(00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Welcome inside our to
The Jason Smith Show with my base friend Mike Harmon.
Where about it? This Grizzly's Timberwolves game that allegedly is
going on because it's on NBA TV is never going
to end. It's one six team to eighty eight. The

(00:44):
Grizzlies lead still somehow there is five minutes left to go.
Oh my goodness, is is game just won't end? Um,
it's been all Grizzlies from the jump. Uh, they needed
to win this game. Clearly got surprised by the t
Wolves in Game one, and they have out with a
huge effort. John Morant twenty three and ten. They've gotten
a big night from the bench. It's just been big

(01:05):
for the Grizzlies the entire night. As Uh, maybe they
got a little tired of hearing Hey sons in the
get ready for the Sons of the Warriors Western Conference Finals?
Hey what about us? And we finished in second place?
Now sorry, you're not good enough. That we like John Morant,
but now you're not good enough? All right, So the
Grizzlies is still gonna be around for a little bit, Mike.
I will say that as John Morant's thumbs have been

(01:27):
very active in the Twitter verse, uh and across social
media the last couple of days on many topics, not
just you know, the noise against them that you allude
to when it comes to the Warriors and Sons, but
also about the individual player awards. He's still mad about
the Defensive Player of the Year uh final vote and

(01:48):
everything else, and and really chiming in on all the
other games, so, you know, student of the game he's
watching and giving us, you know, the young stars version
of what he's seeing on the court, which is great.
And then tonight he ran into a couple of uh,
how should we say, questionably timed Karl Anthony town screens
and efforts to fight through screens that he I think joh.

(02:13):
The last duy I saw him, he had a giant
bandage on his leg with some ice and he was
just watching the burial. So at this point they're just
hoping to get out in one piece, out one one,
and get ready for the next, the next game, because uh,
this the second half has been an absolute joke up
and down the court. Oh my goodness. Uh yeah, it

(02:34):
has been something that one of those NBA games where
you go, well it's NBA. Someone's gonna no, they're not
gonna make a run that We're just we're just not
going to see a running this game. Um, they may
finish with ten guys in double figures. All right, he
got Brooks has nine. Let's see three in the starting lineup,
that would be four or five, six, seven, eight, And

(02:55):
then you got another player with seven. All right, the
other the other guy with with two. Really need to
get some work here in the final two thirty four.
But alright, so nine and double figures as possible. That's
a kind of a statement in and of itself as
you bury them. Meanwhile, my sons, who I told you
we're gonna win the title and it wasn't going to
even be close. Uh. They have now taken aft lead

(03:18):
over the Pelicans late in the second quarter Pelicans and
played him tough. But now you have these Sons pulling
out to a five point lead and looking to extend it.
Big three by Devin Booker has now made it an
eight point lead for the Sons. Yeah, the first quarter,

(03:40):
it was pretty good. Yeah, they I mean they won
the first quarter. And then Devin Booker with a couple
of three points shots and he's heating up. Yeah. I
was worried. Oh boy, I was worried. Stressful minutes Smith.
So Phoenix again up over New Orleans fifty forty six,
just under three. It's left to go New Orleans getting

(04:01):
a time out. They want to talk it over. Uh. Now.
Meanwhile in the NBA today as they look look big
night tonight night for for us. Uh, we finally got
the decision for Kyrie Irving for the numerous transgressions when
it comes to language and middle fingers. He was fine

(04:22):
a grand total of fifty thousand dollars by the NBA.
This was one middle finger going up the court to
the fans, double middle fingers at a different time, cursing
out a fan after the game was over, and then
cursing during his postgame press conference. Uh. Those seemingly are
four different times. This is not one thing where okay,

(04:43):
but what did I tell you? There's no way Adam
Adam Silver. The last guy he's going to take on
is Kyrie Irving. The last guy because I say it
all the time. Adam Silver has a great reputation because
he does nothing. He never wants to challenge the players
on anything. He's not going to stand in their way
because he's he can't stand the players being against him

(05:04):
for anything. He's worried what the players are gonna say,
what they're gonna think, and he likes being commissioner. Kyrie
Irving is the last guy he's gonna get involved because
Kyrie Irving is unpredictable. You don't know what's going what
kind of masses is Kyrie Irving gonna have, uh, you know,
rise up for me? It's what's gonna happen, Well, it
could possibly happen. The last guy in the world he's
gonna take on his Kyrie Irving. So Kyrie does this

