(00:23):
listening to Fox Sports Radio. Greetings and welcome inside the
Jason Smith Show with my base friend Mike Harmon. Where
it looks like and I say it looks like because
they've made it a little bit closer right now. The
Eastern Conference semis between the Sixers and the Hawks looks

(00:44):
like it's gonna go the Sixers way. But Atlanta's cut
that lead from twenty down to thirteen. Still five minutes
left to go. It is one ten to ninety seven.
Joel mb just landed awkward coming back down. Remember he's
playing hurt. He's got twenty once. Night has been a
big night for the Sixers across the board. Meanwhile, Trey
Young trying to shoot the Hawks right back into this.

(01:06):
He's got twenty three. But I'll tell you like this
is one of those games where I that, okay, well
it's gonna be a laugh, roll the way to the end.
Here come the Hawks and beat is dinged up a
little bit. And suddenly this last five minutes maybe a
little interesting five point game at the half and then
a quick explosion four and a half minutes into the third. Uh,
you go from five to sixteen. It's like, Okay, he

(01:27):
had to run, good job, good effort, But you're you're
still rolling along. And as you said, Joel Embiid goes
down to the court, anytime he falls, you getting nervous, right,
any time a big guy doesn't fall of his own
accord and takes a little bump. And they were looking
at whether there was a flagrant and hostile act? Is
the uh the phrase d jour in the NBA. It's like,

(01:50):
I guys are going for a rebound and he accidentally
hit it with an elbow. Was it a hostile act?
Did he mean to elbow him or was it just
two guys jostling for the ball. Either way, we'll we'll
get the review. But to your point, it looked like
it was gonna be a laugher coming out of that
third quarter. Uh. Thirty four nineteen, Philly outscores them. Everybody contributing.

(02:12):
You're talking about six guys and double figures already all
down on the bench, some great uh contributions, but chipping away,
slowing the game down somehow finding a way, uh to
to at least get it to where you gotta sweat.
Because there was a moment maybe five minutes ago, I'm like,

(02:33):
wasn't beat still in the game, and then well they
go on a mini run and here we go. You know,
no I got it? Well, no, no, no, but there.
But when it's hanging around twenty and you got a
guy with the meniscus, which is always the all right,
what's the pain threshold? How long is he gonna be
able to play on this? Can you steal a minute
or two here and there? And then you have that

(02:55):
that bump where he goes to the court like no,
but yeah, now we watched to see if they can
grind it out and finish this. The thing about Joel Embiid, right, obviously,
look he's already Look you said he's playing with the
bad meniscus. I got a bad meniscus. Yeah, we got
a bad man. No, we got a bad got a
bad meniscus. Uh, he's playing with this injury, and it's

(03:16):
almost like at this point, I feel like watching him
is like when I feel like watching with Clayton Kershaw pitch.
When Kershaw is in his heyday because of his back
problems that could go out at any time. You hold
your breath every time he pitch. You know, the Dodgers
hold their breath every time he pitches. And I got
the mess way you know, yeah, well, well so we'll
get to in a minute. We'll get to the brahmin
a minute. Okay, we'll get to the gramin a minute,

(03:37):
because I think everything is fine. But and Bead is
like that now, is that when he's out there, you
hold your breath. Can can he make it? Because and
he's If he's there and he's healthy, he has become
as dominant a player as there is in the NBA.
I mean, he he figured out this season and that
was his that was his time to say, you know
what this is, I'm taking that next step and he has.

