(00:23):
you're listening to Fox Sports Radio. He sees the bad mood, arising, Hey,
where's my best of the bird c D? And it's
birds with a Y? Where is that? Where? No? I
hate the Eagles? Ma, dad to everything turn turn turn? Hey, Hey, hey,

(00:44):
I can't find my Cornelius brothers and sister Rose c D.
Where is Where's my Al Stewart cassette tape? I got?
Where is that? Jameson? I can't find it. I was
coming back from Syracuse read ready to roll along the
highways to the Year of the Cat, and I got nothing.
The Year of the Cat. It's been a while since

(01:06):
I heard the Year of the Cat. Well, we kind
of referenced it a little bit with the loss from
Gonsolin yesterday. May know it may no longer be the
Year of the cat. It might have been the half
here of a cat. Uh. You know what I love
now is that the number one trending topic on Twitter
as Cashman? Because now what brick can't working? Cashman? What

(01:30):
did I tell you? I said that last hour? Here
it goes. It's blowing up on us right now, said
Yankee fans that the sky is falling. They have an
eleven and a half game lead over the Blue Jays
and they're five and five in their last ten games.
And this is not going on. But it's like we
talked about with your Mets and all teams that think

(01:52):
they're contenders, you're looking at the other teams that you
have to be wary of, right they struggle with the Astros.
You're probably gonna see him in October. So you've got
to figure out how do we match up best, or
how do we match up better? If we can get
into the marketplace and go find ourselves another chip, And

(02:15):
that's that are doing right now. Everybody with the fish
wraps and on New York sports talk radio deep into
the night, they're offering suggestions to Mr Cashman. Hey, I
think what you need to do is you need to
trade Joey Gallo and get Shohyotani. I'll hang up and
listen off the air. Yeah, that's the trade, I said. Yeah,

(02:35):
I used to love that when people would would and
you know, when people would do phone calls on the
radio all the time back in like the nineties earlier.
We could bring it back then. There's still some people
who love to do those. Is when like they would
throw out a topic and then just open up the
line to phone calls and let listeners do the show
for them. And uh, it would variably, it would be
listeners when it was like near the trade deadline. They

(02:56):
would always say the most ridiculous trades like that, Hey,
what are you think at the Yankees traded Joey Gallo
and they got sho heyo Tani and Mike Trout, Like,
would you do that? If you were Brian Cashman, would
you make that trade? I'll hang up and listen, like
the most ridiculous trades possible you can, Hey, would you
do that trade? Okay, this is the Yes, you're steeped
in reality. This is awesome. Oh no, I love it.

(03:18):
Let's let's light it up. That's roll window man. How
about a FRESC You have advice for Brian Cash. How
to solve the recent Yankee woes. You let us know
you need to trade, uh, Joey Gallo and get Juan Soto. Okay,
outfielder for outfielder. Right, you're not. They're not paying him out.
It's a straight up trade. Let's do it. Uh. Well,

(03:38):
but but the important stuff from the uh from the
radio Hall of Fame though, as Susan Waldman is going in, Yes,
Susan Walman going talking Yankees. A little bit of Hall
of Famer Susan Waldman, Hall of Famer, Susan Walden. Beautiful thing.
We could talk about how complicated other banks make it

(03:59):
to redeem credit card rewards, or we could talk about
how we discover you can redeem your rewards for cash
in any amount at any time. I mean, talk about amazing.
And we'll have more in the mets coming up. I'll
learn more at discovered dot com slash redeem rewards terms
they do apply. Today is another day of all of
us to get to celebrate as it's another day of

(04:19):
NFL teams reporting to training camp. By the end of
this week, all the teams love reported, while by Saturday,
thirty one of the thirty two teams will have reported.
Uh Kyler Murray not reporting because he feels like he's
good enough already. Just said sorry too soon for Alan,
Sorry too soon. But I can already tell you how
the big quarterback derby of the summer is going to go.

