Juicy Lucy, let's be rocking out, Let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Do you think safe to say Justin Jefferson gonna get
a deluxe apartment in the sky.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Without a doubt, making Weezy proud George, Oh justin so
happy for Yeah, so you do a good weezy. Actually,
I've been practicing what were the crossover episodes?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
It was George was in the Archie bunker right all
in the family. I think George Jefferson would look like now.
I saw a picture on social media where it said,
like Steven A. Smith, we're talking about Wait are they
the same guy? I always thought they were. No, it
was someone saying, if George Jefferson, We're a main character
on television now instead of that, you know, the Sherman Helmsley,

(01:39):
George Costanza.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Almost look like that, the balding guy.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Look, what if George Jefferson had like a beard or
goatee and like shaved his head baldough like, would he
look cooler?

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Or do you like old school George Jefferson. I like
old school George Jefferson. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Do you ever see that when they put like modern
day haircuts on old people?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
You ever see Donald Trump with a shaved head and
a beard?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
I have.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I also saw him at UFC this week.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
It's like he was making meth in an RV.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yes, So let's wrap up this Caitlin Clark drama at
the end of the day, actually at the beginning, middle
and end of the day. If we're talking about it,
it's good for the WNBA. So if a hip check
here and there gets some press and it causes some
drama and we're discussing it, it's all good for the WNBA.

(02:27):
But it is coming from a place of jealousy and envy,
and it's never a good look, never a good look.
But jealousy and envy you could understand because these women
have worked their asses off, their professional women basketball players,
and they're thinking, now we got attention because of her.
So I get no, but there's a release that's there

(02:48):
and a jealousy and maybe it's being acted out in
a little check here and there, a little push here, there,
a little trash talking. But again on the flip, I said,
do you expect everyone to roll out the red carpet
to thank you?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Caitlin are savior? We're not worthy.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
But even her own teammates rich, even her own teammates
weren't there at her defense.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
How do you feel about that check? That was weird?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
How do you feel about that, Iowa Samuel that no
one on the Indiana Fever jumped to her defense. That's
like weak ass teammates.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
No, yeah, they got a little a wake up call
there for.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Real, but you know, they did have a nice win
over the weekend. Then she stunk it up the next game.
Maybe she needs to call Tommy fam for some advice.
Maybe maybe you know, she spoke about being checked before
we get to the phone calls. She spoke about it
at the end of the game. If you want to
take a listen, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (03:36):
That's just not a basketball play, but you know, I
gotta play through it. That's what basketball's about at this level.
So I thought we've been really fast. Of all, we've
missed some buddies around the rim and so hopefully they's
fall in the forth. But really proud of our defense.
I thought we pluted great defense so far.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
And she had more after the game. If you want
to take a listen, it is what it is, you know.

Speaker 7 (03:52):
I feel like I'm just at the point where you
accept it and don't retaliate, like, you know, just let
them hate you be what it is is. Don't want
to get inside your head and know it's coming. I
think at this point, like I know, I'm going to
take a couple of hard shots a game, and that's
what it is, is just stay in the game and
saying what's important.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
That's where I disagree though, as Marvelous Marvin Hagler said,
never let him see a sweat.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I agree with that. That's why.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
That's why the pit's one of the area you have
to clean. Yeah, the hotspot, the hotspots got to wear
your right guard. Remember your dad would use that can.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Of its be coughing around. My dad and he put
his theodor on. Anyway, Theodora anymore.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I don't even think they sell it anymore. But you
got to retaliate, and then actually you have to retaliate.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
So that's where I disagree with her.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
His dad had the right guard in one in front
of one mirror and the and the other mirror. His
mom had the aquin that hairspray. There's a lot of
so I do disagree with that. I disagree with not retaliate.
Somebody needs to retaliate or else they're going to keep
doing it. He needs a goon, yes, she needs he's

(05:01):
a sorcer.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
She needs me.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
The meme I sent you Dreanna Green.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah, oh that's my guy. Heavens he made that one.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
She needs the female Draymond Green to step up showing
William Scott the goon. So anyway, let's take your phone
calls on Caitlin Clark. I do like Mike's take to
Mike who runs his place where he said, men do
this all the time and we deem it competitive.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
True, but.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
It is counter productive for what she's bringing to w NBA,
which is what they always needed, and that's eyes and interest.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
And you're right, there's a lot of there's a lot
of torn feelings, right like should other players be thankful,
but they're also going to be jealous, maybe a little resentful,
maybe a combination of all those things equals just a
lot of confusion, right because you know you're not gonna
be going on kissing this girl's ass. And again there's
players that are like, yeah, her, she's the one. I
think the world's a little confused. I'll share you with

(06:00):
all this. Think of any industry, Danny j if some
new hotshot comes in and they're the ones that's changing
the game, it's gonna be hit with resistance.