(03:58):
But clearly, big men, they are more prone to injury
and in beat. You know this going down in the
heat right there, This wasn't that bad a deal. I mean,
he's driving to the hoop. He got fouled and he
kind of fell. I mean exactly, just get you know,
banging shoes and losing your footing and down you go
like a you know, house some bricks. Yeah, this wasn't
something where you know, hey, you know, this wasn't uh,

(04:19):
Devin Booker slamming into Dennish Shrewder going up for a
lamp when he's up in the air. This was just
he drives the ball and he goes down. And I
kind of feel that way. I'm like, I I hold
my breath every time for him, Bead, because he, you know,
playing with an injury like this. Not to say that
it's gonna be like Kevin Durant, but we all thought
Kevin durand oh yeah, I know he's got he's got
he got a bit of a calf strain. He's gonna

(04:39):
be fine. The next thing, you know, boom, blown Achilles
and the guys out for a season and a half
and we don't see him for a long time. And
that that's kind of where I am with Joel e. Bead.
I'm like, Okay, every game it's you know, you're watching,
it's like, boy and beat is great, But this time
down the floor. Oh, I just saw him going. Oh
he just went up for a rebout. Oh, he just
went get to get up, Get up, Get up. That's
kind of what it is for him beat right now.

(05:00):
It's like like like when I was watching Kershaw in
his hey day, where every time he could he could
be going through hey ten strikeouts through five. Oh wait,
it's gotta come out something, roll on his back. He's
out forty eight pitches. That's it for UH. For him,
and and that's kind of where I'm at with Embid. Yeah.
It's like when whenever we're getting ready to preview big
games in the NFL, you and I, as you get
into the playoffs and certainly Super Bowls, you know, Brady

(05:22):
comes to mind first. But there's always that it's football.
You don't know when the last time you're gonna see
a guy is. And with Embiid for this particular season,
that's certainly been the case. The fact that he's logged
a man, he's at thirty two minutes tonight, UH has
lugged as much time on the court as he has
and he's running the floor. Well, all of that, I'm

(05:42):
like easier to get a ridiculously high pain threshold. Uh,
there's just in the pr spin of like, let's just
tell everybody's hurt, which I don't think it's the case,
but hey, you know what, we we've got bloody sock
theories and all those other things that you know are
are part of sports lore. But twenty two nine and seven,

(06:03):
only five of eleven from the field, but eleven of
fifteen from the file line getting it done. And it's
just fun watching him come into his own right because
a couple of years ago it was the potential obviously
missed those first couple of years as he came into
the league, but potential. And then he was kind of
kind of a goofy guy that loved being in front
of the cameras. I love all the stuff with triple

(06:25):
h and just embracing his degeneration X and and all
of that, and he's backing it up and then some so, uh, congratulations,
another new star is born, or at least the spotlight
turns to him for a little bit. So we'll keep
you updated here and beat at the free throw line
right now for the Sixers, it is one ff one

(06:46):
hundred with about three and a half minutes to go
in the fourth quarter, Sola Hawks jumping in on this.
This really hasn't worked out in the last couple of minutes. Uh,
the six has have been able to maintain their lead,
and now time is getting really short for Atlanta. So meanwhile,
as as you mentioned this, as as this is going
on right now, you mentioned Jacob deGrom, and right now

(07:08):
Jacob Degram. You know, there's incredible news Gram and then
there's oh my goodness, I'm holding my breath. Uh de
Gram for the Mets tonight. Uh pitch six innings against
the Padres, allowing one hit. All right, now, this is Degram,
and so far, I don't think anybody found anything illegal
that de Gram was doing. I think he had a
pretty clean night as far as throwing the baseball. Uh,

(07:31):
it's still gonna be out there, buddy. If I was
to Graham, I would just go out there and touch
every part of my body like gay Lord Perry used
to do. I would touch my hat, and I would
touch my son. I would just touch every part of
my body. Go yeah, here's what I'm doing. I got them.
How many times did people text you the touch to
the belt gift? Today? I got one. I couldn't even
tell what it was because because a friend of mine

(07:52):
zoomed it in so tight that it's just like the
hand on the bell. I'm like, what the hell is this? Oh?
This is the big dramas of the hand on the belt. Okay,
I get it. Uh Oh. De Gram lowers his e
R eight tonight to point five six. Okay, point you
look at de Gram compared to anybody else that's having
a great year. At what's er are a one point nine?
You're getting lit up all over the yard, man, come

