(00:56):
Dodgers one one in the fourth. Okay, Dodgers, let's have
a another big W. You'd be nice, nice to have
another W here.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
You know, Dodger, you didn't put a hat, I mean
key k Hernandez's back.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
He could he could come in to relieve Clayton Kershaw
on the next thing. You never know, Well, he's got
to because it isn't his bobblehead coming up soon?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I think so, Yeah, he'd be healthy forever, I thought.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
They.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I got a lot of friends that that, you know,
if I come up with a kek bobblehead, like you
don't find a king, I am if I get a
kek bobblehead for them.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
See, today I went and I found my my bucket
of all the autographed Taylor Swift discs.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
That I have.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
No, Okay, I was feeling pretty good, very and yeah,
and then I think about the ones that my kids
gave away, and I said, yeah, that friend wasn't worth that.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
You never know, you know what did I read? The
other day? Sean Aston was doing an interview and they
asked him about some stuff from you know, with all
the movies he ever did in his life, and he said,
anything you wish you had? He goes, yeah, all the
stuff from Goonies, Like he had the map. Apparently he goes,
and you know that map right now? What's that worth?
A couple hundred thousand dollars somebody would buy for the

(02:06):
map from Goonies? But I had it at home and
I'm pretty sure my mom threw it out.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Well It's funny. One of the things that we you know,
reference all the time, right, the flashy thing you know
from Men in Black, the neuralis, Yeah, there's actually one
up for auction coming up here.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Does it work? If it works, I'll buy it. I mean,
if that works, I'll buy it.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
The estimate is that it could go for as much
as one hundred and fifty K.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I'll use it on myself to forget all the Jets
seasons for the last fourteen years.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
That would be pretty sweet.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Boy. I go, I go right from the AFC Championship
game against the Steelers in twenty two. I don't doubt.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I don't think it has a dial that you put
in beginning an end dates like you're doing a search
for transaction history of whether you paid out on a
bill or something.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Here's how long, here's how long it is, right for Like, look,
the Jets postseason drought is the longest in North American
sports right now. It's fourteen years. And I'm like, wow,
I remember the other day when I saw something on
Facebook when it had one of those in the longest
postseason drats all of the Jets at the top, and I'm like, man,
I've been saying ten a decade without the playoffs for

(03:11):
the longest time. That now it's fourteen years. Yeah, right,
Like when it's done. How old is your dog? By dogs?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Two?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
By dogs too? You keep tipping all your dogs to
your dogs. Meanwhile, no, the dog is five. Now We've
been telling people it's two for like three years, like,
but now like, yeah, okay, now it's fourteen years and
no playoffs and likely no playoffs this year, right, so
it's gonna be fifteen years forget about all my forties.
Now I'm getting almost close to the middle of my fifties.
I'm still not have a playoff game.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Well, it's better than after a kid's got a first
birthday and you're still counting months. Yeah, he's eighteen months,
unteen months, he's a year and a half.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah, he's seventy six months, he's one hundred and forty
two months. He's two hundred and seventy six months now,
and things are going.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Really still going.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Now he's reading out of forty seven.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
From Shoot Your Shot, Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey to the
biggest lesson or the biggest thing to learn from this
outside of what we said last at which was, hey,
shoot your shot because you never know. Right now, First
of all, I think sports talk are we the only
ones that sometimes call it the Travis Kelsey Taylor Swift engagement?
Everybody else? Isn't it the Taylor Swift Travis Kelsey engagement?

