Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, thanks for listening to the best of Cabino and
Rich podcast. Be sure to catch us live.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Every day from five to seven pm Eastern two to
four Pacific on Fox Sports Radio. Find your local station
for Cavino and Rich at Foxsports Radio dot com, or
stream us live every day on the iHeartRadio app by
searching FSR. I want to start with last night's Knicks
Pacers game, not because it was the best game, unless

(00:28):
you're Jalen Brunson, who is just proving everyone in the
NBA wrong. And again, we love to criticize when people
make mistakes, but no one is going to give the
Knicks front office credit by going after this guy.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
When Mark Cuban very well said, I don't want to.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Give this guy what was like fifty over three years,
but another forty point game after a pretty crappy game,
he comes back totally redeems himself Nix with the big
win one twenty one ninety one over the Pacers.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I heard someone say this morning that Cuban should be
the Knicks executive of the game.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's funny.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I mean, Cuban makes a lot of great decisions, but
I mean sometimes you don't see everything.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
So I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Listen, look at every draft, every free agency. There's hits
and misses. Okay, sometimes it's a fit, you know, sometimes
it's just about right place, right time. But what fun
is it having a national radio show if you can't
embarrass one of your friends.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Once in a while.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
That's out of the fun of it, right, knowing that
we're on hundreds of radio stations around the country, and
I could poke fun at my butt a little bit.
So my buddy Chris, who lives in Connecticut, he does
really well at his job. I won't call out what
company works for because I don't want to embarrass him more.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
But he's pretty important at the company he works for.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
And he goes, oh, he's the one that works at
the Pentagon.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, yeah, Pedag, Yeah Pentagon, Chris.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
He works for our company that said we need yet
entertain this big time client. And he's a personable guy,
funny guy. He's like, I have second row seats on
the floor to the Knicks Pacers, serious second row, just
not nick paid. Like this is a big game that's
pretty impressive, Like for real, He goes, I'm not joking.

(02:14):
I see him go on Instagram live before the game.
I'm like, oh my god, he ain't Bsen. He's like
walking on the court and as the game goes on,
my buddy Chris is sending me pictures and selfies. He's
like Tracy Morgan. He's taking selfies. Spike Lee, turn around, buddy.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Click click click.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Dude, he asked Billie Eilish to FaceTime his kids. He's
like Ben Stiller, what's up? My man hugging Ben Stiller.
I'm like, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (02:47):
So I got it.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I'm a little jealous because my daughter is a huge
Billy Ilish fan.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Did she do it? I think she took a picture
and was like, yeah, God, that's insane. So my question
is this.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Totally embarrassingly overstepping or funny as hell his stances?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Dude, I don't care. I'm a fan at the games.
There's Ben Stiller, there's Billie Eilish.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Tracy Morgan. I'm gonna get someone pregnant. He's taking selfies
or Tracy Morgan. And his whole thought is what do
I care? That was a great Tracy Morgan. I thought
he was here for up Astronaut Jones, Tracy Morgan, Trivia
Next Hour. Tracy Morgan's great been on our show name Trump.
But for real, I told him, I go, yo, you

(03:34):
are so embarrassing. As the kids would say, you're so cringe,
and he's like his whole take on and cringe when
adults say you're so cringe, I think so Yeah, I
think so too. But my take was you're a girl, man,
stop it. His take was, I'm second rout the Knicks game.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Beat it.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I'm gonna do all the stupid things I want to do. Hey,
Ben Stiller, you want to have a mirror the other
the next round's on me. To me, it's ultimately embarrassing
and cringey. He thinks it's hilarious, and hey, that's the
thing to do. So I ask you, it's all the approach,
it sounds to me, and I know you didn't intend
it for it to come across this way. Sounded to

(04:18):
me that your buddy Chris was having a great time.
Ye having a good time. I know. The question is
did he overstep or is it just fun and funny Danny?
If I said happy birthday, Danny, and I headed you
court side of the Lakers, and all of a sudden,
the Kardashians are there. Jack is back for a final game.
All the stars are out, Are you and Brenda minding
your own? Are you taking selfies?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
You got to approach the right celebrity. What did I
tell you Eminem would have done to his phone, He
would have smashed it.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Smacked out his hand. Yeah, you know, I think it's
on the approach. I think he's on the person. It's
who you're stepping two as well, right, But I think
it's about self awareness and knowing how you're coming up
cross if your buddy's coming there, playful, having fun.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Hey kids, Look I'm with Billie Eilish. She turns around.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
She gets a nice little laugh out of it, Like,
you have to know your annoyance factor. Some people are
more abrasive than others. If he came across the way
you're describing it, and I noticed guy too, So maybe
that is giving me he's funny. He's a harmless, fun
and funny guy. It sounds, or it could be perceived
that he's overstepping, but it sounds to me that it

(05:27):
just was a fun atmosphere and he was taking it
all in. Look, I know the sentiment of hey, dude,
act like you've been there, But if you haven't, are
you supposed to pretend to not have a good time.
I'm kind of on his side, to be honest, and
I'm not just saying that to be contrarian.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
He's never been there, He's having fun. Trust the playoffs.
Trust me.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
There's whether it's you're an adult or kid. You almost
have to be reminded sometimes, like there's ways to act.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
And here's another layer.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Is he misbehaving or is he having a good time?
That's what you have to ask yourself. Sometimes you could
be misbehaving. Are you a drunken idiot and you're annoying
people or are you really just in the moment.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Having a blast. There's a difference.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I'll give one more layer, and then I'm curious what
you guys think. At eight, seven, seven, nine nine on Fox,
the fact that the game was at Madison Square Garden
and the Knicks were whooping the pacers ass the whole
time also leaves everyone there in a really good mood.
So if you're court side and you're Ben Stiller and
you're Spike Lee with your jersey on, and you're Tracy Morgan,

(06:34):
I'd imagine they were all very happy. If someone bothered you, Cavino,
not that you're a anyone. But I'm saying if someone
bothered if we're talking about if someone bothered you, I've
seen me on music Mayhem if someone bothered you at
a Yankees game and the Yankees were crushing. Instead of
let's say someone's bothering you and the Yankees were getting crushed,

