You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. I hate that song.
Greetings and welcome inside the final hour of The Jason
Smith Show with my big friend Mike Harmon. Bing bang.
One of the best things I can tell you tonight.
Magic Johnson is tweeting, Yes, you will get to play,
(00:44):
and now it's the Magic Johnson Twitter game. It's not now,
it's not now. That big tease, not now, it's not now.
It's okay, back to say it would be a little
bit and he's trying to get his timing down like
(01:06):
it's a Jeopardy buzzer. Uh, so we will play the
Matchic Johnson Twitter game coming later on, coming up later
on this hour. Meanwhile, Celtics uh the aftermath the afterglow
of their one sixteen over the Warriors in Game three.
(01:30):
It was a dominant Celtics effort. I don't want to
say from start to finish, because they had a little
bit of trouble. I mean, they surrendered the you can't
say start to finish. That's why I said, you can't
say start to finish. But they quickly got back on
top going to the fourth quarter and they pulled away
(01:50):
to now it's like a two games to one lead
in the NBA Finals. For the first time in twelve years,
the Box and Celtics have a home game in the
NBA Finals and they will win it going away. The
final score Busted one, six State, Golden State one. The
Celtics have a two games to one league in the
NBA Finals. Celtics Radio Network on the call for the Celtics.
(02:12):
It was the Big Three, Jayson Tatum with twenty six,
Jalen Brown with twenty seven, Marcus Smart with twenty four.
But this is where things get a little bit different, right.
We're gonna get to Draymond Green coming up in a second,
but a little bit of Celtics before we get to
the UH. The situation with Golden State, Um, what Jason
Tatum is doing right? And I'm not trying to get
him the m v P, because you know, I picked
Marcus Smart to be the m v P. But even
(02:34):
when he has nights where it's not his night shooting, right,
Because Jayson Tatum has these nights, he does two things
that are incredibly important. One, he keeps shooting because he
knows he needs to put the ball in the basket.
So nights like tonight where he's more of a volume shooter, yeah,
he had twenty six twenty three shots. Not out of
twenty three. He did not shoot very well, but he
(02:56):
keeps shooting. But what he does on these nights as well,
you look at the assist column and Jayson Tatum knows
the Knights it's not falling. I need to make sure
I get guys involved. And he can feel that, and
his playmaking ability has gone up another level. He's not
just a big time score and a guy that can
(03:16):
score in the clutch. He has now moved his game
and altered his game a little bit to where he
is now a threat to do that. So the Knights
where Jason Tatum, Ah, he's kind of having a tough night,
shooting doesn't matter. Thirteen assists in game one, nine assist
in game three. Uh, this is what he brings, and
when he can do that, he still remains a dangerous player.
(03:37):
He's not someone that Okay, when he's not shooting well,
you can move him to the side. Right, he's not
his night, Let's focus on the other guys. His shots
not coming, he's doesn't have confidence. He is still able
to affect the game that way, and that's what a
true superstar can do. It's been a great series so far,
even though he hasn't shot well, it's been a great
series for Jason Tatum. Yeah. I mean, I think the
big thing is pointing out not only the nine assists,
(03:59):
but also when it counted he was ready to go
right fourth quarter. He played fantastic basketball, right, and the
assist totals have been pretty remarkable. But give credit to
the guys, you know, go owing back to Draymond's response
from Game one, you know, these guys are professional shooters
and they will make some of those shots. So they're
gonna make them out. No, but you know what they
(04:19):
made enough tonight. I don't know that He pointed out
that ten of the three point shots were from the
quote unquote peak three of this squad and ten of
the thirteen makes. But the fact for Jayson Tatum because
right now he's got a lot of incoming because everybody's
trying to assess what he is. Right. As much as
you want to push him forward as you have saying hey,
(04:42):
maybe an m v P run next year, there's still
that reticence to be that guy to take over from
a I'm going to score the basketball. I wanted to
use that phrase score. It's It's one that every time
I hear it, it just makes the hair out the
back of my next dand up. So I thought i'd
use it. They're like, you're gonna score something else. Oh,
(05:03):
I'm not scoring the basketball. What are you scoring? I'm
scoring the h I'm scoring the New Careful, I'm scoring
the new Star Wars movie. That's what I'm doing. I'm writing.
I'm taking over for John Williams. Nicely done. I'm scoring.