(04:16):
But sports like sports is a Travis Kelsey's our guys,
So he said his name first, Yeah, yeah, Travis Kelsey,
Taylor Swift. No, you say Taylor Swift name? Yeah he is. Okay, Well,
he's a Hall of famer in shooting a shot. He
will be a Hall of Famer in the.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
So we we give him the respect he deserves. You
guys got a disrespect. The picture of the groomsmen were
released earlier.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yes, I saw all four referees, including Carl Cheffer's all
of them. Uh, okay, hall of famer Travis Kelsey more
impressive his career or that he's going to marry Taylor
Swift more impressive. One of the best tight end careers
in the history of the game.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Relative to all other tight ends. But for him, but really,
you know not, No, it's it's the Taylor Swift.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, it trumps at all. Yeah, yeah, I agree, we
see it's a global events. We've seen great tight end.
We've not seen someone mary Taylor Swift. It's right, the biggest,
the biggest story.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
There's a lot of people that are mad, like thirty
something year old women like there's a whole support group
for each other. Now that's starting to prop up, going
you know, we lost, we lost Taylor Swift.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
So you think it turns on on Travis Kelsey. Oh,
now she's marrying Travis and now things are gonna be.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Or people are saying, okay, now you.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Know their songs are no good. Since I don't know
about being the gym teacher in the English teacher, I
don't know what getting.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
In this album. If it's all happy and there's no
hate messages, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean it's it's
a flop. It's going back to singing about Tim McGraw.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
It's a flop. It's too happy. There's no drama. Next,
give me something new.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
It's a undred and eighty degrees from where you've been.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Now, look, this is something that when this happened today,
this is kind of the the final feather in the
cap of something that stars across the country. Right, no
matter what, you're a star in football baseball, basketball, your
recording star, you're a television star, your movie star, your
YouTube's or whatever it is, is that to say, look

(06:18):
at where we are star, whether you're Jake Paul or
not on YouTube. But just when you think about the
biggest stars in the world, right, I always say one
thing about this. You talk about celebrities, Yes, do they
have a great life. Yes, it's awesome. They have a life,
They're rich, they have they have everything that you you
know that you would want, but you know that you
don't have. But the one thing that they do not
have is they have zero privacy. They have zero ability

(06:41):
to go to a store to buy peanuts. They have
zero ability to go to the movies. They have zerobility
to go to the car shop to pick up their car.
They have zerobility to have freedom of where I can
just go and and do what I ever want to.
Because if you're famous, people know who you are. In
a store any but right away they know they find you.
I'm being in a Target three years ago and Trevor

(07:04):
Ariza was in there, and I walked back past the
men's and there was already people on the phone. Dude, Trevor,
Resa's here, Trevor Ariza is here. I'm like, oh my god, dude,
this is Trevor and Trevor Resa Target. I'm like, Trevor
like that. That's the one thing that I really do
get that that celebrities have such a difficulty with that
I feel bad for because they have no prides. Why, Hey,
well you have to live on in your on your

(07:24):
own estate, because you can't really go out. You have
to only be friends with people who are other stars
because people want stuff from you. They all want to
get you. Hey, here's a script I wrote, or can
you get me in your next movie? But those people
are still getting in the building. The thing that gets
me is that in this world where we know everything
about everyone, for Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift, there have

(07:48):
been in the entire timeline of their relationship, which goes
back to when they first started dating went Oh, by
the way, they had kind of started dating before she
went to his football game. Right when she went to
the we thought, oh, this is them meeting for the front. No,
they've already been on dates, right ye. The fact that
they've been able to be such a public couple yet
keep everything about their relationship private and only let us

(08:13):
know what they want us to know. That is an
incredible achievement. This is what every star on the planet
would want. I want the ability to be able to
be public, to have my public profile, and to only
have out there what I want out there. No videos
that get put out there that are embarrassing, no stories

(08:34):
that get leaked. Everybody I trust keep stuff quiet. And
and the biggest thing in this apparently they got engaged
two weeks ago, and it's now we're they're finding out now.
They put the pictures out now, which is when you
find out about relationships. They got engaged two weeks ago.
Nobody leaked it, nobody knew. This doesn't happen in the
world of entertainment and the world of celebrities does not happen.