(05:25):
fifty grand. It's all taken care of. But again, it's
not like Kyrie Irving can be upset. He knows what
this is all about. The nets know what it's all about.
But this is Adam Silver saying, yeah, um, whatever I
need to do. That's the bare minimum where the players
aren't gonna hate me. And and that's why he's so
beloved because the players just run rough shot over him
and they've been doing it for over three years and

(05:47):
they make it seem like he's great, and they pump
him up every time they can because they love the
fact that whatever they want he gives to them every time.
So we don't like this, well, let's cut back on
on on back to backs. Well, let's cut back got this, well,
let's not have this, Let's not have no I'm hear
what the players are upset about. Let's cut back this,
let's not do this, Let's not do this. And they
love it. So they're gonna continue to say great things

(06:09):
about Adam Silver because they love the fact that he
allows them to do everything they want to. I'm gonna
sit out games, but you should now, I'm gonna sit
out nationally televised games. I don't need to. The stars
are playing in fit between fifty five and sixty eight
games a year now, they're taking they've taken so much
time off. Now Adam Silver is gonna step in and say, sorry,
you guys gotta play in seventy games. Now, how's he

(06:31):
gonna do it? How's he gonna He's allowed them to
do this. I'm telling you five of the top twenty
five scorers in the NBA this year played over seventy games.
Five everybody else is missing at least an eight to
the season for either restload, maintenance, or they just didn't
feel like playing for whatever reason. You know, some guys,
obviously with injuries you're sitting out. But you you're you're
talking about all the best players are playing a low

(06:54):
number of games. Adam Silver is not gonna suddenly just
make them do that. He's not gonna suddenly make them
do anything. It's like it's like he's gonna give the players.
They're gonna keep taking and taking and taking until it's
you know, we're basically running things now. Adam, you just
stay in your in your office in New York and
just do a thing. You know, at least at least
David Stern would stand up and say, hey, this is
what's best for the league. Sometimes players didn't like it.

(07:16):
Sometimes David Stern says, screw you, it didn't matter. This
is what I think is best for the league. And
it's hard to argue with the guy that took the
NBA from tape to late NBA finals, two incredible heights
that the that the NBA is is enjoying now. So
at some point you gotta be a big guy and
be a commissioner. So I fully expected what's the bare minimum? What? What?
What's oh? Fifties? It's a maximum for one for one violation?

(07:37):
Yeah that's one. He had four, he had four. He
had four violations four or four? Count of one two three, four,
not one four. But yeah, here it is fifty dollars
and let's move on because I don't want to take
on the players. Yeah, this one was interesting. I really
thought that at least to you know, to curb a
little of the public opinion of anger, because you know,
Kyrie was just so out of line, being so emotionally

(08:01):
caught up in what the fans are doing. Is like,
they gave him a little bit back, and that was
kind of it. And jawed with guys, do you do
you want that to be the daily? No, but it's
a one time thing. But figured, uh, there would at
least be enough, not that it's gonna sting him in
his pocketbook because at fifty thou per infraction, even if
he went full two K two o K, it wasn't

(08:22):
it wasn't doing anything right. I mean, that's not that
his pocket change on the grand scale. But it is
a nice car, right, I guess he's trying to try
to try to put it into some kind of if
you can buy a car. You know how hard it
is to buy a car right now, there's like nobody
not nobody. There's no chips because all the chips are

(08:42):
like sitting on chips somewhere and this is this is
this is a real time where you can say chips
and chips like you can't buy do all the time,
and you try to shut me down. The markups on
the cars are amazing because there's no inventory because of
the pandemic there. I've been able to put the big
you know, electronic chips in that do everything for the car,
so there's no inventory. Absolutely, we've tried. We we were
looking into buying a new car, uh with you know,

(09:05):
we're GM family and we get the GM employee discount
because you know, Pam's dads worked for GM for the
last you know, hundred and fifty years and they're like, yeah,
we have again. We want to get you know, this
kind of car. Yeah, I think I have one coming
in in four months. It's like wait what yeah, all,
but you know it's sorry, it's already pre sold. Wow.
I mean, this is what it's like to buy a
car now. It's insane. It's absolutely insane. There you go,