(08:13):
on one point nine. It's terrible as e r A
is down to point five six. Now here's the here's
the incredible part, and then here's the here's the ugly
reality that has happened de Gram this year. Now, you know,
stats come and go, and you hear a stat. Sometimes
it goes in one year. It's a lot of stats.
But here's the deal for de Gram this year. It
is June eleventh. Okay, it's not the middle of April.
This is not This is June eleventh. We are over

(08:36):
two and a half months into this season. Jacob Degram
has allowed four earned runs. He has five RB. I
just think about that for a second. A starting pitcher
he's got more rb I s than urn runs allowed.
Five RBIs. He had a two run single tonight again
because he always has to do it all himself. Uh,
two run single tonight, and he's got five r b

(08:58):
I s and he's given up four or earn runs.
I mean that is a stat that's just insane. I
mean that's when you go, wait, no, there's no way
that's right. No, no no, that's absolutely correct. Well, five RBIs
four n runs for dem Well, and as you talked
about stats and and look summer unofficial. Right, when you
get into tackles in the National Football League, you get
a little bit of home cooking. You were near the pile,

(09:19):
you're supposed to be our top guy. Here's a half tackle.
Why because you helped someone off or you touched the
back of a guy as he went down to the ground. Um.
Rb I became an official stat in nineteen Jacob Degram,
according to a couple of baseball insiders that put this
one out first, to have more rb I than earn

(09:40):
runs allowed in a ten start period. Mhm D years
Like we say, right, who was it that Jason Stark? Right,
every night you're gonna see something you've never seen before
and now. As for the flexor tendonitis, it's the swelling
of the tendons that bends the fingers. Flexor ten denitis,
also called trigger finger. He's got trigger finger, yes, Jacob

(10:08):
Degram leaving tonight's game after six innings and eighty pitches
with flexor tendonitis in his right arm. I'm at that. Well, hang,
because now I'm at that point like Sixers fans are
with Joel Embid like I I was. I'm like, every
time de Grom goes out there, is he okay? Is
he okay? Is he okay? Okay? Because this is not

(10:29):
something that is serious. This is something that had happened,
you rest, Maybe they push a start back for him,
but that's all right. That that this this is that
kind of injury. Guys have actually pitched with this for
most of the season, some other guys that have had
this before. So this is not something that, oh it's
a precursor this to that. This is just something that happens.
And I'm I'm I'm I'm going with I'm sticking with that.

(10:50):
I'm sticking with it. Everything is gonna be okay because
the the the the out the other outcome. I can't
even think about it. I can't even think the guy's
gonna wind up being m v P in the National League.
Doesn't mean guy can at fifty home runs, not fifty runs.
If the Grom c r A is point four and
he has more rbs than earned runs, yeah, he's gonna
win the m v P in the National League too.
So what's gonna happen? No, that's good. I was looking

(11:11):
at the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and
how they just discussed this flex flexor tendant injuries do
not heal by themselves, frequently require surgery to put the
injured tendant back to its normal position. So well, because
I've got to be a realist, we're telling people that
are banking on him for fantasy and betting purposes that

(11:32):
he may miss one start and have run start bush bag,
and I've got to be the voice of reason, going well,
I read a couple of quick notes here that says
maybe that's not quite so. You know, you know, here's
the thing. The Internet is dangerous for you, Okay, because
because I'm looking you know, I'm looking at at de
Grom's surgery on Twitter right now, here's where people go

(11:55):
I googled it, and this means surgery or two months
of rest. Okay, I googled it could be Tommy John surgery.
I googled this. It could take twelve weeks to completely heal.
It's follow all the advice to avoid rupturing your tendon.
I mean, okay, it's precursored growing a second head. I
don't know. You look on the internet. You can find anything, alright,

