Speaker 1 (00:00):
In the brady Are UK correspondence with us now into.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, good to speak to you again. Listen.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Fair to say that the overwhelming feeling that you get
from watching Kate's video is just like deep sadness.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Do you know what I felt? Actually relief initially, you know,
the first viewing of it, because yeah, just the fact
that you know, she's telling the world she's cancer free.
Let's be frank here, this could have had a very
very different ending, as it does for many men and women.
So I think the overwhelming emotions, first of all were
relief that it was good news. But I thought it

(00:35):
was a beautiful family video, and I think what we're
seeing is the future of the House of windsor you know,
if this is how they're going to communicate going forward,
A lot of thought has gone into that. I thought
it was very professionally put together, really really uplifting, and
you know, it was a bit kind of melancholic summer
coming to an end here as we head into autumn

(00:55):
and winter. But then I thought it was beautiful and
much needed.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
It was beautiful, But I I sti't get the impression
that she is not as well as perhaps people would
like to believe, because she said there's a long journey
ahead of her and she needs to try to stay
cancer free.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yes, and I think that's the big fear. Look for
anyone who has had cancer in the family will tell
you that the big fear is it coming back. So
there was no triumphalism, there was no being of the
chest and saying I've beaten this and look at me,
you know. And I thought it was very humble and
kind and very Christian at the end where she said,
you know, anyone else going through cancer, I stand beside you.

(01:32):
So I think very powerful moving message from a woman
who will be Queen of this country and the Commonwealth eventually.
And I thought it was beautiful. And I'm in no
way a royalist or a monarchist, but good luck to
her because so many other girls don't have this outcome.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
And how nice is it to see them raising their
kids just like a normal family.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah, precisely, you know, enjoying the sunshine, the haybales, going
out on the beach in Norfolk and just having a
laugh and the kids messing around with the camera.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
My only if I was to say, if I'd wanted
one more little thing from the video would have been
a bit more of Louis. He's everyone's favorite royal and
I'd love to see him get hold of a camcorder
for a day and go off by himself. I'd watch
I'd pay good money to watch that.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, he's a bit of a star, isn't he. Hey,
I see that there is an increasing number of people
who are calling into question whether Lucy Lipby actually did
this or not. What do you think? So?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Look, she had the longest criminal trial in English legal
history and she was found guilty at the end of it,
guilty of murdering seven babies the attempted murder of seven
other babies. She is serving fifteen whole life sentences. A
whole life sentence in the UK means that you will
die in prison. Quite frankly, you will never see the
light of day again, and she's serving fifteen of them now.

(02:52):
Lots of unqualified people on social media have been banging
this drum since the conviction, saying that there was uns
safe evidence that they relied too heavily on the nursing rosters.
What the nursing rosters did was point the detectives in
the direction of one person there was one person on
shift when every single one of these poor little infants

(03:12):
who were newborn were either murdered or grievously harmed, and
that person was Lucy Leppie. So look, she's appointed a
new legal team. She's got rid of all her legal
team previously and new guys come in and he wants
the case to go to the Criminal Cases Review Commission,
who ultimately will say whether or not can go to
the Court of Appeal. She's already been turned down once

(03:35):
for an appeal, so I don't see any new evidence.
I don't see any other suspect. You know, Ultimately, she
had her trial, she was found guilty, she did the crime,
and in the minds of most right minded people in
the UK, she can bloody well serve the time.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Interesting and to thank you, I really appreciate Tim's always
talked to you. In a couple of days, it's into
Brady how UK correspondent.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
