This is the best of The Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Thursday Night Football goes to the Texans. They beat the
Bills twenty three to nineteen. They sat Josh Allen thirty
seven times, thirty seven in a row. They're back in
the playoff chase. What now for the Bills? Joining us
now on the hotline to break it all down? Nobody
better the NFL On Fox Insider Extraordinary Jay Glazer, Jay
(00:54):
Happy Thursday, Man, how you doing? Oh tell body, we're
doing better than John. Every time he took the step,
until like he took two steps and it was running
for his life. Jay.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yeah. So let me tell you how feared the Texan
front is. It's how feared they are. A couple of
weeks ago, Broncos are going to face the Texans, and
Sean Payton's like, man, we gotta do something. They literally
sign Mercedes Lewis, who is probably the best blocking tight
(01:25):
end of all time, specifically to come out of retirement
for that game, just like, Hey, if this guy can
help us on ten plays, we're gonna take it because
Mercedes a gangster and we need somebody who's not afraid
of Daniel Hunter, Will Anderson. But like, man, they their
front is that dangerous. I know their offense can't do
(01:46):
much right now, but they are so feared and what
they can do in that defensive side of the ball.
They're the teams. So every year there's somebody that kind
of starts stepping up in week eleven, week twelve, and
you're like, man, I just don't want to see on
my schedule. And it's them. And they've been like this
because they're you know, because their defense, but man, their defense,
(02:09):
Like we've got week after week after week of people
trying to figure out how can we slow them down
and they can't.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
You know, we talk about resiliency in teams, Jay and
teams that you know quit as the season goes on,
and this is a Texans team zero and three. No,
Joe Mixon, j Stroud is hurt. They could have easily
packed it in so many times this year and instead
here they are in the thick of the playoff chase.
It really is it really is something.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, but they're not They're not going to pack it
in because what they got in the defense front of
the ball. And Debigo Ryans Yes, Like man, the job
he's done as a coordinator this year, and I it
really is amazing when you look back at like Kyle
Channan's coordinators. Look what obviously you know his current coordinators
do is the former head coach of Jets, right, Robert Salla.
Look what Dimiko has done. Like, man, there's just kind
(02:59):
of a culture of this, this chaos that those two
guys talls on that side of the ball, that doesn't
really you know, look at San Franz, They've been so
beat up, but there's this chaos over there. Denigo has
a two and No. I don't think this is the
type of team that's gonna pack it in because I
think they you know, sharpen their weapons every week. But
(03:20):
you know, yeah, I just want to go back to
what I said, Like, guys, the Broncos signed. Someone is
like Norman has an unbelievable blacker, like we need any
help we can get and but like, hey, you're forty
one years old. We don't care. You're not afraid of
the guy you and see if you could help us,
(03:42):
and he did.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
It's funny, one of my favorite players going. So when
that news started flowing, Jay I was like, yeah, because
as long as these.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Guys keep playing, I don't feel so damn old.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Well, so let me tell you what happened to Like
that week, Sean Payton calls and he's like, hey, we're
looking for a block and tight end and I'm like, oh,
that's right, you get the Texans. I was like, hey, no,
he goes, we're looking real tight end. I go blocking
and receiving, goes blocking. I go, oh, look, no further,
because what do you mean? Asked like, I got your
(04:12):
guy Mercedes Lewis and he's like what's he doing? I said, dude,
he's working like four times a day, like big dope.
Because they gagster. We're like, what do you do? Right?
I said, legally I told him like three days ago.
He is underlooks in great shape. But like Mercedes, the
type of player that he'll fight you before you'll fight him.
He's just he's that guy. So so I was like,
(04:33):
well that's what I'm looking for. I said, you got
the Texans. He goes, yeah, we got the Texants. Oh yeah,
it makes sense you have the Texans. Like, what could
somebody do to slow those cats down? And like I said, like,
you know what you're facing, but nobody can slow them down.
They are a violent, violent, violent defense. If they just
(04:53):
can just get a spark on the other side of
the ball, that is not a team that i'd want
to face down the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Trus Well, Jay, with them winning that game, I think
you should get a Super Bowl ring if the Broncos
win it all this year, like you won that game
for them.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
No, I just want Mercedes to pay a bill once.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Yeah, we always keep track of all right, who's picking
up a tab this week? All right, So let's go
to the other side of things. Sean McDermott trying to
keep this Bill's squad. They had a big win against
Tampa and come back tonight. He's under duress. You take
some of the opponent, but overall and uneven run for
the Bills.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Yeah, it really has been. You know. It's just like
you know, you got kind of look at it, like, man,
do they have the weapons, Like, look, they're young receiver
where they thought was gonna be like a big playmaker,
and he is, but he's not playing by their rules,
you know, and you gotta show hey, this is no
one's bigger than this, right And and Jhan Coleman, So
you know, the build I'm still trying to figure out
(05:54):
because they do have like the horses, but I think
like all their horses on Josh Allen, I mean, like,
look what the Chiefs do. Hey, we've got Patrick Mahomes.