(12:16):
in worst case scenarios, yes, you can find this. But
the Internet is dangerous, all right, right now, this is
what it is. It's it's right flat, all right, It's
that's what it is. Let's just realize that that's might
he might have his own personal rainbow, that it's over
him right now as he walks about and sprinkles are
falling from the sky. All right, don't just I mean,

(12:36):
don't just look at the Internet and go, oh, that's
what's gonna happen right here. Okay, okay, that's like when
you go to web md dot com and I'll find
out because web md dot com and all sorts of problems. Great,
oh my goodness, I might not survive the next five minutes.
Oh my goodness. I mean, really, the ind of it. Okay,
let's just wait and see. All right, let's just let's
just let's just wait and see. All right, let's just

(12:56):
wait and see. But of course it's gonna be crazy
on social media. People are gonna think it's awful and
it's the worst thing in the world. Let's just let's
just wait and see. We'll just wait and see what's
that and then and then we'll go on from there.
The Mets one tonight, it's okay, you know, Gram gets
the win again. The r A is all these things
are happening, okay, okay, but don't start throwing around where
it's like surgery and throwing it out in the air
because he could be fine, all right, because I don't

(13:18):
want that to suddenly happen with the you know. At
seven twelve pm Pacific time to Gram was fine. He
was flexing his hand. It was all good. He goes.
He goes, skip, I can make my next start. Then
at seven thirteen he goes, oh, my hand, Oh it's
bleeding and starting purple. I need to cut open. I
may have to lose it, may have to lose something.
I mean, you put it out there in the universe,

(13:38):
and if it happens. I'm coming to your house and
I'm taking out I'm taking it out on you. I
don't know what I'm gonna do, but I'm gonna do something.
Are you going to keep my car? No, I'll do
more than that. You know. What I was watching tonight was,
uh today was the opening scene of Red when Bruce
Willis's house. They all came with the machine guns and
there's like fifteen machine guns and they just like basically
shoot the house down. Yes, and it's they just like

(14:02):
if they just shoot walls down and have like, oh
my god, these are like the biggest guns in the world.
And then they go and of course, you know, Bruce
Willison is there already kills Sorry spoiler alert, but Red
has been out a while. I'm thinking about I would
quote for those unaware, I think I think that they're
already dead one right, they're doing another one right, Red three,
Red threes in production is or at least in uh
pre production. And if they get to Red five, it's

(14:23):
it's a Star Wars one could fly X wings. Yeah,
that's how it coed. Red five. She don't tell them
that flying around in X Wing. I'd like to see
Helen Meir and flying in xt way. I think I'd
like to see that. Why not. I think I'd like
to see helenmir and flying in next way. I think
I would. Let's speak that into existence. That, let's speak
that into existence. But not, you know, surgery in this

(14:45):
and I just let's just let's just let's just be.
I'm just trying to give the people the wide breath
and scope and putting my arms around it. Look, everybody
needs a hug, if you if you love yourself some
Jacob to Grom, I'm Mike Harmon. I'm here to give
you the worst case scenario for everything area in the world. Hey,
you could die tonight, but so if true, that would stink.

(15:05):
But you're probably not. I mean, the odds are probably not.
I mean, let me throw it out there. Here's the
awful thing. You could lose all your money tonight. Whoa really?
Yes you could, Yeah, you could lose all your money.
I mean maybe not, but you could lose all your
money tonight. Okay, okay, alright, alright, it's the worst case scenario. Jeez,
you know that happens though, I mean it, I'm holding

Report limitations they do apply well. In the NBA, it
looked like it was gonna get close at the end,
and then it didn't. The Sixers pull away from the

(16:56):
Hawks one seven to one eleven. Joel embiid one seven points.
Couple of uh crazy falls, but it looked like embad
was okay finishing out the game. They now take a
two games to one lead in that series. Trey Young
with twenty eight points for the Hawks, and well, it's
pretty clear, you know, breaking this game down. What happened
to the Hawks. Well, when you shoot well, and you're