I'm official scoring the Mets game. Hit by the Padres,
hit hit hit, hit, hit hit. Okay, I'm done scoring
the Mets game now. Not just to give a little
bit of love. I mean, they did have that big
(05:24):
celebration and at ninety years old, John Williams was conducting,
you know, a big orchestra to introduce Harrison Ford and
a little bit of love for Indiana Jones. So I
mean he got that going for you too. So, uh,
you not only get you get two huge franchises that
you would have to take over. That the inevitable reboot
of Jaws for the next generation, which has to happen
(05:45):
here and in in some some time frame. That would
be the title Jaws the Next Generation. You thought Jaws
was dead and it would show like Jaws having babies
and you have to wait for the art great. But
what's great is Michael Caine is still with us, so
he could reprise his role from the three Classic four.
Maybe we get that that orangutang in from the Last
(06:07):
couple of Days too, that was grabbing that guy who
tried to get too close to the cage man that
that's a pretty guy. That's pretty good what you saw
the jackass last week? I tried to uh pad a
lion and the lion took off one of that doesn't Yeah,
I don't know what people are thinking. I'll caught on video.
Good job by him, Twitter and out about a Fresco
Mike and Smollen do just this is just an appreciation
(06:31):
for Jayson Tatum but honestly, this is what superstars do.
When this part of my game is not going highlight,
I need to make sure I continue to affect the game.
And that's what he does. And it's like I said,
it's been a great series for Jayson Tatum so far.
See I like the way that you have positively spun
this into a This is how he's becoming a superstar
as as opposed to saying I'm taking over the game.
(06:54):
Good for you. Look, you guys got twenty five assists
in three games. It's pretty good. Two really really good games.
That's how it's done, man, it's how it's done. It's
more that Draymond has. Speaking of Draymond Green, who had
a craptastic night tonight, uh, two points, three rebounds, He
had six fouls. Uh, not a big night from Draymond.
(07:18):
He gets disqualified from the game after a rough foul
late in the fourth quarter. And I told you earlier
in the show, I really would have a lot of
respect for him if he would own the fact that
he just played crappy tonight, because he never does it.
He always is great to take credit for what's going on.
And when he plays well, and I don't know why
he can't sustain this more. You think in the NBA Finals,
(07:39):
when you're not asking him to score a lot, he's
able to affect the game where it's not like he's
got a score. He can be he can be two
and eleven and ten and have a great game and
affect the game defensively. You're not asking him to score,
So what he does he should be able to do
more consistently. But he's had bad games now a couple
of times. And I said I'd respected if he would
(07:59):
own it. Well, let's listen to Draymond Green and hear
how Yes, he apparently listens to our show, because he
did own the craptastic game he had. Just what was
your reaction to the crowd chance that were directed to
you throughout the game? No, they're just talking. Uh not
really my job to react to him. So they did
(08:21):
what I expected. Marcus back right, Marcus Thompson, the athletic
Vermount How do you How do you feel you played?
What was the difference to this game? I just think
I never found a rhythm um really on both friends
of the floor, so not enough force. But I just
(08:42):
gotta find a rhythm quicker the Athletic they had fifteen
offensive rebounds. You guys are protected the glass really well,
you know pretty much all playoffs. What do you think
was the issue on the glass? Oh? Yeah, I think
that's just a force thing. Um. You know, then once
you get comfortable, you established that presses, then the ball
just kind of finds you. Jacob Front, Jake Fisher, Bleacher Report, Um, Draymond.
(09:04):
I'm not saying it's why you struggle tonight by any means,
but I found listening to your podcast recaps the last
couple of games pretty interesting. Are you conscious at all
of what you're saying about next and knows the game
plants adjustments could be making their way back to Boston
staffers and influencing their decision making at all. I don't
say much different on the podcast, and I say to
(09:25):
you right here, so, Nah, what's the accident os that
I said on the podcast? Actually, that's the only real
thing I noticed that, Like we really stud out. We
talked about how to cover White, Smart and Horrford differently
between games one and two. That was really only oh yeah,
that was just contestant shots that if that's excess and
ose and down, you're reaching for something it's all good.
(09:48):
They'll keep going reaching heavy. The only thing you find
that they are taking excess and ose away from your
your podcast. The only thing you've said is um White,
smart and Horford. I'm not trying to throw it out
that I mean you went for but I respect appreciate
(10:09):
the podcast promo you just gave me. The Draymond Green
Show you next time, just mentioned it that way, got alright,
So the Draymond Green Show. On the podcast, you will
hear Draymond say I played like Black tonight. Uh so, yeah,
Draymond a little bit defensive when you bring up this podcast.
