Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's not that big.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I do have a big backpack, A little sore on
the backs of the little his dude's backpack.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
You've seen it right.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
We posted a clip today from our last trip in
Oregon Graduate Hotels. It's ridiculous. You can fit his whole
family in that backpack.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
My son's here.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
I think he's smuggling his dog and his kid from
trip to trip.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
It's ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
But if you haven't seen it, we posted a clip
today at Covino and Rich. Rich has the most giant
backpack you've ever seen for a guy who's traveling for
what fourteen hours?
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, at the march. Like, it's not he's.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Going camping or anything.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
He's not going on a hike. He's here in Tempe.
But your back's all right, I'm good, I'm good to go.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
All right.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Well, when I got to the hotels, you know, I
have noticed about Graduate they really are so different for
every city.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Right. We come in here, like, wow, what an Arizona vibe.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
This is really cool. We checked into our rooms. Everyone's
so nice to us and everything. We got our Graduate
Hotels hats. I get inside and I use something in
the room that I haven't used in like five to
ten years.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Can I guess?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, the ironing board, yes for real?
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, yeah no, Because I was like, you know, I
had bacon neck on my T shirt.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
It was like, you know, you roin your clothes in
the water, do you use it?
Speaker 3 (03:15):
You just hanging in the shower with hot water off
for like five minutes.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
I don't know that trick.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
You and the only guy that and that knows that
I do that too. But I saw the ironing board
right there. I saw the iron. I'm like, you know what,
I'm doing it old school.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I ironed my jeans.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
But you remember on a flashback Friday, your mom would
do the crease down the middle. You remember that you
rock like Sunset John crease right down the middle of
your jeans.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Your mom ironed. My mom never really your parents iron.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yes, yeah, my grandma yo, dude. My fami's little more
old school too. I would see my grandma ironing. My
uncle Joey's like police uniform every night, swear to God
like everybody. So I saw the iron, I was like,
you know what, I'm gonna give it a go. It's
sort of an antique. I don't know many people that
still use it. Do you use an iron?
Speaker 1 (03:58):
I think I have one, but no, I have one.
I don't use it.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Danny g u Yeah, oh you used your gene organ
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
I had a shirt, a Raider shirt that.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Somebody said, no dude, you know the one that.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
Your charger friends said. I like the blue charger color. Yeah,
that was a nice one, I wrote back. I said, no,
it's because the Raiders own your charge.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
No, that's true. Yeah, the blue colors.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
But I had to iron that and carefully around the
Raider insignia.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
It just felt so weird because I hadn't done it
in so long. So anyway, I'm looking nice and crispy.
Thank you guys, thank you. I got everyone noticed. Everyone
said a lot of college shirt. Look at the collar
bro on that T shirt. I was like, yeah, man,
I ironed for the first time in ten years. But anyway,
thank you, Thank you, Graduate hotels man, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Now I want to start with Kaitlyn Clark. But you
brought it up, and it's a big story, dude. Well,
if you don't know, we're talking to the story of
the day. It's a story of the day because Angel
Reese tweeted its head. She tweeted some stuff she did.
But let's start out in the beginning. And by the way,
I was Sam is a huge Kaitlyn Clark fan, so
much so that he skipped this trip. No joke because
(05:11):
Kaitlyn Clark, she's playing tonight. I guess in Los Angeles.
Speaker 7 (05:14):
This is true I will be there.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
You feel like you made the right choice.
Speaker 8 (05:18):
I think so. I think they're gonna get their first
win tonight. They're a slight favorite in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
It wasn't an easy choice. I'm sure he wanted to
wish to hear a party with.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
The people and you know, come for the fun. But
he had a prior engagement. That's the thing too. It
was a prior commitment that he made. But did he
make the right choice. We'll have to We'll see how
it goes to that. Yeah, yeah, we'll see. But yeah, look,
this all started with Lebron on his podcast with JJ
Reddick and Lebron said, Yo, he was dropping f bombs.
(05:48):
He was being you know, censored Lebron podcast Lebron, and
he said, don't get it twisted. Kaitlyn Clark is the
reason a lot of good things are going to happen
in the WNBA.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Take a listen to Lebron.
