That's Expresspros dot Com. Now Father's Day Weekend. By the way,
you got a big poppy an edible arrangement or no, yes,
big poppy gets one. Now suddenly everyone's an expert on
a WNBA. So this hour we play Chipotle worker or
w NBA player. So if you want to start calling
(01:14):
in your chance to win a swegy, hit us up
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Or if you
got thoughts on Bill Belichick, because that's what we're talking
about right now, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
at Covino and Rich. So, Belichick was married to Debbie
Clark from the mid seventies to two thousand and six.
Now it's reported that he's dating a twenty four year
(01:36):
old woman, Jordaan Jordan Hudson, former cheerleader, right competitive cheerleader.
She looks like a pageant girl. I don't know she's hot.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
She's hot.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I'll tell you that he's seventy two, she's twenty four.
And that's a forty eight year different And put in perspective,
she was born the year Belichick started coaching the Patriots.
Forty eight year difference is a lot. Now here's why
I'm tour. Everybody's entitled to happiness, they really are. So.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
And if you're a.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Rich person man or woman, and you could get into
a relationship with a fine piece of booty and you're
an old Wrinkley guy.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
So why am I gonna hate? Exactly?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm trying to be fire and say, hey, if they're happy,
then who are we to Jodd benefits both if she's
living a lifestyle she wants her. Hey, maybe it's a
father figure she never had. I don't know the details,
but as a father, that bothers me because I'm like,
keep these old creeps away from my kid.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You grandfather that she never had.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, exactly, perhaps exactly. Now put that in perspective, right,
that's like the young lady at your office or in
your company, or that you know dating like your dad,
someone of grandparents' stature.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Bill Belichick's older than my dad.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
And during the break, I'm like Cavino, think of like
a young woman we know it's like twenty something.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah that if she was dating my dad Belichick's older
than my dad, I would.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I would equally like give my dad a fifth and
at the same time be like gross, I'm.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Going to just I don't know say that. Yeah, perhaps
they're happy.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
I'm sure they are, right, and it's probably exciting for
both of them, But there has to be such a
lack of commonality because I experience it. There's only a
fifteen year difference.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
In my relationship.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
And also when you see my relationship, you wouldn't say,
who's that old guy with the young hotty. The age
difference isn't as noticeable. I mean I say that, I
mean you could think that all you want, Spotty. Spotty's
here at Coveno original point of video time nom kidding.
People come up to us like behind the city and
is it fair to speculate? No, but it's a drastic
auge difference, and he's Bill Belichick. Can I can I
(03:38):
give you an analogy that's sort of a it's it's
on pointless conversation, but not to get.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Weird or creepy on you.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
But as we even get older, every time we go
to Vegas, I've known you guys for twenty years now,
spot I met you when I was twenty years old.
We were young guys working together. It's more than twenty
years rich oddly.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, well i've known you. I've known you twenty three
years now. Now.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Crazy thing is when we go to Vegas. Now, there
is a part of me that feels a little weird
at a strip club. I'm like, these girls are like
way young, and plus you're dad. Now, yeah, I'm a dad.
I have two little kids. Changes a little bit you No,
I say to myself, you know, like if you're forty
something year old guy. If you if you're forty and
you see a girl, you know, dance at Spirbit run
and she's twenty, there's gotta be a little part of
(04:25):
any normal person that's like, yeah, this girl's half my age.
So when Bill Belichick's seventy two and this girl's twenty four,
that could very well be his granddaughter.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
And I'm not trying to be a jerk because he
deserves to be happy.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
And you know what, a lot of people will give
him high fives, But there is something a little like,
you're right, what do they talk about Bill Belichick? As
I was Sam was playing the clips. The guy doesn't
even know social media. I can't even watch throwback movies
with my girlfriend because she thinks they're too old.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Who's hot, who's not so hot?
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Not hot? Or not exactly apparently according to TMZ, because
you know, everybody's looking up, well, who this girl right now?
Rob Gronkowski made reference to it at the Tom Brady Roast.
But I'm trying to figure out what was it? What
was that reference? Apparently he made a joke about it.
You can find commonalities. Yeah, and the bed both you
both like to eat. I like food too, oh on,
(05:19):
like I said, and just a general feeling we like
each other. You can still like somebody, but there is
going to be And you're also talking about a guy
who's so focused on football.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
What's your snap.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
On?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
The snapface and all that? Are you on Instagram, instant
chat or whatever it is? Okay?