(06:56):
you're at your vibe would probably be doing Okay, that's
a great factor too. Again, know that I'm in the place,
know the person the US arabys Garden was probably hopping.
Let me tie this into other sports. This is Fox
Sports Radio, right. Isn't one of your biggest criticism Rich
and mine, to be honest about teams like the Yankees
and the Dynasty era of the Yankees, was that they

(07:18):
didn't celebrate when they won the Pennant or when they
won the division, or when they won anything, because it
was act like you've been there before, and you see
other teams win it and they're in full on celebration
mode because they haven't.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Isn't there a part of you it's like, hey, it's sports.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You're supposed to celebrate these victories, celebrate these moments, be
in the moment, have fun.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Why are you so boring about it?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
One of the criticisms I have was the Yankees weren't
celebrating moments they should have been celebrating at a certain point.
So I do see a time and a place when
you're supposed to act like you've been there. But in
an atmosphere like this, to me, you're supposed to celebrate.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
You'll have fun.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
You know what, I'm man enough to say that, I'm
I allow my opinion to be swayed if the argument's
good enough. And you know what, the more thinking about it,
playoff atmosphere, you're high five in and bro hugging drunk fans. Yeah,
let's go, nixt let me that just so happens.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Let's go it just so happens. He's sitting next to
Tracy Morgan. There's an exception here, though. If your friend
did it in small bursts, in just once with a
picture or whatever, that's fine. But how about the fans.
We've all seen it and heard it, Like you're watching
that broadcast and the lady who's screaming right near the
microphone is screaming the entire game. There's also been fans

(08:33):
who will scream the celebrities name over and over and over,
trying to get their attention. So if this is like
a long interaction your friend was trying to have, then
it's too much.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
I'm not comparing the wrestler Booker T too. That's exactly
what came to mind to Tracy Morgan or Billie Eilish, Right,
But we went to the Fendora tim Zoo fight recently
in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Who else fought that night? That wasn't the only fight.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
There was a lot.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Oh Yeahple Cruise fought he won that night, and Booker
T was standing behind us, And in that moment, you're
all sitting next to each other. Isn't it more normal
to act like this guy's just a regular dude. So
when he's cheering along the fight, I'm like, hell, yeah,
you know, you give him little fist palm.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah, you got money out for door let's car.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
And during intermission a couple of fans took quick photos
with him, but they weren't bothering him during the action.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
That's the thing. There's a way to do it rich
where I could see it as overstepping and annoying and obnoxious.
I see all that too, But then there's another way
where you're just having a great time and they're there
and they're just part of the great time. I know
your buddy, I know he's not a drunken buffoon. He's
with a client. You already said that, you know, so
in my opinion, he brought the fun. He's bringing the

(09:55):
fun and he's like, yo, I'm taking pictures so of
my kids could see dad having this fun.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
This is great, you know what. This isn't an everyday thing.
This is awesome. Dam And I hate that you. I
hate that.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I'm like I said, when I'm okay changing my opinion.
If you have you convinced me, do two rights make
the wrong here? Rich and I onto something if we agree,
it's fact. You know, I'm gonna I'm gonna hit him
up right now and say, you know what, maybe you're
onto something in fact, if you follow us at Covin
on Rich, Hey, I'm gonna I'm gonna post I'm gonna
post like a couple of pictures on our Instagram story

(10:26):
of his night because I want to see he is
like in the face, like it looks like there's a
huddle happening where it's Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, and Spike
Lee and they're all huddled and I feel like my
buddy was sort of like, yo, let me in, and
I'm like, oh.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
That's funny, man. I think he had a great time.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
I think asking Billie Eilish to FaceTime his kids is
a little overstepping.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
But I wasn't there. Did he do it playfully? Was it?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Was it a funny moment? These are all bold requests.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
But again, when we saw wrestling legend Booker t behind us,
I game a fist pump and or a fist bump,
but I also fist pump with him. I mean, are
you are from Jersey when for one we were fist
pumping and I think it just adds to the fun atmosphere.
It's kind of surreal, man Like, if you're not taking
it in, why are you not?

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Why are you even there?

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Man?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Well, you know what, you could argue, what's the point
of having second row floor seats if you can't hobnob
a little bit with the celebrities right in a fun way?
Are you being a stalkerish stand kind of fan? Are
you being weird about it?

Speaker 6 (11:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (11:32):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Again, if you're self aware, I think you'll you could
get away with this And yeah, not come across like
a creep you know what you know, I'll give you
an analogy. You know how some guys could be flirty
with a woman and other guys think they're being flirty
and you make eye contact with the girl like do
you need me to get this guy out of here?

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Like do you need any help?

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Because the guy doesn't realize you're saying is two people
could say the same exact thing, and one could be
perceived this creepy, the other could be perceived.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
As charming, depending on your own creep factor.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Yeah, but I'm saying like, you be self aware and
you'll know. If you're pretty self aware, you'll know where
you stand. But there are times like again, it's like
you'll see a guy talk to a girl and if
he feels like, yeah, she's not that interested, but I
have a good night.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
And then there'll be the other guy that's like, so like.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Where are you going after this?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
And you see the girl being like, oh my god,
get the hint. Be self aware. Let's go to Gunner
in Eugene.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
Ho.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
I'm hoping we see Gunner on Friday. We're gonna be there.
What's up, dude?

Speaker 7 (12:36):
Guy there?

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Hello, Yeah, we're here, man, we're gonna see a Friday
or what.

Speaker 7 (12:39):
So excited man, nice, he has to come to eg Man,
he has there.

Speaker 8 (12:43):
He goes, better to wear some fresh Jordans.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
Then you come to Nike Town, USA.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Oh you know, I already got mine, already bought my
new Patinas their patina. Og wants wait till you see him.
But Gunner, before you go on, please bring friends. Let's
have fun. Yeah, I guess when the I guess someone.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Nice?

Speaker 2 (13:00):
If someone someone goes, when's when's the happy hour over?
And I'm like, just like us the happy Then you
don't know me because if I'm in Eugene for a night,
I'm going to show up to the airport pretty uh
pretty pretty wrecked.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
On red morning, raging, eight pm karaoke, out of control.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Rich is the happiest guy you ever met.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
So, dude, eugen airport so small, doesn't even matter.

