Speaker 3 (00:31):
For the last time two days ago.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Crazy Train Greetings, Welcome inside, Happy Monday, The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Carbon Steve de Sega in for Harmon. Okay, okay, okay.
Harmon is fine. No, he's on vacation. Promise that he's fine.
He's on VACA about Ozzy. I guarantee you he's listening
right now, going great, great, one day I'm off. They
(00:56):
just just kill me off the show. Click Frozzy me
off the show. He's also not in England, where you
would think he would be for the last Ozzie Black
Sabbath show.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
He's not there, but he is. He's fine.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Is that the last one in England? Or are they
gonna Oh that's you saw Ozzy.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
That's the last one, last one, Like that's it, Like
that if there's farewell concerts where you got yeah, okay,
and then a year from now it's.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Hey, We're yeah, the Eagles, the Hell Freezes Over tour,
We're back.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
And I think Motley Crue Haz had seven or eight
farewell concerts before they go. But that is the last Ozzie,
the last Black Sabbath show, Like Ozzie can't do it anymore.
They had to bring him up in a throne and
he's sad to do the songs like Ozzie's Parkinson's Bat
like this was Hey, this was the last Ozzie show ever.
And I'll say you I streamed a lot of that.
It was unbelievably good.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
So we're not gonna have like the band playing under
the band's name at some county fair in the future.
It just won't be Ozzy.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Wow and uh hey, some guys from uh uh the
Dark Sunday coming in to play a little bit.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
They'll find somebody from the Philippines on YouTube. That sounds
just like.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
I don't think they'll do that.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
This was it, like this was this way, this was
live aid for a hard rock generation. Like this lineup
was Guns N' Roses and Metallica did twenty minutes each.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Can you imagine.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, we'll come and do twenty minutes. That's fine, Yeah,
that's all. It's a old twenty.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
And then Mariano Rivera came in from the ball end.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
He came into the eneity safe but like because Sabbath,
they did four songs.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
That was the end. Paranoid was the last song that
you've ever heard. They'll ever do live.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Ozzie did four songs, which on because you know, look,
these guys are in their seventies now, they can only
do so much. But like I'm in my fifties, like
i'd like to go. I like to go to concert
like that. Give me a great band, give me five
or six of your best songs. Yeah, I'm good. I
don't need the entire catalog. I don't need all these
songs are terrible, but you insist on playing.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
I'm just gonna go buy a T shirt.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
No No to is like some of those good PBS
specials for people our age. Oh look at the Foreigner
contstant that do be Brothers counts.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
There was great stuff like that. This I mean everybody
doing like four or five. So this is fantastic. Every
twenty minutes to do it. They bought, they put super
groups together just to come out and do it, like
Jack Black saying, uh, mister Crowley, And it was like
school of Rock because he had all these rock legends
get like Todd Morello's kid and I think Scott Ian's
kid were in the band and they're hopefully back. Super Tramp,
(03:20):
super Tramp there. Super Tramp was not there. No, super
Tramp was not there. No, it was it was all
like so many big bands now. And like I said,
Guns N' Roses came on in twenty minutes, batalionate in
twenty five minutes, Like, yeah, we'll be there, just do
We'll just do twenty twenty five minutes. Yeah that's fine.
Well we'll go all the way to England, We'll go
to birmingham'll do that. Yeah, I'm just gonna you'll just
(03:40):
do a few minutes.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
So if they had a collector's VHS version of the
Weekend concert, you would be ordering this.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Oh nineteen oh yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
It was like a ten hour concert and I was
like in and out on it. Oh whoa, we just
skipped over that they started. Yeah, they started with like
a like rival Sons playing.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
You're not kidding about the live aspect. Oh yeah, it
was ten.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
And every band did like twenty, like just like live,
just like watching Bohemian Raps.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
And all the fans where they're standing covering up Veterans Stadium.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Every band did like twenty. Phil Collins was playing the
drums again. He took a plane over. No, and that's
what it was like. Every band did like twenty. Now
some bands I get doing twenty twenty five minutes. I
can imagine. Hey, metally yeah, like like less than a
half hour. Yeah, that's like less than a half hour.
Guns and Roses wasn't even on the bill, but they
called to say, oh, if you're doing this, we want
to come over. We want to do it. They're like, yeah,
(04:29):
can we fit. Yeah, but we got twenty minutory. Yeah
that's fine, that's good. We're good. We're good. Oh and
everybody does a Black Sabbath cover. Oh okay, great, trust
people'll do that too.
Speaker 5 (04:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Remember Slash doing the national anthem solo guitar for a
Dodgers playoff game. Memorable for the entire audience.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
It was, it was it was an amazing No many
you'd be for a guy that meant that much to
rock and roll to say goodbye that way, to do
that with his last concert.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
It's an England of course.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
It's incredible.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yeah, Like I was, I was listening and they brought
up a the basis for Anthrax. What was his name,
I forget, but they brought him on.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
I'll take Bassis for six hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
I forget his name, but that he comes on and
I admiorable because he's saying, dude, Like the guy's like
sixty five dude, dude, dude, Like he comes on. Anthrax
is a really huge there's such a big influential heavy
metal band from the early eighties that's eating that's got
to eat it. And they were such a big band.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
It's like wow. And he comes on and he says, hey,
we were so happy.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
I thank Sharon Osbourne for being putting us on the
bill because it was such a great thing. Like, look,
we're small potatoes here and I'm going this is this
is Anthrax. W It was a really big band in
the annals of heavy metal. Everybody knows who they are
and everything. I just can't name the basis name, but okay,
uh and he comes on and he says, hey, we're
small potatoes here, like we're small potatoes in this concert
that here's Ozzy, which tells you the scope of Black
(05:49):
Sabbath and Ozzy and the and the generations of people
and hard rock that it affected because Black Sabbath shows
up and it's like, whoa, whoa. Hard rock can be dangerous,
and it can be and it can be it can
it can put you on the edge of your seat.
It doesn't need to be you know, happy happy joy time.