Speaker 8 (06:07):
Yeah, the take, I love the best over the weekend,
and I saw this from several different people. You're not
allowed to talk about the WNBA, Covino or Rich because
you never watched until this point.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I see that as well, and I roll my eyes
and it's like, well, she's giving us reason to watch
and to care. That's the whole point. You know, no
one else has done that yet. There's been other greats,
but we didn't care about them.

Speaker 8 (06:32):
Yeah, and for all the people who rented and raved
about they need to make more money more like the men.
Well obviously it's simple math. They need to earn more
revenue and TV contracts to get more money into the
player's pockets.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
And this is what starts that.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
And like I said, who cares how is packaged? Who
cares who it is? At that point? This is your
time to shine, all right? So and you know what
the best way to shine is to be her ultimate
competitor and playing tough, not playing dirty. So your thoughts
on it. To wrap it up, because we have other
things to get to. But it was one of the
biggest stories of the weekend.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I'm not I'm not being contrarian because I really, well,
there's somebody I'd be lying if I said, I had
an incredibly strong opinion on this.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
But much like, let's say some young hotshot.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Let's say remember when Bryce Harper entered the league and
he had all the eye black on and he was like, remember,
young young Bryce Harper was I was playing for a kiss?

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah, looked Hutchinson.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yeah, when there's some.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Young hot shot, you might take a little extra shot
on that quarterback or give Bryce Harper a little chin music.
Sometimes when some young hot shot player enters any league,
Connor Bdard in the NHL, there's a young player, what
if people do? Sometimes it's a little like, all right, youngster,
gonna check you a little bit initiation. And again I'm

(07:49):
not saying it's right, but that's how I'm feeling about it.
The same way you might you might hit a Bryce
Young a little harder in the pocket than you would
a veteran. I think that that's what you're seeing with
Kaitlyn Clark, veterans being like yo, okay, shoes changing the game,
bam little.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
You know, Dan Bayer, you had a great way to
put over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
It wasn't listening to Dan Buyers. We can time.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
He's got the best takes on Fox Sports dB, it
wasn't hazing, it was something else. You called it something else. Yeah,
And it was Carrie Rhoades who came up with the
term right of passage. That's what it was, hey, That's
what rich is describing right there. It's more of a
rite of passage. And I get that. But I will
tell you this as far as strong stance. The more
and more I see these cheap shots, and the more

(08:34):
and more I see people gunning after her, you could
say it's jealous, you could say it's just competition. It
makes me root for her and more intrigued as a result,
It really does. It makes me want to see her
put it in everybody's face, dude, it makes me more
of a face.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
The more I see that, and the more I see
people bad mauthner and backlash and saying they don't want
to talk about her and they're out to get her
and they're doing this stuff and she's applauding that, dude,
the more I'm behind Caitlin Clark and I went from
not caring at all to being like, come on, now,
I'm rooting for and I'm hitting up iosam over the weekend,
like dude, because I'm now I'm getting more passionate now

(09:12):
I'm team Kaitlin Clark where I wasn't before. So eight
seven seven ninety nine, Oh Fox, your thoughts on it?
Let's wrap it up. Actually, all the phones are lit.

Speaker 9 (09:22):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
People love talking about it. They're so lit. Danny, what
do you want to start? You want to start with
Lie one and work our way down.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Yeah, let's start with Johnny and Pennsylvania.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Johnny and Pa Covin on Rich what's up, Johnny?

Speaker 10 (09:33):
Hey, I want to say about this Caitlin Clark thing.
I don't think everybody would understand how vicious women can
be on women. I mean it's downright a female thing.
Where you're talking, I'd never seen it except in the workplace,
and it's I mean, most married guys would know, most

(09:54):
people who are in long term relationships his downright female
evil on female.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Okay, But Johnny see.