Speaker 7 (13:21):
You're not gonna miss anything.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
So you can go.

Speaker 7 (13:23):
Altmate it in the morning.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
It doesn't even matter. Excited Yeah, so, hey, like you understand,
I just want to weigh in on the topic.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
You got to totally read the room.

Speaker 7 (13:32):
Just you know, if it's if it's a great time,
everybody's having a good time. Take advantage of it, you know,
rub some rub some shoulders, take picks, have a great time.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
You know, when you see this, I'll give you an example,
Cavino and I. He's right, though, you got to read
the room. And some people are better at it, are
better at it than others. So I get where the
question comes from. Not everybody reads it right. Anytime you're
invited somewhere, And I'm not saying and this doesn't just
apply to us, whether it's through work or something. I'm
sure everyone's been to some event where you're in a

(14:02):
VIP or so or a dinner where you're.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Like, oh, look at the people at this dinner.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
You I was in a VIP one time with Vanilla Ice.
Do you have to We kicked it good one yo,
when you and I. Yeah, you and I went to
our Tensia. You and I went to Iheart's jingle Ball
out here in La Sure. And when you have access

(14:27):
like VIP areas, you have to remind yourself, like how
to how to act and if you are self aware,
you're fine.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
I think that's it. You're right.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Self awareness is so key. Was Rich's friend overstepping or
just having fun. At the Knicks game yesterday. He was
second row, which is rare, he's never been there. He
was there with someone, a client, and he got Billie
Eilish to FaceTime his kids. He was hanging out with
Tracy Morgan at.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
You there's one pick.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I'm gonna post it during the next friend Stiller and
he was hobnobbing with the best of them. And again,
it sounds obnoxious, but if you know your obnoxious creep factor,
you're self aware. I say, live it up. And again
that being said, we got lots to get to today.
You know, I'm gonna post it during the next break.
I got caught up chatting it up during that last

(15:17):
break because I'm a you're blab blabermouth blaber mouth. Like
every picture he is taking is one of Tracy Morgan,
Ben Stiller and Spike Lee like almost having their hands
in like go team, and he it's almost.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Like, my buddy's a culda get in there. That's funny.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Hey, obnoxious or taken in the moment or both. Let's
go to John to wrap this in Montana. We got
other stuff to get to.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
It's up, John, what's up? Thank you? Bub what's up?

Speaker 8 (15:45):
So I want to say that I've even pull over
the bulls. I mean, if it's just the first first time,
I mean you want to make sure that you're, you know,
taking in the moment. But I mean, when is the
next time you're gonna see all these these celebrities. I mean,
it's gonna be great for him in the moment that
you know it will be only time.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
And if you're a guy that loves to tell like
ridiculous stories like my friend does, this is this is
perfect right up?

Speaker 9 (16:08):
Now?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, Now I have a question before we get into
the other action pack greatness of the show, I have
a question you more excited about?

Speaker 1 (16:18):
You took a picture point to get Clyde Fraser's suit.
I'm eating. Have you seen the suit?

Speaker 2 (16:23):
That?

Speaker 1 (16:23):
To me, it's a pretty deaf suit. It's guys like
a child.

Speaker 10 (16:26):
He's like, uh Rudy Giuliani's kidd at the inauguration, like
waving in front of the camera.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Tell him to act like a grown up.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Oh that's so funny, fun Hey are you more excited
about Fury?

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Uhsick?

Speaker 2 (16:39):
This weekend heavyweight bout in Saudi Arabia, Tyson Fury Olexander
Usick I'm like, I'm oddly disappointed in you.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Let me finish my sentence.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Are you more excited about this big heavyweight bout yep
or this other heavyweight bout between Biden and Trump? They've
agreed bait on CNN June tenth, and they'll face off
again at September June twenty, June twenty seventh, and September tenth.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Which excites you more?

Speaker 2 (17:11):
That's a great question, I'll be honest. Fury versus U
sick or Biden versus Trump.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
It's a mess. Who's gonna have better derogatory nicknames?

Speaker 1 (17:19):
What's gonna be a better battle? Yeah? I was telling
I was telling Danny g earlier.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I said, Donald Trump, he's so trump in that he
accepted the invitation to the debate. But instead of just
saying like I'll be there, Trump should come out with
a robe in those gaudy, disgusting gold shoes that he
has and come for the knockout. He should come out
in the it's absolutely in those golden air. Trumps with

(17:43):
a robe on, and Joe Biden.

Speaker 10 (17:46):
What like tony soprano like he's ready for a fight.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Oh gotcha, I'm readying alright, let's let's do somebody. Somebody
wake up, sleepy Joe. It's time.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Let's do our Let's do our own DraftKings odds. Will
Donald Trump mock Biden not knowing where he's going while
he comes.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Out without a doubt.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
He's gonna yeah, he's not holding back on Twitter today,
on X He's not gonna hold back.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yeah, at this debate, guys.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Instead of just instead of just accepting, he's like, of
course I'll debate crooked Joe, the worst president of all time.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
He's I just can't believe it's happening.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
So yeah, I'd say I'm equally excited, to be honest,
because I was sort of shocked that not only are
we getting one debate in June, were getting another in September.
Let me tell you today, I don't want to downplay
the importance of the presidency in our country in the future,
but I'm not.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
But that's pretty exciting.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
But I will say, there's such a layer of this
that's entertainment for me, and I know it shouldn't be.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
But I know I know it shouldn't be.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
But when June twenty seven hits, I'm gonna be like, ooh, today,
I'm not gonna make I'm gonna make microwave popcorn.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Are you gonna are we gonna come over your house
and all watch or what?

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Honestly, it has fight it has fight night feel to it,
Like what is June twenty seven? What day is that?
That's probably you more excited for that? Or Tyson, Oh,
Tyson Jake Paul. I'm gonna go Tyson Jake Paul number one. Okay, Yeah,
and I'm embarrassed to say it. Trump bid In two
and then Usik Fury three, but Usik Fury this weekend,

(19:13):
Saudi Arabia two undefeated heavyweight champions.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
I think we've got some good battles coming up.