Speaker 9 (06:00):
The one thing that I love that she's bringing to
her sport. More people want to watch, more people want
to tune in. Don't get it twisted, don't get it done.
Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great
things is going to happen for the WNBA, but for
her individually. I don't think she should get involved though
nothing that's being said. Just go have fun, enjoy, you know.
(06:23):
But I'm rude for Kaitlin because I've been in that
seat before, I've walked that road before. I hope they
I hope she kills I hopefull Yah Boston does amazing,
you know, I hope they do great.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Makes it all about him. I've been in that seat now,
but Lebron he has, but he hasn't.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
You know, he had that pressure of Lebron and those
expectations and you know, the media following every movie made,
but he didn't have an entire.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
League sort of on his shoulders.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
I feel like the NBA was fine before exactly, and
we'll be fine after him.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
But I disagree with something he said, and I'll explain
what that is.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
But let's also hear from Sir Charles Barkley, who had
words about Kaitlyn Clark.
Speaker 10 (07:02):
You women out there, y'all, Penny man, Hey, Lebron, you
one hundred percent right on these girls hating on Caitland Clark.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Y'all petty girls.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
I'spect being to be.
Speaker 10 (07:14):
Petty because we're the most insecure group in the world.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
You are y'all should be thinking that.
Speaker 10 (07:18):
Girl forgetting y'all ass private charters, all the money and
Ben's a village she bringing to the Jemmy NBA.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Don't be penny like dudes.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Listen what she's accomplished, y'all.
Speaker 11 (07:30):
Flowers, dot Bean, petty, all you women out there.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
She got y'all ass shot us.
Speaker 11 (07:35):
She bringing all y'all is money to the table for
y'all being penny like dudes. Lebron, you one hundred percent right,
y'all girls, stop fan petty Kaylen Clark. They keep for
bringing all that money and shine.
Speaker 10 (07:49):
To the dump NBA, Well, they gonna hate you even more.
Hat Listen, they can't do anything to me. They're gonna
hate you to Hey, they can't. They can't hate on me.
That's what that male man better be at my damn house.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Year another year.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Now.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
That's where I disagree with Barkley and Lebron James. Let's
hear it, because I think the minute Angel Reese and
other women stop chirping a Kaitlyn Clark, nobody will care.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
You need that drama.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Why do we love the NCAA Women's Tournament the competition,
Angel Reese, the games matter. Caitlyn Clark, undefeated, South Carolina
Yukon had some names we knew. I think you need
that if you don't have people talking smack and competition
and rivalries.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
If Larry Bird and Magic.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Johnson didn't dislike each other and that wasn't going down
in the early eighties, would that have turned into what
it was?
Speaker 9 (08:42):
No?
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Look, drama helps.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
But we can't deny that Caitlyn Clark is bringing so
many eyes to the WNBA. So Angel Reese probably saying, yo,
She's not the only one that matters here. I'm pretty
popular too. I'm packing stadiums now arenas, now and you know,
maybe I deserve this charter. So she goes to social
media and says after a win, and that's on getting
(09:05):
a win in all caps in a packed area.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
I think she met Arina right.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Not just because of one player on our charter flight
little kissy face, hashtag Skytown and a lot of people
are saying that was a diss at Caitlyn Clark. It
can also be just a shot at the media too,
because the media sort of creates this narrative that it's
all about Caitlyn Clark when there's a lot of young stars.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
But I will argue that we only know a lot
of these young.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Stars because of Caitlyn Clark, So not that they're not good,
and they might even be better and surpass her and
become more of a household name in the future, but
right now, it's all about her and they should be
thankful and grateful.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
It doesn't matter. Does it matter to you.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
If people are listening to Fox Sports Radio because Colin
Kowen heards on Fox Sports Radio. You just glad that
people are listening to Fox Sports people.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Listen that that's the point when people say, hey, I
listen to Colin or Dan Patrick and I failed you guys,
that's a couple of men.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
I don't. I don't.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I I'm fine with anything else would be petty, right,
And we're not comparing.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Ourselves or our show to them.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
But it's like, hey, man, whatever brings you here is
great for me. And that's what Charles Barkley is saying.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
But she'd be doing.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
But if there's no drama and no bickering and the
cat fights and arguing, then will you lose interest? I
say absolutely, they're zero to five. They can't no she's
on a terrible team. I think I've already lost interest.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
You because you're a pea brain and because you're you
have no attention.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
I think I speak a lot of people. I think,
I think I think everybody.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
He might not be tuning in every night because you know,
you just never really watch the w NBA. But there's
more interest, for sure. And and the proof is inning
is in the uh, the attendance. And every night when
I'm watching call me old School Sports Center, I'm waiting
to see the highlights. And I know I can see
him online, yes, or I'll see on social media, yes.
