(00:29):
How ready or Harmon and I for Game one of
the NBA Finals. We just spent the last four minutes
watching the Intercontinental title match between Ricky the Dragon Steamboat
and the Honky talk Man from eighty nine. Controversial m
at eighty nine. Yeah, fro that's about right. Yeah, where
the eaves looked like they pinned the other. Yeah. No,
(00:51):
Actually we're going all the way back to nineteen eighty
seven in Buffalo, New York. I don't know Didy pin
him with the inter Continental jam. I don't think he knows.
I don't think he deserves that boat. And then Jesse
Ventura is breaking down. He's like no, by virtue of
his effort at WrestleMania. Harmon just goes. We even had
a game on TV in like a half hour. Yeah,
(01:12):
here watch this and shouts his computer.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Here.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Look it's Ricky the Dragon Steamboat and the Honkey talk
Man from making his way into the arena. Okay, we'll
watch im by his manager, Colonel Jimmy Harts. Okay, I
mean you didn't even need to look up Honkey talk Man.
Oh shake, rattling roll? What he would do the hipswivel shake,
I like when he does the hips. Wait he didn't
(01:36):
do it. There he was. He was a lot of fun. Man.
He was very underrated, like those two guys, Ricky the
Dragon Steamboat so incredibly overrated. Honkey talk Man incredibly underrated.
See like he said, Hey, we're gonna take a wrestled.
What are we gonna do. We're gonna be some on Elvis.
That's gonna work. Let's go, let's go. And hammer Valentine
dressed up with him and they were tagged, and he
(01:57):
hated everything because you had to but the black hair
and whatever, and where the rhyanstone jumpsuit. But like the
Golden Age right here, I mean, I keep telling you
that that's got to be a bit. We got to
just start getting these wrestlers on, go to some of
these cons and just get our ten minute interviews with
these guys, to get the random stories because they're there, man,
(02:20):
They're there for us to pay take part in our
history and legend. And yes, of course there were no
games lives, so I needed a fix. He's the hockey
talk man. He's cool, he's cocky, he's bad. Uh so
big night tonight, night one of the Stanley Cup Final. Yeah,
(02:40):
Hurricanes lose. I turned the page, though I turned the
page tomorrow it's about the NBA Finals, Like, oh, I
know between that and the Mets. You're just like, how
do I gener choose the Mets just so far below?
But I mean, but still, it's like, that's all I
had at the end of the night. Right, Hurricanes lost, Okay,
late game West Coast. Now Mets think errors. Everybody's terrible, Okay,
But I turned the pack because tomorrow I'm already deep
in Nick's mental prep for the game tomorrow night. I
(03:04):
am deep in my prep for tomorrow night. So as
a fan talk show host general lunatic, how do you
start getting yourself mentally ready? I mean, are you gonna?
Is there an order of films you have to watch
where it's where like the like the stuff that normally
goes into my brain, like I think he still goes
(03:25):
into my brain. But there's that Nix Nicks Game one.
It's like a pulse, yeah, like behind it, like you're trying,
like when you're trying to deal with a headache and
do things at the same time. Like you it's hard
to just ignore that there like that's but this is
more like a just a like a tingle in the
brain that's going Knicks Knicks, Knicks, Nick. Have you laid
out your outfit? Like what are you wearing tomorrow? And
I mean, are we gonna get a jo? Well? Yeah, yeah,
(03:48):
I go. I got my Knicks.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
How do you?
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I got my good luck Nix? How are you ready
for tomorrow? No? I got my orange socks ready for tomorrow.
Now I'm good. I'm ready for tomorrow. I'm read, ready
for get ready for Game one. Uh. Now, we'll have
more on Game one coming up in about fifteen minutes.
Big stuff to break down, including why I'm not afraid
of Wemby. But the highlight that's going to take up
everybody's time between now end Game one comes to his
(04:13):
courtesy from Major League Baseball. Tonight, the Rockies beating the
Angels eight to two. Well, did people even go to
the game? Are you telling me this is a game
that nobody attended? No, No, there were fans in this game.