Speaker 10 (10:01):
People, you see people of females applauding.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
All right, but hold on.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Food for thought based on what Mike is saying. Okay,
our buddy Mike who runs this place. We saw Tommy
Fam and Willie Contrerass going at it this weekend and
Tommy Fam saying, yeah, that's why I fight on the
off season so I can f people up. And we're like, yeah, competitive,
it really is so, But I understand what you're saying too.

(10:28):
Women could be vicious, you know how. We know because
we're men and we've dealt with it on the other side.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
And it's not sexist to say, you know, a mom,
a wife, a girlfriend, a daughter. It's just food for throw.
Women and meta cut from a different cloth. And I'll
give you the analogy. You've seen people say that we're
not used to seeing it. A guy sees his buddy
with a great wife and be like, man, I really
want a woman like that. They'll say women will see

(10:53):
their girlfriend with a great guy and be like.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I want that guy. That's a Chris Rock. That's a
Chris Rock thought. Because men and women aren't different, we
also so in other words, it's food for thought. From
our buddy Mike, it's just competition, right, But like our
last caller just said, it's kind of hard to deny
that men and women are different. Of course, so there's
a little truth both. And what do women love to

(11:16):
talk about. I'm a girls, chiman Oh, I'm a girl.
Women love to say I'm a girl's girl. I'm you know,
I got other women's back and you're not seeing that.
And I'm not saying it's a sexist thing. I'm saying
that topic comes up when you talk about this. We
we it's fair to acknowledge that women are different.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Women love to talk.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
I hear my wife and her girlfriends they talk about
which girls are girls girls?

Speaker 3 (11:39):
It's a thing. David in Miami, what's up man?

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Hey David, guys, I don't understand what's with these other
women in the league. All of a sudden that getting
chartted fly All of a sudden, the New York team
has a revenue of one game of two million dollars.
All that's doing is selling out a wreen Is whenever
she comes, and they don't like this. I've been a

(12:04):
sports fan all my life. I cannot remember one great
pro starting with lou Al Sinda Kareem who came into
the league where guys went after just tim. Yeah, you
had goons, but they were goons against everybody, not just
one person. And these women, for whatever the reason is,

(12:25):
it just doesn't make any sense to me. Don't they
want to make more money?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
It's the attention she's getting it's they think they're better,
it's she's white.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
It's a little bit of everything. Unfortunately, she's also a millionaire.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
She's a millionaire in she's making thirty million a year.
They're making, you know, seventy thousand a year. There's so
many factors and it's kind of wild to see and
if you're not tuned in all these conversations help a
little bit. Let me give you an interesting analogy, give
you no an I our best fit ever here at
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
And I'm not just saying that it's true. Yeah, but
we spent a hell of a lot of time at
Serious XM. We were at Serious XM before Howard Stern.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
When he came to Serious XM, the stock.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Went from I think three hundred thousand subscribers to like
thirty million.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Yeah, within that you know, ten plus year period. So
to say that would have been like Kevino and I
at Serious XM at the time working for Maxim Radio
being mad that Howard Stern came on board.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
I mean, I eventually was mad that he was getting
paid crazy amounts of money, but at the time, but
I mean he put eyeballs on for satellite radio. Absolutely,
he made your stock in four toh one k go
up all this stuff that would.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
That was there any resentment by at all, like truly
about the money or because.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
It kept the ship ship afloat the same way I said,
ship ship afloat, because that's what the w NBA needed.
She's exactly what they needed and people are mad about it.
It's wild to watch, it really is.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Yeah, well so we got let's go to David in Texas,
David Chay, Buddy.

Speaker 11 (14:00):
Hey, what's up guys?

Speaker 12 (14:01):
You know what do you have a quick question?

Speaker 13 (14:02):
I agree with you, guys. Everything like that is competitive sport.
You know, as the w NBA telling her welcome back,
welcome home, rooking some situation like that. But in the
situation like this, I want to open up.

Speaker 12 (14:13):
A little conspiracy theory.

Speaker 13 (14:15):
Uh during the during the Iowa game and Connecticut game,
you had one of the Connecticut ex players that it's
with a favorite team right now, and when Yukon won
the game, she was celebrating with Yukon.

