with you. It's beautiful fromday I know.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
And you guys can't see us, but we're matching like
too much, like too much. And we didn't even plan it.
This was my lazy outfit, white tea shirt. He's waiting
to do.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
It was your lazy outfit and it was my plan. Yeah,
so says a lot about me.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Yeah, you know, I had a long workout today and
so I don't if I've told you I'm gonna do
a half marathon. Yes, right, So I'm like, today was
my long run day for the week.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
How long is it?
Speaker 4 (01:48):
I did seven miles today?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah? Yeah? Good? Good for you? Yes, that is positive.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
So when I when I finished, I was like, I
don't want to do anything, you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
I do?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, like seven miles. I wouldn't be here right now.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Ye, chilling.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
You're good. And people don't know, and if they don't know,
you're literally standing up the whole.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
I am standing.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah, you're not that tired.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, no, no, no no, But I was right after and
so like I was looking, I was like, what am
I gonna wear it today? I really don't care, like
you know, but I showered for you, wash my hair
for you because I wanted this to be a fun show.
And then here we are twinsies twin z's and it
was not planned. The Boston Celtics have some twinsies right there,
(02:35):
are they? There's some twinsies a little bit, a little
bit right Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, except one of them
is on the US Olympic team and one of them
is not at the at the s pi's hold on
though he did look pretty good at the Yes he
did with the Kaiser GRANDEZI I think.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Is her whatever her name is, she beautiful.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
She was fine. She was flyn and I'll tell you
that right now. Yes, they both look good, but she
was extra good. So in the grand scheme of things,
I think Jalen Brown is good and you know, but obviously,
a couple of days ago it was announced, surprise, surprise,
Kaali Leonard is not going to participate with the US
Olympic team. Surprise, surprise, Why did we even entertain that
(03:17):
in the first place. I don't understand everybody expected that.
They were like, no, he's not gonna play. Oh you
don't say he's gonna prepare for the season. Thankfully, that's
what they decided. And then they just they said, we
are going to replace him with a fellow Celtic, but
not Jalen Brown.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah. As soon as you heard that we're going to
replace him with the Celtic, you would probably think it
would be.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
The finals MVP. Yeah, that guy, right, the Finals MVP automatically,
And this is no dis to the guy that they chose,
Derek White, who was a very important piece of the
Celtics championship. In fact, there was games where I was like,
that was the MVP of today's game, mister Derek White.
You know, like he one hundred deserved all the credit
(04:02):
throughout that entire run that the Celtics had, But he
was not the Finals MVP, and he is still not
their one two punch. There one two punch Jason Tatum
and Jalen Brown. Jalen Brown not selected and maybe a
little bit upset, but rightfully so, yes, right, yes, like,
how would you feel? I ask you, because you have
(04:23):
actually been a professional athlete, right, so sometimes I think
we would I feel, But I don't care. Who would
you feel?
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Carrie?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
In this situation, I would have sent out a tweet
and pulled up the tweet thirty minutes later, like I
would have at least gotten it off of my chest
really quickly, and then my mom would have said, Carrie,
that's probably not the right thing to do, and I'll
take it down. And I think it's funny because Jaalen
Brown literally said and I think at the SP's his
mom was mad at m Yeah, and I'm sure it
(04:52):
was you.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
It was that, Oh that's so good. I didn't even
connect that. I didn't even connect the two. In case
you missed it. Yes, In fact, let's see if he
has taken anything else down. So Jalen Brown, after this
was announced, he tweeted at Nike and said something like, really,
is this what we're doing? What are we doing? Nike?
He took that down. That is not a thing anymore.
(05:15):
But he had other other ones that he posted others
still up. The first one, I think this was the
first one. It's the emoji with the guy that has
like the the the the bye. What is a little
not a bifocal a magnifying glass like like a Sherlock Holmes. Yeah,
Like after it was announced that Derek White, he tweeted
that three of the like emojis with the like Sherlock
Holmes with the little magnifying glass like huh okay, uh huh.
(05:38):
Then he tweeted the Nike one it's been taken down,
and then he tweeted again, I'm not afraid of you
or your resources.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah. Yeah, he's he's been catching a lot of unwarranted,
unwelcomed attention. And because he's not a guy that sakes
attention at all, we haven't seen that, so doesn't seem
the fact that he's actually tweeting these things, you know,
it's personal and he's starting to feel it now. And
the part about all of this story for me and
with Jalen Brown and you know, Jason Tatum and the
(06:07):
Celtics in particular, outside of the sources and all that,
Nike's Nike, and obviously if they're the brand that's hosting
the Olympics, they do have say so, so if anybody
says they don't, they do.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
They do.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
And so that's I think we all know that. But
the whole thing I have, the issue that I have
with all of this is the pitting of Jalen Brown
and Jason Tatum against each other. These guys have sacrificed
so much together individually as well for their team to win.