But the Rockies were up seven to nothing early in
this game against the A's. Bottom of the fourth inning,
(04:34):
Castro hits a home run, three run homer, seven nothing Rockies. No,
it escalated quickly. Yeah. Yeah. So Rumfield comes up next,
and they're still showing the replay of Castro's three run homer,
which was to right field, Joe Adell going back to
the wall and not there. Uh so they kind of
(04:55):
join Rumfield's home run kind of in progress, right, Like
they're still showing the replay of it. But uh, it's
about what happened when Rumfield's ball got to the outfield.
That is going to be the highlight everybody sees for
the next twenty four Yeah, back to back. Here goes
t J.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Rubfieldswart the wall and it bounces off the cup of
at Dell and TJ's in a second a catch all
on the bounce back.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Like, I'm not kidding, this might be a home what
I was saying, Yeah, there it is. That's a home run. Yeah,
Angels TV on the call. It is a home run
because Joe Adell range to the right center field gap.
Joe Adell more famously robbed three home runs in a
game on April fourth, Right, Joeydell's a pretty good players,
(05:50):
really good young players, A good hitter is a good outfielder.
Except this is a play that now is going to
be what jo Adell's about. Yeah, now it's attendance twenty six,
twenty six were there for it, twenty six four twenty
six got to see Joe Adele range to the gap
and right center field on the warning track, put up
his glove to catch the ball. The ball deflects a
(06:10):
tiny bit off of his glove, hits jo Adele in
the head and bounces over the fence for a home run.
Hits jo Adell's swat. There's no mistaking it. There's no
well maybe that Nope, This hits jo Adele in the
head and bounces over the fence, just to scant thirty
three years after Jose Canseco was the most famous person
(06:31):
to have a ball hit off his head and go
for a home run, showing you that time in fact,
Mike Harmon is a flat circle is a flat circle.
We've had some start to theorize that perhaps it'll be
seven years until the next one, like a transference, because
Kinseco War thirty three a Delaware seven. So seven years
from now, hopefully you and I are here to clown
(06:52):
someone who has the same thing happened. But we've watched
a Dell, long heralded prospect for the Angels start to
come into his own power there at the plate, and
certainly the heroics in the outfield, and then you see this,
and it was happening at the same time the chaos
was going on Stanley Cup Game one, so divided attention.
(07:14):
I'm like, did I see what I just saw? Any
Conseco that yeah? Oh yeah, yeah, I said first, like,
all right, it was off his glove. No, it's off
his head. And well I been out to you know,
because you and I knew what I wait for. Uh,
you know how Berman would would report this?
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (07:27):
How how would Berman grab this onej Clearly it's now
time for Rose Canseco to call Joe Adele and say
I did it. Now, Adele, someone like you has done it.
Also on TJ TJ. Clearly Adele saying hello, the ball
(07:47):
hit me in the head and bounced over the fence
for a home run. TJ. Clearly, fans are laughing rolling
in the aisles while I was rolling in the deep.
See this ball hit off Joe Adel's head and Adele
the ball goes for a home run? Oh no, oh, boy,
(08:08):
should keep going to say hello from the other side.
DJ okay, come on, no, no, no, I'm like, I
already gave you a good white guy, gave you the
good ones man. I mean that was that was all
the good Joe. I figure you had at least three
or four still holstra DJ clearly, clearly, rumor has it
(08:30):
the ball hit off Adel's head and bounced over the
fence for a home run. Oh no, I know you
like that one. No, it's good. Is there any chance
Jay no hometown glory for Adele tonight as the ball
hits him in the head and bounces over the fence.
Is there any chance that in DJ clearly, instead of
(08:52):
chasing fly balls, he should have been chasing pavements because
of the ball hitting off Adel's head for a home run.
No one will go easy on me tonight, says Adele
following the game. DJ. It wasn't a skyfall but a
baseball that fell that hit me in the head and
(09:15):
bounce over the field for a whole skyfall makes an appearance.
Oh boy, okay, all right, so there, alright, I said,
is done. So is there any way that Adele would
be a good sport about this? Lean into it. Let
jose Canseco make a couple of bucks. I made you
at tops now card. Oh sure she did use both
(09:36):
of them having the ball bounce off their heads. I'm
telling you, man, you got damn there. There'll be some
unlicensed product guarantee you. Jose Canseco has been booked for
the Dan Patrick Show tomorrow morning. Maybe our two is
if jose is on the West coast. Yeah, because it's early,
he's still in it this way, but maybe our two.