(17:18):
known as being a shooting team with a lot of firepower,
when you go six out of twenty three from three
point range, you're not gonna win too many games. That's
kind of how it summed up for the Hawks tonight.
Nicely done. See you cut to the chase, even though
you want twenty seven and thirty two, a lot of
free throws. Get seventy one total free throws. Shot boom,
pay to play. Rob Manford not happy, And I think

(17:40):
all of them were by Joel Embiid because I think
he went to the free throw line like eighteen times tonight.
You're close he was at sixteen Yeah, yeah, Rob MANFORDY
if he was in charge of the NBA, forget it,
you know, would just be okay, foul, you know, foul.
We we give the team two points. Let's move on.
Like everyone you have valves now to be it's a
it's a bucket. It's a bucket. You just give me

(18:02):
the points and we go on. We don't want foul
shots anymore. Well, it depends who it is. How how
far are they in the league. We'll give you their average.
So I got it. Shoots six h two out of
three ain't bad. Uh. The thing to also underline in
this as you've got offensive production from Ben Simmons, right.
We often talk about his defense, and he moves things

(18:23):
but doesn't necessarily fill the box score eighteen four and
seven to night in a plus fourteen performance. So there
it is right there, six ers up, two games one.
We'll have more on this right now. Denver and Phoenix
just underway. It is a three to Denver lead of
any Castillo with a three run homer off of Kurt
Schilling to give Denver the lead. Well, you know it's

(18:45):
that thin air. There's gonna be home runs. It's good.
That's good. If Dante Bischette gets involved, all all bets
are off. Maybe a little Ellis Burks while we're at it. Oh,
Ellis Burks, that's a nice one, joining us now on
the hotline. Some people call him the Ellis Burks of
Pro foot Ball Hall of Fame voters. He is a
Pro Football Hall of Fame voter. He is the editor
in chief at fansideed dot com. Longtime NFL insider. It

(19:08):
is Jason Cole, j Cole. What's happening? Oh, what's beautiful?
What's going on? Guys? What's very good? Would you okay
with me? If you were the Ellis Burks of of
of NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame voters, I would
actually rather be Andre Scalaraga. Oh okay, you'd rather be
Big Cat El Grande Gotto. Okay, I saw Grande got

(19:31):
to hit one into like the third deck at the
old Marlin Stadiums or Pro Player Stadium or Dolphin Stadium
or Sunshine Pulus, Rain and Storm and Hurricane State or
whatever they called that thing. Um. Yeah, I mean he
hit one like the best part of the He must

(19:52):
have hit that thing about five ft right. It was
just a monster shot. And then the old um had
tv um shot. Of the all columnists from the Sun Sentinel,
like walking around the upper deck, he was the only
human to be seen for like five yards in any
direction trying to find where the ball was. It was alright.

(20:18):
So from Andre Scallaraga, let's go to Russell Wilson here,
because you know, yesterday he has the press conferences. Oh
you know, things got a little taken out of context.
I didn't mean quarterbacks are so cutless. They are. Oh
love me, love me, Oh don't hate me, don't I
want to get out, but don't hate me. If I

(20:41):
asked for a trade like this is the dance that
I mean. DeShawn Watson's doing the same thing, Russell Wilsons
in the same thing. Aaron Rodgers is doing it even
worse than all of I mean, the best part. I
was talking to a guy earlier this week as a
former NFL quarterback, and he's just laughing. Aaron Rodgers has
never taking pictures of himself on vacation around the world.
All of a sudden, Mr Private like is sending like

(21:03):
photos from everywhere, like it's where's Waldo? Aaron Rodgers is
where's Waldo? Right? Just he just haunting Matt Lafleur and
Brian good cunts. I'm in Tahiti. Oh now I'm somewhere
deeper in the South Pacentic. Where could I possibly be?
I find me in Belieze. Here's me going down the

(21:25):
Panama Canal. I'm in the Ukraine. It might just be
one big Discovery Plus show. Yeah, Oh, it's absolutely Aaron
Rodgers went from doing Jeopardy to Discovery Channel. It's just
it's just but don't but don't hate me. Don't hate
me for taunting you. But I'm taunting you by the way.

