(00:50):
Tirec dot com is the way tire buying should be.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
You said, first four. Is that like some religious thing?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, doing it's it's it's the first four, the first four,
first four. First we're NCA games. They called the first four,
first two, first two games, fourteen. This is the first two,
but it's called the first four.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Did they put like smoke come out of the stadium
when they know the winner?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yes, exactly, yes, depending depending on but it may take
a while sometimes.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
May take away is it in the colors of the
school that.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Won, it's it's in the colors of North Carolina because
they clearly had a favor done for them to make
the tournament. So everything is in Carolina blue.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
You know what shocked me, and I'm glad to be
back with you all.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
I'm sorry I missed yesterday on the road and traveling
because I missed the great controversy of oh wait, the
NC Double A was gonna do something wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
We were all shocking.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Way bigger than that. Mike, you missed something, way bigger. Yeah,
you missed, I mean you missed. We had we had
to look back at the life and career of Tracy Morgan.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I mean, yes, I was a big you killed him off.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Now hey, now let me tell you Okay, okay, listen,
we'll get to the tournament a second. We had the
first four game come in Alabama State Saint Francis, of course,
you know, and these two teams get together, throw the
records absolutely because Saint Francis is actually under five hundred.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
That's why you throw the records out. It comes down
to a last second layup. Right now, you're the second
game with North Carolina and San Diego State, and clearly
maybe San Diego State shouldn't have been allowed. In thirty
seven sixteen, UNC lead San Diego State. Now, so is
that the case?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Now?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Does Bubba get an extra like one hundred grand if
North Carolina wins tonight?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Well, for every game they advance?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Did they get an extra one hundred red spot every
time they win?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
And it's going rate as one forty k? Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:30):
So one?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
So they win tonight, which looks like they're gonna do
so one hundred and forty k for him? But I mean,
this is the game you're supposed to win, right, well,
but it's more difficult now.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
But in San Diego State, a lot of people puffing
out their chests expecting great things for them. They have
as many turnovers as they do made shots with under
four minutes remaining here in the first.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, that's that's that's not gonna win.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
They're two of thirteen from the three point line, six
of twenty five from the gate for the game.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
What's the in game betting on UNC winning it all? Now?
What do you think? What do they meant?

Speaker 5 (03:00):
All?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I want to take you looking at they came out
so motivated great, it's one hundred and forty k to one.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
I mean this is well the fact that you also
got in I did. Is it because they didn't want
to make the guy feel bad for the lane violation?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Is that it they they didn't want it.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
You know, we got to look out for the kids,
protect the children, look out for the children.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
And they also looked out for him because you know,
the San Diego State's not a Quad one team, so
you know this is game that North Carolina can win.
If it was a Quad one team they were playing,
there could be in a lot of trouble. Now quad
will be their next game, but still.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Not no subtly North Carolina.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
But you talked about Tracy Morgan, a story that looked
a little weird last night. Yeah, like could have been
a little dangerous now turns out to be okay. And
do I have the best part of this Tracy Morgan
story to tell you? I have the best part? Okay,
So last night Nick's win over the heat, Tracy Morgan
bloody nose, throwing up. You know he's got court sides,

(03:54):
he's been a Nick fan forever and he gets taken
out on a wheelchair.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
We didn't get any real updates.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
All through the entire night, there were no updates on
Tracy Morgan's status, how he was doing. Of course, he
had a lot of health problems in the last few years.
We're all hoping the right things. Frostburg keeps playing sound. Hey,
we have sound of Tracy Morgan.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
You would hear Frostburg conference.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
He wasn't wrong, right, But then we find out today
Tracy Morgan's okay, puts a video up on social.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Media from the hospital.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Food poisoning is what led to what happened last night,
and whatever the story is, clearly he is okay, and
he said, hey, you know I brought the Knick's luck. Okay,
that's great. Maybe me, I gotta throw up at every game.
And I'm moving past the whole. Yes, get Tracy Morgan
at the game and have him throw it before every game.
I mean, if that's what it takes to the Knicks
to win, he's got to do that, right, You got