Like here's Black Sabbath and nib and Wicked World and
(06:10):
it's whoa, these songs are dangerous.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
There's a basis listed named Dan Lilker. No, no, Frank Bello.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Frank Bello, that's what it was. Frank Bello.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah, Yeah, And he's gonna say, can dude, dude, we're here,
Like dude, dude, Dude's like, uh, It's like, those are
my people, it's my rock and roll.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Now.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
While this was going on this weekend.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
And a Frostberg cover, years we have been watching the
Yankees and Dodgers absolutely implode.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
My good.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
It hasn't ended for the Dodgers to.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Know what the sixteen nothing? Now?
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Is that? What is?
Speaker 4 (06:38):
What's only only a nine to one deficit at Milwaukee now?
Speaker 1 (06:42):
And so Yamamoto becomes an All Star and celebrates tonight
with with what too?
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Not getting out of the first Yeah, okay, yeah, I
was forty one pitches. Yeah, he got two outs and exited.
His manager was, to say the least, not happy because
through the weekend. Understand the Dodger fan perspective. First off,
they're hosting the Houston Astros, who still get booed constantly
in Los Angeles.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
And rightfully so.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
And Al Tuvey still comes up to bat, so there's
still a reason for Dodger fans to boo even though
most of the roster from twenty seventeen, of course, has
turned over by now. But the three they not only
got swept by a hot Houston team, and that's even
not the right adjective. Houston's been great for a couple
months now, but the three losing pitchers for the Dodgers
this weekend. One got sent to the miners the next day. Yeah,
(07:31):
one got sent to the miners today, and he.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Sent before he got done pitching.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
And the other you've never heard of. So there was
the weekend. Now tonight the all star who they're paying
to be the ace of the staff, Yamamoto, is there
and can't get out of the first time.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
We need you to go deep into the game, like
how many pitches like one about forty and in the
first inning and that's what? Like that?
Speaker 3 (07:50):
The Brewers got five in the first and that was it.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
But look, if I'm honest, right because the two most
high profile teams of Major League Baseball major skids right now.
I am way more worried about the Yankees, way more words.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Who are not in first place anymore.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
Because the Dodgers, look, they were not that.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Not to say, oh that they both have similar problems,
but to say Houston's been terrific the last couple months
is an understatement, because I if I'm.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
Old, they shot up to first place and it's a
huge lead.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
The Mariners have been playing near seven hundred ball for
most of June and for most of June into July,
and they've lost two and a half games in the standards.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
The Mariners, I believe, were the team that didn't just
sweep their opponent this weekend. They shut them out every
day and gain no ground.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Understanding again, They've playing nearly seven hundred ball the last
month and they've lost two and a half games in
the standings.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Like, what are you going to do?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
The Astros are just a buzzsaw right now. Yeah, the
Dodgers have issues, but as you see, they're just so
incredibly deep that they'll they can overcome everywhere.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
They have depth everywhere. They're going to keep.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
Bringing guys up and Gay Hernandez on the injured list today,
James Outman up from Triple A. Yeah, James Alben, who,
by the way, say, oh yeah, remember James Alban when
he was really good. You can hit minor league pitching.
They'll see if he can hit major league pitching.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
I'm not worried about the dodgital they are still just
so deep they can withstand.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Tyler glasnow coming back to pitch Wednesday afternoon at Milwaukee.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
I'm I'm not too concerned. Like every team goes in
a bad spot. Good they're bad spot, and you didn't
think the Dodgers would be get to a point where
they're going through a spot.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Well, this is clearly one, but this is but this
is one. It wasn't just the opponent.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
They're not playing clean baseball, and the first inning tonight
was an example of that because they needed defensive held
to get Yamamoto out of the inning. And Mookie Bets,
a former Gold Glover when he was an outfielder, is
the shortstop now for the Dodgers and not a Gold Glover,
Let's be honest. No, And he throws one in the dirt.
The inning continues, a three nothing deficit becomes five nothing,
(09:42):
and the game is at a hand because you've got
the Brewers all star pitching per alta for them tonight.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yeah, but for the Dodgers, Okay, there are This is
the definition when you hear, oh yeah, there's ups and
downs during the season, and when it happened. Look, the
Mets were bad on it. I'm sitting there going, it's
not ups and downs. You gonna win a game, come on, like,
but younger stand for certain teams. Hey, this is just
that time the injury bug hits us all at once.
Are starting pitching. Our bullpen is being tested right now.
But the Dodgers are still You're still twenty games over
(10:09):
five hundred, right, You're still the best in that division.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
I'm I'm not worried.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
The Yankees, Oh yeah, they're gonna have enough problem problems
just making the playoffs. They're just not a really good
The Dodgers are a fantastic team that's going through a
tough time. The Yankees are not great like they now
we see. They played way over their heads the first
couple of months of the year, and Aaron Judge what
he was hitting a home run every day, carried the
(10:34):
offense right, and they need more from their lineup, which
they're not getting. They're starting pitching, and you know, we
talked to John Paul Morosi about this last week. They're
really when you miss Garrett Cole every fifth day being
the guy that Okay, we're gonna stop the skid here,
we're gonna come out, we're gonna get we're gonna win
this game three to one, and all of a sudden
are bad times at Stopper. But that's why they stop her,
(10:55):
so they they don't kneel. I mean, look, Frieda is
having a great year, right, Frieda's having a great.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
All start in Atlanta next week, But.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
You would have both those guys and expecting you're not
gonna have much losing streaks. When you're talking about those
two guys at the top, of your rotte and.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Now the closer has had good stretches. Devin Williams right
and not right.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
But remember Weaver was great, but then he gave up
a couple, and now Weaver where a couple going on? Yeah,
this is the Yankees are just not a great They're
a good team, but they went all that revenge spending
when Sodo left. Okay, we're gonna go get Bellinger, We're
gonna go, We're gonna do all this, Okay, and what
is this done? They feel like, Oh, We've solved all
these holes, and Yankee fans walking around going, oh, we're
(11:32):
better off giving this money to all these guys and soda. Yeah,
still feel that way, the revenge spending Yankees face.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Still feel that way. Still feel the way.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
You have fallen out of first place and you are
just about you've given up ground to the Red Sox,
who things have been so bad for them they had
to trade their best player. This was where everything is
going wrong, and you're sitting there saying, hey, we're right
with the Red Sox and the Rains and the Blue Jays.