(11:01):
And you know I don't follow women's basketball that much,
but I'm I'm intrigued.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
So if I'm intrigued.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
And I'm a pee brain, too rich, then I imagine
I can't be the only one.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Well, I'm thinking anyone that's ever been and listen, it's
a ridiculous comparison, but anyone that really was important to
the game they played, whether it was Jackie Robinson breaking
the color barrier in baseball. If you're if you're influential
in your sport, whether it's racial, women's sports versus men, anything,
you got to take the heat So if people have
said it's too much for Caitlin Clark, how that's ridiculous.
(11:32):
She should welcome this. The feuds are good, the rivalries
are good. It will get you interested. Otherwise, I promise you,
no one will care. I said this a week ago.
I said mid June or July. If the Indiana fever
are like three and fifteen because they're bad, are you
gonna really care?
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Yeah, because she's still the target. She's still the main
person that people care about. That's why Angel Reese is
tweeting things like that, like, hey, we're here winning and
I'm pretty good too, and there's other really talented players
in the league.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
It's not all about her.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
But as they say, rising tides, right, rising times, vas
al ships or something like that, you know, And what
is it that get it.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Right, Chris? You get sick, het up a butcher's ass, something.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Like that, something like that. But again, is it really
a beef too? This is the other thing. This is
another question has posed based on all the drama today,
you know, and there's a different layer of drama to
our buddy Ian at Fox Sports Radio is talking about
how a lot of the players date one another within
the league, and that causes extra drama that we don't
(12:36):
normally see the w NBA players.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Yeah yeah, yeah, well that's right. I forgot a lot
of them. Yeah yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
But is it really beef? Is it really drama? Yeah yeah,
there's a whole other story about that. But is it
really beef and drama if it's one way? Like, do
you like the high road that Caitlin Clark is taking
here in.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
This situation that Lena in see riches saying she needs
to lean in? And by the way, I think I
think it's you know, you know, my stance. I've made
it very clear.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Because Angel Reese is, you know, tweeting at her, she's
talking about her. You never really hear Caitlyn Clark talking
or coming at the other players. So is she playing
it right or should she lean into it? Is it
really a beef if it's one sided? Or is that
just straight up hate in that case? And that's what
it is for really no good reason at all.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
What is she doing?
Speaker 2 (13:25):
She's not doing anything. So that's the story today. Lebron
sort of started the drama. Charles Barkley added fuel, add
a little fuel to it, Angel Reese, some of the
other players, She's not the only one. A lot of
players don't like it, right, A lot of veterans don't
like it. Kaitlyn Clark, keeps your mouth shut, and she's
continuing to play Iowa. Sam will tell you maybe they'll
(13:46):
get their first win tonight.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
You know, let me we have got Monzi today, right, yeah, yeah,
your thoughts on the w NBA, the state this.
Speaker 8 (13:57):
She's not what Moncey is a into suppose at the moment,
she isn't a toilet ANSI's.
Speaker 7 (14:04):
Preoccupied with work matters. She will be right back.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Well, you know what are update anchors.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
What they do is, you know, they do our updates
here on the show, but they're also compiling information and
doing other things as the shows for like all.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
The stations out of the country. Yeah, I think they
just sit there and listen to us. That's what I mean.