(08:55):
Yet every single Taylor Swift Travis Kelcey news I that's
come out has come out controlled by them. It's either
Travis Kelcey on the podcast. It's a very public moment
that they have. Even after the Super Bowl right when
they won two years ago, and the cameras are right
in Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swiss face and they're talking
to each other and they're looking into each other's eyes,
and they're saying things to each other like you knew

(09:16):
that stuff was rehearsed. Nobody, neither of them is saying
I love you, I love you this it's oh my goodness,
I'm so proud of you. Oh I'm so happy if you.
They both knew how to talk in that moment when
they're celebrating the Super Bowl, which is like all of
eight minutes old. Like that is something that I can't
get over. How they've been able to control the entirety
of their relationship from the beginning all the way to

(09:37):
their engagement.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Yeah, I trust. I mean, the curiosity would be I'd
love the behind the scenes of what the off season was. Right,
were you abroad or were you just hunkered down somewhere
right in terms of, you know, being able to escape
the wandering eye of the paparazzo. Right, they're on your
tail and they recognize how lucrative it is, So you know,

(09:58):
were you did you have to be? Because we've certainly
talked to folks to your point about Trevor Resa trying
to do a target run of trying to go to
the movies and having to build what became in vogue
many years ago across the NFL were guys putting in
those mini theaters in their houses and then they'd rotate
and and you'd have a catering service come in and

(10:19):
you'd take care of it because you couldn't go out.
And you'd say, well, that doesn't make any sense, or yeah,
there's six seven guys and in a an NFL city,
they're going to be seen. We see it with college
athletes all the time, right, So yeah, it's it's an impressive,
impressive thing to keep all of these details down. I mean,
you can obfuscate things and misdirect folks by releasing an

(10:42):
album and then re releasing that album two days later
with a different cover and different colored vinyl, and then
doing it again two days later. She's she's like the
master of all of that. She's gotten into my pocket
and way too many times in the last two to
three weeks.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
But all that to say, I.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Mean that means you've got a very good, tight knit circle.
And I gotta imagine that before these pictures, it probably
was a group text that went out about three minutes prior,
and anybody that wasn't part of I don't know A
fifteen to twenty person circle you suddenly found out.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
I mean everybody. The one thing that gets out of
control for celebrities is being unable to control the message. Sure,
and that's something that happens. There's a picture gets out,
I say something on social media and it gets construed
another way, whatever it is. Look at the look at
this crazy ass Sidney Sweeney thing that's gone on the
last couple of weeks, right Like, how stupid is that?

(11:41):
But this shows you that in this world that's impossible that.
But they've been able to control for two and a
half years. They have controlled the message. If I'm Brad
Pitt or Angelina, Joe Lee or Jenniferann, I go, how
did you do it? Who are you taught? Are you hiring?
Who are the people you have hired? Who are the
people you have working with you? How have you done
this that there's been no leaks, no drama. Look what

(12:01):
they did to poor affleck All the guy I wanted
was a cup of coffee, looked a little sad, looked
a little tired. Bam exit out about a Fresca exit
swollen down the Jason Smith Show with my best friend
Mike Carmen. I'm telling you. That's something to really be
envious about, whether you love or hate them. They can
control that message unlike anybody I've ever seen. She'd be

(12:22):
nowhere without Travis. Uh yeah, No, you're probably right. We
have a recording career. She be putting out the best
of albums to satisfy a contract. Here's another live album.
Here's a live album, Taylor Comes Alive three Coming up next.
Jason Cole stops by NFL Inside or Extraordinary Breakdown, Cut
Down Days, What's next for some quarterback battles, Cowboys and more.

(16:42):

You can check him out on the thirty third team.
He is on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. It
is the aforementioned j Cole. J Cole, Where were you
when you learned that Travis and Taylor were engaged?

Speaker 4 (16:58):
I was sitting the kitchen table and I I started
to tear up. It was, yeah, this is the day
I've been waiting for. Did you is this and the
new albums coming out? Uh?

