a guy named Robin Ficker Fickler. He used to be

at the area. So that car he had that was

one point the security even treated him bad out there.
You know what's not getting treated bad? And when somebody's
gonna get treated b excuse me, I said they're wrong.
Someboy's gonna get treated bad in these rivalry games that
we have said up tomorrow, we have a handful of
them that mean anything. And it just got me to think,
and I want to have a little fun. Tonight's Black
Friday's holiday. You got people ride around and try robberies
always get people going. And Shay, I asked you a

three or four? Are your favorite sports? Are you think
that they're like four of the best sports rivalries in
all of space?

I want you to know something before we start. Out
of all these rivalries, I don't think there's too many
left ever since we've changed the conferences, even though there's
some I haven't in professional sports, huh. But ever since
we changed the conferences, we've lost so many, so many
of the robberies. I mean, I didn't even put that,
like Oklahoma and Nebraska, which you know how big that
was back in the Big Eight before my good health.

Being back in the Big Eight, that was eumongous.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
We would watch Okahoma Nebraska if both teams were all
and ten, just for the pageant of it all. So,
you know, I don't know if there's too many valies
left that if both teams were zero and ten, if
I wasn't a fan of that, I'd say, well, I
got to see this game as I just didn't well
give Yankee's Yankee's Red Sox I still think is number one.

Well, yeah, because it has to do with the city
of New York, Boston die hard fans there. If I
could put Philadelphia, and I would, But to me, the
Yankees and the Red Sox, especially for everything they've been through.
To me, that's part of the rivalry also, and they're
both so you know, obviously most of the time they're

going to make the playoffs. So Yankee's Red Sox to me,
and because of the fans, they're number one. Michigan Ohio State,
I still have to put them in number two. People
care about it. It's a big deal. The winner goes
to the playoffs most of the time. It's called the
game for a reason, right, And well, I'm not worried
about the title they put on it, though, I just

you know, I think people around the country care more
about that game than any other college football game out there.
And my third one is Duke North Carolina. That's the
college basketball one. Though I really don't think that people
care as much anymore about that one like they used
to be but that's still the premier one in college basketball.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah, now you're wrong about that one. I'm attached to
that program right after you played it. Know, Duke Carolina
is still war it's still hatred, it still matters, and
it's the biggest college basketball rivalry. There's not a college
basketball rivalry bigger than Duke, you know, a big one
because people still care about it.

The kids camp out for like what months to get
good seats for that kid exactly.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
And in quick story, I walked through coach Kville one
year going to see Carolina play Duke at Cameron on
Duke's senior night. Is the year Kendall's sophomore year, So Zeller, Harrison, Barnes,
John Henson were all sophomores. Tyler Zeller was the only
senior on that team and wanted to walk right through

coach Cavill to get to the to the entrance the
arena to get into the game.

And it was a really cool experience, even though I
was an enemy.

Just to walk through all these kids who have been
laying out here for days half from drunk as hell.

the rivalries we have. You won't have the number one
rivalry in all of sports.

currently happening. Sun Devils Go Devils, We love it. I
was obviously I went to Asu and Ar and we
went to UFA, so this is a little close to
home there. I'm a Browns fan, so no real rivalries

there for me. I mean, yeah, you could say the Steelers,
but Ben Roethlisberg are kind of the city versus.

As far as recent years, people have to remember both Shinbeckler,
his first ever coaching assistant job was where at Ohio State.
He's an Ohio guy. That's why he was able to

and Oklahom. That's another big one that I think has
gotten lost for some reason. But it's still a huge

you talk to most people that cover college football.

it's always a really regional other than Michigan. Listen, all
college robberies are original regional. Excuse me, except in my opinion,
do Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State. I think the nation care

Those are Army Navy, Like you said that Army Navies well,
of course is national to military service academies.

Uh, Baseball, I wrote down Yankees, Red Sox, but I
don't know baseball. It's just one of those sports where
I don't want to I never say it's dying. I
try to stay away from that. It's just it's it's
I think arrogance have lost interests over about a fifteen
to twenty year span, and then it started to pick
back up about four or five years ago. Then the
rule changes, the pitch clock, the bigger bases and not

being able to throw over the first base more than
two times. I think that did bring some fans back
because they try to be really innovated about it. Yeah,
and I think they did bring some fans back. But
I based Yankees Red Sox. I'll be honest with you,
I didn't watch. I haven't watched the Yankees Red Sox
game in five years.

You guys sat down and watched all nine innings of it.

except for maybe the Dodgers.

We didn't bring up the Dodgers too. No Dodgers Giants.
But once again, unless you live in La, how many
Dodgers Giants games have you made sure to sit down
Dodger and watch a full nine innings. You don't get
up in the fourth quarter of the Ohios date Michigan game.
Unless it's a law. You don't leave the iron Bowl
and run to the store to get milk and eggs

in the fourth quarter, third quarter. If it's the club,
you don't do that. But you you missed some of
these baseball robberies in these baseball games because it's just.

for example, is going to be hosting college Football's Big
Twelve Championship game a week from Saturday. Regular season ends tomorrow, people,
except for the Army Navy game, of course, but Texas
Tech gets in if it wins its finale as expected Saturday,

and number eleven BYU gets in with a win in
its finale. Texas Tech already destroyed by You Had to
Head about three weeks ago twenty nine to seven. In
the big picture, Texas Tech is ranked number five in
the country. Only the teams that finish in the top
four in the final Playoff Committee rankings a week from
Sunday get a first round by well number three rank

Texas A and M suffered its first defeat of the
season tonight. Going into this weekend, Texas Tech would have
been opening a playoff hosting a first rounder against Tulane,
the best of the smaller ofference teams. North Texas, by