I'm sure Paul Papps called right away Josey out of
if you saw what happened tonight in the game. Joe
Adell called me back, I don't think the ball went
(09:58):
over the fence. And Paul pass is on the phone
calling up as I can say, going, oh say yeah,
hey man, you know it's shave up your head in
the in the bat gate. Flip it up and there's
a phone ready to be uh I mean, you know,
two big things off of this. Number one is that
I really, I really am surprised because you know, baseballs,
(10:18):
when they hit you in the head hurt. Yeah. And
you know, wearing a baseball, you know, the crown of
the uh, the crown of the of the hat is
going to protect you a little bit, and your hair
protect you. But this is still a baseball from a
really high vantage point coming down and hitting you in
the head. And I know that it deflected a time
(10:39):
but off, but that's still but that's still got a hurt.
And yet both Adele and Konseka were both just talking
about it, and Konseko was laughing about it after hit
me in the head and bounced over the fence, like
like I can't believe that these guys just go right
back to playing. Yeah, no, all good, Like nobody going
out there, No no concussion check on either of these guys,
like I mean, Konseko in ninety three, it didn't happen,
but like, no, yeah, I'm just gonna go play. Yeah,
(11:01):
ball hit me in ahead, but I'm fine, I'm good.
I'm gonna keep going playing. Like that really surprised me.
The man, I need a minute, I got hit in
the head with the ball. Well when we're not looking No,
it's looking at the ball a whole way. So let
me in the head one of those things you try
to shake off because the the shame that will accompany it,
not only if you gave up the home run, but
if you were also hurt from it. I maybe a
(11:23):
little bit of a way to come off the field. Hey,
I'm okay, okay, yeah, I'm not playing anymore. No, you can.
That's got to be the probably the longest five and
a half innings of Joe Adell's career going. I gotta
play the rest of this game that we're losing eight
to nothing, where the ball hit me in the head
and bounced over the fence, and then I'm gonna have
to answer questions about it after unless I do a
Mitchell Robinson and not show up at the press conference.
(11:44):
You know, it just takes. That's why I'm just take
me out of the game. I'm leaving the field. Well,
I noticed to look at I'm going to get whether
you're going to get looked at or not leave the fields.
I'm done. I'm done. I'm done for the night. I'll
see you tomorrow. See you guys tomorrow. At least it
was a home game where fans are happy because of
the performance and are well served by the owner. And oh,
I don't know that anybody's been happy in Anaheim about
(12:05):
the performance for a while. Performance performance. I and you know,
the thing is about Konseko. I was a production assistant
in the ESPN. It was my first week there in
nineteen ninety three when Konseko got hit in the head
with the ball right one of the most famous highlights
of all time. They called me for the job on
Mother's Day or the day after Mother's Day, and I
(12:28):
took the job and I left in a week. I
left Syracuseton week and I was there for I was
there at ESPN as a production system for a week.
I'm in I mean, I'm in Sports Center meetings and
my head is spinning like this is the greatest thing
in the world. And Konseko gets hit in the head,
and I remember him saying following the game in his interview, going, man,
ESPN's going to play this every day for a month,
and ESPN Sports Center decided, Yeah, it's we're gonna do.
(12:50):
So every show would open up with the two anchors
saying hello and welcome to Sports Center, you know. And look,
Dan Patrick was doing Sports Center back then, but like
the six thirty Sports Center, the early one would open
up with like Charlie Steiner and Bob Lee or whoever
it was, and they had the thing, we called it,
the giz that was behind them that shows, you know, highlights.
(13:11):
While they're talking, they're like, hey, hello, welcome to Sports Center.
Coming up today, we have blah blah blah blah blah.
Of course, this is day three of ose Konseco being
featured on Sports Center after saying that I'll be on
ESPN every day for a month. And so I was
actually in the Rundown meeting, whereas like day twenty one,
and I was in the meeting for like the six
thirty Sports Center. The producer and the director and a
(13:31):
cording producer were there, like all the people in charge
of the shows. They're going, should we still show the
Conseco thing? Like, I don't know, are we still Does
it look like we're just making fun of the guy now,
is it? They said, ah, you know, yeah, let's just stop.