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Huh?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
I just you know the season's about to start, like
it just how does it get any better than this?
When you have this combo the things happening, it's like
it's like it's it's it's a golden triangle, Let's put
it that way.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
So you got a phone call from Jim Porter, the
guy that runs the Pro Football Hall of Fame, to
tell you that right like that was? Was that him saying,
put Travis Kelcey in on the first ballot when he's
when he's up in seven years?

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Actually, actually he texted me right away.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Okay, well, good h Could you put Travis Kelcey in
the Hall of Fame? Let's say he had a Jeremy
Rutgert type career, right, Let's say he had.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
That cood Jeremy you said, Jeremy Renner.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
No, no, no, Jeremy Ruckert. Guy, already he was Hawkeye,
the worst of the Avengers. Hey, hey, I'm a bow
an hour away from being Hawkeye. If he had just
an okay, average NFL career, could you put him in
the Hall of Fame strictly from marrying Taylor Swift?

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Oh? Absolutely, okay, Yeah, that's entertainment value and even and
even more impressive if he was just a guy. Well,
if he's just a jag, isn't it isn't it more
impressive that he got the girl than if he's, you know,
a superstar, Like the superstar thing overcomes so much and

(18:39):
it puts him almost on a my s not even clothes,
but sort of on the same.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Yeah, and the bust could be him with that bucket
hat and her like both of them would be on
the bust. He would be both of their heads on
the bust. No, just her, okay, alright.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
More importantly though, over under seven.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
She's gonna she's going in the Hall of Fame as
a fan, and we're gonna have one of those. The
bust will be of her standing in this in the
luxury suite with everybody else.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Oh so she goes in instead of one of those
costume guys this year.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Okay, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
The costume guys, the costume guys, and they're.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Gonna be pissed. Wow, does she get in over darth Rader?
I mean, you gotta put darth Rader in first, don't you?

Speaker 4 (19:32):
And you're you guys got so much, so much interference.
I can't understand what that question was. What was it again?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
I said, don't you have to put darth Rader in
first ahead of Taylor Swift?

Speaker 4 (19:44):
That's great? Like, yeah, that's so great, Taylor, Taylor and
darth Rader. They should go in together because you can
rhyme them.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
That would be the best way because.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Since their rivals, since their rivals, it adds to the
fan head, right, you got the Raiders Chiefs rivalry and
it's Taylor and Darth Raider. That's that's fantastic to put
those in together. Yes, go ahead, because you go along.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Well, that Chiefs guy was going to go in until
you know he was a thief.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
The guy who well, the guy who's the Chiefs, the
guy that Andy Reid look alike.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah, he's a good he's a good one too.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Yeah. I think it's I think she should go in
with the Andy Reid lookalike, with the guy with the
guy with the head sight and the whole thing. Yeah,
that's what we should do. All right.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
That's see, this is this is that's Hall of Fame worthy.
These are not very good fans.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Let me just say this, this is what Jim Porter
really wants, really really wants that.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Listen, we're gonna rebrand the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Okay, just so you know this is what's going This
is who's going to go in imagined. Could you imagine
if they announced that when when Dravis Kelsey goes and
she's going to be there, do you know how many
tickets will be sold to that ceremony that will be
purchased by fourteen to eighteen year old girls.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
I'd make it a pay per view event.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Jacob play that place, well, he's sold out twice over
and they will take over the entire city of Campton.
That's uh, it's gonna be Coreat.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
There's gonna be a concert before. Are you kidding? There'll
be a concert going into the ceremony.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
It'll be It'll be completely jammed for three days because
the girls will never leave. They'll just be one siting
after another. She was no, wait a.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Minute, wait, Patten Ready, Ready, Ready, swift Stock boom pat
and patent pending, patent pending, swift Stock. Think about that.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Huh, that's kind of like every concert event.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
The mayonnaise in the tuna fish.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Yeah, nicely done, call starkissed. So let's stay with the
music stuff. Two out of three eighth bad. Mclauren and
Hendrickson are on. How many games does Michael Parsons miss?