(04:42):
It was earlier, No, okay, the other big quarterback derby earlier. Today.
Sam Donald and Baker Mayfield met the media and talked
about what their impending quarterback battle is going to be like.
And Sam Donald said, hey man, me and Baker, everything
is okay. And Baker cool. You know, I'm sure competing

(05:02):
and you know, when things start rolling in training camp,
you know it's just gonna be fun. You know, it's
gonna We're gonna be able to compete and have fun
with it. But at the end of the day, you know,
this is a business, and um, we both take our
craft and what we do very seriously, so it's gonna
be very serious when that time comes to compete. But
off the field and all that stuff, and Baker are
really cool. Hey man, this is really cool. Hey Baker,

(05:23):
remember when you were the number one pick and I
was the number three pick, and now we're on the
same team. That was that was cool. We were both
franchise guys. Man, that was just four years ago. Man,
that was cool. Now here we are, we're keeping the
seat warm from Matt Corral. This is this is gonna
be awesome. Man, it's gonna be exciting. Well, that would
be the most interesting thing to happen if suddenly Matt

(05:45):
Kraal just emerged left both these guys in the dust.
How crazy would that be? But I love the verbage.
I love the spirit of competition. I always love the
use of a term like the craft, because you know,
when I really want someone's asking about how we do
a show and put a show together. If I really

(06:07):
want to be an ass, the craft and and terms
like that are the way I really roll my eyes
without rolling my eyes. The craft and art of putting
together a good radio show dot dot dot as you
take a long sip of whatever it is you're drinking now,

(06:28):
the craft, I can't I can't wait to watch this.
I think it's gonna be fun. Matt rule, you know
as a guy that we we all are led to
believe if you look at the odds in Vegas and
and all, he's on a very short run here before
temper taps taps them out, uh and goes in another direction.
So you've got a lot of pressure from that respect,

(06:51):
and you've got two guys with great expectations. Uh. Donald
got to do the reset last year. Okay, that's fine.
But now guy that was the number one in your
draft class comes in, who we know has always maintained
the chip on his shoulder. So the competition will get heated.

(07:12):
If I was able to take training camp tours, I
just plant my happy ass on the sideline there and
watch that for a few days. Yeah, lookin, that's gonna
be fun. Look, they could both stake and Jake Delone
comes out of the radio booth saying, alright, alright, I'll
do it. I'll do it. Legend of Dolon. Look, but
he has to bring back eight nine Smith otherwise it
doesn't work. John Casey's gonna come back and kick it.

(07:34):
It's all gonna work. Look, I'll tell you exactly how
this is gonna go. Alright, because I I am steeped
in reality here. For everybody on the all, this job
has already done. The competition is already done. In Baker
Mayfield's the guy. This is how it's going to go.
It will be Sam Donald to start the season alright,
just think of it. Yes, they traded for Baker Mayfield,

(07:56):
but Sam Donald has a huge head start over Mayfield.
I've said this, He's been in the system, he knows
the players, he's familiar with the scheme. He has a
huge leg up on Baker Mayfield. Right. Mayfield's gotta come in.
He's got to learn the playbook, he's got to learn
the players. It's going to take time. If this was

(08:16):
a preseason in which you really did get to see
a duel between quarterbacks, well then I can say maybe
they'll settle it on the field. But you have to
be really, really awful to lose a job in preseason
if it's a legit competition between one and two, because
your starters barely play, your quarterbacks will barely play. They're

(08:37):
not gonna play Donald a ton, They're not gonna play
Baker Mayfield a ton in games and and risk one
of them getting hurt. So it's gonna be near impossible
for Sam Donald to lose the job in the preseason.
If he does, they may as well just cut him.
Because at this day and age, if you're the starting
quarterback going into the preseason and it's not a fixed
competition where it's we have a bridge guy and then

(08:59):
slowly as the rookie looks like he's gaining experience, he's
gonna wind up starting. If it's a legit competition, you
go win as a starter. You have to really suck
to lose. And if he loses this job in the preseason,
Donald should just retire because it's virtually impossible for him
to do so. But that being said, they didn't get
Baker Mayfield to sit him on the bench behind Sam Donald.