(21:47):
He's on Bizarre Food with Andrew Zimmer. Look, he's eating
cockroaches something sodwhere I don't even know where it is.
Looking look at it. I can't believe you found him there.
There's nobody that continent I'm in the mountains of the
Sierra Madre with drug runners in Mexico. Yeah. So hey,

(22:10):
so tell us the try. I don't want you to,
you know, to to betray your source. But was it
Tim Tebow? The former quarterback you're talking to? Was that?
Who was it? Told you, I don't discuss my sources. Oh,
you're right, you would have said former quarterback, current tight end.
That's what you would have said if it was Yeah,

(22:31):
because that never would have identified him. I remember arguing
with one of my editors one time. He goes, can
we call this like a quarterback from the a f C?
So what am I going to limit it to? Like
ten guys? Like what what are we doing here? Like,
you know, like how dumb is that? He goes, you
got to kind of got a point? I go, yeah,
of course I have a point. You know. Um look

(22:54):
aside from you guys being inspector Cluseau one and two. Um, yeah, look,
it's the guy who knows Aaron Rodgers and knows him. Well, okay,
let's just put that way. And the other part of
it is he's just goofing on Aaron Rodgers. He's just
look at this going this is so much fun. He goes.
He goes, Matt Lafleur is going going absolutely out of

(23:16):
his mind because of this, So yeah, he was. He
was very humored by it. Oh this is fun, right,
and I love the question. He was smiling. He was
smiling from here to here, he goes. He goes, Aaron
is just turning the screws on those guys, just hammering
left it right. So he loved it well. And then meanwhile,
back at camp, You've got Jordan's love, asked, Hey, and

(23:39):
if it came to a week one, would you be ready?
I really wish he would have said, nope, I got
no clue save may save me, like you know, we
threw the kitchen sink at him. Now is is the
Matt Lafleur quote. While they're also having pressed get a

(24:00):
little up. I mean look in some ways, And I
think Andrew Brandt made this from made this comment and
it's pretty accurate. Is Aaron Rodgers doesn't need to be
at this thing for himself. It's a help to the
guys that he works with. Yes, um, and even those

(24:22):
guys are only getting a marginal help. It really is
helpful to the packers. Andrew Jordan's love for you know,
Jordan's loves to not have Aaron Rodgers around, not from
a psychological standpoint, but just from a responsibility, like all
eyes are on him, is he doing the work? And
how's he responding to this? You know there there's nothing
wrong with that for the packers, um in his progression um.

(24:48):
But obviously you know the billion pound gorilla in the
room is Aaron Rodgers smiling somewhere in Nova Scotia, right like,
just taking pictures, thinking selfies in Nova Scotia. You know,
you know, probably heading down to Cuba. You know at

(25:09):
some point in time, you know he's probably got it.
Probably I got a boat going Nova Scotia straight to Cuba.
So what if I were to blow your mind and
say it was all shot with a green screen and
he's actually five minutes from packers? Blow mind? So this

(25:30):
is this is a lot never left in Malibu. You know,
he's just like he's just sitting there. Should have got
a cliff above the ways and maliba gun. Oh, let
me just mess with them today, cream screen. Please, you'll
be even better as if he's doing it? Did you
ever see inside? Man? No? What's that? Okay? So so

(25:50):
I'm gonna spoil it for you. Clive Owens a bank
robber and what he does is he holds himself up
inside the wall of a bank and he waits like
for weeks to to steal money from the bank. Like
that would be like what if Aaron Rodgers did that?
Like he's actually in Matt Lafleur's office. This sounds like
Tom Hanks in that movie where he's in the terminal
the whole time. Yeah, the terminal. And I was like,

