a two games to none lead in the Western Conference Finals.
It has been an absolutely huge night for SGA. Who again,

why did I pick the thunder to win? Why did
I pick the beginning of the playoffs?

I know he is going to consistently give me super
star performances, even when he has difficulty get into the
rim getting a shot off, and tonight he's doing it
from the free throw line, He's doing it from the floor.

but it is still a fifteen point lead for the Thunder.

As I get to this reality, Mike Harmon and this

But you know, you watch the Thunder play and they

Jokich and and and Murray, you're gonna have a chance.
But they win that series. They do what they're supposed
to do and they win a blowout in Game seven
at home. You watch the Thunder play and you watch
what they're doing to the to the Minnesota Tea Wolves
tonight and what they've done so far. And I look
at the teams left in the playoffs, the Wolves, the Knicks,
and the Pacers, right, and you watch all three of

them play and you can see, yes, they're all te light.
The Knicks are really good. They got holes. Pacers really good,
they got holes. I don't know that there's a team
that can give the Thunder a series, right, like I
don't know if Minnesota can give them a series. I
don't know if the Knicks or the Pacers can give
them a series in the NBA Finals. I don't know
that this is gonna wind up being a Thunder sweep

and then a Thunder sweep in the finals, because they're
just that good. The team they've assembled is in a
perfect spot. You're talking about all defensive players of the
year in the starting line at the big free agent
signing that really brings the glue to the team, like Hartenstein,
the young studs of Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren who
are on big rookie deals and yet they go for

twenty to ten every single night. Caruso off the bench,
who's still Laker fans won Alex Caruso back. Like Laker
fans think if we had Caruso the last five years,
we'd have four championships, right. Caruso is that guy? Like
the Oklahoma City Thunder have an doubly well constructed roster.
When it comes to money, they're spending youth, experience, all
the first round picks they still have at their disposal

to make this team better.

Like they are in such a sweet spot, right now.

Is there someone that can really give them a series
that's going to be a really difficult thing.

shots and go possession for possession. Minnesota's tried, and all
they've done is shoot themselves out of games, right back
to back games where you saw the third quarter where
things just went out of sorts. Okay, see plus fourteen
back to back games and you just had a sequence,

I don't know, maybe about midway through the fourth here
where you just had the reach as SGA went for
the drive McDaniels with a little bit of extra and
in the broadcast had that moment where I was able
to turn up the audio. What are they saying, because

He just said something controversial, guys, showing the mental weakness

weak Minnesota team.

And the way Gildas Alexander is playing and we talked
about it as the season wore on a lot of
what people complained about with James Harden years ago in
terms of slowing down the game. Right when you think
defensively you're starting to figure things out, he's able to

create and get himself back to the foul line. So
any momentum, any bit of advantage you started to think
you had in terms of your defensive calls and switch
outs just got rendered moot because he was back at
the line, staring at you and shooting another couple of
free throws. And for Gildas Alexander, every time you get

a stop Minnesota, well the next possession, SGA is right
back and attacking, and you're getting guys trying to move
their feet, trying to stay with and he's good at
getting his body underneath you and into you. Uh, and
just that extra bit of contact it either takes you
out of defensive position where he finds an open teammate,
or he's back at the file line or getting a

continuation call, which again I don't think Magic Johnson got
the continuation calls that SGA gets at times. But all
that to say, they've been relentless and Minnesota's had absolutely
no answer, and your guy, Julius Randall's on the side

I don't know, I don't know a team that can
really give them a run. Like if Minnesota gets a
game in this series, I think that's an accomplishment at
this point because this is two blowouts now, you know
Game one, in Game two, Minnesota is going back home.
Try to figure out how do we stop them. We can't,

you know, we can't stop them, can't. We can't slow
them down, even when it looks like we're playing well,
in the first half, things get sideways on us incredibly quickly,
and all of a sudden we're chasing a twenty point
lead in the third quarter, like they get out in
the third sometimes like the Warriors would in their heyday,
where suddenly they're losing fifty four to forty six at halftime,

and then three minutes into the third quarter it's seventy
eight to fifty. You know, it's like, how did this
happen to us? Like that's kind of what the Oklahoma
City Thunder do. They play any kind of ball they
want to. They're aggressive, they get out fast, they run
the court, they play great defense. Below It's like this
is a moment in time for them where this is
almost a perfect roster configuration with talent, youth experience, what

they're paying the future ahead of them with all the
first round picks they have, Like this is the model
France right now in the NBA.