Speaker 2 (05:43):
So, I mean, hey, I read an article I was
I was looking, uh you know, I was doing my
due diligence besides looking at pictures of Bill Belichick's new
girlfriend during the break, I found an article from the
cut dot com and I thought this was interesting. It said,
for all of Hollywood history, and I know your mom
loves old time movies. Could we know his mom's one
(06:04):
of those people that I only watch black and white movie?
Steven stuff Now is terrible, wasn't James Cagney amazing?
Speaker 1 (06:11):
That's your mom in a nutshell? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
We'll tell your mom miss when she hears about this story.
Old school Hollywood, it would always be young women like
an Audrey Hepburn, who's twenty falling in love with Humphrey
Bogart in his fifties, Gary Cooper, Fred Astaire, we're all
fifty year old guys. All but five of the twenty
six Bond girls were double digits younger than the Man
(06:37):
of mystery himself, which is that interesting looking back. But
this is even more of an age. Of course, men
also looked much older back then. Yeah, and I feel
like there was a there was a much more maturity
in people.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Let me put out my glasses.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
It's funny because I was trying to find more about
you bring up old movies. She's apparently of fan of
old films like he is. But he's watching the nineteen
fifty three Chicago Cardinals and she's in the Cosablanca and
stuff like that. Old but just differently, Yeah, just different stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
She watched it in her film class. He watched it
in the theater.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Fifty years ago. I was saying, we need to use
that music way more often. I know, Oh, happy days
are here again.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Now we'll still take phone calls and your thoughts, Hey,
wish him the best. You can't help but speculate. I mean,
I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
I don't want to judge him because I'm equal parts like, hey,
look at Bill Belichick.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Good for him.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Tell you you know, that's the perfect part of me
as a dude.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
But then the other part of me as a dad
of a daughter is like, like you said, could be no,
at least.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
She's not dating a scumbag, you know, like there could
be that true true.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
You know, all tech seems just I mean, he's a
super successful guy.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I know, we're getting to the game quick. Aside, when
we were in Nashville for our Graduate Hotels broadcast, that
is true. We went out on Broadway, and let me
tell you, Broadway is a mixture of all ages. It's
a party, it is a party scene, and it's not
weird for a forty three year old man to be
in the same bar as a twenty three year old girl.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I remember we left and Spot was talking to some young.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
By no means did I have ill intentions, But I
was just standing there talking because there was a chatty
drunk girl and I was a chatty drunk boy. We
are mixing together more than narration wise, more than ever.
But again, this is seventy two and twenty four. But
I'm just saying me as a forty three year old
guy I had to just from talking to this girl
take a photo with her, because she had the face
(08:34):
of like a child, because she was twenty, like early twenties.
I remember leaving me next to her looks so like
I look so old, and she looks like.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Your face looks like a catchman, It does look like
an old Catchers myth.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Your face looks like a boiled up well Yogi Barris Ketchers. Yeah,
well Bruce Ketcher's mitt. But I'm just saying, like that
difference so to go from like what is it said
you get?
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Where'd you get your face? Benitas antia Igot serious? Yeah,
that would be like you twenty seven years from now
exactly talking to that same girl.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
All right, well think about it. Eight seven seven ninety nine.
A Fox's time to play the game that's sweeping the
nation past.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
This is a little game called Chipotle Worker WNBA player.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
All right, take it, okay, Danny, real quick, I'm sorry
one last thing about the bell check where can I
get packed?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
You interrupted?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Don't you remember he was there was like a ring
doorbell that caught him sneaking out shirtless from someone's place
like a year ago.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, yeah, that's right, I do remember that. All right,
all right, I'm sorry, go on, all good, all right.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
If you heard this game last week, you know we're
giving props to our Chipotle workforce, and you'll learn about
WNBA players because suddenly everybody's an expert. But how many
players do you really know?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah, that's true. I listen.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
I spent way more time at Tipoli. In fact, Danny
g last night, you know overspent, you know thirty five
bucks where my wife and I. So you've spent more
time at Chipoli than actually watching WNBA without a doubt,
I mean, have you all.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Right, let's meet the contestants too, Rich Spot Buyer, Iowa Sam,
and we're gonna go to the studio lines right now.
And by the way, Spot's gonna tally all of our
contestants points.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
I have my grid all ready to go.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
I trow it out, yeah, from the eight rounds, And
as long as Dawn in Massachusetts doesn't come in last place,
he's gonna walk away with a stainless steel CENR Swiggy.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
What's up, Dawn?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
What's up? Guys?