So whatever if they don't hang out outside of the sport,
(06:44):
outside of practice, they don't go to dinners and movies
together or to the club like, that's fine. You don't
have to do that to like somebody or be a
good teammate. And so everything I know about them, and
I do know a few things personally, not a lot,
but some. They like each other on the court. They
compliment each other on the court, and they do what
(07:05):
they need to do for each other to win. Jalen
Brown is a guy that has other interests outside of this,
and Jason Tatum does as well. Jayson Tatum's a father,
So there's so many dynamics surrounding that we don't have
to make one person the good person and one person
the bad person. Is not a good versus evil thing.
They are different people that are really good at their crafts.
(07:25):
Let them be. And it is unfair that Jalen Brown
is not on the Olympic team.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
We're gonna put a pin in that because I think
you're onto something of like there doesn't have to be
a good and bad guy, but there does seem to
be a pinning of the Celtics against each other because
Drew Holliday is also on the team. So literally, it's
like you picked everybody except Jalen Brown, and it really
truly makes no sense because if you're gonna replace Kawhi Leonard,
(07:54):
why not replace Kawhi Leonard with a Kawhi Leonard type.
I think they're actually very similar, except Jaylen Brown. It
has always been more explosive. But before we move on,
there is already sound of what Carrie is talking about
that they're trying to pin Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown
against each other, and we got to free you right
here talking about having.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
Jalen han Huh.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
Yeah, I mean there's so many guys that could, you know,
take the last spot or whatever.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
So it is what was what was Jason Tatum supposed
to say?
Speaker 1 (08:30):
He was trying because he is a Nike guy, He's
a Jordan guy. It seems like they fed him this
right before the interview started. And he kind of stumbled
through it and he couldn't really get it out because
obviously Jalen is his guy. He didn't want to offend him,
but he didn't want to offend the brand. It's just
it's all, it's just bad.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
It is bad, but it's not Jason's fault.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
No, no, no no.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
And also I don't blame Jalen Brown for his fight, right,
you know what I mean. It's like it's two separate
guys just happen. People are wanting them to be a
good and bad guy and it doesn't have to be
that way at all. Or they're also like Jalen Brown
against the rest of the Celtics, and it's like, why
does it have to be that way?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Oh man, I don't know. It really upsets me because
I want them to they're two really good guys too.
They're both they don't have any stuff that goes on
off the court, like they're cling in both of them,
both of them. Right, there is no good versus evil here.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
There is no good and people do have a problem
with that with society, Like yes, perfect example, Caitlin Clark
and Angel everybody wants there to be a good guy
and a bad guy, good cop, bad cop already. I
think with like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, they were like,
oh no, they hate each other good guy bad guy.
Like it's never just guys, they're friends. It's cool, like
(09:51):
they're both good guys.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
And that doesn't mean you're not going to have disagreements
or arguments, not at all. That's part of the human
exper experience as well, so that part of it.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
It really is, though a society thing, and maybe like
media pushing narratives because they're bored and they don't know
what else to talk about, so somebody has to be
the bad guy, yes, when in reality this is just
Jalen Brown mad, but it has absolutely nothing to do
with his teammates or the other guys, and it's actually
(10:22):
a much bigger issue that he is trying to fight
and he has fought before. He has he has said
things out loud that Nike would not like, and that's
really what this stems from. And it's just like, don't
make this a Celtics thing. Don't make this a how
are they gonna play next year? They're gonna be fine.
You guys out there want to make this a thing.
(10:45):
In reality, it's not. But Jalen Brown should be upset.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
He has every right to be upset, every right.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
To be upset, every right, And I don't I read
some things where like you know, uh, Grant Hill, like
he said that he gave a very what he's supposed
to say. Of course, right, Oh, it's a tough decision.
It's about what works well and what doesn't, you know,
depending on the team, but very what he's supposed to
say type of thing. It did make me think because
(11:11):
some people, you know, I like reading what fans say.
I like reading what what people are thinking, and they're like, well,
he's just not going to get as much playing time.