(09:27):
which means you've got to have the extra money for
the markup, which means the two hundred thousand might have
actually made him feel something. But the point being that
you at least do that, and then you do the
appeal down or whatever it serves the purpose of at
least showing hey, we took your concerns seriously, and we
need to talk with our Players Association and then have

(09:48):
more fan videos. Right, so before games, we want to
have a respectful environment. Get your stars, get your stars
of yesteryear. If you get some Hollywood people in on it.
I mean you got to see all the as, all
those promotionals like we'd like to have a family atmosphere
and then they start yelling blank you at the screen
and everybody gets back to their thing. But for Kyrie Irving, yeah,

(10:10):
it was the bare minimum uh, and then you moved
back on aren't the playoffs great? Can you see how
great that first game was? What a nail biter between
the Nets and the Celtics. I can't wait for the
rest of the series. I'm Adam Silver and I'm your commissioner.
That's kind of what we got in this statement that

(10:32):
if you look at the invisible link, that was what
was there. Let's preview tonight's action. Throw it out about
a fresca. Mike gets swollen. Done with prices soaring at
the pump. Speaking of cars and gas, discover as you're
back with cash back. He was discovered earned five percent
cash back at gas stations and target now through June
on up to purchases when you activate. Learn more at

(10:53):
discovered dot com slash rewards. That's discovered dot com slash
rewards limitations they do apply. Well. Here, here's the thing
about Kyrie now, so so that's the that's the the
the fine part of it. This is why you need
to listen to me on Kyrie Irving, all right when
I want to tell you about him. Stop trying to
predict his behavior, Stop trying to well, Kyrie needs to

(11:14):
do this or Kyrie needs to do this or if
Kyrie did this. No, he is unpredictable. Even Kevin Durant agrees.
What did he say today about Kyrie Irving being the villain?
I don't know. He might wake up tomorrow morning and
not be down with it. Whatever side of the bed
Kyrie wakes up on, he does what he wants to do.
He's the friend you have that you hang out with,

(11:36):
who you hang out with for a while because he's interesting.
But then his behavior is so all over the place.
It's like, I can't hang out with this guy anymore.
I have no idea. I called him other night at
nine thirty. He yelled at me because I was calling
him way too late and just screamed at me for
like ten minutes. I'm on the phoneus and I'm not
talking to that guy again. Three days later, he shows
up at my house ten o'clock in the morning. Hey,
I brought donuts. You want to hang out? I mean,
that's who Kyrie Irving is. That's who Kyrie Irving is.

(11:57):
You you stop trying to predict his behavior, what you
think he should be doing, what you think he's going
to do next. You can't. You cannot do it right
he loved Lebron, then he hated Lebron, then he loved
Lebron again, he loved Boston, then he hated Boston, then
he liked Boston, then he hated Boston even more. This
is who he is, right So to think that tomorrow

(12:18):
he's gonna wind up being the villain and and cursing
out the fans, now he might. He might show up
with hundred dollar bills tomorrow and hand him out the fans.
Just as just as likely as that as he is
to flip off fans again, because he's just that kind
of guy that he doesn't think more than five minutes
into the future. What am I gonna do right now?
How's it gonna affect me right now? This is what
I'm gonna do. He's not a long range guy. He

(12:39):
doesn't have long range term plans. This is what's the
next five minutes and what do I feel like doing?
That's Kyrie Irving. So listen to me when I say,
don't try to predict what he does, because nobody can. Well,
you know, and to that point, I'm envious of that characterization.
We know all should be so lucky to be able
to say, hey, what's that over there. I think I'll

(13:00):
explore that a while. And look, I I the only
time that when when Kyrie of any of it, that
you just have to raise your hands say hold on
a sec is you know if you if you start
getting into the I wanted to be here and then not,
but circumstances change, right, So I understand why some Celtics
fans hold it again. Kevin Durant had a great response

(13:22):
related to that, saying, hey, you, they loved you, they
rode with you every game you played, and then you're gone.
So part of them is missing and they're mad that
you left, right like you took something from them. I
get that psychology. That's cool. Uh. And for Kyrie Irving, look,
go go do as long as you've got the power
to make decisions for yourself, that's cool. If your teammates

(13:44):
are cool, Like this whole season, right, everybody wringing their
hands and getting mad at Kyrie Irving saying this isn't
fair and that isn't fair. It's like, how do his
teammates truly feel? How does the organization truly feel? Because
they I don't think anybody really gave you a truthful
answer early on right there, was a lot of mealy
mouthed and and mush mouth kind of responses from Steve

(14:04):
Nash and other people about it. And then eventually he
was back, maybe out of necessity, maybe because they realize
that they needed a man of his ilk to make
a push. But all of a sudden that got kind
of quiet, and he's still hey, I was true to myself,
and here I am back in the playoffs. So you
have that, and people are gonna people are gonna be
mad at at players that exercise any level of power.