I wish it worked that way, but no, that's not
how it works. I'm just telling everybody else in case
they're wondering.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Well, I saw a meme. Now, I'm not trying to
be rude about this. You kind of are a little bit.
I saw a meme that I like your stance. Yeah,
I saw meme and uh, you know we get all
our information and meme form.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
It was just one of those like Facebook Instagram questions,
what's something you're convinced people are pretending to enjoy?
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Like caviar? Do you great answer? Do people really like that?
Speaker 2 (14:51):
It could be food, It might be so different that
a show.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
It could be a destination, it could be something. What
is something that you're convinced people are pretending to enjoy?
Because I think, how about any soon? All that seaweed
that Tyser eats? Oh what he makes his sweet shake,
his seaweed shaked.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
There's no way you like that. I love it.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Actually, that's not fair that you say.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
That saltwater shakes are not that taste.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
It's like he rode a bad wave at the ocean.
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
I'm saying I bring that up because this meme is
an interesting one because we all have things that were
like wow, everyone else likes that. I feel like we're
a couple months away from the WNBA re entering this
category like you're trying to force it.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
I think if you have a love of real love
for basketball, I think it's just an extra bonus that
you get to watch and now you know these characters.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Look, it's all about familiarity.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
I sort of hate the fact that you downplay boxing
and fights that I'm excited about all the time. And
the reason I'm excited about him because I'm invested in
those people and I know a little bit of something
about their come up and their path and who they are.
And you'll totally dump on something I'm excited about because
you're not familiar with those fighters.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
I'm like, dude, but I'm telling you it's gonna be
a good one.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
And we either you make me feel like an ass
because I'm caring about it and you don't. I feel
like because of Caitlin Clark, it's brought so much attention
to so many young players and even the veterans that
were coming at her that we become more familiar with
it and we've become a little more invested and that's
why it matters more. And that's why I slightly disagree
(16:26):
with you. I'm not tuning in every night, but I'm
not taking that angle you're taking. For sure, she's not
gonna make the playoffs, no, I know.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, that's so, then like postseason happens, you're gonna watch.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
Maybe based on the familiarity you have with these other
players courtesy of her. Yeah, I mean it's a it's
a slow build. There's more eyes than ever. So again
that's our take on that. But are there other examples
and other things that come to mind that people pretend
to like but there's no way.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
They really like it.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
And maybe you do it for your significant other, maybe
you do it to appease whoever's talking.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
About I'll give you one time. I'll give you one.
I don't know why.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
I know so many people love it, but I'm like,
are they really enjoying it? Horseback riding? Every time I go,
I've got maybe five times while I have the whole time,
like it just hurts your wavos, but I just it's painful.
I'm like this horse, I have no control. I'm like
people like this, so I don't believe. I don't believe it.
I actually got I stud I'm not trying to be
a contrarian. I actually do every time I've gone, maybe
(17:28):
like four times.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
In my life. Yes, I swear to you, I've enjoyed
every time. I get a little scared about it though,
because I'm like, I am not in control. This horse
is controlling me. I'm not controlling this horse. I feel like,
you know, out of control. And that's a frightening feeling.
But I usually have a great time.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
So you know what, we'll pass the mic around Graduate
hotel about it. We'll we'll take some phone calls at
eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Sort of going along with the w NBA.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
What are the things that you're convinced people pretend to
an joy.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
I'll give you.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
I'm gonna I'm putting the w n B A and
horseback riding on the top of it, you know, And
I get what you're saying about the w n b
A as a you know, posted his question. I think
you jumping on the bandwagon of whatever the conversation is.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
I was excited to see the debut. I love the
Final four. I loved everything about it. I'm saying currently
right now, I think the fact that the fact that
I was Sam is excited about the Indiana fever.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
L A sparks is it tonight, little sneak? You see
that sneak? This LA what what is it? The l
A sparkles and you have to hit it with a
That's cute.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
That's cute Ellie Sprinkles, the fact that my daughter softball
team the Sprinkles l A Sparkles, but the fact that
I was Sam's going, I'm like, man, I feel like
he's pretending.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
I really do I, Sam, defend your You're going to
sit on the one.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
No pretending for me. This is one hundred percent authentic.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
I am.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
Basketball fan. So that all steal together.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
We'll take your feedback on the phones here in Tempe
Graduate Hotel.
