content out for you every single night. A big night
in college football, the big upset Florida State going down
at the hands of Virginia and I mean it, Mike,

(01:11):
that that field rush I've seen it now watching it
live was insane because I knew they were ready to
rush right away.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
They was ready to rush the fields. It's midway through
the fourth quarter. But just the fact that, like.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
The I don't even know if the play is complete,
the final fourth down heave by Castallanos cast a lotles
with a deep throat to the left side of the field,
and that's out of here, and they all of a
sudden they're off the field Like that really was an
all That was one of the all time great field rushes.
I know, I've seen a faster one in college football.
I might be the best one I've ever seen.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Yeah, that was an impressive mobilization of the student body
to get get to the field. You're just overwhelmed. I mean,
trying to keep that secure, make sure the players get
off the field, both teams securely, that's an arduous task.
For the way that that crowd descended, I mean, the

(02:05):
the thirst to get onto the field and celebrate was
something next level. We should all aspire to have something
in our day that drives us to that level of achievement. Yeah,
I mean I want to be that excited about something.
Yeah about something to night to that level of like,
all right, I'm attacking this with that whatever, what's the
Harball line.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
With excitement not known to humanity? Right, I'm attack the
day like that? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, the level of
excitement humanity has never known. I want to be that
excited about something like if you said free ice cream,
like I would be lined up like that.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Okay, that's it, right, lined up. I'm ing a nice cheesecake.
Maybe it's a cheese steak sandwich.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Yeah, but I mean, but it's got to be I
mean to get me.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
To run that fast, not just I'm in line and
I'm walking in like it looks like it looked like
a Black Friday at like Walmart.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Yeah, that's right from fifteen years ago, the old the
old videos or or like today was a big release
of a new Pokemon.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Thing a booster.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Pack and to really yeah so I mean the outside
of the game stops and then the hallmark the Burbank
sports cards. People had their lawn chairs and were lined
up around the block.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Wow, ty Shirt, how do you not let us know
that today was that big a day? Like, I mean,
ty Shirt's big in the Pokemon unless he's out a
trading pokemons.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Now maybe it's what he's doing. Now we do that.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
I mean, it's just were you gonna go? You weren't
gonna go?

Speaker 4 (03:33):
No, no, no, I'm not a Pokemon guy.

Speaker 6 (03:35):
I said mine. You'd you look at it.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
You do the economics, and you say, Okay, it's gonna
cost me what forty maybe maybe double my cost. I
don't have to go there. I don't have to deal
with people, sit in line, sit in traffic.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
It's worth the uh.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
I'll leave the physical challenge to somebody else and I'll
just pay the piper.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Big power hour of football coming your way. The rest
of this as we get ready for a big Week
four in the NFL, will also go over a couple
of big college games. But I'll tell you what a
trio of games to give you our picks and bowl
predictions for coming up this weekend. And yeah, I was thinking,
you know, we do this game last here, but no,
but I want you off on on on a good

(04:17):
foot here this hour. The good times continue for the
Bears this week. Yes, they're playing the Raiders, but the
big times continue. I'd be more nervous for the Bears
if Washington didn't just pace them with Mariota.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I mean, come on, man, really, I mean, I mean,
go on, Marcus.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Mariota has another big game this week? Right, Jayden Daniels
out again? Yeah, we'll start getting me. Should Mariona be
starting for one of these thirty two teams?

Speaker 6 (04:45):
Eight seven, seven ninety.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Yeah no, McLaurin not a good luck.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I know it's hard to think that the Bears can
win two in a row and that it's gonna be
another big week for Caleb Williams. But this game is
going to be a big shootout. Chicag is gonna make
enough plays. I like the over in this one. I'll
go thirty one to twenty eight. And the ascension of
Caleb Williams continues. I told you the beginning before the season,

(05:10):
I got a little nervous guy. There's a times really nervous.
But I told you things are gonna be fun. You
just got to give Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson a
little bit of time to get their footing. It's Ben
Johnson's first time as the head coach. They blew the
game Week one that they should have won.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
They a tough way, but Caleb Williams is showing you
that he is starting to have games where he is dominant. Now,
it's not gonna be like that every week, and there's
still gonna be times when he faces an elite defense
that it's gonna be ooh boy, tough week for Caleb Williams.
But the guy is dynamic. He's gonna have three hundred
yard games in three touchdown games. He'll have another three

(05:43):
hundred yard and three touchdown game this week because it's
the Raiders, so this week will be really good. So
I'm giving you the the Bears again, but I'll give
you this bold prediction, right, I'll give you this bold
prediction while the Bears are gonna win, big day from
Caleb Williams. First one hundred yard rushing game for Ashton genty,
first one hundred yard rushing game for Ashton genty in