(14:27):
We see that time and again. Why fans are mad
at the wide receivers in the NFL too, that where
you have the fm PI situations even becoming possible. Jason,
same thing here, like, damn it, just go to work.
Why can't you just go to work just like me?
Twitter it out about a fresca. Mike gets swollen doub

That Jason Smith Show with My best friend Mike Harmon.
Sure I'd like to spank your bald head, and you
know tye shirt. I had to say, I'm starting to

(15:09):
pick up some of the lyrics to this. I'm starting
to sing it around my house. Good God. But joining
us now on the hotline longtime friend of the show
Fox Sports Radio MLB Network insider extraordinaire who now unfortunately
is going to have to pass a test before he

(15:31):
is allowed on the show tonight. It is John Paul
Morossy JP. Are you ready to pass your one question
quiz to participate in the show tonight. There is a
lot of pressure here. I have not taken the test
since college, and even then I was not exactly a
model student. So I'm a little bit nervous. But please

(15:52):
proceed with the question. All right, here's your question. Baseball
has been played for almost a hundred and fifty years now.
I'm going to ask you this right now. Who has
the most wins in Major League Baseball? Who does it?
Who does Who's got him, who's got him? Who's got
the most exact moment? Tonight? The answer to that question

(16:13):
is the New York Mets. Hey John PAULA Rossi's gonna
be with us Tonight's gonna answer all kinds of great
question York Mets, and listen, they have had they they
have not had, as we know, a perfect start to
the season by any stretch. Of course, They've had players
already on the COVID. I l Nimo comes back tonight.

(16:33):
UH And now, of course Surezer looks like himself tremendous,
vintage like performance. I gotta tell you there's a reason
why I think I did frighten you earlier on in
the season when I talked about how bullish I've been
on the Mets, and at least their current performance is
validating my optimism for them. They have the most runs

(16:53):
in Major League Baseball, They've allowed the second fewest runs.
I mean, really, I'm looking at their what's the Mets
magic number? That's my questions. What's the magic number? We
talked about it last week, right Tylard McGill. Tonight it
was six innings, four and runs you had. They still
found a way to win. They had lind Or. I
think to me, that's probably the biggest difference, if you're
really going to break it down from a baseball sense.

(17:15):
They got the lind Or they thought they were trading for. Uh.
When when last season began, and he is now anchoring
to line up batting third. I think you've seen McNeil obviously,
he's played well setting the table at the top Escobar
book show. Walter is a huge fan of Eduardo Escobar
coming in this year. So for a lot of different reasons,
they're they're in pretty good shape. The Phillies, to me,

(17:37):
still are a team that could be dangerous, but right
now the Mets of the more complete team one through
twenty eight. I don't know, JP surets are going on
in two pitches tonight. I I don't know that. I like, fine,
he's fine tripping out tonight. Well, I'll tell you what
we know this about ser and he has been very
honest in the past. Uh you think about playoff with

(18:00):
the Nationals, even last year with the Dodgers. He's not
going to push himself past the point where he's comfortable
and and to me, he he knows his body. I
don't think Max would have thrown that many pitches if
he didn't feel like he was in a good place
to recover and be back out there in five days. Yeah. No,
it was completely the tongue in cheek of the early

(18:21):
part of the season and what we're seeing in terms
of pitch accounts, because you know, JP the number one
topic in Los Angeles since the Lakers have been eliminated
from anything meaningful, uh is still Clayton Kershaw. A week later,
phil Kershaw more more so than more so than Freddie
Freeman hitting a home run his first Dodger home run

(18:41):
in his first at bath against the Brave. Now, now
that was a pretty great moment last night, no no question.
But you know that's happy. This is sports. So he
only get so far with that, right. Here's what I
would say to you about the Kershaw thing. He effectively
told Dave Roberts after six innings that he had one

(19:01):
more inning left. So I just don't know how you
would take the best left hander of your generation and
push him beyond where he said he was comfortable going
after six innings to push him beyond that. I just
think he made the right They both made the right call.
Kershaw made the right call. Dave Roberts made the right call.