Speaker 12 (14:28):
Now now her.

Speaker 13 (14:29):
Being teammates, don't you think that the Cardoza and her
are talking and saying, hey, do you know what she's
saying this about you guys? Or whatever, whatever conspiracy theory
like that, which you can say.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
You know, dude, I know what you're saying is these
girls are like best palace playing together. Now one of
them is with Caitlin Clark. Maybe this cattiness, I don't know. Again,
you could say the same about men though, right, Like,
there's guys that played ball together in college and when
we get to the pros, let's go to Eddie in Indiana,
Eddie and what's up, buddy?

Speaker 4 (15:00):
What up?

Speaker 12 (15:01):
Ed Hey?

Speaker 14 (15:02):
I'm thinking of a recent NBA player that came in
with a lot of high alonzo ball and he got
pretty good walking from Patrick Beverley there. I he basically
almost fouled out in the first quarter of the game.
And I don't think Caitlyn Clark necessarily has it in
her physically to jaliate. I really just think her only
move now is just to lay on the floor and

(15:23):
just say what are you guys doing? You know, with
their Facebook pressure. I think that's all she's got right now.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Well, if moves will be made, I think Iowa Sam
hit the nail on the head too. You've got to
have someone there to protect her moving forward. Continue allowing
this sort of play against her.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Lonzo Ball when he came in. Let's just remind ourselves
the difference. Caitlin Clark is sort of a soft, softer
spoken in general.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Let's be honest. He's not like the most boisterous for us.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
And soft spoken three point star gave attention to women's basketball.
Lonzo Ball had the most loudmouthed dad that was doing
media and interviews and talking about is always sons are
the stars? That I mean Lonzo Ball, LeVar the dad, right, LaVar? Yeah, really,

(16:12):
you know, put his kids at a disadvantage from the
first tip var like Tony.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
I thought Tony Terry had three sons in the NBA.
Look up Tony Terry if you don't remember him. Tony
Terry is an R and B star of the nineties.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
What's up? Dan Byer? Feel like this is also.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
This is also every team.

Speaker 15 (16:26):
It feels like this isn't just a one off of
a Patrick Beverly giving someone an initiation. This is all right,
what's the next team that's coming into town that's gonna
try to take a shot at Caitlyn Clark.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
That's what this feels like. It's a league wide thing.

Speaker 15 (16:40):
Because I thought it was. I was going to try
to compare it to the Pistons. You know, when the
Pistons were physical with everyone, but the Pistons were one
team trying to form their identity. This feels like, and
it's not every player in the league, but it sure
seems that there's someone on each team that really has
a problem with Kaitlyn.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
And know what I think it also is you could
say that this is a layer, not that they're necessarily
trying to be overly rough with her, but you don't
think everyone that might be put in the position to
guard her.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Oh, you're one on one with Caitlin. It's their moment
to shine as well.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yes, so they're gonna play their hardest, Like if I
told you Kavino.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
That's what I said.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
For every Ali, there's a Joe. One could be that
Joe Frasier in this moment and prove that they're even
better than her. But you don't have to go this
way about it. Give me a random w NBA team
that I wouldn't know. The Washington Mystics perfect, the Mystics
worse than the Fever.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Whoever's on the Mystics, which, by the way, if I
was in the pain Cave of caves and had to
name one player, I would die in the cave whoever
is on the Mystics. So if I'm on the Minnesota Mystics, no,
the Minnesota Lynx, one of the Minnesota Lynx. There go
and it's my golden opportunity. You're gonna be on ESPN
tonight because you're playing the Fever and I have a

(17:54):
chance to guard Kaitlyn Clark. You don't think I'm playing
the hardest I've ever played in my life Circle thirty,
but I'm saying you're gonna ball and you're gonna be like, yo,
I'm gonna show her. You're gonna play a little more physical.
It'll be in your DNA to do it.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
If you're a game, they're like, oh, here we go.
I'm gonna be in the I'm gonna be on the news. Everyone,
you know, everyone. They always say the Chiefs, right, everyone.
They circle that game on the calendar like that's our
game against the defending Super Bowl champs. Every team is
circling the Indiana Fever game as like that's our game,
and you know what it's doing.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Though. The Yankees are off tonight, right and obviously the
NBA finally Goh, what are you gonna do? No, but
the NBA Finals doesn't start till Thursday. So what did
I do? For the first time in forever? I looked
up the schedule to see if Indiana is playing. They're
gonna say, go to the gym, my girlfriend, I'm.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Doing that too.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I mean, but she's like, since when do you care
about the w n B A And I was like,
since since this?