And then it was like remember with Caitlin Clark being
snubbed and they were like, well the fans are gonna
get mad because she's not gonna get playing time. Like
that's what that can't that could not have been the reason.
And I honestly feel that like if you told Jalen
(11:33):
Brown that maybe he was gonna come off the bench,
I don't even know if he'd fight it. Because if you,
if you were part of this team full of stars
to go get an Olympic medal, I do feel that
a lot of a lot of athletes will probably get
their ego checked a little bit, just a tiny bit.
And he doesn't seem like the type to be upset,
Like we just said. He seems like a nice guy,
like an easy going dude.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
And on his team. Yeah, it's you know, Jason Tatum
has been you know, wily considered the best player on
that team. Jayleen Brown doesn't have to agree with that.
But even with that being said, he doesn't cause any disruptions,
He doesn't mess up the floorida game. He is a
team player. He would have been perfectly fine at the Olympics.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Perfectly fine at the Olympics. A complimentary piece to anybody.
What are you talking about his explosive How many blocks
do we see during the playoff run where it was
a Lebron style block right coming out of the door.
Because explosive, because he still has it. And Carrie got
some callers that have this.
Speaker 7 (12:34):
Going to set us up Danny and Vermont wants to
weigh in on the Celtics.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
All right, Danny in Vermont, thank you for joining us on.
Coveno and Rich the guys are on here, but I
am Moncey and Carrie, what's up?
Speaker 8 (12:46):
Hey? Not too much? It's an honor to speak with
both of you. Thank you, thank you for having me.
I just think that the Celtics are sort of like
willing to say, Okay, you can have Tata or you
can have Brown, which can't have both, and they're holding
Brown back literally just putting his hand on his shoulder,
(13:07):
saying yea next year or you know whatever, and or
the Olympics four years is it now still or two anyway?
And I think they did the same thing with Kawhi.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Leonard, Well, the Kawhi want.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
I understand, But why do you think they don't want Brown?
Do you think they're just worried about him getting injured?
Speaker 8 (13:28):
Yeah, I think they're just being cautious.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
I see. So you think it goes hand in hand
with Kawhi, even though Kawhi has a history of injuries.
That one fully makes sense. So you just think that they.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Are like, oh, yeah, he's saying they don't want Tatum
and Brown to be at risk for being injured. I
think that's what he's saying. Huh, they want to have
one of those guys still left standing. That's that's his
that would be his point, Danny.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
That's not that's not a terrible point that might maybe
maybe I just feel like Jalen Brown hasn't had any
issues with injuries, like no reason to think that that's
but I like thinking out of the box. Thank you
Danny for calling get another one.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Dang Yeah, JP.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
And Glenville, New York in New York State. He's a
little off topic, Monsei. He wants to say hi to
you and shout out his racetrack. But that's the Covino
and Rich way. We always let callers go out of topic.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Allay, JP.
Speaker 9 (14:20):
Hello, oh Hello, this is a big rebound from the backboard.
I'm in Saratoga, New York, in Upstate New York, and
I spoke to you guys before and hello Marx.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Wow, that was perfectly said. Hello.
Speaker 9 (14:39):
I work as the famous Upstate New York Sarahtoga Racetrack
in Sarahtoga, New York, and forty days in the summer
we host some of the biggest thoroughbred horse races there is.
And this year we had the Belmont Stakes because Belmont
is undergoing construction and I work for the emissions depart
(15:01):
it and I'm telling you I have the best job
in the world.
Speaker 6 (15:06):
The characters that come through the racetrack.
Speaker 9 (15:08):
Every one of them is different. They are so.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
Happy to be there.
Speaker 9 (15:12):
I feel like I work in a movie.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Well they you JP, I'm happy about his uh he
has he has the best job in the world. I'm
going to disagree. I think we have the best job
in the world. That's the only thing I'm going to
disagree on there. Even though I have feelings otherwise about
horse races, I just I just just really like the
you know, animals and all that. But JB, thank you
(15:39):
so much for Colleen, and uh, we appreciate it. I hope.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
I feel I should have just laughed out that that part,
because I mean, he's a New York guy. Didn't even
say what's up to me? That's just that's weird. He
went great to you, Manta. That's what happens when you,
Oh you did not.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Know you were a former All Pro safety of the
New York jobs.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I guess not. And he's a New Yorker. He's just sad.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
It is just that out. He's probably like, oh, my goodness,
that Carrie Rhoads. That's who was there. He knows now
now He's like, man, I'm going to name a horse
after carry Roads just to make up for it. Oh okay,
back to Jalen Brown and the Celtics and the US
Olympic team and all of that. I I really hope
(16:22):
that we stop making this a narrative soon, that it's
him against his teammates, because that's not it at all.