(19:23):
I think the standard for the Dodgers right now is
winning the last game of the season in October, and
if you have to save an inning here there in April,
you do it. I know it's not necessarily the most
dramatic way to answer that question, but I really think
that the Dodgers made the right call there. Well, clearly
they're looking ahead, going, boy, hey, we're looking at the
Mets in the NLC. Everything lined up, We got every

(19:45):
They're wondering, how does Kershaw match up against Tyler and
McGill in Game one? Well? Maybe sure, we'll see. Hey,
so JP, We're starting to get the stories because we're
starting to pay attention out of teams going to Toronto.
In fact, Aaron Boone was asked about it today. Hey, Yankees,
you guys had a lot of unvaccinated players. What's your
roster gonna be like when you go to Toronto coming

(20:07):
up in a week? He says, Ah, I think we're
gonna be okay. We're starting to see teams now missing
players when they go to Toronto. We can tell the
ones that are not vaccinated. Are we gonna see big
numbers for these teams as they start going, We're gonna
see seven, eight, ten guys that suddenly can't play. Will
it be one or two? What do you think these
numbers are gonna be? You know, it's a great question
and obviously, in the case of the athletics, it was three.

(20:30):
And then the unique thing about the rules now is
that you have to then, at least as it currently
sits now, this is sort of a a sort of
separate track of decision making, and it's this is really
obviously a matter of governmental policy that could change any day,
of course, but as it stands now, under current law,

(20:53):
if you're gonna fly back into the US, you have
to test negative before you board that plane within hours
of departure. And so while while Oakland was affected by
not having three players go on the trip to Toronto,
they had even more players test positive on the re

(21:13):
entry test to get back into the States, and so
they're not available until they can. Obviously, you have to
test negative across the border and and then you have
to have tested negative twice to be able to get
back on the active roster. So I think, is it
is it an issue to be dealt with? Of course,
I mean, it's it's it's here in front of us, uh,

(21:33):
Charlie Montoyo said today he was asked about it. I
think his answer was was correct and fair, that the
rules are the rules, and at this point in time,
you know, you think about on paraphrasing here, you know,
last year and then the year before that, there weren't
necessarily a ton of people feeling sorry for them for
not being able to play in Toronto because they went
a season and a half basically without being able to

(21:55):
play there. So I think it's to me we are
all learning new things every day with respect to regulations.
Obviously I flew this week on the way there, I
had to wear a mask on the way back. That
the rules are changed. So we're we're all we're all
in the different world of course, as as we're all
learning with respect of the pandemic. But I do think

(22:17):
this that if if there was any illusion or belief
that when the season began that we were done with this,
and that's clearly not not the case. I mean, when
you think about the the sub the sub Omo crown
variant that we've heard a lot about here in recent weeks,
there are still cases out there, and so I think
caution is still required and not just required, but it

(22:38):
is to your point and the question, it's a competitive
advantage to keep your players a healthy and be to
be vaccinated, and that's just that's the way it is
in terms of having your full complimented players able to go.
We can certainly there are plenty of other programs where
where we could debate and discuss the merits of the policies,
but the reality is that the rules exist and teams

(23:01):
that have large numbers of unvaccinated players are at a disadvantage.
That's just the simple reality of where the game is
right now based on the entry and exit regulations going
into Canada. Fox Sports Radio Jason Smith Show with Mike
Carmen on the Hotline with us n h L Network.
But right now we're talking all things Major League Baseball
MLB Network broadcaster. I'm Michigander and a man who needs

(23:25):
your help. He is just a little over two thousand
followers away from hitting the big four hundred k. You
can find him on Twitter at John MORROSSI. That's right,
j O N M O R O S. I leave
out that a H because Mom said, so, I'm wait
what wait, what happens first, John MORROSSI gets to that
four hundred thousand or Mguel Cabrera gets to three thousandks

(23:48):
for taking my my questions question I get there first.
The first question. Uh, it is within his control. He
is now only handful hits the way and obviously guys
to me, when you think about the select group of
players with fives and three thousand hits, I mean that