(04:43):
you gotta do that, man. You gotta get commit to
you got to get there and you got to throw up.
But here's the biggest thing, and this is what nobody's understanding,
is what nobody's talking about, is that the Knicks.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Have their Grimace. We now have our own guy like
the Mets had Grimace, and now Tracy Morgan is the
Nicks Grimace. I don't want to gonna lose again.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
We're gonna run all the way to the Eastern Conference
Finals with Tracy Morgan pretending to throw throw up videos everywhere.
It's gonna be him at the sideline pretending to throw up.
We have argument. He is the pretend Grimace. He's the Grimace.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
He's gotta have raw sausage or pork or something before
every game.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Now, there were people dressing like him going to games,
like when Grimmace would get on the subway going out
to the city fields.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
We have our Grimace. Now. We tried to buy you
a Grimace outfit.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Yeah, we're exorbitantly expensive, unless you really wanted that bootleg
one that just didn't look that.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Would I look like a guy that got kicked off
a Sunset boulevard?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah no, you can't.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
There's the guy.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
You're the fake Grimace Hollywood Boulevard. They kicked his ass
and sent him packing.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Now the Knicks are gonna now, of all, because remember
the last couple weeks and said, look, let's be honest.
There's a list of the teams contending at the top
of the NBA that consists of the Cavaliers and the
Celtics and the Thunder and everybody else is the next
level contenders like the Knicks and the Lakers, although the
Lakers could make a run long as Lebron gets healthy.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
The Lakers like Sprite for the.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Sun's championship game. Yeah no, I mean it looks like
the groin was feeling all right.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
We're thinking after six games and eight nights, Lebron's gonna
miraculously be well enough to play Saturday.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Oh yeah, really that I really send out another post
that just has that, you know, with the the slash.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Through it, and hey, we we navigated that.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Yay.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I mean three sets of back to back. Yeah no, no, no, no, oh,
I'm gonna be good on Saturday.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
So there's that. There's that that group of absolute title
contenders where everybody else you're saying, okay, we're just laughing.
We think we can beat one of these three teams.
But that next group is led by teams like the
Knicks and the Lakers, and the Nuggets are right there.
But now the Knicks have leaped frogged ahead because now
we have Grimace. We have our Grimmace, we have Tracy Morgan,
and now we're going to win.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Watch Watch how many gigs we're just gonna roll through teams.
Now it's gonna be what happened. We have our thing, right,
All teams need a thing to get them through, especially
when your starters play forty two minutes a night, and
this is gonna be what it is. Grimace is gonna
be the burst of energy that gets the Knicks into
the Eastern Conference Finals and beyond at Tracy Morgan is
going to be the Nicks crimas well.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Here's where it gets difficult though, right, I mean, because
he's sitting courtside and he has this issue.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Immediately people are like, well, hey, is it a stroke?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Is it?

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Like? What's going on? And our future team's going to
be as repped up or I should say distracted, distraught
maybe as as Miami was dealing with it, right, because
if it becomes a bit, Tracy's gonna throw up and

(07:41):
then they're gonna do the whole you know, wheelchair thing
and everything that they're are you they gonna commit to
the bit and fail to no like this was legitimately,
you have no idea what kind of emotional resonance a
man of Tracy Morgan's status and stature falling ill on
the sideline, throwing up. I mean, clearly you had a

(08:03):
lot of patrons nearby that were concerned, maybe more so
for their one thousand dollars bags and shoes, then they
weren't necessarily Tracy Morgan in the moment.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Especially when you saw the video of the Knick's locker
room attendant saying, we don't have a mop. Now, yeah,
we don't have I don't know you want me to do,
Scott Foster, we don't have them up.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
I don't know if it's like I mean, you'll prepare it.
I mean doling them in budget cuts. I mean it's
a real thing, no matter what to do. But all
of that to say, you know, you're waiting for the
triumphant return like Cooper Flag. Remember he left in a
wheelchair and he was a heap, and all of a
sudden there he was on the bench chair and everybody
on for Duke in their you know, conference tournament final

