Let's give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Greetings, welcome in side, Happy Thursday, The Jason Smith Show
with my bes friend Mike Harmon.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Well dressed.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
For over forty years, tire Rack's been open. Customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive,
Shipped fast and free, backed by free road hazard protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tire rack
dot Com is the way tire buying should be. Well,
I know NFL games are four quarters. Yeah, in our
four quarters they are still they still are anybody you may,
(00:59):
you may turn yours off?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Oh yeah, they finish, Yes, they do finish. The Jets
don't start until the fourth quarter, so that that's really
the case. No touchdowns first three game, let's go. But
I want to say this, but I again, and I
would always say this to people in fantasy. The game
is four quarters long, you know, don't don't yell me
and at me on Twitter in the middle of the
second quarter, going, my guy, you told me to play
(01:21):
was terrible. Hey, you know what I want Jackson Smith
the jig, but to get a target too. But I
gotta say this right now. The NFL owes us a
complete and total apology for putting the Cardinals on Thursday
Night football. This has been absolutely abysmal. From Kyler Murray,
from Marvin Harrison Junior, the play calling like this is
(01:43):
I'm watching this going wow, what a big come down
from the other big games we have seen so far
on national TV on Mondays and Thursdays. Like I don't
know what the car I don't know what Kyler Murray
is doing. I don't know what Marvin Harrison Junior is
doing force him into two interceptions. I don't know what
kind of play calling is going on with aeron Zona.
They got a big eight yard run from Trey Benson.
It looks like he's gonna start running people over. Nope,
(02:04):
we're gonna call eighteen pass plays in a low This
has been absolutely terrible. It's been dreadful. No, it's been
on all lngles. I mean you look at it. The
Trey Benson big run.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
It's like, all right, now you can bring back play action,
maybe run the football again.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I don't know. No, you know what we're gonna do
in an uncertain passing attack where it's McBride and a
bunch of guys that probably aren't coming down with the ball.
I'm gonna be kind to start things because eventually the
big baseball back comes out like I'm DeNiro in the Untouchables,
where you're not even gonna try to back down that
(02:41):
defense Seattle coming in flying around, getting after Kyler Murray
on every drop back that you're not trying to create
some kind of balance and get him some time is
just absolutely unconscionable. And then the Marvin Harrison part of.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
It, it's absolutely deplorable because anybody that's just box score
watching at this point, Kyler Murray's got two interceptions.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
No, those are both on Marvin Anderson Junior. Yeah, because
he stopped running, but for a first the second one
he didn't get. The first one he stoppedrunning, stop running.
So that's why the international I mean it look and
part of it is my fault. I understand part we
picked this game last night. Who did I say, we're
gonna have big games tonight? I said, Marvin Harrison take
the over for the forty six and a half yards.
(03:22):
They know they got to get him the football. He
knows after Sunday the two big drops they got to get.
They gotta get him going, and they did. They Yeah. Right,
And Kyle, this is a Kyler Murray game, right. I
love the Cardinals. They're a playoff team. They're gonna be
that that playoff team in the NFC. They were ten
and seventeen. They should be three and oh. All he
had to do is catch a couple of passes and
the and the lucky ass forty nine ers wouldn't be
(03:43):
three and oh but wow, tonight, man, this is this
is this is a poll. This is like, Hey, we're sorry.
We were feeling the heater by putting the Cardinals on
this early in the season on TNF. So we understand this,
we had it. We're sorry. Now there is time to go, right,
there's eight and a half to go in the third quarter,
but it's seventeen three Seahawks, and the Seahawks don't even
feel like they're playing an incredibly great Oh they're not.
(04:04):
You know, they're like they're like when the team plays
the Jets, they go, listen, let's just not make mistakes.
Let's just go out there and execute right, and let's
not go crazy. We'll win this game. Well, that's kind
of how I feel this.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
I went forward on on a fourth down early, didn't
get it. You had the interception where you have a
fumble on that play on the return by Seattle's a
little bit controversial whether he should have been ruled touchdown
or not. Just a comedy of errors. Sam Darnold's made
a couple of big throws, a couple of big plays.
(04:34):
You have the Charbonne touchdown to extend the lead. But
this game, where we were saying, oh, it's it's the
under easy. The over under is down down to thirty seven.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Yeah, but that's why you get it was already it
was already low. It was already it was already no
pushing forty one and a half forty two.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Now we're down to thirty seven as we're midway through
the Third War. But this offense has just been off dreadful.
This game is absolutely awful. Now the from the offal
to what's good in this right, because you really you
got to you got to dig to find it.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
But gotta dig a little deeper. There you go. I
really have enjoyed And it's really crazy because im seeing
the guy who, of course wasn't the answer with us,
but at least he was with four other teams before. Hey,
he's really good. Uh well, Sam darn to work it
out of his system, man, Sam Darnold. Despite the fact
that Jackson Smith Najigba, who is the number two receiver
in fantasy, does not have a target tonight again, okay,
(05:31):
well maybe one of that first ones, yeah, but still,
this is the this is one of the top receivers
in the NFL. He doesn't have a target tonight, right,
which tells you that the game plan was taking him
away from this offense. Make somebody else beat you, right,
And what have we seen tonight? A. J. Barner's got
the big touchdown reception. Elijah Arroyo, who we've heard of
all season long, was gonna be He's gonna be the
(05:52):
next great tight end. They're lining up all over the field.
He's gonna be so amazingly good. Elijah Royal. He's the
next Tony Gonzalez. He's the next great Antonio. You Okay,
he's not catching any passes, but tonight to catch two
passes for forty four yards. He has moved the football around. Again.
He doesn't have the best receiver. They have a top
five NFL receiver this year, doesn't have a target. And
(06:14):
still Donald is fourteen eleven out of fourteen. He is
extremely accurate with the football, even the near misses that
he had, He's putting the football in a great spot. Right,
And this is this runs contrary to how I thought
this would go for Sam because I'll tell you what
I'm wrong. And he says, contrary to how I thought
this would go for Sam Donald because hey, he found
the system in Minnesota. Because we talked about this with
(06:34):
Daniel Jones. Right, there's a system for everyone. Right, if
you're if you're at quarterback, take it in the first round.