(06:05):
this one. Not enough Bears win, but he has a
big game finally ready.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Plus three twenty five for one hundred yard rushing perform
is over under if you're playing it straight. Sixty six
and a half.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Okay, I'm not playing it straight. I go big, Mike,
I go Bill.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
No, I lost three twenty five for you there, buddy.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Alternate line Caleb Williams passing yardage two thirty five and
a half. That's about where he was, just slightly higher
than last week he was at like two thirty two.
He crushed that before halftime. Gino's at two fifty two
and five and a half, figuring that they're chasing right
as we go. I think it is a spot for genty.

(06:48):
What's curious is the Bears do get Gordon to get
some help in that back seven in this one. And
we've talked about it a lot for folks that really
want the deep breakdown of it all with my Chicago
roots fully exposed, is that it was going to take
time right. It's it's a completely different system than anything
Caleb Williams has done in terms of the expectations and timing.

(07:12):
Ben Johnson winning people over every time he gets in
front of a microphone and talking about the path and
while accepting the hey, we had some good things and
and a lot went right last week. So like that's
last week, Like we still got to go to Las Vegas.
You still got to go win a game. By the way,
get in last I saw it was like three hundred bucks.

(07:32):
A lot of were touching down in Vegas today. But
it's it's just that that idea of Roma duneesay. You
look at the targets and the connection that they have.
Loveland was gonna have a big game before he got injured.
The one thing that's missing, and we've got this with
the number of teams right now, is will you get
some semblance of consistency out of your run game. I

(07:55):
don't know that DeAndre swift uh and the guys that
they've got behind him are are enough if they're actually
going to make a push forward and really give Caleb
the support he needs on a weekly basis. For this game,
it's all about can you avoid Max Crosby if you
can go until the fourth quarter before you get to

(08:15):
say hello to him? And it's in the Jersey swap
y the scenario that I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I see, I would almost feel more nervous in the
Jersey swap with Max Crosby than actually lining up across
from him, because then I got to talk to him,
and you know, who knows what could happen.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
But well, I mean expect you know, it's clearly going
to be a better scenario than what's been going on,
and all the times you've seen that video of CJ.
Stroud Pattingham on the shoulders saying better days, better days.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
Now you can.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Invert that a little bit with where we're at in
this National Football League season. But you know Bowers is
going to get his Jacoby Myers will have his opportunities downfield.
The over under on this one's sitting at forty eight
Vegas minus one, so basically a pick them. So yeah,
I think the Bears can win this game and and

(09:05):
do so convincingly, as long as they can give Caleb
clean jersey early.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
One of the other big games that we're seeing this
week that was not a big game when the schedule
was announced or even going into Week one, but suddenly
the Colts in the Rams is a big ban not one. Okay,
we talked about this a couple of days ago. I
told you the Chiefs, sorry the Chiefs, the Patriots, and
the Jets have the easiest schedules the rest of the
season right there, three fifty seven winning percentage of the

(09:33):
rest of their teams. It's gonna be embarrassing when the
Jets have the easiest schedule in the NFL and go
three and fourteen. Weird number one. Weird, number one, but
that'll mean we have the number one pick. Hey, number
one pick?

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Everybody?

Speaker 6 (09:45):
Yeah, which quarterback to you one?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I know er number one pick when there's no consensus
quarterback to take right, that's the Jets. But the Rams
now have the toughest schedule in the NFL the rest
to the season.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
This is how it goes. They're two to one.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
They should be three and oh if they could have
executed a field goal last week, just one field goal
last week, they would have won. They bring the Colts
back down to earth for now. I told you we
believe in the Colts. But the Rams are just the
better team. Their defense is better. This is a blip
for the Colts. It's a Matthew Stafford game. This is
a Stafford game where he throws big. The Rams roll

(10:24):
up points, and they shut down Jonathan Taylor, who has
been running wild. Like with all the Daniel Jones attention
the first few weeks. People forget that Jonathan Taylor's been
the number one running back in the NFL, back to
where he was a couple of years ago. But this
Rams defense is one of the top units in the league.
It's a top three, top four unit. They will find
a way. And I know Sean McVay is going to say,