Here's the thing, and this is what Draymond Green has
(10:31):
to understand. When you are doing something outside of basketball
during the NBA Finals and you don't play well, guess
what's gonna be brought up as a reason you're not
playing well? Okay, I mean whether or not it's a
reason or not looking Draymond Green is not playing well
because he's doing a podcast. You know, he's not giving
away any kind of defensive secrets that that have to Oh.
(10:53):
Like I said this, but the angle and the story
is always going to be Are you as focused as
you need to be? Are you as focused as do
you need to be doing your podcast during the NBA Finals. Right,
It's like Tony Romo taking that trip to Cabo. Uh,
you know all those years ago during a playoff game
the Giants or the Giants on the boat? Did? Did
(11:15):
Did Giants lose that playoff game to the Packers because
they were all on the boat in Florida? Did? Did
the Cowboys lose because Tony Romo was in Cabo? Of
course not. But you give voice and you give oxen
to that storyline, and the more you hear it, the
more people accept it. And maybe maybe people that you
don't want to think ago, Yeah, maybe he's a little
bit more concerned with this podcast than he is other
(11:36):
things that's gonna come up. Man, don't be defensive, because
this is this is part of it. You've played the
You've played the media game long enough to know what's
gonna play as a story and what's not. So you
want to do your podcast during the finals and bring
a lot of attention to it and all the stuff. Yeah,
but if you play bad and you've had two crappy
games so far, yeah, that's gonna wind up being a storyline.
(11:56):
It's not out of bounds to bring it up, and
more importantly, he should know that's gonna be brought up.
It's going to whether whether it's a legit storyline or not.
It's something that becomes the question, Hey, is Draymond Green
as focused as he needs to be. He's got to
know that. Well, it became the opportunity to go hashtag
new media greater than old media by kind of mocking
the content. Uh that the interviewer brought up. I would
(12:20):
have liked it better if he'd asked the question like
you just brought You just said, just point blank, should
you be doing a podcast during the NBA Finals and
left it at that, because once he went to the specificity,
he got owned and Draymond, sensing the opportunity to really
get after it, said okay, what'd you find in there? Uh,
(12:41):
and belabored the point between that and now everybody from
the Warriors complaining about the use of the F bomb
by Boston fans. Uh in the chance to Draymond and
other circumstances. Uh, you've added a bunch of extra error
into the room. Uh that you know, we'll give things
his life. But we we talked about Draymond and focus
(13:04):
you know every you mentioned that A couple of the
classic examples that are always brought up, most of which
you you could say I had one to two percent
of anything just because they well they couple hours that
they weren't looking at tape or on a practice field. Great,
but who's doing right? So it's a much ado about nothing.
(13:25):
But it becomes anecdotes and once it's in the uh,
the atmosphere of sports talk radio, column nous and the
Wikipedia pages, it becomes a paragraph that lives forever. Twitter
and how about a fresca? Mike gets swollen down The
Jason Smiths with Mike Armen Draymond Green loves to play
with fire. Well, guess what, Good luck playing with it?
Good luck fire walk with me? Good luck keep doing
(13:48):
that pocket? Did you really just do a firewalk? Just did?
I just did a firewalk with me? Oh? I just
love running that line. You just keep bringing that that
that show back now, But that's a firewalk with me
when you're twin p Yes, it was so bad when
it came out, but the movie got so good over time.
I can't even tell you. Be sure to catch live
editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays
(14:10):
at ten pm Eastern seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports
Radio and the I Heart Radio app Fox Sports Radio
The Jason Smith Show with My big Friend Mike Harmon.
He sounds sexy live from the Fox Sports or Radio studios.
You know, just a little bit more on Draymond Green
before we get into Steph Curry and and and and Nickelback. Unfortunately, uh,
(14:34):
you know, we we we played his postgame press conference
a few minutes ago and he got really agitated when
a reporter asked him about his podcast that he's recording.
He continues to record during the NBA Finals. Draymond wants
to be him. He wants to be the next Charles Barkley.