The Yankees are just one of a lot of good
(11:59):
teams in the American League and they're gonna again. They're
gonna have enough problems just making the playoffs. Way more
concerned about the Yankees.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
Put it this way, the Yankees lost three four games
in the standings this past week, Toronto red hot. If
they lose another three four games in the standings this
coming week, they'll not be in the wildcard picture officially
as we head toward All Star Break, because the Red
Sox right now are only two and a half games
out of the final wildcard spot, two and a half
back of Seattle and the Yankees. Swell, that's a three
(12:29):
and a half game difference between the Yankees and the
Red Sox right now, that's nothing. At this point.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
They've done, They've they've lost time when the other teams
are starting to play a little bit more to their capability.
Because look, the the Blue Jays lineup is talented. The
Red Sox, I thought coming into the season, had been
one of the best three lineups in all of Baseball's like, wow,
they're going to hit their way to the wildcard.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Rafael Devers is gonna he's.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Gonna be great. He's gonna be so great. When he
says yes, I'll move to first base and love it.
To play play there, every single.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Bird care if it didn't talk to me in advance.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Oh, it's gonna be awesome.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Like the Red Sox basically said, hey, we're way a
white flag on the season. Nope, we are right there,
and the Yankees are right there with them. I mean,
the Yankees overachieved the first couple of months, and it
was scary in that. You know, when I'm first seeing
the egg, like, boy, they're in first place, they got
a four or five game lead, and they feel like
they're really not playing well yet. And that filled me
with all, great, it's gonna be a whole summer. My
(13:18):
dad's saying, yeah, just later we get healthy and all
this stuff. And then you realize as time's going on,
oh no, this is just kind of who they are.
And they were playing a little bit above their heads. Again,
they're not going to all of a sudden fall into
a team that is not going to contend, but they're
going to be just one of many good teams in
the American League.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
And you also need to say out loud, Volpi at
short is not dare cheeter defensively, No, it's right, like
this needs to get better. And also I'm glad you
paired these two teams up. Because the Dodgers and people
that said you could start, and people expected so much
of them at the beginning of the season. They just
assume they see them at the top of the standings,
and they continue to be at the top of the
division standings. Everything's largely fine, and they're gonna be getting
(13:58):
people back, no problem. They've had a losing month during
the year already, and they're having a really bad past week.
And I looked it up the Chicago White Sox, who
have a record of thirty and sixty this year. We'll
give this in Harmon's owner tonight. The Chicago White Socks
have easily a better tm ERA than the Dodgers so
far this season. Because the Dodgers tmray is four point
(14:22):
three three, the average ERA is right around four. So
to say the least, this pitching staff and what they've
had to cobble together for a rotation is costing them.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Yeah, this is where in the off season and I say, okay,
I want to be fifteen deep with starting pitchers before
the season begins.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
On the Dodgers.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Fifteen deep, what because you're eight deep and still look
where you are we're eight deep, not a fifteen double it.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Actually they have three healthy starters, eight have been on
the injured list.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
So they got close to fifteen.
Speaker 1 (14:51):

Jay, what's happening man? How are you?
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Oh? I'm doing okay. How are you guys? Uh?
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Look at we're doing okay.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
I look uh, I'm feeling good because you know, we
went through our the Mets went through their.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Big slump, and now you're going to catch it the
absolute wrong time. So it's good.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
That's fine with me. I mean again, I just want
this spillcast team there to trade some players so are
going to be here in the future. So if if
it takes a sweep going in the All Star break
for him to even attempt to do the right thing,
I'm here for it.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
So you're like you're like standing on your roof with
a broom in the air, going let's go, Mets, Let's go.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
I just want this dot fired. I want the team
to have a real general manager in the real front office,
so they have a real chance of winning. It was
kind of like the US under Bear Halter. I mean,
and by the time they got around to doing you
know what, the data was too late anyway. But there
comes a point in time where it's like, you know,
this is you can see that incompetent fools are in charge,
(19:08):
and there's they run a mark at US soccer. I
don't think they pop. That don't be a hire anybody
unless they're a complete jackass, Like I think that's a
that's a requirement. Well, you know, and that doesn't count
for people like Poach or they're just ranking and you know,
this is just a stop gap for him, and it
was a nontenable situation. But yeah, no, you know it
is what it is with the Oriols. They're run by
(19:32):
a bunch of fools who works up calculators.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
All right, So you mentioned the US men's nasty. We
we share the affinity for soccer with them. How scale
of one to ten as far as how upset you
are after losing the Gold Cup One not upset at all?
Speaker 3 (19:46):
Ten extremely upset? Where are you?
Speaker 5 (19:48):
I'm not upset? I mean it was I mean they
weren't going to win that game. They could have played
that game thirty thirty times in thirty different places, and
they weren't going to win that game. I mean, I
don't even know what that was. I mean, the slop
against Guatemala, Like, I don't care if it's a bets
that that's like, that wasn't good enough twenty five years ago.
(20:11):
How could it possibly be the best we could do now? Yeah? Look,
I made a good amount of money fading them in
this tournament, you know, having them in the knockout rounds,
to do no better than drawl, having them conceding goals,
having Mexico scoring more than once, having Mexico win. And
(20:31):
I'll be fading the hell out of them in the
next summer, and they'll get a great trawl because FIFA
knows don't have to rig the hell out of that
thing to give them a fighting chance, and even in
a weak group. But I don't think they're going to advance.
I just it's they don't look. I mean, they don't
have a nine, they don't have a keeper, they don't
(20:53):
have a back line. I think they have the potential
to have a midfield, but I doubt that Bustino's going
to figure it out so little time ever seeing you know,
what could have been his best eleven together in any
sort of meaningful games, he was stripped of that. I
think he sees this for what it is already. I
(21:13):
just it's a joke, man, It's it's a joke. And
it'll be fascinating to see where they go from here
after they crash out, and if they're going to accomplish
their goals most likely, which would be to just spill
their conference for decades to come from this tournament. It'd
be hard to butcher that. Now, what's going on in
the infrastructure of this country, what's called on transportation in
(21:35):
this country, what's caught on the weather of this country,
and the lack of preparedness to handle anything that might
make it a disaster, And maybe that would wake them up,
but the reality is, I can't. You know, in all
likelihood it will be a bonanza for FIFA and Coca
(21:58):
Taff and US Soccer, and so they'll just continue with
the nepotism and cronyism and backslapping and just absolute greed
overall else that has led to this program having this
sort of stasis and backwardness and just systemic rot that's
(22:22):
set in and like two thousand and two feels like
fifty years ago, you know what I mean, Like then
the hope that was there and what could have been
in that tournament, of what was in that tournament and
what the future looked like coming out of that tournament.
