So much going on in the sporting universe, and I
was so excited that I looked at the clock said, Wow,
we had a really great discussion that went long. Where's
my teas for this? Will an event from yesterday cost

East Here Fantasy Play Fantasy Preview. We'll do this over
the next eight weeks and dive in and out the

I traversing the world of fantasy in reality, rankings and

all that fun stuff as the season gets underway, but
certainly now starting to look at the off season and
where we find a little bit of promitive value. And
the teas that I had worked up was congratulations Josh
Allen and the great Hayley Steinfeld, seen most recently in Sinners.
I cannot endorse that Coogler Michael B. Jordan film enough.

I went to see it twice in the theater.

Oh okay, and might actually go back.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
For our third before it's done. It's a horror movie
with a lot of layers to it.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Okay, so there you go.

She's also part of the MCU, so for those that
want to over that you can do that as well.
But Josh Allen last year QB two DAN, he had
two games under ten points, only two others under twenty.
So you're talking about massive production. Three point two points
better than Burrow and Baker, and that's including sitting out

Week eighteen.

Well, i'll tell you, and you look at the rankings.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
In most places, Josh Allen is still Numero uno, and
I think, Mike, it's got to be because of what's
happened with the Buffalo Bills in their offseason. No true
number one added as a wide receiver, and you have
James Cook who's holding out for a contract, and you're
looking at it and you're saying, Okay, well, if Josh

Allen's gonna need to run the ball more because James
Cook's got whatever going on, we're talking. We're talking early
June here, So I get it, and a lot can change.
We know when training camp comes probably going to be
settled out, and I expect James Cook to be there.
But for the sake of the conversation right now, sure
looks like Josh Allen maybe needed some more at the
running game wide receiver position. They got more depth, Mike,

But I don't know, if there's anybody that's gonna top
what Khalil Shakir did last year, maybe there's an emergence
from josh Will Palmer who's now in Buffalo, or Keon
Coleman takes that next second step. But not a lot
has changed around Buffalo to think that Josh Allen would
have any sort of dip, except that he's now got
a ring on his left fingers.

And we're joking here about that, but.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
That's the only thing that seemingly changed this offseason for
Buffalo when it comes to Josh Allen and his fantasy outlook.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
The version of the Madden Curse to fantasy is kind
of what we're looking at here. Twenty eight and six
touchdown to interceptions a year ago. Obviously, the rushing efforts
over one hundred attempts all but his rookie year last year,
twelve touchdowns back to back years in double digits there,
and to your point, just going through and because I'm
(04:19):
a nerd, I went full on. Khalil Shakira last year
was thirty seventh. He had five games with more than
fifteen points in PPR leagues, eleven double digits. That means
an awful lot of ten to eleven point performances along
the way you have. Keon Coleman was seventy first a
year ago, so wishing hoping that in year two he
(04:41):
takes a huge step forward. You mentioned Josh Palmer. He
was a guy that loved watching him with the Chargers.
He ranked number seventy four a year ago. Perhaps a
bigger role here can live in the slot. But the
guy that has been a disappointment for Bill's fans and
certainly for fantasy owners, Dealton Kincaid thirtieth last year, missing
four games. He did have three double digit games on
(05:02):
the year, averaging about eight points per game. But a
guy that so much was expected of to become that
safety valve for Josh Allen. As you roll it through,
I loved going through and finding all the depth charts,
and you got Ty Johnson a little bit of Ray
Davis last year. Fun as a rookie. Yeah, I don't
know that I read too much into the cook Obviously,
(05:24):
he wants to get paid like all those other guys
did because you see the huge numbers. So it's like, hey,
if you pay me really well, even better or something
like that. But all of that to say, it's like
once you hit veteran status, even if you are a
young veteran, probably not showing up pro tas either. If
I've got a little bit of leverage, and all it
(05:46):
does is say, Okay, we'll get you into camp, take
your days off, go on your last vacation. We'll see
you there. But trying to get that massive payday, I
don't know that you've quite earned the twelve fifteen and
everything that got a year ago.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Maybe not.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
But Mike, we know where the Bills are in this situation,
and they know that the clock is ticking true, and
so the urgency to get something done, which made me
in an overpay, I think is in play.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
And I think that you're right. James Cook's going to
hold out.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
And then when training camp comes around, maybe they'll do
the hold in sit in, But at some point he's
going to be on the field because Buffalo needs him.
And to your point of how they didn't address that
position necessarily in the offseason, they're going to.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Need James Cook. The Buffalo is the only team in
the NFL.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
I think Florio had this a week or two ago
that would be favored in every single game this season.
So if you do your hypothetical alliance. Maybe it was
espn 's one of the two. But every single game
they're going to be favored the Chiefs and Ravens. I
think we're sixteen and one, but that's partly because they
have to go to Buffalo for their games where they
will be underdogs, but that'd be the only game they'll

be an underdog.