Speaker 5 (19:07):

You don't know crap about fool Am I even own
this crap?
Speaker 4 (19:47):
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
That's the wrong tape. Wrong tape. Just forget that. Look.

Speaker 2 (20:14):

Fox Sports Radio at Covino and Rich and Our address
today is two to two five East Apache Boulevard.
Speaker 1 (20:24):

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Have some drinks. Drinks on Rich, everybody drinks on.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Drinks on mech drinks on Rich.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Drinks all right, drinks all Rich, Yo, high shelf, no
top shelves. I love that. Well drinks well, drinks for everyone.
We're gonna go around the room, We're gonna take some
phone calls. We're gonna have some fun again Cavino and Rich.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Just don't let them near your fries.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
I'll eat your fries. If we start talking, I will
pick at your plate.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
So the big story today obviously the Celtics with the
big win in a big game tonight match Timberwolves. But
it's the Angel Reese deleted tweet. She deleted a tweet
because Caitlyn Clark is getting all this love. That's really
all comes down to. So is it petty? Was it
a diss at Caitlyn Clark? Was it a diss to
the media, Like, hey, what about us?
Speaker 1 (21:19):
We're not Chocliver?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Right as I was saying, Kaitlyn Clark and the league
and sports in general should embrace the hate, the rivalries,
the competition. Do we want Angel Rees and Kitlyn Clark
hugging it out? Or do we want them to compete
and not like each other? Would you want the Yankees
and Red Sox to give each other bro hugs? Do
you want the Celtics and the Lakers to love each
other beef if it's a one sided beef? Rank They're
(21:42):
both young players at one point, you know Magic and
Larry Bird, Like I said before, so you want that?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Well?
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Rich is saying Caitlyn Clark should should retaliate a little
bit maybe not. But as I've always said, rich of
rising tide lifts all boats.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
Right.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Everybody just said that one time twenty years.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
I've always said that, and Lebron said, don't get it twisted.
Kaitlin Clark is the reason a lot of good things
are happening in the WNBA. Charles Barkley said, ladies, stop
being petty. Stop hating on Kaitlyn Clark. You should be
thanking Caitlyn Clark as a result. That's the drama that's
going on right now. Okay, so Angel Rees didn't like it,
(22:18):
but a lot of people talking about the WNBA.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
And here's why I think you're way wrong about people
not caring. I don't think they do.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
You got the Maps and Timberwolves playing tonight Game two,
you have the Celtics RUP two to Oh, we're talking
about the WNBA right now.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
I hate that you said that, because, yeah, we're talking
about it. You're right, You're right. I can't argue that.
But do you think anyone's watching.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
The Sparks and the Fever tonight instead of watching no
anything else?
Speaker 2 (22:45):
But if you go to your social media and you
take the uh, you know the opinion of people on
ESPN and you see what people are talking about. And
on Fox Fox Sports Radio right before we got on
here Doug Gottlieb talking about this.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
I'm Doug Gottlieb. That's the story right now.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
So based on that, Rich is having a hard time
thinking this hype is gonna last.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Don't want to call anyone out. I've talked to some
people during the break Okay's and they were like, Yo,
you're so right.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
People are full of s. People are there are people's
and it goes on with that.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
I will agree that people are full of s for
for sure.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
So then we got this meme. We're gonna go around
the room.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
It's what's something you're convinced people are pretending to enjoy?
And I'm not gonna be so hard on the WNBA,
but I'm telling you, if Caitlin Clark doesn't embrace this
rivalry and there's not drama and beef and we're not
having Barkley and you know, Lebron and everyone talking about it,
if it's.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
If it's just like everyone's getting along.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
I'm telling you the WNBA will be one of these
things people are pretending to enjoy. And I found the
thread and I'm looking at our feedback on Twitter.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Here's a couple of things. Do you think people pretend
to like IPAs? I don't like IPAs.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Anyone liked like? Are people who love them lean into
his soul hard? Like they identify themselves? I'm an IPA guy.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
What about when someone's like, I want your spiciest wings, I'm.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Like, are you really enjoying them? Yes? Enough? These are
all debatable things. You're pretending to enjoy it. I disagree.