It feels like it feels like a lifetime ago.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
Yeah, and twenty years ago, US man soccer could compete
with literally anybody Spain, whoever. We're speaking with Jason locking
for I'm Steven. We're talking about this before NFL because
the Gold Cup final was just yesterday on Fox TV.
You with the US two to one loss to Mexico
in Houston. The US Mexico to the co hosts for
the World Cup next summer. Already, I am hearing some people,
(23:02):
Jason be a little too positive in my opinion about
the US chances next summer because address these specifically, Well,
it wasn't all our best out there. We're going to
be getting ring veterans back. The roster will be better.
I'm not convinced the roster will be better because the
veterans already lost back to back games early this year.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
Well, it'll be the roster will be better. I mean
that was a joke what they ran out there. It's
just it wasn't even good enough against Guatemala on Costa Rica,
like so.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
Yeah, penalty kicks in.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
It has to be it has to be better than that,
and it will be better than that, but it won't
be remotely good enough. I mean, the two players from
that team who best distinguished themselves. We're two who already
played regularly in Europe too, who were expected to be
the best two on that team. One of them, Chris Richards,
has been a stalwart for them for a while and
(23:55):
he's their number one center back and I don't think
there was a ton of question about that before this tournament,
and then they key further solidified it. And Malie Tillman,
there's always been questions about, Wow, like you watch him
play for his club teams and you're like there's a
lot there and he hadn't been able to find his
way with this team, and he did in this tournament.
Other than that, like the as not seeing the pitch,
(24:15):
I mean, I love It's a great story, you know,
like I'm into it. It's fine for what it is.
If he shoes the pitch in the in the World
Cup bets because they're down three nailing and folks likes
him and he puts them in there in garbage time.
But like that that none of us is carrying over
like this mean that that that's a that was a joke.
I mean that that team couldn't get possession against Guatemala
(24:40):
in a knockout game on home turf in what became
a road game like that that reminded me of stuff
from the eighties. Like so the roster will be better,
but the level of competition will be far higher, and
there'll be so much more at stake. And this is
the least unc watch group of fake Golden Generation players
(25:03):
are ever seen in my life. And maybe they try
a little harder and maybe they care a little more,
but they don't even really seem to like each other.
They don't even seem to have fun when they put
the US kit on. And I don't think any of
that's getting solved in eleven months. So there's nothing to
be carried over from this gold top. There was no rediscovery,
there was no Yeah. I mean they had a bit
(25:25):
of a work rate that would be necessary, and that's
still again and carry them to be the better team
against Guatemala in the knockout game on home turf. They
survive if they clung on for dear life, Like, get
out of here, man, get that slop out of my face.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Jay's locking for our guest Jason Smith, Steve de Seger here,
Fox Sports Radio. All right now, as we're getting ready
for the for camps to start and in a few weeks,
you know, I feel like every few days the Shador
Sanders narrative changes.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Looked really good in mini camp and he was throwing
and now suddenly.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Hey, maybe he's the fourth best quarterback on the roster.
Maybe he's going to negotiate with the CFL and wind
up there for a few weeks.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Like what are you hearing?
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Is is where things stand right now with that?
Speaker 5 (26:13):
That's nothing, There's nothing happening, They're not doing anything. Everybody's
on vacation. He's going to be there for camp. It'll
play out. It's funny. I had a long talk with
a high ranking official four team that drafted a quarterback
pretty high to shit, and I was like, dude, what
was your experience like with this? What do you think
(26:35):
is going to happen in Cleveland? And he's like, fuck
when you're the product of being basically raised in a
weird bubble where your daddy's ear only coach your whole life.
Oh and he happens to be, you know, you know,
one of the last two's four players and a guy
with something of a two way player, and obviously he's
one of the best football players of all time. And
(26:56):
you kind of bounce around all these different schools and
you don't really have a home and you're surrounded by cameras.
Your whole life and your whole sort of childhood has
been a reality show or potential reality show like that.
That's gonna it's going to work you in some ways.
But like he's like not an unfixable ways and in
a market like that, And if they bring him along
(27:17):
the right way, and he's like, look, Stefanci and Andrew
Berry are smart enough to do that and to get
them as low as they got him, they'll have a
plan for him. And if that kid sticks to that plan,
he won't play much this year. It'll have a chance
to be a starter for them. And and if you
can get his head right, win some football games with them,
because there is a level of talent there and there's
(27:38):
a high understanding of the sport of football. But he's
got to mature and he's got to he's got to,
you know, get away from some of the things that
he's been around his whole life and sort of get
out of that cacoon. And that looks like again in
this executive's estimation to be a good group of people
from Stefanski again to the front office who he thought
(27:59):
could develop so that, you know, it all sounded pretty
reasonable to me. Now, could that have happened in New York?
You know, with Tamus and Russ already there and the
media circus that's always sort of there, and with coach,
you know, a coach who's coming in fighting for his
job and people thought would have already been fired, but
(28:22):
probably not. But yeah, I mean, he wasn't even the
first quarterback they drafted. So like, if he does nothing
this year but look good to them and practices that
nobody in the media ever sees its South team quarterback
for your fifth round picks, that's good enough. Like, that's
plenty good enough. And if he has to play, they'll
probably be pretty smart about when they get around to
(28:44):
that happening. And you know, could he win a game
or two with them this year? I mean, I don't know.
I don't think they're winning that many games with anybody's
the quarterback this year. And no, I don't think he's
going to the CFL, and I think he's going to
take a long while for the story to be written.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
As we head toward the NFL season. I think nationally, Jason,
people were surprised by the Washington Commanders and entertained by
their season, not just the postseason run. The NFC certainly
has enough competition, though, wouldn't you say, would you say
they can duplicate the Commanders next season the kind of
season they just had and what kind of season for
the quarterback.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
No, I don't think they'll duplicate the season. It's not
to say that I think they're going to have a
massive aggression, and I think the quarterback is special. But
I do think they kept some guys there who were
old before they got there and now they're a year older,
and that usually in this sport was a young man's
(29:43):
game that that could come at a cost. But not
going to sneak up on anybody this year. Everybody will
have spent the offseason studying everything Kingsbury did. I still
don't think they really have pass rushers. I don't think
they have enough fight on defense. They'll be playing tougher teams.