But let's go be a great Let's go try and
get this guy and that guy and this guy and
that guy and and I think the Bills, man, I
do still think the Bills as the stretch is going
(06:17):
to come down here. I do think they're a team
that you're not gonna want to face. I do think
they're a really really good team.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Yeah. It's like we were talking to this a few
minutes ago about how they're the good but not great
teams and you try to find that, I say.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
That's a bad matchup. I think it's a bad matchup
for them, all right.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Jay Glazer with US senior Jason Spith Mike Harmon live
from the Fox Sports Radio studios. You know, we go
going down the list of these teams you don't want
to play, going through. I know they're three and seven.
But tell you what if the Bengals get Joe Burrow
back this week, Jail, I'll tell you man that that
could be some kind of run the next month if
Burrow comes back.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Man. So, like two weeks ago, you guys know, Rosie
and I aren loved it, and Joe and I are
texting each other and he's like, hey, man, I'm coming
back like waiting people. I'm like and he says like,
I think, like, thanks gimming Ish. I'm like, come on, dude,
there's no way, Like I know, like doctors I talked to,
like his type of injury that's gonna be like January,
(07:12):
not even like regular season, like it's just the And
I told you guys, the worst injury ever. And he's like, no, no,
I'm telling you, thanksgivving Ish. So then he tells me
this two weeks ago, and all of a sudden, bam,
he comes back and you know, last Monday and then
we text again. I'm like, hey, you feeling He is
like pretty good. Let's see next week goes and I
(07:33):
was told like they're into seven on seven and then
he's into eleven on eleven, but eleven on eleven he's
feeling great. And I think that the big thing was like, look,
he he toured a ligament, the tendon, the plate, all this,
and I think it's just got and and part of
it too, is his his management of pain is different
(07:55):
than most, Like I think a lot of people when
they deal with this injury is so painful, like, oh man,
I can't do this, I can't do that, and he's
just like, it's part of it. It's my heartor to
fight hurt. And I think Joe's just different. Man. He
is a gangster. He is different. So yeah, he's done
(08:15):
on eleven on eleven. This week feels great. I just
never see anything like it.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Yeah, it's more appropriate now that he wanted one of
those batmobiles they were making, all right, so jay I,
you know you work with him in one of your buddies.
I enjoyed The Smashing Machine. I was a fun theater romp.
But is there any better drama than the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
No never hear though, doesn't matter what year there is,
it's always it's trauma, it's it's they're a great reality show.
And you know, it's interesting because A J. Brown's taking
all the front of this. But it's not to a J.
All right. He's just kind of an easy target because
he wears his his you know, his emotions on his sleeve.
And four of the things I love about it, you
(09:00):
want but here they are a first place team and
it's like the sky is always falling there and it's
it's always like that in Philadelphia. This is how it is,
you know. So but I do think they man, they've
gotta they've got to look last year, I had a
report and I got killed for it. That man, Jalen
(09:21):
hurts the buy. I actually loved them, said Jalen hurts
the buy. But Brandon, Graham and Vic dam went to
his house saying, man, you gotta you just gotta connect
with more of your teammates. You gotta connect with these guys,
and and he did in crondit him and Brandon said
it wasn't true, even it's true, and Jalen said it
wasn't true, even it's true, and Jalen and I talked
about it. I'm like, dude, this is a good thing.
(09:43):
But I talked about it last year, and obviously they
came together and they won a super Bowl. But it's
like it's happening all over again, and I think he's
gotta connect. And it's on the quarterback to make sure
everybody's together and not just like watch this happen. It's
on the quarterback. You go, Okay, if there's a disconnect
(10:05):
or there's an issue, it's on me to go. We've
got to bring us together. I gotta do this. And
I don't think that's happening there.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
You know, it's kind of aproposje that we have the
Cowboys and the Eagles this week. Did you talk about
two teams bathing in dysfunction? With the CD lamb story
today that he missed curfew, he was out at you know,
late at night in Vegas and had to deny reports
he was throwing up outside the casino following all of this, Like, man,
I'll tell you this, this is the dysfunction ball on
Sunday between these two teams.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
No, but you know, look, no doubt you know what
CD and George should have known better, especially a week
where you really got to stay together because of what
happened to them. They should have known better.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
There does this happen more than we know about? Like
we heard about this obviously they were benched the first
three place. It became a story. Yes, yes, really.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, Oh my god, yeah, oh my god.
