(00:51):
about four and a half to go before halftime, the
offensive pace has slowed.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
A little bit.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
It is the Warriors on top of the Lakers right now.
Forty dude, forty three to thirty seven. Lebron got hitting
the stomach early in the game. He came out. He
has come back into the game.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
He has just six points so far.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
He and Luka Doncic have combined for twelve and it's
the Warriors with an eight point lead right now, just
before halftime.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Again, not even a big night.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Steph Curry's only got seven. It has been a night
for the supporting players so far. At the Crypt, Mike
harmon you. If you came to this game expecting fireworks
from Steph and Luca and Lebron, you're looking for your
money back right now.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Well, on the plus side, they're all playing. Oh that
is true. Yeah, you know what.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
I gotta find some positivity in that they're not sitting
there in street clothes, you know, drinking wine or staring
up into the rafters.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
So I mean we at least got that going for you. Yeah.
And no finger gun gestures from Buddy Healed yet, right,
I haven't seen it yet.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
I haven't seen But unlike John Moran who got warned
today and still decided, I'm going to give you a
finger gun gesture. We'll get to that more coming up
in about twenty minutes. But I don't see anything from
Buddy Healed yet so far. Okay, Well, we'll keep an
eye on him.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I mean, I don't know if you have a someone
stalking him from the sideline for you, your own reporter,
your own intern or camera person. This is when I
came around.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
I actually like Kramer when he had the intern. No, no,
I actually have Dalton with here. Luck, we'll get those chickens.
Yeah you know me, I have I have ends with
the Lakers because JJ redickates me. I have Dalton connect on.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
It for me. He's the one doing it. Oh okay, good, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
He's my source. I found out that you can have
sources anywhere, like this new Susan of Bosh that's out.
Everybody has sources within the within the police department, within
the DA's office. Every every time. Oh I wish we
knew what they were doing. Well, I have someone inside.
Oh okay, So I think it's easy to get somebody
inside somewhere because everybody seems to have somebody inside. Thing
(02:47):
with the guy in the place, Look somebody outside, Muddy
Chandler's got somebody inside.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Everybody's got somebody inside somewhere.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I've been watching a lot of NYPD Blue. There's a
lot of inside men and women on these jobs. Man,
let me sure it's always Hey, it was an was
an inside job. That's what Sipplewitch just comes up and goes.
We think it was an inside job, like you just
gotta waits it. Well, season two I think it was
episode six or seven. Is the first time that you
gets Sipowitz's ass? Just for those you know that want
to go back in chronicle television history.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Wow, it's like you gave me my own personal mister
skin moment. Here. You want to know when you.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
See Sipplewitz's ass and n White Pad blue for the
first time. It's season two, episode seven, forty one minutes
and sixteen seconds in, and then three seconds later you
get Sharon Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
There you go, So there we go?
Speaker 1 (03:36):
All right, Mike Harmon, who is your man for Andy
Sipplewitz nudity? If you want to stream NYPD blue, he's
your guy? Well, and where where have I seen that
actor or actress? We can play that game.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
All we want.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Are you gonna say, where have I seen Sipplewitz's ass before?
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Is that simple? Ants? I really thought that's where you're
gonna go. It's a new game show sweeping the nation.
I'm gonna show you a picture, is it? Or is
it that sip of witzz.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Like that TikTok thing going around where Seth Myers tries
to play. Is this actor in the MCU and Paul
Rudd keeps getting it wrong.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
No, No, they're in the mc You know I never
acted with that guy. How would I know?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I'm in the in the n But how about a
big bold prediction when it comes to another quarterback in
the NFL?
Speaker 2 (04:25):
You ready for let's go.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
I've saved this for tonight just because it is it
my guy quarterback.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
We haven't talked about you, dude.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I love listen, man, I'm telling you I'm in I'm
full of so much. I love the Cowboys what they
did today. I love what the Raiders did to that love.
I love what everybody I love. I love what the
Bears did.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Man. I love this year for Caleb Williams.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I feel like, man, I's taking something I shouldn't have taken.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Man, You're just.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
I mean Myles Boykin plus case Keenum come on now,
I mean Tyser just said here, eat this Collie flower, man,
and I said, okay.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
And not.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
He doesn't like Collie Flower. You can name almost anything else.