Speaker 4 (22:04):
Oh yeah, there's a point which I don't know that
he ever plays for them again. I think that there's
like you start to read the body language a little
bit in this one, and how much Jerry like Jerry's
really made this a war with Mulagetta, his agent and

(22:29):
in a de facto way with Micah and I've never
seen a player lay on a table during the middle
of the game, even a preseason games. It could have
been bad nachos, you know, like David Letterman talked about
that's when you know the bad pregame nachos once there
was that that and earlier in the week there was

(22:52):
the picture of him sitting in the end zone all
by himself during.

Speaker 8 (22:56):
Practiceah parsons all where you want to hear the rest
of development Christmas time is yeah, sure, Wow.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
There's doing a lot of singing here, a lot of
this is a musical hour with Smith and Arman. Now
I I just there's this weird, weird feeling I get
about how this negotiation is going is it's not it's
it's gone so far beyond money that really is a

(23:31):
respect factor. And you've heard a couple of candidates for
the nfl p A talk about like de Wael Reeves
did it. Matt Schaud talked about last week where it's
you know, it's a real thing where the the union
should be stepping in on this one and they're not.
And I know that the penalties are not very significant.

(23:53):
And Mike Florio has written about that, and I, you know,
and I've tweeted about it quite a bit too. He's
Jery has gone so far over the line in talking
about how well, you know, I negotiated with this with
the player, but that's just so wrong and it's such
a violation of what the player has wanted to have

(24:13):
done that I think that it's like it's different from
the other ones. The other ones were all sort of
a charade where you know, the guy who was going
to get paid at the end. This one has become
a real battle, and it just feels different than you know.
It feels different than the DAK negotiation, feels different Ceedee Lamb,

(24:34):
feels different than des Brian, it feels different than you know,
all the other ones that you know they waited too
long and we've talked about how you know they had
to pay too much because of it. This one feels like,
I don't know that there's a way to recover from
this one. Now, you can, you can patch all things,
All things can be solved with money, but man, like Micah,

(24:57):
the feeling you get from Mike is that this is
not like, this isn't this, this is gone above and beyond,
you know.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
And That's the thing is when this first came out,
I said this was different because from Michah Parsons to
go on social media and look, gen Z loves social media.
They're beholding to it. Something said on social media is
the Bible. And for him to say I no longer
want to be here and detail the wrongs that he
said had been done to him by Jerry Jones to

(25:26):
him and his agent, I said, this is not gonna
be so Jerry Jones thinks, oh, this is fine, I'll
get it done. I'm not worried. I've done this many
times before.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Not, you know, not every dude is the same. And
Michah Parsons clearly this is it was personal very early.
Like you know, the McLaurin stuff, Yes, that's personal, but
he's been there for years. The Hendrickson was personal. He's
been there for years. Oh, they're gonna get it done. No,
Michaeh Parsons, this was personal, very very early. He's a
different dude from those other guys.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Yes, and he's the best. He's their best player. I
mean he's better than Seed, he's better than Dak. Yeah.
Like it's just again, when when you're doing things that
attack the integrity of the player. And that's what Jerry's

(26:16):
done in this one. He said, you know, we had
a handshake agreement. You know, this is we negotiated this,
and and Parson says like, yeah, we talked a little
bit about money. That's not a negotiation. Talk to my agent.
And then he's like when when Jerry says things like
there's no room for the agent in this anymore. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
I know laws say we have to have the agent involved,
but we don't really have to have him involved, do we.
I'm make a phone call.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Yeah like that. That that's like me saying that Cowboy
Bees should really be part of it, Like like this
is a this is such an imaginary world that you're
to sit there and go no, no, no, no. The
agent's part of this. The agent, you know, the agent's there.