Speaker 4 (10:28):
How you doing? Happy Friday? Hey?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Don let me ask you a question. Have you in
the last.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Six months of your life have you watched more w
NBA games or been to Chipotle.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Well, I've never watched a w NBA game, so I
guess Chipotle.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Okay, there you go, same with me. Maybe I think
it might be twenty five to four. We debuted this
game last week. These are actual Chipotle workers that we're
naming from their database.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
Yeah, perfect, all right, and I and I cross check
to make sure that none of the Chipotle workers had
the same name as a WNBA players.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
All right, here we go. When you were doing this research,
was your wife like, what the hell are you doing?
She asked me that question all the time. Are you doing?
What are you prepping for?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
You?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
I got where do you have Chipotle workers?
Speaker 5 (11:10):
All right, here we go, Coveno, You're up first, right,
Chipotle worker, WNBA player Mercedes Russell one.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
There's a trick there, but WNBA player Rich Mercedes Russell.
I'm gonna go WNBA player as well.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
All right, Spotty, I'm going to go Chipotle worker buyer.
I'll go with Cavino and Rich Iowa Sam, I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Say Chipotle worker Dawn WNB A. Mercedes Russell is a
six to sixth center for the Seattle Star. Nice all right, Okay,
one there.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
All right, Here we go Round two Coveno, Chipotle worker

Speaker 1 (11:51):
I'll go Chipotle worker on that all right, rich, I'm
going WNBA spot.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Oh was it Lindsay Allen? Yeah, yes, it sounds like
it should be a WNBA player.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
So I'm gonna go to Chipotle buyer Chipotle Iowa sam
WNBA don in Massachusetts Chipotle. Lindsay Allen's a five eight
guard for the Chicago Sky. All right, Round three of
Chipotle worker WNBA player Covino. Her name is Kendra Pafford.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Kendra Pafford, Chipotle worker rich an executive on the board
a Chipotle. I'm going Chipotle worker spot. I'm gonna stick
three for three Chipotle worker Bayer. Yeah, it's got to be.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
You can't go three straight WNBA.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
Iowa Sam WNBA don Chipotle. She's a compliance coordinator for
Chipotle in Ohio.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
On the board.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
She's responsible for the caso that came out a couple
of years next. You know they changed that. You know
that tangy orang dressing they changed it. Yeah, I asked
them about it. I'm like tragic. Yeah, I'll complain to
her it's a good dressing, all right, Coveno. Next day,
I knew you would love that dressing. Chipotle Worker, w
NBA player Kirsten Bell. I'm going w n B A Rich,
(13:20):
Kirston Bell. I'm going Chipotle.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
Worker spotty, WNBA honest one Bayer, Chipotle, Iowa.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Sam, Chipotle down WNBA.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
Kirsten Bell is a six to one forward for the
Vegas Aces. Yes, yeah, buddy, Yes, gonna know the entire
w NBA roster of players after a few weeks of
this game. All right, Next up, Coveno Isabelle Harrison.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Again, I feel like it's another trick question.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
W NBA Rich, I'm going Chipotle Spotty, Chipotle definitely buyer
w n B A Iowa Sam, Chipotle Don in Massachusetts Chipotle.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Isabelle Harrison is a six to three guard for the
Chicago Star. Wow. All right.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Next up, it's it Chipotle Worker w NBA player Janelle Schrader, Covino,
Chipotle Rich.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, I'm going Chipotle, and one of these has to.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
Be Chipotle body, Chotle on this fire, Chipotle Iowa Sam.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
W NB Why did you have to bring the streak?
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Don Chipotle.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Janelle Schrader is an area manager for Chipotle in California.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Jell take that get Maybe she hears her shadowt Joe,
give me freak walk.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
I'm not wrong in saying you're completely offended if you
turn this on and you're a w NBA player, right.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Is getting Yeah, that's a nice way to put it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
There, That's why I keep saying it's Danny's idea. No,
it's a good it's a good game.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
W n B A.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Jersey sales may go up from this game?
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Is it any better than when back in the day
we played? Is it a middle infielder or or explore?
Jersey sales have gone up, but uh burrito sizes have
gone down?
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Yes? All right, well cake is a show? This next name?
Does she have a jersey or not? Coveno, Marie Brown.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Chipotle rich. I'll go with coved there, but Chipotle spotty.