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Since this?

Speaker 1 (18:51):
So they played three days in a row, three nights. Yeah,
it's working. That is the positive out of all of
this drama.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Show works, John and Indy three more quickies that will
move on?

Speaker 3 (19:02):
John, Indy, You're on.

Speaker 11 (19:04):
Well, I think it's kind of equivalent to Michael Jordan
not saying that she is going to be Michael Jordan
in a sense. But when Michael Jordan came out of college,
you kind of knew about him, but you really didn't.
But if you were in the moment, you know that
he transformed what the sport is today, And no shoe
contract would be as relevant, no concert, no commercials would

(19:26):
be as relevant. So I mean, they just gott to
piggyback on and right the right the coattails of evolution
do which suck that. It's probably her face. I don't know,
but you know, hey.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
There's women that are there's women that are definitely like her,
her her face. Oh come on, there's no question that
there are women that are probably better than her, obviously
better than her. But she's also a rookie in the
league right now, so give her time to develop. And
her team stinks, so I can see why people say, Look,
even in our business, in every business, there's someone that

(19:58):
gets more attention than you. But you know you're better then,
So I get that, but use that to fuel your fire.
You don't need to be you don't need to cheapen
your own worth by making flagrant fouls and playing dirty.
That's a good point to enhance yourself. That's a good point.
No matter what industry you're in. There's someone that gets
more attention than yours. And I sit there every night too, like,

(20:18):
why then we're better than them? But if it's it's
for the greater good of everybody, Brad, then you gotta
understand that as well.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
North Carolina, b rad what's up, man.

Speaker 12 (20:28):
Yeah, I'll tell you.

Speaker 16 (20:29):
The one thing I haven't heard is much about that
I think is a really glaring thing is that her
own teammates have not factor.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
That is eye opening.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
It even I was saying it was like, oh yeah,
they like when she got hard checked. That's when some
of the other women on the team should have stepped
up instead of just watching her fall.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
That was very weak.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
I see some footage though, you guys were at the
time out some of her teammates did come over and
started chirping a little bit at the other team. So
right in that moment, right when it happened, they didn't
run over.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Maybe they're not used to it. They're a little in
shock too, right, Yeah, I may have to step up now.

Speaker 8 (21:05):
Yeah, you know, it's an interesting thing to pay attention
to the next time this happens, will they run over quickly?

Speaker 2 (21:09):
I told you, I told you Miss Clark needs to
make a call to a guy. I know, mister, fam
What happens?

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Speaking of what happens in baseball, someone gets someone gets hit.
What happens the next dinningtal the picture has his teammates
back and someone else gets hit. They have to show
right away that they have her back or they're not a.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Team at all.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Ye last one, Guardana, Let's got to Lloyd to wrap
it up and then we play a game.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Last year, they.

Speaker 8 (21:34):
Might not have been there. You might might not have
visited Guardina, California.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Gardina. Yeah, well I was gone.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
They made it.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
I got a dingy.

Speaker 12 (21:45):
Hey what's going on?

Speaker 11 (21:46):
Man?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Hey?

Speaker 12 (21:47):
Heavy is the crown. That's what I'm gonna say. First
is the crown. And when it comes to Guardia, cops in.
You know, everything is around the crumble, But anyway is
the crown. Man, I'm gonna bring a couple of people,
like just look at Coke. Kobe was a young you
know what I'm saying. Everybody looked at Kobe. Oh, you're

(22:09):
trying to be magic. You're gonna be Jordan's you know
what I'm saying. Yep, man, and they beat Kobe. Yeah,
Kobe had They have some fist pipes, you know what
I'm what I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Heavy is the crown.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
And by the way, I want you know what, I
think Lloyd's getting that though, in the end, it made
Kobe better and more competitive, and that's the other positive
and silver lining to the story. It's great for the
w n b A, but it's only gonna make her stronger, tougher,
and better as a result. So they're really helping her
in the long run. That's the truth, just as they
did Kobe and other greats along the way. And by
the way, we're we're making your town way more fancy.