There's a reason why you're drafted that high. There's a
reason why teams loved you. There is a system for you.
You just have to find it. And sometimes finding the
system is harder than other times. Daniel Jones found a
system finally with Indianapolis and Sam Darnold, after a bunch
(06:54):
of stops, finally found a system with the Vikings. Well
wait a minute, now, now I'm gonna go hit free agency,
and now, well you really are you sure the system's
gonna work with Seattle? And so far it's worked. He's
not been the lights out fantasy star that he was
last year where all of a sudden, it's hey, where's
Justin Jefferson. I'm gonna throw the ball to him and
that's a sixty yard game. But he has been able
to move the football up and down the field, and
he has been extremely accurate. And this is what I
(07:16):
mean when I say there's systems for everyone. Here's Sam Darnold,
who had horrible luck with the Jets, But then again,
who hasn't bad luck, worse luck with the Carolina Panthers.
Couldn't get on the field with the forty nine ers
when they're trying to figure out their quarterback situations. Brock
Purty really the guy all of this, and now here
he is. Okay, he goes to Minnesota as a backup
and he's never gonna see the field. But JJ McCarthy
gets hurt, he gets thrust in thirty five touchdowns, four
(07:39):
thousand yards passing, signs one hundred and ten million dollar
contract with Seattle, and so far he has looked very good. Again,
not gonna win passing titles with this offense, not gonna
be someone that goes, wow, he's going to be a
big pro bowler. But seeing him play and seeing the
accuracy and the confidence where he knows goes with the
football tonight, that is really something. It really is something
to see him where he can't even target his best receiver.
(08:01):
And this is the nicest going up against pretty good squad,
seven different receivers. With the receptions tonight, the Arroyo thirty
two yarder was a thing of beauty. The run game
is still trying to work out some kinks. Walker with
a big run of twenty one that helps bolster that average.
Tonight he's up to ten for fifty two the touchdown
for Sharbonne. But as that comes together, you'll have more
(08:23):
opportunity down the field, and certainly for Sam Darnold. I
have to ask this question though, when we take came
and we take Baker Mayfield, that was wrong with people
in Carolina. Oh, you know, that's on Adam, that's on
that rule there's reason why Matt rules in Nebraska right now.
But it goes back to like when he went there,
he was gonna be the guy. Right, You're like, no, no,
(08:43):
I don't think he's gotten enough so that hell happens.
He even at a Nebraska pressor even after that game
against Michigan. All right, we got time for one more. Hey,
can you explain how two guys have gone on to
earn some two hundred and fifty million dollars in contracts
and look like stars and you couldn't coax a forward
pass out of them. I'll hang up and listen for
(09:05):
your answer. I mean that should be the big one,
because they had both them, but because it's the Jets,
and it's more fun to laugh at the Jets, because
you know the Jets. It's easy, it's much easier. Yeah,
I'm an expert at it. It's really easy. It's it's
real easy. It's really easy. But really, I mean, Sam
(09:26):
Darnold again again, there's a system for everyone. And I
didn't think this Seattle team, the changes they made in
the off season, we're going to something completely brand new
and we're going to try things out a little differently. Okay,
they have seen all sorts of success this early on,
and they're just a good all around team. It's not
(09:46):
like you can look at most good teams. So what
do you do well? Okay, the Eagles identity last year
with Saquon Barkley trying to find it this year, right,
what are all the best things that? The Bills identity
is Josh Allen doing absolutely everything right. The Ravens identity
is Lamar Jackson doing everything right. The charges I identity
is a is a smash mouth brand of football, justin Herbert,
complementary football running. The Seahawks are just a solid team, right.
(10:08):
Their defense is good enough. It's not great. Their defense
is good enough and clearly tonight against the suckitude of
Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Junior, they're able to keep
control of this game. But they run the football well enough.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Right.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Every year, it's like who's gonna be the running bag?
Zach Charbone is gonna be forty five years old. People
are gonna say, hell, maybe he takes overs the belcal
this year, but spreading the football around, it doesn't matter
the weapons they lost, You see, it was no big
deal to move on from dj metcalf A DK Metcalf
because wow, you're talking with him and smid the jig,
but you're gonna be great. Yeah, No, we don't need it.
We're good. We're good. They have they have hit that
(10:40):
that mode of they're almost kind of like the Steelers
light where yes, they have big players and guys who
are somewhat stars, but they're not the over the top,
super duper stars that that you write, that you write
about all the time and you talk about all the time.
But that's kind of the way they've built their team.
They're physical, they're able, they're able to make the plays
when they need to. They get their courting, they could
functional play from their quarterback like they have just become
(11:03):
a really, really solid team in a really quick span
of the last two years. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
I mean you had big questions when McDonald took over
and whether the job was going to be too big.
Instead they go ten and seven, You make out the
changes in your quarterback room. Gino leaves, you leave, let
DK Metcalf and get him out of the building. So
it's all Jackson Smith and Jigba and you bring in
Cooper cup banking that he still got something left in
(11:28):
the tank. Yeah, it's an interesting kind of switchover as
you say here and look they were a great closing
speed by defensive back from a huge play to Horton,
which would have cashed one of the yeah oh yeah
that I made yesterday.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
He had two steps on the DV like he.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
Closed well, otherwise you got a deep ball touchdown of
this game is even worse.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
So thank you, real man of genius.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
But Clint Kubiak getting the job done with that offense,
It'll get better for Sam Darnold.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Sorry, buddy, X jet now good. Yeah, no, but I'm
used to it. I'm used to seeing a lot of
X jets now good. I mean it's it's not something
that I'm saying, Wow, this is so new and so no,
I'm used to seeing x jet now good. Did you
get more excited?
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Does that make you happier when Gino throws the ball
on fourth and five out of bounds.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
That he still has some jet?
Speaker 3 (12:19):
No?
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Oh no, it always does it always. It always makes
me feel better.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
Plays where it's like, all right, you haven't gotten it
completely out of his system, you know, you know, and.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
That's the thing, and that's like been my whole well,
it's weird to say this but why not? This is
who I am like whenever you just don't. Whenever I
played sports, Right, when I played sports, whether it was
in high school, was little league, whether it was in
Beer league, whether it was in advanced softball leagues or
hockey leagues, whatever it was, Were you better or worse
than Kyler Murray football?