(08:44):
stages there, But for Tracy Morgan. Yeah, if you can,
if you can ride it to some level of success
if it gets those guys an extra five minutes of rest.
Because you got to calculate where you're gonna use this now,
because it's it's an important stretch for a Knicks.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Team that doesn't go very deep.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
You're gonna have to use this judiciously, all right, Brunts
is looking a little winded.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Tim's gonna say to get him a couple of minutes here,
Tim is gonna say. You know who else was winded?
Tracy Morgan when he had to throw up in the
middle of that game.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
And what did he do? He found a way to
get in that wheelchair. They wheeled him off. He posted
a good luck message from the hospital that has guts
you Brunson, you're tired because you played a lot of basketball.
Suck it up, get out there, hit a couple of shots. Grimace, Grimace,
he's the Nicks. Grimace.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
But did he out what kind of food he ate?
Was it in stadium? Did he go somewhere before? And
did he have street meet and he doesn't want to
out the guy on the court.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I mean, I don't know, hopefully it was. I got
a lot of question If it was McDonald's, that would
really kind of kill the Grimace. That would hurt the
Grimace thing, so you know it would it would be
okay if it was something else. You know, I wouldn't
want that to be period what was on the meal.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
But look that look and he because you know you
can claim food poisoning off oftentimes' you know the demon alcohol.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah has surface, but it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
I'm not trying to cast his spurs.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
But he's okay, yeah, because I mean that was scary
as hell because of the initial video, because the worst
time it was he went out, had a good time,
went to a game, got sick and had he wheeled off.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
His nose was bleeding and he got the throw up.
Was just the picture that was out there of just
the mid vomit, like the like like they got that boom,
like that shutter speed just went wow, you got that
picture while it's it's hitting the ground and bouncing.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
So did you do you do you think they had
been tipped off? You know someone noticed on Celebrity Row, Hey,
Tracy's kind of rocking back and forth. Watch out just
gonna end badly? You stay fixed on him. I don't know,
I got the game. You you did that?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
It looked like it sort of just happened really quickly,
like it's one of those just came upon you, like,
oh wow, Like not one of those I'm gonna get
because those are always the word the ones that that
I would always rather if I when I think about
the times in my life where I got sick because
you know, I just didn't eat the right thing or
I drank the wrong thing, and I think about how
many times I just would lay there at the times
in misery just I just got to throw up. I

(10:58):
just have to, but I kept you can't, and you
just wait, and you know what's gonna happen. And finally,
I would rather day take me by surprise. I don't
care where, I just take me by surprise.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Ah.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I mean I'm getting sick, right okay, boom right here.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Yeah see I'm if I'm not feeling it, I'm a
if I swallow anything evil, stick your finger down.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
My throat, tell me some bad news before I throw up.
At the Knicks game, Well, there's act like a fool.
Just be done with it exactly.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah, you know this isn't a great thing. You're trying
to make it good, but it's they won Now. Look,
he's a lot ninety five percent, just build Grimace from
literally puke. Sure you can. You could build out of anything,
No of anything Grimmas throughout the first ball, the Mets game,
something grims grimas grimis grims. Tracy Morgan throws up at
the Knicks game. The Knicks win by twenty. He's, okay,
this is what now in ninety five percent, when I

(11:44):
say this here, you say, oh, we're having fun. Yeah,
of course we're having fun. We entertained, we did what
we do.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
But five percent of it is, like, you know what,
winning teams tend to have a thing, right, They tend
to have that bit of that bit of intangible that
gets you through.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Whether it's the Mets with Grimace or the OMG. All
teams have a right.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
When the White Sox won, it was it was journey
and don't stop believing, right, that was what they were.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
Yeah, I mean you would winning, ugly and yeah, slapping
you know all because they went out to a karaoke
night and they told the bartend to play some bleeping
journey and they did and they laughed.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
They won the next day. Like, winning teams tend to
have that fun rallying cry keeps the team loose. It
keeps you focused and it's a fun thing to go
along with the team with and you think, hey, we
have extra powers that are helping us. And in a
weird way, like Tracy Morgan really could be the Knicks
Grimm's Like, hey, okay.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
It was.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
It was horrible that he threw up, but I'm glad
he's okay, and he's he's our He's our Grimace. Now
maybe Tracy Morgan, she would just dress up as Grimace.
Now he dressed up his Grimace. But you see Tracy
Morgan's head and you see his face, and that's how
it works.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
For the next am I a horrible person from pointing
out the fact he just had a comedy show picked
up about a disgraced former football player on a mission
to rehabilitate his image.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Oh so wait, so you think that this could be
a whole thing?

Speaker 7 (13:01):
Oh wait, wait wait you think this could be Okay,
I'll literally it just got nicked up.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Tina Fey led with Bobby Boy and everybody out board.
So they found out that that got a green light
and now this happened to him matter next year.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Oooh so it got green time before? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Oh if it got different greenlit on Saint Patty's Dawn.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Before, Well, I would say this, I would say definitively,
because I know what that they do things in Hollywood
is that I would say if it was up in
the air of being greenlit and then this happened, and
then it got green lit, I would say, yes, but
you tell me got green lit before.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Maybe it's a little bit too much celebration.