But that's what you've got with the Bills. So you
talk about high expectations. It's the last season of high
Mark Stadium, not that that means anything for fantasy wise,
but this team, this team needs to go to a
super Bowl. They need to go and win a super Bowl,
and this season is the prime opportunity. So I expect
James Cook to be there. I expect the wide receivers
(07:19):
to do what they did. You read off you know,
Khalil Shakir's stats, the Dalton Kincaid part Mica. That I
have a quick question about is how much is that
Joe Brady? Because he took over full time as the
offensive coordinator last season, So how much is it Joe Brady?
And maybe the tight end maybe not being as important
as it was previously, so it's probably why you're seeing
(07:39):
him as low as you are in certain rankings. I
just I'd be tentative after I was really high at
Dalton Kinkaid last year year.

As we look at it coming into this and where
we sit right now, and this is something I contribute
to the fun and exciting world of fantasy pros. Kincaid
coming in at number thirteen, behind Dallas Goddard and just
ahead of Colston Loveland Bears and Tyler Warren of your
Indianapolis Colts. So there you go.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Yeah, I'd rather roll the dice on the rookie right.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Well, I think I would do right even though there's
a lot of mouths to feed in Chicago, but in
Indianapolis you've got a couple of players. I'm gonna love
Josh Downs, Pittman went healthy, all of those fun things,
Danny Dimes or Anthony Richardson and are they getting him
the ball a ton, Maybe maybe you fix Dandy Dimes.
(08:30):
We'll see what happens as we flow through there, but
certainly you've now made One of my notes for the
offseason is we'll be doing a dollar money line and
letting it ride on the bills every week.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
I'll say this, Mike, what's funny and because as we
kind of look at this whole division, Buffalo has the
worst running back room, Like what you would you would
look at what they've got. New England upgraded with Trevion
Henderson there now uh, with Romandre Stevenson. The Jets, we
(09:04):
don't know what they're gonna be. But I love Brice
Hall and Brayleen Allen. I'm curious to see how that
plays out in New York now with Justin Fields us
as their quarterback. But the question is, because you've got
Lions personnel coming over to New York, do they do
the same thing where hey, guess what little thunder and
Lightning or whatever whatever Montgomery and Gibbs are called. I
(09:24):
already forget perfet knows what he's what I'm talking about?
Speaker 4 (09:28):
What is it? Something in knuckles?
Speaker 2 (09:29):
What is it Sonic and Knuckles sono game here?

