Speaker 4 (02:06):
We are carry the middle of July, approaching the MLB
All Star Break, a time when I think people think
sports is kind of slow, right, but I feel like
that's actually not happening, and it has to do. I mean,
soccer has been great. If you're into tennis, Wimbledon has
been great. Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic are gonna see each
other in the final once again.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
But more importantly, I don't know what your timeline looks like.
On x slash Twitter, it is all w NBA left
and right.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
It's a lot of it, yes, a lot.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Of it, a lot of opinions, a lot of feelings.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
A whole lot of fis You guys didn't see my face,
but I was like, yes, yes, whole lot of feelings.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
But I don't mind. I like there's a lot of
people out there.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Obviously when feelings get involved, they get a little bit like, okay,
well I can't take you seriously, But there is still
a lot of really good discussion out there when it
comes to the WNBA, whether you're talking about the Las
Vegas Aces maybe not living up to their expectation being
two times WNBA champions, Or you're talking about Caitlin.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Clark and how the Fever are just kind of figuring
it out.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Or you're talking about Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky
and everything's surrounding them.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
If you've missed it, Angel.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Reese is recording a double double like every other game.
She's got fifteen consecutive double doubles, and it's caused such
a conversation on social media a lot of people saying
that she's stat patting. Now, there was a game earlier
this week against the Atlanta Dream. In case you missed it,
the Atlanta Dream was up by seven points with about

(03:40):
or excuse me, the Chicago Sky were up by seven
points with about seven seconds to go. Angel Rees only
had nine points at that time. Now, you typically would
see a team just dribble out the ball, sure, call
it out, and then that's it. In fact, that was
the exact opposite. Angel Rees got in a position, started
getting demanding the ball from Kennedy Carter.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
She gets it, the Atlanta Dream foul her.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
She gets points ten and eleven on the free throw
line as the clock expires.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Maybe that is stat Patty.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Tell me what you feel. MONSI right here, it actually
does not.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Bother me because I'm not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
If I was Angel Reese in that position, I probably
would have done the same thing to keep my streak going.
I was also the person rooting for the forty nine
ers last year when they were playing the Jaguars and
they were up by a ton, and they put Christian
McCaffrey back in so that he could break the consecutive
touchdown record. He was at seventeen and he would have
broken it. So I think he tied it, or like

(04:38):
he did break it by one. But I was all
about it. I was like, put him back in, let
him get the touchdown.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
So I am not mad about it. Now. Some people
are out there like, oh, it's disrespectful to the game.
It's this, this, and that. I do think it diminishes
a little bit of her accomplishment. But she still has it.
She's there, she's got it.

Speaker 7 (04:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
No, you know what.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I I'm a purist when it comes to sports as well.
I don't think you actively go after anything. But right
now I'm with you. I'm like, forget that, go get
it number one. We're talking about the WNBA. Yes, we're
talking about Angel Reese on a worldwide on a worldwide basis, right,
people are literally tuning in to see if she's going

(05:20):
to get this next, and so anything that's advancing the
WNBA and giving those women a chance to be in
the line lag and then at the top of X
every day, which is a huge thing. We didn't have
any of that last year, not at all. And so
for that to be a topic day in and day out.
If she can go out and keep this street going,

(05:41):
keep going after it. And the Dream didn't have to file.
They didn't if she was gonna get it, larr get
it anyway. So you know, just it's you know, it
makes it fun, It makes it exciting.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
For me, exactly.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
I'm glad you brought up that the Dream didn't have
to fil No, they did not have to fail. She
could have attempted a hook shot, a layup or something.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
You know, she was right in the key. She could
have done that. They fouled her. And then when she
made her first shot, one of the dream Players who
was standing started clacking. Yes, oh, the dream Players started
clapping for her.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
And it's like one that's awesome because she knew what
was happening, and it was Kid's camp was going on
this week, which is why all the games started so early.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Like on the West Coast it was eight thirty in
the morning the first game. Did you know that?

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I did not say eight thirty in the on the.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
West coast and the East Coast was eleven thirty five.
I guess it was kids camp week, so like they
bring all these camps. It was just so great, so
like everybody was so excited. Everybody was it was a
really fun moment. But the Atlanta Dream player waiting to
rebound started clapping for Angel Reese.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
So with that, though, do you think the problem there?