There's so many times that guys are because you got
to remember too, their kids, so they do stupid tough
a lot. The coaches like, I'm gonna make exempt. I
remember this great story, Jimmy Johnson bench Michael Irvin. I
think he was late for playing. They're playing Detroit, right
(11:18):
or he kind of showed up as they're about to leave,
and but like coach Michael's here, No, he's supposed to
be in the seat already take off leave. So the
plane leaves and this is Jimmy story, and so I
hope I don't get it wrong, but you know, the
plane leaves. They might make Michael fly in, but they're
gonna bench him for the start of the game. And
(11:40):
I think they went like three and out like the
first three series, and the coaches come to Jimmy, go
you think Michael's learner's lesson yet.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Sounds right. So what happened? Did he go back? Did
he go in the game?
Speaker 3 (11:55):
You damn right, Jay, I gotta.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Imagine over the years on that fire NFL Sunday set,
Jimmy Johnson regaled you with maybe one hundred stories similar.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Oh my god, man, dude, let me tell you someone.
He retired this year. So he sat next to me
in my in our great room, right next to me,
and I'm like, this is the longest relationship I've ever
been in my life. He and he know, and he retired.
I man, I was attacked. I still am like I
lost the guy sitting next to me for twenty three years.
(12:26):
It's it sucks that he's not there with me, like it.
We're we love him, we love him, we love him,
we love him. But yeah, no, I went to the
Morning RD. I still think I am to ounce for you.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
He's on Twitter at Jay Glazer. That's at Jay Glazer.
Jay as always, Buddy, appreciate the stuff, Appreciate the stories.
That Michael story was fantastic, Man, Love you man, Thanks
thanks for being with us. Hey, have a great Thanksgiving.
We'll talk to you soon. Appreciate you, buddy. Big out
those Jay Lazer. You think Michael's learned his lesson, Gotta
get him back and hey, hey, hey, we just went
(12:58):
three and out, get in there three and out three
times in a row. Let's get Michael back in the game,
will you? All right, let's do that. Let's have a
Schottenheimer only went through it once. As I get it,
as he learned is let's listen. Okay, so maybe three play?
What are you thinking? Oh yeah, first quarter into the
second quarter? Are three plays? All right, guys? Go all right,
go go go.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Let's the thing about that, it's the Raiders go as
he thinks about Jimmy Johnson. We'll make sure we get
a note down to Jimmy as well to say hey,
because it's been a minute since we've had a chance
to talk to him. But it's just that idea for
all those years, think about that block of those Cowboys teams.
He could probably write fifteen books based on what the
(13:38):
hell he had to navigate and try to keep out
of the press. A little easier then for social media,
but the characters on that squad, the trickling out of
stories through the years, I don't even think we've scratched
the surface.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
If I'm guessing. Not even close, not even close.
Speaker 2 (13:56):

There you go, over promising. Remember you could see it
on YouTube, but definitely join us. Listen over Promised with
Cadino and Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or
wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
So we now know why ceed Lamb and George Pickens
were benched for the first three plays of The Cowboys
Monday Night went over the Raiders. This is because Ceedee
Lamb said that both he and Pickens were at Red
Rock Casino having dinner and drinks. Red Rocket. I've been
to Red Rock Casino in Vegas. They have a really
great uh they have a great child watch at Red Rock,
(15:33):
which is phenomenal. Like you can drop your kid off
there and your kid has the greatest time in life.
You can go to the movies and go gamble. Like
the child watch is amazing, Right, we gotta talk about that. Yeah,
I know you get on me from movie watch. Heye,
and we're you know what, we kids, We're we're gonna
go gamble. The child Watch at Red Rock Casino is
this big area for kids from like three years old
(15:55):
to like nine. I thought you were gonna sing a
little holiday from one to ninety two. They give them
any kind of food they want. They you know you
want them, and they give you the bill at the end. Yeah,
your kid had this and this, and here's your bill. Okay, fine,
but they'll watch your kid if you want to go glamble,
go to them.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Now.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
We actually went to Red Rock Casino and we went
to the movies, so they watched our kids while they
while we went and went to the movie. We went
to go see one of the Superman movies. This was
a few years ago. And we came out. We're like, okay, great,
they go, here's your bill. Your daughter had four popsicles
and a hot dog. Oh okay great, so she just
gets she was like Zoe was like five, No, it
was it actually wasn't too bad. It was like fifty
(16:29):
bucks or something like that. But like Zoe loved it
there there. You know, she was there with her friends,
like there were four and there. I was like, wow,
this is fantastic. Did they teach them how to roll
dice while you were off at the movies? Shake them up?