So no, don't think they're going to go as far
as they did last year in the playoffs. I don't
(30:03):
think they're going to win as many regular season games.
I'm also not going to say there's no chance that
you know that they're not in the playoffs. And I
still think they're the second best team in that division,
and I think they probably did get in the postseason.
But I know, I don't think they're going to duplicate
what they did last season. But that franchise has come
(30:24):
leaps and bounds in every way, shape and form from
just a couple of years ago when they were still
you know, in the death grip of Van Sneyder. They
got to get the stadium things sorted out, and that
seems a little itsier now that it may have a
few months back. But like from everything football, football operations,
(30:46):
coaching staff, quarterback, marketing, branding, that they're in a far
better place than they've been. I mean, I mean thirty years.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
He's on Twitter at Jason Locke and four that is
at Jason Locke and Flora. Jay is always buddy, appreciate it, man.
We'll talk next week. Good luck against the Mets this week.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
Hey, Bobby, I'll be Betton. That's run lines, all right.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Always a great visit with Jason lock and fora we
got more NFL on the way. But right now Steve
de Seger has what's trending in the wide world of sports,
and mercifully for the Dodgers, that game is over.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
Yeah, and there's another one tomorrow. Happy Jacob de gram Day.
By the way, he's pitching an Anaheim for the Texas
Rangers tonight and you know what, he is allowed a
home run to his former Battery mate Travis Darnow. It's
Texas for to three over the Angels in the bottom
of the third, Corey Seger a two run homer in
the first for Texas. Bottom of the ninth. Marlin's lead
(31:48):
at Cincinnati five to one, Guardians holding on top of
the ninth at Houston six to five. Houston just completed
a three game sweep of the Dodgers in LA. And
it's believe it or not, you Darvish on the mound
San Diego. Tonight's season debut after the elbow inflammation Diamondbacks
lead to one at San Diego. At the end of three,
Giants won nothing over the Phillies now into the fourth inning.
(32:10):
Everything else on the Monday night schedule is a final,
including Milwaukee starting its home series against La with an
emphatic victory nine to one. The Dodgers have lost four
straight now. The Eldeyoshinobu Yamamoto, an All Star pitcher, entered
with an ERA of two and a half, but he
was out in the first inning. Allowed five runs forty
one pitches. Toronto won its ninth straight game eight four
(32:32):
at the White Sox hoose A Barrio's pitch six innings
for the win Kansas City nine to three over the Pirates,
who've lost four in a row, but at least they scored.
They got shut out three straight days at Seattle. Over
the weekend, Boston won its fourth straight game, nine to
three against Colorado. The Rockies record now twenty one and seventy. Detroit,
meanwhile an impressive fifty eight and thirty four this season.
(32:53):
Tigers won their fourth straight, beating Tampa Bay five to one.
The national's name Miguel Cairo is interim manager Dave Martinez
was fired Sunday. The Twins Byron Buxton will be in
next Monday's home run derby in Atlanta. He's a Georgia native.
The Orlando Magic ave Paula Banco a five year MAX
extension worth at least two hundred thirty nine million dollars.
(33:14):
The Clippers traded Norman Powell to the Heat. It's a
three way deal. The guy comen to the Clippers is
John Collins, who just averaged nineteen points eight rebounds a game.
Utah's involved and gets Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a
second rounder WNBA Atlanta over Golden State earlier tonight. The
only other games at Phoenix, Mercury lead forty two to
(33:35):
thirty one against Dallas late in the second quarter. At
the Women's euro Spain won six' to two Against Belgium
portugal with a late goal. Surprised italy won to. One
and At, wimbledon number one Seed Yanick center advanced to
the quarterfinals win his, opponent who was up two sets to,
none was. Injured back to, you.

Exanavarez the flag comes up for.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Offside mexico has had multiple goals ruled out for offside
at this. Tournament and he's having a look at this right.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Now, again we're not looking for clear and obvious here
as he would AT.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Mls what is it for the right? Decision and it
is a good. Goal it is A mexico.
Speaker 1 (35:32):

Speaker 3 (35:37):
Play oh, no we suck, again.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Big fox on the. Call, Yeah United states has ran
out of.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Gain, yeah that's what happens when you score in the
fourth minutes and then play defense for the other.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
NIGHT i.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Can't, yeah and you know how Many United states men's
games over the last like twelve years has that been the.
Case we score in the first few, minutes looked like
the greatest team demse goal and yeah nothing? Else, yeah
then good. Luck oh there's eighty six minutes, left. Y'all
YOU i, mean the game doesn't just end it's not
first team to score. Win by the, way it was
first team to score, wins we would have a couple
of WAR.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Winni, great, sure, YEAH i like. That we played the
actual cut to hear how it was at The Houston
Texans stadium last, night because many people have commented on.
It that's just one of THE nfl stadiums that's going
to be used for The World cup next. Summer that
was A World cup atmosphere that was. Sensational seventy one
thousand people for. That The Gold cup in case you downed,
that that's our region's, championship held every couple of years
(36:32):
since ninety ninety, one usually With mexico AND us in the,
final and.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Usually With mexico the.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
Winner since two thousand and, Nine mexico has won six
of the last nine. TOURNAMENTS us took the other. Three
notable this year is because they're co hosting The World,
cup most of the games in THE, us some In,
mexico some In, canada but as co, hosts you automatically
get into The World cup next, summer so this was
the last competitive match for those two sides before The World.
(36:59):
Cup it's nothing but exhibitions and setting your roster until.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Then, yeah it's gonna be. Easy it's gonna be easy for.