Speaker 9 (19:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
And by the way, June twenty seventh, by the way,
is a Thursday night.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Oh nice?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
So yeah, you could start the weekend a little early,
get some come over.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
I'll want to bring yeah, too fast, too furious.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Something to think about. It's gonna be just throwing that
out as show other big news today. It's almost seems
like it almost seems like unreal that it's the two
of them again. Again, we don't get political on the show,
but it does seem unreal that, like, really, I guess yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Then stay off of Facebook the following day.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
Good.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
That's a good idea, Danny, that's good advice.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
You know what it's like, this election is like a
team that that was like in a sixth seed in
the playoffs and they and we said, yeah, let's run
it back.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Really we're running it back, all I guess? So all right? Cool?

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Uh, let's go to our pal and yours damn buyer
for an update.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
What's up?

Ye, that's you as far as my Trump goes. We'll
get to some schedule information, but I do want to
talk about tonight's NFL schedule or NBA schedule. Caves Celtics
seven Eastern Calves likely again with our Donovan Mitchell.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
They're down three one in the series.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
It's like a sixteen point spread. Now, like they're pretty
much saying, like, all right, boss, then let's just move
along to the next round.

Speaker 11 (20:27):
But the later game, that's a game MAV's thunder nine
thirty Eastern time. That series tied up at two a pieces.
Game five moves back to Oklahoma City. Lakers given permission
to speak with multiple assistant coaches across the league. That's
according to ESPN, including the Celtics, Sam cassell Andi Miami
Heats assistant Chris Quinn.

having fun, having fun.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
That's the question.

Speaker 2 (21:41):

we are going to have Midweek major coming up all
the stuff Cavino just said, but I do want to
pose a question to the Fox Sports Radio Nation Dad poser.
And by the way, happy birthday Emmett Smith, NFL legend celebrating.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
A b day today. Happy birthday man.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Now, when you think of moments in sports history where
a beloved or hated, popular, unpopular athlete did something where
you never looked at them, the same.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Happened.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
And I bring this up because today May fifteenth is
the anniversary back in twenty sixteen, eight years ago. Feel
old jet geez twenty sixteens, eight years ago, eight years ago,
on this day, that's when Odoor punched Bautista in the face.

(22:43):
And I think a lot of people would say they
never really looked at Jose Bautista the same way Joey
bats like lost a little something.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
He looked at himself in the mirror the same way.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Ever again, because he wasn't the same guy, at least
from our standpoint. Ever, again, he went from Joey Batt's
in bats hitting bombs.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Dude had a scruff for days, like look.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
At this manly man hitting bombs with his mess scruff
to get exposed by rufe Nettldor would a punch to
the face that everybody saw overt tent over and over again.
I think, sucking out the confidence of him and his
bat and he was never.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
The same after that. That's how I know the story.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
That's how I remember it, so kind of like, I'll
give you another example that's similar. You could say he
came back, but I don't think Tyson was ever the
same after he got knocked out by Buster Douglas.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
I actually wrote down a different thing because I think
everyone loses. I was gonna say when he bit Evander
Holyfield's ear, I think it changes reputation. Maybe he lost
a little respect. Of course, since then he's redeemed himself.
We all love Mike Tyson now, but I'm talking about
that vicious fighter he once was. So again it's keen
sate Demio everybody, which again is the anniversary of ruf

(23:59):
NetTel Door's punched to the face and Bautista. I don't
think ever really recovered from that. He was embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
I thought you both were gonna say, Robin venturav because
I never looked at him the same.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Dude, That is what Ryan, did you know.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Big Mike runs his place.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Yeah, wait, mikeh you got to bring up Robin ort Oh, Mike, Yeah,
Robin Ventura. He hit that walk off single for the Mets.
He had a great career, but there was always a party.
That's like, Yo, Nolan Ryan woolfed his ass.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
I mean he gave him a knuckles and handled him.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Yeah, you know what, Danny g that's like right up
there with you know, I think that's number two to
roof Ned Bautista because he had a really stellar, nice,
solid career and that is one of the things you
think about the most. And it's sad because he always
came across as a really likable and nice dude. Like

(24:50):
I felt like that was against his character, against the
grain for him to charge them out on an old
ass Nolan Ryan in that way. But there's a backstory
to that. I mean, it's a great backstory. You know,
I'll give you the twenty second backstory. Robin Ventura was
instructed as a young rookie that, yo, if you get hit,
you need to charge a mound to represent our team.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
He didn't want to.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Nolan Ryan, earlier in his career, had someone charge the
mound against him and he was hesitant and was like, oh,
I should have been the aggressor. So Nolan Ryan's like,
if anyone ever charges me again, I'm gonna be the
guy that puts a whooping on.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Him because someone's running at you full speed.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
So Nol Ryan's like, I will I will be ready,
And Robin Ventura was hesitant.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
You could tell already. So that's why it ended up
the way it did.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
So the moments in sports and life where you never
saw them the same way. I have a bunch of
examples and would love to hear from you. We talked
about it last week when Lebron James said we're not
gonna win two, three, four, five, six seven. That made
him go from lovable kid from Akron that's going to
a different city to super villain of the NBA.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Not three, not full, not five.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Boy, I have an NFL one And this affected my
life in Olive Raider Nation about after Derek Carr broke
his leg, it's broke, it's broke.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
I thought you were gonna say. I think you're gonna
say John Cruden's emails that too.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
It's broke, it's broke, but it's broke.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Think about think about Derek Carr, though he was in
the MVP conversation in twenty sixteen, had a hell of
a season in pretty much a meaningless game at the
end of the year as they were headed to the playoffs,
broke that leg. Never fully came back, as you know
the guy you know.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Injuries are a big part of this conversation as far
as never being the same, never.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Never being the same.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
This Doney Baseball hurt his back, was never the same player.
There's a show of ones he once was. There's a
great example that's been on all of our teams except yours,
and that is a guy that I loved him when
he was a Met Danny. He wasn't a Dodger long
enough for you to care. Four Noah Cindergard was in

(26:58):
a Donnis six foot six, long, blonde hair, New York
City loved them and it just you know, arm injury
took him from throwing one hundred and everyone's like four
lightning bolts social media.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
He was funny. He was dating supermodels and then he couldn't.