So they stopped at like twenty one games, and it
became a story like like the next day in the newspaper,
because you know the newspaper sure, well, yeah, it'd be right. Oh.
ESPN stops there, Konseko streak at twenty one game days
(13:54):
or whatever it was for you know, him not showing.
And I'm sitting there going, man, I was in that meeting.
I'm a big wig now, Like I'm like, hey, you
know I would have been like Perez Hilton before Perez Hilton,
Like I was in that meeting. I know exactly how
that happened.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Like that.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
That seemed to be a pretty big conversation for that to,
you know, to just go, yeah, we're not going to
show we we were just embarrassing. We got you know,
we got mileage out of it, but let let's just
not do it. Until they stopped it after like twenty
one days. And I was there. I was there. I
was in the meeting where it was decided. I mean
I didn't speak in the meeting. I was just there
going okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, And they all talked
about it and they decided we're not going to do it.
(14:28):
And then the next day it was a news it
was like Ripkins streak ending, Oh didn't run it all
day yesterday. Okay, did any of you take a lap
and shake hands with any I know it wasn't It
wasn't that kind of same. I have a ticket stubbed
for that. Do you really? Yeah, you should sell that.
That's worth a lot of it. I need him to
sign it. Oh, what are the odd you're gonna get
him to sign it? I think forgive it to me.
(14:50):
I'll sign it. Say it's Kyle Ripkins. Cal Ripkins is
pretty I can learned cal Ripkins signature in probably five minutes.
Don't know that you want to be saying, man, I can.
There's a uh abnetha of forged count of n JR
signatures on the marketplace. There was a Yahoo exactly that
(15:13):
was one of my favorite is that nineties. One of
my favorite episodes of West Wing was when the president
was out of town and he wasn't available, and the
and the and and Leo, the chief of staff needed
him to sign a document and his secretary goes, you know,
just no, you didn't ask, But I can sign the
president's name pretty good. And he goes on a document
that removed to someone from power. Yeah, or do you
(15:35):
think that would be a bad idea. I was like, Okay,
there we go. Maybe a bridge too far. I mean,
normally it's a hey signed little little Jimmy knucklehead road
running mister president. Do you like stuff? Yeah? And sign it? Yeah, Jimmy. Great. Now,
Luckily for Joe Adell, this will be a big headline
for a day. But Consiko because he was such an
(15:58):
icon and a big that like okay, can send a
bad outfielder like okay, this is this is going to
live forever, Joe. Soon, that's going to be you know,
we've seen, you know, we people are going to show
the Conseko thing just as much as the Joe Adela
now just as much you're gonna sit opens up the
can of worms. You know. Jose was right, Yeah, that's
about a lot of stuff. He's also going to be
in a White Sox alumni home run derby. Yeah, but
(16:20):
don't forget listen to on the Dan Patrick Show tomorrow. Absolutely,
he'll tell you all about it. Exit up about a
Fresco exit Swallen Dome, Jason Smith Mike Harmon live from
the Fox Sports Radio Studios. Coming up next, we get
into our breakdown of the NBA Finals. What I Am
scared and not scared about for the Knicks and the Spurs.
And here's a hint, I'm not scared of Wemby. That's
(16:43):

Subscribe, hit that sums up icon and coming away Fox

Mike Harmon, where we are now less than twenty four
hours away. They are like nineteen hours away from Game
one of the NBA Finals. The New York Knicks and
(17:51):
the NBA Finals featuring Wemby Wow, that's the official name.
Is that really what we're gon we're gonna dismiss, Yes,
the official rest did that? I know a lot of
folks have that. It's all about legacy and history and
all of these exciting things that you're gonna throw on
wem Bin Yama here at twenty two years old, because
(18:11):
we're throwing it back to nineteen ninety nine. Yeah, I
mean the New York Knicks NBA Finals featuring Wemby, just
like it's a song that's all featuring Wemby. No see,
nowadays you'd be featuring more than one person. Yeah. But okay, y'all, yeah,
this guy and with and but uh, I do say
(18:33):
going in number one, this will be the first chance
tomorrow Jayleen Brunson will have to to prove Becky Hammond
and Draymond Green wrong that I don't you know, the
small guys can't win the NBA Finals. Yeah, okay, uh,
you know, I want to just say for this really quick,
I shrugged my shoulders. Hater's gonna hate obviously, Becky Hammond
hates Jalen Brunson. And because there's no reason to go
(18:55):
to double down on your take and basically insult him
like he hasn't done anything, and Draymond just hates everything.