(26:16):
I was like, this is really not that interesting, um,
you know, and that and the spank robber thing doesn't
sound any better, so um, it was actually really good movie.
I mean you didn't know until I'm sorry, just spoiled
it for you, but you know till the end, like
he'd hold up in there, So what if like that's
what Rogers did, Like he actually is in Matt Lafleur's
office like the whole time, and he's just like just

(26:37):
inside the wall paneling. He's probably in the wild paneling,
but he definitely he's occupying a gigantic space inside Matt
Lafleur's head. There's that's no question about it. All right,
let me let me get back it was like the
guy in the commercial, let me go back to these

(26:57):
fun and exciting mini camps. Um, Look, I understand you've
got teams that are fairly well set, said, hey, we
made a deal with the veterans and all right, we'll
skip a day here. Whatever. I don't understand how Houston
ends up just blowing off a week's work. Well because
they're so incredibly good. Okay, I must have missed. That's

(27:20):
a That's a consummate mistake by a coach who is
both a rookie an older guy trying to play NICs
with the veterans to make friends with them, and doesn't
understand he's just going to get run over. So I
like Devid Culley, but he's got about the over under
on him is nineteen and a half games in the
regular season. So you're giving them this season and then

(27:46):
you bring him back for two games. No no, no, no, no,
no no, because you've got three preseason games seventeen regular
season no no, no no. I'm not counting the preseason,
you know, But I am going seventeen and a half games,
which is probably if he makes it a year two.
He probably makes it to But but I don't know

(28:08):
that he's going to get here, I mean or out
of year one. Let's just say that, you know, like
he's very nice man. He's he's never been head coach material,
and he got hired because, Um, the guys who were
in charge there don't know what they're doing, Like you

(28:28):
know that was starting with the owner. Um just don't
know what they're I mean, the same guy who was
laughing about Aaron Rodgers, I asked him about cal McNair
and he just he just shot his head. It's just bad. Alright, Jacole.
Before I let you go, I'm going to just run

(28:50):
through a list of former NFL quarterbacks. It could be
who's your source on this? Aaron Rodgerson and you just
tell me yes if I hit on it? No, and
why not? Mightn't work? Like I just get to ask
here here, look is it Mark Sanchez? Um? No, does

(29:11):
he hold an executive title for any NFL team? No?
Has he led a relentless life? Is he? Is he
a cowboy quarterback who's in the Hall of Fame that
you want out of the Hall of Fame? Yes? Boom,

(29:35):
just like that. That nowrows it down. That's kind of
like a f C East Quarterbacks can we just say
an a FC East quarterback. Oh, you can follow on
Twitter at Roger Stop. You can follow on Twitter at
Jason Cole sixty two. That's at Jason could sixty two.

(30:00):
It was Rogers stop back Uh in the kitchen Fansided
dot Com Pro Football Hall of Fame voter, and please
pick up his book Elway A Relentless Life, available in
bookstores everywhere. J Cole is always body appreciated. My friend
will talk to you soon, be good man. That was
great stuff. Man, that was great stuff. Does it rhyme

(30:23):
with no? No? No, it's not if I set the
over under on teams that they got played with during
his NFL career at five, because we can start getting
into a database search there once we start getting into
some of those parameters Twitter at how about a fresco

(30:44):
might get swollen on the Jason Smith Show with my
bass friend Mike Harmon. Uh, great stuff there from Jason
Cole as always, what a great story. How much he
is enjoying turning the screws on Matt Lafleur with all
these vacation pictures. I mean that is whether it's Gino
Smith is his source or not, you know, I mean like,
that's a great, great story at that that's not Geno Smith. Uh,

(31:05):
that's a great story from Jason Cole right there. Give
you a real impact and input and insight as to
what's happening right now. Be sure to catch live editions

