Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oliver Peterson six pr per Live Brazienters with me. Now, Hey, Oli,
hello Heather. All right, so Ozzie's back in the US.
Pretty hard eht.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
They are now a fevit of silence over the weekend,
and there was some concern about what the Prime Minister
may or may not say is you just paid played
a clip there of Penny Wong who did the morning
rounds on television. The Prime Minister has now also addressed
the Australian media and he's called for dialogue and diplomacy.
He says, quote, the world's long agreed that Iran cannot
be allowed to get a nuclear weapon, and we support
(00:28):
action to prevent that.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
That is what this is.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
The US action was directed at specific sites central to
Iran's nuclear program. We don't want escalation of full scale war.
He's also urging Australians in the region to come home.
They have sent repatriation flights into the Middle East and
he is hoping now the United States, along with Iran
and obviously the rest of the world, can get around
the negotiations table and de escalate any sort of situation.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Any indication Australia got a heads up.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
I think we are iced out at the moment to
be blunt Heather, and there's obviously some big issues in
the world, Aralia seems to be on the sidelines. I
do wonder though, if this is also a little bit
of a test of our relationship with the US and
why I say, a test exactly when and how the
Australian government will respond to what the US has done.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
And maybe that was part of the delay in why.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
At the Alberanzi did not say anything until the middle
of today when many, particularly on the opposition, as we're
even calling for it over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
What's the prime minister? What does the government say here
in Australia.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Does Australia believe that the Iranians were trying to make
a nuke?
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I think we do?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
And when I say I think we do is because
that's basically what the Prime Minister has now said today
that perhaps now the Australian government has been briefed by
US intelligence sources as to why Anthony Alberanzi he's added
his voice to the chorus.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Maybe that's why.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
For forty eight hours he tried to say nothing until
he had some concrete evidence that that is what the
Iranian government were doing.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
But jeets tense times, isn't it?
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, totally is ac DC. You're going to go to
these gigs.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Yeah, I've already got my tickets. Heather are We had
Katie Perry here last night.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I know you're a big Katie.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Kat knew if you were in Perth because she's going
again to an idea.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Of course I went, Yeah, one of the beings hop
stars in the world and she's been the space. Oh
she's amazing. You know.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
The only thing, as I learned from Katie Perry last night, Heather,
holding you back or holding me back, is ourselves, Like
our dreams are there to be pursued.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
If you want to go to Broadway, Heather, you can.
You can go to Broadway if that's what you want
to do.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Katy Perry told me last night that it's only you
holding yourself back.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
She's so inspirational.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Are you taking the pass?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
I thought she was sensational, Like she's just encouraging a
whole generation of Australian to pursue the best in themselves,
to become the best person that they can be. To
just make sure you wake up in the morning full
of energy. And you just sing all those wonderful Katy
Perry tracks like I kissed a girl and I liked it.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
It would be a good time to be there. I'm
not gonna lie. I just and I probably would go
with my god a freebie, which is what I suspect
you got.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
No, I paid cold hard cash for that.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah, I took my wife. I haven't seen my wife
in about a week, all right, so I've got some
brownie points. I don't believe in.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
The Katy Perry stick.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Your wife.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
I've been busy. We had a big Rugby league game
over here last week. We got the Bears coming into
the NRLs, so we've had a few little bits and bobs.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
You's been going out and she's been staying home with you.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Correct one hundred percent, So you know I did the
right thing. Took my wife to Katy Perry and I
kissed a girl and I liked it.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yes, do you know what? I forgive you everything. It's
just so good. And she would have kissed you after that.
She was Okay, listen, tell me really quickly about what's
gone with the pop plant, because this is nuts, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
This is the story of the year.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
You know, forget about everything else. Imagine being so cheesed
off with your neighbor in an apartment complex that they
put pop plants in the common areas. You decided to
take them to court. And not just to court, you
took them to court for two years and spent thousands
and thousands of dollars to get them to order to
remove the pop plants from the common area just in
case you tripped over.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Okay, yeah, well you know that's that sounds like everything
in New Zealand with health and safety. So anyway, Oliver,
I'm at Peterson. I'm still thinking about just what happened
last night.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
So what the good news is?
Speaker 3 (04:08):
You've got seven and a half hours to get to
her next gig here in Perth.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
We've got direct flights Aucklands to Perth. So I know
you for Kate far away, but you could get there.
Come on, yep, just get here tonight. You'd love it.
She's great.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Okay, anyway, off you go, Thank you very much, really
appreciate it. Oliver Peterson doesn't actually need to be geed
up by KATIEA. He's just got so much enthusiasm as
it is for life.