And he's fine. He was at the SP's last night
looking real good, looking real good, with Kaiser on his arm,
looking real good. And there were rumors that they had
(16:43):
like been spotted together. Did you did you hear the room? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Like, oh no, they were already you know, yeah, it was.
It was already becoming a thing. She was at the
parade with him.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Yes, she was at the parade.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
It was already out there and yeah and even before.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
That, like when if that spotted them, like I think
or something. Yeah, and then so then at the parade
and then there there she was on his arm. Uh.
And he he accepted an award.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
He won an award for the best Championships. I think
it was something like best Championship Plays, something like something
like that. But you know the crazy part about that is, yes,
she stole the show on his arm, and he did
look good.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
He did.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
I didn't even know that he had the championship trophy
with him at all. I didn't notice that at all
because I saw her and so I didn't see the goldenen.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
I definitely was just staring at her. I did not
look at anything else was eyes Kaiser and her outfit,
and she was slaying, slaying. I know that. In the
first hour we talked about unwritten rules. Here's an unwritten
rule that I actually, like, I cannot stand. And it
happens more and more. Take your sunglasses off when you're indoor.
(17:52):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, your sun glasses off.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Like it.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
You know, Jack Nicholson did it for years and years
and years and years at Laker games and it was
like his thing, right, like you're going all right, well,
Jahann Nicholson, I don't get no goods. And so my mom,
who like sometimes keeps her sunglasses on because she thinks,
like I don't know that she can be sneaking, like
I don't know, look at people and they don't she
doesn't know that she's looking at them. And I'm like, Mom,
you are not Jack Nicholson. Take your sunglasses off. You
(18:19):
are not Jacnicolson. And that's the only one that I accept.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Your wit that they get a load of me.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Yes, like literally literally, and then I tell her mom,
nobody does it, and now everyone does it, so I
can't tell my mom to not do it. If we've
got Jayleen Brown still wearing sunglasses and uh, who else
did I see yesterday during the ASSAD, like take your
son glasses off?
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Your mom was ahead of the curve.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
She was ahead of the curve. That's really what it is,
because she's been doing it free year.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
I literally always just told her you're not Jack Nicholson.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
Well she proved that she was.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
She she didn't even care what I said.
Speaker 7 (18:53):
There's another exception, though, the other you're the drummer in
the band, you remember that that thing you do? He
gives them the sunglasses. He's like put these on. He's
like why he because you're the drummer.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
You're the drummer. Okay, yeah, that's cool moment.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
But if you're performing, okay, fine, fine, if you're performing
in any way, shape or form, I guess you can
keep your sunglasses on. But don't just have your sunglasses
on indoor because you feel like I don't know, I
don't know. It's an unwritten rule that I'm just not
a fan of.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
You don't like that one.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
I don't like it. I don't like it. Watch I'm
gonna start wearing sunglasses indoors. I can't. All right, everybody,
you are listening to Fox Sports Radio, Cavino and Rich
not here. I am Mancias alongside former All pro safety

on this Friday and we are coming to you live
from the tyrac dot com studios. We were just talking
(21:59):
about Jalen Brown, the Celtics being snubbed because your husband
from the US Olympic team, and I think Danny g
You said, We've got some callers that want to chime
in here before we move on.
Speaker 7 (22:10):
Yeah, one about the Celtics, and then a couple of
calls in a row that say they want to give
Carrie a question in some love yeahs, since that dude
in upstate New York kind of ignored it, well, we'll
start with the Celtics topic. James in Virginia.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
James in Virginia, thank you for calling the Caveno and
Rich the Coveno and Rich Show. I can't talk anymore. Hi,
just say CNR No, I don't want to say CNR.
Speaker 6 (22:36):
HI.
Speaker 8 (22:37):
Thank you for taking my call.
Speaker 12 (22:38):
Y'all.
Speaker 6 (22:39):
Happy Friday, man, So Luca Commanders, Mancia, you have.
Speaker 12 (22:41):
Firework, man, you can at bit. Thank you crazy so
so firework yo. But to me, man, you guys, let
me think about something. And they've been trying to pick
Tatum and Brown against each other for the longest time,
remember a couple of years ago, at least like the
last two three years. They're like, yo, you gotta trade
one of these guys. Do it together. They don't mess together.
