Speaker 3 (03:04):
I'm great.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, I watched a lot this weekend. You and I
were texting about one of them. But yeah, yeah, our
team didn't play.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Feels like they're never gonna play.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
It kind of felt like the playoffs right where it's like, oh,
where's our football team?

Speaker 5 (03:19):
There were some good games, though, I mean it looked
like a slate of just crap yesterday, but then they.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Were new games were Yeah, I know.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
Well there was only one non noon game, wasn't there.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I mean, I guess there weren't any really good noon games. Wait.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
I thought there were some really really good, like like
every game was great, like.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
On paper, they like the Chargers Dolphins. You're like, what
but that turned out no?

Speaker 8 (03:41):
Great?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
That might be the end of it.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
For a lot of those guys. Yeah, and uh, the
Colts look great, but that they almost lost.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
I know.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
And uh, I mean it was just a fun games.
The Carolina comes back and suddenly they.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Beat the Cowboys. Yeah, it was some fun games. Ain't
you taking the survivor?

Speaker 6 (04:01):
I don't even have any clue the pack.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Mostly everybody took.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
They got the pack.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Yeah, I think that's right, Zacho, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
I think everybody survived other than the first two on Thursday. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
so I thought Marty was nuts by taking the Raiders
when they were playing Tennessee. But then I remembered how
horrible Tennessee is.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Did you see the ball slide out the back of
his hand?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Ye? What the fight in the Chiefs game at the
end of that game as could start?

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Yeah, you know, smack him around a little bit, teach
him whose boss can't win in the game, punch somebody.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Somebody stealing somebody's women.

Speaker 6 (04:40):
You got a big dumper on you.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Yeah, that's the guy from Seattle.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
They won to the big Dumper cal Rally. Yeah, he's
a baseball player.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Yes he is right. He's very good too. He might
be the MVP.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
You know what.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
They call him, the big Dumper. No, turns huge, turns huge,
pretty obvious to me.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Wait, doesn't the guy I don't want to name him,
but doesn't the guy in your band have that name?

Speaker 6 (05:04):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Drake may Slack Happy birthday? Wait your accountant's nephew.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
No, No, not Drake. Oh anything new? We should have
drafted him drakes lie. Yeah, I don't think so. Yeah,
anything new with you?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
My son now crawls and it's kind of over. He
moves all over the.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
Place we did start.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah, we had a baby proof a lot of the house.
So yeah, even more from what they've done for you. Yes, correct,
I don't fall a lot except outside, so we baby
proofed all that outside there's no one. But yeah, he
moves all over, which is great. It is because he
wants to get started and never stops you correct.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Yeah, it sounds like he's going to go back to
just kind of laying there.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
But you can't just like leave the room and the limbs.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
He is your son. Yeah, he'll lay around.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Yeah, yeah, I remember all the good old days when
you just leave the room for a few hours and
he'd stubby in the same spot.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
He came back.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
We'd go to the casino, remember, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
So yeah that's yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
After a while, they get old enough to call the cups.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Well that's why you're always worried about your garage door
being open.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Yeah, you don't want I don't have to.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
Leave, no, Yeah, it's speaking of leaves. Don't forget to
do the sponsor. You might as well do it now.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Oh, gut her helmet and gutter helmet MN dot com.
Never clean your gutters again. I'm telling you. The people
that don't have that don't realize how bad their gutters
are going to be.

Speaker 9 (06:33):
Yeah, they don't because they'll fill with leaves and I
want that that can cause all kinds of damage.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Gout her helmet mn dot com.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
You know what else?

Speaker 5 (06:39):
It is crazy to me, Like, I mean, obviously the
world is ending, but like, did you guys watch the
North Carolina of the houses on the outer banks just
kind of looked like they were Lincoln logs and the
water just comes in and wash them away. No, it's
just crazy, man, Like, like I think maybe, just maybe
I live in Rogers, I might be far enft in land.

(07:02):
I'm not sure. I'm not sure that. I don't think
the ocean can ever reach my house.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I don't unless if it got I mean, if it does,
it's over for everybody.

Speaker 6 (07:12):
I mean yeah, right right right, yeah, it's over. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
If yeah, the if the ocean comes within hundreds of
miles of the center of the continent, yeah we are.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, we're all screwed.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
It means the probably that that Yellowstone geyser thing went off.

Speaker 6 (07:31):
Yeah, the Yellowstone geyser thing.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yes, yeah, Old Faithful. That's why why GT Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Why did you choose? I think it's the new Ford.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Well, we talk about the yellow Stone geyser things so
much that we needed an acronym for.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
But isn't that the bit old? No, it's Old Faithful, right.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
No, it's it's definitely not. It's just a there's a
super volcano.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
It's a super volcano.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
I'm Old faiths was just a geyser of water, like
when you got the runs.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Yeah, happens right.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson missed the team's Week six game,
I mean against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, after suffering
an orbital eye fracture in a freak elastic band accident
during pregame warm ups.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Oh that has to hurt so bad.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
Yeah, I can't even imagine. I mean, I can't. I
can't believe he didn't lose an eyeball.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I bet.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
It's one of those things where if it was a
quarter of an inch to the left or right, he
would have lost an eyeball.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Oh yeah, I bet yeah, and then your career's over, right.

Speaker 6 (08:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
He was in the locker room quickly ruled out. Really,
he's only twenty three years old. It seems like he's
been in the league forever.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I think when you I think it, and maybe this
is just me, but I think the longer you don't.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Play and the more you break your eyeball.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah, the more you break your eyeball, I think, the
longer it feels like you've been in the league. Because
you're right, it does feel like he's been in the
league for ten years.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
And then Charvarius war his teammate, collide with the teammate.
How about that and knocked himself out their best corner. Yeah,
but then they still go out and win. What are
they five and wan or are like that?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Five and one?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:11):
How about he's outstanding?

Speaker 1 (09:13):
How about somebody pointed out and I'm just the messenger,
but how about somebody pointed out every quarterback option the
Vikings had is great, except for the one they currently
have Aaron Joe Aaron Rodgers is outstanding. They're four and one.

(09:34):
Daniel Jones is five and one. The Seahawks did they win?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (09:40):
They did?

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Yeah, they got to.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Be like they're right, Like, every option that they had
is great. What's the one they've got well he's hurt, right, well, yeah,
but like I don't know, I just thought, that's not
what you meant. Just testicles saying you're in the kid's
been good for one quarter. Okay, But I'm just saying,

(10:03):
like everybody thought. Aaron Rodgers is old that teams standing,
although the Browns are hideous. Dylan Gabriel, they're gonna have
to play Sanders soon. Dylan Gabriel is awful.

Speaker 6 (10:15):
Oh, the team's not good.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Yeah, yeah, the team isn't good.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
But yeah, I just think that it's weird that like
every option they were gonna pick is great.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
Good for Daniel Jones, good for Sam Dark. What about
Carson Wentz?

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yeah, he's fine, there's three and two, he's fine.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
What is your pa?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Get out of that chair? You know what?

Speaker 6 (10:31):
You stand up? Sit over there, don't sit there. No,
you don't need a button bar. There's no reason for you.
He's sitting right there. You could sew here. That's a
bad chair. Do you hear what he's doing, Zach?

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh? Yeah, he just ripped on.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
Carson Wentz and JJ McCarthy in the first segment and
we had a bye week.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
No wrong, I'm just saying I'm just saying.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
That got that chair is a devil chair?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Like this.

Speaker 10 (10:59):
Start to show like that, just do that. I'm just
I'm not ripping what we have. I'm just saying, is
my ear? Did I hear something wrong?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
But the options they were going to pick from are great.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
It also shows how good the head coach is.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
Finally they did something right.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
He's turned Daniel Jones' career around, and Sam Darnold's you.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Need to turn your attitude around.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
My attitude's fine.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
Man, doesn't sound like to you, Zach.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
We bring KOs into here for a little while.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
Can we bring some KFC in?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
God?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, how good are those spice? The chicken bowls are outstanding?
They still do those?

Speaker 2 (11:38):
You use the age?

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Oh yeah, what he says, herbs herbs, it's herbs her
It's fine.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
Say anyway you want. I just I was I was
taking aback for a moment.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
That could be wrong. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
I don't think there's right. I don't know. I think
there's a.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Well spelled H E R B S H is silent?
Is that what it is?

Speaker 6 (11:56):
I think?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
So?