He has caught up in that and fully knows that's
gonna happen. Look, we told you a year ago he
was going to be the next Charles Barkley. And here
(14:54):
he is. And yes, I get that, all right. You
know it's it's the NBA Finals. It's when people are
gonna download, and he wants to He wants to be
the king of podcasts as well. I understand that. But
you know, like I said, it's a short walk from
this is a non story to hey, this is a distraction, Draymond,
can you not do your bleeping podcast? We're down three
games to one man, and then it becomes is Draymond
(15:14):
someone focused on basketball. You see how this goes, right?
And the reason I say this is a big deal
is not because suddenly his team is gonna, you know,
just just turn it back on him and go. Draymond's
concerned with other things. But there is no group of
athletes who care more about what the media says about
them than NBA superstars. You have seen now. They want
(15:37):
to get into it with everybody, right, whether it's daytime
hot talk shows, whether it's it's it's radio host, whatever
it is, they want to get in on it, and
they want to get in and they don't like it
when they're criticized. They don't like when people say things
bad about them. They want to get out. They want
to use their voice. And I get it, and that's awesome.
But this is where things become go from a non
(15:59):
story to being a distraction because now here's Draymond continues
to record his podcast. Now he gets upset when he's
asked about it. You know that it's gonna be said
on the daytime shows tomorrow, and all the shows are
just they're they're just like like like like a dopeman
with with or a piece that with a big steak
in their mouths going I can't wait, I can't wait
to talk about Draymond and get after him because maybe
(16:19):
he'll get back to me on Twitter and he'll say something,
and it becomes an all big thing. Look, Draymond and
Kevin Durant and all these guys. Look, all the daytime
shows are recording us talking right now, said yes, yes,
let's use all these talking points, and Jason and micro saying, uh,
this is why it becomes a big deal, because then
it does become a distraction and a story where hey,
Draymond's doing his podcast during the finals. If you're doing
(16:42):
it and you're losing, and it's been brought up as
a storyline legit or not, and you want to get
into it with other members of the media on it,
as Draymond clearly could have blown off the question, but
still I want to get in Hey, yeah, you know, yeah,
you keep trying, keep trying to make a storyline happen.
Guess what, we don't have to Draymond greening his podcast
is a or, and now it's here, and now it's big,
(17:02):
and now it gets to that point where, okay, it
could really be that distraction and it starts to seep
into everything else. It's it's a non it's a it's
a story that doesn't need to be a story. And
sometimes you have to know when, all right, maybe the
optic here isn't worth it, Maybe the optic is not
worth it, and maybe Draymond stops and then that but
(17:23):
now I'm sure Draymond's thinking, But then then then everybody
else wins. If I stopped doing my podcast, is gonna
be all they made me stop doing my podcast? It's
the NBA Finals. Uh okay, you know what, good luck?
Because the NBA Finals go and and the Warriors lose
and you play badly for this guess who's gonna get
all the blame? And and for someone who wants somebody
(17:44):
to say good things about them, that's not gonna go
well for Draymond Green. He's already got blamed for the
losing the finals a couple of years ago to the
Cavaliers because he got thrown out of Game five and
they couldn't win the series the rest of the way.
Now there's gonna be another Finals that Draymond Green is
gonna get blamed for if they lose. Who's so understand
I hope he gets that that's what's going to happen.
I can see the storylines. I can see how it's
(18:06):
gonna go for him. He's not gonna be happy, and
in the end, the Warriors aren't gonna be happy because
this is where it's going. This it's not there now,
but this is where it's headed. Well, let's just remember
between he and Kevin Durant Lebron James, they've gone out
of their way to talk about how little anybody commenting
in social media or the old media traditional media knows
(18:28):
about anything anyway. So if you try to put on
the Draymond that it was his podcast or it's him
that's taken them down, he's gonna laugh. And he's going
to even though he did own the Hey, he played
terribly tonight on the the overall, it's still going to
be a message back at the media and their understanding
(18:48):
of basketball. Right. I think we can stipulate to that,
uh for it becoming a war of words. Yeah, he
enjoys it because he could have really blown this off right,
and as soon as you you really start doing the protests.
I mean, this guy asked a question. He was just
trying to I think just maybe he wanted to ask
the should you be doing a podcast question? But it
(19:10):
became a specificity on you know, a piece of information
because Draymond checked him on it. Right, all right, what
did I give away? He could have blown it off
just saying hey, thanks to thanks for listening, appreciate it.
I think they know what they're doing on the other
side to be in the NBA finals asked answered, yes,
(19:31):
go listen to my podcast. Say the name ha ha. Instead,
he went out of his way to belittle the guy.