That's the one.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
He's gonna yell at you now what you're doing.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
But that's what made me eating because I know if
he doesn't want me to eat it, and something I
should probably eat. That's ty Shirts playing checkers, man, and
I'm just I'm playing back abd man.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
No, man, no, you're playing a fellow. Man, remember a fellow.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
With the Chillen Hall and h.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Washington out there? Yeah, tell you, I go. There's lots
of stuff happening out here. Man. Uh. Different movie. Oh yeah,
I wish I could quit you.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
That's different yet different, different movie, different movie. Not not
nearly a fellow.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
No, no, But there was a report today. I believe
Mike Florio Pro football.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Talks and hey, chances are getting slim that the Steelers
are gonna wind up getting Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
And you had Ben Roethlisberger.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Again, someone's gonna hire Ben Roethlisberger and he's gonna be
a popular analyst somewhere that he believes that Aaron Rodgers
is not gonna go to the Steelers, and he's waiting
for the Vikings. I'll tell you this right now, right,
I know it seems like a FATA complee that Rogers
is gonna join the Steelers. Then you can believe whatever
you want. You can believe that, well, they're working on
(06:22):
the money. The money shouldn't be any any sort of obstacle. Right,
Aaron Rodgers is not at the point where he can
dictate what he wants money wise. This should be something
that's figured out pretty easily. Always waiting because Pat McAfee
has a big appearance in Pittsburgh and that's when he's
gonna do it. Yeah, that's too predictable for Aaron Rodgers.
He's not gonna do that, right. And the Steelers, oh,
(06:45):
by the way, they would like to have him in
the building at some point.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
They'd like to get a playbook to him.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
They'd like the team, the team to not grumble in
grouse and build bad will that. Oh, Rogers could come here,
but he's just waiting to make it dramatic. You know,
you want your quarterback to come in and be a leader, right.
Thearon Rodgers knows what it's about being a leader. And
all the stories about him with the Jets last year,
half the team loved him, right and had great stories
about him. And hey, Rogers, is this He's not what
(07:11):
you think he is. Yes, you know, off the field
is one thing, but this is what the guys like
in the locker room. If Rogers wanted to be a Steeler,
he would be there, right, he's not way. It's not
like it's the decision where Rogers could go a bunch
of different places. It's either Pittsburgh or nobody, right, That's
where it is. If he wanted to go there, he
(07:31):
would have gone there. He's going through the motions right now. Yes,
he threw to DK metcalf because really, and I believe Roethlisberger,
he's content to wait out. Maybe maybe not so much
of the vikings, but as far as I'm gonna wait
out another situation, because you know, Rogers has I got
one year left here. I mean maybe if I have
a great year, it's two. But I look at it
(07:52):
as I gotta choose this team really careful, because this
is the end of my career, and it's a big
damning indictment of the Steelers that he hasn't gone there yet,
that he thinks there's a better opportunity out there than
the Steelers. And I'm willing to wait. I'm willing to
wait to try to control the narrative that I'm in
charge of the career now instead of the Jets pushing
me out and I beg to stay with the Jets. No, No,
(08:14):
I'm in charge of things. The fact that he doesn't
want to go to Pittsburgh, that he's not there already
tells me. I don't think they're as close to winning
as you think they are, despite the fact that we
brought a Dk metcalf right. You know, is he going
to really go to Pittsburgh and love playing for Mike Tomlin.
Probably not. It's Mike Tomlin's where the highway you saw
Mike Tomlin. He chased with stars who have their own
(08:35):
opinions about things that might not always be good for
the team.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Aaron Rodgers is that guy you think he wants to
go play for Mike Tomlin. Of course not.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
He wants to go or I can steamroll the head
coach and I can do my own thing. Or I
can be the quarterback and Robert Sala can be the
head coach of the defense. Or I could just make
funnel the floor and just you know, put my foot
on his throat every Tuesday when I go on Pat
McAfee show. He doesn't want to go to Pittsburg where
he's got to be beholden to Mike Tomlin. He is
more happy waiting out a situation that is more beneficial
(09:05):
to him. And maybe it's Minnesota. He's willing to wait
this out a long time, right because Minnesota needs to
know that JJ McCarthy's healthy and that he's ready to
assume the role. And if he's not, if JJ McCarthy
isn't a healthy or doesn't look good, and I don't
know why. He looked really good in the preseason game
he played last year before he got hurt, So I
don't know why he's not gonna look good this year.
(09:26):
But he's waiting for an opportunity he thinks is better
than the one he's got with Pittsburgh. And that's a thing.
And eventually he may wind up, you know, he would.
He might go to Pittsburgh if there's nothing else out there.
But event Pittsburgh's gonna make a move, they're gonna try
to make a trade, they're gonna try to get a court,
they're gonna try to do something. But if he wanted
to be a Steeler, he would be there by now.