(09:19):
So Donald will get the ball to start, and then
the minute Sam Donald falters, if he has two bad
games in a row, or he has a game where
the Panthers start out awful and Mayfield comes in and
he rescues the team, or it's the second straight game
that the Panther's offense doesn't play well and the second
half of a blowout loss, Mayfield moves the team. Baker

(09:41):
Mayfield will wind up being the quarterback. Sam Donald would
have to be nearly perfect over the course of the
first few weeks to keep this job, and as we know,
that's not Sam Donald. Donald's not that guy. He's not good,
and that's why they brought in Baker Mayfields. Why they
brought in Cam Newton last year. That's why a doloma
out of the booth. Uh. So that's how it's gonna go.
Arnold will start the season and then very quickly you

(10:02):
will see the change to Baker Mayfield sometime in the
first month. Barring a miracle and Sam Donald playing extremely well,
the Panthers winning all their games. They didn't get Baker
Mayfield to send him, but to win the job is
going to be really impossible for him in the preseason well,
and and that's the thing is that you have the energy,
the optimism if you were to say struggle out of

(10:23):
the gate with Donald, and it's very easy to say, hey,
Baker needed a little more time. We wanted to make
sure he'd fully uh embraced and absorbed all of the
playbook and established the report with these players. That took
the extra couple of weeks. And now we we try
to find lightning in a bottle with him after some
early struggles and like the return of Christian McCaffrey might

(10:46):
open up the offense for Donald and company. I don't
know they drafted an offensive lineman. They actually addressed the
largest area of need. Now, they didn't bring along four
other guys with him, so there's still some doubt that
they're gonna be able that be dominant up front. But
you at least have all of your weapons back to

(11:06):
to at least make uh the an honest effort of it.
I mean, no, no disrespect to Cuba Hubbard because I
think he was playing behind a bad old line and
showed some versatility, but he's not McCaffrey at his best
and nowhere close. So you know, McCaffrey coming back may
help jump start thing, maybe gives Sam Donald a little

(11:27):
bit of life. Uh and and maybe there there's a
little bit of a decision to start that way, because
you can always always then sell. All right, this is
why we brought Baker, and we're gonna get that shot
in the arm, and we're gonna be able to take
off from here and maybe safe Matt Rule's job. Oh
look at you, Look at you. Hey, he's got to

(11:49):
have an ace up to sleeve. Man Twitter, and how
about a fresca Mike gets swollen down the Jason Smith
Show with my best friend Mike comment, I'm telling you
I can see it. That's exact. Actually, how it's gonna
go Donald and then we'll get to Mayfield. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. Hey,

(12:12):
what's up everybody? It's me three time pro bowler Lavarrington
and I couldn't be more excited to announce a new
podcast called Up on Game? What is Up on Game?
You asked, along with my fellow pro bowler t J.
Hudshman's OTTA and Super Bowl champion. That's right, Plexico Birds.
You can only name a show with that type of
talent on it. Up on Game We're going to be

(12:35):
sharing our real life experiences loaded with teachable moments. Listen
to Up on Game with Me, LaVar Arrington, t J.
Hushman's OTTA, and Plexico Birds on the I Heart Radio app,
Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast from. Then,
a long time MLB network insider, Fox Sports Radio insider,

(12:57):
he's on Twitter at John Morose. It is John palm
ROSSI JP. Welcome inside, my friend. Well Jason, good evening,
my friend. And to your question, perhaps if this were
a different decade, maybe George Steinbrenner, he might have gone
out and acquired both of them before the game begins tomorrow.
But I do think a measure of perspective is needed here. Uh,

(13:21):
the World Series will not be decided for three more months.
The Yankees still have the best record in the American League,
and while they have some deficiencies, I don't think I
certainly don't think that they're going to get Otani. I
don't think anybody besides the Angels will. But I suspect

(13:41):
on Soto they are just as interested now perhaps a
little bit more interested because of the Stanton injury. Maybe
they want to really fortify their outfield. So I think
they're involved on Soto despite or even with the result
of tonight's came there against the Mets. Now you mentioned
with Otani and the Angels, because I mean, it's fun theater,

(14:05):
I say, just based on the cash flow, Uh, the
Angels should never ponder it because you can have fourteen
theme nights about him for him every every year JP.
But realistically, should they That's that's the That's the right question, Mike,
I think, to be honest, because I do believe that.
First of all, to your point, because of how much