Speaker 7 (13:37):
I bet day Leon, I'm lit, Liz Lemon, Liz Lemon,
I'm back, Liz Lemon, grim back lit.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Yeah, let's go. I like it now. I'm with you there.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
But uh, it doesn't matter because no matter what, he's
the next green He's Grimace. He's Grimace now. Now we're
gonna win.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Now. There's a big difference between entertaining and lying. Uh,
what do you mean? What did you lie about? What
do you lie about? He got sick of the next game,
in the next one by twenty, that's all that grew
up because he was watching you guys play. No, he's
watching the heat plays, Sien, Well, I'm watching the heat play.
It was science. He threw up after he's very bad basketball.
He saw four straight misses by Tyler Hero and that
was enough for me. Could he couldn't. He couldn't take it.

(14:12):
Remember him saying that postgame, No I saw the video,
it's we heard the audio. Yeah, no, no, no, the
same body. Hey look, Bubba, get in some airtime.

we are less than twenty minutes away from the first

(17:31):
edition of f TV or Not TV, the greatest radio.
I mean, look, the Magic Johnson Twitter game is great,
but you know Magic hasn't been tweeting a lot lately.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
But True TV or Not And so where we kick
things off, you got the best way we can now.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
The Magic Johnson game was you know, often imitated and
never duplicated. Nobody's been bold enough. I don't believe to
try to just outright steal this one.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
No, it's it's tough. It's tough to do false TV
or not to you. So again, we are twenty minutes
away from the first true TV or Not TV game.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
But big, middle or low I mean, but as.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
We got set and again it's it's North Carolina in
a runaway right now against San Diego State.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
In the second game of the first four, I heard.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
The folks in San Diego saying, it's, you know, a
shame that we even have to play on this like
that was the pre games, Like what are we doing
in this yet?

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Look what you did?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Oh wow, hang on, we're losing by twenty four at
half time, not a second forty seven.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
To twenty three at half. Both games tonight on True TV.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
But today was also opening day in Major League Baseball.
Yes in Japan, where we're about seven hours away from
the second game of the regular season in Japan, Roki
Sasaki's MLB debut, the Dodge and the Cubs game that
began at six.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Am Eastern times. Jason, you had me at Rokia.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
I figured I did, but you know, hey, just for
grins and giggles, this is how Game one of the
MLB regular season went down.

Speaker 8 (18:58):
Raziers to two. Chani rips us one the right field.
It's down the ladder to the corner. Show he around first.
He will rumble in the second with a ninth in
ang lead off double going to swing and a miss
strike three.

Speaker 6 (19:13):
The Dodgers pitching was overwhelming behind hometown hero Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Otani delivers a couple of hits and the Dodgers win
at four to one in the MLB opener.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
So there it is on AM five seventy show Hey,
O Tani sang out to the game. I've never been
this nervous before a game, before playing his first game
back in Japan, and he had a couple of hits
and the Dodgers win a very workman like game over
the Cubs. And I know there's a right, what do
we take away? It's one game regular What do we
take away? What do we takeway? Should we be playing
the games in Japan? Should we not play play somewhere else.

(19:50):
I'll tell you what I took away watching this game.
And this is it's one game of the regular season.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
It's one game watching the Dodgers seamlessly go to their
bullpen and you see that as good as they were
last year with guys like Vesia and trying in and
whether it's it's band that coming in or somebody else,
you saw the bullpen in the postseason really just help

(20:19):
rally the team against the Padres and throw good enough
baseball to win the World Series. Right, you need your
bullpen to come through, and the Dodgers' bullpen did. You
had Bueler closing out the World Series in the ninth inning,
and that was something because the bullpen was really the
Dodgers one Achilles he like, you get in the bullpen,
you can hit them and there look, there's relievers that
you can hit on the Dodgers. But now watching how

(20:40):
easy it was to go Yamamoto. Trinon's got the eighth inning,
Tanner Scott comes in and easy ninth inning for him.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Right, Kirby Ates didn't even pitch. He's having a little
bit of a rough spring. But it doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
This guy they're paying thirteen million dollars a year two
like this is the scary part for me is that
the Dodgers have three guys that can close, and they
have the every day relievers that have been through the
pressure cooker of winning, of winning big playoff games and
winning a World Series and the one Achilles heel that
you can talk about a team where hey, you get

(21:11):
into their bullpen, that that changes things like I watch going,
how are how are the Dodgers gonna get beat?