(10:46):
all right, Daniel Jones, we're gonna make you beat us,
and the Rams defense is too good for that to happen.
It's a look, it's a long trip. The Rams finally
get to sit back and play a big game at home.
All right, give me the Rams in this one, thirty
four to seventeen.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Taylor's over under for rushing yards eighty seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Take the under. I'll give you the Timmy the under
and that under under three and a.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Half is the line as we sit here, forty nine
and a half is you're over under in this one.
Expecting some fireworks. We do have a couple of injuries
of note.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
For the Colts.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
Kenny Moore cornerback is going to be out.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Alec Pierce, their deep ball threat whose target chair is
not huge, but big play opportunities there now and again.
And they're also missing their right guards, so a couple
of big injuries. Meanwhile, for the Rams, you've got DeVante Adams.
Looks like he's gonna be able to go, but he's
got a hammy, so we'll see how that responds.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
For the home date.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
I like the Colts plus the three and a half,
I think the Rams win the game. But the hook
gets me to side with Daniel Jones making just enough
plays with his legs, spreading the ball around to take
advantage of you still have some issues to work out
in the secondary with the Rams. Overall, you've got a

(12:03):
very difficult front. And that's where I think you're really
pushing for your Jonathan Taylor under total there, Jason. But
this is where you know Jones has to show that
growth and everything that's People are starting to lay on
him saying, look, he's in a system that makes sense.

Speaker 6 (12:19):
It's all that. It's like, well have you learned it?

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Now? You've got your master's class here in a matchup
against the Rams.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Let's go across town rally.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
We have to go three thousand miles, but across town
the Chargers of the Giants. Jackson Dart's debut is starting
quarterback for the Giants. I told you how much I
like the guy. He's gonna make some big looks again,
he's gonna be He's Joe Burrow Light. That's the impact
he's gonna have in the Giants over the course of
the season.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
He's gonna have photo shopped him into a Jets uniform.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
No, I can't do that, man, that's too much pain.
That's that's too much pain. Man's And it doesn't matter.
If we had Jackson Dart, he would suck.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
He got john He's gonna be need to go through
three teams before.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
Yeah, I know, coach, I get it.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
You could, you could.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
You could take Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes and and
and put their best parts together to make us like
bolt Back and make us super and he would still
suck with the Jets.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
They guy got it right? Who's right over at Marvel?

Speaker 6 (13:22):
Now we need a new superhero.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
He's terrible.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Like you know when they do that sometimes and the
sportsman say, hey, here's how we uh uh we we
we we make the best quarterback, right, like we take
the right arm of Mahomes and the brain of Josh
Allen Wing Like yeah, yeah, yeah, you you could do
that and put that quarterback on the Jets and they
would still suck. And that can fight. This is the

(13:47):
greatest quest. He's eight feet tall, he weighs four hundred
and forty pounds. He runs a three seven forty. How
how is he only eight for twenty four throwing the
football today, I don't understand with the Jets.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Current line at six, Chargers the big Road favorite forty three.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
And a half.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
The total for this one for Jackson Dart passing yards.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
You want to take a guess, uh.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
One seventy five? Ooh, look at you?

Speaker 5 (14:15):
You you did come in under two hundred. I gotta
give you credit there one eight nine and a half.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Look, he's gonna make some plays. He's gonna show you
why he's a starting quarterback. But the Chargers defense is terrific.
Right again, we keep talking about how great, but they
know the Chargers defense is phenomenally good.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
This game is gonna be closer than expected. We were
talking about the Chargers after a.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Big win three thousand miles an early game in New York.
Justin Herbert finds a way to pull it out. They
got to figure out their running game with no nause Harris,
you know you can give the ball with Marin Hampton twenty.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Times in this game.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
It's gonna be a tougher sledding week, but it's gonna
be at the end Justin Herbert making a couple of
plays that's gonna make you go man, This guy is
going to be in the thick of the MVP conversation
all year long. It'll be a sloppy start, a tough game,
but Herbert will make enough plays and they win. I
like the Giants to cover, but I like the Charges

(15:11):
in a twin I like the under I like the
Charges in a twenty to sixteen kind of game. Twenty
to seventeen kind of game to win on Sunday, tougher
than you think, but the Charges are too good. There's
no way they shou come out of this and not
beat Jackson Darkness first NFL start.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
Yeah, I'll take those points six. I saw it leak
out to six and a half in a couple of spots.
The curiosity for the Chargers now with Naji Haras out
is what they do in the running back position behind Hampton.
Right now, you've got Hassan Haskins and then there's there's
a giant question mark.