(14:27):
Otani means their bottom line, they're not going to trade him,
at least not in the next week. Maybe they revisited
during the off season, but I just I do not
see that happening in the next several days. But to
your point, should they The answer is yes, they should,
because look at their team right now. They are spending

(14:50):
a lot of money on Trout and Rendown to the
extent that extending Otani will be difficult. Also, we have
to could this and say, given the Angel's inability to
make the playoffs, is this even where Otani wants to
sign for the long term? And so it appears to

(15:12):
me that the Angel's efforts to sign Otani have been
no more productive than what the Nationals have tried to
do with Soto. And let's be honest, the Angels have
one fewer year of control on Otani than the Nationals
do on Soto, and they actually look to be about
the same distance away from being legitimate playoff team. So,

(15:35):
if you're going to talk about managing your roster and
in retooling in a way that maybe allows Mike Trout
to finally make the postseason again for the first time since, yes,
you should trade Otani. But the Angels won't because this
is at its core business, and I think Otani remains

(15:57):
too essential to the business of the Angels to make
that move. Okay, so let's do this then, JP. If
I said to you, when the trade deadline hits, take
out your crystal ball. The two biggest names who will
be dealt are going to be who. The two biggest
names will be who. I do believe Soto is going

(16:17):
to get traded that I think Juan Soto will have
a new team by the time we have our conversation
post trade deadline a week from tonight. I really believe that.
I think the Padres are involved, the Yankees are involved,
the Cardinals are involved. I think all three of those
teams have credible farm systems and enough reason to make

(16:40):
this move. So I do believe that Soto was going
to be moved. In terms of the next other major names,
I think it's it's certainly not anybody else on Soto's level,
but I would expect Janie Martinez to be out there
and potentially moved. And if you're gonna sit on j D,

(17:00):
why not listen on boguards. I think it's a little
bit of a tougher task for the Red Sox to
listen on boguards. But I do believe j d Is
is someone that as a as a perennial All Star
for a long time, could be moved. Luis Castile in Cincinnati,
I think he will be moved. And Wilson Contreras, of course,
a former World through champ in Chicago, He's going to

(17:24):
get moved too. So even without Otani, there's gonna be
plenty of fireworks in the next month. Yeah, he said
all his goodbyes today. It was a very touching scene
at Wrigley Field. Winners of six straight JP all of
a sudden, those surging Cubs. But well, let's talk about
one of the feel good stories of this Major League
Baseball season coming into tonight, the Baltimore Orioles. Can they

(17:47):
make a move that helps them if nothing else to
just say we can finish second in the a L East, Right, No, listen,
I think that if I'm if I'm the Orioles. I
saw report tonight that, for example, Terek Scoople of the
Tigers is available. Now. He has struggled a bit in
the last six weeks relative to what he's done in

(18:09):
the past, But there's the kind of picture that the
Orioles should look at Luis Castile in Cincinnati. You know,
this is a team in the Orioles that they they
have a shot to make the playoffs now, and they
should have a better chance even than they do now
next year. And Castillo is under contract for next year.

(18:32):
I mean this is this is now. They are beyond
the talent acquisition phase of this rebuild. They need to
put up some competitive teams and obviously trying to win
back some fans, get him back at the ballpark, and
to do that I do think as a show of
good faith to a fan base that has waited patiently

(18:55):
for years to have a team like this again. I
really don't think that they can take this team apart.
It's just it's not It's not the right thing to do,
not by your fans and and really not by your
roster either. So for me, I I think the Orioles
should look at the same class of pictures that we're

(19:16):
talking about, but more of the controllable ones. They should
not go out there and get a Jose keen Ton
from the from the Pirates. That's not what they need.
They need an under control If one of the Marlin
starters is available, like a Pablo Lopez. That's the kind
of guy that the Orioles should be all over. And
I suspect Michael Llias is a very creative leader of

(19:37):
a franchise there in Baltimore. I think he will be
pursuing those options to make the team stronger in the
long term. Now, I do want to say this, John Paul,
because now you when you come on with us every week,
we have incredible conversation, and you know you hear me
on the Mets and how great they are. But you
know how great the Mets are. I want to say this.
Every year you have talked about this is going to
be the year for the Seattle Mariners. Well, when just