(27:08):
The agent is there on behalf of the player to
protect the player from something going wrong because the player
is not an expert in contracts. And then the player
always has fear that he's going to be tricked in
a negotiation. And this is Jerry Jones saying, you have
to negotiate with me, no matter what. In other words, like,

(27:31):
even if you don't trust me and you think I'm
going to trick you, you're going to do this, Like
it is such a deep violation of trust and the
way that you're supposed to do negotiations that I do
think that there's a point where it's unrecoverable and we
might have reached that. The body language makes me really think, yeah,

(27:52):
this one's done. Like the kid just does not want
to be there under any circumstances. Because you see holdouts
all the time, and guys are standing on for holdens
as we like to call him right now, and the
guys are on, they're stand on the sideline, they're with
there were they're with their teammates. They may not look happy,
but they're part of the whole process, and everybody knows
what the charade is. This one is like Mike is

(28:15):
off by himself, like, yeah, I'm I don't want to
be here. I don't want to be here in any way,
shape or form. And that's the vibe you get on
this one.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. That is
at Jason Cole sixty two. He's got eight hundred words
coming up on thirty third Team on the text he
got from Jim Porter about the engagement of Travis Kelson.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Oh yeah yeah. Porter was like, we're going to make
this thing happen. We're going to have the concert. I
can't wait. Taylor, She's I've got I've even got a
set list for her.

Speaker 1 (28:51):

now to find out what's trending in the wide world
of sports from Chris Purfet CP. What do you got
for us tonight? All right, guys, let's start with NFL

(29:54):
cutdown Day. That happened earlier. The big news Dylan Gabriel
being named the number two brand quarterback by coach Kevin Stefanski,
earning the IYRE. I'm sure of the entire Shudar Sanders
fan club out there, which is apparently very big. Shoulder
can still dress as an emergency third quarterback for the team.
Eagles linebacker n Kobe Dean posted see y'all Week five

(30:15):
on his Instagram, seems to indicate he'll start the season
on the pup list as he recovers from a torn pateller,
and the Chargers are moving running back Naji Harris off
the non football injury roster and to the active roster.

Speaker 9 (30:27):
Harris is recovering from injury sustained from a fireworks accident,
and Texans safety Jimmy Ward was placed on the Commissioner's
exempt list and the Texans moved him to the pup
list as well, he cannot practice our ten games while
on the commissioner's exemp list. This is all stemming from
allegations of a domestic violent civil suit that was revealed
last Thursday US Open. Those moving on from round one

(30:49):
include Yannick Center, Igosuyatik, Sofano Sissipas, Nami Osaka, and Coco Goff,
who all won their sets here on today's Tuesday. Yes,
that is two Tuesday were we must be in Berlin
in baseball.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
If we were in Italy, you'd make my bed just
so you know. Okay, is that from the movie. That's
from Stripes? Oh that's from Stripes. That's from Stripes. Yeah, yeah,
there there was another one. I believe. It was like,
it must it's Wednesday, it must we must be in Berlin.
Sure I was doing Stripes though, because stripe people people
get that. So that's what I didn't get it. No, well,
it's not my fault. You never saw Stripes. That that

(31:24):
is that's a fact.

Speaker 7 (31:25):
Jack.

Speaker 9 (31:26):
Actually, I think I am going to blame you for
not seeing Stripes. You've had all these years to recommend
Stripes to me and you never recommend.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Hey, Chris, you know what you should see Stripes.

