With less than a week to go until the upcoming Paris Olympics, France has recalled a line of branded water bottles for children.

The bottles were found to contain excessive levels of Bisphenol A, according to new reports.

UK correspondent Gavin Grey says these chemicals have been linked to breast cancer and infertility.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kevin Gray are UK correspondents with US now, Hi, Gevin,
Hi there, Joe Biden so much more interesting than the
politics you guys just said.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yeah, a little bit that way, isn't it. And reaction
here coming really from the current Prime Minister and the
former Prime minister, with Sakir Starman, the current Prime Minister
saying he did it in the best interest to the
American people and basically that he was looking forward to
working with Biden for the remainder of his presidency, saying

(00:31):
what a remarkable career he'd had. The former Prime Minister
Rishie Sunak praising Joe Biden for the love of America
dedication to service. He said, working with him my soul
first fund his love for America and our partnership has
led to significant achievements, including Orcus, the combination with of
course the US and Australia over defense and the steadfast

(00:51):
support for Israel and the defense of the people from
the HOUTIF threats. Interesting. Ukrainian President Vladim Zelenski said Ukraine
grateful for his unwavering support and then said we'll always
thank you for his leadership. The current situation in Ukraine
and all of Europe is no less challenging. Of course,
they're very concerned Donald Trump will cut off the funding.

(01:13):
And I also should mention actually the Reform UK leadon
Nigel Farah is a huge supporter of Donald Trump, just
saying I predicted this would happen in September last year.
Whoever they picked Trump will win in November.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Hey, what was wrong with those water bottles?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
A very interesting story this so just of course the
paras Olympic. Starting on Friday, they've had some memorabilia and
souvenirs as it were already out on sale, and among
them has been some water bottles for children. These are
water bottles that you can reuse and they're branded with
the Olympic rings and the flame. But they've been on

(01:53):
sale since August of last year right through to June
of this year, and it's now been found they've been
withdrawn from sale because of excessive levels of a chemical
called this fennel a now that's been linked potential health
issues including breast cancer and infertility. So despite the fact
that these have been on sale all this time, they've
now had a mass recall to get them back in

(02:16):
slightly embarrassing with the Olympics just at the end of
this week.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
That doesn't sound good at all. Hey, would you pay
two hundred and fifty thousand euro for a seat to
watch football?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
No? I don't think i'd pay very much at all
really to watch football. This is an amazing new figure
that's come out of the refurbishment of Real Madrid Stadium
in Spain, Santiago Bernabau. They're saying, look, it's more than
just a stadium, it's an architectural statement piece. But within
all the new gizmos and all the rest, there are

(02:49):
three hundred soup of the IP seats and believe it
or not, these have access to as you can imagine,
exclusive food, drinks, great view of the pitch, unique experiences
such as live shows, mingle with influential people before a
match and afterwards, all the rest of it. And the
figure is because the one off payment just to get

(03:12):
into this super Vike VIP club comes in at just
a little under half a million New Zealand dollars, probably
making it the most expensive sporting seats ever. Because Heather,
that is just entry to the club. It does not
buy you the annual ticket you alten need to purchase
for the seat, there's nuts.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I mean, that's obviously just aimed at VVVVI ips Gevin,
which it's just a putty you and I haven't been
included because obviously it should be. Thank you very much
to talk to you in a couple of days, look
at yourself. Kevin Gray, UK correspondent.

Speaker 2 (03:45):

to news talks.