(20:00):
when we went away from a little bit, you said,
watch them this year, they won seventy five games in
a row to get back into the playoff fund and
here they are near the top. I mean, they're still
twelve games out because but they're back in the playoff
on and you were on them again beginning of this year.
So I want to give you a lot of credit
for that because they have been absolutely red hot, and
here they are suddenly doing a reverse Los Angeles Angels

(20:23):
and they're starting out so badly. Now look how good
they are. You're the greatest man. I love you, Jason,
thank you for thank you for reminding us of that
prediction now as opposed to the many years in which
I have predicted them to make the playoffs and I've
been wrong. So we will strike that part from the
record and just go with this. Barrossi has said the

(20:46):
Mariners are going to make the playoffs, and they are
on pace to do it, period, full stop. That is
all correct. I'm feeling good about it. They Julio Rodriguez
fortunately back in the lineup tonight, Homard, So that's a
really welcome sign for the Mariners after the Risks scare
following the home run derby. But for me, it's it's

(21:09):
just as important they have that this young pitching that
is the backbone of their team. So for me, the
Logan Gilbert's and the George Kirby's and the Andreas Munio's
that they've got, I believe enough pitching to sustain them.
And remember, when you're competing for the wild Card. They're
not worried about the Astros necessarily, They're worried about the

(21:31):
aforementioned Orioles, the Red Sox, who might wind up being sellers. Uh,
you know, the Blue Jays are good but inconsistent, and
then whoever is in second place in the American League Central,
So they're in a really good position. They just have
to keep winning series from now till the end of
the season. And if they if they do that, my friends,
then my prediction for the first time will actually be

(21:55):
proven true and the Miners will be going to the playoffs.
That's good because I jump down your back with that prediction. JP.
So let's go. Let you know Rodriguez love all the
way through. Now you mentioned San Diego and the Yankees
and the Cardinals in the Juan Soto sweep steaks, uh
Soto or anybody else. So the Dodgers just gonna wait

(22:17):
for guys to come back and say, hey, this is
our squad when we're healthy, or do they go bring
some other pugilists into the ring as well. I think
the Dodgers, first of all, there they have probably the
best farm system in the game, and so when you
have that the championship expectations, you can be aggressive. And

(22:38):
I actually think that for them, Soto is a really
good option with respect to how their team balances out.
I mean, obviously it's a great option for anybody, but
if you're just looking at it from the standpoint of
the payroll and fitting it all under the CBT threshold
for the competitive balance tax, Soto's money would very neatly

(23:01):
replace what you're already paying to Cody Bellinger, and he
could also effectively replace Bellinger in the outfield alignment, if
not necessarily positionally, at least in terms of his spot
in the lineup. So for me, I think the Dodgers
will be aggressive on Soto. They should. And then I
was also told in the last couple of weeks they

(23:22):
were checking with the red Zon Castillo. I mean, this
is a team, and the Dodgers they are they are
a model organization from a standpoint of the strength of
their farm system, their ability to spend on free agents,
and for the most part they make very very discerning
decisions when it comes to the free agents and the

(23:42):
trademark and who they want to commit too long term.
So I think for Soto there, I don't think there
asked to be a an extension that makes the deal
of reality, but it's certainly uh the Dodgers have the
resources to sign them long term. Whenever that day arrives.
He's on Twitter at John Morrossy. That is at John

(24:03):
Rossy MLB Network, Fox Sports Radio Insider. JP has always
appreciate your time, my friend, enjoyed the rest of the week.
We'll talk to you for our special post trade deadline
conversation next week. I cannot wait. I I hope that
my my voice holds out for the next week of
of lots of trade conversations and making sure that I'm
that I'm in a good spot there a week from now.