And I'm sure there are plenty that will defend uh
that choice and and course of action UH in the
coming hours as as bold and looks he just doesn't
care like well. The question then becomes for big thought
(19:52):
pieces about how much you care as you you laid
it out to start things. So for Draymond Green still
one of the most entertaining as at the microphone, I
want to ask a bigger question coming out of Draymond
and everybody else, when the hell does it did it
become okay? And to bring your kids to work day
for the ten minutes you got to meet with the media.
Because he wasn't alone. It seemed like everybody had a
(20:15):
kid sitting next to them. Well, it's been one of
those It's one of those stories that it happens a
couple of times and it's cute and it gets kind
of funny, and then it's like, yeah, you want to
come sit with me during the during the whole thing. Okay, okay,
I mean maybe they think I'll get less tougher questions
because maybe you want to ask me tough questions in
front of my kids. I mean, you know, maybe they
think that I didn't stop Draymond from curson though, didn't
(20:37):
stop him from dropping in that stop with this kid
right there, So you know there's that. I mean, he
heard it on the playground. Well, that's what my kids
tell me all the time. It's like, you could say
whatever you want, dad, I'm finishing middle school. I've heard
that plenty of times. Yeah, once the kids get to
middle school, the language gets a lot looser. Look, I
I'm pretty good. I don't drop a lot, but every
(21:00):
once in a while, you know, there's that moment and
you think you're you're muttering your under your breath, and
and then one of either eleanor Madeline Guy. I heard
that one years ago, especially Eleanor At this point, Remember
I I work with a lot of temperamental theater kids.
Twitter and out about a Fresca Mike and Swollen done
(21:20):
the Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmen.
Just think about that for a second, that you know,
an NBA star like Draymond or Kevin Durant whoever else,
wants to engage. They think they're winning, right. They think
I'm winning because I'm calling out the people that say
things about me. Meanwhile, No, what you're doing is creating
a knuckle headed storyline that fans and media and team
(21:42):
seeing and go, what are they doing? What? What do
they do? What are they doing? Why are you focused
on what somebody says during the you know, during a
daytime TV show, Because that's all they're trying to do
is get a reaction out of you. Right, I've said
it many times before, how so many TV shows during
the day now sports shows don't care about listeners. They
just care about engaging with stars and and and because
(22:03):
I can do this, because I can affect storylines, and
I can engage with stars, and when it gets viral,
we get clicks and I look like I'm doing a
great job. They don't care about what about what what
the product they put out there for for fans? All right? No,
they want to let me say all the crazy things
I can try to get a response from somebody I
know is dying to respond to me. Sometimes it's easy.
(22:25):
And Draymond Green and Kevin Durant and these guys, and
Aaron Rodgers and Baker may for these guys will do
it sometimes will sometimes they won't. But you can see
everybody try to do it. And it's easy with NBA guys,
especially now, because yeah, they're okay with being part of this.
I'll go back at you. Okay, that's great. If it
makes you feel good, that's great. And then you back
off and go oh, all I've done is create a
knucklehead storyline for myself. So okay, wait, wait, wait, wait,
(22:48):
let me ask a big important question now. Would that
help me get an extra zero on my salary? Is
this good for my Yeah? But but Draymond Green makes
a lot of money, right Okay, I don't care about
him right now. Blank Draymond Green. You can print that
and send it to it. I'll be talking about me
(23:08):
and the brand called me in this moment. I wasn't
worried about what he cared about and building his brand
right now, because we all know that that's what this
is all about. You met the zeros in the paychecks
of the people. My pay Yeah, my paycheck, I thought
you meant Draymond Green. Okay, no, blank him. No. Look,
it always helps. It always helps your It always helps
(23:29):
your paycheck. Because look, what what's the big metric that
we that we work and talk about now right? You
gotta get clicks online. You got people gotta get clicks online.
People are going to your things. Doesn't matter ratings how
you you can get those clicks online. Look, we had
a million views of this or five views of this. Oh,
it must have done really really well. It must be
a big deal and people pay a lot of attention
to it. So yeah, it helps. I've been really good
(23:51):
about not being not not jumping into the hot take nonsense,
priding myself on reasonable rational takes, explanations, ripping apart some
of your theories, corroborating others. Maybe I just throw that
all and flip it on its head and just start
really going full full bore Twitter. And how about a
(24:12):
fresca Mike gets swollen? Done The Jason Smith Show with
my best friend Mike Rmon live from the Fox Sports
Radio Studios. We got more coming up in a few minutes.