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Exactly?

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Like?

Speaker 1 (21:19):
How are they gonna get beat? Because the starting pitching
bringing in Blake Snell and Rokie Sasaki. Okay, right, you
brought into terrific pitchers. You're not paying Sasaki anything to
go along with Yamamoto. That's a huge strength. And now
the bullpen is this right like Taylor Glass now as well? Right,
you have you have a huge starting staff, where last
year you were kind of all right, let's get to

(21:39):
the end and see what we can squeeze out of
our starters. Right, Kershaw will pitch at some point during
the season and what is probably his last year. So
the Dodgers fixed that. But the fact when you fix
the bullpen like this and they can throw three closers
at you, and they can just you know, seamlessly go
Hey Vessier for two thirds an inning and then then
you're coming in with and with Trying and or it's
it makes it really is heartening because I think, how

(22:01):
is this team gonna get beat? And again, I know
it's one game, but I could just see how the
Dave Roberts, who loves the bullpen, you know, find someone
who loves you as much as Dave Robert loves the
Dodger bullpen. But when you see that these are now
the easy options, like the game is gonna be easy
this year?

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Like I I could manage his.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Team and say, okay, Yates and the seventh, uh Trying
in the eighth and and Scott in the ninth. Scott
pitched the last two days. Guess what Blake trying to?
You have the ninth inning today and Vesia you have
the seventh.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Like it just seems.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
I mean, well, somebody's got to walk out there and
tell Kershaw I need the baseball.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
I mean, that's it. You gotta get You got Ye's
combat pay for that. He Kirk Clayton.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
I just want to let you know I can take
it out of the game now. But I mean that
that's that's what I take away from this going. Man,
just this Dodger team, as great as it was last year,
there's no week and you try to find a weakness,
and injuries could always be a thing.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
Right.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Mookie Betts is ill not playing in this in this series, obviously,
but he's gonna be okay. Freddie Freeman was a late
scratch with an injury that hurt him at the end
of last year. But you can't you can't predict that
and come out for that. It's just okay. Every buddy's
got a weakness. And the Dodgers their bullpen, it's just
now they're just gonna roll through relievers and they have
three guys capable of fixing the back end of the

(23:08):
of any game.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Well, but look what they were able to do last year.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
I mean they were still a top five team bullpen
e r A last year, and they were battle tested
because you had so many starters go down due to injury,
and you were just begging guys to get through four
or five innings.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
So by time you got to the playoffs, they'd seen
it all.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
They'd come in in every situation imaginable and so to
jump off as you did. Here Yamamoto having a great start,
him and Imanaga a great battle up at the top.
I mean, that was the fun thing to watch, the
two battle. They were the beneficiaries of a very generous
strike zone. I think we would say all pitchers were

(23:46):
for that matter. But to that end, yeah, your your
bullpen analysis, absolutely right. A great luxury to have in
this day and age that you can do the all right,
here's here's the best laid plan. And then obviously they've
got a lot of arms coming back off injuries. So
watching to see how the front office and Dave Roberts

(24:08):
agreed to their reinsertion. You mentioned Kershaw, but you had
so many other guys miss time that it's a luxury
that they're afforded that no other team really is. I mean,
Dave Roberts loves his bullpen, and they loved him back
by performing as well as they did so, earning the
trust to where you can flip the switch. And certainly

(24:32):
in today's baseball, how many times are you gonna get it,
even with your top guys, that you're gonna get a
start that goes seven innings? It's rarefied error. Right, We laugh,
and we look at the back of baseball cards from
the seventies. Look how many complete games this guy through
a right?

Speaker 3 (24:47):
Ah?

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah, twenty five complete games and his thirty five starts.
Now you have twenty five for a league because you
need your bullpen at the ready, and certainly playing these
early games. That's the other thing to take away from
it is you're not gonna stretch guys too far. You're
going to take every opportunity to manage your bullpen because

(25:09):
while these games are important, you know the standalone nature
of them, the global impact. Because right now Rob Manford
is putting out his best to Adam silver Hat, see
what we're doing overseas. Look at the gonzone numbers overseas ESPN.
You'll rue the day that you ripped up and didn't
want to negotiate with us further. But all of that

(25:29):
to say, you've got a long season to manage. So
Dave Roberts being able to at least come out of
the gate and say, all right, we've got this.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
That works.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
Man, he's gonna tanker with it. That's that's gonna be
the fun of watching the Dodger team. And all thoughts
out to Mookie Betts because as of now they've not
diagnosed what the hell went on yet. He had to
be sent home for more tests and he dropped fifteen pounds,
is what David Roberts, that's usually that's the.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Flu slash food poisoning. He was hanging out with Tracy Moore.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
That's what I'm saying. We got to tie it all together.
Should we weave a rich tapestry here?