Okay, So but the Jets, like if you wanted to
use Brailen Allen as like you're battering Ram if you will,
like you could do that, like he's young enough, he's
physical enough, and then you can use Brice halland all
the other situations that you want to almost in a
Gibbs sort of role. So it's curious to see like
we you know, talk about Buffalo, but they may have
the worst running back situation, especially obviously with James Cook
(09:54):
being out right now than anybody in that AFC East,
because I think the Patriots got depth and I love
a cham I think he's gonna be the only thing
that Dolphins have this year.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
I mean, you know, well, that's one of the big
there's two huge questions in the division, right, dealing with
two wide receivers. We know about Stefan Diggs. I'm on
a boat and two cy I think is how you
pronounce it right. I'm trying to show my get my
street cred and whatever.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Was going on on the on the boat, not that
you saw anybody in ingesting right, and a lot of
discussion whatever as to whether the Patriots no absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Look, it might have just been pinch Himalay and sugar
Himalayan salt, I'm sorry, or some kind of sugar and
confection that you put on top of a cupcake. Again
without full knowledge of what anybody took and tests to
prove it. It's a lot of in theory kind of discussion.
But Scott Zolak went on air saying, hey, they behind
(10:56):
the scenes Patriots and Mike Vrabel, and you saw his
comments like, look, we need to be good decision makers.
We need to be really good, like you must said
at nine times. If it was a drinking game, you
would have been under the table from a thirty five
second sound bite. The way he went through it and
coming back off a huge injury last year forty seven,
(11:17):
ninety six and three before getting hurt, he had four
games with eighteen or more points, but he didn't play
after week eight with the ACL right for Houston in
his one year there. So you've got questions there, and
you've got questions of is Tyreek Hill in the marketplace
potentially as a post June first trade and a lot
(11:37):
of dancing around in the press and cleaning up and
dotting eyes and crossing t's or whatever to make that
as pretty as it can be internally of Hey, I
like it here, I love it here. I'm looking forward
to working with coach McDaniel, which might be window dressing
for all right. He's good, he understands where we're at
(11:58):
and all this come get him. And then you got
the John new Smith trade rumor, which makes no sense whatsoever.
To Pittsburgh. You've got friar Mouth. I mean, obviously you'd
love another weapon, but he's an eighty eight reception guy
a year ago. Yeah, fourth and Fantasy had his big
games and has finally had his breakthrough. Was a pro
bowler and the true safety valve. You know, we might
(12:19):
overuse her. I may overuse that term, but for two
tongue of Bai Loo, who the whole thing is predicated on, Hey,
get the ball out early. I don't know how you
could give that guy up.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
I agree with you because he was Fantasy wise money
for so many I think there was a game too
where like he didn't have a catch in the first
three quarters whatever, and then they end up playing in
overtime and he ends it with ten catches and one
hundred yards.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
I'm just completely going off the top of my head
for the specific game.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
But the point remains he was so valuable to the
Dolphins last year. And when you look at the Tyreek
Hill conversation and something we addressed in the I Want
Your Flex podcast, when we did our mock draft, no
one wanted to Tyreek Hill. No one did in our
top sixty. I took one for the team just because
he fell so far. But I don't think that that's
(13:08):
a great situation in Miami. If they get rid of
John hu Smith, even more reason to draft himon a
Chan because I just don't think it's gonna work. And
it makes me then wonder, all right, is this team tanking?
Like are they tanking to try to get one of
the young quarterbacks because they don't want to say that
they don't believe in Tua.

But this just doesn't seem like it's gonna work in Miami.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
And so for the last couple of seasons, we think
that it's been fantasy jackpot at least Wonderland with Waddell
and Tyreek obviously, and Hn Moster was great and the
emergence of John hus Smith and now I'm just starting
to wonder, especially if these trade conversations are what they
are with the Dolphins. But you know, if I'm Mike
Vrabel in New England, I would.

Say goodbye to Stefan Diggs.

They've changed every like, they've changed so much on both
sides of the ball, And if we know anything about them,
they're going to run the ball and be physical and
try to protect Drake May. It's why it's after Will Campbell.
That's why I like their running back room so much.
And I even go back to just last year when
they gave Romandra Stevenson that contract, when it didn't make
sense that they were going anywhere. But they like Romondra Stevenson.

They really liked Drevion Anderson. He can be a game breaker.
He can play all three downs if they wanted to
use them. I don't think they're going too early, but
it's kind of why I liked. I like New England's
running back room even better than what I said with Buffalo.

Twenty years ago today, I left this state of Wisconsin
to move out to California to continue to pursue my
broadcasting dreams.

I did.

I left at noon on January excuse me, on June first,
two thousand and five, and made my way took me
a couple of days.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
In between.

I stopped at the Field of Dreams in Iowa, saw
the Rockies and Reds play after a tornado hit Denver.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Saw snow and sun and desert all in the same day.
Speaker 5 (17:35):
But it was twenty years ago today. I moved from
Wisconsin to California.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
So did the long drive.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Yep, the longest stretch.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
I was just west of Denver and then drove that
all the way down to Rancho Cucamonga. So that took
pretty much the whole entire day, that chunk of the drive.
But that was a big part of it. As I said,
I stopped at Field of Dreams, had to see that,
and I and went to a Rockies game and whatnot.
But yeah, so it's kind of come full circle. Happy
(18:06):
to be here at Aaron Hills. My niece graduated high
school yesterday. That's what I'm in town for celebrating. But yep,
twenty years ago today, I left home to pursue my dreams.

I have like a million songs that we should just
add to a playlist and didn't celebration of Dan Bayer
in his twenty years. A long long road literally and
figuratively to get to this point because I know I
was back home in Chicago a couple of weeks ago,
and it just punches you in the face, doesn't it.

Yes, Absolutely, soon.

As you get off that plane, it's like, yeah.

I'm home, yep, yep, here it is.