Speaker 6 (15:47):
Right So it's the.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
One of the things you want to have as a
hallmark of your squad if you're horriball right, that's just
who he is. So curiosity a lot of rumored speculation.
You're starting to see the phone of a lot of
running backs on these bad teams from Alvin Kamara on
that might find themselves in a new uniform, and I
would not be surprised to see the Chargers be aggressive

(16:11):
there with Harris out.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Yeah, this is gonna be Look, the charge are gonna
wind up being four and oh and it's gonna be
a big story.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
But not every game is gonna go according to plan.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
This is gonna be one of those really really rough
again three thousand miles figuring out the new running back,
but the Charge justin Herbert is just having that kind
of year so far, and I don't see as good
a defensive line as the Giants have. I kind of
have that seeing Herbert play so much, how good he's
been so far this year, I kind of get a
little that Baker Mayfield that hey, when plays need to

(16:44):
get made, he's gonna make them, and you shouldn't be
surprised when they do. And it shouldn't be something that
happens sixty percent of the time, should be something that
happens eighty five percent of the time. Like Herbert's getting
back to being that guy that he was after his
first two years in the NFL. We thought, Wow, this
kid's gonna come in, just absolutely take over.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
I really thought you're.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Gonna run a Brian Fontana line. H it works every time.
The look they've got.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
What's your name, Brian fantant Brian Fantana. No, no, you're
not Brian Fantana.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
All right.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
They got great depth at wide receiver. And this is
really the test of the Giants defense that we talked
about all off season, whether they would be able to
hold the line. And I'm really curious to see offensively,
and obviously it's a huge test against this Chargers squad.
No Khalil Mack, but still quite quite the challenge. But

(17:34):
how much difference the offense is gonna look than it
did under Russell Wilson, Because you're not playing for moon balls, right.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
You're gonna see You're gonna see all kinds of excitement
and different plays and quick kids and breakout screens and
y'all him getting the foot it's gonna be Jackson dark
getting the football out fast.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
But I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
The one thing about the guy watching him play everything
he's done this summer, he will hold onto the football
and deliver it in a tight window.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Like there's a.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Difference between holding onto it too long and holding on
to it long enough to see a play develop and
to throw a guy open. And I've seen him do
that and many times this summer, so it's not just
always gonna be it, but he is definitely gonna get
the ball out quick.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
It's gonna be a much different offense some way.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
I just can't wait to watch the jugger not run.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Let's go.

very exciting September yay've been eliminated from playoff contention.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
Boy man, you're going to the final weekend.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Maybe that was great. It was great. It was great.
Great for them alive.

Speaker 9 (21:42):
Man.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Okay, let me stop you right there.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
The Mets suck, you know, And here's the thing, right,
here's the thing, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
Here's the thing. Right, I've told you beginning of the.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Week I should have just accepted the fact that the
Mets are going to take it down to the final
day before they they bow out of the season. And
it because this is how the Mets do it, right.
They can't just do it easy and lose the first
like three games of this week.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
So there's no stress.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
No, we're gonna keep it going all the way to
the end. But like, here's the thing for tomorrow now,
the final wildcard in the National League, it's Mets of
the Reds, right, and the Reds have the advantage right
now is a tiebreaker with the Mets. Here's the crazy thing. Right,
tomorrow could be results where we know nothing going into
the final day and it's about the same. The Mets
could take a huge advantage, a huge leap by getting

(22:28):
into the lead of the wildcard again going to the
final day, or the Mets could be eliminated tomorrow with
a loss. Like this is all that could happen tomorrow
with the Mets and the Reds the final wildcard in
the National League.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
Well, but it would allow you to channel all your
energy into the Jets this weekend because we get to
do that on Monday Night, Live and Die.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
What if we talked about the rule being this week,
don't tell anybody what the game is on Monday.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Night because you want to.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Sorry, we don't remind people what the early game is, right, good,
come on, man.

Speaker 6 (23:01):
Almost don't want to remind him what the late game
is either.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Yeah, but the late game makes the early game makes
the late game look like Steelers Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
No. But here's the thing. What do we always want?
We want a game that's close late.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
Man, he minus two and a half forty four year total.
The other one seven and a half is the.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
Spread forty four year total.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
But at least you're seeing one halfway decent team, you know,
of the four teams on Monday, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (23:28):
You might.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
You might have to sell folks if they if they
get upset here on Monday night. As I always quote
from Morgan Freeman, though, buddy, let me tell you something.
My friend Hope is a dangerous Yeah. Yeah, you can
drive a man insane.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
But you know the rules. Monday night, we just say
there's football join up. We don't tell people.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
We don't talk about fight club, and they don't specify
the games.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
That's why.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
That's why on Monday of this week, right when we're
spending time breaking down what we saw less than twenty
four hours ago. The first couple of days, it didn't matter.
We jumped right to Packers Cowboys. How big again? The
biggest game of the week, the biggest game of the year,
the Micah Parsons return. I mean really, on Monday we
started looking ahead to the Cowboys and the Packers. I