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Game on the flight? Oh oh wow, that's so wrong.
It's funny. Run, it's so so wrong. But I mean,
like even the bullpen looks bulletproof and that is so disheartening.
That's just like, oh man, after day one, it's like, yeah,
we're just gonna roll our guys out right, and we
didn't even need yates, right.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
I mean, this is just it really is. It's really
really difficult for it and I'm sitting here.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
I'm excited. I can't wait for Soto and everything with
the Mets. I feel so great, and I'm continuing to
buy Mets gear every day it's on, and I just go,
I don't know. I don't know what it's gonna take. Really,
I mean I really don't know. Because if the bullpen
continue to be bullet bulletproof and and the interchangeable relievers
at the back end, I mean, it's I don't know
what to say. I really don't don't. But in the end,

(26:48):
it's it's in the margins, right.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
That's the beauty of what baseball has always been is
that you can line up these super teams.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
We do it for the NFL. It's like, all right,
this team is gonna be unbeatable.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
The wrong guy gets hurt at the wrong time, or
one bad pitch, one bad decision, and it all goes
to hell. I mean, look at go go back to
the World Series. Dodgers are world champions. Aaron Judge catches
that fly ball. Who the hell knows what happened? Oh yeah, right,
I mean well they were still down three to one
at that point. It's still I'm still gonna come back
and win. You got it but got a winner game.

(27:23):
But the door is still open if everybody else can
put all these series to bed because of botches.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Uh in the other way, you know when Bill Buckner
you know that?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Yeah, well no, I mean it was still had the department.
There was another game it might have gone, but it
might have gone the other way where you might have
been able to keep going and find some momentum.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
It could have.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
But still if they won that, they had to finish
winning that game.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Yeah, no, I get that.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
They had to come back by point is where there
is still an opportunity.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Oh sure, and now you can watch your season die
on a vine very quick clip, because.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
That wasn't one air we watched it. It was three Yeah, yeah,
full force. But I'll tell you it's comedy.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
It's really difficult when I'm walk because I tape the
g I'm like, I'm not going to stay up and
watch I come on, you didn't take a nap and
get back up, stay up till three in the morning,
and I'm like, all right, I gotta go, I gotta
go to bed. I'll stay up if it's like like
the last time I stayed up when I woke up
early to see. That was the United States game in
the World Cup when the US women got knocked out
on on on penalties. I'm like, oh wow, that was

(28:26):
the last time. I said, like, I'll stay up for that.
But like, okay, day one of the bit when I
can watch it and I can wake up and kind
of not have to worry about knowing the result because yes,
it's day one of the baseballs, But okay, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
No, I did it was fine. I was I was happy,
happy to see Pikachu before the game, dueling Pikachu before
the game. But I'm just you got to see something
that you'll never probably see for the first two weeks.
What's that a win? Win?

Speaker 4 (28:50):
You? It is?

Speaker 1 (28:52):
It is still spring training for another two weeks after
you guys come back. You know you guys need all
the spring training again. I'll see you in the NLCS.
I don't know this out, but I'll see you in
the NLCS, and I'll see whatever one of your relievers
has a two to on two odd situation in the
eighth inning against Lindor and Soto, and we'll see who
comes out on top.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
You can pretend it's live all you want, but we
all know it's last year's games.

of Fox Sports Radio. He sits around, does nothing for

(29:36):
a while, and then just goes to the bullpen. It's
Steve Disager.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
Clearly you were talking about our contracts. I thought, oh,
by the way, and the Dodgers, who would have had
to have an all bullpen game after losing at Yankee
Stadium if they had in Game five? So I looked
up when they were against the Mets in the NLCS,
they had two all bullpen games. The Dodgers gave up
seven runs in the first one and five.

Speaker 9 (29:58):
Runs in the other one.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
You also had the all bull pen game and they
beat the Padres in a winner, go home game.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Yeah, we're down to one in that series.