(22:39):
Lloyd got to Dan, We're gonna we're gonna open up
a Starbucks at Jamba, Juice at Chipotle.

Speaker 2 (22:44):

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Got some feedback on social media in regards to Caitlin Clark,
by the way, it's just such a hot story man,
hot topic, like your favorite start them all, always starting something,
Iowa saym Danny g. Dan Byer. Spotty's back. Welcome back, Spotty,
spot Thanks good to be back. So new videos every
day on social media at Covino and Rich at Fox
Sports Radio. Forgot what I Know, Forgot what I look

(25:14):
like too again live from the tyreck dot Com studio.
Welcome Spotty back at spots Center, and of course all
our feedback at Covino and Rich. The Sandman says, jealousy
is an ugly look and the WNBA has it going on.
Pretty embarrassing to see after all the crying they've been doing,
they finally get the boost they've been begging for and
now they're completely rejecting it. That's how it feels. It does,

(25:36):
and it transcends sports. It's almost like a crazy social
experiment in social observation to witness, it's like, dang, they're
hating on her hard or is it just straight up competition.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Well, you'd be the judge at Covin on Rich. But
it's time's gay, let's do it.

Speaker 16 (25:53):
You have five seconds to battle for your sports trivia
lit man ah. Put your electronic devices down and pick
your sports knowledge curs.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Last one standing, Last one standing. My favorite game we
played Danny Gate.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
It gives you the most anxiety, but I feel like
it's our best one dress.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Oh.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
I have four anxiety riddled categories prepared if you needed
a tiebreaker. Each contestant gets five seconds to stay alive
in the round. If you run out of time or
answer incorrectly, Iowa Sam will scort you out with the
famous buzzer. I would keep battling until you are the
last one standing. If you win two of the rounds,
you are the top dog. Here are the contestants. Two

(26:39):
time winner Steve Covino should be four, but who's counting
to his right, he actually does have four.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
That's Rich Davis.

Speaker 8 (26:46):
Four, fifteen time winner and leader in the clubhouse, Dan Byer,
Hello and good at this game. By the way, Spot
is the fact checker during the game. Very important part.
And we're gonna go to the studio lines right now
to see who's going to play for a stainless steel swiggy.
He's a fatter fact fact. All right, buyer, I'll use

(27:07):
you for this. Would you love to travel to beautiful Montana? Chico, California, Alaska,
or Sacramento, California.

Speaker 15 (27:14):
They all they all sound amazing, But we're gonna go
with Montana. Phil, I've left Montana out a couple of you.
That's Joel Joel. What part of Montana?

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Joel?

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Montana, Missoula?

Speaker 4 (27:27):
What do you? What do you do for work? There?

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Something with horses?

Speaker 12 (27:30):
We're construction.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Okay, his name is Joe Joel, Joel Joe from Missoula.
Like Joe Missoula. That'd be kind of fun.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
All right, here we go. I think Joel Montana is better.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Joel.

Speaker 8 (27:46):
Coach of that. When I say your name, the clock
is going to begin. Here's the first category, guaranteed cheese.
You have five seconds to name an NFL QB who's
on the top ten list according to Sporting News last
month for most guaranteed money. Coveno, You're up first.

Speaker 6 (28:01):
Go Lamar Jackson, Yes, number five, Rich Kirk Cousins negative
out of the buyer, Bulligan, No Burrow, Yeah, Joe Joel.

Speaker 11 (28:23):
Patrick mahomes homes number.

Speaker 8 (28:24):
Four, reworked that deal, yep, Coveno, Herbert Herbert number three.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
Nice buyer, Josh Allen. Josh Allen is number nine, Joel.

Speaker 11 (28:36):
Oh the Cowboys guy Jack Prescott.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Prescott not in the lest sorry, Coveno.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
To no, No, that means the last the deal is
number Yes, goff's on that.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Number one, all strong, Rich when you were out in
the first round.

Speaker 8 (28:54):
Get at it, uh, Jalen Hurts, Kyler, Murray, Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Because it's had a new deal.