(24:24):
But if not, you always have the option of running
Jim Harbaugh's sound in full from today's Big ten media day.
We could do that, we could, or we can wait
until the Mets ghett o Tanni and Soto and then
call you in the middle of the night. Well, well,
I love our conversations and so I don't want to
hinge the next one on that I'm about call me

(24:45):
next week anyway, because we're friends that we like to talk,
all right, all right, Why why don't we that that works?
But though, if if the Mets did make a say
a two am your time trade for and so too,
I mean that's that's worthwhile, right, I mean, I am
a pretty heavy sleeper. My wife might be the one
who wakes up, in which case you get you have
to deal with her, and and and and you know,

(25:06):
be woke up the middle of the night. But as
long as you can get past her, we're we're in
good change. I mean, look, we're not gonna call you
for Josh Bell, but like Otani and soda that would
be with you. That that's worth the thing. I have
no doubt your wife breaking down. By the way, having
a nice year for the National JP is always funny.
Thank you so much. Enjoy the rest of the week.
Feel better. We'll talk to you soon. All right, sounds great, guys,

(25:27):
appreciate all about Thank you everybody. Great stuff there from
John Paul MOROSSI. Be sure to catch live editions of
The Jason Smith Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten
pm Eastern seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and
the I Heart Radio app Fox Sports Radio. That Jason
Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harm. I'm an
ask man with prices sore and at the pump Discovers

(25:50):

when you have debate learn more at discover dot com.
Slash rewards limitations they do apply. So, as we got
set for Game six of the NBA final S tomorrow,
and I think so Mark Medina stopped by breaking it
down with us. One team made a big trade tonight

(26:14):
that is an absolute win from every different direction, as
the Mavericks acquired Christian Wood from the Rockets in exchange
for the number twenty six pick in the draft and
four players with expiring contracts. Now Boban is on the
move again. It's that one s He's become one of

(26:35):
the greatest pitchman stars. He's gonna get to the big man.
He's gonna get to Houston. Ryan Hollis is gonna put
a book in his mouth and hit him over the
head with it repeatedly and then slips hit down in
the light, right, being a pretty good move. Uh. Boban, Marcus,
Chris Trey Burke, Sterling Brown all traded to Houston again,
four guys with expiring contracts, And here are the Mavericks

(26:57):
who had a crying need for more offense. Had a
crying need upfront because you know, Porzingis didn't work out,
so they make a move, and so he's not the
Latvian Dirk, he's more the Latvia. He's not the Latvian Dirk.
He's now he's the Washington. This is such a win

(27:23):
for the Mavericks because you trade four guys expiring contracts. Now,
I could even say that maybe they gave up too
many expiring contracts because the Rockets want to move on.
They're probably gonna get Boncaro with the number three overall pick.
They want to open up playing time upfront, which is
why they had room to dump Christian Wood. Uh So
you could even I could say for a second, maybe
they gave up way too many expiring deals. But they

(27:45):
went out and got a really good player like Christian Wood.
Is is a nineteen and ten guy the last couple
of years, and this is a big thing to shore
up that front court. Doesn't mean they're not going to
go resign Jalen Brunson, because you know, Wood's got one
more year and fifteen million dollars left on his deal.
This is ultimately palatable from Mark Cuban and for a
Mavericks team that was this close, despite the fact they

(28:07):
were playing with one guy. I told you this is
a bad roster, right. The Mavericks did not have a
good roster. They have an incredibly talented player in Luca,
they did not really have anything else around it, right.
Some of the guys you're counting on din Witty really?
You know Brunson, Yes he's a little bit overrated, but
still he's a guy that's on the rise. You're gonna
bring him back what you want to keep him. So
it looks like he's staying put. This is such a

(28:28):
huge win of a trade for the Mavericks. This is
gonna vault them to the top of the West. The
conference of who's gonna be the the trendy team to
pick to win the finals next year, It's gonna be
the Maverick. I was trying to find a number two
that was consistent, right, because when healthy Hardaway Junior can
put up points. Okay, for the year, he's of fourteen
a game. Guy Dinwoody had his moments as well, but again,

(28:51):
consistency and the ability on occasion to have a monster game. Right,
if Luca is having an off shooting night or has
to miss a game, trying to find something to to
push it forward. Now with Brunson, I would disagree with you.
I think in terms of his rating or whatever you
want to say, Q rating, where people look at him