Speaker 11 (27:15):
Is Eri was in like the eights, you guys bring
up baseball and a former met but long ago when
Nolan Ryan punched Robin Ventura. Oh v Tura was thought
of as the wonder kid coming up the college hitting streak,
the young talent, and then you charged them out and
then get beat up and that never that he was

(27:37):
never the same Robin Ventura after that.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
I remember having his traded cards.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Remember when they used to have traded sets, tops traded set,
the Robin Ventora rookie. All right, let's go to Tony
in Oregon. Hope to see you Friday, buddy boy, what's
going on?

Speaker 12 (27:54):
Hey, chick my call. As soon as you guys said that,
the first person I popped in my head Michael Jackson's
being almost fifty. You know, that guy went from being
the coolest thing since plice bread to being not cool
to being back cool again. And both my kids danced,
and so I'm like, hey, this is the guy you know?
And then I was like, hey, this is not the
guy I pressed on the HQO. You know special if

(28:17):
those guys coming kind of coming forward and.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Yeah, depending on what you believe, it's hard to look
at that guy that say again for sure, I mean
he made it hard on us to look at him
the same because he looked different all the time. I mean,
how do you watch Space Jam and saying, I believe
I could fly without thinking of R.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Kelly doing some weird stuff.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
By the way, the guy who wrote that movie recently
got in a little trouble. Yeah, oh boy, might make
you look at that movie a little different. Hey, you
brought up the Mets, You brought up Thor dan Byer
brought up Ventura.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
This was always a funny story to me, and I
believe it to be true, even though maybe stats prove otherwise.
But I believe that the Dark Knight himself Matt Harvey,
who went from like the most dominant picture for the Mets.
Everyone I was super pumped about Friday Nights. There were
chance like Harvey's better when Strasbourg would pitch Yeah, the

(29:08):
Dark Knight. He had a nickname. Everyone was wearing Batman masks.
He was dating Victoria's Secrets model Adriana Lima, and I
remember they went through a public breakup and he was
like crying about it to the media, and ever he
kept to start, he skipped to start because of it.
I'm not sure he ever like really recovered from that,

(29:29):
because you went from ultra dominant to getting in his
own way. And I'm sure injuries played a part in it,
but it all seemed to start around that time.

Speaker 8 (29:38):
Yea.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
You know, because that reput then you're like he missed
the start because of that, and then you sort of
like never looked at him the same way and he
didn't ever really perform the same way.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
That dude had so much promise. Let's say, what's up
to Wayne in Virginia?

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Wayne were in the same sports entertainment anything where where
one thing happened, Then you're like, I don't look at
him in the same way.

Speaker 9 (30:00):
More so going on fellas could be no rich and
going on big up to my boy Danny z Silver and.

Speaker 8 (30:05):
Place for every baby.

Speaker 9 (30:06):
Oh yeah, Draymond green Fellers. When he started stumping on
dongs and the Warriors lost the championship, I lost all
respects for that man. Not only did he show no
remorse after doing so look at him like fast forwards,
choking guys out, you know, and just doing all kind
of cray stuff. I just can't look at him the same.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Yeah, And you know, you could say that it's a
little unfair, but they're the ones that that did a
lot of this. They made us feel this way. We
didn't do anything. You want to like Draymond Green, but yeah,
you know I agree with him. I started looking at
him a little dirty after a while. Yeah, as far
as you know as a player, he may be the
greatest guy going, but definitely changed my perception.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Mike in Florida. What's up, Bud?

Speaker 7 (30:46):
Hey, how's it going?

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (30:48):
We're good?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
What do you I didn't sucker punch anybody? What what
comes to mind for you?

Speaker 5 (30:52):
Bud a rod?

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Oh? Good one?

Speaker 2 (30:55):
What when he lied give me the give me the
when he kissed himself in the mirror a moment?

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Who was it?

Speaker 7 (31:00):
It was the allegations of the steroids?

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Or what about?

Speaker 9 (31:05):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (31:05):
What about when he tried to slap the ball out
of the Red Sox glove at first face?

Speaker 9 (31:09):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Bronson Arroya Rich you're wearing Cardinals colors right now? How
about when players get the yips and they're never the same?

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Think of Rick Ankiel, Rick and Keel Chuck nablock chuck
nob block.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
The jeas went through it.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Dontrell Willis, Don Trell Willis, remember, couldn't find the strike zone?
He was a saw young candidate.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
A year later, couldn't find couldn't find the strikes on,
Steve Sacks tells a really heartfelt story about how his
dad was his hero, right, his dad was his hero,
and when he was going through it, his dad said, hey, listen, Steve,
I went through this too, and here's what you gotta do,
and you just got to get over it. And when

(31:48):
he found out that his dad, his hero, went through
the same thing, he felt better about it and he
eventually got out of that mental funk because he was like, well,
if my dad went through this and he's my hero,
I'll just follow his advice.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
And it worked.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Only to find out after his dad died that his
dad never went through it, he just did it. That's
so sweet to sort of make it an okay thing
for his son to work out of. You know what,
a lot of people take it away from sports for
a second. If you have friends that went through a
pretty bad breakup or divorce, like they may not they
may not, you may not see them approach love the
same way.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
I know that sounds silly, but she took my soul.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
I think that's a good one, man, because it makes
you a little bitter.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Yeah, like you like, you may love again, but you'll
be a little a little good, little distant. Yeah, I
tell you what.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
On a serious note, again, I don't want to be
all serious, but I had a buddy that was in Afghanistan.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
He came back and she's not the same dude.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
And now you know, things happen in life that will
make you never the same. And I got the number
one answer in the sports world. But let's go to
Ramsey in New York City.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
First. What's up Ramsey?

Speaker 7 (32:57):
Yo?

Speaker 8 (32:57):
What's up?

Speaker 9 (32:57):
Guy?

Speaker 7 (32:58):
Just getting off.