So I mean, I mean, what am I gonna say?
He goes on his whole it's the East. Shuggar it
out of the eat, shuggar it out of the shoot. Dude,
you can't even get out of the playing round in
the West anymore. Okay, But Draymond's gotta Draymond's gonna understand.
You can't just hate everything, right, you got you can't,
Like I get that, hey, negativity sells all this, and
(19:17):
there's time certainly where hey, this was raw, this was
what we get. But you can't just hate everything. And
I feel like he blanketly hates everything. And I'm like,
okay that people are gonna get tired of that after
a little while. So okay, you can't say anything a
team getting to the NBA finals. We can't say that
that's an achievement. Okay, got it, got it, Becky Hammond,
got got it? Raymond? Well, but from her side, like
(19:39):
it becomes the until you've won it, you haven't won it,
Like I can understand why you double down and look
you die on the hill. And then it gives him
an opportunity win lose your draw, you get invited back. Well,
it's all no, it's all oh I wanted. The only
way that I feel like I lose is if the
(19:59):
team actually wins the NBA Championship, right, I can't I
win every other way, like, no matter how far he gets,
no matter what they do, no, no, no, no, no,
I'm right as long as they don't win. I mean, really,
only one team succeeds every year, if you want to
say it that way. Only one team succeeds every year. Oh, yes,
there was only one. But there's also plenty of teams
(20:20):
that have great, successful years that you could look back
and say, we didn't win a championship, but boy, that
was a great year. There's a handful of teams every
year in every sport you could say that for now.
There some teams where hey we you know, you didn't
play well, you blew it, You had a chance to win. Hey,
this season didn't go You've built everything up and acquired
players and assets, like right now, we could say it
(20:40):
without hesitation if the Rams don't make it back to
the super Bowl at SOFI, it's a lot of for
not right. I mean, you're the favorite and then you
went and did what everybody said in the NBA when
when teams were building their big threes, that you you
went all in and you know you stack the deck
(21:02):
as it were. Yeah, Now, when you go to game one,
what scares me? What doesn't scare me? You're gonna think
I'm crazy. But Wemby doesn't scare me. Right, as long
as the Knicks can keep him from being Game one
of the Western Conference Finals Wemby where he's on a tear,
and I don't think they're gonna give anybody a MVP trophy.
I don't think the Knicks are gonna raise the ist
(21:24):
banner or right before Game three in Madison Square Garden
to piss off Wemby. As long as he's not Game
one Wemby where he controls and he's involved in every
facet of the game. Wemby is not my main concern
because the Thunder were a great matchup for the Spurs.
The Thunder had one scorer, Sga, and when he had
(21:46):
trouble getting in the paint, he shot horribly. The entire series.
Nobody else able to make shots. Great matchup for the Spurs.
Knicks not a great matchup for the Spurs because the
Knicks have much better score balance. If Jalen Brunson gets
put in a blender by Steph Castle, which is really
my big concern is that if that happens, I'm actually
(22:09):
looking at the other side of it saying, Okay, well,
it's not gonna be Brunson with a big NBA Finals.
It's gonna be Bridges, or it's gonna be Anonobe, or
it's gonna be Heart, or it's gonna be Karl Anthony Towns.
The depth of scoring that the Knicks have, they have
they have four other guys that can really score well,
and Heart not as well as the other guys, but
you know, three guys can really score well, and then
you have guys coming off the bench like Shammick hit
(22:30):
a bunch of shots and Duce McBride. The Knicks are
a bad matchup for the Spurs, and I don't think
people are understanding that this is a lot different than
what we saw in the last round, Whereas the Knicks,
I am sure, are gonna exhaust Wemby because we saw
in the last In this last round Wemby might be
getting that gas tank, might be hitting towards empty because
(22:51):
his minutes were down over the course of the season
to keep him healthy. Now, all of a sudden, he's
playing forty minutes a night. You are as deep as
you are gonna get into the NBA playoffs. Is this
a seven game series where Wenby's gonna be able to
feel like he's fresh and rejuvenated. No, this is the
Spurs trying to hang on. I am sure the Knicks
are gonna get him moving all over the court, especially
with Karl Anthony Towns being facilitating at the top of
(23:12):
the key. That plays into what they want to do.