But you know what we're gonna do right now, it's
time to play. It's the Magic Johnson Twitter Game. All
(24:35):
that to Johnson, the most obvious at vanilla tweeter in
the world's back at it with a vengeance tonight. So
we play the Magic Johnson Twitter Game. I give you
the tweet. You tell me if it's a tweet Magic
Johnson put out, or if it's made up entirely by
me playing as myself. Mike Harmon, Justin Frostburg, Alex tysher
(24:55):
Mans Bolano. So you guys ready, let's get it all
right here we go. That's Jalen Brown scored twenty seven
points and nine rebounds in tonight's win over Golden State.
Is that a man? Yeah, it's Haylen Brown scored twenty
seven points and nine rebounds in tonight's one win over
(25:18):
Golden State. No, it can't be. It can't. Please don't
tell me it is. I'm gonna say no because it
can't refuse a copy and paste of a box score.
That's absolutely that is a thousand percent magic Johnson. Yes,
that is a magic Johnson tweets I hate this game.
(25:41):
Robert Williams had ten rebounds and eight points. Al Horford
had eleven points and Grant Williams finished with ten points.
Is that magic? Johnson tweet? Zero analysis at all. I'm
gonna say no. I am going to say no. It's
not no chance. Okay, gosh, you're all right right, it
(26:05):
is not. It's not big man. Robert Williams had ten
rebounds and eight points. Al Horford had eleven points and
Grant Williams finished with ten point That is a magic
No way, he doesn't know who Williams has. Come on, Wow,
I can't. That's tweet's insightful. Clay Thompson finally had a
(26:29):
breakout game tonight that may bode well for the Warriors
in Game four? Is that a magic? Johnson twe oh
and ask kissing tweet of Clay Thompson. Absolute. Clay Thompson
finally had a breakout game tonight that may bode well
for the Warriors in Game four. Yeah, he loves future
Laker Clay Thompson. Oh, that's that's tampering, Frostberg, your tampering
(26:52):
assume me. You can't say your tasta be a tweet. OA. No,
it's not all right. Monty's going oh for three. It
is that Alex Is a man, should have went to
top golf. Can you can you ask fourteen questions? So
(27:14):
at least I'm just like the Angels, all lose spourteen
in a row. Okay, keep going. It's not always about
the points, but the assists for players and superstars like
Jayson Tatum. No, that's a Jason Smith. That a magic
Johnson tweet. I'm gonna keep my street going and say
(27:39):
that it is a magic Johnson. I'm gonna go to
the opposite of monster though. Same here. I'm study you
all up for success. I'm going opposite. You hate to
see it. That is not yes Johnson tweet. We are
(28:02):
so I'm perfect, is what you're saying tonight. Jalen Brown
led the Celtics with twenty seven points, Marcus Smart scored
twenty four, and Jayson Tatum had twenty six with nine
assists in the Celtics over the Warriors. Is that a
magic Johnson tweets? Do you really think he knew how
many assists the guy had? Come on, No way, it
(28:24):
wasn't that his whole thing. But he wasn't watching this game.
Come on, he's spinning the ball on his finger, chest
taken from him. It was so that I'm saying it's
not if mon says, yes, that is not Let's go on, perfection, perfectly,
(28:48):
imperfect monster. Steph Curry put on the show, scoring fifteen
points in the third quarter and finishing with thirty one
points total. Is that a magic Johnson tweet? Um? Say
(29:09):
it again? Please? Steph Curry put on a show, scoring
fifteen points in the third quarter and finishing with thirty
one points total. Is that a magic johns Did he
mention anything about him getting hurt? You don't get to
that's the tweet? Is that a tweet? No, it's not. Okay,
yes it is. Yeah, thank thankfully Monty didn't agree with me.
(29:35):
That is Come on, a magic Johnson ki The Warriors
have been forced into a must win situation in Game four,
but they've been down this road before. Is that a
(29:56):
magic Johnson tweet? Is he rhyming? Now the situation in
Game four, but they've been down this road before. He's
wearing the cat and the hat's hat exclamation, a little boxation,
spending a green ham on his no way can't be
(30:18):
a tweet? Yes, well then no way. Oh no, that
is not Johnson. Be sure to catch live editions of

The left to wait until they play the Meds because
no one on the Meds is healthy. They gave up
eleven runs in the first ratings. Tonight, Fox Sports Radio
The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
(31:28):
Before we get back into the NBA Finals. Nickelback has
never a good idea. The Angels tonight decided to try
to shake things up, because you know, they've lost forty
seven games in a row. They decided that every single
player on the team was gonna have nickel Back as
their walk up music tonight. How did this work? Well?