It sounds so normal.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
I'm going to go with w n B A buyer,
w n B A Iowa, Sam, w n B A
down in Massachusetts.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
W n B A.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
Marie Brown's a cashier for Chipotle in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
There, get that down and what it's on their database?
Speaker 5 (15:56):
But so you know, it doesn't give the exact city,
it gives her state Sylvania, Pennsylvania. All right, last one
here round eight Coveno, Alana Smith, Chipotle, worker w NBA
player w.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
N B A.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
I'll back him up. Alana Smith w n B A
Botdy w n b A buyer Chipotle, Iowa Sam w
n b A, Don w n b A. Elana Smith
is a six four forward for the Minnesota Lynx. Here
we go, Wow, and now Spotty's doing the math just
to make sure Don didn't come in last place.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
So as long as Don doesn't come in last, he
wins well in last place. Iowa Sam with two I
thought so tied for second and last place me and
dB with four. All right, in middle five goes to
uh Don, So Don nice actually wins?
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Uh rip you had six, Cavino had seven, he Comino.
You all so win a case. So congratulations, Don. You
want to swing in Massachusetts? We did it on behalf
of you. Let me just say this, who do you
think you are? That's right?
Speaker 5 (17:16):
He done it?
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Hey, Don, Happy Father's Day weekend, buddy and joy. Okay,
get that swiggy.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Want you want? Who I think I am?
Speaker 2 (17:24):
I think the Celtic's about to win the whole thing.
That's why, that's why I think I am.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
You know what Celtics tonight is. How the way you're
in Massachusetts. What a day this could be for you.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
You win Chipotle, w NBA Trivia and your Celtics can
win the NBA Finals.
Speaker 5 (17:37):
What a weekend hockey Celtics and I'm gonna put a
dent in his swig in the mail.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
It a happy Father's Day to you, buddy. Thanks for playing.
You're a great champion. Don in Massachusetts, everybody, thank you,
Covino and Rich Fox Sports Radio. I love that game,
Danny g especially since I won my favorite game. Yeah,
Covino was like, this has such a little funt involved
for him.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
I never win last one standing. It's a pleasure. This
is great. All right.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Well, hey CNR on FSR, Now here's something I wanted
to throw out there. The biggest, one of the biggest
contracts in NFL history for a quarterback was signed yesterday.
Literally as we were walking out the door, Dan Bayer
breaks the news to us that Trevor Lawrence signs this
(18:21):
ridiculous contract.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
I have your extension.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
We're two seventy five million fifty five million a year
with two hundred million guaranteed, one forty two million fully
man he fully fully, I mean other than Deshaun Watson.
He's he's up there as far as guaranteed money. We
got to remember Trevor Lawrence. It maybe hasn't worked out
as quick as they wanted. He was the generational guy
(18:44):
a Lah Andrew Luck, Dan Marino like the guy that was,
you know, Peyton Manning. It's still so early, he's still
so young. But as Trevor Lawrence has even said, now
it's time, Now, it's go time. Right, you're paying this
guy over fifty mili. Then you got to ask yourself, well,
aren't you going to pay Trevor Lawrence over fifty million
dollars if guys like Tua and Dak Prescott are going
(19:05):
to make forty something million or close to fifty When
you give Jared Goff that money, it sounds ridiculous. But
the way I see this rich the way you look
at Zillo and you talk about that house that's up
for sale around the corner, You're like, wait a second,
if that house is going for how much that means
my value and my equity has gone up a lot sweet.
(19:27):
And if your Gardner Minshew, you gotta be thinking the
same right now about Trevor Lawrence's deal based on stats alone,
and Danny g called that out. I'd say a few
months ago. I mean, I don't think Gardner Minshew should
be expecting a big deal.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
However, he has a case.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
However, and by the way, you are right when you
see a neighborhood house, My wife and I walk past
the house two blocks from us. I won't tell you
how much, but my wife and I were like, let's move.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
But they can sell for that. My goodness, let's get
the hell out of here. Minshee's stats are so similar
to Trevor Lawrence's, as they said in movie my cousin Vinnie, identical,
actually a little better than Lawrence. Yeah, it just depends.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
And again it's really it's perception, right. This happens at
all sports. I love when Colin does this. You know
our boy, Colin Calhurta on the Herd. I mean, I
think you know them. Colin's great at those blind comparisons
where he gives the stats of a couple guys and
you'd be shocked. You're like, whoa hold on that guy's stats?