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (12:44):
That was way better way you kid men. I could
throw man Ian in the hands probably rival Marvin Harrison Junior.
I could use a nerf ball.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Right.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
If I could use a nerf, I'm great. If I
have to use the duke, then no, I can't throw
the duke. It's too can't throw the duke, it's too No,
the duke is too bit dude, the duke is you
try to throw the said? Is that my whole philosophy.
And it's weird because I so get the billy bean.
I hate losing more than I like winning. And that's
a difference, right, I hated losing, and when I would play,
(13:14):
it's not so much I wanted to win. I didn't
want you to have it like I played, and it's yeah,
I'm trying to, but I don't want you to win.
And that was my whole thing. And that's like. So
I'm like, hey, if I can't win, I don't want
you to win because the Jets are all with three.
I don't want you to win. Gino Smith, I don't
want you, but I got to tell the truth about
Sam don I want you to win, Sam Donald, No,
but I want you to win. Baker Mayfield made it
(13:34):
personal with the Jets last week, some kind of made
up crap out. Steve Wilks was like, four seasons ago. Yeah, no, but.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
That's why when we play in all these industry things,
we get invited to these fantasy leagues, Like that's why
no trades ever happened. Yeah, because if your team goes
down in shambles and all of a sudden, that.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Guy goes on there Tita. I was like, damn it,
I helped him win. Yeah, yeah, that's how it goes. Yeah.
Exit up about a Fresca exit swallen down the Jason
Smith Show with my best friend Mike. So, still seventeen
to three Seahawks with the lead, they'll be giving the
ball back to the Cardinals. After all this, they are
still somewhat in the game, although you need to score
more than three points. About five minutes ago, in the

It's only Thursday. This is a Friday only song. I
don't care, No, it's it's okay. He he's for a shadowy.
You just pissed people off when you play this song
on a Thursday Oday. Oh no, today's only Thursday. Maybe
you work out a Sunday Thursday schedule. You deal with
Monday through We work Monday through Friday. Most everybuddy works
Monday through Friday. Jason, certain songs you play only on
(17:20):
a Friday. No, you know Who's Marpsett? Oh, Kyler Murray fans?
Speaker 2 (17:25):
You know.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Actually I learned this lesson in college when I was
doing the morning show at the Compass radio station. I
was Jason after it nine the music mixes the difference.
There was a list of songs that was only play
on Friday, only play on Friday, working for the weekend.
A couple other ones that was all about he just
(17:46):
got paid, Johnny Friday, You're in love Friday, I'm in love, Yes,
Johnny Kemp just got paid? Oh wow? How about Ice
Cuban doctor Dre Friday? Uh No, that was that was
I was in college before that happened. I was really
out and called. That was early nineties. I was there. Yes,
this is a little bit later, nineties later. No, no, no, no,
(18:07):
early nineties Friday. Uh no, No, Friday was like ninety six.
Not the movie. Oh the song. Oh oh, I thought
you had no one used a bathroom for another thirty
five minutes. No, no, I know, but I thought you
when you said I jumped to ice Cube and Friday.
I thought you meant the movie the so on Friday, Yeah,
nineteen ninety five, ninety five, Ok, ninety five, here you go, gotcha? Yeah,
(18:31):
you know what, you know we're gonna do Frostburg later on.
We're gonna recreate that scene from Friday. I'm gonna be
on the toilet spraying the spray, and you're gonna be
in the corner. Clot's in your notes, going come on, Pops,
come on my nose staying here. I'm gonna tell you
about something you're gonna be producing Arizona Cardinal Plays. That
might be one of my favorite comedic scenes of all time.
(18:51):
That was pretty good when he called, I ask you
Bastic to go in the bathroom with him. Well, and
he's just sitting on the toilet spraying the spray. We
never fought, little Pops. It's lessons learned, man. I just
since almost set right up there. Would never stand in
front of the pulling guard like and it's not like
he sprays it and he stops like he talks and
they're having a conversation and I'll keeps praying. And he
(19:15):
was just like so small in the corner. Go come on, pop.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
So that's part of the large, you know, discussion about courtesy.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
All right, well, well you get out for peach. I
don't know that I've ever called someone into the bathroom
to talk to them. I know that I've done that.
I don't think I have. I don't think what about Benny. No,
for the of the moment, Hey, we need to have
a conversation. But you know I got the bubble Gunny
bark twice. If you're in maybe you're praying porseling God
(19:46):
and you need a little bit of encouragement. No, I
don't Maybe that's happened, but I don't remember. There's a
long time ago. Jason, why do you have peanut butter
in your back? And stop? Stop? Stop? Whoa over the line?
Smoking line? Smoke over the line? So where do we
sit right now? TNF, Well it's a little closer. The
Cardinals with a fifty seven yard field goal have cut
(20:09):
it to seventeen to six. Jackson Smith and the Jigba
has just caught a pass yes day. Congratulations were there
one reception ten yards? Fantastic end of the third quarter,
his first catch of the night. Hey, the long road
begins with that first step. But I mean, yeah, a
four yard completion, ten yard completion to Benson. You get
a completion to Marvin Harrison Junior. What do you do
(20:30):
on the next play? Hey, let's try a flee flicker. Yeah,
we're finally moving the ball. Yeah, I mean hell, how
many plays are they showing that last drive when Murray
held onto the ball too long and receivers are open.
You know that the one play where three receivers are
open and he just couldn't get to throw the football.
It's like, wow, man, what the hell happened? But then
you put yourself behind the stick. You're at second and
(20:51):
seventeen because Trey McBride can't even pretend to block a guy.
Come one seventeen six, headed to the fourth quarter, the
Seahawks have the football near midfield again, point lead for
Seattle going to the fourth quarter. Time now for the
play of the day. The play a Day of the

As we've talked about this week and again, this week
is way too long for me baseball wise. The stress
every day. I feel like it's the playoff where I'm
just waiting all day for the Mets game to start,
or the Reds or the like I'm waiting all day.
(21:34):
The stress is just immense.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Man.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
This final week of the regular season is way too long.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
You start singing, I'm waiting all day for Sunday night.
Did you wear the high thigh high boots while you
did it?