Speaker 5 (30:04):
It's just unlikely that they won that title last year,
and they're better on paper this year. As for whatever's
going on for San Diego State.

Speaker 9 (30:14):
Against North Carolina Tonight?

Speaker 5 (30:16):
The iikes Asdecs were down thirty three thirteen after about
thirteen minutes against the Tar Heels. They're just about to
start the second half. Carolina leads forty seven to twenty three.
Keep in mind the context. Out of about three hundred
and fifty college basketball teams in Division One, San Diego
State was number one in the country in field goal

(30:37):
percentage defense.

Speaker 9 (30:38):
They only allowed less than.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
Thirty eight percent shooting from the floor for the season.
North Carolina shot sixty one percent from the floor in
the first half tonight. Alabama State is going to play
Auburn on Thursday. In the first round. Bama won it.
It's playing game. Bama State must call him. Against Saint Francis, PA,
seventy to sixty eight was the final.

Speaker 9 (31:00):
On a last second layup after a length of the
court pass.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Nick Saban coached that game. Didn't he you know, I
haven't seen him lately?

Speaker 9 (31:07):
Okay, maybe he was free, all right?

Speaker 5 (31:09):
It is kind of funny that it's Alabama State against
Auburn in.

Speaker 9 (31:13):
The Thursday matchup. Texas plays It's playing tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Do you think they'll be really full of Iron Bowl rivalry.
There it's Alabama State Auburn on Friday.

Speaker 9 (31:23):
It is true TV. How are you gonna.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
It'll be the big Alabama in big front Alabama, and
then the little state versus Auburn.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
It'll be Alabama colors in Auburn colors, and it'll be
a headshot of Cam Newton, headshot of Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Yeah, watch Friday night seven o'clock, get in there and sell, sell, sell.

Speaker 5 (31:41):
Twenty type eight type Alabama State NBA, by the way,
only four games.

Speaker 9 (31:45):
Tonight.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
Austin did not have the injured Jason Tatum or Jalen
Brown and came back to beat Brooklyn one oh four
ninety six Kristaps Porzingis twenty five points and thirteen rebounds.
Atlanta Cruise did Charlotte one thirty four to one oh two.
Hornets record seventeen and fifty one. Golden State does not
have Steph Curry tonight, out resting as stray and lower back.
Warriors are leading late first quarter twenty five, twenty two

(32:09):
against the Bucks. Late game about to start in La.
The Clippers going for a four straight winner hosting Cleveland,
Oklahoma City. Shay Gilders. Alexander is out for the Wednesday
game against the Sixers for rest.

Speaker 9 (32:20):
Among the nine NHL games, Washington a four to one
winner over Detroit.

Speaker 5 (32:25):
The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Mcole Hartman, and
the Patriots signed quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Dodgers beat the Cubs
four to one, and the season opener in Tokyo. The
Cubs led one nothing after four innings, but their offense
went three for thirty today with nine strikeouts.

Speaker 9 (32:40):
Freddie Freeman was.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
A late scratch with a sore rib. Dodgers left eleven
men on base. Dodgers and Cubs play again, this time
on FS one Wednesday, also at six a m.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Eastern Times Steeve, Who's on the mound? Tegas Evo Sasaki?

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Yes, yeah, get ready, Frostbur's gonna you are gonna watch
this one.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Sinaki? Ready, you're gonna gonn watch this one all the
way live?

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Right?

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Oh yeah, okay, Oh it's morning sake with Sasaki. Come on,
Oh hey, patting that idea talk about you, but I
get about coffee with the cops. Man, let's go. You
could just do sake with Sasak like that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Like it doesn't need to be. And you got out
at Dodger Stadium during the season. He was holding up
the little sell that. I don't know how they would
serve sake and at a baseball Yeah, a little plastic.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Helmet.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Yeah, sure to do that too.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
Well, there's nothing they're not going to be selling considering
the payroll.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
So oh this is true.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Soon they're going to charge for the kids to run
the bases after the game on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
I thought that should have been I'm sorry, sir, that's
five dollars. All I did was walk to my seat. Yeah,
but you walked on the concourse level.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Air charge.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
If you walk in the on concourse level, it's five dollars.
Oh all right, great, I appreciate that. Thank you, Steve O.

we will do that. However, we got to do it
in ten minutes. Behare's a really good tease. I promised
very first thing this hour the first edition of True

It's called True TV or Not TV. I give you
a show title and description, and you tell me if

TV has on, or if it is made up entirely

(36:34):

You're not TV. Blood Bath and Beyond.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
A clip show highlighting the wildest videos from retail stores
on Black Friday. Bloodbath and Beyond a clip show highlighting
the wildest videos from retail stores on Black Friday.