Speaker 9 (31:33):
Okay, thank you, I will go, I will go. Look
that up. Stanton hit gion. Carlos Stanton hit a four
hundred and fifty one home run as the Yankees crushed
the Nationals five to one. Mets walk it off against
the Phillies six to five, Twins smack around the Blue
Jays a little bit seven to five to claim their
victory there. Currently, the Dodgers have taken a three to

(31:54):
one lead on the Reds, and the Tigers and Athletics
are tied five runs apiece in the top of the
six Some bad news for the Texans. Uh Nathan Valdi,
who was by all accounts a al Cy Young hopeful.
His season is done. He was diagnosed with a rotator
cuff strain. He is being shut down by the Rangers.
His year is done. Jason and Mike back to you guys.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Thanks bon Chris, appreciate him. Jason Smith, Mike Harmon, Live
from the Fox Sports Radio studios. We got more NFL
on the way. Look cut down day. Everybody's at fifty three.
But coming up next there is a logo that we
have to discuss, a brand new sports logo that we
have to discuss.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
I haven't unveiled mind yet.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
That's isn't it like a picture of your calves. That's
your logo. That's one of them. Yeah, it's that's your's.
Is that a turkey leg?

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (32:44):
No, that's Harmon's calf.

Speaker 7 (32:46):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
I thought that was one of those old English turkey
legs and when like Henry the Eighth was eating it.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
No.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
No, that's Harmon's calf. That's his logo, it's his calf.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Dine out, let's go.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
It's coming up next right here, Jason and Mike. This
is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
You did not help your chances by the whole food
thing of last hour.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
What do you mean what day food was gonna be? Oh,
Mary's working the rest of the week. I think we're okay.
Now we'll be okay. I will say, Mary, you know, eventually,
when I buy food for everybody, if it's if, if
you don't play the songs that I like, and you

(34:08):
just happen to not be here those nights, there's nothing
I can do. Just want to let you know, trying
to manipulate me on national era. I know, I'm just
I'm just simply saying that, Well, there's certain there's certain.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Whoa whoa strong accusations.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Hey, what happened? Well, Jason started buying food and knights.
Mary wasn't working because Mary wouldn't play songs that Jason
liked and played songs that he hated. The judge would say,
I rule in favor of Jason. Why would he do
that the show? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why. Sure. Yeah. Protocol, Yeah, protocol, protocol, protocol,
the right of me. So that's okay, protocol, protocol. Well,

(34:50):
could be nights we have food when he's not here, either,
could happen. You gotta have no show, no food, no show,
but no food exactly. That's tough. That's tough. I like food.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Four hours.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
What are you gonna talk about nothing, Homer, Mister Burns
called and said, if you don't come in tomorrow, don't
bother coming in Monday, four day weekend. So we have
to talk about Taylor Swift. We have to talk about
Caitlin Clark's new logo. Right, this came out late yesterday.
She is the latest Nike athlete to get her own logo.

(35:25):
All right, it came out yet to look, she hasn't
played a lot this year, hopefully coming back soon. At
least she's back at practice now, which is good. But
didn't play tonight, obviously didn't he her tonight. Didn't play tonight.
But she's got her own logo and it's two seas
intertwined with a sea in the middle to make it
look like a sea in the middle. Okay, now I

(35:47):
saw that Caitlin Catherine, Caitlin Kate, Caitlyn, Caitlin Clark, Caitlyn
Caitlin Caitlyn kath cc easy clerk. And I know it's
easy to see something new, see a logo that a

(36:08):
team comes out with. Here's our new third logo. Here's
our new uniforms, easy to go. You hate it? I
can't stand it. Uh but yeah, this logo, I don't
like it. I don't like it, you know why because
it's too eye puzzlely. It looks like one of those
eye puzzles. You have to figure out where you see
it and go, okay, can you find is this an

(36:28):
old lady or a young man?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Like? What? What?

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Depending on the which way you look at it?