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Or I was thinking I'm waiting for a start?
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Fuck?
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Okay, but it didn't mean we didn't get not one,
but two incredibly great highlights for Major League Baseball today,
and they get to be the co plays of the day.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
He swings high fly right field, Marte all the way back,
leaps at the wall.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
He takes the biggest play for the field. He saves
the day.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
I saw him after he cut the ball run into
DJ Freedo light. Well does he have it? Does he not?
Speaker 1 (22:33):
That has an outstanding play getting to the wall, scaling
extending yes show Hey golf swan the right center field
put it in for the ball Spurs.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Fifty four his first year with the Dodgers, fifty before
his second year.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
He's matched his own franchise record.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Joe Davis Dodgers TV before that, Red's TV on the call.
Two incredibly large plays to home run number fifty four
for Otani, his second straight year with fifty four home runs.
But look, let's deal with the first one. Okay, when
Marte caught that ball, right, I'm following this game, right,
this is me, this is my life. I'm sweating out
(23:27):
the bleeping Pirates and the Reds, And oh, by the way,
thank you Pittsburgh for doing as much as you can,
nearly sweeping the series. Like I really I thank you
for everything you've done. It's been absolutely fantastic. Took that
giant effort from Nick Lodolo, he caught it done. He
caught that ball like that's a home run in the
ninth inning that would have tied the game, and who
knows what happens after that he goes up over the wall,
and all I'm thinking is the last week, centerfielders made
(23:48):
two incredibly lucky plays to keep the Mets off the scoreboard,
winning games, and the Reds get this play. I'm like, man,
the Reds, this is just this is just destiny for them.
As you started yelling at like it was jkse him.
It's just Spider Man. He's the worst skirts this city
has seen. Mysterio is the real hero and all of
it uh talking about a hot take Mysterio. Yeah, I'm
(24:11):
and I thought the I go, this is gonna play tonight.
Nolan McClain's gonna be terrible. We're gonna gain. The Mets
have to have. We're gonna but Mets win eight five.
They may just sweat have got there, doesn't matter. And
because they had to have tonight, right, if you can't
win when your ace is going, when are you gonna
win again? Right? Because I know Saturday and Sunday they're
gonna go five runs in the first two winnings of
each game. They got to come from behind to win
(24:31):
those games. So they absolutely had to have tonight. But man,
the Red's making a play. And this is what this
week in baseball is all about. Right, I make fun
that it's stressful, and it is way too stressful. Right
this season, the week needs to be to be shorter,
but just having these kind of moments oh, you know,
here's getaway Day for the Reds of the Like if
you saw on the calendar, Hey, get away day three
days before the season ends, Reds and the Pirates, You're like,
(24:53):
how many people are going to that game? One hundred,
one hundred and fifty Red Spy It's a huge deal.
It's a huge deal. And the red stay alive because
pretty much that would have cooked them being out two
game even though they had the tie breaking Now being
two games out with three games left to go, that
probably would have cooked them. And they make that play
that saves it. And then the Dodgers, of course punching
their ticket last night, they punched their ticket further today
(25:15):
with a big win over the Diamondbacks that got out
early back to back home runs from Freeman and Pahz
and then Otani hits one into the pool and that
basically ends the Diamondback season. So now the Dodgers in
the last week have ended the Giant season and have
ended the Diamondbacks. This is a big revenge tour for
the Dodgers the last couple of days.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Bring me my crossbow man as you go through taking
guys down the left right. It's funny as we come
into the Fox Sports radio studios, pull the curtain back,
and our show is beginning. You know, we got the
Thursday night football game on. We had a college football
game on and on. One of our monitors, Frostburg, comes
in and immediately puts on it's the end of a
replay of the Dodgers as they're going into.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
The clubhouse for the celebration and they're showing all the
champagne models and everything.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Like, I'm not sitting here for two hours watching the post.
I watched that, saying in Kershaw earlier. I don't need
to see this.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
Come on, man, put the Mets on a channel for me.
Come on, put the something we got the night. I
know I'm nervous already. I lead off at it for
the ninth inning singles off d As, I'm like, here
we go, but Mes, but but really, the bullpen came
in and did the job well. The three guys that
the Mets can trust came in a pitch more than
a lot of other Rogers and Diaz and that's it.
(26:25):
That's the circle of trust. You're out of the circle
of trust, Greig, You're out of that circle trust. So
I got a third straight year with one hundred loss.
You don't even have a circle wearing this, you know,
you don't even have a circle. You have an octagon.
Maybe your trap is we got some young talent, you know,
and the Birmingham Barons won their league. Yeah, but still, yeah,
there's no circle. You don't even have the chalk to
(26:46):
draw a circle, to have a circle of trust. You
didn't have that, man. Yeah, I'm just being honest. I
got to come on. The jokes there, I'm gonna let
them put up today. I'm just telling you that's what
you have. Terrible, the circle of trust.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Yeah, I'm gonna go and I'll draw the rainbow in
the little Hopscott Mike fun Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Body, it could be a lot worse. You could be
an Arizona Cardinal fan. Well, I mean there's that. Yeah,
at least you have some offense. Things not going well
for the Arizona Cardinals. Let's find out why right now,
as we get to what's trending from someone who's been
called the Dave Roberts of Fox Sports Radio, she wants
to relief picture in every inning for the Dodgers too.
(27:25):
It's many.
Speaker 7 (27:26):
Can you blame him?
Speaker 1 (27:27):
No, not at all.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
Kershaw is coming in yesterday. Of course I did, absolutely,
absolutely done. But I love him Today. Eric Gane will
be in the ninth inshes sports. Yeah right, that's how
it works. You hate your team one day, love him
the next day. Sir Patrick, he does sports. Yeah, Patrick,
he does sports. You know.
Speaker 7 (27:46):
I'm looking forward to seeing what Kershaw can do for
us out of the bullpen.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
And Roki Sasaki, Let's see what happened. He did. He
looked good.