(24:10):
is that is as as Bob Costas would say, the
inner circle of Hall of Fame, I mean that is
a head is a remarkable company to be in, and
Miguel belongs. He deserves to be in it. So it's
it's been fun to watch his journey, fun to watch
his career and and covered of course for a lot
of years in Detroit. And it's also been really I
think engaging to see how much that this young team

(24:32):
is really enliven mcguel and then giving him this new
boost I think entering this this big round number. So
it's been fun to watch he's I think he's really
it seems like it's bad as a little more alive
this year than it was last year, and there's not
that same pressure I think that was going along with
the five runs is so much. It's not an easy
milestone by any stretch, of course, but I think it's

(24:53):
a little calmer one for him to take in and achieve,
and I think he can maybe savor this a bit
more as as compared to La Star was a bit
of an anxiety inducing pursuit, I believe on the road
to five hundred home runs? All right, well, so let
me follow up to that. I mean, I haven' been
to the Hall of Fame and been able to wander
around the last couple of years, but I remember there
were a lot of pictures of Pete Rose, even though

(25:14):
he couldn't be in for that three thousand hit five
hundred home runs? Is there a picture of Rafael Palmero
that someone has just slid into the Hall of Fame
just so he's included? Uh? And be why aren't we
talking about Miguel Cabrera more in that capacity with large jet?
Is it because of Detroit and Florida being the homes?
You know? It's it's a great question. I think that,

(25:35):
Um with respect to Palmero, I there are players who
have uh shall we say, complicated or or sullied legacies
that that have artifacts in the Hall. So I cannot
recall if I saw Palmero artifacts when I was last there.
But there are parts of the story. There are parts

(25:57):
of the steroid here that are explicitly mentioned in in
the Hall of Fame. It's part of the game's history,
so that museum portion of it is there, and I
really admire the the totality of the history of the
Hall of Fame tells. With respect to Miguel, I do think, yes,
I think market size could could have some bearing on this.

(26:17):
He's someone that has never really given all that many long,
wide ranging UM interviews in terms of being out there
in public. Uh, he's always been a quieter player in
terms of how he's handled the media attention. I remember,
even going for the Triple Crown, he didn't really want
to talk all that much. He didn't love the attention

(26:38):
even going after something like that. So I think he's
probably a function of how he has played the game
the the perhaps the more subtle way that that he
has played the last several years, where it's been uh,
not the same loud power numbers, of course, But but
listen that that debate, the Cabrera Trout m VP debates,

(26:59):
parts one and two of and thirteen. We're pretty pretty
unique and and rather contentious. So I think, well, we
talked a whole lot about him about a decade ago.
But you're right that since the Tigers last appeared in
the playoffs in UM he has not had the same
notoriety around the game. And I think this, this milestone
hopefully gives them a much deserved boost. Hey JP, speaking

(27:23):
of the Tigers, I uh, the baseball world the eye
on the game tonight. The Yankees win, but in true
Yankee fashion, even a win has met with the sky
is falling. Garrett Cole throws sixty eight pitches in an
inning and two thirds tonight, strikes out three in the first,
walks a batter, walks four guys in the second, gets

(27:43):
pulled out of the game. What is going on with him?
I mean, I didn't think it was possible to throw
sixty eight pitches and less than two innings. I didn't
think you could do that, right, And and uh, I
believe Tyler Alexander on the Tiger's side, I think it
was forty two pitches in the first inning and then
he was he was pulled those It was a strange day.
And of course, the Yankees scored two runs, the first
sitting on a on a missed pop up that traveled

(28:05):
about five ft from home plate. So there's there was
a bizarre night down at the ballpark in Detroit. A
couple of things. Number one I really try not to
judge too much about pitching on a cold day in
April in Detroit. I love Detroit. I love April in Detroit.
It's not the best venue to to really judge pitching,

(28:28):
especially given everything we know about Garrit Coles last year,
and and and the crackdown against the sticky substances, and
how this is probably a day where in the past
you would have used that stuff liberally, to be honest
with you, on a cold day. That is sort of
that had become rather commonplace in in Major League Baseball.
So I think he's still searching for it a little bit.