(24:14):
would love to pick the Cowboys in this game. I would,
I really would.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
I'm not lying.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
I'd love to pick the Cowboys to win this game.
I'd love to talk about the Cowboys resiliency and the
inspiration getting back in but that's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
I can see the game.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Being close through the most of the first half, where
the Cowboys are playing it tight and we get a
couple of really nice drives by Dak, but they're just
not nearly as good.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
As the Packers.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Who Yeah, you're gonna start after Sunday, We're gonna go.
Maybe the Packers were sort of looking ahead with that
game against the Browns last week. There's no CD lamb.
I don't know how the Cowboys are gonna really move
the football. They're not gonna be able to run like
they want to or quote stop the run like they've
been doing. You see how comfortable, you know, how comfortable
Jordan of his playing in Dallas regularly. This is against

(25:02):
the defense that just got torched by Caleb Williams last week.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
And as much as I love Caleb.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
Russell Wilson two weeks ago, I.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Mean, come on, man, Jordan loves a better quarterback, and
Jordan loves a better quarterback. Doesn't matter if Jayden Reid
is out to Matthew Golden will step up and get
more attention. Jordan love is better. He will roll up
another huge game in Dallas to the tune of three
hundred yards and three touchdowns. The good times for the
Packers keep rolling. Micah Parsons makes a couple of big plays,

(25:30):
some sacks, and he does the money sign to Jerry
Jones's boot. When it's all said and done, a couple
does the baker does the Johnny Manzel money sign. It
is the Packers in a route in this game. They
pulled away in the second half, and I'll give you this,
this bold Bonus Bowl prediction. You're ready, Jerry Jones. Jerry
Jones now cancels his.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
One oh four to three fan on Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Because of this game and Micah winning and the Packers revenge,
Jerry finds a way to not do the interview on Tuesday.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
That's some next level stuff.

Speaker 5 (26:03):
Now, if you could actually find someone to give you
some odds, Like you crossed the line that went into
the casino and said, hey, what can I get?

Speaker 6 (26:11):
That they get buried? There's a money sign.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Shown to the booth, and then Jerry Jones cancels a
media appearance. You might be able to buy an island
after that, you might be able to do a neighbor
of the kloon Dog.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
I could. I thought that very excited about that.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Yeah, Jordan love passing yards is betting line currently at
two thirty and a half. Six and a half is
the spreadbackers the huge road favorite, forty seven being the total.
I'm gonna take that six and a half I think
for Dallas to hang around if nothing else I got?

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Did you say you're and a half for six and
a half? Well?

Speaker 6 (26:45):
Am I teasing out to sixteen and a half?

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Okay, okay, listen, I'm not feeling good.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
How do I tease this out to get it to sixteen?

Speaker 6 (26:56):
Just keep going?

Speaker 9 (26:58):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (26:59):
Going?

Speaker 5 (26:59):
The big question here right is obviously you've got Jake Ferguson,
huge target for Dak Prescott. George Pickens is salivating because
he gets to be the number one or at least
try to play that role, and then we'll see some
of Jalen Tolbert and Jamonte Williams. Has been one of
the best offseason signings. I think he's doing like two
point nine million dollars or something like that, and he's

(27:21):
earning every bit of it because they are gonna run
him until the wheels come off. All of that to say,
I think you can make some Hey against secondary, it's
just all can the Dallas offensive line stand up long
enough to let Dak operate? And for Micah Parsons, how
many times does he introduce himself to Jordan Love Hey,
remember me, I'm that guy from four minutes ago in

(27:41):
that prior possession, you know, before we shove the ball
down your throat with Josh Jacobs in.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
Our high powered offense. Yeah, this is gonna be fun.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Now to the one in three Bowl, also known as
Yeah let's go. Somebody's going to one in three, which
means they're gonna be one, two and one. Someone's going
to one and three and going to be the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Why why do I.

Speaker 6 (28:01):
Get it to better? Tie?