Us we're on easy.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Street.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Yeah you know what's easy is going through a tournament
Against haiti And trinidad And guatemala and thinking you accomplished
something by making the.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Final, Now i'll tell you, WHAT i am not as
bummed about this as as as many other people, are
which we'll get to coming up next. Hour i'm not
as bummed about losing BECAUSE i feel like there was
a lot Like Jason lockin for is like it's. Done
i'm not as, bummed which we'll get. To but, uh
LOOK i promised. This so we have to talk about
how this BIG nba trade got even bigger and more. Ridiculous, Right,
(37:38):
so we had heard rumors last week The Kevin durant
to The Houston rockets trade was gonna get bigger than
it was. Reported potentially seven teams are gonna get. Involved,
no that will never. Happen and as this, weekend that's
exactly what did. Happen, okay seven biggest trade as far as,
teams THE nba has seen seven teams involved in this
trade that Saw Kevin durant go To.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
Houston, right now as part of a sidebar the the.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Small trade today in Which Kevin love winds up getting
dealt in a separate deal in The. Utah yet he, says,
oh that didn't Think i'd be there for the math
because he's only there to make the trade work math.
Wise but this is where we are in THE. Nba.
Now he comes only three teams, Today that was only.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Three that was. Nothing that was that was a kid
giving out.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Candy but he hits on something that is a really big,
thing and That if this seven team trade doesn't tell
you how ridiculously stupid THE nba trade rules, ARE i
don't know what.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Else there is to tell. You no other, sport all
of the, rules not just, trades.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
But, this but this whole making it, work and the
first apron and the second apron in the.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
Heart if this doesn't Tell.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Peter rights And bird rides.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Bad this is just and THE, nba this is what
they need to look. At it's so it's so difficult
to make trades, anyway number all the different crazy rules
they've put.
Speaker 4 (38:59):
In AND i thought that trade deadline thing was a
big day for THE nba last.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Week no other professional sport has anything even close to
you had a seven team.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
Trade, Man this is where you got to.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Look in the mirror and, go, okay are we really
doing the right thing is or do we need to
take a look at at how we make these trades
and make it a little bit, better a little bit
easier for teams to. Trade BECAUSE i get that they
had to make it a little bit more difficult for
the you, know fifteen twenty years, ago because they wanted
to be.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Competitive they didn't want teams to have an. ADVANTAGE i understand.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
It salarays asked me about EVEN i get all that
pay so out of control with this, man it's a seventeen,
trade And i'm certain that five teams did not want
to be.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Involved oh but all, right well we'll do you a.
Solid you'll do us a solid at some point later.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
On like.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
That that is The that is the utterly ridiculous portion Of,
okay this is where the. End all, right we really
need to go in here with some sort of trade
reform because this is just to Have this is not
working and it's just getting. More what next off, Sea
we're gonna get ten team, Trade we'll get attend to.
Seven it's not let's get to a ten team. Trade
this IS i, mean this is you look you what's
the over under on a thirty team? Trade you look
(40:05):
like you're just making you get a.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
Player, yeah you get a. Player, Hey, oh don't.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Forget it's that mandatory trade right right, right we have
to trade Somebody.
Speaker 4 (40:12):
July first every. Year just have a mandatory thirty team. Trade.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah like the amnesty, rule, well allow you to amnesty one.
Player everybody gets the amnesty one. Player The Alan houston,
rule which The knicks did not Use Forrallan. HOUSTON i,
LIKE i feel like THE nba they just seem so
small time with, This like, there we're just making up
the trade rules as we go, along just making.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
It it also means they have a lot of incoming
cash and they have to kind of adjust things on the.
Fly and this is what you wind up. With it's
like the guy that used to, sketch you, know the
uh intricate stuff like the moving parts of a, clock
except it winds up using three four pieces of paper
and it's a construction that nobody ever envision and now
(40:53):
you can't keep it all in one. Room and it's
that kind of this is what it's. Become and it
is the beyond the basic understanding of your actual fans
of your, sport, oh the average.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Fans, yeah we gotta make the salaries. Match, okay, yeah
that's all, like that's like one tenth of one percent
of what has to happen to make a. Trade oh, okay,
okay it Gets it's utterly. Ridiculous they gotta have. Change,
now speaking of, trades are we going to see one
big superstar traded after.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
What he did this?
Speaker 1 (41:23):
Weekend that's coming up next right. Here Jason smith steveh To,
sager this Is Fox Sports. Radio, yes this is About
lebron here muchou. Choobah, okay very, good alr. GOOD i figured,
that very, good, Much, alexander very. Nice Jason smith teve
To sager in For Mike harmon. Tonight Happy, monday h
(41:43):
And happy fourth Of july. Weekend maybe you Watch Joey
chestnut eat seventy one hot dogs On. Saturday my, goodness you,
KNOW i was a little bummed BECAUSE i really thought
he Was. FRIDAY i really thought he was gonna get to.
EIGHTY i really, thought, like you, know you gotta get
this disappointment for you not to announce your presence.
Speaker 4 (41:58):
With authority War man five hot.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
DOGS i know he had a twenty five hot dog.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Spread, look you Think vegas doesn't know the, Number, like
wasn't it right on the? Number Like vegas knows the
number for, everything, Right like they had the number for
a Hot, no like he had a. TWEET i think
he was a twenty five hot dog. Favorite and wherever
you GOT i, mean, HEY i, Was, HEY i GOT
i got chest out of twenty four and a half
hot dogs that last one and a half counted and
it was right, there like it was right on the.
(42:22):
Button LIKE i don't. Understand uh, Really so you don't
keep building new casinos for nothing some of The vegas,
Does like how are you getting on the number For
like if you said to me, okay like like, oh
maybe maybe this is a. Movie like if you said to, me,
okay there's one guy In, vegas one, guy and he's
actually been to the. Future he's been to the end of.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Time that's.
Speaker 4 (42:44):
Right he has the fifth book right back to the,
future all the way from, now all the results of
The Future world. Series, yeah everything, Now so when is?
Speaker 1 (42:53):
It when does The Andromeda galaxy supposedly come and swallow
The Milky Way like like seven million years from now
or something.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
Like, that and really though our.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
Lifetime oh, yeah, yeah, no, no but that's, it LIKE
i remember we when we, sorry is this really fun? Story,
no but this gets the, thing, like, no, no we
when we went to Space. Camp astro camp for fifth
grade was always Big Space.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
Force, yes, Yes Space. Force Space Space.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
Camp was a movie With Tate donovan from the eighties
when somehow it's a bunch of kids get to blast
off into space when oh we didn't know the we
didn't know the rocket was.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Live oh ready.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
Goes so they go into, space which is really. Stupid
but so we go to astro camp and we do,
it and it's it's thing to do all the stuff
with the stars and all.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
That it's it's a really fun. Time and my wife
AND i were two of the.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
Chaperones so we go and at night time they bring
the kids out to where they could see all the
stars and it's up in the hills and you get
a really great spot of being able to see the.