Yeah, I mean they're set for years, right.

Shay is just getting into the the sweet spot of
his career. Chet Holmgrun's healthy and you see what he is.
He's a nightmare on both ends of the court. And

each of these games, right, you take a bad shot,
they're not they're not complacent. They're gonna keep pushing the envelope,

pushing the pace and making you work and off you
can't rest. I mean, you get no breaks whatsoever. Of

you've got to go try to cover these guys as
they're pushing the ball up the court and SGA with

The Player's Trunk was started by a bunch of different
equipment managers across the country a few years ago. I
think they were on Shark Tank, right, did they?

sell clothing that players who have transferred or graduated, uh,
left behind, and the equipment managers split the money in
some way with the players who leaves the who leave
the gear behind, and it's all great.

It's not like you're getting sweatshirs A T shirts that
are that are you know, look awful and they're ripped,
and no, you're getting really good quality and this is

thing ever. Right, I bought a pair of Syracuse pants.
I was so excited. I put Justin Lampson's pants, who
transferred like a year ago. Right, He's been on two

Syracuse to Penn State. And there's like forty things on there,

Yeah, and a pair of sweatpants that I'm staring at
right now.

I'm not gonna buy it, but I can see where

any of the Iowa stuff left from earlier from van ness,

the thing is because normal my read not to think
here that I'm just like throwing my normally retail therapy

Sure, it lets my part to save the save the
planet to buy clothes that, you know, otherwise just gonna
get stacked up and stacked up. So I go on
you know, I'll go on eBay. I'll buy a couple
of tea. Oh, I bought a Mets t shirt for
eight dollars. I'll buy the Syracuse thing for seven dot whatever.
It is, but boy man player's trunk. I got that
itchy finger man. It's like my dad when he gets
ten dollars in his pocket. What can I buy?

I gotta spend some I gotta spend some money. I
got no, h I got that. I want to click

So always have to get down to what I absolutely
want to buy and then go from there.

good for me because it makes me forget about the

Now, the big controversy with what we've seen so far,
the w NBA has centered around the relationship between Caitlin
Clark and Angel Reese on display the Big Foul last weekend,
and and I agree with a lot of the pundit
to say, we'd like this to be you know that, say, hey, listen,
we need it to be about basketball, because I told

you that from the beginning. You can't have a rivalry
about race about race, right, because that's what's happening with
with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. It's becoming about race.
This whole investigation to a fan may or may not
have said something on the sideline, which, okay, we get
all these things about condemning hate and condemning racist speech,
and Angel Reese condemns it and then reposts a post

from TikTok where someone says something, you know, it says
the I'll look at the white girl Caitlin Clark running
away from Angel Reese. Okay, great, yeah, it's working. Yeah,
make sure we can't have it. And the Angel rees
goes and posts that.

So it's like, Okay, the WNBA needs to get away
from this, right, But I don't know how. When when
it seems like it's not something that is it's conducive
to happening, right, it seems like it's still going to
can continue on. But this is a conversation we can
have strictly about the basketball court, right, about the rivalry
between the Fever and the Sky because let's be honest, right,

the WNBA is here, it matters.

They have a seat at the.

Big table, and all we've talked about is hey be
able to handle success, right, But they're here, and the
Caitlin Clark Angel Reese rivalry is something people get caught
up in the popularity.

If Caitlin Clark is through the roof, right, we know this,
not telling you anything you don't know.

But something is more special when the Fever play the
Sky right there there just is that they'll always be
linked from college basketball, from the national championship, from Angel
Rees doing the ring thing and then Caitlin like they're
gonna be linked. There's always gonna be a big deal.
But on the court, let's stay on the court because
we can. I don't know that this is the year

that that rivalry is going to be great on the court,
because my goodness, the Chicago Sky absolutely are struggling. So
much out of the gate. They lose their first game
to Indiana on Saturday ninety three, fifty eight right National TV.
Three and a half million people watch. More people are
watching NBA games over the course of the last week.