(23:02):
So I feel you about that. Good person's bad. Now
they're a good teand them together obviously they got that championship.
But please tell me this, Please tell me, y'all don't
believe this Olympic.
Speaker 8 (23:11):
Team is better than the Dream team.
Speaker 12 (23:13):
Please tell me y'all don't know, absolutely.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Not, absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
We don't think we're with you. We're with you on
that one.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
And thank you for the call. Yes, listen, he makes
a good point. I forgot about that that they were
for a while being like you got to trade one.
This isn't working.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
They don't.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
They don't mix well together. And no, it was just
a matter of give it a second, give it time.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
But yeah, yeah, they try to things. It's such a
you have to have results right away. Business. Yes, but
that's not how it is. No, if you go all
the way back in time, teams have to go through
the growing pains together to win, and that's part of it.
Speaker 11 (23:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
I like that. I like that caller, thank you, we
got more. Yeah, but not about me, right, it's about it.
Speaker 7 (23:55):
Yeah. I was gonna say, yes, we'll go to the
ass carry portion of the show, starting with Mark and
North Cacilaca, Calacca.
Speaker 13 (24:06):
What's up Monseley?
Speaker 1 (24:07):
What's up?
Speaker 13 (24:07):
Carry?
Speaker 1 (24:07):
What's how you doing? Brother?
Speaker 6 (24:09):
Hey man?
Speaker 13 (24:10):
This this should be a daily show with you too,
Elli break together man?
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 7 (24:17):
He didn't say what time you should be got some
wee hours of the morning slid right before Ben Miller.
Speaker 13 (24:25):
Yeah, you don't want to start as early as two
prosent a cup.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Absolutely not, Carrie.
Speaker 13 (24:34):
I wanted to ask you, man, my hero is Tom Brady,
uh huh. And I was just wondering, man, have you
got any stories about being out there against Brady?
Speaker 6 (24:45):
You were with the Jets, and.
Speaker 13 (24:46):
I wanted to ask both of you, how do you
feel like Tom Yellow Boats in the media. How do
you feel like Tom is going to do in the
Boost with Fox this year?
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Well?
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Number one, Tom in the booth is going to be great.
He's very knowledge the boy he has. He has a
great personality and so he's gonna give the audience a
little sneak peak of greatness there. For sure, he'll be good.
And as far as me playing against him, yeah, man,
I played againt him twice a year for a long time.
You know, he didn't instill fear in me early, but
(25:17):
as he got as I played more and more against
him and really saw his greatness as he got better
at you know, not just checking the ball down and
you know, taking taking some deep shots, he puts fear
in you at that point. And then also in the
off season. I have a great story off season training
here in California. We trained together in the off season,
so I got to know him really well and his
(25:39):
his his ex wife as well, because she would work
out right before. So I know a lot of stories
about Tom that you know, he was always hard work,
I always there early.
Speaker 7 (25:47):
Which x wife.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
The most recent the most recent? Yes, yes, yes, so
the supermodel yes, the supermodel one. So yes, I did.
And I did know him well man, hard worker, great dude,
and and and actually has a really great personality too.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
And that's why I think he's gonna be good in
the booth. He seems like he has a good personality.
And you the people who hate him hate him because
he's so good exactly, not because of the type of
person he is. So I think he's actually going to
be successful.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
He will be good.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Maybe we can have him right here between us.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
We might try to get him.
Speaker 7 (26:14):
He's a fox guy. Yeah, and no surprise here we
have a Kentucky caller. Yes, talk about the cardinal Daryl
in Louisville.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (26:24):
Yeah, I just want to shout out, Terry be a
Louisville Cardinals. I appreciate you your time here with us
and and the way you're rapt us in the league. Man,
So I want to give you a little love.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Daryl. I appreciate that you got to have a bourbon
for me too. Man. I know we're you know, in Kentucky.
I know that the bourbon's flowing. Well, I don't know
if you're if you're a drinker, but if you are,
it's a Friday. I don't drink anymore, So toast toast
me a bourbon and have one for me and for
our cards. Man.
Speaker 6 (26:54):
Well, I can't drink that bourbon I did have a question.
Speaker 12 (27:01):
Carry yes, sir, you as happy as I am to.