Speaker 7 (27:54):
So it's exciting times ahead because at one point it
did look really dark kind of the way it looks
like right now for the Cardinals because this has been
a snooze fest and it's really been all Seahawks. And
there goes Kenneth Walker with a nice little run as
the Seahawks have the ball, getting closer to the Reds
and oh there, no, it's first and goal now. But
Seahawks are up right now, seventeen to six. It's still
(28:15):
early in the fourth quarter, but it really has been
all Seahawks. Sam Darnold fifteen of twenty one, one hundred
and eighty one yards and one touchdown. Kenneth Walker now
has fourteen carries for seventy four yards for Kyler Murray.
At least now he has one Fantasy point. He is
eighteen of twenty nine with one hundred and sixteen yards.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Is that the two interests exactly?
Speaker 7 (28:38):
The two interceptions, one right off the hands of Marvin
Harrison Junior.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
He needs to be STUDIEDNA, I'm gonna find the guy
in both my leagues. It's starting Kyler Murray this week
saying hey, you want to trade, you get trade?
Speaker 7 (28:49):
You know, I Zach Sharbonay in the end zone. I
see a flag, but I kept Zach Scharbona on my bench.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Why I'm not entire hear you?
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Cla eight count goll might be coming back here.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Yeah, it's hard on a Thursday night to play.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
He was questionable.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
It was just like I wasn't sure. But I don't
know if they're Yeah, it came off, came off your
guy on Jackson Smith and the Jag. But now throw
it to them. Now throw it to them, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (29:14):
Throw it to they They might they might well check
in on baseball. We've got some games going on. Cal
Rawley has not hit a home run yet, but the
Mariners are up on the Rockies right now to zero
bottom of the fourth inning Royals Angels. If you care,
Royals are up three to one bottom of the fourth inning.
But what has wrapped up well? The Tiger snapped their
a game losing streak with the forty two winner of
the Guardians. Cleveland and Detroit are tied again at the
(29:36):
top of the AL Central, and Cleveland owns that tiebreaker.
Yankees beat the White Sox five three, while the Blue
Jays outscored the Red Sox six to one. New York
and Toronto, and Toronto is still tied at the top
of the AL East. The Mets defeated the Cubs eight
to five, so right now New York is a one
game lead on Cincinnati and a two game lead on
Arizona for the final wild card spot in the National League.
But Francisco Lindor, with the home run, becomes the fifth
(29:57):
player this season with a thirty thirty season, the most
in a single season in MLB history, where five players
reached thirty home runs thirty stolen bases.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
This club could grow more.
Speaker 7 (30:07):
On Sunday, Julia Rodriguez needs two stolen bases and pie
Crow Armstrong needs one homer to reach the thirty thirty.
Dawyers clinch the NLS shooting up the Diamondbacks eight zero,
their fourth straight Crown Division and you mentioned the Reds
keep their season alive stealing that home run in the
ninth innen.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Yeah, I was a great My day was off to
a bad start when that happened.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Now, you were just hoping the Pirates would just I.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Mean, that's a nine am game, and I'm like, okay,
that's not I'm going I turned to my wife. I said,
it's not even noon and my day might be shot. Okay,
just so you know, it's not even twelve o'clock yet,
I've already been up for like six hours at that PA,
and I'm on and I'm saying to myself, but am
I really asking for too much? Because I'm like, I'm
asking for the Pirates. Just keep the Reds. I asked
(30:52):
for a little bit too much. But it's okay.
Speaker 7 (30:55):
Hashtag sports back to you.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
By the way, cal Rowley didn't know her, but Gina did.
Jean Gene Gene uh so again, seventeen six Seahawks with
the lead over the Cardinals early in the fourth quarter.
Uh what I love today. And I couldn't believe this.
It was this kind of reaction right. You know, I
get up every day and I do the same thing.
(31:19):
I look make sure the world is still there, see
what's going on. They get to sports, you know sports.
I'm Jason, I do sports, and I see the number
one trending topic on Twitter is Judge and I'm like, okay.
And sometimes it's it's you know, it says trending with
Yankee Sports. Sometimes it's like trending with Scotis and uh yeah,
(31:39):
it's got the right Like, okay, how's it trending with
Scotus and Aaron Boone. They're looking for like Judy. Yeah,
I'm like, what is happening? Like, what's going on? It
could be it was so many it was in the
few hundred thousands Yankee fans so mad about the push
that maybe cal Raley is the al m v P.
Like we had the bit out there finding on social
(32:01):
media on Twitter, Fox Sports Radio out there. Uh look,
Rawley's the MVP. Doesn't mean Judge isn't great because he is. Uh.
Rawley's gonna wind up setting the Ale record for home runs.
He needs three home runs to do it. He's already
had the best season a catcher has ever had in
the history of the game. But Yankee fans. I love
the panic and how much this was the biggest thing
in the world if Aaron Judge doesn't win the MVP.
(32:24):
Because the Yankee fans, they think major League Baseball was
created and plays just so the Yankees have other teams
to play right. That's why Yankee fans Baseball exists of
the Yankees are the teams to play right. That's why
they do. If you've been to the Baseball Hall of Fame,
it actually is perceived like that. Yeah, there's the Yankee wing,
and there's everybody wing, and here's everybody in a very
(32:46):
small wing for everybody else. Hey, he's a Yankee, so
he's the MVP, Like I mean, that's how it goes.
He's a Yankee, gal raw, he's a Marit. He's not
the mvall the rest of the year.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
You need to appeal to all those Yankee fans so
they up beyond induction week.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Man.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
I just love how how bat Banana is crazy that
Yankee fans were today over Aaron Judge potentially not being
the MV. Ready to have some fun so great, you
know me, I've been tracking the odds for us on
the show all the way through when we watched Raleigh
starting to creep up.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
And and look, it doesn't mean that there's not an
argument for Aaron Judge. Unfortunately, when you have this level
of excellence year after year, somebody else, somebody else, you
need narratives, You need something to break through. Right now,
at plus one sixty the implied odds for Aaron Judge
to win your American League MVP thirty eight and a.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Half percent, This is possible. And you want to know why,
why Because we know somebody very well who has an
MVP vote and is going to vote for Judge. H yeah,
this is true, This is true. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And
I und just.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
Love that's the thing, right to vote because he's got
him in a lot of these other categories. And then
you have to decide how much does the well roundedness
come in plus what he does as a catcher, which
I don't think should be discounted, right, we always always
view everything from the offensive lens.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
And also and also look, MVP is not Player of
the year, right, I always say Major League Baseball have
a player of the Year award too, Why not call
it the Hank Aaron Player of the Year Award? Whatever
you want to do. Make it the Hank Aaron Player
of the Year award, and you can have you can
reward the guy with the best season, and then you
have the MVP. Because I'm sorry, but it's different. It's not.