Are like identical to that guy's stats. And when you
break down Trevor Lawrence, when you break it down's Gardner
(20:30):
minshew stats two seasons as a starter and Trevor Lawrence's
stats three seasons as a starter. Yeah, I mean passing touchdowns.
You know, Minshew has one more interceptions, Minshew has a
lot less passer rating, Minshew a higher pass rating, pass
attempts a couple hundred less from Minshew games played roughly
(20:53):
the same.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
And if you really do think.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
That Trevor Lawrence those numbers stink just because he was
getting adjusted to the NFL a' Lah Peyton Manning's original
stats stunk, and you think that, you know Trevor Lawrence
is about to break out.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
That's one thing. But Gardner Minshew, if the Raiders have
a good year.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Let's say, and I hate to say this in front
of Danny g but my instinct isn't that the Raiders
make the postseason. But if they did, you don't think
Gardner Minshew has a case to be made if he
has a solid year and the Raiders are a postseason team,
if you take the reputation and the expectations out of it,
because we have this belief that you know Trevor Lawrence,
he is the number one pick.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
You know that he's this elite guy. But when you
look the stats they're the same, then he absolutely has
a case. So look at it this way.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
I love two as an example because it two is
going to get paid, and then you start going team
by team of who's getting paid. If the Giants gave
Daniel Jones forty mil, I'm not saying Minshew is gonna
make even forty or fifty. But if Minshew plays respectable
enough and the Raider seemed to click with the weapons
they have in Antonio Pierce coaching, Danny, I know you
(22:05):
don't want this to be the answer, because I know
you wanted a young dude to sort of mold into
the Raiders system. But what if Minchew wins ten plus
games and has a Baker Mayfield esque vibe and.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
He's a major clubhouse guy, spark plug type of dude.
Do you roll with him for a couple of years
and pay him thirty something? Is he like possibly the guy?
Speaker 5 (22:25):
He's interesting too, which makes it fun following a team's quarterback.
You know, it's funny. Raiders media day, they put the
cameras on him for his media photos, and he was like,
did you see the video of him flipping his hair
and just acting a fool. He was funny, and his
teammates love him so far, and he's been the leader
in the clubhouse so far as the guy they think
(22:46):
is going to walk away with that quarterback battle over
eight in O'Connor. We'll see how that plays out, but man,
I'm not mad at it if he turns out to
be a solid starter, because he's been such a solid backup,
but no team has said, Okay, you are our guy
for the franchise, And if he turns out to be
that at the end of the season, it's going to
be an amazing story.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
It's it's an interesting one because I listen.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Even having this conversation makes me feel a little weird
because I don't want listen. The NFL is the sport
I love and know the most about, so I don't
want to seem like a like an amateur, like, oh,
Gordon Minshew is gonna get paid.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
I get it. He has a reputation of like this
guy could be nobody. His agents are going to make that.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
But what I'm saying is I look at Gardner Minshew
and Dan Byer, you might agree. I look at Gardner
Minshew as like a top, top tier backup quarterback in
the NFL, like the top, like the tippy top tier backups.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
As a starter. I look at him as like middle
or lower the pack.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
But what do I say about Trevor Long If he
has decent numbers and the Raiders made the postseason, would
there be a case to pay him like that mid
level money for a couple of years or is this
just absolutely a.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Holding can pay Gardner Minshew. No, I think that Gardner
Minshew's ceiling.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Is, yeah, what it is. I agree, But that's what
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Like, if the Raiders still like deep down inside, even
if they won ten games, I don't know if they will.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Is there any way that Gardner Minshew's the guy?