Jessica hit us up and she said people that like
candy corn I actually like corn.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Yeah, me too, I love it rich and I agree
it's fact I do too.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
How about this?
Speaker 2 (24:24):
It's it's along the same vibe as the w n
b A because I do think there's a great interest
right now. But I do think there's a lot of
bandwagon people that are just leaning into it because it's convenient.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
I feel that way about the Olympics sometimes. And here's why.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Oh good one.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
It's like you mean to tell me because it's usually
the people that are talking about are people that never
talk about sports to me ever, and all of a
sudden they're into like swimming and diving.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
And you're Sharon's leaf.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Did you see the high dive yesterday?
Speaker 2 (24:54):
You never talk about basketball and football, but you're into
like Polevall, Like get that.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
I don't buy that.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
I don't like if you were, if you had the
ability to be pumped about the shot put, then like,
how are you not pumped about the super Bowl or
something like that?
Speaker 1 (25:10):
I find that our buddy spot like that.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Would you could.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Prepending that I was Sam? Just texted me I was Sam?
You like I p as big? I p a guy,
no lithentic.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
He also stayed behind for Caitlyn Clark.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
You know I was Sam, said MONTI wants a chime in. Hello,
Mancy Belong held on MONSI.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Wish you were here every okay, you could have put
me in your backpack, rich Man, you would have fit.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Goodness, what do you think about all this drama about
Caitlyn Clark? And I want to know something that you
think that people pretend to like, because rich is sort
of sort of I don't want.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
To put it all on rich.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
I do agree that people are pretending to like or
care about the WNBA, but I do think it's it's
a big story right now, for sure.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
I think the drama is good. I agree with you.
Speaker 13 (26:08):
It you know, causes people to talk about the w NBA,
whether you like Kaitlyn Clark or you don't, or whether
you like Angel Reese or you don't. It causes a
conversation to happen, and that's good for the w NBA.
Speaker 7 (26:19):
So I think the.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Drama is good.
Speaker 13 (26:21):
I understand why Kaitlyn Clark maybe just taking it this
way of like staying quiet. You guys are saying she's
taking this route of not really you know, addressing it
and just kind of hanging back.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
I think she needs to do that.
Speaker 7 (26:34):
She's not going to please everybody.
Speaker 13 (26:36):
There's such a split when it comes to Kitlin Clark
right now that she's not going to please everybody. No
matter what she says, it's going to be, you know, dissected,
torn apart.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
There's nothing good is going to come from it. She
doesn't mean to be. If I like the rivalries and
the and the argument, I think to say anything that
can continue all.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
The women in the w NBA should be a bit
like thank you Kaitlin, because she is she did step
it up like this.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
It would be ridiculous for Kav and I, who got
our start back in the day on Serious XM to
not credit like, you know, guys like Howard Stern. If
not for him, we wouldn't have got that opportunity. Like,
you don't have to like Howard Stern, but you have
to realize why.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
You are where you are.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
And a lot of the women in the WNBA that
are getting more perks than ever it is because of Kaitlyn.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
But I really do think that a lot of the
media and us being part of that, I guess, is
leaning into the fact that there's some rivalry there or
beef there that might not even be Like I really
feel like Angel Reese's beef is with how the media
is treating Caitlyn Clark.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
But that's what do you think her beef is with
Caitlyn Clark?
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Her beef is like Yo, Media, ESPN, Fox Sports, Cavino
and Rich Pep, all you're doing is talking about.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Caitlin and we're out here slaying it.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
We actually want tonight, Yo, Kaitlyn Clark is not even
in this building and we're sold out. So her beef
and again that's a false narrative. I think her beef
isn't even with Kaitlyn Clark. But that's the headline. That's
the fake news. Beef is with the media and how
people are just talking about her and not anyone else.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
The more I think about my statements, the more I
realize I'm really smart and right.