It would be the Player of the Year award instead
(34:28):
of Most Valuable Player. Right, Judge has been real, Judge's
been great. Right, we're splitting hairs between these two.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Stit r Right now you're talking about yesterday one of
eight guys, yes, with a three hundred batting average in
a league that it doesn't matter anymore, even though he
strikes out of time. Think about that batting average on
balls in play. It's astronomical.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Man.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
So I just let yank you if they're so insane. Right,
part of me really wanted to do and I've never
done this, but I'm gonna want to create a whole
bunch of burner accounts. We could do Twitter and just
go back at them and go, your guys stinks. Your
guy stinks he dropped the fly ball in the World Series.
I'm like, can I enjoy that? We should do that?
And I enjoyed on like Friday nights, like I think, hey,
(35:08):
what what did the burner account get back. You know,
I could have done that after watching that bleep in
Red's game today and seeing how it ended. As a boy,
my day could be ruined here. Oh no, no, I'm
gonna do this for a half hour and and and
just I'll get it out of my system and then
I've kind of hit an equilibrium. I'm at zero s
all right, a really bad morning, but boy, it was
fun to really troll all those Yankee fans. No feeling
(35:29):
good now. I don't have lunch. I'm really good about
just finding what becomes the trending thing, seeing what it is,
and going okay, good, noted like Livy done. Why was
Livy done trending skeeves pitch yesterday? Well, because of people
were infatuated with the fact that she was sweating out
(35:50):
is uh yeah his effort, And then the comments started
to flow from there. Yep, oh yeah, I said. Sub
section of society wanted I didn't need to know it
wanted to sweating. I can give you sweating out the Mets.
I'm sweating out the Pirates too. I'm sweating out that
pirates pirates worse than she. But I didn't realize that
was the thing. I guarantee.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Really, that's a really big ut little thing we got
going on. Crazy world, man. Business fluctuations make running your
manufacturing business complex, but staff in your business doesn't have
to be. Let Express Employment Professionals provide the workforce you need.
Go to expresspros dot com to find the location near you.
That's expresspros dot com. Well, coming up next, the biggest
NFL story of the day comes to his courtesy of
(36:30):
a guy who hasn't played since two thousand and eight.
Wait what that's next?
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Right here?
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Trust me, you're gonna want to hear it Jason and
Mike Fox.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven

Visit UMGC dot edu. That's UMGC dot edu. Well, if
(37:12):
you had Week four for Marvin Harrison Junior's second touchdown
of the season, congratulations, yay a game battery. The Cardinals
have been playing terribly. It's now a one score game.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Marvin Harrison Junior catches a
touchdown from Kyler Murray immediately starts crying. Uh, like, I
(37:35):
caught a pass. I caught a pass. Come at least
two passes. It's been rough. Come on, it's been rough.
It's been rough. Uh So now it is a one
score game. Seahawks lead the Cardinals twenty to thirteen. Again,
still some time left here, so Seahawks getting the football back,
but the Cardinals showing a little bit of life here
in the fourth quarter. Get the Murray.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
I gave you the over on his rushing yards. We've
at least hit that. Yeah, she's at forty one.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Yeah, No, we're good. And I don't think any fealeder Yeah,
I don't think you're worry worry about a Cardinals deal.
But you never know.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
You never know.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
If they rule a bunch of sacks, he's probably gonna
take it. It's Thursday night, You never never can. I
need one more catch from Marvin Harrison Junior to get
to the forty six and a half.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Yeah that's not true. So I just need I need
them to stop the Seahawks here, get the ball back
and just we're basically one catch, just need one catch.
That's all I need. Boy, what a game this has been. Wait,
look at it's close late. Yeah, that's all we ask
on Thursday night, Right, it's closely, that's all we need.
And I gotta give Harrison Junior credit. Here Kyler Murray
puts it up, he goes and gets it. Yeah, I'm
(38:38):
over the defender. Yeah, man, that's why you drafted him
fourth Overhall to make that play. Goes both hands strong.
So we'll have more in this game coming up in
about ten minutes. But the biggest NFL story of the
day today comes to this courtesy of a guy that
hasn't played since two thousand and eight, that that facts
show that long. Yeah no, but showing out Alexander Sweet
(39:01):
Shawn Alexander on Kay Adams show up in Adams earlier today,
told Kay Adams he and his wife are expecting their
second third two one three, six, three four five hes
going six seven, going eight nine, going twelve thirteen teen, fourteen, fourteen.
(39:25):
He said, fourteen is in her belly sewn. Alexander and
his wife are expecting their fourteenth child fourteen fourteen. That's
a lot of kids fourteen. Now forget to forget the
whole because I've heard of me he and Philip Rivers. Man,
they're gonna have scrimmage. Well that was a fun thing
was when that came up today, it was it was
Shawn Alexander trending with Philip Rivers and it was here's
(39:47):
Philip Rivers ten kids. I'm like, wow, that's ay, two
of them. They have a whole roster, a whole base
have a whole baseball. Actually have footage audio here we
did only here, okay, exclusive only here. I'm a little afraid,
all right, a Philip Rivers walking into the bedroom tonight.
Really okay. But between the two of them, he yelled,
(40:10):
it's game day. They have twenty four children, you know.
And and here's the thing is that there's all the
cliched stuff as all I do. Can't believe how tired
they are. I can't believe how that you have energy
for that. I can't believe it. But I just think,
you know, I don't think about that. I think, what
is a day like in a house? And it's a
(40:30):
huge house, I'm sure because it's Sewan Alexander and even
he had a great career, made a lot of money,
but like, what is a day like in the house
with fourteen kids that all have to get places and
go some play Meum, I feel like it's like a
the house has to be like a like like a
like in taxi, like the cab company. All right, you're
going anywhere driving here, We're going here, we're going here,
We're doing this, We're going here. Like I don't know,
(40:51):
do they own their own uber? Do they own their
own waymo? I mean I can't. I can't imagine what
a daily fourteen children, how say is like think of
that food bill? Oh, I mean you're prepping meals constantly.