Shake them up, Shake them up, shake them She was
running game in the back, so she's actually ahead. But
red right, and they got a great lazy river out there.
Oh yeah, yeah, so Ceedee. Lamb and George Pickens were
(16:52):
there for dinner and drinks and they missed curfew. Now
there was reports. This is my favorite part of the story,
Lamb telling reporters he ands were at Red Rock Casino
having dinner and drinks. He denied he was throwing up
outside the casino, which had been mentioned on social media,
reportedly at seven point thirty in the morning, right like
an old night. Yeah yeah, this is not like, oh
(17:13):
I missed it by twenty minutes and I'm throwing up.
But it was out that he was throwing up outside
the casino, and Cevie Lamb, according to reports, said no, no,
I didn't. I can hold my liquor. Oh oh okay, okay,
ih sorry, Like he was gonna get suspended more if
he was throwing up and not just from missing curfew.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Wow, I mean, look, it's a badge of honor. It's
one thing to be late. I mean people are late.
They say, all right, I miss curfew. I mean you
miss curfew growing up, I'm sure, yeah, yeah, yah, yea
ye yah, the belt might have found me. I mean,
but you know, yeah, you move on, you're not late again,
but you know you have consequences for that, and again
depending on star players. We talked about it and surmised
(17:50):
that this was the case. They missed a curfew and
what are you gonna do, star players. It's like Jimmy
Johnson always said, I'd wake Troy up if he fell
asleep in a meeting.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
What happened to last guy? Cut? Yeah? Yeah, whereas these
you guys, what'd you miss?
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:04):
We went three and out. All right, get out there.
I'll tell you this right now. First of all, you know,
it took me a long time to realize, Oh, being
able to drink a lot and holding your liquor and
saying that is not the best thing to brag about. No,
but say I can hold I'm not throwing up. I'm
not the Ome. I maybe drunk as hell, oh but
I ain't throwing up drunk as hell, but no throwing
(18:26):
Its three a m and my page is still blowing up.
Like it took me a while to realize, oh, that's
not a badge of honor, that that's really not that, Hey,
you know how much I could drink? Yeah, okay, not
really something you want to throw out there, not on
the top of my tinder page, that's not there. But
you know to say that, depending on what you're trying
to attract, it might be I can hold on, I
(18:46):
can hold my liquor. No where it wasn't me. Oh so,
then we're not going to suspend you because you didn't
throw it. If you threw up, we'd suspend you. But
three plays for missing curfew. With all of this, we
like to think of the NFL, and you think of
the old old school coaches that you know, and even
guys like Mike Tomlin now who are hey, when you
run a foul of our rules, that's the one place
(19:07):
you are going to sit. And it doesn't matter. We
are gonna make an example out of you. And while yes,
there was always a rule for the stars, you know, hey, okay,
like you said, for Troy, if Troy fell asleep at meeting,
I wake them up. The other guy's cut. I guarantee you.
Even with the lesser players, the lesser stars, stuff like
this happens way more often in the NFL, to the
(19:30):
point where guys that are missing meetings and habitually late
to meetings, don't get benched, don't get anything happen to them.
I think teams try to be the disciplinarians like they've
been to, try to to be teams to say, hey,
you know what, if you miss a meeting here, if
you miss curfews, you miss this, you are not gonna play.
You're gonna bench for a while. I guarantee you stuff.
We don't find out. They let so many things slide.
(19:53):
All this discipline we think happens in the NFL, forget
it and even gave it. Look, Mike Tomlin, I mean,
Antonio Brown still played every week. Le'Veon Bell still played
every week. All started with the Jalen Ramsey thing. You
got thrown out of a game.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Yeah, hey, you spin on a guy, You do what
comes to natural, right, I mean it was one of
the greatest six second sound bites of recent memory. But
but to that point, right, like we we have Abduel
Carter uh coach Kafka had different times for the meetings.
Yeah yeah, and Parter who is disappointed and missed all
kinds of meetings this year. It doesn't matter the matter,
(20:29):
It's not even a star yet he's just a high
draft back. I guarant this happens so often. It's I
guarantee you it's so rampant because we've gone away from
the era where it's disciplined in the player, because that's
not kind of where we are in sport. In life,
we have been much more relaxed when it comes to
rules and and how discipline you want to be in,
what punishment should be for people across the board in all,
(20:52):
in all factions of life like where it is, not
just in sports. So we've come down from that to
the point where, now, yeah, that seeped its way into sports,
into football, where yeah, I missed a bunch of meaning
it doesn't matter. Oh, we coddle criminals and instrants, and
here in sports there's breaking rules, and there's breaking rules.