Speaker 5 (24:05):
I mean, he doesn't have to be elite because of
the Raiders defense right now. They've made enough moves, especially
getting Christian Wilkins there on the inside to help Max
Crosby out even more. That defense is gonna be a
threat this season. So if he doesn't turn over the
ball a lot, and he plays well and puts just
enough points up the Raiders can definitely make the wild card.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Yeah, I don't think anyone's saying or thinking that Gardner
Minshew is as good as Trevor Lawrence, of course of
the same caliber, but it is eerily similar. It's just
funny good to see how solid he is of a
backup type of quarterback. The blind comparisons or a little shocking,
and all it does is just make you realize, like say, yo, maam,
he's got some good numbers, you know, Either that or like,
(24:46):
you know, Trevor Lawrence is like not that impressive. I
think it might lean more that way. It's two ways
to look at it. But hey, you know what, I
think it would be funny to see the Raiders. Danny
would love it. I would think it's funny if the
Raiders actually played out of their mind and then all
of a sudden.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
It's like, Wow, Minchew's on a winning team. Surprisingly. This morning,
Ben mallor, you guys know him as Moneyball Mallory. Everyone
calls him that.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
He made the point that this reminded him of how
the Pelicans paid Zion, not necessarily because of what he
did on the court for them, because of what they think.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
It could do.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
For me. Yeah, You're you're paying him for his potential
at that point, so it's expected.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yeah, I think.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
I think when you look at those numbers, I'm glad,
thank you for slapping me back into place dB, because
I think it was more of a case of Trevor
Lawrence under delivering and then paying them on potential versus
like Yo, Gardner Mitchew's has the same numbers because the
numbers aren't great, they're just you know, Gardner's numbers are
better than you thought, and then maybe Lawrence's numbers are
not as good as your thoughts.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
So we shall see.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
That's what makes the NFL so damn amazing every year
because crazy things happen, and we shall see. Now coming
up here on cavinon Rich there's a lot to get to.
Did you want to I mean, we got time for
the Savannah Bananas. I know you want to talk about
you can. I always hold that till Monday. There's no
rush on that. So you just have a theory about
the bananas. If you don't know who they are, look
them up.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
I'm sure you do.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
We'll talk Savanna Banana's baby. And there was a cool
chart I saw on social media. I think Barstool put
it out. It was what college has the best sports
to party ratio? Like, what college would you encourage a
kid to go to if they were involved and wanted
two things? A great question because you always undermine and
undervalue a good education. Your whole thing is social value
(26:24):
and how much fun they're gonna have partying well the
really learning thing in college? Or do you just go
there to party and watch sports? Well, when you're paying
for it, I'm hoping that they learn a little something.
That's like the number third, number three. According to Rich,
when you go to college, you say things like number third.
So that's what you get. A Syracuse what college has
the best balance of sports and partying?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
You might be shocked. We'll let you know next right
here on Cavino and Rich.
Speaker 2 (26:47):

On our after show called over Promised.
Speaker 2 (28:37):

sure you check out over Promised and also uncensored by

Speaker 2 (29:04):
CNR Covino Rich Shaw on Fox Sports Radio Father's Day
Weekend coming up, we'll go over some weekend hobnobin in
a few minutes. What to watch this weekend in the
world of sports and entertainment. We're live from the tire
rack dot Com studio again. I'm Steve Cavino. That is
Rich Davis at Covino and Rich on social media. If
(29:25):
you missed our Bonus podcast yesterday, episode fifty one, definitely
check it out. We talked about that show clipped bad
castings and sports.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
By the way, I started watching it, but do you
think good? Right? I really do like it.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
It's about the Clippers, but I hate like that's supposed
to be Blake Griffin. No way.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
But you know what, I hate that. You gotta just
check your brain at the door with that stuff. But
I do like it. Wait till you see Steph. Yeah,
I know, I know, I know.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
I'm not not as good as Winning Time right, but
it's it's agreed. Yeah, it's good though not great, but
it's good.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
I enjoy it. Clip.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
We'll go over what else to watch with weekend Hobnobbin
like I said, and as we go to Dan Buyer
for an update. I know Dan you're a big golf fan. Correct,
that is correct. I saw a video that game buy
a great golfer.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
By the way, I posted a.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Video on my Instagram story at Rich Davis that made
me shed a little bit of a tear.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
I'm an emotional guy. I'm a dad. You love your dad? Right, Well,
Jim nance tells the story behind Hello Friends. Why.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
He says that at the beginning of every golf, football
and anything he calls, he does the Hello friend and
it has to do with his dad.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
And it's a really sweet emotional story. Dan, have you
seen that ever? I didn't see the clip that you posted.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Know, honestly, I don't want you to cry. Do your update,
please don't no need for crying. Watch it after Dan.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Those that wanted to see Tiger Woods play the weekend
are shedding a tier because he's not going to. Tiger's
gonna end up missing the cut. Just wrapped up his
second round at Pine first number two around of seventy three,
very respectable, but it puts him at plus seven for
the championship. Projected cut is at plus five. There's a chance,
a slight, slight chance it could move to plus six,
(31:14):
but again, plus five is likely your number. Actually, we're
pretty pretty solid on plus five, but Tiger's going to
be two off the cut line and not play the weekend.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Let's talk about the other end of the leader board.