Like that's how big it is, right, we say, see
it at the table. So Indiana just absolutely drubbed Chicago. Right,
Chicago has no Kennedy Carter. You know they wanted to
try to fix the locker room. They fight Treuth what
treesa weatherspoon and they lose by thirty, right, and you
heard them say this is not going to define our season.
They play the Liberty and Liberty are really good, obviously
defending champs, and they're losing by twenty two and a

half time, and they lose by twenty five tonight. They
have now lost their first two games by over thirty
and twenty five, and they are struggling so much. I mean,
all you have to do is watch the highlight tonight
of angel Reaess and you think I'm lying, I'm not.
On one sequence five offensive rebounds and then she gets
blocked twice and misses two shots before she passes out.

Right for all this last year, oh, she offensive rebounds
all her own shots. No she doesn't, No, she doesn't,
and she doesn't but no, but I'm telling you this
absolutely happened tonight. You watch on one sequence, she gets
five offensive rebounds, and she goes up and gets blocked twice,
and she misses two short shots twice when she's playing
one on three. Hey, when you get that rebound, you
miss a shot, turn around, get it back out right.

You got three players around you understand. But instead five
offensive rebounds on one play, four misses and finaland I'm
passing it out. That play stands for the Chicago Sky
and really Angel reas you know, so far, for this
part of the season, Chicago did not make changes that
made themselves a lot better this year, you know, you know,

bringing in Courtney van der Slut.

On some of their moves, but wow, you got to
be able to score the name and that's whye. But

away and say, listen, we're gonna put another game on
Because as much as people want to see the Fever

NFL is doing the same thing. So what am I
talking about? But go back to the sky. I mean, offensively,
they were awful. Thirty three points from their starters, forty
one off the bench, Van lift came in, gave them
fifteen minutes.

in this case, yeah, we're not getting a rivalry on
the court because it doesn't exist. And Angel recent spots

it looks a little smoother, but the results aren't there.

And this team is bad. Even with all the changes
they tried to make, coaching changes you as you alluded to,
right now, they're just getting buried and falling further and
further behind.

quarter that's the big difference maker here, where OKC outscored
Minnesota thirty five to twenty one, and it just was
too much for Minnesota to try and come back from,
even though they did outscore them in the fourth quarter.
Shae Gilges Alexander was awarded the MVP Trophy before the
game and then played like an MVP. Ended with thirty
eight points. He was twelve of twenty one from the field,

only took two threes, and was one of two thirteen
to fifteen from the free throw line. Also had eight assists,
while Jalen Williams helped out with twenty six points. Chet
Holmgren had twenty two.

But they had a billboard up in Philadelphia like eight

line like two point fifty two, there's some other thing
that gets approved in the process.

Like what are they trying to sneak in?

all of this is that, yes, is it. It's a
little bit overrated for a play that, yes, two years ago,
almost unstoppable, a little bit less unstopped bull this year.
Just ask the Bills and Josh Allen, who ran it
really well, what happened? You need that first down against
the Chiefs. I mean, I know the official came from
the chief sideline to overrule it, but I mean it's
not absolutely unstoppable. It's a play that needs fourth and

one or less to to to execute. I get you're
mad about it, but you know, as you just said,
Philadelphi's already got custom gear on it. There were uh
billboards up about it right after the decision came down.
They get to keep it. Jeffrey Lourie said in the
in the meeting yesterday with the owners, it's it's a
I mean, you had a bad analogy, but he said,
it's it's either we get this band because it's too good,

or we get to continue to run a play that
we invented. That that that is changing the NFL. What
the NFL and what teams that don't that that don't
want the tush push don't realize and they need to,
is that all winning teams have that little special something
about them that galvanizes them.

all teams have their thing. The NFL leave the Toush
push alone, because you are galvanizing the Eagles into making

this their identity and you need anything spurs them on. Hey,
they hate us, they hate the Toush Push. They're rallying
around this and it's making them stronger. All good teams
have that thing. The NFL just let it go, Just
let it go, let them run it, stop it on
the field, whatever happens that let it go. Man, it's
not that big a play. It's not like on third
and three they can convert all the time.