Speaker 6 (27:03):
Have one of our own. Jeff brob hearing the shift.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Man, you have no idea. I Brohm was there. He
was actually one of my close, like close friends on
my teams when I was at Louisville. He was the
quarterback coach there when I was there, So I know,
I've known him for a while, saw him recently when
I went to visit, and man, he's he's he's a
fiery guy. He's a Louisville guy through and through, and
he's gonna he's gonna bring he's gonna bring you guys.
(27:29):
I'm gonna say this on there. He's gonna bring you
guys a championship soon. And I really love what he's
doing there.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
I definitely agree with that.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Yeah, I appreciate you, Daryl Man. I have a good one, man,
And thanks for that. Go cards, all right?
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Look at you just get all of a sudden you say, oh,
they didn't call for me, and all of a sudden
we get calls for you.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
That's how you do it.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Is that how you do it?
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Just Okay, I did a little shoulder things they did
they didn't.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Yeah, she got very excited.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Everybody.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
He was very thank you to everybody whose calls. We
appreciate it. Now let's move on to a different, a
different topic of conversation. I mean they are a one
two punch, but a different one two punch that a
lot of people don't like. Deon Sanders in Shador Sanders
Colorado Buffalo's recently they both had comments, but there's one
(28:15):
set of comments that really had fans going crazy on
social media and we had the sound this is Shadoor
Sanders in terms of him.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Operating with a certain obligation. Does that sort of flow
over to you as his son and being in the
spotlight as you just answered that, it's a different level
in how you feel you have to perform.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Do you have an obligation to perform at a different level?
It been there since day one.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
I remember first media day when I was in HBCU,
I said, well, if you won't lose a game, I'm
undefeated in the slack, so I already know what the
expectation comes with. I know where everybody's super Bowl, so
I'm really good forces I always stay level ahead and
stay grounded because I just I would never want to
(29:00):
be that guy look back and not being able to
take ammended to the moment.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
That we have right now.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
So there were a couple of a couple he was
cappin in a couple of statements there. I try to
stay levelhead. Super Bowl in the same breath and the
same breath, but where everybody's super Bowl is what people
got very upset about. And to me, I don't think
he's cappened. Yeah, it is a very weird thing because
(29:28):
the Buffaloes ended what four and eight last year? I
think in the conference they were one in eight. No boy, no,
like they they didn't do anything, and it was a
very hyped up story because they won week one, deon
Sanders being the coach, like a very hyped up story
that had momentum, and it quickly died down because they
didn't keep winning and they weren't good in comparison to
(29:50):
other schools. But I do believe that people approach them
and want to crush them every single time.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Every time. And you say you start out, you start
out to and know they beat the runner up for
the national championship the year before in TCU that first game,
so automatically you're saying it like oh, oh, they may
have something, and then you get to you get to
real life, and you start seeing that these guys are
now coming after you and you're not. You're not a
(30:18):
shock or a surprise anymore. Then it's a whole different story.
But there is some truth to it. But they brought
all of this attention and all this, all this hatred
and super Bowl. This is our super Bowl thing. This
they brought it up. They brought that on themselves.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
One thousand percent. They brought it on themselves. But it's like,
it's crazy for people to want to attack them so
hard when they're not Alabama, they're not Michigan, they're not
the Yankees, they're not the Cowboys, they're not the Chiefs.
But people do want to get at them. So like
people are like, that's not true. No, no, y'all, it is.
Speaker 12 (30:49):
No, it is.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
I don't know if it's the super Bowl, it may
be the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
But but they look at that game as a game
that they want to crush and come out victorious. Yes,
Isaac Lowencron always comes out victorious and everything he does.
Speaker 11 (31:02):
Yeah, including now, because we're gonna lead off with a
Carrie Rhodes update. Oh this is in honor of our
caller moments ago, inquiring about Carrie playing headhead against Tom Brady.
So right now, we're going to take you back to
week two of the two thousand and six season, the
(31:24):
Jets hosting the Patriots, and the late great dick Enberg
at the microphone.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Should they come from the corner, zenafumble, Yes on.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
The Jets seem to have it, wait for the officials.
Carry Rhoades came in on a safety blitz, blind sided
Brady a La spikes by buff.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Oh the Jets have the ball. Yeah, yeah, nicely done.
Speaker 11 (31:53):
Carry was so modest, and in talking about Tom Brady
he never mentioned that he stripsacked him.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Oh I am modest. I just wanted some attention because
Mossy was getting it all. But yes, I get it.
So modesty just wagged his finger the walk off.