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Hey, one more negative not a about our football team.
I was sure, did any of you get up and
watch the early morning game. No, are you out of
your damned bad? Are so bad?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
So bad?

Speaker 6 (12:14):
How bad are they?

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Well they're Owen six. Yeah, they're bad. Owen six, just hideous.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
That's enough football.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Hey did you go see the Tron movie that you
were talking about? Did you what the Tron movie?

Speaker 8 (12:30):
No?

Speaker 6 (12:30):
I did not. I did not watch the Neutron movie.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
The Jimmy Neutron movie.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no I did not. I did not.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I think it. I don't think it did well.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
I watched the John Candy movie. Oh my god, yeah
I know I watched that.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:45):
I played a gig. Oh yeah, how was that good?
I got stuff downe around the house. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
I talked to Mark Sanchez on the phone multiple times.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Really are you representing him?

Speaker 6 (12:59):
No?

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Oh, thank god, I just he gave the phone to
his representative.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
I just kept I kept calling him, ask him if
he wanted a foot race because I thought he was training.
I didn't know, like obviously, get out of his way.
Yeah you know what I mean. Can't park there, Yeah,
don't park there.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
I'm running winds.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Yeah, don't park their delivery guy, I'm running Whin's what
two a M.

Speaker 6 (13:24):
Yeah yeah, that's right. Yeah, that's right, buddy, that's right.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
How about how the guy in the uh, Evan McPherson
or whatever his name is, for the Cincinnati Bengals would
have made a sixty seven yard field goal.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
He's unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
Yeah, it's getting easier and easier. Yeah, they're gonna have
to change those balls again.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
I read something about that overseas. The balls are getting
to be too easy.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
But they're like.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yeah, they're like soaked in water or something. Yeah, makes
it like dirt or mud from like a certain like
bay and like New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Yeah, it's actually Cheddar Bay.

Speaker 6 (14:01):
It's called yeah, yeah, obey, Yeah, that's right. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
He looked at the Can you magine?

Speaker 6 (14:09):
And how about Chad Smith throw throwing some drums down
at halftime?

Speaker 3 (14:12):
About what's his connection to the you?

Speaker 6 (14:15):
He has a long lost cousin.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Okay, and that person's name.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Is John University of Minnesota, Happy birthday, yep, And they
named the entire school after him. Long lost cousin Wow,
born in sixteen forty two when the Gaels of November took.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Over, got great song and what song?

Speaker 6 (14:38):
And then went to Cornell.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
University, oh with Nikolay Tesla, Oh, invented something that he
liked to call the forefinger dance. Oh, and then moved
to Detroit and said this place needs an enema, jumped

(15:01):
in a sweet Chevy Vegas. Yeah that was tubbed out, wow,
and drove all the way to the University of Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
This is also Chad Smith would play drums.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
I don't know what he just said. This was also
Chad Smith would play drums.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
No, this was all. All of this happened so Chad Smith.
It led Chad Smith to playing drums.

Speaker 6 (15:27):
I mean, it's a butterfly effect. Have you not ever
listened to Corey?

Speaker 2 (15:30):
No? Not really.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
Yeah, the butterfly effect is one of the butterfly flaps
its wings. I get an erection.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Yeah, that's cool.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Is that because you know?

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Is that because you know a lot of ladies with
back butterfly tattoos.

Speaker 6 (15:43):
Well, there's that, and it makes me think of moths.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
So you're basically turned on by the same thing Buffalo
bills turned on by yep.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Oh, Jake Allen, Happy birthday. Who's that what's his name?

Speaker 6 (15:58):
Josh Allen's him Shake cousin who works at State Farm.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, I know that.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
No, that's the first segment.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Brought to you by my amazing friends at gut Her
Helmet and gut Her Helmet mn dot com. That's right,
never clean your gutters again. Those leaves, Yeah, screw them,
they're gonna all come falling down soon. We're real close,
hockey to the speed and then we're real close eighteen
days something. I'm gonna rewrite the whole thing. I'm scrapping it.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Well, it's good every year.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Well, I appreciate that. Maybe this will be the year
it's bad. Maybe this is a year I wake up
and say, ah, I was wrong.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
I hope not, because I enjoy it.

Speaker 6 (16:35):
Good, good, good, get Yeah, you're just beginning your process.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yeah, how about Yeah, we're in the we're in the
depths of trying to figure out what we're gonna dress
Louis up for Halloween. And I think we're gonna dress
him up as Boss Baby. Oh, because everybody says he
looks like Boss Baby. I've never seen the movie, but
I've heard it's I think Corey hated it, but he
hates everything.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
That's the one storry Michael Douglas.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
I know that's the game that's fatal attraction.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
Oh man, Yeah, well then I guess I have an
idea wife's costume.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
You'd be No, that's basic instinct, Glen Close from fatal.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
Attraction, and then you dress up as a clam.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Glenn Close from fatal attraction.

Speaker 6 (17:22):

Speaker 8 (17:49):
How about how about getting up this early? Our guy here,
he is mister Darryl Thompson. Ladies and gentlemen, you went
up so early.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
It was early when that on that alarm? FEI world.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Yeah, it's never any easier either, though. I just want
you to know I've been doing this since I was
about eighteen years old. I'm fifty four and and for
about ten minutes every day, I'm like, this.

Speaker 6 (18:14):
Is not worth it.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
He up all night though.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
Yeah that's a good part. Yeah that doesn't help at all. Yeah,
you're right about that. What are you doing up so early?

Speaker 4 (18:22):
Bud?

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Hey man, I just wanted to come in and see
what's going on with you guys, and I wanted to
learn a little bit more about this, uh this the line.
Oh yeah, after five years, he finally caught her. A
long time to figure what was going on. I still
don't know what's going on all the time. Yeah, I
heard it live.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
I was driving back from doing stand up in Spicer,
which is outstanding hockey. Have you played to show in Spicer? Yes,
Spicer's out great towns. Oh my god, I never knew
what is it? What's the lake there? Green Lake is Yeah,
we were on the Green which is on the lake outstanding.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Yeah, I heard it live. It was great. You guys
do a great job.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
You know.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
I don't blame you, though, DT because Grim says just
weird things.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
A lot of weird things, weird things during the breaks
everything else.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
But I'm just in conversation.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Yeah, when you're not talking to him on the rad
you know, it's like you're having dinner with him and
he's like, did you hear about Jaydeon Daniels and his
maroon Cadillac And you're like, what are you talking about? Yeah,
so it's hard to track what he's saying. I don't
blame it is, but.

Speaker 6 (19:20):
Hey, what a what a good.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Win, right, I mean, they snatching a victory from the
jaws of defeat on Saturday.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
We'll take that.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I absolutely have to take that. You know, it didn't
feel like we were going to get it, but he
figured out a way. And i mean Justin mentioned it,
you know a little bit like they're trying to hand
it to us. And they're a team that was maybe
a little bit like we were, you know, like seven, eight,
nine years ago, that figured out ways to lose, and
now we're figured out ways to win. So to figure
out a way to win that game and have a
homecoming victory is a big deal.

Speaker 8 (19:47):
Yeah, And they get the big play from the big player, right,
the guy that got all the preseason hype from ESCO
Minnesota Cooy Parachiet. He'd actually been having a pretty good year.
He just hasn't had the splash play like we saw
last year. He's amongst the leaders and tackles, which which
isn't always great if your safety is leading you in tackles.
He's the third leading tackler on the team, had a

(20:08):
big sack in the Rutgers game. But you know, basically
wins the game for him.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Yeah, you guys.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
You guys both mentioned it the game when the Gophers
got the game or the ball to start the third
and they went three and out, and then Purdue took
the ball and just walked down the field and then
both of you or one of you said, why didn't
they go for it on fourth and two? Like that
changes the whole thing? And as guards, he kept saying,
they're keeping us in this game.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
They handed it to them and they go.

Speaker 8 (20:33):
Now, sometimes you know, sometimes two teams will just fight
over who wants to lose more. Yeah, and the Gophers decided,
all right, if you're gonna hand it to us, we'll
do some stuff, and that you know, they they I mean,
the drive to tie the game was was a legit,
really good quarterback led dud. They end up throwing I
don't know, was it almost fifty passes because they cannot
get a running game going right now. And I'm sure

(20:55):
that's a concern to them, but I don't know. I
thought that drive was great to tie it. And then
seven seconds later Perrich you know, does what he does.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Well the drive to tide and also just the decision
to Purdue not to handle all democopy. Yeah, they couldn't
yet we can't stop the bubody's really stopping them, and
they're not giving an opportunity to run the ball.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
Yeah, isn't a weird one, Like the entire coaching staff
forgets what's working for him out of nowhere. So that
happens so often in football.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
And I'll I, you know, how in the heck would
I ever understand what it's like to be standing on
the sidelines having everything.