(09:47):
He's not waiting for some kind of crazy announcement, not
waiting for pet to make an announcement. People would know
if he goes on Pat McPhee and says that if
he wanted to be a Steeler he would be a Steeler,
and that tells you a lot about what he thinks
about what Pittsburgh is. He's waiting for a better opportunity
to potentially present itself.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yeah, I mean you never know why. It's spins coming
out of the owners meeting. I mean, he was part
of that little selfie spinnerama move that Jay Glazer did
when he was hanging out there showing all his guys.
I mean, you had Andy Reid and Mike Tomlin and
I think Rogers was the second guy there. Tell me
you all all you listened across the globe on the
iHeartRadio app wherever you are, tell me you didn't stop
(10:23):
it and try to read his hat.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
What does that say? I missed it. I'll go back,
go back, go back.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
I forget what the logo was, but it was like
a clothing company. And that's boring because I'm looking at
the colors. I'm like the kind of kind of muted
steal it. No not, but it was one of those
all right, you go around and everybody's there. You got
the disheveled looking coaches having a rough off season as
they honder what they're coming back to. But I think
(10:49):
the the endgame with this is we want it now,
we want It's the microwave society, right, It's why everybody's
complaining about the transfer portal.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Why get these kids and stay and learn and grow
because the money's out there. You're a top eight guy.
John mcclayan was saying it last week. You're getting five
hundred thousand dollars. Likewise, here we want answers. We want
everybody in their new uniforms so we can get a
new trading card photo or have our fund building our
websites and projections.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Aaron Rodgers like, there's nothing forcing him to make a
decision today. So to your point, why not wait it out?
See if something crazy happens. Guy slips in the.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Shower, Guy decides he doesn't want to come back, team decides, Hey,
something that we found in the background checks and what's
going on. We're not comfortable with this, or a guy
like McCarthy, you know what, the health isn't checking out.
There's a million reasons why something can go sideways in
every professional aspect, you know, when we're talking about football
(11:53):
players or the shop down the street. So for Aaron Rodgers,
what's forcing him to make a decision today.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Nothing.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
I mean really, and there's only one choice right now.
It's Pittsburgh or nothing. Right. It's the choice my uncle
gave my cousin when he was applying to colleges in
the early two thousands, where he didn't know where he
wanted to go. He wasn't excited about a couple of
places he got in. He got into Courtland, right, got
into sunny Courtland, and we're like, oh, I'm very excited
to go to Courtland. Okay, okay, great, great great. And
then he said he told my uncle, yeah, his dad,
(12:23):
I don't know Courtland.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
I think I like Courtland. I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
And my uncle looked at him in the eye and
said it's Courtland or the Army. And he realized, oh, well,
then then I guess it's Courtland. He decided I want
to go to Courtland. So it's kind of it's it's
pittsburghor nobody. And Rogers is okay right now, saying I'm
okay with nobody. I'm okay with nobody, because look, the Steelers,
you know, they want an answer. I you know, as
(12:48):
much as they say everything is fine, we're waiting for
the reft, you know, they want an answer. They want
to know what are we doing going into the draft?
What are we doing? Are we trying to trade up
for a quarterback?
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Are we not?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
I mean I don't believe Tomlin for a second where
he's We're happy with Mason Rudolph.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I mean no, come on. So you know they want
to know, and you know his teammates want to know.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
You already have some Steelers players kind of chafing that
either he wants to be here or he does it.
What is he really waiting for? There's no place else
out there. When you can go there and there's no
other choice, it means I don't really want to go there,
and he's going to exhaust every single possibility before he
has to make that call. Again, It's an eye opening
thing to show you. This is what Aaron Rodgers thinks
(13:27):
about the opening at quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This
just tells you what do you think about that opportunity?
But Jason right now, I mean he can still go
through to DK Metcalf or whoever the hell wants to
have a cup of coffee and hang out a minute
and then have a catch. So what's the difference whether
he's on their payroll or not. Hey, guys, you want
to meet up at the.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Park, Let's go this way.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
You still get to get your workouts in show that
you have some interest. You get to ask all the questions.
DK's not going to have the guy be the guy
to have all the answers. But I have no doubt
he's got money, of friends and locker rooms across the
country and across the league. So you start piecing it
together and you make your decision. But why not take
(14:09):
it to the eleventh hour with all the information you
can possibly get before you have to go adhere to
somebody else's rules, Because don't you have more freedom as
a guy who doesn't have a contract in terms of
what you can do with your spare time as well?
If all of your friends had dates to the prom
and you didn't, and everybody you were gonna ask is
not going, and there's one person you could ask that
(14:31):
would go with you, and you don't ask that person.