(29:12):
as a player. There there was Brunson, regular season guy,
and then he had a couple of big playoff games
and all of a sudden, right it elevated him quickly.
It's like, no, he's a good player. Let's let's just
make sure we recognize still on the come though. But
those couple of big, you know, breakout performances are are
not an indication of what he has been. Might might

(29:35):
you see more consistency of that in the future, Sure,
but he's not there yet. And from a contract perspective, look,
Mark Cuban wants to win, right He wants to win
about as much as any other guy. So we were
talking with Mark Medina about what the Warriors are willing
to do financially. I mean, Cuban's a guy that's right
there with it, right that. Wait, if if I could

(29:57):
push this thing forward and now you bring in a
legitimate nineteen and ten guy, uh that that gets after
it every night. Yeah, this is this is a huge win.
And none of those guys were anything more than end
of the bench a minute, here, minute, they're kind of
guy right there. They're not impact players in any way,
shape or form, because normally we see the five for one.

(30:17):
It's like your fans, I think, if it is your
fantasy team, something we talked about all the time. But
there's a five for one deal. It's the all right,
I'm already going into a rookie draft or I've got
something else going on that I'm gonna fill roster slots elsewhere.
And that's that's what this feels like here. Uh So,
now can I give you my Berman announce You've been twitchy,

(30:38):
you know, you know that thing you where your legs
starts shaking, like when you really need to go to
the bathroom when I really want You've been You've been
very anxious ever since we talked to Monter. I really
want to get I'm not saying it's great, We're gonna
have to all. You know, assess this guy got anything

(30:58):
with Miles Finch. No, Miles Finch. My Yeah, we're watching
Miles Finch on X Men. He's got he's been in
a lot of franchise. Yeah, we got Days of Future
Past and Live Free or Die Hard and Police Academy
on our TVs right now, it's all sports related, diving
and rolling and jumping. This this live for your die hard.

(31:18):
I became a huge Maggie Q fan. I'm like, whoa,
I like Maggie Q. I was like, Wow, she's gotta
I want to see every movie she's done. She's the
one that went I need I need you. That's Stacy Q.
And she related to Cura Stacey Q and I think
they are and actually Q from the James Bond movies,
they're all related. What about Que from Impractical Jokers? Yes,

(31:42):
he's related to them as well. And they all start
in Q, the movie from four. If you remember that, boy,
I'm taking you all the way back down to Rabbit,
all the way back. Let me guess, Jason. They live
on Avenue Que. Yes they do. Now, that is one
hell of a off Broadway. When it was first starting,
a sign it was designed, it was advertised as the

(32:03):
Muppets on crack uh. So here we go, you're ready,
Here's here's guy okay, here's my heart getting the voice
ready and t J with the Mavericks getting Christian Wood
for four players, including Sterling Brown. Dallas is telling the
NBA world that as far as their roster goes, this

(32:25):
is us for next season. No, you did not go
to Brown. Wow. One of the great actors of our time,
A man who seems to be everywhere right now. Ya
how he's so have you seen him in Maze yet?
I finished Maze? Oh he's so good and so good.
He's so good in Reggie He's he's somebody that you

(32:48):
really like and you really hate at the same time.
He's such as talking about by Wall of Fame, This
is us for next season. Something I've ever seen a
minute of Bill. You know why because everybody says the
same thing. Oh, you'll cry every week watching This is Us?
Then why the hell would I want to watch that show?

(33:08):
There's a sadness on tell about. I want to watch
something that's goodn't lie to. The Mets are good this year,
though the Jets okay, the Jets are tough, but that's
but everybody says the Jets are gonna be really good. Yeah, well,
one after another. You want to talk about offseason of hype?
Yeah good, we we we we might be good. And

(33:28):
the second and I'm not gonna I don't cry every
Jets game we win three or four games a year.
Every episode of This is Us. You cry at but
you know what, everybody hurts sometime. This is our roster.
This is Us for next, Twitter and out about a Fresca.
Mike gets swollen down The Jason Smith Show with my

(33:51):
best friend Mike Harmon coming up next. Why it's hard
to find a lot of sympathy for the people involved
in the biggest controversy in sports last few days. It's
next right here. This is Fox or sassa McDonald's