Speaker 7 (28:07):
I actually think of makes a good point.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
I was thinking about it, Monsie.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Everything that's controversial gets more attention, more headlines, more everything
I'm thinking about. Like, all right, our coworker Doug Gottlieb
signs on to be a head coach in college basketball.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
That's probably the most attention he's got in the last
six months.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Yeah, but you were kind of jealous about it. You
were like, why is he getting all this attention? You
were the head coach of the Pink Sparkles.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
I was six other girls softball champions, and Rich got
no press releases about that.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
But like, think about it, if when when do you
get random friends hitting you up? He knows they mentioned
you on Dan Patrick today or back at our series
sex MP days. You know they were busting you your
chops today on Opie and Anthony or Howard. People like drama.
So I'm sold on this now more than ever, that
this needs to be embraced. It needs to be embraced.
Why do you watch stupid reality television with your girlfriend?
(28:56):
Why did your girlfriend watch vander Pump Because she has
bad taste and TV shows? Okay that and because great
people love drama, great taste in men? Why did you
men watch WWE wrestling? It's a soap opera for the dude,
I promise you.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
As of right now, the media is creating this drama
for ratings, for content. There is no drama. I don't
think there is. We've heard Angel Re say, look, I
got no people herd this is great. Her beef is
with the attention that other women aren't getting.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
That's the problem. You know.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
I see where she's coming from, you know, and I
think you guys have to see past that. And and
don't buy into the hype. Don't buy into the headline.
You know, she sneaked this and she deleted the tweet
because it was about It wasn't about Kaitlyn Clark. It
was about, Hey, media, what do you have to say
about this? We want tonight and you're still talking about
Kaitlyn Clark.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
That's a fair that's a fair substract, which is good
because Kaitlyn hasn't won yet.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
And that's on getting a win and a packed arena,
not just because of one player on our charter Light Skytown.
That's saying, media, why don't you cover this right?
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Yeah, keep the drama away.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
You know what I most listened to show would be
if at the end of the show I slammed down
my headphones.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
I was like, you know, enough of you, I'm done
with you that next show. People like getting too smart
for that.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
And that's why when you see two guys screaming at
each other on ESPN, You're like, I've seen this for
years now, I'm over it.
Speaker 12 (30:23):
You know.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Yeah, drama once in a while is cool, but all
the time, like.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
It starts feeling fake. It's disingenuous.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
So look, based on that whole story again, I want
to wrap it up with any other thoughts you guys
may have on things people fake to like, any other
thoughts faking to like something based on I said that.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Sorry, I don't listen to you. Sorry, No, I feel
nobody does. Someone there's a good point.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
I promise I got a quick one.
Speaker 6 (30:54):
Yeah, when I was on all the dating apps back
of the day before my wife, yes, just about every
female's profile said I love long walks on the beach.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Does anyone really who does?
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Yes, I've been to the beach. I live by one.
There's barely anybody taking walks, that's true.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
There's like, there's food we could discuss, there's we already
discussed beer, Olympics. Other things people are faking to, like
when you're like, there's no way, there's no way, f six,
no way.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
I'll back up Daniel one thing.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Maybe not the walks off the beach, but I guarantee
all the people on their dating profiles that say like
they love hiking, like probably half of them went on
one hike in their life.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
Yeah, you don't love Mike.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
You really do you love hiking?
Speaker 4 (31:38):
I'll take you on a ten mile hike. Let's see
how you love that.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Let's do that. All right? Well, thank you guys.

holiday weekend.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Holiday Seal Breezellibre.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Now, I wanted to talk Kyrie for a second because
here's a guy that I think we changed, not maybe
we didn't totally change our opinion on but there was
a moment where Kyrie was Danny G.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
You'll back me up. They're like, not not.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Old news, but people are sort of spent on Kyrie,
Like his value had, you know, perception wise went down
in the NBA.