Speaker 4 (06:42):
That's actually what I think is the bigger problem in
the scenario is people that are watching.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
That were like, this is why we can't take the
WNBA seriously.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Because in the NBA, I don't think we would have
seen an opposing player clapping.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Like that, not for somebody that's playing actively like in
their prim I'm more a rookie. No, we've seen situations
where yes, for for.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Stuff like that, stuff like that Kobe in his farewell tour,
like rip, we still love and miss you Kobe every day.
But yeah, like, that's not normal, right, and that is
that is actually the one where i'n like, that's where
people are gonna say, this is why we can't take
the w seriously and in reality, it's like, I get it,
but let's push that aside. Let's push that aside and

(07:29):
go back to this pat statu, the statting of.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
The pat that's stat patty, stat Patty.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
Yeah, stat Patty. It really is, it really is. But
the bottom line on that it's an unwritten rule. Didn't
break a rule.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
She just did something that we typically do not see
or expect because it's an unwritten rule.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
But this unwritten rule truly does not bother me. Carrie.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, the unwritten rule part of it is fine, right,
that's that's fine. We get it. In the annals of history,
you don't do that. But we're breaking ground. We're breaking
history right now. These girls are these women excuse me,
I don't let me not say girl, these women are
are fine.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
But I get what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I understand are competing and getting after it and actively
trying to advance this game to a point where again,
like I said, we're all talking about it now and
so that's never happened that hasn't happened with the Houston comments.
Back in the day, those teams and Canthia Cooper and
those and those women going out and winning championships back back,
nobody was invested on this level. The fact that we

(08:33):
are invested in this right now is a beautiful thing.
And I'm all for, to be honest, just keep keep going,
keep breaking it.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
That's what I'm saying. I get that, Like, uh, but
she did this, she did.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Who cares, Like, let's just move on from it and
let's see how much she can actually get because again,
it wasn't just her by herself.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
The Atlanta Dream one hundred percent helped her do that.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Starting the class so good, But there are other unwritten
rules carring sports in life that really like get to
me where it's like, like I said, this one doesn't
bother me, Like I understand that, Yeah, that's that wasn't
the right thing to do based on the history and
like you were winning and there was nothing that was
gonna change you winning, right, But there are other unwritten

(09:15):
rules that really like grind my gears you have, I
have a ton listed if you are listening, and there
is an unwritten rule that bothers.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
You call in ddy G. Can we take calls on
this one? Yeah, Daddy G will handle the phones. Thank you.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
If you're if there's an unwritten rule that you cannot
stand in sports in life, or maybe you feel the
same one and you're like, I'm not bothered by Angel
Race doing this, give us a call, let us up.
But I would tell you one that really, really, really
really bothers me so much.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
And this is in life, life life, in life, a
life unwritten rule, got it? Okay, let's if you.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Are in public and you want to listen to something
on your phone, put some damn headphones on. I don't
care what you're listening to. Really, I truly don't. And
this happens everywhere.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
There was a time I was in the sauna carry
at the gym and.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
This guy and girl together were listening to separate things
on their phone with no headphones.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
First of all, how are you both listening to separate things?
You're together, and you're annoying that, you know what, out
of everybody?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Wow, I think this goes I think this goes double.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
If you're taking a phone call on speaker like I've
been way too many times in the supermarket and someone
is talking on it like it's an old next one
of those old nextells or something. It's like, I don't
need you on a walkie talkie. I do not care
what this conversation is. I'm looking for Rice.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Well, I got a bump. I gotta yeah, I know
I'm looking for right. I gotta interject though, because what
if their speakers, what if they're speaker on the phone
isn't working and they have to use the speaker.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
You know, there is there's something you can do with
the phone. Carry You can just put it right up
to your ear like this, Oh it's really low, it's broken,
and that's broken, then you should probably be looking at
new phone one hundred percent.

Speaker 9 (11:00):
Right.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
I actually did for a hot second.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
I had my iPhone that you know how Apple wants
you to get a new iPhone every six months, not
just kidding, but they really force you to get one.
My earpiece was broken and the only way I could
speak with somebody was on speaker, and I was so
embarrassed about it. And then also like I'm talking to
my mom, so I'm yelling to make sure my mom
can hear me.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
I'm yelling in Spanish people think we're fighting. We're not.
That's just how we talk to each other. And so
I get it. But that one it doesn't bother me
because I've done it. I've done it.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Did You know?

Speaker 6 (11:32):
What's even worse is when somebody has a family reunion
on FaceTime sitting right next to you at a restaurant.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (11:39):
I was inside a a pizza place a parlor in
LA and the family next to us, they literally were
having a reunion on FaceTime and everybody was taking turns
on FaceTime and we were in a lot of the
FaceTime shots.