They're gonna get Wemby all over the floor and exhaust him.
Like I said, unless Wemby somehow turns turns it up
a notch and gets back to Game one Wemby in
the Western Conference Finals. That doesn't scare me. Now, Dylan
Harper playing the best basketball of his career coming off
the bench. He's the guy that can light it up.
The Spurs are a really good team, right de Aaron Fox.
(23:35):
They have a lot of guys can make things happen. Right,
But as far as Wemby being this, Oh my god,
I'm so scared of Wemby, I'm not really Because as
long as you can stop him from there. The way
the Knicks offense is put together and the way their
person personnel is, the matchup favors them, and so much
of the of the NBA Playoffs is really about matchups.
You could be a great team in the regular season,
(23:55):
but boy, we play that that seventh seed that gives
us trouble because of the way they play, because of
their length, or because of their defensive prowess, whatever it is. Hey,
this is a bad matchwork. They'd be a worse matchup
for a different team. We'd be a better matchup for
a different team. But I don't think people are understanding
that the Knicks can force a really bad matchup offensively
with the Spurs. No, it's the fun chess match, right.
(24:17):
Will the Knicks continue to play at the offensive level
that they did through their playoff run to date? Well,
now we get the test, right, you got the unanimous
defensive player of the year, you got a physical guards Defensively,
that'll make life a little more difficult than James Harden
did for Jalen Brunson in company. Let's just call it
(24:38):
what it is. So youth and that opportunity for Webbin Yama,
the curiosity is how much he's hanging on the perimeter
early or do they try to force the matter, because
we have seen Karl Anthony Towns get into fall trouble,
and yes you have Mitchell Robinson, but one compromise to
(24:59):
whatever level because of the hand, the nebulous hand injury,
but also the idea that okay, now you're playing a
different game because you are deficient, and that all right,
we can put him on the line and and play ball.
Stop all right, just just follow him and he's gonna
go and at best he's gonna make one out of
every two free throws. That's your best, best best. So
(25:22):
that's that's a really best, best, best scenario. So that's
best of the best. That's Eric Roberts nineties, best of
the best, two, best of the best three, the best seven.
That's best of the best. Don't ask him about his
daughter or Julia. Oh you know that's true. That's true,
although I didn't. I thought they repaired their relationship and
they spoke about him, but it's still don't talk about
(25:43):
them in interviews when you're asked, he's under very specific
and astraight. He still does interviews. He shows up a
lot like still talk. He can talk about Batman. No,
I got different cons. I know he shows up, but
I mean like general interviews, like I mean he said
of movies. Yea, so he does a lot of pressers.
Still is really okay? Yeah, I no, he's still he
(26:05):
still does a lot of press h look as IMDb is.
You know, I know he's got it, but I didn't
know that he still did it. I mean I thought,
like the I thought the end of the uh, the
the not the insurmountables, the expendables, was like the end
for him, Like he still gets to do a lot
of that, all right, because well you can talk about
so many stars that he's been and worked opposite. But
(26:26):
the thing with Spurs, right, six guys averaging double figures.
Here in the playoffs, Keldon Johnson finally had a game,
Daron Fox finally looked himself at the end of that
series against the Thunder. So I think that's where we
get into that interesting next phase. Right, are are all
those Nicks shooters? Are they still hot? I don't know
(26:47):
they've been. They could have gone and taken a full
week's vacation and come back for this final series. So
while Wemby may not have to be the alpha, the
forty one to twenty four guy from that double overtime game.
You could still impact it in so many different ways
to where the stat sheet doesn't necessarily line up, but
you do have the secondary parts that will do battle. Right.
(27:10):
It's like your main event in our WWE parlance that
we've been working. Yeah know, we got reins and we
got Cody Rhoades and whatever, but the undercard is going
to be pretty cool. Yeah, we may have you know,
El Grande Americano versus El Grande Americano And to quote
the great movie Beautiful Girls. Look, the legend can still
(27:31):
blank you up. Oh sure, Like you can run him
around and try to get him tired. That's where Karl
Anthony town is going to be key. So he's got
to not commit a stupid follower too early. Look, and
it is incumbent upon it. He is going to have
to work harder defensively that he's had to work thus far.