Speaker 4 (28:03):
The Chiefs are see you, then you gonna be one
and three. We're not. We're one, two and one.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
The Chiefs are just struggling in too many places. The
Ravens are struggling big time defensively. Their offense is doing
whatever the hell they want to, right. You look at
their point totals forty week one against the Bills, forty
one against a pretty good defense in Cleveland, thirty last week.
It's hard for me to see the Chiefs putting this
together this week. Even though Xavier Worthy comes back, that's great,

(28:30):
but Hollywood Brown has been a jag. Travis Kelcey looks
like he's done, he's got. He's had more fits on
the sideline than he does catches this year.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Right, That's kind of where it is for Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Casey is just hoping at some point they flip the
switch and they turn back into the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
It's not happening.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Right beginning of the season, I said, stock up on
Patrick Mahomes, stock down on the Chiefs, right, and so
far Mahomes has done everything right. He's there leading rusher
as well as as what he's doing throwing the football.
It's going to be another game like that for them,
and Mahomes is gonna have a big game. We're gonna
put a lot of points on the board, but the
Ravens offense is going to continue to do what they

(29:08):
want to. They will score it will It'll be a
bigger day for Lamar Jackson in this game. I love
the over the most, but I'll take the Ravens in
this one. Thirty eight twenty seven and the Chiefs are
one and three and suddenly Monday it's Hey, maybe the
Chiefs have gotten passed by by a lot of other
teams in the AFC that are younger and more athletic,
and maybe they're rosters a little more talented.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
Total rushing yards factor Patrick Mahomes twenty five and a half?

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Oh over, are you kidding? Over?

Speaker 1 (29:36):
You could put it at seventy five and a half
and I would take over. Now, wow, seventy five and
a half.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
I mean we remember when he ran five hundred yards
laterally against the Bucks Sprinton's sideline.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Can I tease that out?

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (29:48):
Can I use the lateral yards rushing by Patrick Mahomes?

Speaker 5 (29:52):
Yeah, I don't know that you get credit for that one,
but I do like the cut of your jib.

Speaker 6 (29:58):
Yeah, we look at this one. It's forty eight. Is
the total.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Ravens are two and a half point road favorite. The
defense of Spagnola, that's the thing that's most curious to me.
The last couple of weeks, Derrick Henry's not been what's that.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
Word, I'm looking for a good good Yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Yeah, Fortunately, the defense as bad as badly as they
they've played, they had, they did give opportunities against the Browns,
but they score thirty seven points a game, thirty seven
in a row. Yeah, it's a juggernaut as it were.
Looking for Spagnola to slow things down a bit is
particularly if the run game can't get going more on

(30:37):
Lamar Jackson, but for Kansas City to be able to
take advantage of the fact that Baltimore can generate no
natural pass rush and that second.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
Door and Derry can be had.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
So with the Speedsters coming back, does Travis Kelcey gain
anything from having talked to Leo DiCaprio and Benicio del
Toro this week?

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Clearlyj Travis kel See is fighting one battle after another
with the Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (31:04):
This week. There you have it. That's what you call
laying it up for my guy to dunk.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
That was a thunderous jam.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
That was Kobe setting up Shack and that big that
big jam from the Western Conference finals in two thousand
that you see all the time when Shaq dunk Sidney
points of the crowd. Not our first rodeo, folks. I
gotta be honest, I've heard that all the reviews say
that movie is amazingly good, and it's it's all it's
the Oscar front Runner everywhere, like it's the movie is

(31:35):
that good?

Speaker 5 (31:36):
Yeah, I know, I'm excited to see it. I've seen
four or five different cuts of previews and I still
don't really know what I'm going to see. But damn it,
you get that cast together, I'm in Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
And that's the thing is I always say to myself
when I have to look up after I see the
previews a couple of times where the trailers and I
have to look up the plot, it's never a good sign.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
But I think it's okay for this one.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Like I think it's all right for this I had
to look up and see, oh okay, I kind of
get the plot now, all right.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
I think it's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Yeah, yeah, I think I'm gonna go watch the Phoenicians
scheme again after we finish, too, del.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
In my life, exit out or go watch the fan
could do that too, Pinicio del Toro.

Speaker 6 (32:15):
How much that hey.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Warn him when he goes into the sauna?

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Okay, yeah, alright, make sure gotta be careful exit out
about of Fresco exit swollen dumb. So there's our picks
of the biggest NFL games of the weekend. Time not
to find out what's trending in the wide world of
sports from someone who's been called the Keegan Bradley of
Fox Sports Radio. Everybody's walking around today questioning his decisions.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
It's deep to stay and.

Speaker 9 (32:41):
I'm gonna play myself Saturday. Europe does lead the US
at the Ryder Cup five and a half to two
and a half after the opening day matches on Long Island.
It's the US golfers against Europe. Europe has won eight
of the last eleven Rider Cup. Scottie Scheffler and Bryce
and Deshamboo each lost both their matches today. Effler didn't
reach the seventeenth hole on either of his losses. In

(33:03):
college football, Virginia in double overtime beat number eight Florida
State forty six thirty eight Seminoles missed a forty five
yard field goal attempt on the first drive of the
second half. Each team with three turnovers. At Arizona State
on a late field goal, the sun Devils beat number
twenty four ranked TCU twenty seven to twenty four and
under seven minutes to go.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
At zher and four Oregon.