It happens way more often, No, I guarantee it. And
(21:14):
the fact that you churn through coaches as fast as
you do, they're disposable. Even if you have a bit
of success, you could still be out after a year.
We've watched a number of teams do that. I have
an opportunity to draft this guy. He would go well
and pair well with this other style of coach, or
this guy became available right now, So how much are
you going to push? Also free agency, you're trying to
(21:35):
get guys to come in, and if you are a
well entrenched coach, I mean think about I'd love to
have been a fly on the wall and wish we
had videotape of some of the meetings evaluating potential free agents.
Say for a Tom Coughlan or Bill Belichick led team
sitting there with the feed up, So what do you
think about this guy? It's like, well, Ruber, is this nah?
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Beat it?
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Right?
Speaker 4 (21:56):
I mean but Tom Coughlin, right, if you weren't ten
minutes early, you were late kind of thing for meetings.
That's just not the way it works anymore. I mean,
look at Schottenheimer. Immediately after those guys made one play
each in that game, he was over there hugging him
like they were best long lost play.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Yes, yeah, I mean, look, the discipline is out the window, right,
three play? You missing three plays? Really, I'm throwing a
hammer down at you. Yeah, you're missing three plays. The
other thing is it translates to raiders. He could have
missed the first three quarters. It wouldn't have mattered. But
it also translates into what we see on the field.
How many presnap penalties and just sloppiness do we see
from a lot of these squads. It's no surprise that
(22:33):
that extends into all the other facets of running an organization.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific, as.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Promised, And everybody's going to get in on this conversation
here because fan duel maybe the greatest ranking that I've
seen in months, because no, you know, look, we love rankings,
we love lists. I think we're kind of getting out
of the list thing because the list things now are
just like hot takes. I'm putting here are the ten
best movies of last year. I'm gonna put in five
movies no one's seen because it's hot. That would be
(23:07):
Oscar nominated films.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
When you say it that way, where's five movies nobody saw.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
FanDuel ranked all the French fries, all of them, all
the French fries and fast food across the country, and
they have their definitive rankings. And there's some stuff, absolutely
I agree with some stuff. I'm like, you gotta be kidding. Okay, Okay,
Now it's a fanduelist. So it's not like this number one,
this number two. This is a fanduelist. Like top quarterbacks
(23:34):
in the game, you know, you know they're going cheering system,
you know, a cut above the best and it's a
picture of Josh Allen, Patrick Wang. Then all the way
down to the bottom it's just the Jets and it's
you know, a picture of Justin Fields and Torot tails.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
But for the cut of a French fry, I mean
that's an important piece, yeah, and an element to the game.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
So nice play of words by you. So here we
are with the definitive FanDuel French fry rankings. And I
would love to disagree with number one. I'd love to
love to be that guy. But ahead of all others,
there is no equal McDonald's French fries, and I'd love
to argue with that, but they've been the best. You
(24:10):
talk about a dynasty growing up when I was a kid,
McDonald's and Burger King French fries. I'm like, you gotta
be kidding me, man, it should be the same these
by kn't eat these Burger King French fries. McDonald's of course,
and they have had a dynasty on French fries now
for going on almost fifty years. Like this, here's the
problem unapproached in fifty years. Yeah, but here's the problem.
The quality control sometimes, like all things fails, so you
(24:33):
get a mealy, soggy, terrible undercooked fry, which which is
the worst. Yeah, because they've got to go back around
and you either have to go into said venue or
you gotta go back in the drive through and say
you gave me some really really suspect fries here. Well,
I'm always a buscussion like six bucks. Yeah, yeah, and
you can always get him. You can always say well done,
(24:55):
and they'll always make him well die Like if you
do that like that, I think you need to do
on a lot more French fries on this list. The
guys say well done, well done, well done. You can try,
but you may not be successful. Look, I will say
this because I want to see what everybody else you
know McDonald's at the top. The one thing I will
tell you in fast food, if someone else is going
to the restaurant for you and bringing it back for you,
(25:15):
do not get fries. They don't travel well. Fries are
not travel If you want to get me the guy
that's bringing them back is going to eat them? No, no, no,
I mean like by the time you get back, they're
cold and you really want to put them and heat
them up somehow. They don't travel. You want to get
fries if you are getting them on your plate and
eating them at that moment. No, I'm just kidding. Do
(25:35):
you have one of those Homer Simpson designed with a
toaster evidence side? Damn right. So that's my one bit
of French fry advice. They don't travel. Well, order something
else and you get them to come back. It's easier,
it'll be hot, and it's one thing. Yeah, mine is more.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
I don't trust the cleanliness of the hands of whoever
would be delivering him for me. Okay, well they're reaching
in and grabbing some of those fries and contaminating the rest.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Watch fin go ahead, finish him up, all right? So
where are you now, Monty? Where are you on the
French fries and hot garbage of a list? Hot garbage
garbage always you're already the wings stop down at d
I can't wait that. Oh no, are you are you
kidding me? Are you kidding me? Wingstop? You don't go
to wing You don't go to place called wings stops.
