And now investors in bonds, which are always considered to be safe and conservative, are all over the shop as well.
This year, the return from investing in a global government bond is down more than 8 percent on average so far and the return from investing in a global corporate bond is down more than 9 percent on average so far.
In some cases, it’s down more than equity investments.
It’s the worst quarterly return on record for bonds.