Speaker 6 (21:25):
In your pocket like that? But it does.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
It's like the running game is working so well and
then you know what, let's stop doing that.

Speaker 8 (21:31):
Yeah, and their quarterback was pretty good throwing the ball too.
But when you say they had what four hundred and
fifty or so, I don't have the exact number total yards,
Minnesota had like two sixty. They had eight more first downs.
They had five trips to the red zone in Minnesota
had two. Yeah, and you're throwing a pick six and
a couple of field goals and a missed field goal
by them, and they keep you in it and then

(21:53):
you make plays to win it. And I mean, Darryl
and I talked about it in the in the in
the wrap up after the game, I'm not trying to
suggest like this is a season saving win, but the
difference between three and three with a loss to Purdue
and four and two now looking ahead of Nebraska. If
you want to end up in a decent bowl game
or a better than decent bowl game, you just couldn't

(22:14):
lose that game.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
And so that part of it was nice.

Speaker 8 (22:17):
And as Daryl always says, even if you don't play well,
if you win, it's a nice deodorant.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah. Yeah, everything is nicer when you win, you know,
especially coming to this Nebraska team. Is they're serious.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (22:28):
I think it's a good football team coming in here.
They're six and a half point Fase. Yeah, and they're
ranked I think one of the two poles. They're twenty
fifth and one of the Poles, so they're five and one.
Their schedule has been a little dit I mean, they
haven't beaten their one real what you would call real
opponent got them at their place, Michigan.

Speaker 8 (22:44):
They played two nobody's. They did beat Cincinnati, who's all right.
I'm not trying to suggest this will be their biggest
test to this point, but it's at least their second
biggest test that's not Michigan They.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Opened with Cincinnati and won by three. They killed Acron
sixty eight nothing. They beat something called I would guess
Houston Christian. Yeah, I don't know, fifty nine to seven.
They lost to Michigan. Wow, they thrashed that guy. Then
they beat Michigan State. And then they beat Maryland, yes
her name three and they were down ten to Maryland.
They were down seven to Maryland. They actually blew the lead.

Speaker 8 (23:19):
They were up ten, then got down seven, and they
they were interesting with like I'm going to say, about
four minutes left, they were down seven and they were
in a similar spot. They kicked a field goal to
cut it to four. With like four maybe between four
and seven minutes, I can't remember. They stopped Maryland, get
the ball back, drive down, score a touchdown, and instead.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Of you know, and that wins it, it wins it
for him.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
So the field goal.

Speaker 8 (23:41):
At the time, people were second guessing, why wouldn't you
go for the tie there? But as it turned out,
they they played it. It turned out the result was
what they wanted.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Hey, DT, Yeah, what's the worst you've been around football
your whole life. What's the worst injury you've ever seen
in person? You don't even have to just just if
something comes to mind, because I didn't see the linebacker
for San Francisco. Yeah, I didn't see him break and
dislocate his ankle, but that had.

Speaker 9 (24:08):
To be terrible, yeaous I can't even imagine. Had to
be in the wrong direction right, put him in an
air cast immediately. Yeah, I didn't see that. I knew
he got injured, but I didn't see the I didn't
see that.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
I've seen a lot of like those on TV, like
you know, thives Man and that type of yes incidents,
but the one I saw that was in person was
a teammate that got bent over backwards and and really
like you kind of just tore up his back. It
was a terrible oh no kidding, it was like this
is what the Packers. Wow, Brian Noble got bent back

(24:40):
just completely the wrong direction and they had to take
him off in a on a cart. So it's always
it's just like for the team, it's it's scary. It's
you know, the car at the ambulance, the you know,
your teammate like that, it's, uh, it's scary.

Speaker 5 (24:52):
That's interesting because when you say that, I think the
first thing that came to my mind was. I can't
believe that it didn't have more often. But I guess
it's because you're, you know, players, You work your abs
and your back your muscles so much that I guess
it would be hard to do that.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
But man, man, I.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Just learned too.

Speaker 6 (25:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Sometimes I'm still like a little bit surprised that, you
know the players, that doesn't happen more often. It is
amazing the the human body though.

Speaker 8 (25:17):
I mean you think of the violent nature of football
and there's injuries. Obviously every team has a big list
every week, but you really, you really there should be more.
I mean when it's all said and done, right, I mean.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
There's a lot. I mean we just most of them
get hurt and now you're walking around with a titanium hip.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Yeah right, another you're hurt, not injured.

Speaker 6 (25:39):
I feel bad that you're not getting enough injuries.

Speaker 8 (25:41):
Grammy about I just watched we try to get up
off the couch.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
I will tell you know how I how I feel well.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
And of course, yesterday's big injury we talked about in
the very first segment was uh uh Richardson from the
Colts getting his eye socket broke in pregame in pregame
from a warm up stretchy thing. I mean, can you imagine?
So all I can figure was like the bands. Yeah
it was a band.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Ye hit him right here, and it hit.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
Him in the eyeball and broke his eye sucket and
again I don't know any details, but all I can
think of it had to be real, real, real close
to taking out his whole eyeball.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Ye scary, can you imagine? And they had another guy
got injured in the pregew.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
Teammate, Yeah, out of himself.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
There was there was a tight end running you know,
you guys see it all the time, how they're running
every drill in like half the field. The tight end
is looking the other way, and ward is just you know,
they're practicing intercepting the ball. And then they just bom
right into each other and he hit the ground and
he was out. They had to put a towel over
his face because the lights were too bright.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Yeah it was. It was a bad injury.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
Yeah, man, all right, we didn't well, I mean, we'll break,
we'll come back. We haven't even started with fan five yet.
But you got more time, DT, you got times stick around.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Yeah, I'll give you.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
I'll got you he didn't wake up at four forty
to stop in for six minutes.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Pas walking up at four forty. Yeah, for six minutes,
six minutes.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Everything was a dream.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Looks how about somebody who's gonna be here on Friday
is probably the favorite for the Penn State job.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
Yeah, I knew it, probably, but he played for Penn State.
I didn't realize until he saw.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Well, I'll tell you, yes who Matt Ruhle, the head
coach in the Nebraska.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
He's a former Penn State player.

Speaker 8 (27:26):
The other guy that you hear getting tossed around is
the Indiana coach Kirk Signetti, who beat Oregon.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
That was.

Speaker 8 (27:33):
I mean, it's amazing what he's done there, really impressive.
He was born in Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh. That said, his whole
family's West Virginia's dad was a longtime coach at West Virginia,
and West Virginia hates Penn State.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
So I don't know, we'll see, man.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
I don't know how bad you know, there's there's nothing
worse than your dreams not coming true.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
Right Like you're like, oh, man, I.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Tried and I failed, But forty eight million dollars is
real good elixir.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yes, that's a good another.

Speaker 6 (28:02):
Child, I love it. That is a good way to say.
Mors are right back up for this on the fay.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Is so many day week from Thursday, join us in
Las Vegas, Nevada. Or we'll be broadcasting from Tom's watch bar.
We'll also have a couple of massive football watch parties.
You can decide where you stay, how you fly, how
hard you party.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
It's Vegas.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
You are away with the Power Trip KFE dot com
slash Vegas more details.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
So glad you said. I'm so sick of the Power
Trip trying to tell me how to party.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, are going to party on Friday? Drives me, Craig,
We're gonna get weird. We should go to the carnival bar.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
I think we should just go to the carnival.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Here.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Yeah, good point. Carnivals are fun. They also freaked me
out a little bit. Oh yeah, I like the mix
of the smells of popcorn and dog.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Poop and ladies, bearded ladies.

Speaker 6 (28:56):
Yeah yeah, especially the bearded ones.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Right Grimmer, Yeah yeah, you're into that, right hawk who me?

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Yeah? Yes, you beatle Juice?

Speaker 5 (29:04):
Yes, aren't you glad you came in DT?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Absolutely, I'm learning a lot.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Yeah, we really, I think of bearded women.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
I mean if I had I haven't had any coffee yet. Today,
might get the coffee. I can get everything figured out.
Beard good lady is a new thing for me.

Speaker 6 (29:18):
Yeah, I've had a lot of coffee.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
I still know them, Shari.