How bad do you really want to go to the problem?
How bad do you really want to go to the
problem with that person? I'm gonna wait and see if
something else opens up. Maybe there's a breakup and I
can slide right in somewhere and as somebody else. You
don't want to act like that doesn't happen. You don't
want to go to the problem with that person. I'm
telling you that's what he doesn't want to go to
the Steelers. He does not want to go there. He
(14:53):
would be there if he was. He's okay with waiting
it all out, telling you exit. How about a Fresco
exit swollen dome. If he wanted to be a Steeler,
he would.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Be a steeper. How many times are you gonna say it?
We have? I'm just telling you because I mean i'mon
Harmon to understand the thing about the count? Four times?
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Would you just not how many times you've watched Otani's
walk off home run in the last five I.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Would be one hundred and forty.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Coming up next, we get back into the biggest basketball

Barn burner right now, Mike Harmon, the n I T Championship,
the Mockx and the and Eaters. It is a one
point game in overtime cal Irvine with the eighty one
eighty lead over.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Chattanooga right now.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
And I don't know if you bet this game, but
I wouldn't be surprised I did not, Okay, I kind.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Of wish I had. I mean, look, I didn't know
that that far down the roster here, Okay, all right,
I mean we we have some live action for the weekend,
so I didn't double up like I've already were already invested.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Oh okay, all right, So so you you didn't want
to didn't want to throw on another another edition here.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Okay, yeah, yes, I know.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
So today we we we let it pass. I'm not
going to say I did a lot of deep dive. Okay,
Chattanooga and the and Eaters were gonna give us.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
But you know, come now, look, I have no dog
in the fight here.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
But like you know, cal Irvine being so close to
where we live here in southern California, like I could
go for the banner ra raising, right, because if they win,
they'll raise a banner opening night, won't they.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
You feel like you should.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
It's still a championship. Damn right, you know it's a nit.
It's still a championship.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
I think even if you lose this game, you have
a big celebratory night to say, look look what we did.
Because they were fourteen and six in conference twenty one
and thirteen overall, and now they may win the n
Let's go amazing, amazing.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
We do real sports here, sir.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Yeah, dude, dude, come on, man, this has been come on, Harmont, Wendy,
you know you know Harmon, and I know MONSI been
on this game too, so I know I know all
kinds of money.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Is on this thing.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Frostbur just keep pressing replay on the Otani walk off.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
That's what you're doing anyway, That's what you do. Right,
He's trying to fight it to play where.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Now, speaking of basketball tonight, I'll tell you I don't
know how to shake this out anymore. Jah Moran is
a terrific player, but he doesn't get it and I
don't know how long he's going to be in the
NBA for all Right, it was yesterday that he was
in hot water for the finger gun gesture that he
and Buddy Healed had going back at each other over
(19:14):
the course of the past couple of nights. Right, the
one guy that can't be seen doing a finger gun
gesture is the guy that's been suspended twice for brandishing
a gun on social media.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Right. Sports are really anti guns, and I can't blame them.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
They don't want that to be out there. The guns
are really I mean, you don't want this. Your league
doesn't want to be close to guns. So, yeah, when
you get busted for brandishing firearms on social media and
you get two NBA suspensions because you get eight games
where the NBA went light on you, and then twenty
five games because when we got to get your attention,
(19:49):
you can't be the guy doing finger guns. You know
that the league doesn't like it. You know, the NBA
doesn't like you know, the NFL doesn't like it. You
can't do it, whether you agree with it or not,
or if you feel like you're being singled out. Yeah,
remember two suspensions because you had a real gun with
you on social media. Right, So that going on, and
then today the decision came down where both Moran and
(20:12):
Buddy Healed were warned about finger guns.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Don't do it anymore.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Wow, Okay, So now the NBA doing them a solid saying, hey, okay,
you know, John Moran, this is three strikes for you
on this. But hey, it's okay. It's it during the game, fair, Okay,
you know what, just don't do it again. What does
John Morant do tonight? John Morant couldn't wait first quarter,
hits A three? Does the finger gun gesture? Was warned
today about not doing the finger gun gesture, and did
(20:39):
the finger gun gesture. This is when your dad says
you can't drive the car all weekend, and as soon
as your dad leaves the house, you get in the
car and go, what did I tell you can't do that?