I've got a couple of friends that feel it's like
a disturbance in the force when I come home and
I'll get a text minutes after I had land he's like,
this is creepy.

You know, it's it's funny, and like you've moved around,
You've lived in a bunch of different spots throughout the country.
I've only lived outside of Wisconsin, lived in California. But
you know Chris Profeta, technical producers from Toledo, and I'm
sure he feels the same way. And there is this
point where you kind of can't wait to leave when

you're at that point. But then, as you say, when
you get off the plane or you get back into
the area, it all hits you in the face. And
I think anybody that's relocated, I think can understand, especially
as your life changes. I'm married now, I have a
four year old boy, so your perspective changes as well.
But a lot of times people are like, oh, I
can't wait to leave, you know, see you later, hometown
(19:31):
blah blah blah, see later, home state. And then over
time you gain perspective and you appreciate it. And I
think I don't think that story is is that foreign
to many. I think people can that have moved away
can feel the same way.

Yeah, you either come back and you have the appreciation,
and then it becomes the All right, I visited, this
was fun. I'm going home. Yes, especially if you go back, say,
I don't know for a holiday season in the Midwest. Sure,
I love you. It's good to see you. Why am
I not at the beach?

Yeah, I can play all tomorrow in California. Why am
I shoveling means those things Florida? Yeah, other places as well.

Other places where you can do those kind of things.

an awful lot of ten to eleven point performances along
the way you have. Keon Coleman was seventy first a
year ago, so wishing hoping that in year two he
(04:41):
takes a huge step forward. You mentioned Josh Palmer. He
was a guy that loved watching him with the Chargers.
He ranked number seventy four a year ago. Perhaps a
bigger role here can live in the slot. But the
guy that has been a disappointment for Bill's fans and
certainly for fantasy owners, Dealton Kincaid thirtieth last year, missing
four games. He did have three double digit games on
(05:02):
the year, averaging about eight points per game. But a
guy that so much was expected of to become that
safety valve for Josh Allen. As you roll it through,
I loved going through and finding all the depth charts,
and you got Ty Johnson a little bit of Ray
Davis last year. Fun as a rookie. Yeah, I don't
know that I read too much into the cook Obviously,
(05:24):
he wants to get paid like all those other guys
did because you see the huge numbers. So it's like, hey,
if you pay me really well, even better or something
like that. But all of that to say, it's like
once you hit veteran status, even if you are a
young veteran, probably not showing up pro tas either. If
I've got a little bit of leverage, and all it
(05:46):
does is say, Okay, we'll get you into camp, take
your days off, go on your last vacation. We'll see
you there. But trying to get that massive payday, I
don't know that you've quite earned the twelve fifteen and
everything that got a year ago.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Maybe not.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
But Mike, we know where the Bills are in this situation,
and they know that the clock is ticking true, and
so the urgency to get something done, which made me
in an overpay, I think is in play.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
And I think that you're right. James Cook's going to
hold out.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
And then when training camp comes around, maybe they'll do
the hold in sit in, But at some point he's
going to be on the field because Buffalo needs him.
And to your point of how they didn't address that
position necessarily in the offseason, they're going to.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Need James Cook. The Buffalo is the only team in
the NFL.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
I think Florio had this a week or two ago
that would be favored in every single game this season.
So if you do your hypothetical alliance. Maybe it was
espn 's one of the two. But every single game
they're going to be favored the Chiefs and Ravens. I
think we're sixteen and one, but that's partly because they
have to go to Buffalo for their games where they
will be underdogs, but that'd be the only game they'll
(06:55):
be an underdog.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Four.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
But that's what you've got with the Bills. So you
talk about high expectations. It's the last season of high
Mark Stadium, not that that means anything for fantasy wise,
but this team, this team needs to go to a
super Bowl. They need to go and win a super Bowl,
and this season is the prime opportunity. So I expect
James Cook to be there. I expect the wide receivers
(07:19):
to do what they did. You read off you know,
Khalil Shakir's stats, the Dalton Kincaid part Mica. That I
have a quick question about is how much is that
Joe Brady? Because he took over full time as the
offensive coordinator last season, So how much is it Joe Brady?
And maybe the tight end maybe not being as important
as it was previously, so it's probably why you're seeing
(07:39):
him as low as you are in certain rankings. I
just I'd be tentative after I was really high at
Dalton Kinkaid last year year.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
As we look at it coming into this and where
we sit right now, and this is something I contribute
to the fun and exciting world of fantasy pros. Kincaid
coming in at number thirteen, behind Dallas Goddard and just
ahead of Colston Loveland Bears and Tyler Warren of your
Indianapolis Colts. So there you go.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Yeah, I'd rather roll the dice on the rookie right.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Well, I think I would do right even though there's
a lot of mouths to feed in Chicago, but in
Indianapolis you've got a couple of players. I'm gonna love
Josh Downs, Pittman went healthy, all of those fun things,
Danny Dimes or Anthony Richardson and are they getting him
the ball a ton, Maybe maybe you fix Dandy Dimes.
(08:30):
We'll see what happens as we flow through there, but
certainly you've now made One of my notes for the
offseason is we'll be doing a dollar money line and
letting it ride on the bills every week.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
I'll say this, Mike, what's funny and because as we
kind of look at this whole division, Buffalo has the
worst running back room, Like what you would you would
look at what they've got. New England upgraded with Trevion
Henderson there now uh, with Romandre Stevenson. The Jets, we