Speaker 6 (29:21):
I don't know what's going on, but I do know.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
It's time for some sports, and we got a couple
of sports guys here that's gonna be bad.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
I'm now for Front Page Sports presented by Holiday Station Stars.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Get three for the price at two for a limited
time only at Holiday That's right, Well, let's just start
with this. The Gophers beat Purdue twenty seven twenty on Saturday.
The Gophers scored fourteen points in the fourth to seal
the game. They scored those fourteen points even seconds apart.

(30:01):
The Gophers are four and two. They host Nebraska this
Friday pregame at five. Your Gophers are a six and
a half point underdog to twenty fifth ranked Nebraska.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
Six and a half points. Wow.

Speaker 8 (30:15):
Yeah, they're five and one sidebar hockey. Are you a
red Hot Chili Peppers guy?

Speaker 6 (30:21):
I sure am.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
Yeah. Did you hear about I saw it? I just
how cool is that?

Speaker 2 (30:26):
It was pretty sweet? I thought it was cool.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
So you can answer the question, I bet what what
is the tie of Chad Smith the drummer.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
He was born in Saint Paul, apparently lived in Saint
Paul with his family for a little bit, and then
the family moved to Detroit. So technically I think he
considers himself a Detroit guy. But his parents played in
the marching band at the U, and so he has
a Chad Smith Foundation, and part of that foundation is
trying to get young people who are interested in music

(30:55):
but maybe don't have the means to get involved. So
he has funded a scholarship Wow, for somebody to be
or maybe I don't know how big of a scholarship
or how many or what it is, but there'll be
kids who who might need money to go play in
the band at the U. The band, the trap set
or the drum set that he played with the band

(31:15):
was Gopher branded that had the M on it and everything.
They're going to auction that off to help part of
the Chad Smith Foundation. So if you're a drummer and
a Gopher fan, that might be something you might want
to look at.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
But it was great.

Speaker 8 (31:26):
Guards You, by the way, had him on his podcast
to preview that, like a week or two ago, Guardie's
Gopher Podcast.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
It's a pretty cool listen. Yeah, I never seen anything
like that, so that all the halftime Shoe's going to
watch and seeing a lot of people, but to see
him out there doing this thing at halftime, it was
pretty It was pectacular.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
It was great.

Speaker 8 (31:44):
And they had you know, they had each of the
drums micd up. You know, Chris, you know how all
that goes. You put the mics wherever, so it's over
the loud speaker. So the band's basically playing the Red
Hat Chili Pepper songs and he's drumming with them.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I mean he I'm guessing he knows those songs.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
I had to play drums on it.

Speaker 8 (32:00):
Yeah, And so like some of the videos, like even
I took a little video from the press box, it's
really hard to hear the band and everything in person.
Though it mixed, it mixed spectacular. It was really really cool.
So the videos people are seeing and then people are complaining, well,
it didn't sound great in person, it was phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I thought, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
How many people thought Will Ferrell was on the sha.

Speaker 6 (32:23):
They look, I can't believe him.

Speaker 8 (32:25):
You've seen that drum off on on fallon right, Yeah,
that that's one of the all time great bits.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Ever.

Speaker 6 (32:31):
It truly is unbelievable how much.

Speaker 8 (32:32):
They are incredibly I mean they actually I rewatched that
because I was curious. I did a little search to
see it again because I hadn't seen it in a while,
and it took it took me a second. They're both
sitting there dressed identically. I'm like, god, dang, I don't
know which one is which here.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Yeah, and uh a Friday night game. I'm excited because
my daughter and I buy both going. Yeah to be fine,
talked her into going to a game with me. This
it'll be fine, that'd be good.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Well, let's get the upset too, Let's get the up
The best part was Tommy was making all these plans
for after the game. A Hawk pause and goes, tell me,
I'll probably leave it half.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
Well by so many scores, you know, I got things
to do. Watch this blowout Nebraska again.

Speaker 8 (33:14):
There were a few people that left early Saturday, I
thinking it was over, and then the Gopher scored fourteen
in about seven seconds and.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
It was a fun listen on the radio.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Penn State fired James Franklin after three straight losses. They
lost to Oregon, they lost to UCLA, who had a
offensive corner that was calling plays for the first time.
Then they lost to sleepy Northwestern's at home. He's coached
there for twelve seasons. He's owed more than forty nine

(33:46):
million dollars, which is the second biggest buyout in history.
Who had the biggest buyout in college football history, Jimbo.
You are correct, Jimbo Fisher like almost eighty six million.
Sixteen days ago. You just said this off the air grimmer.
Penn State was ranked in the top five and now

(34:09):
they're without a head coach. And as I said before
the break, Matt Ruhle, the coach of Nebraska, is one
of the favorite tea to get that.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Yeah, it's interesting.

Speaker 8 (34:16):
You know, obviously in conference you don't see that very often.
He played at Penn State, was a grad assistant, I
think for Joe Paterno at Penn State. So there's clearly
some tieser he coached at Temple, which is in Pennsylvania.
Not only that, you think about they were ahead in
overtime at home against Oregon by seven and Oregon ends

(34:37):
up winning that game in overtime, and so you think
sixteen days ago, not only are they ranked like third
in the country, they're about to beat Oregon at home
and really vault into maybe the number two rankings, which
would have been his probably his biggest win, doubtedly would
have been his best win. The weird thing is he
has won some big ten titles. He was a few.
He was two pass completions away from potentially playing in
the national title game last year. Yeah, and that's how

(35:01):
that's how college athletics has changed a little.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
That's kind of ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
I mean, I don't know, DT tell me about it, Like,
can a guy who's had that kind of success really
be worth giving him forty nine million dollars to go away?

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Yes? Really? Yeah? Unfore, I mean, just tell me the
people of the fans. It's just it's the mood of
the people in the community if they want to get
rid of him. And at that place where football is
number one, yeah, I mean, wrestling is there in basketball everything,
but I know, but it's football. Football is number one
at Penn State. That is, you know, similar to Indiana
letting go of Archie Miller. You know, years ago they
paid him, I don't know, twenty million or something like that.

(35:34):
They will, They will let you go when you're at
one of those types of.

Speaker 8 (35:37):
Well, yeah, there's almost there's like becomes a point of
no return. And Chris, in this case, they're paying a
guy almost fifty million to get rule from Nebraska. They're
going to have to pay him ten million a year,
right because he's got a tremendously large lucrative contract at
at Nebraska, and the buyout's gonna you know, he ain't
gonna pay the buyout. They're going to have to do

(35:58):
that too, Netty at at Indiana if he is interested,
is I think his buyout to walk away. He just
signed an eight year deal last year as well, So
they're gonna have to pay somebody.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Probably.

Speaker 8 (36:10):
Look, you don't fire James Franklin and just go hire
some guy out of the mac No, I mean, you're
gonna go pay some the last million dollars the last
Saban Urban myer mate who knows right, because it's and
LaVar Arrington is on before us. Yeah, well talking to
Houston Christian too, Yeah, Houston Christian.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Well he got looks.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
The LaVar Arrington is on before us, and he was
basically saying, like James, Franklin is own way more credit
than he's given because they hired him right at like
he they had all those other guys that were hired,
but he was basically the guy that took them out
of what the best that was. Brian took over right
after paternal and they were supposed to be like with
the sanctions.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
And different things. People thought that this might be a
ten year recovery.

Speaker 8 (36:55):
And Bill O'Brien hadn't had him in a bowl game
right away, and and he was so impressive that the
Texans hired and then Franklin came in and took it
a step even better.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
He's had some highs on those Franklin. It's been incredible
just watching him, the highs he's had, the lows he's had,
and it's just right now to see this kind of
this tumble. The last couple of weeks have been pretty incredible.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Yeah, I do think too, there there and I don't
I don't know James Franklin at all. But I do
think there's there's ways coaches handle themselves at times, and
there's times where he just kind of comes across unlikable.
And I think fans at Penn State tired of that
a little bit. They you know, he just never you know,

(37:35):
he was always blaming something, and always he always talked about, well, we.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Know what this place, we know what this place.

Speaker 8 (37:41):
Yeah, I mean almost anything he said, well at this place,
that's not good enough.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
He has fifteen losses versus an ap top five.

Speaker 8 (37:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so it does you know, it's an
accumulation of disappointments. I think he only has two wins
in all of those years of our top ten teams. Yeah,
and so that that, you know, you keep losing to
Ohio State and Michigan and that becomes a problem for
Penn State.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (38:08):
So where's PJ going then?