There are some of them that you don't know their name.
Uh well yeah that's dude.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
The Antonio Camart thing when he was charged. Yeah uh yeah, no,
hey you were yeah, you were great. You like a bud.
It's like, how do you chief Sporto keep going down
all of them? I don't get the day. I also
and I also don't. I also don't get how you
you know, you carved out enough time not just being tired,
but how do you have time for fourteen kids?
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Like?
Speaker 1 (41:33):
No, I mean that part of it's easy. Yeah, no,
that part, but I mean, how do you have time
to just Okay, we're gonna man, we can do the math.
I'm gonna I'm gonna make sure I spend time with
all that. I mean, there's it's impossible.
Speaker 4 (41:43):
No, I mean, now you're having uh you build some
stadium seating and now we're gonna read.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
We're up. I hope everybody likes. We're all gonna watch
the same show tonight, all fourteen of you. Okay, that's great.
Good family should watch read. I mean, and how that
to get How is that not a reality show? It's
a good question, John Alexander fourteen kids all right, thirteen
with fourteen on the way, Like, how is that not
a reality show? Some next level stuff though, Exit outs Man,
(42:13):
Exit Swollen Dome, the Jason Smith for them. Congratulations, that's
one of my favorite guys. Harmon. Yeah, we got more
big NFL stuff coming up next, including are things getting
closer in the Thursday Night Game Fox Fox Sports Radio,
The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Well dressed, Coboat.
Speaker 1 (42:37):

The Seahawks take advantage of a big special team's gaff
by the Cardinals. Ryland's kickoff lands outside the kicking zone,
(42:58):
so with twenty eight seconds left go in a tie game,
the Seahawks take over at their own forty A big
back shoulder fade to Jackson Smith the jig but puts
the Seahawks in field goal range, and Jason Myers wins
it from fifty two yards out, joining us now to
break it all down. Enoughel on Fox Insider Extraordinary, Jay Glazer,
Jay Happy Thursday. Man, how's it going doing?
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Great? Man? Who thought we'd be talking about kickers so
much in the game like this because Myers obviously missed
the first one, and then the Cardinals kicker kind of
botches that kickoff and Meyer comes up big there. But man,
what a what a game? And this is I didn't
know that until today. John Schneider told me if they
won it's his one hundred and fiftieth victory because he
(43:41):
joined the Seahawks. Wow there you go, Wow, nugget there.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
That's pretty We saw that ISO of him during the game. Jay,
it's like had nobody around him. It's like he didn't you.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Didn't want to be bout.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
But that's not you know.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
The thing that gets me Jay in this is that
obviously coming into the seat him, Hey was Sam Darnold's
still going to be good changing teams? Did he find
the right offense in Minnesota? And I just can't get
over how he has fit in, how accurate he is
with the football, how how confident he is, Like I
didn't think he would step right in, and he has
become an extremely solid quarterback for the team that's just
(44:17):
solid all around.
Speaker 3 (44:19):
And look, Cameral O'Connell deserves a ton of credit for that,
but also so does Kyle Shanahan. Like Kyle, you know,
you look at what you know he does, and look
what like Kyle's doing with Mac Jones right now, right,
and you just get the ball out of those guys'
hands so much quicker and teaching them to do that.
And also guys, look at Baker Mayfield right now, Baker
worked with Saw McVay and all of a sudden he
became a different kind of guy. So I think when
(44:39):
you get with these quarterback developers and you know, you
have there's one thing about the coaches who can call plays,
and there's another thing about coaches who could develop quarterbacks.
There's not too many of them in the league. Sew
mvay's one, Kyle Shanahan's won, Kevin O'Connell is one. But yeah,
you kind of looked at you know, Sam, and you're like, oh,
I was just this a product of because Kevin O'Connell's
(45:03):
so good at what he does and Sam Baker, Sam
Sam Baker, Uh Donald showing that. No, he kind of
he I think the page and the light, the page change,
the light went on when he was with Kyle, and
he just took it round with it and learned an
awful lot with Kevin O'Connell. And I don't think it's
any looking.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Back truly, just about excizing bits of the Jets that
are in yet over time.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Jay is really what I think it comes down to.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Yeah, I'm sorry, but if you proct you're Gino Smith
or you're Sam Donald, it's like yeah, sorry.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
Bit by bit, you slumped it off with every step
on the other side. I think as a collective NFL community,
we were all wondering when we were going to see
Marvin Harrison make a catchy himself in the second half.
Speaker 3 (45:47):
How emotional was that down your lessening? Oh my gosh,
please because you like you feel for it. Listen, I
talk so much guys right about the six inches between
our ear and I talk about the mental health, and
I talk about the performance. I talk how do you
get the most out of people? But also when there's
a hiccup in those situations between your ears, it's so
hard for guys to be able to put it aside
(46:08):
and get through it. You know, you've got to the
emotional to play this game to a certain extent. But man,
those emotions can help you, and they can really get
in your way and the team. Like the first couple
of weeks, they're you know, just getting his way, just
he was. You saw a couple of times today, a
couple of plays where he was just either he ran
the wrong route or he just stopped, or it just
(46:29):
didn't seem like he was all kind of there of Like, man,
one of my play wasn't sure right, And I don't
know what led to it, whether that's other sure, it
was just down himself or I tell the combination of
both and to see and get that touchdown, and you know,
you saw the emotions. He just went that on one knee.
He's like almost like yeah, thank you God. It's like
(46:54):
a baseball player at the yips. And it's like, you
get over it, because after that, they kept going to
him and credit to them. They're like, oh, hey, we're
gonna keep going. And now we saw that. Now we're
gonna keep food between your feed and your feed you
and two of the big catches.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
After that, you know, it's funny. I see that and
hear you're talking about and I think back to your
bit on NFL on Fox Sunday about your stuff with
Drew Brees about how trying to be great is really lonely.
You talk about the six inches between your between your ears.
It's really lonely up there.
Speaker 3 (47:20):
Yeah, listen, the I always tell my guys man, the
blueprint for greatness is the secret. It's really not a secret. Finally,
who's the best isn't do more than them? But see,
it's the hours you put in the work that no
one's watching. That's really what it is, right, And well, guys,
we'll do the work when you know, cameras on this that.