The top of it.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Ludwig Oberg and Matthew Pavaughn have the lead at five
under par. Patrick can't Ley, Bryson de Shambo and Tony
Fino and Thomas Dietree are one shot back at four under.
Rory McElroy done for the day, He's at three under par.
A couple of other notables, Xander Schoffley, who won the PGA,
is at one under par and four back. Jordan Speith
plus three, he's eight backs. Scottie Scheffler made the cut
(31:46):
on the number. He is at plus five. Brooks Koepka
right now wrapping up his second round, one hole to play,
he is at plus four, so Kepka, without a huge
plemish on the final one, should be able to make
the weekend game four tonight NBA Finals Celtics and MAVs.
Eight thirty Eastern Time. Cardinals beat the Cubs today three
nothing Astros released veteran first basement Jose Braw College World
(32:09):
Series is underway. A North Carolina top Virginia three to
two in the opener in Omaha. While in college hoops,
Illinois transfer Coleman Hawkins is gonna play at Kansas State.
You're all twenty twenty four you saw it on Fox.
Germany wins the opener over Scotland five to one. The
Washington Commanders signed their first round pick, Costman Trophy winning
quarterback Jayden Daniels to his rookie deal four year deal
wth thirty seven point seven million dollars guaranteed, and Martin
(32:31):
Truex Junior announced he will retire from NASCAR at the
end of the twenty twenty four season.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Guys, back to you, Thank you, Dan Bayer, and have
an awesome weekend.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Man.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Happy for you today, Buddy, Thank you very much to
you guys as well. So travels.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Enjoy it, man, And you know what, I'm also going
to tweet out that Jim Nance story, so Dan, you
could cry on your way home. Perfect but honestly, Cavino, Yeah,
I'm gonna make you watch during the break Jim Nance,
who'd you know?
Speaker 1 (32:57):
Hello? Friends.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Of course, there's a story and it has to do
with his dad, and I believe one of the times
he's told the emotional tale was on the Dan Patrick Show.
So at Covin and Rich at Rich Davis you could
check it out there. Okay, we talked about everything we
wanted to get to today except Savannah Bananas. We'll get
(33:19):
to that on Monday, because we have funny thoughts about that.
But I saw this chart of college sports and college
partying and the intersection of what schools have the best combination,
And do you think that's.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Important for a kid? Did you ever think of that
when you were younger? Because I did.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
No.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Unfortunately, nobody helped me.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
No guidance counselor no parent, nobody helped me think about
what college I was going to. I grew up on
the East Coast, by the way, I think that's a
major part of it, and not too many kids really
ventured off back then. It was almost like, yeah, what
are the schools around here? Rutgers, Seaton Hall, Saint John's,
Montclair State University. I don't know if that was a
(34:06):
Jersey thing when you stay close. All my friends stayed
in the region. That's what I mean, meaning like the
region in the area Syracuse would have been going far
for us. See no, that's I'm saying region. Like my
friends varied from Boston University, Yukon, Syracuse, Maryland, Penn State,
but they didn't leave that University of Delaware, they didn't
leave that pocket.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Of the Northeast.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
I get it if I went back and I could
have had a conversation another conversation about going back. Yeah,
I had these conversations with Mike Kemmy. Now, don't get
me wrong, I love Syracuse. It's actually ranks highly on
this about barstool list of where partying and sports combined.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
You're partying with your earmuf son. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
No one ever told Rich party with his freezy freaky.
No one ever told little sixteen seventeen year old Rich like,
hey kid, maybe you want to go to like Arizona
State or Florida or FSU or Telas.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Now no one wants to go to with Sam. That's
where sports and party and combined they meet the top
five every year.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
You know what, But you know what, I think that
it's not important though, because you want your kid to
have a great education, but you also want them to
have that fun experience.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
So I like that. So where do you value those things?