Speaker 3 (38:10):
I think he's here. Yeah, Well U C. L A
might come barking.

Speaker 6 (38:14):
Again, maybe yeah, maybe.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Well. The other thing James Franklin has, he has the ammo.
You know, when you're when you're at a place like that,
you have the ammunition you go, you know, go to
Ohio State and you go to Michigan, you say, but
when Penn State comes in, you know, and they talk
about you know, the history and the National Championships and
the players and say Kwon Barkley and all the other
players in the NFL and Hall of Fame and places
like that, it makes a big difference. So he doesn't.
You don't have the excuse of like, we're just trying

(38:37):
to you know, we're doing the best we can with
what we have. It's yeah, you get some you have
some things there and came and the game's change.

Speaker 8 (38:43):
You pay a guy eight nine ten million dollars and
you're writing big checks as boosters. You expect the result
that that, to me, is going to be the single
one of the big It isn't the single biggest change,
but one of the big changes it. And Kirk Signetti,
while what he's done in Indiana is spectacular for Indiana,
coaches everywhere are going, oh man, now, He's like, if

(39:03):
Indiana can do what they're doing. Yeah, anybody that gets
hired anywhere is on a two or three year leash.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Otherwise they're gone in with a new guy.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
So we will play the audio of the movie lines
Oh can't wait.

Speaker 6 (39:16):
And the deep fate that you played on. I know
he tried to catch you. Why is he like that?
I don't understand. I don't know why he does this too. Hey,
how are things and bolder options?

Speaker 2 (39:28):
By the way, things are good things. It's been a
busy year, a good year though.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
Can we talk about that when we come back to
absolutely fantastic over back mornings On a Monday morning, six eighteen,
come up.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
He rubes.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
This football season, Bell Bank is giving one Cafan listener
eatoged one thousand dollars to pay it forward to a
charity of their choice. Set over to kfan dot com.
Keyword contest, learn more and entry today. That's kfan dot com.
That's right, heward contest.

Speaker 6 (39:56):
That's right, that's how it's done. Way you goes echo
Here we are.

Speaker 5 (40:00):
DT and Grim and I mean it sounds like a
like a band, like a boy band.

Speaker 6 (40:05):
Yeah, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
There is DT and Grim. That sounds like a boy band.

Speaker 6 (40:10):
Yeah it does what it sounds like to me? Yeah,
oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Anders sounds like a night of drugs.

Speaker 6 (40:18):
Sure well everything sounds like that. To use that, Yeah,
it's actually.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
You want to do that.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
That was last week.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
I had more medication than a horse of a contest.
That was so good.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
So before we jump into play in the audio and
such a tell me about Boulder Options and for people
out there unfamiliar with it, tell me how you're involved,
what what it's all about, what the organization does, and
how they can get involved.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Well, we always want more people involved. Appreciate you guys
having me on and Boulder Ops and something that's near
and dear to my heart. I've been there for twenty
nine years. So we work with youth ten to fourteen
year old youth and our goals introduced them to a
healthy live style through the running, biking, tutoring, homework. And
it's really about a positive, a old role model getting
involved in the life of a young person. And we
serve youth in Minneapolis, the first Ring suburbs, also Saint

(41:06):
Paul and in Rochester, the city where I was raised at.
So always looking for people to get involved. You guys
have been good to us. The last time we came on,
we got a handful of donations that actually got a
couple of mentors out of it as well. So every
time we come on there, you guys kind of fit
the demographic for you know, young men and young ladies
that are interested, active and you know, fired up about
making a difference in our community.

Speaker 6 (41:26):
What do you have to do? What are your what
do you need as far as to be a mentor
what kind of color qualifications.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
We're looking for anyone above the age of twenty one,
and you probably want to have, you know, kind of
a good record, you know stuff. We're going to do
a driving check, background checking, those type of things, and
really you want to get involved in the community and
make a difference in the life of a young person.
We're looking for one one afternoon or one day a week.
We're not We're not, you know, it's not all the time,
but you know, one day a week, and we know
there's holidays and birthdays and snow days and hot days

(41:54):
and all the other things. Several monces. We know that,
you know, we might miss a week, but that consistency
makes an impact, you know that, cause since being involved
in a young person's life every week makes a tremendous impact.

Speaker 5 (42:04):
Yeah, and just to show that you care, right so
that they matter and to all.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
That, and someone to listen to them. I mean think
that everyone needs someone to listen to them, someone to
care about them and to hear that story and they
get that at Boulder Options they will get a positive
adultoral model mentor and they actually get a staff person.
It's still going to be like involved. I still have
I have a handful of young people that I worked with,
you know, probably twenty five or almost thirty years ago,
that still still call. They'll still tax I've been to

(42:32):
birthday parties, I've been the graduations. I've held some babies
of young people that have graduated from Boulder Options. So
it's it's always a special time.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
Chris can I ask Darryl to tell a story about
his open house this year, which was which was it
was scary for a minute because the paramedics showed up
for the house next door.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
But we'll listen to this story.

Speaker 6 (42:49):
Ok.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Yeah, So we have our open house every year. We
have you know, food, barbecue, music and invite everyone to
come to it. And we have our there's a call
next door and an ambulance comes and a fire truck
and this one gentleman from the fire truck keeps looking
over at us and looking over at me and one
of my co workers Ryan, and he comes over and
he goes, hey, I was in Bolder Options. I was
in Boulder Options like thirty one years ago. Wow, And

(43:12):
I said, you remember your mentor And he said his
mentor's name just like damp. It's like Whipper at the
top of his head. So, you know, he talked about
the impact of the program. I invited him to come
over and hang out. He said, I can't. We can't.
Just like park a fire truck did he barbecue? So
he ended up coming back a couple weeks later. We
sat down and talked. I invited him to annial dinner.
They came to our annual dinner. And so this young man,

(43:33):
Jesse has been he's reconnected to us. They made actually
a really nice contribution from the firefighters to Bolder Options.
His his co workers were moved by the by the
impact they saw of Jesse and the Boulder Options connection.
So really a wonderful reconnection just out of the blue
that they just happened to be on that call and
they saved the guy's life next door, which was nice. Yeah, absolutely,

(43:53):
they saved his life.

Speaker 6 (43:54):
Did it put a damper on things when they found
out that grim set the fire?

Speaker 1 (43:57):
Yeah, over there in the box of man.

Speaker 5 (44:01):
No, that's a great that's a great story manute against
for people out there who are looking for a way
to give back.

Speaker 6 (44:06):
I mean, what better thing to do? What a great
way to pay it forward?

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Right?

Speaker 5 (44:09):
I just just wonder, So how can we get in
contact talk? Can we find out more information?

Speaker 2 (44:13):
I'd say probably the website's the best. Boulder Options dot
Org is the easiest way to get a hold of us,
you know, I think that's just kind of you know,
plain and simple. Go through the portal right there. You
can see our events, your activities. If you golf or
want to come to your dinner, or if you want
to you know, be involved as a mentor, you can
fill out everything right online there and we'll get back
to you.

Speaker 6 (44:29):
Do you think if Grim had a mentor growing up,
he wouldn't mess with you like he does.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
I think.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
The mentor right now is justin guards. That doesn't help.

Speaker 5 (44:38):
It doesn't help it all the way around Advent. So, uh,
you kind of you kind of missed you some misdirection.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Well I didn't on purpose, you know, being the funny
guy that I am.

Speaker 8 (44:48):
Hilarious, there was you know, there there was there was
a line waiting to be said, just generally just for
the humor. Of it, and so I said it, and
I think Daryl thought that had to be the line.
Probably offense number two ten yard piddle thing first out.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
That's Michael Jackson.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
On the whole.

Speaker 8 (45:09):
Jackson this Michael Jackson wears both gloves.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
As a receiver.

Speaker 3 (45:14):
I knew it was coming.

Speaker 8 (45:17):
And that will be a ten yard walk off as
he wrapped up his man tightened line of scrimmage.

Speaker 6 (45:23):
Yeah yeah, I mean, is he right? Did you think? Okay,
finally that you think you know what?

Speaker 2 (45:30):
I did think that that was the line because I
don't I don't quite pay enough attention. I think I
need to figure out what's going.

Speaker 6 (45:35):
On, right right?

Speaker 1 (45:38):
So then later so then I sprung the real line
on him, which was a plus.

Speaker 6 (45:42):
This is really well done.