Over in the ACC, SMU will be in the championship
game with a victory this weekend, and Virginia will be
also with a victory on Saturday. Number twelve rank Miami
will likely not be in the ACC title game because
they've lost two conference games this season, including at SMU
in overtime, So keep in mind for the twelve team
playoffs that starts next month, the five highest rank conference

champions will automatically make the field. Miami will likely not
be the ACC's champion. The SEC championship game could have
had Alabama against number three ranked Texas A and M,
which was eleven and zero, although first Aggie's had to
finish the regular season at Texas tonight and lost to
the Longhorns twenty seven seventeen. So what the Aggies lost,

Georgia gets in Instead. Georgia beat rival Georgia Tech during
the day, and the Big Ten title game is expected
to have number one Ohio State against number two Indiana,
which won tonight. That game will be in Indianapolis. But first,
the Buck Guys play this Saturday at number fifteen Michigan.
And Ohio State's lost to the Wolverines four straight years,
and the Buck Guys had been ranked number two in

the country for each of those games. By the way,
as I mentioned Texas Tech, I must say before I go,
I must mention, of course, who's the most famous Texas
Tech alum in the NFL. It's Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback.
There was one incredible game that Mahomes had in college.
He played three years at Texas Tech.

Is that the way Baker Mayfield in Oklahoma in twenty
sixteen beating the Ray Raiders and Patrick Mahomes sixty six

a guy named Robin Ficker Fickler. He used to be
an attorney and he'd go to all the Washington back

them that mean anything. And it just got me to think,

of all these rivalries, I don't think there's too many
left ever since we've changed the conferences, even though there's
some I haven't in professional sports, huh. But ever since
we changed the conferences, we've lost so many, so many
of the robberies. I mean, I didn't even put that,
like Oklahoma and Nebraska, which you know how big that
was back in the Big Eight before my good health.

Being back in the Big Eight, that was eumongous.

We would watch Okahoma Nebraska if both teams were all
and ten, just for the pageant of it all. So,
you know, I don't know if there's too many valies
left that if both teams were zero and ten, if
I wasn't a fan of that, I'd say, well, I
got to see this game as I just didn't well
give Yankee's Yankee's Red Sox I still think is number one.

Well, yeah, because it has to do with the city
of New York, Boston die hard fans there. If I
could put Philadelphia, and I would, But to me, the
Yankees and the Red Sox, especially for everything they've been through.
To me, that's part of the rivalry also, and they're
both so you know, obviously most of the time they're

going to make the playoffs. So Yankee's Red Sox to me,
and because of the fans, they're number one. Michigan Ohio State,
I still have to put them in number two. People
care about it. It's a big deal. The winner goes
to the playoffs most of the time. It's called the
game for a reason, right, And well, I'm not worried
about the title they put on it, though, I just

you know, I think people around the country care more
about that game than any other college football game out there.
And my third one is Duke North Carolina. That's the
college basketball one. Though I really don't think that people
care as much anymore about that one like they used
to be but that's still the premier one in college basketball.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah, now you're wrong about that one. I'm attached to
that program right after you played it. Know, Duke Carolina
is still war it's still hatred, it still matters, and
it's the biggest college basketball rivalry. There's not a college
basketball rivalry bigger than Duke, you know, a big one
because people still care about it.

The kids camp out for like what months to get
good seats for that kid exactly.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
And in quick story, I walked through coach Kville one
year going to see Carolina play Duke at Cameron on
Duke's senior night. Is the year Kendall's sophomore year, So Zeller, Harrison, Barnes,
John Henson were all sophomores. Tyler Zeller was the only
senior on that team and wanted to walk right through

coach Cavill to get to the to the entrance the
arena to get into the game.

And it was a really cool experience, even though I
was an enemy.

Just to walk through all these kids who have been

home there. I'm a Browns fan, so no real rivalries

college robberies are original regional. Excuse me, except in my opinion,
do Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State. I think the nation care

Uh, Baseball, I wrote down Yankees, Red Sox, but I
don't know baseball. It's just one of those sports where
I don't want to I never say it's dying. I
try to stay away from that. It's just it's it's
I think arrogance have lost interests over about a fifteen
to twenty year span, and then it started to pick
back up about four or five years ago. Then the
rule changes, the pitch clock, the bigger bases and not

being able to throw over the first base more than
two times. I think that did bring some fans back
because they try to be really innovated about it. Yeah,
and I think they did bring some fans back. But
I based Yankees Red Sox. I'll be honest with you,
I didn't watch. I haven't watched the Yankees Red Sox
game in five years.

But once again, unless you live in La, how many
Dodgers Giants games have you made sure to sit down
Dodger and watch a full nine innings. You don't get
up in the fourth quarter of the Ohios date Michigan game.
Unless it's a law. You don't leave the iron Bowl
and run to the store to get milk and eggs

you don't do that. But you you missed some of
these baseball robberies in these baseball games because it's just.

Tech gets in if it wins its finale as expected Saturday,

and number eleven BYU gets in with a win in
its finale. Texas Tech already destroyed by You Had to

the big picture, Texas Tech is ranked number five in
the country. Only the teams that finish in the top
four in the final Playoff Committee rankings a week from

playoffs that starts next month, the five highest rank conference

champions will automatically make the field. Miami will likely not
be the ACC's champion. The SEC championship game could have
had Alabama against number three ranked Texas A and M,
which was eleven and zero, although first Aggie's had to
finish the regular season at Texas tonight and lost to

Georgia gets in Instead. Georgia beat rival Georgia Tech during
the day, and the Big Ten title game is expected