Speaker 6 (34:02):
Yeah, I think a lot of people, especially in the media,
lost patience with him.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
That's a good way to put it.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
I think the Brooklyn Nets era era was not good
for Kyrie.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Yeah, I think it all started when he started talking
about flat earth and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
I don't started. He started to getting away of his
own reputation.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Yeah, people thought he was strange. Some people called him
toxic in locker room. Yes, we don't know how much
of that was true.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
He was getting a lot of bad press, and now
we're seeing I think it's just a simple.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Story of evolution and humility.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
You know, I think again when you look back, Richard,
he said it, it's kind of wild. This is from
social media hoops mix only. It's wild how Kyrie didn't
want to play second fiddle to Lebron, but it's perfectly
fine doing it for Luca.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
What do you think about that?
Speaker 2 (34:51):
I think there was a lot of ego involved there.
He didn't want to be second fiddle to Lebron for
obvious reasons. In my mind, he's like what Lebron. I'm
he felt as good as Lebron. I think he's coming
from a different perspective where he doesn't feel like he's
competing with Luca. You know what I mean, Like he's
not competing against Luca, he's competing with Luca.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
That's what I meant.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
I mean, Listen, they want a Championship together him and
Lebron and you know, he's a series away from getting
to the finals with with.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
You know, Luke and Kyrie. I look, but he even
said it.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
It's just a different level of leadership that he's willing
to take on now where he knows his place and
he's staying in his lane and it's working better for
him in the team, and he's able to see that
now when you know in the past he wasn't. Because
you grow, you grow wiser, and you get a little older.
And I think that's where he's at now and it's
working for him.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Do you think that was.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
Discussed with Mark Cuban and Mavericks management and ownership, because
remember when that happened, We're like, this could go very
good or very bad. And I said this with Jalen
Brunson and the Knicks. We're very quick to want to,
you know, dump on terrible moves, but when a team
or an organization makes a good one, we don't highlight
him enough.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
We're just like, yeah, yeah, a good move. Pal.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
I think the Knicks of Brunson was a huge move
which was at the you know, unfortunate for the Mavericks
giving up bruns and but this is a big one
for them.
Speaker 6 (36:06):
The other day on the show, we were talking about
how important chemistry is on teams and giving things time
to gel and that hadn't happened in Dallas between Kyrie
and Luca, and everybody jumped the gun and was like,
this is not going to work. What a bad idea
giving him that contract. And now that they've had some
time to learn how to play together, and I think
the biggest difference between playing with Lebron. Remember back then,
(36:28):
Kyrie said he didn't like feeling like Lebron's little brother.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
He didn't want to be a little brother.
Speaker 6 (36:33):
Luca and Kyrie, even though Kyrie's older, you can't really
tell who's older and who's younger. They don't seem they
just seem like brothers, but you don't know who's older.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Kyrie still playing great.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
He was our player of the week on our show
and he he had thirty points the last game.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Luca had thirty three points. So again he said that
he's also.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
In a different mindset of commitment to elevating his teammates,
to making Luca a better player, where it wasn't that
really wasn't the case when he played in Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Well, one of the things though they want. One of
the things we do a lot on our shows. We
compare sports to relationships, right, And I'm seeing a lot
of people here. By the way, did someone win the
puzzle challenge? He congratulations?
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Frozen together? How do you feel very good about it?
Speaker 3 (37:17):
You went a swiky And by the way, I see
a lot of people show boy their beautiful wives and girlfriends.
And I will say this, First of all, I'm very
impressed you guys a good job. Everyone's got a really
good looking wife and girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Secondly, I can tell you this by the way, I
keep your wife and girlfriend away from rich he's drinking.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Only after a few drinks. Keep them aware.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
No, But my thought is this, there are things that
you do in a relationship for some people that you
wouldn't do for someone else. If you're in love, you'll
do things for someone that you wouldn't do for someone
you weren't in love with. Think about the think think
about the sacrifice and opportunities and things you'll do for
someone you love.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
And that's that's the lebron Luca. I don't think that.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
I don't think that if they didn't get along or anything.
It's just that he's in a different place mentally.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
We'll take your feedback next right here seeing our