Speaker 8 (45:43):
All right. They're headed toward the student section in here,
the boiler Makers twenty to thirteen. They've got the lead
trying to punch it in first and ten. They're at
the thirty two of Minnesota. Much of the student section
has gone few left on this stripe out. They're wearing
those striped bib overhauls DT that always look good to wear.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Those, You know what, we should get some of those
mic we need we need to, you know, kick our
game up a little bit of here.

Speaker 8 (46:05):
Absolutely, congratulations, enjoy looking like a hillbilly. Here's a dollar,
here's a handoff on first down, and again a one.

Speaker 2 (46:19):
Well, this is what we do need.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
We do need to stop.

Speaker 2 (46:22):
And bibbs. We need some bibs too. On question next week.
I want you in those Friday night I might be
I'm gonna pick that outfit up. It's so good.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
I heard it live and I laughed for like fifteen
minutes driving down the road.

Speaker 6 (46:35):
That's great again, that's a line from Jim Gaffigan, who
is a graduate.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Yeah, Purdue played football at Purdue.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
That was so good.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
It was so good, well done.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
That was Was that in a stand up did you say?
Or was that in a movie?

Speaker 8 (46:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (46:48):
That was an instant up.

Speaker 5 (46:48):
You're talking about giving tooth given the tooth fairy, giving
the kids money for the tooth fairy.

Speaker 6 (46:53):
Good luck, you know, looking like a hillbilly.

Speaker 8 (46:54):
So I was trying to figure out how to get
the line in, and I was thinking if Purdue scored,
I'd call in the hillbilly, but wasn't sure if I
really should do that. And they put up on the
screen about ten minutes before I pulled the line, they showed,
you know, some cutaways of the student section, and half
the student section wears those you know what I'm talking
to Malone and overall is that what they're calling? And

(47:17):
they're all wearing them because the weather was great, and
I'm like, well that that kind of has the country. Look,
that's how I'm going to fit the hillbilly line in.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
So I waited for the right time to spring it off.

Speaker 5 (47:27):
Do you ever realize you spend so much time thinking
about the movie line, you forget what game you're doing.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
And I do feel some pressure.

Speaker 8 (47:34):
I do feel some pressure, right because like people are
on me, like like it gets into the fourth quarter
and you know, my phone light and I'll look down.
It's like some guy from you know, Rogers is texting saying, hey,
I haven't heard the line yet.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
I'm like, I know, I'm.

Speaker 8 (47:49):
Trying to get it in here, man, and there's a
Division one football game going on.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
Yeah yeah, but would you be willing to allow me
to text you a movie line and see if you
can slide it past my grind?

Speaker 3 (47:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (48:00):
That's what I need going on in my head. Got
so many other things going on in my head, what's
going on and we're gonna win? I'm always trying to
figure that out. But yeah, you know you should. You
should send me the line. I'd love that.

Speaker 6 (48:11):
That'd be great. One is a great well, it's great,
a great surprise to have you in.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Many Thank you very appreciate the early wake up and
hopefully the next time I'll have some coffee.

Speaker 5 (48:21):
You know what we have to do. Ben just walked
and we had a Have you stick around for one
more segment? If you can, have you and Ben go
on the radio. I don't think that's ever happened before.
Have you ever been on the radio? Have been laber before?

Speaker 2 (48:30):
No, I would be it would be an honor.

Speaker 3 (48:32):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 6 (48:33):
After this, it's powershept morning Shore. We'll be right back
on the fight.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
We all remember that one teacher who made a difference,
who believed in us, challenge us, or just made learning fun.
How's your chance to say thank you in a big
way with iheartradios.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
Thank a teacher powered by donors choose.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Having an outstanding public school teacher who's got above them.

Speaker 3 (48:58):
Beyond for their students to win.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
I had thousand dollars to stock their classroom with whatever
they need. Help us say thank you to the educators
shaping our future. Nominate your favorite teacher now at heart
radio dot com slash teachers.

Speaker 5 (49:13):
Yeah, thank you teachers. Hey, thank you for tuning into
the part of morning show. I'm Ben Lieber.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
Hi, good morning.

Speaker 6 (49:20):
How are you, buddy, great man?

Speaker 2 (49:21):
How you doing?

Speaker 6 (49:22):
I'm good.

Speaker 5 (49:22):
Did you did you actually take a Sunday off or
did you just just fill it up with stuff?

Speaker 6 (49:27):
Well?

Speaker 3 (49:27):
Yeah, I filled it up with stuff.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
My youngest had a a hockey scrimmage actually at Merriuchi Arena,
which is awesome because I was with these two lovely
gentlemen sitting to my right at the Gopher game Saturday night,
and then we just basically wrapped it around the next
day and we're back down in the same area where
they're having an you know, his first pee wee, you know,

(49:50):
hockey scrimmage and on the big ice at the college arena.
So it was it was awesome.

Speaker 6 (49:54):
That's pretty cool. What did you think to your first
Gopher game?

Speaker 2 (49:56):
It was sweet? Yeah, yeah, I mean, of course, you
know when when one of the team docs, doctor Jewison,
gives me as his field passes and you know, get
the boys down the field, which way different experience than
going down to the Vikings field before the game. Well
the Vikings, you know, the NFL is like it's such

(50:18):
a I don't know, I guess maybe you know, they
got to pay attention to the security a little bit more.
Oh yeah, right, yeah, you know, and everything is like
they want to clear the field twenty thirty minutes before
the game actually starts. I was thinking, I was looking
at the clock and I was like, well, it's about

(50:39):
fifteen minutes before kick and my boys, we should probably like,
they're probably gonna tell us to leave here presuon. Well,
then all of the alumni come out to shake hands
with the with the players as they're coming out. So
I see Tommy and Eddie yeah, and so I go
over and say hi to them. Next thing, you know,
the game, the game kicks off. We're still in the
back of the end zone and I'm like, look at

(51:02):
it around, like do they not care that we're just
in here? And Tommy's like, nah, they're fine, And I'm like,
oh what. I'm like, what a difference it makes to
go to a college game versus.

Speaker 1 (51:11):
An NFL Even like you're the Vikings game, they take
a face scan, Like, oh, every five feet you step,
there's a new scan, then get into a new thing.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. So I loved the I don't
want to say it's lax, but I liked the freedom
and the feel of being at a college game again.
So I think probably having that the alumni game even
makes it even a little bit looser with you know,
he had almost I had on my Binoka's probably like
one hundred and fifty two hundred guys down there, so
it's a lot more milling around and a little bit

(51:41):
more looser than it typically would be. Yeah, that was
Tommy great. What I mean, you know, you guys all
know he's great, But it was funny because you know,
he's he's meeting my boys for the first time, and
he and Eddie couldn't have been nicer. And you guys,
you know, obviously his personality is over the top the

(52:02):
way it is. I'm sure that he had a few
pops beforehand. Tom so he was, you know, even extra
smiley and giggly. And so the story I'll share is
we we have our meeting, we go back, we walked
into the tunnel. They take a couple of pictures with
my boys. We go on our separate ways and little
Welzi in my eleven. He's like, he's like, who is

(52:22):
that again? So I tried to like, oh, they both
played for the Gophers, are really good their offensive lineman whatever,
and he goes, I like them, he goes, they seem
really happy. I go, yeah, description, I know. I was like,
you nailed it right on the head, like they are
just like two happy guys. Like all the time.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Did you see Bobby Bell down there?

Speaker 2 (52:46):
I did not. I saw, you know, I saw the
ceremony or whatever in the presentation during the game, but no,
I did not see him.

Speaker 8 (52:53):
Yeah, it's always cool to see him man, like one
of the old time oh great players.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
I mean literally, I mean he's and he's still looks
he looks great. He look scary the cads. He's laughing,
he's joking, he's telling stories. Asking one question and fifteen
minutes later, you know you've got to.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
Ask him a second question.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
Yeah. Oh yes. There's been several several charity events where
I've gone to where you know, he's getting introduced and
like the quote unquote celebrities in the room are getting
introduced and he stands up and just starts starts talking,
you know, and everybody's like, you know, all right, Bobby,
like we'll save story time later, you know. Like he

(53:29):
just he's got a great personality. And shoot, how old
is here? Well we're trying to do too. Yeah, he's
got to be. All those guys have to be in
their eighties. It was just nineteen sixty, right, National title.
So yeah, you're so that's years ago, and is.

Speaker 6 (53:42):
He still getting wrong? Pretty well?