But you are.

You are empowering the Eagles, You're empowering the fan base,
everything around the team. You're making it crackle and this
spurs them on, and it's a thing. That they have,
that the Eagles have that they're able to use to
their benefit, and the NFL needs to realize that this
is what's helping the Eagles along and helping them with
their excellence. Every little bit you can use is an addition.

Well, that's just it, right. You got to find find
your wins, find your your motivation. Whatever it might be
a headline someone talking bad about you, just you didn't
like the look someone gave you as you walk down
the street. In this case, they lean into this and
now their merchandise.

I know he is going to consistently give me super
star performances, even when he has difficulty get into the

from the free throw line, He's doing it from the floor.

but it is still a fifteen point lead for the Thunder.

As I get to this reality, Mike Harmon and this
is what okay, again, not great today after last night.

But you know, you watch the Thunder play and they
have been the one big seed team so far to

Jokich and and and Murray, you're gonna have a chance.
But they win that series. They do what they're supposed
to do and they win a blowout in Game seven
at home. You watch the Thunder play and you watch

tonight and what they've done so far. And I look
at the teams left in the playoffs, the Wolves, the Knicks,
and the Pacers, right, and you watch all three of

them play and you can see, yes, they're all te light.
The Knicks are really good. They got holes. Pacers really good,
they got holes. I don't know that there's a team
that can give the Thunder a series, right, like I
don't know if Minnesota can give them a series. I
don't know if the Knicks or the Pacers can give
them a series in the NBA Finals. I don't know
that this is gonna wind up being a Thunder sweep

and then a Thunder sweep in the finals, because they're
just that good. The team they've assembled is in a
perfect spot. You're talking about all defensive players of the
year in the starting line at the big free agent
signing that really brings the glue to the team, like Hartenstein,
the young studs of Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren who
are on big rookie deals and yet they go for
(02:46):
twenty to ten every single night. Caruso off the bench,
who's still Laker fans won Alex Caruso back. Like Laker
fans think if we had Caruso the last five years,
we'd have four championships, right. Caruso is that guy? Like
the Oklahoma City Thunder have an doubly well constructed roster.
When it comes to money, they're spending youth, experience, all
the first round picks they still have at their disposal

to make this team better.

Like they are in such a sweet spot, right now.
I don't know. This year, I don't know.

Is there someone that can really give them a series
that's going to be a really difficult thing.

Spurtability, Can you run with them? Can you make the
shots and go possession for possession. Minnesota's tried, and all
they've done is shoot themselves out of games, right back
to back games where you saw the third quarter where
things just went out of sorts. Okay, see plus fourteen
back to back games and you just had a sequence,

I don't know, maybe about midway through the fourth here
where you just had the reach as SGA went for
the drive McDaniels with a little bit of extra and
in the broadcast had that moment where I was able
to turn up the audio. What are they saying, because
you're eating the clothes captioning, it's like hit the rewind.
He just said something controversial, guys, showing the mental weakness

and then pause goes, but this is not a mentally
weak Minnesota team.

It's like you just said it.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
You put it out there that he had the moment,
and that's what the constant pressure from OKC will do.
And the way Gildas Alexander is playing and we talked
about it as the season wore on a lot of
what people complained about with James Harden years ago in
terms of slowing down the game. Right when you think
defensively you're starting to figure things out, he's able to
(04:30):
create and get himself back to the foul line. So
any momentum, any bit of advantage you started to think
you had in terms of your defensive calls and switch
outs just got rendered moot because he was back at
the line, staring at you and shooting another couple of
free throws. And for Gildas Alexander, every time you get
(04:52):
a stop Minnesota, well the next possession, SGA is right
back and attacking, and you're getting guys trying to move
their feet, trying to stay with and he's good at
getting his body underneath you and into you. Uh, and
just that extra bit of contact it either takes you
out of defensive position where he finds an open teammate,
or he's back at the file line or getting a

continuation call, which again I don't think Magic Johnson got
the continuation calls that SGA gets at times. But all
that to say, they've been relentless and Minnesota's had absolutely
no answer, and your guy, Julius Randall's on the side
of a milk carton.