Speaker 9 (33:01):
After he thought a large morning in the garden.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
It was a wrap his hair.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yeah, when he was holding onto his wildless dude, his
hair's all flought around, so embarrassed. On a side note,
you know that's a that made you think less of
him or like a week you know, it made me
think someone's cooler. When Bobby Valentine had the fake mustache. Oh,
I think you're saying, when Marv Albert was biting asteraks.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Yes, yes, that did make me.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
That did make me think a little different him, like,
oh Marv, huh. But the number one answer on the
board when you're like, wow, my opinion changed. Now he
had been known behind the scenes to be and again,
hold on, this wasn't like a matter of your opinion change.
This is a matter of they were really never the
same again. That's really where this conversation started because Jose

(33:54):
Bautista in our opinion and it seemed to be that's
where it was never the same again. He was never
that dominant bat flipping guy again. Now he may have
had a few moments afterward, but he wasn't the same
dude after we learned more that like, oh, he had
been a little shady.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Until this moment.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Everyone loved him and then all of a sudden, there's
a chase on the four oh five and the one
oh one. Oh J Simpson, Hey, twinter World, Oh J,
that's probably answer the most beloved guy. Oh yeah, number
two Bautista, number three, Robin Ventor, you know, Wes and
Vegas hit us up, thanks for listening. In the Vegas

(34:34):
affiliate I Love Vegas. He gave an example that Danny
g and Dan Bayer both have a little mental stake in,
and that is when bo Jackson ran over the boss
and no one, I know you could say, oh, he
didn't have a good angle on it, but he didn't rich,

(34:57):
you know, like d you know how many kids hit
their wizard Boz poster down that day garbage, I know,
but he didn't have the best angle. I think it
was BS two. But he did leverage.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
I mean, what can he do.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
But I agree with you, I don't think it was
a fair call. It's like someone gets dunked. I'll stop
getting a flat top that that week. Don't cover for
that steroid freak. You know what you ever see when
someone gets dunked on and it's a bad angle and
you're like, oh, they shouldn't be humiliated.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
They never had the right angle. And then meanwhile they're
poster on, they're on a.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
You know there's that uh, there's that famous John Starks
poster every New York kid had.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Did he really dun't over Jordan?

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:34):
I guess he did.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
All right, Uh, let's go to Chris and Vegas. But
first I was Sam has Well, what he got? I
was Sam Well? Okay, a couple of things.

Speaker 13 (35:41):
I don't want to flush his career because he's still
playing and he has had injury issues. But off the field,
Deshaun Watson and the massage stuff, we look at him
differently because of all that stuff that came out true.
You know, he had a lot of he still has
a lot of I think he still has a lot
of promise. But when he was winning games with Houston,
We're like, this guy is one of the best in
the league. And then that all that civil like lawsuit stuff.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
It's his story's not written, but he hasn't been the
same written. Listen, I was saying, I want them to
be very clear because I feel like you always had
to be very clear because people twist your words, not you.
I'm saying in general, I'm not saying what he did
was fine, but he didn't murder someone. He didn't you know,

(36:23):
he wasn't abusing people like Deshaun Watson. He could turn
around the narrative. I think, like, you know, like it
would be crazy to be like, I've never heard of
a guy getting a happy anything massage like it happens.
It's wrong, it's not good. But I'm just saying, like
Deshaun Watson could change his narrative. Michael Vick with the dogs.
People are animal lovers that guy like. To this day,
there's still people that are like.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
I will never like Michael Vick.

Speaker 11 (36:45):
But there were women that were not doing it on
their own choice.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Is that wats Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Okay, Well he hasn't been the same since injuries had
played into that as well. But hey, but he seemed
likable and then all of a sudden, you hear those
stories and Deshaun Watson's like, ooh oh, lots of people
calling up for this man.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
I appreciate it. Is a great topic.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Chris in Vegas, that one moment that changes your perception.
We bring it up because it's the anniversary of Odoor
punching Blautista in the face, and I feel like we
never looked at Joey Batts the same way.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
Hey, first time caller.

Speaker 7 (37:23):
I would like to say, probably.

Speaker 9 (37:24):
Nick Anderson missing those free throws, getting the rebound and
missing two more free throws. I don't think his career
is never the same after.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
That, missing a big moment.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
It's it sucks when you're defined by these moments, you know, Yeah,
this does great. Buckner's probably the poster face, the poster
guy for that. His whole career is defined by a moment. Yeah,
Chris Weber was a you know, a great player in
college and the pros. But that time out from Michigan
when they didn't have timeouts, Like that's like the image
you have of him, and it sort of sucks because.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
I think the only way to recover.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Yes, I have a bigger moment is to have a
bigger moment and come out on top.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Bruno in New York. What's that, Bruno.

Speaker 7 (38:03):
Jonalan, Good afternoon, another great show as usual. We we
love you. And by the way, man, we're all pumped.
I now I've got friends, are going to make out, Eugene.
I'm hoping to get the tempty. But that being said, nice,
thank you man. No, We're we're digging it because I
know you guys put out a good time when you're
out there too. Real quick, I'll make it. Waite Bogs okay,

(38:26):
Scott Norwood. I mean, obviously their lives are not their
careers aren't only the owner but over but they were
they were done in life. I mean they basically they were.
They were they were ostracized by the community.

Speaker 9 (38:36):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
What did Wade Bogs do? He just got a new hair.
I thought Wade Bogs.

Speaker 7 (38:41):
Wa Bog No, no, no, no, I missed that.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Nor would definitely.

Speaker 7 (38:49):
Okay man, No, I blew that. I was thinking about
the Boston Red Sox third base.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Between his legs in the first base, Yeah, Buckner.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Yeah, How's like, hey, look, wait Boggs cried on a
horse at Yankee stage.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Say no, that was a little bit dramatic, But I
don't hate him. Say do you hate wait bogs his
hair piece that much?

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Know what?

Speaker 3 (39:10):
Norwood is a really good answer, except he actually had
a good career. Yeah, you know, it's just that people
remember that one big moment.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
That's what I said, like just being defined, but one
band moment is almost not fair. Well yeah, I mean,
like if you want to baptiste the thing, I don't
think he ever recovered. That's the difference. I'm not excuse.
I'm not excusing like a whole behavior. But if you
watch that show. I know you did Morning Show on
Apple TV, Danny, you watched it really good. Steve Carell's character,

(39:38):
you know, remember when he was like getting old mad.
He's like, I had a career for this many years,
and I'm defined by this. Like you know, sometimes you
make a bad mistake and you are defined by.