(26:20):
I do, but I okay, you ask me my personal opinion.
You go for wings garbage. You got listen. You go
to Red Lobster to get lobster.
Speaker 8 (26:26):
Not to get It's not my fault that Wingstop has
delicious fries.
Speaker 9 (26:29):
You're you're getting mad at me that I like the
fries also has wings.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Do you go? Do you travel to it to an
alternate earth to get fries at wingstop? Wingstop fries are
the worst. They're the worst.
Speaker 9 (26:39):
You're legit on cracks and that's fine, and that's fine.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
Hey, hey, that's just like your opinion. There's not enough
ranch dressing. I could drown those fries.
Speaker 8 (26:49):
In Wingstop is the best seasoning. McDonald's fries Okay, sure, sure.
Speaker 10 (26:56):
I mean when they have a stand at Disneyland for
McDonald's away, what are you talking about?
Speaker 9 (27:00):
I mean, that's gonna just tell you what it's at.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (27:03):
And by the way, if you order well done, shame
on you.
Speaker 10 (27:05):
You're making everyone else wait and they have to make
an extra batch of fries because you want the well
done fries.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
I like that.
Speaker 8 (27:10):
I like the cli fries of McDonald's the yo.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Then you just love Wingstop because wingstop you hold it
just falls right over. Can you just cut a potato
and put it in a bag for me? I mean,
come on, you, French fry of Wingstop looks like a
candy cane when you hold it up. Is that it's
how is in and out at sea?
Speaker 9 (27:25):
It should be at the very bottom.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Because in and out they're mealy. In and out French
fries are terrible terribuld.
Speaker 10 (27:31):
Be at the bottom if they taste like the cardboard
they are meal just like the paper bag for five guys.
Speaker 9 (27:36):
It tastes like what it's served in.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Oh yeah, Look, there's for a lot of places that
serve French fries, like you would think they would be
better on them, right, But I want to say, how
can you not approach McDonald's in fifty years? Like I
think that should be a movie like The Beginning.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
Tried to and then they put that coding on things
that you can leave them off on the side for
forty five years and they're not changing.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
I give burger In credit. At least they're trying, Like
they come up with all kinds of different stuff.
Speaker 4 (27:59):
They're gonna have meals celebrating SpongeBob SquarePants man, do you
how do you top?
Speaker 1 (28:04):
We have forty seven flavors of vanilla ice cream. We're
gonna test them and the best one is gonna get
out there. Like I give them, you know, props for trying,
but how has no one been able to do it?
Like I want the movie to start where it's a
guy in a room and they're doing a they're doing
the like the beginning of blind Side, when they're going
through all the different ways. Here we need the West
Coast offense to stop, uh, Lawrence Taylor, Like the guy's
clicking through the fries going we have to challenge McDonald's fries.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
I want to see that movie now. I mean talking
about just the origin story. I mean go back and
watch the Founder where you got Nick Offerman. It's got
to be now silent, higher, higher temperature, lower cook time, silent.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Through This entire conversation so far has been Alex Tycher,
likely because we're talking about fries and not something that
can extend your life if you eat it. So ty
is a potato. Where are you on this?
Speaker 11 (28:52):
Where do you want me to start? Do you agree
with the top McDonald's at the top. Really yeah, because
you're saying they're untouched, right.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
You can't. I mean you can't. I don't say it
like people don't handle the good I mean untouched, like
the ranking you're not close to be.
Speaker 11 (29:06):
If we're gonna go back to the nineties, sure, but
twenty twenty five are gonna say McDonald still has good
FRIESE you're crazy, dude, the same fries.
Speaker 6 (29:14):
No, they're not. Well they are. That makes sense because
they don't decompose. I get that.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Okay, so wait, so wait, if you travel through time
and you and you you know something that we don't.
Speaker 11 (29:22):
I'm just saying that if you think McDonald's fries are
the best, you might want to just try other fries.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Give me something that's better, Give me one that's beout.
Speaker 11 (29:28):
Okay, easily, MONSI brought one stop fries. Slap McDonald's fries.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Are you guys crazy?
Speaker 6 (29:32):
I'm crazy? Yeah, you guys.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
I mean I can get on board the RB's curly
fries with the seasons now, they're the best freezer sections.