(28:50):
Um He's never quite fully gotten on track. Of course,
we saw the wild Card game. You go back to
the game against Boston. He wasn't fully healthy there. He's
just still kind of building back up. I understand the
scrutiny on him, but I would say this, I want
to give it one like one more month. If if
he is still if his e R A S and

(29:11):
the fives or six is in the middle of May,
I think vin some alarm is warranted, but he would
not be the He's not the only picture having a
little bit of an aberrational month of April coming out
of a lockout in cold weather in the Midwest and
the Northeast. He's on Twitter at John Morrossy. That is
at John Morrossy MLB Network, Fox Sports Radio Insider. JP

(29:33):
is always appreciated and congratulations on scoring on your quiz
to begin the interview, thank you. I am going to
be ready for that question to come back as long
as the answer is Mets. If it's not the answer
any longer, you'll begin with a different question. Take it easy,
but we'll talk to you the best, guys. It's always

(29:54):
a pleasure to talk baseball, do you guys? Thanks so much,

New Orleans with a five point lead over the Sun.

(31:00):
You get nervous, now, my sons, they'll come from your sons,
My sons. Uh So, while this is going on, Hey
how about we play? And now it's the Magic Johnson
Twitter game. Here we go. I give you the tweet.

(31:21):
You tell me if it's a Magic Johnson tweet or
made up entirely by me. He has been on a
recap game recap running trend in the last couple of days.
So here we go, playing as myself, Mike Carmen, Brian Fenley,
Alex tyshert ty shirt was four in one. Let's see
if he can continue on here. That was a great shot.

(31:45):
That was a great shot. Is that a Magic Johnson tweet?
There's no context so I'm gonna say no, Okay, I'm
gonna be the contrarian and I'm gonna say yes, Okay, Gosh, Jason,
this one's tough. Yeah, um, this one. I feel like
he is just enough of contexts for him. But I

(32:08):
think you're trying to confuse me. So I'm gonna say no,
all right now, Remember he did have what a game
was a real one? This is that was a great shot.
That is not there, not Brian five and one. It
hasn't been an explosive start for James Harden, but he's

(32:28):
doing a lot of the little things to help the
seventies sixers. He's a former league m v P who's
still adjusting to his new team in the playoffs. And
we'll get back on his superstar track very soon. Is
that a Magic Johnson? No, because he'd throw his back
out carrying all that water. For James Harden, there's no

(32:50):
there's no superstar that Magic doesn't love. He loves everybody. No,
I get that, But that was mean that that was
a reach. You put your answer. Yeah, that's fine, you
said no, that's fine. Shirt. By the way, James Harden,
he plays in the NBA. That's I'm gonna go that
is a real tweet because that probably just fits the

(33:12):
character limit in a tweet on Twitter. Judging by Brian's record,
I'm gonna go with Mike and say no on this one.
That is not Yeah, baby, who's not you ever questioned
the knowledge of ty shirt? How dare you? Who's watching

(33:32):
Utah and Dallas right now? Utah had a big lead,
but the Mavericks have chipped away at it to finally
take the lead early in the fourth quarter. They've made
almost twenty three pointers so far and don't look like
they're going to stop. Is that a Magic Johnson tweets?
That's pretty good in the moment, reporting by Magic Johnson.
But I'm gonna say no, it's too specific. He said,

(33:55):
what twenty three three pointers? That's a lot of counting,
and I think that he usually is. It's almost twenty
three pointers, almost almost almost twenty three pointers. Okay, then
I'm gonna go yes, because if you go specific with him,
you're probably not going to get it. Okay, I'm onto you, Jason,
and I know what you're doing here. That is a

(34:15):
Magic Johnson tweet? Oh that is not magic? Harmon? You
followed fendly Tysher has Twitter up on Magic Johnson's page
right now. Not even use Twitter. He's still on Friendster.
It's fine, I'm on my Space. Get right. Dallas Mavericks
point guard Jalen Brunson will be a free agent this

(34:38):
summer and we'll get paid a lot of money for
his services. No, that's the segment we're gonna do coming
up next, Not a Magic Johnson tweet. All right, I'll go. Yes,
but I think he meant to say Rick Brunson. I'm
just kidding, just kidding, Charles Bronson. Yes, yes, I should
have done this earlier. It is not I follow Mike.

(35:00):
That is a magic sweet. I think you're lying. Go
find it, Go find it's right. No, no, don't go
find because we're gonna play this game again, so don't cheat.
You can go find it next hour. We played it
the last time. That percentage tight shirts going down the
winds and six and three, Brian, the degree of difficulty

(35:22):
on this one has been up that you've really upped
your game. Huge story out of the NFL coming up next,