Speaker 11 (39:47):
It sometimes, you know, when you're talking about Scott Norwood
and uh, that's a forty six yard field goal right
by the way, he wasn't bat flipping like Jose Bautista
was when he's making these kicks, he's not doing crotch
chops to the other team. He's just going out there
doing his job. Well Bautistas, you know, batflip and everything,

(40:07):
and then when push comes to shove, he gets popped
in the you know.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Batisa was like the loud got the club that Yo
got you? Yeah got you. Absolutely Yeah. That's what made
it such a memorable thing. I mean, that's a meme
that lives on. And it went from man, look at
that bat flip to look at this guy getting punched
in the face. Oh yeah, let's go Covino and Rich

(40:33):
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
We're gonna get to midweek major in a second. Right now,
how about right now?

Speaker 2 (40:41):
Yo, Roger, James, Brandon, Jimmy, you can wait, Sean, Joe, everyone,
hang on. We'll go rapid fire. But let's let's Spot
get his shine once.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
Covino and Rich get you over the middle of the
week when mid Week Major, Oh I love that sports
and pop culture headlines and topics at the Fellas and
it's like the kids say.

Speaker 7 (41:06):
That's summit.

Speaker 8 (41:07):
We definitely major.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
Seeing our score Midweek Major.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
Oh raymixed, because we want Spot to have even more
time today.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
No, I don't mean that much time, just a little
bit more.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
Suddenly too much pressure on him?

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Suddenly. All right, when you hear the horns, you know
you've made it to the middle of the week. The
guys are gonna see who gets first take right now, Well,
bro twelve, I might as well try to match him
Big Red.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Love Dice in the main studio. It would be amazing
and rich roll the six part six o.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
O oouch all right, I mean six Coveno gets to
go first. Hell you in now, ladies and gentlemen, the
most famous person from Scotch Plains.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
New Jersey. That's inside Judy Bloom, spotty boy.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
How are you guys?

Speaker 9 (41:56):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (41:57):
What do I do with all this time? Who knows?
I'm gonna quick?

Speaker 4 (42:00):
We have a lot of callers.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Okay, stop it, all right.

Speaker 10 (42:02):
Tom Brady has shared some of his thoughts on his
most recent Netflix roast, where people went hard at him
and his family, his life, all that kind of stuff.
While appearing on the Pivot podcast, Brady actually said he
regrets doing the roast based on how some of the
jokes affected his kids. He addressed He addressed the bittersweet
aspect when you do something like that, you all of

(42:24):
a sudden realize you wouldn't do it again because the
way it affected the people you most care about. So
but he did go on to say, if we're not
laughing about things, then we're crying. So he did see
some of the positive. It was just very upset and
said he would never do it again. So I do
wonder if this will affect any other people that may
have thought about doing a roast.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
So midweek Er major.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
This is major because it could affect other people and
anything that involves Tom Brady as major.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
We all watched it. It was great.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
This puts a little bit of a tarnish on it, like,
hey man, that's kind of weak.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
But how is he the last to know?

Speaker 4 (42:58):
What is he?

Speaker 2 (42:58):
Britney spears, I'm Brady. He's the last to know that
it could affect his kids. What kid wants to hear
that his mom cheated on their dad with the jiu
jitsu instructor give me a break, Like, how did he
not know that was a possibility.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
When you're Tom Brady, you don't have that many things
to make fun of.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Of course they were gonna dig on your divorce, so
he should have known better man. I think it's sort
of puts a little bit of a.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
I don't know, a little bit of a damper. There
you go, Danny g on a good time.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
I was so watching him find that word. I'd listen,
this is weak because you don't sign up for something.
And then that shocked at like, whoa, they could have affected.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
People in my life. Danny. If I say we're gonna
roast you, no holes barred, you don't think you would
crush your mind? Like, oh maybe would my wife Brenda think?

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Or you know, Cola when he gets older, he'll see
this like you wantn't think of those things?

Speaker 3 (43:58):
And getting paid millions upon millions of dollars. I would
buy Koa some new shoes.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
Let me tell you tell them the second Rich and
I agree here he's just taking a week angle.

Speaker 10 (44:06):
We actually agree. I think it's major because it's Tom Brady.
By the way, your roast is in December, Danny, start walking. Yeah,
I'll throw one more thing in there.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Nick Nicki Laser had reached out to Kim Kardashian and
she was like, I don't know how you do this.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
It's torture.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
It's like wrong, like so yeah, like it's not for
the weak, carded the roast.

Speaker 1 (44:26):
Oh onto me, all right.

Speaker 10 (44:28):
Jokic finally received his third MVB trophy last night from
Adam Silver after the Wolves beat the I'm sorry. After
the Nuggets beat the Wolves one twelve to ninety seven
last night. When asked about the honor, he responded in
the most Yokic way possible. He said, you know, I'm
grateful to get another MVP, but for me, it's just basketball.

(44:48):
I just don't know why other players cry when they
get this trophy. What I do is I end up
giving it to my horses to play with. That brings
me joy. So he uses the trophies as I was, like,
play twice toys for his horses midweek.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
I think that's weak.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Like we say, for players like SGA, other players, it
would mean so much to get this honor. This guy
lets his stupid horses play with it. That's really weak.
It's sort of diminishing the honor in my opinion. And
I get it. That's what makes him charming in a
lot of ways, and winning is everything to this dude.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
But we also talked.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
About how you got to show a little emotion man,
at least fake the funk a little bit that it's
a mid story. We knew this about him already. Let's
horses play.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
With it that I get met with my I get
met with my dog.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Choose on one of my kids stuffed animals. But imagine
this is an MVP trophy.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
I love your dog, Rich Piper Wafers loves you too.
I got to see Pipers. Why don't you marry you?
I might say, allowed it? Piper Waffles?

Speaker 4 (45:43):
All right.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
I feel like we touched on this earlier.

Speaker 10 (45:45):
But for those of you that are a fan of
the preseason action on HBO Hard Knocks, this year's focus
has been announced and they're staying in New York with
the New York Giants.