Speaker 2 (53:44):
So he had that thing where he could take like
a pennion out of your hand. You ever done that before?

Speaker 4 (53:49):
What?

Speaker 6 (53:49):
So? Probably up until like he's a thief, no I
in your hand.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
And he had studied like Muhammad Ali when he was
growing up, so he would have a penny in his hand,
your hand, and he could take the penny out your
hand before you could close you no kidding though, Well, man,
I mean up until I haven't seen him do this trade.
I remember Mike, Yeah, yeah, he'd been doing it. And
he did it to me like and I was like,
I said, I'm yeah, there's no so agile. He's like
he could get that penny out of my hand before
I get he.

Speaker 3 (54:14):
Was He's awesome. So smart too.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
I mean, just yeah, the whole isn't he isn't he
Pro Football Hall of Fame like top Wasn't he like
the top of the lists?

Speaker 6 (54:23):
Yea, yeah, I mean like he's like he's like John
fifty or whatever they call right, the tip of.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
The tip tips.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
He's part of the NFL one hundredth Anniversary All Time Team,
the NFL nineteen seventies All Decade Team. He was a
six time AFL All Star, three time Pro Bowler, five
time first team All AFL, First Team, All Pro, Super
Bowl Champ, high school quarterback, yeah, two time First Team
Big Ten. He was in the college obviously College Football

(54:52):
Hall of Fame as well, so he's in both, which
I'm sure there's many that are in both. But his
his story is pretty unique too, and that he came
from a small South Carolina so yeah, North Carolina, Carolina.
Uh and and a small school and it was still
the South. Southern schools didn't let black players play, so
a lot of these guys would come to Minnesota and uh,

(55:14):
you know he he I mean, many people believe if
he hadn't played well, he did play both ways at Minnesota, Yeah,
not mostly defense, but they if he if he wasn't
gonna if he wasn't gonna be a great defensive end,
he'd have been a great tight end or.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Even receiver. I mean, it's how good of an athlete
that guy was him to play hockey. He went out there,
he was Who's Who's Who's the guy the named Billings
named after. He had him out there on skates one day.
Mai had out there one day and he's like, I
just because he goes his reflexes, he'd watch him. He goes.
No one could get a goal against him. All the problems.
He couldn't stand up on skates.

Speaker 6 (55:53):
Is that a requirement to skates?

Speaker 2 (55:55):
He just run on the ice. Yeah, yeah, just put
on it.

Speaker 6 (55:59):
Well that's really cool, man. And how many alumni did they.

Speaker 8 (56:02):
Have, Well they said two twenty. I don't know if
they were all on the field, but you know that.
And then it ranged from the nineteen sixty team, which
those guys were in their eighties to dudes like Max
Broseman who played last year.

Speaker 2 (56:15):
Who was on the sideline.

Speaker 6 (56:15):
Yeah, that's cool.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
It was the full range of guys.

Speaker 8 (56:19):
And I don't know does Case State do something similar,
Like if you wanted to go back.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
I was just thinking about that they do and unfortunately,
because of all of the football roles that I've gone, yeah,
never gone harder, and they have it do itee, don't
you know it's very similar. I think they have a
I think you guys probably do it too. There's like
I think every single home game there's like an alumni

(56:43):
tailgating tent, so all the alumni. It doesn't be a
special occasion. They can just go and they can just
kind of like get together and gather in this tent.
But then like, oh hey, and then once a year
they have sort of an alumni day. And I've never
been able to go because whether we're traveling with the
Vikings or at one point in time when I was
working college football is working games.

Speaker 6 (57:04):
So admit it, you haven't been invited.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
Yeah, they don't want I would love to go.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
I bet did the did the Wildcats win this weekend?
They did? They beat TCU, I believe. Yeah, it was
a little upset. Yeah, we're on the struggle bus a
little bit. I mean we're kind of up and down.
More importantly, when we're talking about college football. Daryl Thompson,
have you seen Chad Powers yet?

Speaker 6 (57:26):
No show such a good show. It makes me laugh. Ben,
have you watched it?

Speaker 2 (57:31):
Yeah, yet happier than the show I just finished watching it. Well,
that's the thing I was going to bring up too.
So we so Aby and I sat down the other
night and like, I suggested Chad Powers. She had no
idea what Chad Powers was. I said, I go, trust me.
I think it's actually pretty pretty good, pretty funny. I
think it's gonna be good for us. And then we
then we stumbled across the Ed Gaines story. We made

(57:52):
it through one episode and she's like, I don't want
to watch this. I'm like, all right, cool, so I
might have to watch that by myself. And also Chad Powers.
But if you watch it, watch it during the daylight. Yeah,
that's choking. I have some things rumbling through your head.
He was a he uh got a lot of people
fired up about doing some bad things he.

Speaker 6 (58:11):
Did, didn't he.

Speaker 5 (58:12):
That was such a show, right, I mean unbelievable, that
whole show. I watched it on the way back from
our trip to Europe DT and I couldn't stop watching.
I watched the entire thing on the plane, the entire thing.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
How many episodes?

Speaker 6 (58:23):
Eight?

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (58:24):
It was a nine hour flight. Do the math. I'm
not good at it.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
Wow, that's a lot of time.

Speaker 6 (58:29):
I couldn't get out of the chair. Ben was snoring.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
It's nineteen percent on Rotten to I know it.

Speaker 6 (58:35):
I understand why it is.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
It's that low.

Speaker 3 (58:37):
Yeah, and I.

Speaker 6 (58:38):
Understand why it's weird.

Speaker 5 (58:39):
They take chances and they do weird things, and you're like, wait,
is that really happening? Why is Charles Manson dancing to
an eighty song? I still don't understand that part of DT.

Speaker 2 (58:47):
But man, well they saw that. They feel like he
inspired like a lot of Hitchcock and Gray Bundy, and
that was I was like, ooof yeah, yeah, you know,
off of the one episode that we watched. I think
it's fascinating how gullible and dumb we were as a
society back at that time. Where you know, he I

(59:11):
don't want to get no spoiler alerts here, but like
when they're doing the the adutopsy of his brother's death, yes,
you know, and you know the medical examiner gives his assessment,
You're like, God, you're dumb. Like people were just dumb
back then, Like how did they didn't have very much technology,
so it was you're right, he just said, he goes, well,

(59:32):
he was kind of laying in there and he fell
asleep in the fire.

Speaker 12 (59:35):
Yeah, I know, he was like what he did, get
tired a lot.

Speaker 4 (59:45):
It's weird.

Speaker 6 (59:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (59:46):
But anyway, you know what, as we have the whole
group here, let's go through some NFL scores well quick
given though, I mean obviously, uh, we have three football
experts in here and then the rest of us too,
So let's do that, shall we.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
The Broncos beat the Jets thirty team to eleven in
the London game. It was super are they completely defeated,
super boring. The Jets had a limit, right, I think,
I don't know. I think after watching what I watched
and how they literally just hand the ball off and
they're afraid to throw the ball because Justin Fields is
so bad, terrible. I think Aaron Glenn makes it one year.

(01:00:20):
I think they can't, can't. Harrett Wilson was screaming at
him on the sideline. It's a disaster in New York.
They but Justin Fields just couldn't pull the trigger. Oh yeah,
I mean, football man, I don't know football DT.

Speaker 5 (01:00:34):
You were about to say that, I mean, do you
think that is there a chance you don't think he
makes it this year at all.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
I think there's a chance he went make it the
whole season.

Speaker 3 (01:00:41):
It's that bad, really, Yeah, I mean the.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Penalties they are just like they just look I mean,
I'm not I look like a team in disarray and
I'm not a I got nothing in the Jets fire,
you know.

Speaker 6 (01:00:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:00:52):
Right, do you remember, obviously you remember him as a
college football quarterback. Did you think Field was going to
be better than he is?

Speaker 6 (01:00:59):
Daryl?

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Yeah, I did, actually, you know, especially you know, I
mean it's also you never know about kind of the
run around running quarterbacks, especially coming out of a program
at Ohio State, with the surrounded by a tremendous amount
of talent, Sometimes you can get to be in a
situation where things look you look better than maybe you are.

Speaker 8 (01:01:16):
Yeah, and outside of Stroud, all those Ohio State guys
have kind of been iffy, right.

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
Yeah, yeah, even Stroud, and even Stroud is kind of
straying that way, right, But I owing six.

Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
By the way, there are multiple times in yesterday's game
they got the ball back with like a minute forty left.
I think they had two timeouts and they're looking at
the sidelines, like do you how do you want to
play this? Are we gonna up tempo? Kurt Warner is
like beside himself in the booth because they're just running
thirty one dive after thirty one dive de Bresse Hall

(01:01:48):
and he'd get a yard and then they just look
over and they was, Yeah, it was as did they
run a fake punt and then didn't barely got it?

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (01:01:57):
Yeah, they punt to extended possession and then then they
did nothing like decided well that's it, We're not even
gonna try to throw the ball down field.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
It was really weird because the time was white. That
was in the late second quarter, right, Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
It was weird, ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
The Colts beat the Cardinals thirty one twenty seven.

Speaker 6 (01:02:16):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
They the Cardinals almost pulled that officer without Kyler Murray.
Jacoby Brissett played through for three twenty two and two touchdowns.
That Colts team, Man, they're five and one. They are
a machine.

Speaker 5 (01:02:30):
Anybody besides me see the bit that DANL. Jones talking
about being under the Vikings umbrella for just six weeks.
Did anybody see us saw that?

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
I saw a little bit.

Speaker 6 (01:02:38):
That's gonna make you love our coach even more.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
It does.

Speaker 6 (01:02:40):
Yeah, I mean if you haven't seen it, you got
to watch it.

Speaker 5 (01:02:42):
I mean anybody who spends any time with Koc is
just like, yeah, this is the way it's supposed to
be done.

Speaker 6 (01:02:49):
Now I'm cured.

Speaker 5 (01:02:50):
Like I'm pretty sure if I walked in there, I
wouldn't be crazy anymore, you know what i mean, Like
if he allowed me to sit in with him, there'd
be no depression.

Speaker 6 (01:02:57):
I'd be I'd be fit, everything'd be great. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
I didn't hear that part about the diet.

Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
Yeah, I think he just cures you with this smile.

Speaker 6 (01:03:07):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:03:08):
I love it though, man, And who would have thought
a change of scenery like that would would help a.

Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
Five and one team. I mean it's like he's a
completely different quarterback. Did you guys watch that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Game at all?

Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:03:20):
He seems in control all the time in a way
he never did when he had the blue uniform.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Ond. No.

Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
Yeah, he's decisive talent, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
I mean, he's not making the mistakes that he made
countless times in New York. Like I never I never
would have picked Daniel Jones as being this type of guy.

Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
And Jonathan Taylor Thompson is having a banner.

Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Years yeah company, Yeah, you mean three company.

Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
The Chargers beat the Dolphins twenty nine to twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
The Dolphins are one in five. That team is a
coach naked.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Well, how about after the game, he was like, people
aren't showing up to meetings. They don't respect the leadership.
And then everybody on social media is like, to a
you're the leader. Like it was it was a weird moment,
but yeah, so how do you not show up at meetings?

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Well, it's player led meetings. I mean it was very Yeah,
it was a little bit of a like, I think
it was a little bit of a misnomer on social media.
The headlines were players not showing up for meetings, and
then if you watch the clip of him talking, he's like,
it's the player led meetings. So like, you know how

(01:04:28):
it is like you have your team meetings, you have
your position meetings and all this other stuff, and they're like, hey, guys,
stick around for another hour. It's gonna be just us
dudes watching some game tape or whatever or coming early
and watching Like it sounds like they're not getting a
lot of buy in from that, which again goes back
to I mean, I don't know if it's just specifically quarterbacks.

(01:04:49):
I don't think it's quarterbacks not showing up or offense,
but like, I think he's the same in general. Anytime
there's a player led meeting for either the offense, defense,
or different position groups, guys aren't showing up and being consistent,
which I mean, I think it gets a little bit nickpicky.
I mean, when you're not when you're not winning, you're
gonna look at all those things. But I had winning football.
We was on winning football teams, and guys were sometimes

(01:05:11):
inconsistent with that too. It's like, dude, I gotta go,
I gotta I got a sick kid. I'm gonna go home.
You know, I don't know, ye do you like, what's
the guy's name? The coach Michael.

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
Park knows what's what's head coach of the Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (01:05:23):
Johnny Testel, Johnny Testl.

Speaker 8 (01:05:25):
So, uh, he's he's kind of generally thought of as
this casual and I don't know what he's like in
the building, but this casual player friendly, you want to
be everybody's buddy. Let's not take this too seriously, do
you think that can lead into this where guys just don't.
I mean, you gotta have a guy that's at some
point gonna lay the law down.

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
Yeah, yeah, I definitely think. I mean, I don't know
how he runs it with his own his own meetings,
but if, like, if he's finding guys and calling guys
out for being late, missing meetings of his meetings, then
then yeah, I mean it's you know, everything comes top down,
and I don't know the way that he presents himself
in the media. I can see why guys probably trample

(01:06:07):
over his Yeah, I hate him so much. Wow?

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
Was that in Tua?

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
That was Johnny Testy. The Patriots beat the now one
in five Saints twenty five to nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:06:21):
Drake May, Yeah, eighteen?

Speaker 6 (01:06:24):
The hell is going on?

Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Three touchdown?

Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
I mean, Drake May? All these these quarterbacks finding them
finding themselves. How much fun is that?

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Man?

Speaker 6 (01:06:31):
Like that kid? Did you see that throw?

Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:06:34):
Ninety yards?

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (01:06:35):
Man, I know I'm exaggerating, but my goodness.

Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
Yeah, you sound like collins Worth talking about Mahomes. Oh.

Speaker 6 (01:06:42):
Yeah, I can't take it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:43):
There, I can't do it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
I can't do it.

Speaker 6 (01:06:45):
Yeah, I got collins Worth after the game.

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
And like that penalty last night on Travis Kelcey was
so ticky tacky and they just throw It's like, come
on that, it's their play. He ate Brian Branch whoever
it was, has a he also has a chance for
the ball, and he's like they're just hand fighting, and
and Travis Kelsey throws his hands up like the diva
he is, and they just throw a flag first down,

(01:07:11):
move on.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
It's so it's so.

Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Kelsey initiated the contact, correct, Yes, like the players the
defenders in his spot and he initiates the contact. So
what's the player gonna do, just like not put his
hands on him when you when you come towards me
and put your hands on me first.

Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
And then that's a touchdown where although it's an illegal play, right,
it's non reviewable. And then they all huddle and they're like,
well let's change yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
Correct the quarterback? Yeah yeah, so I will play. I
will actually side with the officials on this. I understand.
I understand it's like not reviewable, but get the play,
get get it right, Like you can't just like make
up your own offensive plays.

Speaker 3 (01:07:59):
I missed part of.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Yeah, but he has to set for a second or
something he was since he was under center, he had
to be set once he went in motion, didn't set
outside where we didn't get So that was that if
he had lined up in the shotgun, he'd have been okay, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
If he was in shotgun and then goes from motion there,
but he was like under center kind of like wiggling around.
Then it just like takes off, doesn't like take a
stam chickens.

Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
I had a moment where I'm like, I've never seen
that play before, Like I've never seen it, and now
I know why you're not.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Allowed to see it again. You'll just see the guy set.

Speaker 6 (01:08:33):
Yeah, yeah, right, right exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
That is somebody I think it might have been.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
Pat McAfee tweeted, did uh Jerrett Goff just moss somebody
without jumping.

Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
Yes, it was a cool play.

Speaker 2 (01:08:46):
How about the fact that the Chiefs in the game
with zero penalties, zero zero zero disc Andy reid Man,
you take a team when Ady Ree was the tight
end coach when I was with the Packers, I love
and he was great. Yeah it sounds like Michael Well, guy,

(01:09:07):
I just hate the way that the league treats the Chiefs.
It's almost it's almost like the way that the league
treats them versus their style and their play, like obviously
they're well coached team, and they move the ball. I
mean they they were moving the ball against the Lions.
I mean they were doing their part. It's kind of
unorthodox at times, but it works good for the Vikings, Yeah,

(01:09:28):
for the vice.

Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Yeah that's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's anybody's ball game
at this point. Hey, DT, it's great to have you, Matt.

Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
Thank you. I appreciate the time and grim thank you.

Speaker 12 (01:09:37):
Very much, as always do for our guy here. Yeah
is it dot com dot org dot org? Got got
got got it? Yeah yeah, yeah, you got it. Thank you, guys,
thank you, thank you.

Speaker 5 (01:09:48):
Stick around, Patrick morning Trow must want be in soon.
I haven't talked to him today.

Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
He might be, might be.

Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