the Knicks loss.

the w NBA has centered around the relationship between Caitlin

and and I agree with a lot of the pundit
to say, we'd like this to be you know that, say, hey, listen,
we need it to be about basketball, because I told

you that from the beginning. You can't have a rivalry
about race about race, right, because that's what's happening with
with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. It's becoming about race.
This whole investigation to a fan may or may not
have said something on the sideline, which, okay, we get
all these things about condemning hate and condemning racist speech,
and Angel Reese condemns it and then reposts a post

from TikTok where someone says something, you know, it says
the I'll look at the white girl Caitlin Clark running
away from Angel Reese. Okay, great, yeah, it's working. Yeah,
make sure we can't have it. And the Angel rees
goes and posts that.

So it's like, Okay, the WNBA needs to get away
from this, right, But I don't know how. When when
it seems like it's not something that is it's conducive
to happening, right, it seems like it's still going to

between the Fever and the Sky because let's be honest, right,

the WNBA is here, it matters.

it at the table. So Indiana just absolutely drubbed Chicago. Right,

heard them say this is not going to define our season.
They play the Liberty and Liberty are really good, obviously
defending champs, and they're losing by twenty two and a

half time, and they lose by twenty five tonight. They
have now lost their first two games by over thirty
and twenty five, and they are struggling so much. I mean,
all you have to do is watch the highlight tonight
of angel Reaess and you think I'm lying, I'm not.
On one sequence five offensive rebounds and then she gets
blocked twice and misses two shots before she passes out.

Right for all this last year, oh, she offensive rebounds
all her own shots. No she doesn't, No, she doesn't,
and she doesn't but no, but I'm telling you this
absolutely happened tonight. You watch on one sequence, she gets
five offensive rebounds, and she goes up and gets blocked twice,
and she misses two short shots twice when she's playing
one on three. Hey, when you get that rebound, you

you should put a stop sign there, and then in
line like two point fifty two, there's some other thing
that gets approved in the process.

Like what are they trying to sneak in?

What's the thing that's gonna kill us all that's getting
sneaked into the bill?

Because you bring up, you bring up the point with
all of this is that, yes, is it. It's a
little bit overrated for a play that, yes, two years ago,
almost unstoppable, a little bit less unstopped bull this year.
Just ask the Bills and Josh Allen, who ran it
really well, what happened? You need that first down against
the Chiefs. I mean, I know the official came from
the chief sideline to overrule it, but I mean it's
not absolutely unstoppable. It's a play that needs fourth and

one or less to to to execute. I get you're
mad about it, but you know, as you just said,
Philadelphi's already got custom gear on it. There were uh

They get to keep it. Jeffrey Lourie said in the

all teams have their thing. The NFL leave the Toush
push alone, because you are galvanizing the Eagles into making

this their identity and you need anything spurs them on. Hey,
they hate us, they hate the Toush Push. They're rallying
around this and it's making them stronger. All good teams
have that thing. The NFL just let it go, Just
let it go, let them run it, stop it on
the field, whatever happens that let it go. Man, it's
not that big a play. It's not like on third
and three they can convert all the time.

But you are.

You are empowering the Eagles, You're empowering the fan base,
everything around the team. You're making it crackle and this
spurs them on, and it's a thing. That they have,
that the Eagles have that they're able to use to
their benefit, and the NFL needs to realize that this
is what's helping the Eagles along and helping them with
their excellence. Every little bit you can use is an addition.

Well, that's just it, right. You got to find find
your wins, find your your motivation. Whatever it might be
a headline someone talking bad about you, just you didn't
like the look someone gave you as you walk down
the street. In this case, they lean into this and
now their merchandise.

Maybe maybe the rest of the league says, hey, we
want our cut. But all of that to say, are

lot of sexiness in most run plays. So should we

just do all of it right, half back dive for