Speaker 9 (45:54):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
They announced they've.

Speaker 10 (45:55):
Already been following the team for the upcoming season starting
back in January, which will allow to feature the combine
the draft mini camps. Also a monumental year for the Giants.
This is their one hundredth season. So Hard Knocks off
season with the New York Giants will debut July second
on HBO Midweek or Major.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
I think it should be major, but it's a mid story.
It's a major because it's a great show. It's preseason.
You're seeing the build up heading into their one hundred season,
like you said, but no one really cares about the
Giants that much, therefore making it mid It's.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
New York, we should care, but we don't.

Speaker 10 (46:28):
Everyone cares about Uh, tomby Devido anymore.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Yeah, Tommy Toto's making chicken cut it's on the Jersey
turnpikee Uh. This story is so weak because of all
thirty two teams in the National Football League, Giants might
be in the top five of teams I couldn't care
less about. Malik Neighbors might be a fun story, but
Daniel Jones trying to live up to the hype, like.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
And he's just a boring guy. Yeah, I don't know.
I don't find any exact amount of At least I
thought he had a lot of promise, but he's just
a boring dude.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
Yeah, maybe the coaches will bring a little fun. I
don't know, so I think we could, But then again,
there's criteria.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
So Darren waller saga might be interesting.

Speaker 1 (47:03):
Darren Waller might bring some joy and some Elex drama.
Like you said, I'm not that intrigued, all right, Well.

Speaker 10 (47:09):
Heart last year's Hard Knock star Aaron Rodgers did a
two hour plus sit down on Twitter slash x with
Tucker Carlson where he discussed many things. Among those things
a revelation that he does not watch porn, and the
reason is even better. He believes that porn sites could
put something on your computer and try and cancel you.

(47:31):
He thinks they like try and set you up for something.
He says he's never been into any weird kinky stuff,
so he doesn't watch porn. And even Carlson was like, Oh, yeah,
they put stuff on there and they monitor you. What really,
conversation Damn, I'm gonna get canceled quick then, you know,
in that case, let's enjoy the show.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Oh we can, right. I think this is major because
what if Aaron Rodgers is not to something.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
You know, we've heard those rumors that certain sites have
the ability to record.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
You and your tendency is and.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Watch it put a post it over your camera. That
sounds like the weakest Black Mirror episode ever. We gotta
scam email here recently where they're like they sent it
out to probably a bunch of people, but they're like,
we have video of you on a kinky website and
we have it.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Know that was real, Sam, No, it wasn't. Yeah, I
didn't get I gonna find my face? Did you guys
get that? I didn't know came to work here.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
It's also a major confession, like he doesn't watch porn.

Speaker 1 (48:30):
That's maybe a while too. Maybe he just has DVDs
at home. Yeah, or VH has a big puffy boxes.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
Yeah, that's I'm not saying, Hey, everybody, you watch it's
great for your soul.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
But I find that interesting that he says he doesn't.
What's this.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
I have a thumbnail and it's I would say, I'm
just in a Caitlin Clark jersey.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
That's kinky thoughts. I think that's Uh.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
I think that's major because I think the reason is wild. Yeah,
I back you up everything you said. I'm gonna go
We're we're on the same pitch, well more spotty.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
Uh yeah, do you want to go controversial? Yes? I know,
I know you love the story.

Speaker 10 (49:07):
Right, Kansas City Chiefs star kicker Harrison is it it's
Harrison Bucker yeaheah right. Harrison Buker as catching heat for
his recent commencement speech at Benedictine College. His speech apparently
included negative comments about women. Well, he basically said they
should belong in the kitchen the LGBTQ plus whatever community
and criticized Biden on his abortion policies. Even worse, he

(49:30):
activated the Swifties. He put up the Swifties signal by
quoting one of Taylor Swift's songs, Bejeweled. He didn't call
her out by name, but he said as my teammate's
girlfriend says.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
So social media.

Speaker 10 (49:41):
Had a field day, basically saying, who's going to tell
Bucker you can't quote Taylor Swift when you're being a
misogynist d head.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
So yeah, pissed off a lot of people. Midwik are major. Man, first,
I'm hearing of this. I think it could be major
when you involve.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
The Swifties and you're.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Sort of quote, like he said his teammates girlfriend in
a terrible speech that might ruffle some Ridges.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
Like, hey, dude, you could have your views believe my
girlfriend out of this, right.

Speaker 10 (50:09):
Yeah, as a well known conservative god, I was gonna say,
this is a mid story and I'll tell you why.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
We live in a world now where you might not
agree with Harrison Bucker's stance, but it doesn't make you like,
does it make him a terrible human. No, that's a problem, right,
Republicans and Democrats think the other people are so crazy.
We're more like than you think. I just think quoting
like if I was giving a controversial speech, I want
to be like and as my buddy Spot's wife says, like,

(50:33):
just you know, like says yeah. So I say it's
it's pretty mid because let the guy have his beliefs.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
You're allowed to have your own beliefs.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
Right, Yeah, interesting, interesting story though. All right, let's go
to uh, thanks.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Guys and yours. I got to all my stories today. Yes,
damn bayer h guys.

Speaker 11 (50:51):
The story between the Caves and Celtics could end tonight
in Boston.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
It's Game five. Celtics are up threety one.

Speaker 11 (50:56):
The Calves are going to be shorthanded, Donovan Mitchell has
been ruled out are also playing without Caris Lavert and
Jared Allen. Tonight tip off coming up at the top
of the hour. Now Game five to tween the Mavericks
and Thunders at nine thirty Eastern time. That series is
tied up at two apiece. NFL schedule released tonight. Leaks
throughout the day gave us a bunch of matchups, including

(51:16):
on Christmas Day, which is on a Wednesday. This year,
it'll have two games exclusively streamed on Netflix. There'll be
the Chiefs at Steelers, Ravens at the Texans. More Holiday
News Black Friday as the Raiders at the Chiefs, while
on Thanksgiving Day, Giants will be in Dallas against the Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (51:33):
That's according to the New York Post.

Speaker 11 (51:34):
The Athletics says that's Dolphins and Packers on Thanksgiving Night