don't know what they're gonna be. But I love Brice
Hall and Brayleen Allen. I'm curious to see how that
plays out in New York now with Justin Fields us
as their quarterback. But the question is, because you've got
Lions personnel coming over to New York, do they do
the same thing where hey, guess what little thunder and
Lightning or whatever whatever Montgomery and Gibbs are called. I

already forget perfet knows what he's what I'm talking about?

What is it? Something in knuckles?

Okay, So but the Jets, like if you wanted to
use Brailen Allen as like you're battering Ram if you will,
like you could do that, like he's young enough, he's
physical enough, and then you can use Brice halland all
the other situations that you want to almost in a
Gibbs sort of role. So it's curious to see like
we you know, talk about Buffalo, but they may have
the worst running back situation, especially obviously with James Cook
(09:54):
being out right now than anybody in that AFC East,
because I think the Patriots got depth and I love
a cham I think he's gonna be the only thing
that Dolphins have this year.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
I mean, you know, well, that's one of the big
there's two huge questions in the division, right, dealing with
two wide receivers. We know about Stefan Diggs. I'm on
a boat and two cy I think is how you
pronounce it right. I'm trying to show my get my
street cred and whatever.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Was going on on the on the boat, not that
you saw anybody in ingesting right, and a lot of
discussion whatever as to whether the Patriots no absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Look, it might have just been pinch Himalay and sugar
Himalayan salt, I'm sorry, or some kind of sugar and
confection that you put on top of a cupcake. Again
without full knowledge of what anybody took and tests to
prove it. It's a lot of in theory kind of discussion.
But Scott Zolak went on air saying, hey, they behind

the scenes Patriots and Mike Vrabel, and you saw his
comments like, look, we need to be good decision makers.
We need to be really good, like you must said
at nine times. If it was a drinking game, you
would have been under the table from a thirty five
second sound bite. The way he went through it and
coming back off a huge injury last year forty seven,

ninety six and three before getting hurt, he had four
games with eighteen or more points, but he didn't play
after week eight with the ACL right for Houston in
his one year there. So you've got questions there, and
you've got questions of is Tyreek Hill in the marketplace

of dancing around in the press and cleaning up and
dotting eyes and crossing t's or whatever to make that
as pretty as it can be internally of Hey, I
like it here, I love it here. I'm looking forward
to working with coach McDaniel, which might be window dressing
for all right. He's good, he understands where we're at