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Like I had an eye doctor, guess what I had
to hear tell me when these two images are over
the top of each other.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
That's exactly what I did with this logo. I mean
this is it's it's too eye puzzle where you stare
at this for a long time and do you do
you see the rabbit? Does the rabbit come out at you?
Like it's too eye puzzly? Like I look at it
and go, okay, is this a Is this an eye puzzle?
Because that's really what it looks like. And I can't
believe for Caitlin Clark's logo, this is what you came
up with, right, Like it's is this the simpler things

(37:01):
are always better? And this is it's too much it's like, yeah,
here's two season another sea. I look at it, go
it almost looks like that's you, Hey, we have a
new airline logo, Like that's like an airline logo. Hey,
the seas, the killer seeds, whatever. But mainly I just
feel like it's an iPod, like I'm looking in the
middle of the seas for other shapes. Yeah okay, oh,
like there's a box and and and that's a dog,

(37:23):
and that's a house, and that's a that's a donut,
and that's like that's what I'm doing looking And I
don't want to look at that, but that's the first
one looks at. You go, that's that's gonna be an
iconic Caitlin Clark logo, Like, no, it's not.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
See I started having flashbats to yesteryear because it is
football season, and I started thinking about coming up about
it all new Murder, she wrote. With the CBS I logo,
it is a.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Little bit CBS, but even the CBS eye logo is
much more simpler. It's an eye. Okay, CBS. It's another
that good drum beat.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Watch it onto the scene, yeah yeah, onto the screen
and then it would go into whatever.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
The opening this when I see this, I go, what
what do I think the future this logo is? I go,
these are these are shoes and and things that I
see at Payless, you know, or you know like like
like the shack or the end Ones or the Shack Sneakers,
like you get them at Payless and you know you
can get them really cheap Starberries and everything else. Like
that's where I see like that's where hey, Starberry's got

(38:25):
a statue. Okay, they're gonna have a complete open I
even pay Less is around, like they're gonna have a
complete and open line with Payless. Now, remember that's where
the Shack Sneakers always where. They were Payless for the
longest time. But at least the logo was better. It's
shack dunking. Okay, I get it, Like they tried to
do the whole good logo. They tried to do the
whole jumpman thing. Okay, you gotta keep it so shack dunking.
That's fine. But this, I'm like, yeah, this kind of

(38:47):
looks like it's something that you're gonna see in the
bargain bit at some point really soon.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Yeah, Payless shoe source still there, still there?

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Okay, good, let's their website and the millennials Mike, what
that is? Oh yeah, yeah, okay. Pay Less is a
store where you used to be able to go to
get discount shoes from brands that weren't at the top
of the line. And you can still go there apparently
to this day wide birth Yes, sneakers and dress shoes.
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, but certainly looking

(39:17):
for the discount and budgetary kind of kids. In our twenties,
my wife used to love. She used to get these
flats at Payless that were the most comfortable shoes in
the world. Then they stopped carrying them. She was very upset,
but she used to go to pay Less all the time.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
Yeah, but now the the global economy through the inner webs,
I'm sure she was able to find pretty good substitutes.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Oh yeah, yeah, Now it's easy. Yeah, now it's easy.
Now you just go to Amazon and got I'll give
there's seventeen pair of them. You can get them really easy,
and if they don't fit, you send them back.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
I mean real, but I'm like, that's what this is.
You have the smartest, biggest people in Like I just
keep seeing, you know, going back through air when they
all the big thing to come up with the swoosh
and the logo for the jumpman and for Jordan's I'm
going you have the best and you came up with
a cea another sea and it looks like a see
in the middle. Yes, let's do it. I mean, I

(40:05):
get the general the general reaction is always I hate it,
But I mean I made sure to look at this
for a few minutes before I decided I hated this.
And I really had to decide I hated this after
five minutes because I was again I was looking for
other shapes in there before I decided if I liked
it or not.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
Looked like a puzzle stoll waiting for the squirrel to
pop out, or like amaze, you were supposed to follow
your finger down. What's what's at the endgame?

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Here?

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Like, I don't hate it. I just it's not memorable,
no at all. It's like I'll probably see that on
a pair of shoes people walking around.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
It's like, remember Steph Curry with those all white sneakers that.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
I thought they were sports center like, but the sc
ESPN have.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
Their own sneakers.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Sports center sto didn't work, so they shifted to shoes
coming up next. You're never gonna guess how early one
major sports season is gonna start next year. That's next.