And look, and also you really wonder how much emotionally
did the Spurs put into that series against the Thunder
(27:51):
the way they celebrated at the end of me that
was seven games of blood on the floor and hair
on the Walls and it was just it was it
really was. I don't know that that is springboard to
the NBA Finals where suddenly we see their best basket.
I think we saw their best basket. Well that's the question, right,
did they did they say okay, this was great? Like
Wemby said all the right things in his interviews earlier
(28:13):
today of hey, there's unfinished business, meeting with Popovich and
saying all those things. That's all finding good. But the
post game after they beat the thunder really, I don't know.
We talked about it like it hit a little differently,
like all right, the job's not done, whereas we watched
the Knicks walk off going all right, we yeah, there's
this trophy. That's this trophy. We still have work to
(28:34):
do now really quick, because I feel the need we
need we need to button this here.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah, Eric Roberts, you know, you go to IMDb and
it tells you how many things they've been in and
then what they have upcoming. What's he ad about one
hundred and eighty he has eighty nine upcoming projects? Right?
And he does a lot of voiceover work, right, He's
doing voiceovers for video games. So I clicked on one
of them. And it's called It Wants Blood Too. Okay,
(29:01):
you want the description of it. Yeah, two giant monsters,
I mean they're really monsters. Two giant monsters are forced
to battle head to head on the political circuit as
they run against each other for a seat in the Senate.
That's fantastic. It's like Keyankdos come to light. I may
buy that game. The pictures is these two monsters that
are restling. See but that's it. But eighty nine projects?
(29:26):
How many?
Speaker 4 (29:26):
How many?
Speaker 1 (29:26):
And they're they're all that. I mean, they're it's all like, oh,
well over, I mean he's got he's got eighty nine
just for next year, next year. I mean, come on, man,
just over the course of the next year, like all
these different thought he was done desert desert fimes to
flavor revolution, right, I mean, I'm in and I don't
even know what that is. Working stiffs a man worth killing,
(29:50):
not my dog like these are. But as an actor overall,
nine hundred and twenty five credits, I forgot about the
video games. That's a lot. He's going to boost it
video game. I mean really, I mean really too. I
mean he's doctor Neil Reno in Dick Reno Monster Slayer.
I mean, if you're Eric Roberts agent, you call it.
He says, Hey, you got anything for me this week?
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Do you want to be a voice in a video
game comic book thing?
Speaker 4 (30:14):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Well, it's these two monsters and they're real monsters, and
they're they're competing on the political circuit and and they're
racing for the Senate. Yeah, what time you need me? Wow,
I'll be there. What time? What time? I'll bring donuts
for everybody?
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
What time? I come on earlier this year? Skate to hell,
I'll be there. And the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Organic Intelligence? Who whoa? Oh so this is like sequel sequel, sequel,
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Let's go okay, wow, all
right wow. It also has what's that guy's name, Daniel
day Lewis, John Aston, Daniel Roebuck, Daniel Wait, John like
(30:50):
the John as John Asten? Wow, John Aston? Well Right
then that's okay, all right, the hell he's got to
be one hundred and five. I've gotter find out what's
trending in the wide world of sports. And someone who's
been called the lurch of folks the radio because he's tall,
and he plays the piano. It's Steve ta Sager, John
(31:11):
Aston from Adams Face. Yeah, wow, David Kechner, you want, okay,
I'll give you this.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
This is, this is.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
I don't give many people this, but I'll give you this.
Born in nineteen thirty apparently want you want to see
the funniest made for TV movie ever made, Evil Roy
Slade nineteen seventy five. John Assen is the star. It's
a satire of you know, just old West Okay movies,
Evil Roy Slade, Absolutely hysteric. It's a comedy Western. Yes
(31:43):
I'm in. It's absolutely nineteen seventy two. I can't I
can't tell you how funny it is. Oh, it's got
Gary co created by Gary Marshall. I mean, oh yeah,
cats tell you how funny it is. Yeah. Gary Marshall,
who had seventy two projects in the nineteen seventies, yes
he did. Apparently was one go Wildcats and he