Milk you see the Milky, way See oryon's belt and
the big and little dipper, right just all. Things and
so they're up this other sitting there and and and you,
know these these kids are all, like you, know, nine
ten years, old and so and and. So the person
(44:01):
giving the tour, said, okay and over here is, this
and over there and all the way over there is.
THAT i, THINK i think it's The androma. Galaxy but he,
goes and that's The andrama, galaxy way way way over.
There if you might be able to see them bout
it's so far. Away it's so far, away and but
IN i think it's seven million, years but it's moving
closer to our planet with a rapid, speed and in
(44:23):
seven million years it's going to engulf our.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
ENTIRE ai predicts it's four and a half, billion four and.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
A half billion. Years, okay so four and a half
billion years it's going to.
Speaker 4 (44:32):
Come still maybe not in our, Lifetime yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:34):
No maybe.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
Maybe but when you say, that you, say, oh it's
gonna come and just. Eradicate it's gonna completely just swallow our. Galaxy,
Hoh we're like, really, yeah, yeah they'll be not and
and and and the person he IS, sai, yeah there'll
be nothing. Left i'm going, oh, okay, OKAY i get
four and a half. BILLION i understand. That but there's
some nine year olds that. Go, hey Mister. Jason, yeah
(44:56):
when they said it's gonna swallow our, GUYS i, said
it's never gonna it's not gonna happen to. Ry it's
it's just so THAT dna weeks does not. Matter it's
four and a half billion, years and it may and
it may not. Happen oh okay it might have No,
no it might. Not i've read many. Times it might not.
Happen it might not.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
Happen, okay good, right good good.
Speaker 4 (45:14):
Day, yeah things they might get, together there might be
some sort of.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Peace, treaty like you, know like, oh you, know can
change think about like THIS i read this week and
what was it The discovery that was launched in seventy,
seven whatever it was was the big, whatever the big.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Launch in nineteen seventy. Seven, okay so you're going.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
Back back in the skylight there of all of.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
That forty eight, years we sent out a ship that
was to go as far as it can to the
edge of the. Galaxy, okay, now in forty eight years
voyage and for the voyager that was forty eight, years
forty eight, years it's still not even one light year
away From earth like they say it's going to get
one light year away From earth next.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Year, okay so fourwenty eight, years we've.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
Sent something that probably has the the electronic capacity of
a smart watch that can get now is into space
and it's still going right like we sent it out
There NaSTA eight years, Ago ascars nast as long as
fashion at THAN nascar reign delay. Exactly we started in
nineteen seventy, Seven Richard petty was on the, pole and
(46:21):
now today coming back forty eight years it, took and
now we're going to get one light year away From
earth one just one light year in forty eight, years
AND i can't believe it's still.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Working like they sent that.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
Again the technology on that is like maybe it's like
the same from a microwave, oven and they sent that
out that thing is still transmitting back to.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
Us so putting in perspective of all those people that
complained about the logistics of the Movie gravity With George,
clooney yeah, yeah they're, correct because they could actually travel
from one place in space to another place in.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
Space, yes, yeah they.
Speaker 4 (47:00):
Could people smarter than you AND i were, saying, oh come,
on for crying out, loud, people we can the distances are.
Enormous you're just telling us exactly just a small portion
of what that really. Means the distance.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
Forty eight year would to get to one one light
one light, year one light.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
Year so it's the equivalent of attempting to drive let's,
say From West la down Toward Orange county on the
four or.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
Five oh, no, no that we'll get here. Faster that
will get here. Fast, yeah you will still be on
the freeway when you're. Watch, wow It's armygeddon that's gonna come.
In oh, No luckily we said astronauts who were dressed
as mind drillers to get out there and really do,
it because these people work on oil. Rigs so, yeah
let's have them save the. World yeah that's. Great, okay that's.
Fantastic so while that's going on this, weekend, RIGHT i
(47:45):
hate to SAY i told you, so but did you
see who happened to just get photographed having an appearance
at The Cleveland cavaliers practice Facility Lebron.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
James oh, again is that an?
Speaker 1 (47:58):
ACCIDENT i hate to say SAY i told you, so
but for How but for a year Now i've told
You lebron's gonna end his career In cleveland, right he's gonna,
go he's gonna wind.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
Up he will be.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
Appropriate it is the the the distance Between lebron and
The lakers now maybe a voyager one light year between
where teams are. Going and you, know about a year
ago we talked about this AND i, said, well it'll
be at the.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
End of his. Contract he's got the one. Year he's
opting in fifty one.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Million, literally we Know, cleveland we would become so, good so,
good so. FAST i imagine if they could actually fit
a veteran into that salary end. Cap all we have.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Seen the last few months since The lakers Got Luka,
doncic was The lakers moving away From, lebron and you
know they would trade him if they.
Speaker 3 (48:45):
Could.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
Everything, look it's running as a promo on the, network
everything that The lakers have been doing the last few
weeks and.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Months they are Daring lebron to ask for a.
Speaker 4 (48:56):
Trade and it was his sharing option to opt in
a certain not the. Labor he had to Be lakers
where it's, SAY i would love to give you fifty.
Million what do you think.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Let's extend your contract like this? Year is it For
lebron with The?
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Lakers any option because no one else has given him
that money and not also in theory would make him
easier to trade Because, okay it's one year, here And
i'm sure if they Traded lebron to back To, cleveland
six other teams, involved he would he would sign some
sort OF i want to do this two year. Deal,
however it's going to go maybe, seven, eight, ten, twelve
fifteen teams Involved Lebron james. Deal but The lakers have
been Daring lebron to ask for a, trade, right he's
(49:30):
got no trade.
Speaker 4 (49:31):
CLAUSE i don't see how mathematically that could actually, work
despite what we just saw over the, week in a
seventeen three.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
Teams and make it, happen they'll get TWELVE.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
Ta teams like The Rochester royals would have to get,
involved teams that don't exist in THE nba.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
Anymore, wait, hey, hey the what was the team that's
still getting money In Saint louis?
Speaker 4 (49:50):
Right?