You can't use the car, Nope, gonna go do it,
not gonna listen. And while this is not this is
not simply a parent kid thing, this is a the
NBA makes the rules and they said, we don't want
you to do this. We don't want to be close
(21:00):
to guns. Don't you understand we have a gun violence
problem in this country. We don't want to be close
to it. And you've had guns with you, We've we've
tried to get through to you, and Ja Morant doesn't
get it, or doesn't care to, or is is defiant
about it and says, yeah, what are you gonna do
to me? So he does the finger gun gesture and
then giving you the full Jamran experience with a thirty
(21:22):
point night and hits the game winning jumper on a
ball that bounces around the rim and goes in. They
beat the Heat one eighteen one sixteen. This is the
Ja Morant experience, right, and it kind of it's kind
of apropos that in a night we got the full
Ja Moran experience that this is. This is kind of
who he is in a nutshell. He is a terrific player.
He has been warned about what he can and can't
(21:44):
do and what you should and shouldn't do and having
a gun out. No, can't do it right. We don't
want you to do it. You cannot like it. You
cannot like it. Today John Moran's been singled out. He's
not really being singled out, but okay, but this is
the rules. And clearly he wasn't on a great path,
and the NBA tried to help him. There were so
many people after it happened the first time that went
(22:05):
on TV and did one of those messages through the television.
I'm talking to you specifically now, John Moran, get away
from the guys that are around you.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Do the right thing.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Don't give away an NBA career, don't give away the
millions of dollars you're gonna make and the lifestyle you're
gonna have. Don't give it away. People pleaded with a
guy and guess what, he did it again, and still
it was, let get your life going, Get your life going.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
The guy's twenty five now and clearly he doesn't get
it right.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
So you know what now, I simply if you ask me, honestly,
I don't know how long.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
He's gonna be in the NBA for.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
I don't know what when the NBA says, don't do it,
and you go out that night and do it again.
I mean, now you've made now you put Adam Silver
in a situation to say, Okay, now I really got
to come down hard on you because you dared me
to do it.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Why would you do that again?
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Because he either doesn't get it or doesn't care about it,
and that how much does he care about his NBA career?
I don't know how much he does. I don't know
that he's there anymore because if he did, he wouldn't
do this. And what the bottom line is, how much
longer is he really going to be in the league.
Will he be in the league by the time he's thirty?
Speaker 2 (23:07):
I don't know. Man. I hope so, I hope he
figures it out.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
But I've gone past the point of thinking he's going
to turn things around. Like I know, this is a
knucklehead thing to do. And in the end, it's okay
making finger guns going down the floor, but you know,
sports don't like it. It's a fifteen yard penalty in
the NFL when you do finger guns right again, I
keep thinking about that, Alan Lazar, dude, don't do it.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
We lost the.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
First out because of you. You know, they don't want
you to do it. You know you shouldn't do it,
but you do it anyway. So, really, are you going
to understand that this life of being in the NBA
is a privilege and it can be taken away from you,
and especially when no one's going to look at it
and say, well, they really railroaded the guy. They made
(23:48):
an example out of it. They gave you chances, they
were very lenient on you with chances to stay in
the league and do the right thing, and you've decided
to say, yeah, warn me blank that man, I'm gonna
do whatever I want.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah. Is it gonna be in the league in five years?
I don't know. I hope so. But I'm done.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
I'm done thinking and talking about him, like, hey, hey,
really get your life together, because clearly you've had a
chance to have that message get through to you and
you have it. I hope he stays in league, but
I don't think he will. I think he ought to
be out of our league at some point soon.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
First off, you said, you know, part of the league, man,
it was get these guys out of your life. Well,
when the guy looking back at you in the mirror
might be the problem. You can't you can only run
and hide so far, so many sci fi movies and
in existential crises kind of moments for those kind of
things that we could write up for him. So no,
that's not gonna help matters the other you know, again,
(24:39):
the old adage of look around the room, especially you know,
the old example was the poker table, look around and
find the sucker and if you don't see him, assume
it's you. Again for John Moran, that's where we're at
in this part of the equation. We've eliminated all sorts
of variables to go, damn it, I'm the problem. It's me,
(25:00):
So get back to our song and dance along the way.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
But it's it's just a tough process because you look
at the number of guys that do these gestures, and
the NFL had their big meetings this week and talked
about the proliferation of them across the sport. It's something
that's going to be a point of emphasis. Maybe add
the extra you know, eye in the sky guy. Not
(25:24):
only is he there to lean on when when you've
got to try to go through the rules processing, but
also a he's sitting there with the binoculars, waiting for
that extra celebration that might be missed by the officials
on the field won't be missed by the television cameras.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
That's for damn sure. Those pink envelopes will show up
without fail.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
But for the NBA, Adam Silver took the hands off approach.
