Paul Gallen: former Australian NRL star ahead of boxing match against Sonny Bill Williams

Paul Gallen is speaking out after things got heated between him and Sonny Bill Williams ahead of their high-profile match in Sydney.

The pre-fight press conference initially saw both fighters seemingly ready to skip the verbal jabs in exchange for the in-ring shots on Wednesday.

However, the latter stages saw Gallen accuse Williams of drug use - and for charging large sums for his community work. 

Gallen says he can't see himself breaking bread with Sonny Bill after the fight, but 'that's life'.

"There's no acting going on at all - we don't like each other."

Now the countdown is on to the big fight between
Sonny Bill Williams and Paul Gallon. It's this Wednesday. Things
already got heated during a press conference today in which
Sonny Bill accused Paul Gallant of being a drugs cheat,
and Paul Gallan hit back by calling Sonney Bell a scumbag.
Paul Gallon is with us from Sydney. Hello, how may
they ask?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Good, Hey, what's gonna happen with this fight?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Sorry? Made top arm man. I'm gonna win. I've been
trained hard, prepared well and got to get out there
on the night and I was trying to do and
if I do that, I'll win.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Do you do you guys really hate each other?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah? I understand. There's no uh, there's nothing made about this.
We don't like each other at all. And yeah, I
can't see even as will fight us ever breaking bread.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
So that's list because I interviewed Sunny Bill Williams a
couple or maybe a month ago now and he sort
of said it was serious, but then I didn't really
know whether to take him seriously or not. It's not
all an act.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
No, there's no no acting going on or that. We
don't like each other.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
What don't you like about him?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
We're going to sound like, well, he's done in the
past as far as you're walking down the bulldogs and
understand he's gone from his last I know he was
young man at the time, but then I think you
look at the preparation for his fight and what's having
this fight again. He's done what he wanted to do
by making a timming around. So rather than have a
bit of honor and respect for the sport, he just
does what suits him. So he hasn't changed at all
as a person.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
What about the drugs? He keeps going on, You've got
drugs in your system? What's that about?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
They have to ask him, But there's no drugs in
my system made I'm not quite happy to getdrug tests
at any stage.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Does it make you more fired up when you hear
him talk like that?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
No? Nothing, nothing, Nothing he says makes me fight up
or bothers me emotionally at all. This is there's a
business to me, and now I thought it is on
Wednday night. It's a business and I'm going to get
in there, do the job I'm trying to do and
get paid and go on, what.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Do you get paid for something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
That's my business, not yours.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
People want to know, though, don't they.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
No, No one's really asking you have the first person.
That's what we're getting paid? Really? Yeah? Sure? Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Are you getting getting paid the same?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Is it even stevens the percentage? But its even yet?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Okay, so you'll both be rich.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Who knows? If it sells well, we'll do aka okay.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