Speaker 9 (33:22):
State, the Beaver is ahead of three in oh Houston
twenty four to ten. Forty nine Ers quarterback Brock Party
will return to play Sunday after a tow injury, but
Washington wide receiver Jaden Daniels is still out with his
brain knee, and wide receiver Terry McLaurin is out with
a quad injury. Jets quarterback Justin Fields practice fully again
after a concussion. Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy returned Sunday

(33:44):
after a dislocated shoulder. Rams wide receiver Devonte Adams is
questionable with the bad hamstring, but his coach's confident Adams
can play on Sunday. Bears running back DeAndre Swift is
questionable with a hip injury was limited in practice again
this week. Giants kicker Graham Gnoa is out missed practice
all week with a groin injury. The Giants have two
kickers on the practice squad, including young Wayku. Giants running

(34:06):
back Tyrone Tracy could miss multiple games with a dislocated shoulder.
Rio Jajan Earro will host an NFL game starting next year,
and it'll be at least three games over the next
five seasons, according to the contract.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
I saw this.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
This is the one where the the the bird from
Minnesota goes down to Rio and winds up meat animated.

Speaker 6 (34:27):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
And then the bird's owner and another guy fall in love.
I've seen that.

Speaker 6 (34:32):
Well, guys got a really good song, the Villain.

Speaker 9 (34:35):
They have actually signed for a sequel already, in fact,
a couple of them, because three games over the next
five seeds. Yeah, they played in Brazil Sal Paulo, Brazil
this year and last year. Now it's it's real.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
King suave, ambitious feet, two week, super delicious.

Speaker 9 (34:50):
W NBA semifinal wins for Phoenix and Las Vegas. That
Phoenix win at home against Minnesota. Don't ask the coach
about the referees. Just for the record. Nafisa Collier with
an ankle injury. It's best of five this Major League
Baseball's regular season ends this Sunday. Cubs in Phillies each one.
Padres eliminated Arizona seven to four in the race for

(35:10):
the final ANL wildcard, Mets lost Cincinnati one. The Reds
and Mets tied for that last spot, and the Reds
to hold the tiebreaker over the Mets. As for the
American League, Houston, still one game out of the final
AL wildcard spot. The spot and Blue a three ninhing
lead in the fourth, lost four to three to the Angels,
might trout two solo homers, including the game winner in

(35:31):
the bottom of the eighth. Houston would lose a tiebreaker
against Cleveland, and against Detroit and against Boston. Boston clinched
a postseason birth with a run in the ninth, beating
Detroit four to three. Cleveland was defeated seven to three
by Texas, which got four runs top of the first,
so Cleveland and Detroit still tied for first in the
AL Central standings. Guardians hold the tiebreaker. They won the

(35:53):
season series Toronto and the Yankees each one. Those two
still tied for first in the AL Least we know
what the Seattle lost in to the Dodgers. Toronto not
only holds the tiebreaker in the division standings against the Yanks,
whoever wins the AL East will get the one seed
in the AL. The Brewers lost to Cincinnati tonight could
have clinched the one seed in the NL with a

(36:14):
win or with a Phillies loss. Neither of that happened.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Back to you, Thank you, Steve O.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon
coming up next. We finish our big football Friday weekend
with a flourish. There is one game on Sunday between
two three and ohero teams in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
Who comes away with the win?

Speaker 1 (36:33):
We got that, plus our final thoughts on the big
day in college football as well.

Speaker 4 (36:37):
Keep it here. It's a fredic finish next on Fox.
It's a lot of half.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Maybe it's a big weekend of upsets in college football.
Virginia beats Florida State tonight. The most impressive play of
the night how fast Virginia fans ran on the field
following their upset and I saw it when it happened.
And sure enough, after Castellanos throws the pick that's in
the game, a deep throat to left by Castellano sits, yeah, something.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
I told you. I swear I saw.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Because he's being escorted off the field by a security
guard and a fan runs by him, I think realizes
that he's running by Castellanos stops, double birds him and
keeps running.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
I've went and I found the video.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I've gone back, and sure enough it's a fan who
runs by, but he's got his phone in his hand
and he stops and he turns to get video and
he flips off Castellanos and then just keeps going. So
I thought it was a double bird, but it was, Hey,
I'm doing this running and I'm flipping him off and
then I'm turning a run and run away. That's what
it was. It was the double bird. It was a

(37:50):
single bird on camera. You find it in a Twitter verse.
It's been tagged quote this legend.