Speaker 8 (29:03):
Let's get to the second category buyer on the board.
So far bubbly in the Cup. Oh, you have five
seconds to name an NHL team that has won the
Stanley Cup between two thousand and twenty twenty three. All right,
and Joel, you're gonna go first. Go yes, yes, sir Buyer.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
Pittsburgh Penguins, yes, Rich, Tampa Bay Lightning, Yes, Golden Knights, Yeah,
of course, Joel, Chicago Blackhawks?

Speaker 10 (29:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:37):
What the team then?

Speaker 9 (29:39):
Yeah it's Hawks, gotchaks but Dan Bayer Uh, Carolina Hurricanes, yes, sir, Rich.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
La Kings, yes, Coveno, Dallas Stars.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Nope, really yes, I thought I was here Camino.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Back to Joel then.

Speaker 6 (30:10):
Alright, sorry Joel, Buyer, Washington Capitals, Rich, the Hurricanes, somebody, Yeah,
you said that different one?

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Three Boston Bruins.

Speaker 6 (30:25):
Uh nope, Oh yes, I'm yes, I'm sorry, yes, sorry, sorry, Buyer, sorry,
good Sabers, Rich, Avalanche, Blues, Ducks and Duck.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
I had I had the Ducks on deck. I had
the Ducks on deck. Remember with Gordon Bombay, remember that
year there?

Speaker 8 (30:49):
All right, Buyer and Rich both on the board. As
we moved to the third category.

Speaker 15 (30:53):
Canadian teams, by the way, none of them, right, I know,
went Boilers, Oilers, hoping to change that.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
That's why the Oilers is a big deal.

Speaker 8 (31:01):
Like thirty years ninety three, third category national? Would you
have five seconds to name a National League batting champion
between the years twenty twenty twenty three.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Covino you're first.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
DJ lem Mayhew.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yes, you only know that because he went back to
back in one year, was with the Yankees. That's a
good one, all right, Rich, I'll have to waste this one.
Jose Reyis was actually a batting champion.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
Yes, that's correct, Buyer, Louis our eyes, yeah, yes, Joel,
you're up next.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Yes, yeah, good one thousand and three.

Speaker 19 (31:38):
Wow, alright, Cono three two one, Come on, bro Rice Harbor,
I don't know Rich.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
Goldschmidt.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
That's a good guess. He's a power guy.

Speaker 6 (31:55):
Goldie No ye if a backup answers running gonna be
so many did trout nationally?

Speaker 4 (32:04):
Now you go three two one.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
There, because I would have guessed then.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
No.

Speaker 8 (32:15):
I mean, Joel is the last nice.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
We had so many, so many options. I think that
you know because we're.

Speaker 6 (32:23):
So use sons, Gonzalez, black Man, Jones, Yellick.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Gordon is on the list, Derek Lee and Yellis was
a good one.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
We shouldn't know. We should have known Berry b No.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
But you know what, I think we all agree that
back in the day, when we were kids, it was
like Wade Bogs and Tony Gwynn. There were guys that
were like multi time winners. Now it seems like whites, right,
So it's not as easy. Good category, Okay, a tough one.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
Now we got a three way tie buyer, Rich and Joel.
As we go to the fourth category, best of the best,
you have five seconds to name an NBA Finals m
v P between two thousand and twelve twenty three, and
we're gonna start with Joel go for.

Speaker 12 (33:02):
It, Joel, Andre Gudala yep.

Speaker 4 (33:05):

Curry yep, Joel, Kobe Bryant yep, Buyer, Tony Parker yes, yeah,

Speaker 6 (34:03):
Right, Joel Oh Pierce, Paul Pierce, no, oh yes, sorry,
nice poll, Joel Buyer.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Did someone say shack?

Speaker 15 (34:15):

Speaker 3 (34:51):

Speaker 8 (34:54):
Look at twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen, no one said that
one igodollos Oh okay, yeah, yeah it was. It was
so everybody's taken.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Look at that. It's so good?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Is it?

Speaker 8 (35:09):
Byron rich still Hyron rich alright after sudden death, when
we come back.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
When we come back, shut and death.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
DB's got an update and he's like, I wanted to
get on the four or five by that, d what's
going on?