(31:53):
Sports Radio, that Jason Smith Show with my bass friend
Mike Harman. Greatness. And you know last week I told
you the Floyd Mayweather Logan Paul thing wasn't my thing, right,
And obviously you saw a fight that was staged for
Floyd maywhether to hold him up. He knocked him out
at one point and held him up so they could

(32:13):
finish the fight. It's ridiculous, what an exhibition. But I
told you that there is a big market for celebrity boxing,
just something that you want to see results. I don't
want to see something that is just fixed, Because do
I really want to see Floyd Mayweather hold up Logan
Paul for for ten? I mean, come on, I mean
Floyd Mayweather still thinks people want to see him fight. No, boy,
what a great technician he is? No dude, come on,

(32:36):
this is celebrity boxing. We want to see knockouts. You
want to see things that happened. Okay, I mean no,
one's gonna sit back and go, boy, what a great
technician he is against that guy on YouTube who's oh
and one. I mean, come on, nobody wants to see that.
But there is a big market for celebrity boxing, and
case in point is right now, the biggest thing trending
in sports on Twitter is lamar Odom. Why because everybody

(32:56):
on social media is looking for the link to la
are Odom's fight tonight against Aaron Carter, which is happening
in about forty five minutes, and it's thirty dollars for
this fight. It's thirty dollars for the lamar Odom Aaron
Carter fight. But there's a lot of Kardashians gonna be
there to, you know, maybe give you some value. Oh,

(33:17):
I think that would probably be how they would sell it.
Potential zero to three Kardashians New York. This though, go ahead,
the lamar Odom Aaron Carter fight heralds the end of civilization. No, no, no,
it's just the beginning, man, I'm telling you. Pretty soon
we're gonna get to play a celebrity boxing I would say,
would take a little while, Like maybe in a year

(33:38):
we'll get to play a celebrity boxing game on the
show where I give you the celebrity matchup and you
tell me if that was a real fight or not.
We're gonna get to play that game. But it needs
we need to We need to see things like, hey,
it's Greg Brady from the Brady Bunch is gonna fight
Peter Brady. WHOA, I gotta see this. This is gonna
be awesome. But we used to get that all the time.
Remember it was you know, rest his Soul, Screech and

(33:59):
Bonta do g and all those guys Todd Bridges getting
in the ring. Yeah, is gonna fight, Uh a C. Slater,
It's gonna be great. Lopez has he actually trains, so
I don't know that he gets in for the Hey,
hey for the money. Isn't it right for anybody who's

(34:19):
got who's got more jobs right now? Uh? Seecrest or
Lopez go oh man? Well, hey Ryan secrets celebrity boxing,
that would be that would be interesting Ryan Seacrest and
Simon Calle celebrity boxing. I mean, I'd like to say Brooks, Kapka,
Bryce and d Shambo. I'd love to see that the fight.
Everybody would like one of those guys could get hurt.

(34:41):
You want to talk golf, you know what though, you
want to talk about something that's good for golf, and
I think they've both kind of admitted it in some interviews.
Is you know this is this is nice and spicy,
I mean, fills a nice story. That's great. Tiger, you know,
will he ever be able to get back on a course?
But making progre and you see the photos that he's

(35:01):
he's up and walking around. That's good on crutches. But yeah,
they need some flavors. So some some hate watching is
always good. And I'm going to officially take lamar Odom
in this fight because of the reach. Okay, yeah, I
think that would come in. I think he's got the
reach on Aaron Carter. I think so, I'm gonna take
lamar Odom in this plus he's and plus he was
an athlete. You know, I'm gonna take Why is Aaron

(35:24):
Carter a deal? What was his deal? He was a
singer and he's one of the brothers, all his brothers
in the Backstreet Boys, back Streets back all right, six
degrees of Backstreet. There you go, because that might add
some value to that thirty bucks Twitter and out about
a Fresca Mike and swollen Dome coming up next? Boy,

(35:44):
do we have a great Russell Wilson hot take? Come
in your way. This is Fox