Speaker 9 (37:14):
You'd have enough for a show, But I'll say no.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
You have enough for many, many shows on that. Yeah,
season fifteen of Bloodbath and Beyond.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
I was gonna say, we can get the old seventies
and eighties footage.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
We got something Cabine patch out. No, No, Okay, I
don't know if I'm gonna have enough time? Well why
not maybe some home depot.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Ty shirt Bloodbath and Beyond. No, but that sounds dope,
doesn't It sound like it would be a great show.
In fact, this show is, it's not a true TV show,
But we wrote, Rokie got that one right. True TV
execs are going, oh, I gotta write that down that title.
But I think I got that title from a Simpsons episode.

(37:57):
I think there was on one of the Treehouts of
Horror episodes they went tolood bath and being.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Out right just wait for the sinker. How great would
that show be?

Speaker 6 (38:04):
Right?

Speaker 1 (38:04):
It's all these great Black Friday videos of people fighting
over clothes and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
One of the best is a lot of it is
nobody can really sue you. It's a statute of limitations
because they're gonna.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Be old videos.

Speaker 9 (38:15):
Also, bloodbaths could be the game on True TV right now?

Speaker 3 (38:19):
Yeah, what is?

Speaker 1 (38:20):
It's eighty seven to four right now, North Carolina with
the lead. Good job, good effort. But the Aztecs have
a mini Dicka the spread with three and a half.
Oh mind, it's gonna be thirty shortly to say thirty
and a half or three and a half, thirty and
a half? Okay, got it all right? Rock You Like

(38:41):
a Scorpion? Rock You Like a Scorpion? A nature show
in the vein of Meerkat manner that follows groups of
scorpions and how they survive desert and suburban conditions in Arizona,
hosted by a member of the Scorpion. Hosted by Klaus Mind,
the lead singer of the Scorpion. Rock You Like a Scorpion,
h Your show in the vein of meerkat Manor follows

(39:02):
groups of Scorpions and how they survived desert and suburban
conditions in Arizona.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
I'm all forgetting a guy named Klaus back in, but
the answer is no. I'll say no, Okay, isn't that
who sang the song the Scorpions?

Speaker 1 (39:16):
The Scorpions sang rock You Like a Hurricane. That's why
this show is called Rock You Like as you got
it from. It's not it can't be a show.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Then how did where do you think anybody gets ideas from? Well?
You mostly from Snapple caps Okay, I do trivia off
a Snapple cats. I like the trivia, all right, ty Shirt,
Rock You Like a Scorpion? They still make Snapple Jason,
it sounds as believable as San Diego State almost coming.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
Back in this guy, Do you even know who the
Scorpions are? San Diego status? What's okay? What state in
the country do you think San Diego State is in Aztecs.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Wow, California, I'm in the state of Aststices and I'm
looking for my gold.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
I think you've been in.

Speaker 9 (39:57):
The desert kind of belonged to the Aztecs.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
I did it, did it?

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Did?

Speaker 3 (40:01):
And then there was yeah, a long long time ago,
there was a guy in the place sacrifice. There were pyramids.

Speaker 9 (40:07):
They played basketball for keeps.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
Yeah, oh boy? Is this never forget a San Diego
state party? Is this a loser goes home? Much though
loser doesn't go? Rock You like a Scorpion?

Speaker 4 (40:19):
Is?

Speaker 2 (40:19):
No?

Speaker 3 (40:19):
Take it elsewhere?

Speaker 5 (40:21):
Is?

Speaker 3 (40:24):
How do you know I haven't given these? How do
you know you're not that clever? Rock you like a score?
Don Air and Arrow par but I went on rock

Speaker 6 (40:37):

Speaker 7 (40:40):
There's your opening theme song to a show. Let's go
to Arizona. Check out the Scorpions. Where do you invade
your suburban home and garage?

Speaker 2 (40:53):
Pick a question?

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Will the winds have changed?

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Health the Aztecs in the second half, it is not a.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
Show on TV. We'll play again next hour. Coming up