Speaker 11 (29:42):
They're just thin and skinny, and they have sometimes too
much oil. Sometimes I don't salt, but they have too
many ingredients. You can taste it. It's not good.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
But if I go to Jack in the Box, I
don't want anything else on the menu.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
So like that, just stop just for Curly, I.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
Fink you're all crazy.
Speaker 8 (29:58):
Anything else on the menu.
Speaker 11 (29:59):
Well, mons see, I don't know. How do you guys
hate in and out fries? They're literally the potatoes, salt
and pet.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Every other fries you guys have brought up are mealy
and don't taste good talk You del taco fries they'll
taco fries are okay. The secrets okay, But the better
kept secret is the burger at Del Talk.
Speaker 11 (30:15):
Yes, wow, I'm talking about that. That is a much
that's a double secret. Oh yeah, yeah, you get that
double Dell.
Speaker 9 (30:21):
They they throw in a burrito and taco for free.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
You know the level of respect that I have for
for for the three of you with this conversation, Lee,
I still have it for Moncy and Alex with this
crazy ass wingstop? What do you mean? I mean, all
of a sudden, I see you differently, I see I
see you guys differently. Because I can't We're gonna have
to do a taste. You like fries that are absolutely awful?
Speaker 11 (30:46):
How are they awful? They're cut well, no, you can
tell they're good potatoes because they go bad quickly.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
And the dressing, the inside, that's what you lose. The
inside of a French fry, the inside of a fries.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
Do you ketchupries? You just like fries.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
There's not enough ranch in the world. I can cover that.
Not enough ranch in the world, not not ketchup.
Speaker 9 (31:09):
Or now if you if you.
Speaker 10 (31:12):
Make animal cell fries for in and out, then it
goes up ranks me. But you can't do that with
these fries. You can't do chili cheese.
Speaker 9 (31:17):
You can't.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
No, no, it's just a regular fry because you you
ramp stuff up. Look, shake shack on the list in
the second tier. Shakeshack fries.
Speaker 6 (31:25):
That's okay.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Chick fil a Chris cut fries are good.
Speaker 9 (31:29):
The Chick fil a fries.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
You don't need it. No, no, I'm still I'm still
gonna fire at people. Right, you can flick them in
because that's the best part of dipping with the waffle
fry is that if you get good, thick enough ranch,
it stays in the pores and you get much more
ranch per bite. Like that's a really good thing. But
you gotta eat it somewhat quickly because but then when
(31:52):
you get the ones that sometimes will be the cross
cut and then there's just the thin little membrane and potato,
all the bottles like all that holds it in nice.
Speaker 10 (32:00):
Which got rid of that Girls Junior, which I think
is the reason why it dropped a d because it
was better back in the day when it had the
little bit of skin on.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Sometimes you get the skin on that. But I mean,
but the fries that you guys are talking about, it's like,
I can't eat fries that look like the inside of
an uncooked shrimp. Like that's no good. It's so good
for anybody eating that much like that, where everything when
you've just mentioned fries are awful.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
Fries the best in the game actually bad out See.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
I think they worked for about three and a half
minutes that you look as you looking down your nose
on people, because it's not salted, it doesn't have the oils,
it's it's.
Speaker 6 (32:36):
I worked it in and out there.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
So you're said, oils really creepy, Yeah, because you probably
took out all the stuff that made it taste good,
and so I'm going to put in this stuff that's
gonna make it help crazy. Probably you probably changed them.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
I will not eat a burger without their fries. That
says something.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
I can't tell you the last time I ordered fries like.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
They're dining and stuff.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
I don't even get an extra crispy with the with
the animal stuff. See what an extra crispy doesn't work there.
It's like you got to get like nuclear crispy, like
I would you to, you know, fly this close to
some test that's happening and then bring it back and
then maybe it's good enough. Actually, when we do live
in the state of California, that's not hard to find.
I can't do it.
Speaker 10 (33:15):
Speaking of California, a lot of this is regil Can
you guys put me on game on any of these
that I've not seen.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
I've never been to a McDonald's regional wells works. Apparently
there's a one down.
Speaker 9 (33:25):
What is crystal? I don't know crystal.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Hey, hey, hey, Stilbert. That's that's completely different. That's a
different prospect I've had.
Speaker 9 (33:31):
I've had water Burger, but I think that's overrated.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
The crystal ones are the blue color. Jesse Pinkman makes
them blue for everybody.
Speaker 9 (33:38):
Yeah, yeah, the blue crystal.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Yeah, that's right, secret ingredients chili powder. Uh yeah, uh
was it jacksonbi Zaxby's No, but you guys start going
Cannes isn't bad, But I mean, really it's those are
also really mealy, never cooked overall. That's why I agree
with the top with with McDonald's at the top, because
(33:59):
there's no other There's nothing even close. There's nothing even close.