But those hours and hours and hours and you know, yeah,
(47:42):
that true briest thing guy is incredible because and for
people who didn't see it, you go to retell.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
The strayer, Yeah, go ahead, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (47:49):
Okay, people didn't see it. So Sean Payton and I
are down in New Orleans on a Friday night. It's
like nine thirty nine five a night something like that,
and Sean forgotten something back of the office. So he's like, oh,
we gotta go back in the office. I thought it
was forty five minutes away. Hey, Sean and I are inebriated,
so it seemed like forty five minutes, I guess. But
(48:09):
people were like, it's not forty five, it's twenty five.
I'm like, all right, Twitter, shut the hell up. Whatever
it's you know. The opponents story is we showed up
to the Sansa Soude around ten o'clock at night. Now,
mind you, everyone else is gone that day, but probably
two two thirty something like that. They have a quick
practice in the morning, lunch and guys are gone Tuesday
at ten o'clock. He didn't know we were coming back. And
(48:32):
we come in the building. There's one light off. It's
the tight ends room. Wasn't in the quarterback room, tight
ends room, and there's Jew Shipp himself watching film, taking
all these notes, and I'm like, dude, what are you
doing here? And he just lifts up me and he
kind of shruggs and he goes Sometimes trying to be
great is lonely. And I'm like, dude, I'm so stealing
that from you. I have. I wrote about it and
(48:53):
breaka little facts actually, but yes, it's those hours and
hours and hours. So when the bad times do hit you,
you're able to fall back on your training. You know,
whenever people go through slumps or whatever. Things you're like,
you know, inside a cage for always telling guys like man,
things aren't going well, Just man, just fall back on
(49:15):
your training. You've already done this, You've already done the work.
Just lean into it. And that's where you know a
guy like Marvin Harrison, I know he works, but man, again,
the power of that six inches between your ears, when
it gets in the way, they can get in the
way of a.
Speaker 4 (49:30):
Lot well, one of the big tests we'll see this week.
Week four, Brian Dable makes the change. Jackson Dark going
to get the start for the Giants. Uh, tough task
right away against these Los Angeles Chargers come in three.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
And uh, certainly I was like, I was, like, I
thought you liked Jackson Dark.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
Well, Jay after the Saints, he's got you know, he's
got the Eagles twice as there's not a real set
out of there, no.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
No, but but you know, look, obviously they looking at
who's gonna give us the biggest I think the biggest
chance for consistency. One thing of Russell does not give
you his consistency. And you know what, here's what happened
to Russell on Pittsburgh. He was doing fine when he
was listening to what you know, Arthur Smith wanted him
to do. And then I think Russell bought into his
(50:18):
headlines and he all of a sudden wanted to let
Russ cook and like, don't let Russ cook. Man, just
just do what they asked, don't do anything else but that.
And he wants to let Russ cook. And you know,
he has a lot of people over the years, him
and his crew and man, they get a lot of
media people to buy into all stuff and let Russ
(50:40):
cook and oh he has never gotten an MVP vote
and all that garbage, and just do what the coaches want.
And it worked last year with Pittsburgh. It was fine
until he decided not to until he wanted to do more.
And I'm guaranteed it's going on with the Giants too,
like he worked well against Dallas and also and he's like,
(51:00):
all right, no, I'm gonna show what I can do.
You don't have you show what you could do by
doing what they want. And that's it. And yeah, I
listen if you can't make it work with uh, Champ Payton, fight, Tomlin, Art,
the Smith, finding all who else am I missing there?
(51:22):
But and obviously the NP Carroll, I think Ruff needs
to look at it and go he needs to look
inside himself and go, Okay, how was I the problem?
Like you have all these coaches? Oh and uh even
before Champ Payton, Look, you gotta look inside yourself and go,
where was I the issue? Because there's four different places
(51:44):
now will last four? I have not succeeded. So if
I want to, I want to do well, I've got
to really self scout and go where could I change?
But he hasn't work that. I think he could do it,
but he needs to, you know, I think take a
harsh look at him off and go everything I've done
the past when I was successful early, that was a
different Russell Wilson. So what hasn't worked here that I
(52:07):
keep doing? And can I check my ego to make
sure that I can make those changes? I don't see
it happening because I don't think Russ looks at it
like he's the issue. But I don't know if it
was me. Man, if I couldn't get a go in
there with tem Payton and my gobblin and now By
(52:28):
and Dave all, I've got to look inside myself and go, Okay,
it can't be those three guys. But you know what
I mean, it can't be everybody else. It can't always
be everybody else. And that's also part of being a
pro is hey, when I'm the issue? How do I
get out of this? What do I do? How do
I work out of this? How do I work myself
(52:49):
out of it? So you know, I was, yeah, there's
other stuff there also again with Russ, so it's kind
of like, you know, I'm sure they didn't want Jackson yet,
which is heart schedule coming up. But also, hey, man, listen,
justin Herbert's first game ever he had twenty seconds ago
and he's playing the Chiefs. They like, hey, Fira, Taylor
(53:11):
punctured a lung. Yeah with an ejection, go in, Oh
you're in and it's worked out okay for him. Hey.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
Lastly, Jay, I know how much you're on top of
and I you know you've talked about your life is
an inside everything you do. But I gotta did you
know that Sewn Alexander was going to have his fourteenth kid?
Him and his wife like Okay. When I heard that
they say he's got gonna have fourteen kids. I can't
get over that.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
There are so many things I can say right now,
and you know what, I don't want to be that inside.
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
He's on Twitter at Jake Lazier, that is, at Jay
Glazer NFL on Foxy on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (53:53):
When there's like a seven eleven near his house right.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
Like something man, that is I don't know. That's the
walk off Jay.
Speaker 3 (54:02):
I told I was gonna get myself in trouble.
Speaker 1 (54:05):
Be good, buddy, We'll talk to you next week, you Wizary,
be good Buddy Man again. Only show. Jay Lazer comes
on here Fox Sports right over that Holy Show. He
comes on, right. That was awesome. Me really, I'm not
gonna say anything. Nope, nope, nope, nope for getting me, nope,
not gonna do it, Not gonna do it.