and all this come get him. And then you got
the John new Smith trade rumor, which makes no sense whatsoever.
To Pittsburgh. You've got friar Mouth. I mean, obviously you'd
love another weapon, but he's an eighty eight reception guy
a year ago. Yeah, fourth and Fantasy had his big
games and has finally had his breakthrough. Was a pro
bowler and the true safety valve. You know, we might
(12:19):
overuse her. I may overuse that term, but for two
tongue of Bai Loo, who the whole thing is predicated on, Hey,
get the ball out early. I don't know how you
could give that guy up.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
I agree with you because he was Fantasy wise money
for so many I think there was a game too
where like he didn't have a catch in the first
three quarters whatever, and then they end up playing in
overtime and he ends it with ten catches and one
hundred yards.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
I'm just completely going off the top of my head
for the specific game.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
But the point remains he was so valuable to the
Dolphins last year. And when you look at the Tyreek
Hill conversation and something we addressed in the I Want
Your Flex podcast, when we did our mock draft, no
one wanted to Tyreek Hill. No one did in our
top sixty. I took one for the team just because
he fell so far. But I don't think that that's
(13:08):
a great situation in Miami. If they get rid of
John hu Smith, even more reason to draft himon a
Chan because I just don't think it's gonna work. And
it makes me then wonder, all right, is this team tanking?
Like are they tanking to try to get one of
the young quarterbacks because they don't want to say that
they don't believe in Tua.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
But this just doesn't seem like it's gonna work in Miami.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
And so for the last couple of seasons, we think
that it's been fantasy jackpot at least Wonderland with Waddell
and Tyreek obviously, and Hn Moster was great and the
emergence of John hus Smith and now I'm just starting
to wonder, especially if these trade conversations are what they
are with the Dolphins. But you know, if I'm Mike
Vrabel in New England, I would.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
Say goodbye to Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
They've changed every like, they've changed so much on both
sides of the ball, And if we know anything about them,
they're going to run the ball and be physical and
try to protect Drake May. It's why it's after Will Campbell.
That's why I like their running back room so much.
And I even go back to just last year when
they gave Romandra Stevenson that contract, when it didn't make
sense that they were going anywhere. But they like Romondra Stevenson.

They really liked Drevion Anderson. He can be a game breaker.
He can play all three downs if they wanted to
use them. I don't think they're going too early, but
it's kind of why I liked. I like New England's
running back room even better than what I said with Buffalo.

Twenty years ago today, I left this state of Wisconsin
to move out to California to continue to pursue my
broadcasting dreams.

I did.

I left at noon on January excuse me, on June first,
two thousand and five, and made my way took me
a couple of days.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
In between.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
I stopped at the Field of Dreams in Iowa, saw
the Rockies and Reds play after a tornado hit Denver.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Saw snow and sun and desert all in the same day.
Speaker 5 (17:35):
But it was twenty years ago today. I moved from
Wisconsin to California.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
So did the long drive.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Yep, the longest stretch.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
I was just west of Denver and then drove that
all the way down to Rancho Cucamonga. So that took
pretty much the whole entire day, that chunk of the drive.
But that was a big part of it. As I said,
I stopped at Field of Dreams, had to see that,
and I and went to a Rockies game and whatnot.
But yeah, so it's kind of come full circle. Happy
(18:06):
to be here at Aaron Hills. My niece graduated high
school yesterday. That's what I'm in town for celebrating. But yep,
twenty years ago today, I left home to pursue my dreams.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
I have like a million songs that we should just
add to a playlist and didn't celebration of Dan Bayer
in his twenty years. A long long road literally and
figuratively to get to this point because I know I
was back home in Chicago a couple of weeks ago,
and it just punches you in the face, doesn't it.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Yes, Absolutely, soon.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
As you get off that plane, it's like, yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
I'm home, yep, yep, here it is.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
I've got a couple of friends that feel it's like
a disturbance in the force when I come home and
I'll get a text minutes after I had land he's like,
this is creepy.
Speaker 5 (18:49):
You know, it's it's funny, and like you've moved around,
You've lived in a bunch of different spots throughout the country.
I've only lived outside of Wisconsin, lived in California. But
you know Chris Profeta, technical producers from Toledo, and I'm
sure he feels the same way. And there is this
point where you kind of can't wait to leave when
(19:09):
you're at that point. But then, as you say, when
you get off the plane or you get back into
the area, it all hits you in the face. And
I think anybody that's relocated, I think can understand, especially
as your life changes. I'm married now, I have a
four year old boy, so your perspective changes as well.
But a lot of times people are like, oh, I
can't wait to leave, you know, see you later, hometown
(19:31):
blah blah blah, see later, home state. And then over
time you gain perspective and you appreciate it. And I
think I don't think that story is is that foreign
to many. I think people can that have moved away
can feel the same way.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah, you either come back and you have the appreciation,
and then it becomes the All right, I visited, this
was fun. I'm going home. Yes, especially if you go back, say,
I don't know for a holiday season in the Midwest. Sure,
I love you. It's good to see you. Why am
I not at the beach?
Speaker 5 (19:57):
Yeah, I can play all tomorrow in California. Why am
I shoveling means those things Florida? Yeah, other places as well.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Other places where you can do those kind of things.
All right, So we did a good chunk of the
AFC East. We'll circle back to it as we continue
our division by division previews. Dan enjoy the time there.
The rest of the time with the family, and you're
wandering of Aaron Hills, and of course the root beer