Speaker 1 (49:50):
Oh The spirits is Say, Lewis, Hey, ray we got
to take some of that vaviordun collect that's a great.
Speaker 4 (49:55):
Story glad you people don't realize that not all THE
aba teams got to merge in like The spurs or The,
pacers they actually got money not to merge in and
they've been getting money this whole.
Speaker 3 (50:06):
Time, yeah we're gonna cancel that. Deal, okay because we
have some other stuff.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
Going can you talk about Your Bobby benia.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
Day but just just just play this out because this
is what's happening right, Now, lebron like this game Of
chicken is going on With lebron and The, lakers Right
lebron ops, In but make sure as a put out
the statement that want to make sure the team is.
Competitive The lakers want to be, competitive they want to.
Win they are just gonna, say, hey we're hamstrung because
you're taking up a third of our salary cap now
(50:31):
and you're not at the point in your career where
you can take up a third of our salary.
Speaker 4 (50:35):
Cap so now let's see if you really think you
want us to be. Competitive they wouldn't dig into.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
That we have to go take a flyer On DeAndre,
eighton which is a nice, Move but this is what's
Gonna this is all we're gonna do. Now the minute
they move on From, lebron they will bring. It hey
who's our? Guy they know who their guy or a
couple of guys are to, say these are our players
to bring in Alongside Luka.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Doncics it's gonna be the next great era of.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
The lady set.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
Up we know who we're gonna, do but we're not
gonna do it now because we can't and Be we
Want lebron to ask for a trade now with the
no trade. Clause he's got to, say but there's only
one place he can, go. Right he can't go any
place else. Where it doesn't look, Like, Hey i'm just
trying to hold. On where does it look? Like no
matter how it ends for, me it's going to end,
well and It's cleveland because he can always, Say i'm
(51:18):
ending at. HOME i started at, HOME i, LEFT i went,
BACK i left. Again i'm gonna go. Back i'll leave
again and go. Back it's like when you go way to.
College i'll, LEAVE i come, BACK i go, AWAY i come.
BACK i got laundry to. Do no matter how it
ends In, cleveland it ends well for him because he
ends at. Home if he goes To dallas or The
knicks or someplace, else, okay and it doesn't, work, Boy,
lebron you tried at the, End look how bad it.
(51:40):
Is he wants to control his legacy and control the,
optics And cleveland's the only place he can.
Speaker 3 (51:45):
Go and now you see how good they. Are, yeah
they could be.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
A Lebron james away from winning The east because clearly
they could use him and they need somebody to take
the pressure off that team because they're all as good
as they are, are they clearly don't know what it
takes to win because you saw them getting pushed out
of the playoffs when clearly they're missing that leadership kind
of role and.
Speaker 3 (52:07):
Whatever kind of.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Leader, lebron as you, know he would take that pressure
off of them because it would become about him and
they'd be able to just. Play lebron would go back
for a year or, two depending how it. Goes as
long as he's playing, well he'd go for a ego
for a couple of. Years But lebron doesn't do anything
just off the, cuff.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Right there's reason why in.
Speaker 4 (52:27):
Since he was a. Teenager by the, way.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
In the wake of the trade, rumors Where bron he's
having to answer trade rumors over the course of the
last few days About, lebron there's no way he shows
up In cleveland with that picture unless that's something he
either wants to jumpstart or has jump started about going
back To. Cleveland just want to grease that out there
that hey here In, cleve still a kid From, Akron
(52:49):
still a KIDD i go back. Here i'm telling. HOME
i thought it would be after this, year but it
could be this offseason That i've never. Thought we're close
as close to A Lebron james trade.
Speaker 3 (53:00):
As we are right. Now.
Speaker 1 (53:01):
Now clearly The lakers would get a couple of assets,
back but they would want to get out front of
the money and they get something that's pretty, good but
they're not gonna get anything over the top grade Because
cleveland's gonna want to keep their. Roster but they are.
Deep they are. Deep they go eight to nine deep
with guys that can. Score they can fill it up
at the best offense in THE nba last, Year so
they can afford to make this kind of trade because
clearly what they had wasn't. Enough so they can make
(53:23):
this and maybe a couple more teams get involved to
make it. Happen it's a four or five team trade
when it's all said In Rochester. Royals So i'm Sure
Saint louis are you're gonna give us The.
Speaker 4 (53:31):
City Omaha kings getting.
Speaker 1 (53:32):
Involved oh, yeah, yeah well we're, Hey we're, hey we're
gonna we're gonna put a team back In.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
Seattle you guys are gonna be. Great it's gonna be.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
Awesome but we have never been closer to A lebron
trade than we are right. Now lebron had he, had
the only thing is he's got to make A i'm
okay with being. Dealt there's gonna be and it would
be something really, fast like, hey suddenly it's. Good, hey
this is gonna, Work and it's just a matter of
time as to how we figure out who goes where
and who gets. Involved because once that gets out that they're,
(53:59):
Negotia lebron can't go back to The lakers And cleveland
can't go back to not getting. Him so he's so
this is this big test, balloon letting everybody, Know, HEY
i can come back To.
Speaker 3 (54:10):
Cleveland maybe it's already.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
Started if, not let's start it going right, now because
Clearly i'm not part of the solution IN LA i
don't feel Like i'm wanted, anymore And lebron's not gonna
play for, team doesn't feel wanted on and so, yeah
let me come back here AND i control the end
of my career. Narrative, Again we've never been closer to
A lebron trade than we are right.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Now it would be.
Speaker 4 (54:29):
Better if we're all, Involved frankly and The. Lakers and
by the, way you briefly Reference Brownie, james that Summer
league Star Bronnie james to. You, sorry, yes after the Dunky,
LAKERS i want to see it come to the point
where they're stuck with the. Contract they're stuck with. Him
he can still, play by the, way we don't mean
to imply that he, can't but it's gonna it's gonna
eventually be like The yankees don't want to Employ George costanza.
(54:52):
Anymore so how much do we have to do to
get him out the? Door change the locks on the,
bathroom what have? You so that he, says, Fine i've had.
Enough i'm going.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Oh, okay see, Now i'm just picturing When george is
stant Teaching Derek jeter how To it's all.
Speaker 3 (55:05):
Mental it's all. Mental it's all. Mental uh, yeah get,
Ready lebron to The. CALVES i hate to SAY i
told you, so but get ready