All right, you know, boys will be boys here. But
you know we're we're seeing this subruder film in frame
after frame, kind of like we were trying to do
with Munsey and his bat last night. Right, Hey, look,
John More did this here and here and here, and
then he does it and because it's him and Buddy healed.
(26:06):
And then Draymond Green goes over to the official going, sir, sir,
did you.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
See what he did?
Speaker 1 (26:12):
That? It became you know, a huge deal, right, big
spotlight game, the Warriors have everybody's interest, etc. And then
leading up obviously to tonight's game against the Lakers, where
were keeping an eye on it. But you know, different
rules for different people, right, special rules for special guys,
which means you can get away with some stuff that
you might not otherwise. You know what was the Jimmy
(26:34):
Johnson was af Troy fell asleep in the meeting.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
You might nudge him, where is the guy that's on
the fringe. He's made an.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Example of right or Michael rvndor in Shirt Star here.
But conversely, this is the guy who's been in trouble
a couple of times. So you make the example of
him going the other way. Perhaps I thought he was
gonna lose the rest of his season, So showing once
again that Adam Silver saw when you get down to
(27:02):
it in terms of adjudicating things.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
But at this point he's not gonna learn. Uh.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Does it ultimately get him in trouble with the league
to the point where he's out of it.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
No, he's too talented.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Someone else will be the tough love guy to give
him a shot. But at this point, for Adam Silver,
you did nothing yesterday. What are you gonna come back with?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
All right?
Speaker 1 (27:22):
I very strenuously object to what you're doing. Oh if
you strenuously object, I have to do something about it.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
I mean, he's he's daring the NBA to do something.
He knows what he's doing. He's daring the end.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
And now Adam Silver's got to suspend him, or Adam
Silver looks bad. Adam Silver looks weak, and it was
I was okay with giving And this is what blows
my mind is that, hey, I'm okay giving you a warning.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Really, that that's a gift that Jah Moran God is
an absolute gift.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
And Nope, I'm gonna do it in the first quarter.
As soon as I had a big shot. I'm gonna, hey, Jason,
do you think he had to use my Buddy christ
thing yet or in the holster?
Speaker 1 (28:01):
I think he's still using that he's got, he's still using,
he's still waiting to use that. I want to get
the attention off the fact we fired our coach two
weeks before the playoffs started.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
He's going to fire Taylor Jenkins.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Well, he's hold on to that one too.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Really.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
I mean, if you said to me, is he's still
in the NBA by the time he's thirty, I would
say no. I would say he's not because this is
not gonna be a situation where he gets he's out
of the leave. But Adam Silver's got to suspend him
after this, like you, you're daring the guy. And if
Adam Silver doesn't wow, then you know he is absolutely
toothless and he will always roll over whenever the players
(28:40):
want him to do something. I mean, really like, this
could have been where hey, here's a suspension, but he
decided to go light because again, remember, Adam Silver doesn't
want to upset the players unless he absolutely has to.
So you know, and and and I wouldn't be surprised
if other players are calling John Moran going, dude, don't
do this. We got the guy right where he won,
and he does anything he wants for us to do,
does anything for us. We say what we want, and
(29:01):
he jumps and goes and does it. What are you doing?
We don't have David Stern, we have Adam Silver. Why
are you doing this? He's got to do it or
he loses all kinds of cachet if he doesn't suspend him.
And he dared to do it. And I don't feel
bad for John Moran anymore. Whatever happens, the guy is
gonna happen. I likegain. I hope he stays in the league.
I hope it turns around, but I no longer think
(29:22):
it will. And by the time he's thirty, he's probably
not playing.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
In the end, he's Here's a quick quote from John
moran tonight quote on the negativity surrounding him.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Quote.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
I'm kind of used to it. That was pretty much
a villain for two years. Now I don't care anymore.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Yeah, there you go. Okay, good luck, good luck. Remember
remember you're an NBA star or you were an NBA star.
Remember you could be an NBA star or be a
former nb star at the age of twenty seven. I
don't think you want that exit outbout a Fresca exit
swollen Dome. The Jason Smith Show with my best friend
Mike Carmon Time Now to find out what's trending in
the wide world of sports. From someone who bet Chattanooga
(29:58):
on the money line to win the NIT, it's Manzi Belaga.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
He's got minding.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
Yeah I did not. I didn't even know that was happening.
So I could have been making money.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
I could have been, but I failed. You could have been.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
And this final play of the NIT was it was
Christian Leytner esque, except if Laytner missed a shot like that.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
That's what the final play was.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Irvine was down by a point and they guard the
inbound because there's only two seconds left.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
They throw it all the.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Way down court and one of the Irvine players grabs
it and sees his teammate under the basket all alone,
dishes it to him, and he goes up and he misses.