Speaker 15 (35:25):
Vikings gave Justin Jefferson a four year extension worth one
hundred and forty million dollars. He gets one hundred and
ten million guaranteed. Hall of Fame offensive lineman Larry Allen
hass away, Yes he did. He is moving on up
to the highest paid non quarterback in the NFL. Larry

ban for violating the league's gambling policy. Marcano was being
accused of betting on Pirates games when he played in
Pittsburgh last season. Marcano was allegedly on the injured list
at the time he placed those alleged bets.

Speaker 1 (36:29):

Speaker 4 (38:23):
How could he say that about Megan the Stallion?

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Yeah, yeah, So this is a generational thing going on,
but I think it's the spring jam of the summer
and it's gonna be undeniable to everybody eventually. So thank
you guys for hanging out with us. Covino and Rich
very undeniable, undeniably awesome. Agreed, And we're in the middle
of this heated last one standing live from the Tyraq

Speaker 4 (39:25):
Thank you to Joel who was playing there from Montana.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Thank you, Joel.

Speaker 8 (39:28):
All right, here we go. This is between rich and buyer,
no multiple choice. It's whoever comes closest without going over.
If you're both over, then it's who's closest then anyway,
all right, here we go. A nineteen sixty home run
in Detroit by the great Nicky Mantle was recognized by
Guinness Records as the furthest ball ever hit in a
Major league game. How many feet did it travel? Whoever

(39:52):
wants to go first?

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Buzz I have a number written down, So okay, I've
that way, you won't know.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
I won't be lying.

Speaker 15 (39:58):
Go ahead, I'm gonna say sixty two five sixty two
for buyer.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Okay, I wrote down what Kamino just to show him
telling the truth five point fifty one, fifty.

Speaker 8 (40:07):
One fifty one and the winner six hundred and forty three. Yeah,
Dan byer Is closes, by the way, he was there
for that game.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Billy Crystal was there when he was a kid, and
he said that he just remembers the crowd roaring, and
right when it was hit. He said, there was a
priest in front of him and he stood up and
he missed the whole thing because he was eight years old.

Speaker 8 (40:33):
And it was his first game. This is what's crazy.
It traveled over four traffic lanes and into a lumber yard.
An employee at Brooks lumber remembered exactly where the ball landed.
He was able to turn the measurement into Guinness Book
of Worlds Records.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Wow, insane.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
I was going to just say six hundred.

Speaker 4 (40:50):
I felt that that was an even one. That's a
bomb insane.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
So thank you.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Congratulations dB on your fifteenth fIF Is it fifteen? Why
don't you brag about it? That's sixteen sixteen wins Well, Hey,
I'm glad we're wrapping up the show because I have
a cosmic baseball game to get to tonight.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
By the way, did you I think this?

Speaker 1 (41:11):
I told Kabo, I want to open up joining the
league right now.

Speaker 4 (41:14):
I want to.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Open up a cosmic sports facility. If you don't know
what we're talking about, the first ever cosmic baseball game
was played, I was saying, did you see this where
it's like it's pitch dark. The lights in the stadium
are black lights, The ball, the bat, and the uniforms
are all black light lit, so it looks like laser baseball.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
I feel like there should be.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
It's very cool, a batting cage, mini golf and bowling.
And I want to make a cosmic facility, cosmic facility
coming soon. The C and R can I join in
on this, but this will be how we make our
Billy see at our cosmic facility. It will be like
our own fantasy factory of sorts. Honestly, coming in it'll
join it cool as hell.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Danny G have you seen any of the clips no
cosmic baseball over the weekend? First ever games and again
under black black lights and everything mpagne room.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
They know if you want to make sure your uniforms,
he said.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
The only sort of thing that seemed to be challenging
was catching a fly ball, like it was hard to
get that perception at night, but everything else was legit
but pretty pretty.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
Cool to think that they did that.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
And again, when you think about cool things you could
do on like a weekend, when you're like a teenager,
a twenty something year old on a date night, to
say that if you made a mini golf batting cage
facility that was all glow in the dark like that,
we can call it golf and stuff. Yeah, brilliant of it.

Speaker 3 (42:35):
Can't wait.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
I let's invest everything we have into this clow in
the dark cosmic sports per photon fantasy factory.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Let's do it.

Speaker 17 (42:44):
Well.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
Enjoy your Monday night, light night in sports. So uh hey,
let us know what you're watching at Cobno rituals.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
See tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
Until then, baby, do you in the Promised Land? Goodbye guys,