Speaker 2 (35:16):
You can hit us up at Kvid and Rich because
we're gonna get to some weekend hobnobbing next. But I'll
repost that chart. It's sports and partying. It's a graph
that Barstool put out and see where your college lies
on the chart. And if you do have kids, do
you encourage them to say, hey, if you want that
full college experience, because I think while academics I grew
Covino that is number one. But if you're sending your
(35:38):
kid to college and helping them pay or paying for
the whole thing yourself, if mom and dad, if you're
flipping the bill, you also want your kids to go
to games and party and have a good time. You
don't want them to go to a school where they're like, Dad,
I hate it. Well, you're gonna tell us the highest
intersection of awesome. Well you want to save it for
when we get back real quick. Well, that seems like
a hell of a good teach I'll do that. We'll
(35:59):
just weekend hobnobbing and uh hey, let's get ready for
Father's Day weekend.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
More Covino on Rich next right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
All right, welcome back to Covino and Rich getting ready
for weekend hobnobbing. Right now, We're live from the tyrack
dot Com studio and let Express Employment Professionals help hire
your next pro forget about posting jobs, sifting through resumes,
interviews with unqualified applicants like Rich Davis.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Move up to the pros.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Go to Expresspros dot com, find a location near you
that's Expresspros dot com. And now is time for this
week's Pro Theweek. And man, this week has been so
much fun that we have another Express Pro Pro the Week.
Today's award goes to I'm going with Danny Geez boy, drumroll,
(36:47):
please hold on, La Dodger ti Oscar Hernandez.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Hey what a weekend he had last weekend?
Speaker 2 (36:55):
And then you thought, well, hey he had a hot week.
Three home runs right back, hitting more bombs. Dodgers hit
four home runs in one inning every day. The Dodgers
have to be thanking the Red Sox for this guy.
He's got seventeen dogs right now. I just wanted to
say dogs, seventeen bombs, fifty RBIs. Congrats again to Taoscar
(37:15):
Hernandez for being one of our Express Pros Pro of
the week. He's really solidifying that that lower half of
the Dodgers' lineup and they have a squad and he's
the guy.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Like, what a surprise.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
As a Yankees fan waiting to see all these other
big names do big things, it was him that stood
out to me, so props to him.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
And happy Father's Day weekend, everybody, all right.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Well, any final thoughts, any final thoughts on anything we
talked about today. The college thing I was talking about,
you check thing is going to be controversial. You can
hear a lot of people talk about that throughout the day,
and you know, I lead it with kindness and I say, hey,
everyone deserves to be happy, especially you know, coming out
of a long marriage and you're all and you just
want to have some great rest of your life. He's
(38:04):
seventy two, his new girlfriend's hot, she's twenty four years old.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
He's able to collect Social Security for a decade now.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
But you also have to acknowledge the obvious, and the
obvious is that forty eight forty eight year gap in Medicaid.
She could still be on her parents' insurance and he's
eligible for Medicare. So hey, listen, you gotta gotta give
him props or say hey it's creepy.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
That's up to you.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
But Bill Belichick, we were talking about the college thing,
and wrap that up. Bill Belichick and her went to
college in completely different generations. Huh yeah, Well where did
the party school and academics combine. You know, it's it's
gonna be a lot of those colleges that seem to
just continue to dominate football, like the Georgia's and the Michigans.
(38:51):
But according to the Barstool chart they put this out, Michigan,
Ohio State, UCLA. We always know Florida State about colleges
that have a great party scene and a great sports scene.
So Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, ut LSU, Michigan State, Syracuse, Colorado.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Where's Iowa?
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Wisconsin? Iowa is actually right next to Syracuse. Here you go,
There you go, Iowa Hawkeyes. Right, all right, so it's
let's get into it.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
We can't for the weekend.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
You're winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
You ever done anything dangerous?
Speaker 3 (39:31):
You ever dance with the devil in the panel line?
Speaker 4 (39:34):

Speaker 2 (39:38):

Lightweight strap. Tank is twenty nine to oh twenty seven knockouts,

Hughes classics, it's definitely something you want to check out.

Joining it at the theater. If you got little kids,
Inside Out two comes out. And I thought the first
one was good, dude. It's when anxiety enters the mix
of emotions. That girl Riley's a little more grown up now.
So if you got kids, that's gonna do big things
in the box office. So Inside Out two Bad Boys
for now streaming. You said, Brats, I'm gonna check that out.
(40:59):
The brat Pack documentary David Letterman, who I've always been
a big fan of. He's got a couple of new
episodes of My Next Guest. I watched them both. Yea
fascinating Miley Cyrus and Charles Barkley. Oh nice, Miley Cyrus.
You get a whole new respect for her because you know,
she's just honestly comes across fantastic.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
It's a good mix of people.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
Yeah, And Barkley tells some great stories about Shack his
childhood and coming to you know, coming to the conclusion
of how he feels about his father who wasn't there.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
And Barkley also says Celtics are gonna win it, all right.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Yeah, so Barkley and Miley on Letterman Show. Kate Golden,