He's under the basket all alone, and he misses.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
No Dixon and.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
He made a big lay up to tie the game
a few moments ago. He misses at the buzzer underneath
all alone, and Chattanooga wins, and Tara Owens is on
the floor and he's jumping around like a lunatic.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Dang, I missed it. I missed it. I'm gonna have
to look that up because that seems a little bit
heart breaking.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
We got one game.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Going on in the NBA right now, and it's the
Warriors who are holding onto their lead over the Lakers
in LA. Sixty six fifty five is the score early
in the third quarter. Brandon Pujemski, Did I say that right?
Speaker 2 (31:11):
You got it? Yeah? All right?
Speaker 4 (31:12):
He had a like crazy half court shot right before halftime.
He's the leading scorer twenty two points, seven rebounds, Ruyaschma
sixteen points for LA. But yes, they are down double
digits right now early in the third quarter. Earlier today,
Jannis Antetakoopo put on a show in Philadelphia thirty five points,
seventeen rebounds and twenty assists. The Bucks beat the seventy
(31:34):
six ers one twenty six to one thirteen. Pallo Bancaro
also had a nice performance in Washington thirty three points
and eighteen rebounds, ads sists, and the Magic outscored the
Wizards one away to ninety seven. Ja Morant, Yeah, I
don't know, guys. It's quite interesting the choices that he
is making. After receiving a warning today from that gesture
(31:55):
that he's been told to not do, he does it
again today, as you guys are talking about. Really don't
know how long he lasts in the NBA. That is
a good question. But the Grizzlies win it on his
buzzer beater against the Heat in Miami one ten to
one eight. He ended with thirty points, while Tyler Hero
had thirty five points and nine rebounds in the loss.
In baseball, Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman has been placed
(32:16):
on the injured list due to that ankle spring. You
know he slipped in the shower retroactive to March thirty.
First Aaron Judge had a three run homer in the
first inning today as the Yankees outscored the Diamondbacks nine
to seven to avoid the sweep, and the Brewer shut
out the Reds one zero. Cincinnati has been shut out
for three.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Games in a row.
Speaker 4 (32:33):
In college hoops, USC's Juji Watkins was named the AP
Women's College Basketball Player of the Year and Operate All
American Forge and I Broom did practice today. He is
expected to play on Saturday in the Final Four against Florida.
And in the NFL, the Cardinals decided to make tight
end Trey McBride the highest paid tight end in the NFL,
giving him a four year, seventy six million dollar extension
(32:55):
with an annual salary of nineteen million.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Back to you guys, thanks bunch mons See.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Mike Harsy, We're working on it. We're working on it
right now.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
Midway through the third quarter, Warriors lead the Lakers seventy
three to sixty four. We'll have more on this game
coming up next hour. Got Rick Buger stopping by in
about a half hour or so from now for all
the big NBA news, including a reaction to job Morant.
But speaking of big NBA news, how about something that
happened tonight that we have never seen before in NBA history.
(36:07):
And I get that part of this is we're making
up a stat line. It's not like, hey, yeah, twenty
twenty twenty game or the first twenty five twenty five. No,
it's here's the first forty seven, seventeen.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
And thirteen game, right.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
I get that we're doing that, but the numbers are
just absolutely silly. Tonight, Giannis became the first player in
NBA history to go thirty five with thirty five points,
seventeen rebounds, and twenty assists.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
He must have played the Knicks.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
I mean, no, no, no, come on, man, The nicksy
wouldn't have those. He would have thirty five seventeen in
about five So that's what would be No they no,
come on, man.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Easier than that.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
They played the Sixers and they swept the season series.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
On the Lakers, so I would calm down over there.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
They played the Sixers thirty five, seventeen and twenty for
the Bucks. This is their second straight game they have
shot the lights out right. They shot fifty percent from
three point range type. Remember the game the other night
they had the highest average off from the field an
NBA game in twenty five years, where they shot like
almost seventy percent from the field. I'll tell you what.
(37:16):
And this is a game where yan Has did it.
And Doc Rivers missed the second half because he wasn't
feeling good. So Darvin Ham got to coach the team
and got to see Yanis do this even despite the
fact that Damian Lillard is out. Yan has had a
meeting with the team. They talked about it going into
the game against Phoenix the other day where Yannis said, listen,
(37:37):
we have to pick things up. It's our time to
do it now. And clearly Milwaukee's team that still even
though the players have turned over since the championship, it's
still Yannis, it's still his team. And when he grabbed
the team by the throat and said hey, okay, it's
time for us to do some things, they're doing it
without Damian Lillard, who's out with the deep vein thrombosis
and who knows when he's gonna be able to come back.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
And here they.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Are two huge wins in a row. I'll be in
against two lesser teams. But still, this is Milwaukee reminding
you we can be really, really dangerous in the playoffs.