Speaker 11 (32:13):
At other general, speaking of New York sports, that's where
we begin. Because of the NBA ESPN reporter this afternoon,
Nicks starred Jalen Brunston has agreed to a four year,
one hundred and fifty six million dollar extension. Bronson could
have waited until next summer to sign a five year,
two hundred and sixty nine million dollar extension, but basically
sacrificed one hundred and thirteen million dollars in order to
(32:37):
give the Knicks more salary flexibility. In Major League Baseball,
Pittsburgh Pirates rookie phenom Paul Skeens was named the starting
pitcher for the National League in the All Star Game
of this coming Tuesday. Skiens at eleven starts this year
six to zero record, one point nine zero e er.
He struck out eighty nine batters in sixty six and
a third innings. Finally, Manci and Carrie beginning to trend
(33:02):
right now is San Francisco forty nine Ers running back
Christian McCaffrey. Now, it seems an old TikTok video has
surfaced of McCaffrey essentially doing play by plus.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
His wife's makeup of his wilde.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Olivia Culpo putting on her makeup.
Speaker 11 (33:20):
Now, this was originally on TikTok, but since it was
reposted on Twitter a short time ago, it's already garnered
three point nine million views. So again, this video is
of Culpo putting on her makeup and McCaffrey describing.
Speaker 14 (33:34):
It gars me as I put my makeup on, I
take the stick, I put it under my eyes. Then
I put it under my on my nose. Then I
put it under under my nose, on my chin. Tan
stuff on my forehead, tan stuff. Take this egg shaped thing,
blot it in under my eyes. This doesn't change anything,
but yuess it does. Nine Tasti's oil in this silly
(33:55):
putty pink silly putty. I put oil on top of
that again once again, put the egg on my face,
really over my eyes.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Beat my head this egg.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Oh my, that is rough slooting out there. Let me
tell you we're not beating our head with an egg,
but that's pretty good. Thank you for listening to Cavino
and Rich Monceys and former All Pro Safety carry Roads
in for the fellas uh and coming up next, we're
gonna do our weekend hobnobbin Yes, and we're coming to
(34:27):

go anywhere Fox Sports Radio. You are listening to Caveno
and Rich, but no, I am not Coveno or Rich.
I may sound like it, but am not. I am
Monty alongside former All Pro Safety carry Roads. Thank you
(34:47):

(35:10):
Express Pros Pro of the Week. Ghost too, of course.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Pulls that night.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Yes, Paul Skids, I mean you guys can't be mad
at that decision. That guy is killing it in baseball
and was just nominated or selected to be the starter
for the NL in the All Star Games. So Paul Skiings, congratulations,
you are the All Pro of the Week for sure.
But now it's time for our weekend hob hob nobbing
(35:41):
things that you should be watching this weekend in the
world of sports and entertainment. We're gonna give you what
we think you should be watching, and I'm gonna start.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
With you're winning bets for talking points. If you get
stuck socializing, you.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
Ever done anything dangerous?
Speaker 3 (35:57):
You ever dance with the devil in the pale line
Friday brings us.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
We can hob now I have imaging, and I will
use it.
Speaker 7 (36:07):
Manti when you fill in sometimes for Dan Bayer. Yeah,
you're already in your car at this point.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Yes, yes, yes I am sometimes, or I'm talking in
the hallway to Bree. I'm not even far. I'm just
not in my sea. I'm doing something else. And also
because I'm probably gonna tell you that I'm gonna watch
ninety Day Fiance and you guys already know that, so
I just feel like you want Menna tell you once
again what I'm gonna watch this weekend. All right, Well,
let's start in sports, and this is actually for today
if you don't feel like going out, I believe it's
(36:34):
gonna start in about thirty minutes. Ronnie James is gonna
be making his Las Vegas Summer League debut with the Lakers. Carrie,
are you into this?
Speaker 5 (36:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:48):
I just want for his sake to finally. I hope
he's not on social media because he's been catching it,
but I want people to give this guy a chance. Man,
it's I get emotional looking at all the tweets. I'm
tired of it. Let him play.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
It is tough to read. He is getting a lot
of heat and unfortunately he's not even asking for the
not at all. So yeah, Brownie James is gonna make
his Las Vegas Summer League debut today. Don't miss it?
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Yes, so yes, I agree with you. And now since
you win sports, I'll go entertainment, all right. And so
the entertainment that I'm most looking forward to today and
this weekend, but probably today.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
For me, you gotta do today.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
I'm going tonight to go see the new horror movie
starring Micah Monroe and Nick Cage called Long Legs.