The Angels lost a thirteen twelves. Like no, they didn't
(31:51):
score a run. The Red Sox wanted one to nothing.
So chalk up yet another loss for the Angels. It
has been and just an absolute travesty for them the
past few games. They have now lost not one, not
to fourteen games in a row. They were in second place,
(32:12):
three games out of first, and now they're not and
a half games out and they are four games under five.
All this means is that they're they're gonna lose again
tomorrow and then the Mets will come to town on Friday,
Saturday Sunday, the Angels will break out when the Mets
will get swept. I'm telling you, I see it happening.
I can see it. I thought the Mets are gonna
get swept. Last weekend they were able to split the
(32:34):
series of the Dodgers. Awesome, They lose this series to
the Padres. We lost Alonzo and Marte. Okay, it happens,
they're gonna get swept by the Angels. I got a
bad I'm gonna I'm gonna go to that game Saturday
and walk away going why did Why did I do this?
Why did I spend eight dollars to sit behind the
Mets dugout to do sandwich? Now we saw that. Do
you go sit right basically right next to the dugout
(32:57):
for about seventy bucks? A good deal? You can see
you can sit in the right field bleachers at Dodger
Stadium or behind the Angels dugout for the same amount
of money. That's about right. Yeah, so the curiosity for
the Angels, right, seven of these games one run losses.
It's usually how you know you've got one of the
measures of a bad team. Right. You could say it's
(33:17):
unlucky when it's happening with some regularity. I guess you
know that one timely hit you didn't get or the
one misplaced pitch. But when you're losing that way on
a nightly basis, yeah, there there's problems in terms of
organizational structure, UH and trying to use it with nickel
Back to save you ain't gonna do it. And Mike
(33:40):
Trout's banged up right, the groin injury, and it's it's
all gone to hell ever since that Commissioner issue became
public yea. And Nickelback is not gonna help like you
think how is? How do you think Nickelback is going
to help? Well, I think you're trying to be funny
and ironic, But remember Nickelback did sell tons of albums
for everybody that wants to mock it. You know what,
(34:01):
You probably owned it at some point. You may hate
it now, but you know what. You made them rich,
you know, But like when you could have done it
was Prince's birthday yesterday, you could have gone all Prince songs, right,
it would have made sense to us that did you
go watch the while my guitar gently weep solo? No?
I didn't, But I listened to Purple Rain again in
the in the car like I normally did, and I
skipped over when Doves Cry. Like now, you asked about
(34:25):
the monthly downloads and what Nickelback has ty shirt, and
you have some facts for us on this. If you
had to guess how many monthly plays. Do you think
Nickelback gets on Spotify eleven million monthly plays? Nickelback gets Okay,
it's a lot. I'll tell you that it's a lot,
(34:46):
all right, eleven I think, Well, let's let's see hang on.
The lead singer probably has a couple of friends. You
get to know. I'm gonna say twelve million pretty much,
really twelve million. I gotta go listen to Nickelback, Man,
I gotta go and releasing song Lass doesn't matter. Two
(35:08):
thousand and seven. Tears for Fears just released an album.
By the way, you're going to see them on Sunday
last Sunday. I thought you're going this sun now? Last Sunday.
Last Sunday was your date with man? How did it go?
Are you going to out with her again? Yeah? You're
gonna go see Depeche Mode one band. Police. You don't
(35:31):
see the police? Do do? Do? Dude? I thought it
was this Sunday night. If the police came again, you
can mock it all you want. If that happened, I'm
lining up today. Well usually you say police showing up
in tie shirt, you think of something different, But here
is that? Alright? So here we are. We just put
game three to bed Mike Harmon. Going into Game four,
We're gonna see both teams are gonna leave it all
(35:53):
out on the floor on Friday, who wins Game four?
Celtics goes to three one, You are going to see
the best game of the series. Jayson Tatum is gonna
score forty and the Celtics are gonna be up three
one best game of his life. Well, Draymond tried to
rip his shoulder out of its socket again like he
did this one. Maybe he tries to record his podcast
(36:14):
at halftime in that game, Maybe interviews him on the court.
They got coming up next. This is Fox.