And all of a sudden, I'm looking at the standings
and I go, yeah, yeah, I know the Knicks are
gonna get the Bucks in the first round. I just
know it's gonna it's gonna be a three to six
in the first round of the playoffs, and it's gonna
(38:20):
be the Bucks are gonna somehow finish sixth, and we're
gonna have to go and beat Giannis in the first
round of the playoffs and it's not gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
It was funny because the first thing I thought of
today when the when I saw this stat line. First off,
we get into our score of Gami things like we
do with the NFL. We've never seen that score before,
put it on the board.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
Yes, was that.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Yannis must have been feeling the heat in the backlash,
because he was announced as a signer at this year's
National Sports Collectors convention, and let me read off some
of the prices to get a regular item signed by
Giannis and tennakoomb But you want to play a guessing
game and tell me what it costs?
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Is it a game?
Speaker 1 (38:56):
Warn Jockstrapt, No, no, no, this is just Hey, you
have a photo a regular item, Oh just a photo,
just at the photo, an eight by ten, or.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
A page in a book, or you know, the cover
of a program. Jason, twenty five hundred dollars. Okay, well,
now you're just going crazy. No, I'm gonna say five
hundred five to twenty five.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
Oh okay, all right, a premium item like a basketball, okay,
regular you know, hey, let's indoor outdoor or a game
or what do you think?
Speaker 2 (39:33):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Basketball five seventy five, one thousand, Just add another one hundred,
so we're up.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
We're up to up to six thirty. Okay.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
And then if you want a piece of art done,
like you've drawn a picture of Giannis oh or made
him a Marvel superhero sure, or or you have something
game used that he's thrown into the crowd that you're
not getting him to sign.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Oh, well, okay, this is where we get to your Okay,
here one thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Alright, so I see what the I see what the
Wemby kid was doing.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
All right, so I'm gonna I'm gonna say I'll say
nine fifty. Yeah, so we're at nine forty five. There
any inscription? Two hundred bucks? Okay, sure, photo op five hundred.
Uh if you want a picture. I guess he's gonna
bring his brothers to hang out there. I really don't
understand this, but I don't want to. I don't want
(40:23):
a picture of his brothers. I want a picture of him.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
I don't want I know, And like, I guess his
brothers are gonna be there too, hanging out with him.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
For the signing?
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Yeah, how much for if he signs it freaking the Sheets?
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Well, I mean the inscriptions two hundred bucks. I think
there might be a word limit. Maybe he goes per
word and you get it. You know, you gotta go
a thousand on that one, but it might be worth
it to be have the only thing signed freaking the sheets.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Can I can I show you my picture with Yannis
where he wrote freaking the sheets?
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Uh? Yeah, dude, that's not Yannis. What do you mean
he said he was honest. No, it's not him, that's
that's his brother. Sorry about that? Yeah, you got you
got y honest. So all of that to say, maybe
maybe he felt a little heat. So he's like, I'll.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
Remind him how great I am with a huge effort tonight.
And you think, do you think they went and tried
to steal the basketball away from him at the end,
like when he set the record, Gee, want's going? They
took the ball from him? He wanted the back where's
my ball? Where's my ball?
Speaker 2 (41:21):
That is one of my fars? Hey, hey, that was
a special chatline. And it's already gone.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Where's my ball? What's already back in the ball? It's
that he'd have the ball. He didn't even play.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
It's my ball.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
Now, it's my ball, the thirty five, seventeen twenty five ball.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Yeah, it's my ball. I got it. Now, where's my ball?
Speaker 4 (41:39):
God?
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Come on? What you guys have my ball? Come on?
Come on?
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Which and they all they all have a ball? Oh
you gotta figure out which one is the real one. Man.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
They're passing it around to each other.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
I'm like in point break when they're passing the parachutes
to each other and Kenna Reef doesn't know what the
real parachute is in.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Which is the real card?
Speaker 1 (42:00):
Money on Hollywood and Boulevard, Which.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Is the real one? Which is the real one? I
love it.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Exit out by Nefresco, Exit Swollen, dumb, Jason Smith, Mike Harmon.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
Coming up next, we get into the biggest
Speaker 1 (42:14):
Controversy of the NCAA tournament because a head coach spoke
about it today