Speaker 13 (37:37):
I am.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
I cannot wait on the board.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
Are you going today? I'll go with you if you
go tomorrow?
Speaker 1 (37:44):
You want me to prolong my excitement four days?
Speaker 13 (37:47):
I do?
Speaker 4 (37:47):
Is that too much to ask for?
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Sean?
Speaker 4 (37:50):
And I will go with you. We do a little triple,
a little triple day or not triple the trio whatever,
I don't know, whatever that is.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Yeah, man, man, are you dating?
Speaker 4 (37:59):
That's alright?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
You get y'all go.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
That's not right.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
I was like, I'm going tonight, then I'm going tonight.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
No, No, we'll go with you if you go tomorrow.
I do want to see you, know you do. I'm
so excited about it. They better give me better give
me nightmares.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
I don't want those.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
The scarier the better, But yeah, I agree with you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, guys,
what you got for this weekend?
Speaker 7 (38:19):
Netflix? All eight episodes of Receiver are out really good
and surprisingly I like Hard Knocks off season New York
Giants even more, which I didn't think was going to
be the case, but since that starts in January, it's
more about the front office and then building the team,
so you kind of feel like a fly on the
wall as they're putting the roster together, which is a
(38:40):
very cool angle to Hard Knocks. So check that out.
And Apple TV. New episode out today for Presumed Innocent. Oh,
it's that new show with Jake Jillen Laws.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
I'm into it.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Oh it's if you.
Speaker 7 (38:53):
Like crime thrillers, you're gonna love this great cast, So
check out Presumed Innocent. And finally, for me, Netflix has Sprint,
which is a docu series following the fastest men and
women in the world. So if you're getting Olympic ready
right now, that is awesome to check out as these
athletes prepare for Paris.
Speaker 12 (39:11):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (39:12):
I like that, Chris, do you have anything?
Speaker 2 (39:13):
This weekend for me is all about soccer. Soccer, soccer
and more soccer. Sunday we have the finals in not
just European Championship, but also the Copa America, where we
just saw fights in the stands a malice in the palace,
except it was Miami after the Columbia Uruguay game, which
was very funny. But yes, I think it is three
(39:36):
pm Eastern. We're gonna have England and Spain. I'm so excited.
This is the biggest thing I have seen. This is
an England team that I just repeatedly doubt. This is
Spanish team I didn't even think too much of. Both
have gone through hell to get to the top.
Speaker 6 (39:51):
Here.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
It's going to be a tremendous match. And then Colombia
and Argentina. Columbia, who holds the longest unbeaten streak in
the SPA right now against Leonel Messi.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Yeah, no, that's gonna be good on the same day,
on the same day.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
I'm so there.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
And then I just have some other old movies to
catch up and I'm trying to even remember the name
it off the top of my.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
Head, and I can talk.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
Well, if you think of it, let us know. I
got one more for you. If you're into The Boys.
The fourth season is out and I think episode seven
released either today or last night, so they're releasing the
last two. But it's episode seven The Boys, season four.
Great show if you haven't watched it, start from the beginning, though,
because it's so good.
Speaker 5 (40:34):
So good.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
I will do that. But I just want to say
something about Chris. I've found out that Chris is really
violent today. I'm violent today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, like you
like violence. You wanted to jout somebody earlier. You you
like the fight in Miami, the guys in the stands.
It runs in the bluff.
Speaker 7 (40:55):
You guys started the show by talking about WNBA New
York at Chicago Saturday.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
Yeah, they just say they're going to play again. This
is like right before they take a month break for
the Olympics. So you are soaking in the last of
the WNBA first half of the season. Do not miss
out on that one. When is that Danny on Saturday?
Speaker 1 (41:16):
The Sky on the Liberty Saturday Morning?
Speaker 4 (41:17):
All right, Well it's Friday today, Cavino and rich Warton Here,
I am Mansi Blanos alongside All Pro former safety former
Carrie Rhoades, who you're going to be back on here
Sunday with Jason fits on Sunday Correct from noon Eastern
to two nine am Pacific. I will be back tomorrow
with Steve Hartman at six eastern three pm Pacific. Thank
(41:41):
you so much for hanging out with us. We appreciate it.
Have a great Friday. Grab a cocktail, grab a snack.
Thank you, Happy Friday. Fox Sports Ready