Speaker 6 (37:57):
The double birds.

Speaker 5 (37:59):
Yeahs floating into your screen as they're ushering him off,
making sure he's okay. Yeah, and dude goes flying by.
You know, this looked like something straight out of World
War Z. The way they descended on this field.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
I mean it was just run like they heard where
was it? They were in Israel and they were doing
they were singing the song, and that drew them all
over the wall. I would just climb up on each
on each other to get over each other, to get
up over the top.

Speaker 5 (38:29):
Man, you can go into the Kingsman. They had a
similar scene, right the church scene, and yeah, I know it.
It got next level stuff. But yeah, you got you
got your zibruder moment.

Speaker 9 (38:40):
There.

Speaker 6 (38:40):
There you go. You got your confirmation of what you
thought you saw.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Because it isn't it because Brad pitt yelling stop singing.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
Stop the singing stop?

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Right, Yeah, they're just crawling on you for each other
to get over the top.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
So again, we could have a great weekend in college,
but we certainly have enough big games.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
One game in the NFL, Like of all the big
high profile games, right we've talked about so far, tonight,
there's one game involving undefeated teams.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
One game.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
One game, and it's the game everybody thought it would
be at this point in the season. It's Kansas City
and but no, it's it's the start it's the Colts
and the Rams.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
Yeahs oh no, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
It's Philadelphia and Tampa Bay three and O Eagles three
and oh Tampa. Look, Tampa's been living dangerously the first
three weeks. They've gotten by Baker Mayfield leading last second drives.
But look, we've talked about this. We talked about this
a few days ago. Congratulates to everybody else. Wholl stole
this part of the take. Look, Brady, Sorry, Mayfield has

(39:44):
been very Tom Brady like in the final two minutes
of games. He is fantastic, right, He's been great last
the last year, plugged almost two years. But really you're
starting to see that. Hey, when he has to score
the end of a game, it doesn't matter who his
weapons are, he finds a way. But they've been living dangerously.
Philadelphia has been just getting by, right. Their first l

(40:05):
is coming, and it's coming on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
Okay, it's a.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
Lower scoring game. I like the under in this one,
but Mayfield's gonna make more plays than Hurts, Right, Philadelphie
is gonna start to realize. Okay, the Saquon Barkley from
twenty twenty four isn't coming back now again, we talked
about this from in the preseason.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
Four hundred touches for.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
It takes a guy a while to come back, and
maybe he never comes back from Fort should it never
comes back.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
Four hundred touches, Right, He's not gonna be the same.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
The Eagles are gonna have to realize we're gonna have
to be Jalen Hurts driven for the for the bulk.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
Of this season.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Now again, you think, hey, we're gonna try her to
get Barkley untracked, It's not gonna happen. The Philadelphia will
adjust a little bit, but not in the heat in Tampa. Again,
low scoring game, but I'll take Mayfield to make another
play late to win this game, and I'll give you
this bold prediction as well. Bucky Irving has the big day,
two touchdowns, one hundred and twenty five total yard from scrimmage.

(41:01):
Mayfield continues to find him out of the backfield and
it's become his bread and butter when he doesn't like
what he sees downfield. Bucky Irving has taken swing passes
and passes in the flat and being the third and
fourth option, turning them to twelve yard games. Big day
from Bucky Irving.

Speaker 5 (41:15):
Big upgrade coming this week. Been waiting on it. Eagles
are at three and a half point favorite on the road.
Tristan Wurf's looks like he's ready to go. Finally full
participant Friday, coming off the knee injury. Maybe you get
a little bit of Godwin so some stuff to bolster it.
I'm gonna take the Bucks with the points. I'll take

(41:36):
the three in a hook, but I'll take to get
just enough out of the passing game to get it done.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
The hook right.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
There, like everybody sleeping on the Bucks a little bit.
I don't know that they're not gonna have a lot
to say about this NFCA. We talked about the Lions
and the Rams and the and the commands.

Speaker 5 (41:56):
Who does he hate on this staff like he hated
people last week?

Speaker 1 (41:59):
Can he make get personal with the Eagles. I'm gonna
be so mad because Nick Siriani just I hate that
security guy. Dig dof he did jerk.

Speaker 4 (42:09):
He didn't wait.

Speaker 6 (42:10):
He came out of the coaches box and gave me
a dirty look.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
Fn A on FSR is next. This is Fox