Like even you get to the RB's and the curly fries,
I'll get like there's one there's one part of it
where it all just coagulates together. It looks like one
super fry, like a vultron. Like, wow, now I just
got to eat all off the sides of this.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
But if you do the right thing, you can animate
that in the cool ai video and go viral. Uh yeah, okay,
but he looks like Megatron. Yeah, but then I got
to eat fries that I'm not a big fan. I'd
rather have fries, Jason.
Speaker 11 (34:24):
I can prove to you that you are overthinking how
good McDonald's fries are. If I bought five different fries
that look like McDonald's and put them without like a
description of what's what, you wouldn't tell me which one
of McDonald's.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Oh sure, I would. It's like it's like the it's
like the coke versus Pepsi test from the nineteen eighty.
Speaker 6 (34:39):
Well that's different.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Yeah, okay, yeah, well this is a RC colub. This
is all pepsy look at taste better the Pepsi challenge
from the nineteen.
Speaker 6 (34:46):
Eight promise you would get it wrong.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Yeah, I think I get it right.
Speaker 6 (34:49):
I promise you.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
I think I get it right. I get McDonald's right.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Stop.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Hey, what what's the one in this in the in
the in the red holder with the yellow M. That's McDonald's.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Got it.
Speaker 6 (34:57):
I'm telling you.
Speaker 11 (34:57):
I put Jack in the box, Carls, June McDonald, Burger
King and whatever else.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
You said that properly. Yes, you said it like like
like John Amos in uh in coming to America and
everybody on the south side.
Speaker 6 (35:10):
She can promise you those five you're not guessing it.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Stop stop. If you gave me other fries of maybe
something I haven't eaten, like that's regional someplace like Lee
was talking about, maybe you might get me there, but
not stuff that I've had that I know is bad.
Speaker 9 (35:22):
I don't not anything They sneak in a few diner
fries in here.
Speaker 6 (35:26):
Most of this is.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Diner fries are awful. All they're all made, They're not
cooked enough, and again you just have to drown them
in ranch to be able to eat. You know, I
may as well just the French fries. Keat the French
fries and just give me like a big glass of ranch.
I'm gonna drink it. That's what I'm gonna have, rather
have that.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Drown in it.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
That's true.
Speaker 9 (35:48):
They do give you, well, at least they give you
a lot of it.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, they do give you a big but I don't
even know how to respond.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
What is? What is? What is?
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Sam Jackson teltre Vault in pulp fiction when they're talking
about dipping the French fries and mans I seen him. Man,
they drowned that blank. Yeah, that's how you have to
have it. Well, there you go. You should catch up
on Tulsa King because Sam Jackson shows up.
Speaker 11 (36:05):
Jason, I will leave you with one thing, Okay, next
time you ever get fries from somewhere, you don't like
trying with curry ketchup?
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Now see that if you mutate the ketchup. But I
can be on board.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Is it steph curry ketchup.
Speaker 11 (36:20):
No, you just have to make it yourself. You have
to carry curry. But I'm just saying you do. Nobody
sells curry ketchups. And I got my own curry just
so you know. I got I've got a couple of
stores I'll get just please. Yeah, I got a good
place down by me.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
So while the French fry ranking debate continues, TNF also continues,
and Monte Bolanos has what's trending in the wide world
of wingstop and Thursday Night Football?
Speaker 8 (36:45):
Yeah, in Costa Rica, back to French fries in Costa Rica,
it's uh ketchup and Manny's And the ketchup in Costa
Rica is a little bit sweeter than it is here.
Speaker 9 (36:54):
But Manonnai's Like you.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Go to McDonald's coaster mayonnaise, Like that's not something that's
been around here for a long time.
Speaker 8 (37:00):
I can't go to McDonald's here and get a pump
of mayonnaise and a pump of ketchup for my get
a whopper?
Speaker 1 (37:07):
What's a special sauce in all American burger catchem mayonnaise?
What's special spuff for you? Thousand Islands separate as a dip.
It's not normal here, go bus together. I just gave
you fast time to Ridgemon High, which was nineteen seventy eight.
Go back and look at that.
Speaker 9 (37:20):
And Net's catch them a mayonnaise great nineteen seventy eight.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Thank you is like.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Catchmaine is a brand new thing. Know what she was
talking about, how there's a sweetness and a different and also.
Speaker 8 (37:32):
Like so right now though, right now, in today's and age,
can I walk into someone and get a pump of
mayonnaise because I'm gonna dip it.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
In my fry.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
That's not around here?
Speaker 1 (37:40):
How need to go into Arby's. You can get that
at Arby's. Sure, and Horsey Sauce Arby's and uh uh Wendy's.
I don't like you.