Speaker 7 (11:51):
I'm waving, like you know what I mean, This is
so rude.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
You don't do that when you're out in public and
there's other tables right next to yours, right, I.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Don't the whole thing with the phone, the loudness, Like
I'm just like, please use headphones, step away, step aside.
You don't have to do it in the middle of dinner.
You don't have to do it in the middle of
a sauna, right, Like, you know, I just don't get it.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Manci what if it was a song that you liked
as well, would you have been dancing or you would
have been just as irked by what they were doing.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
So I would have probably like enjoyed it, and then
when it was over, I'd be like, that's great, Now
turn it off.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
You know what I'm saying, like that, thank you so
much for that, Like, let's turn it off.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Got it all right?

Speaker 5 (12:29):
I haven't. I have another one that.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Does grind my gears, even though we haven't seen this
happen in a while. But it's a baseball one, which
is I think everybody agrees on this one, don't bunt
when there's a no hitter on the line. I feel
like that one, Like everybody agrees that is an unwritten rule,
but it is like a rule that if you break.

Speaker 6 (12:48):
Your way to the cars about don't pull the picture
when he has a no hitter.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
That is an unretten rule as well.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
And unfortunately, I feel like it's gonna be come a
cemented rule, like it's gonna be a thing more and
more on baseball. And that's nice, seriously, And that's a
nice sies because maye, we're gonna talk about Paulskins and
not about that whole situation, because I know, could you
know Rich already talked about it, But is.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
There any other unwritten rule that you can think of.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
I mean, listen, I got a lot I can tell
you no going so this this is a life one
when you're waiting to like hop on an elevator, maybe
hop on a bus to train, and you go in
and people are getting out, wait for the people that
need to get out, Wait for the people that need
to get out before you hop in.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
You are around a lot of rude people, what I'm getting.
But I think that's a I think that's the unwritten rule.
Stop being around rude people. I can't help it.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
This is public. This is public.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Where are you going here?

Speaker 4 (13:46):
There's an elevator here where I've seen that happen. And
I'm just like, oh no, sorry, let's let's not wait
for people to get out. That's why I say out loud,
oh yeah, let's not wait for people.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
To get out.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
We're your mean mug face from now on.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Listen.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
It's there, permanent, it is.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Oh okay, I didn't work either, Yes, no it did not.
So I'm not someone.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
I'm a big soccer guy and someone told me about
this one time. I don't personally know how much it
is an unwritten rule, but he assures me it is
is that apparently if you go to a different club
and you end up scoring a goal against your own club,
you're not supposed to. You know, soccer, we celebrate every goal,
but you're not supposed to celebrate when you score against
your own club.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
That seems that seems like good, Like, yeah, I understand
that one.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
No, I I'm against that. You're stunt on them. You're
just stunt on them, stunt on them.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Okay, So how do you feel about the unwritten rule
of don't stomp on an opponent's slogo?

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Oh, that's a good one. There's been so much about
those you do that we fight like there's still some
people out there who are mad at I forget who.
It was like stomping on the Steelers logo or something.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
And this is a thing Chris and Manci. We were
playing in College Louisville against Cincinnati. It was like the
keg of Nail's game and it's a big game for
us in that area. Cincinnati came in stumped on the
logo before the game. We took it the cardinal, we
took it. We took it so personally we beat those
guys seventy to seven. Oh see and that is.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Why that unwritten rule you do not do that.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Do not do that, do that.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
And I feel like that's just everybody would agree in sports,
like don't don't do that, because then they're gonna make
a foo out of you. We're going to get after
you all of a sudden, everybody is drinking Mike's secret
stuff and they're gonna come out and like kill you.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Oh fourth quarter, we're not taking our stars out. We're
still scoring.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
We're still scoring.

Speaker 9 (15:33):
And that.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Exactly exactly, I mean, I get it. I like that one,
all right. Also, don't talk about a no hitter.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Don't talk about it as soon as it's mentioned, don't burst.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Don't don't do it.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
And I you know, like literally when sometimes we're on
the updates, I don't know, Isaac, if you feel like
this when we're on the updates and there is a.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
No hitter, like I never want to mention it.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Oh sorry, guys, I was looking something on my phone.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
I just remember anything in here yesterday with Isaac because
he was giving us updates on no hitters through.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
And I did JINX because I said, no hitter.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
I hat mentioning.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
When can we even like even start to allude to
a no hitter. I thought it was supposed to be
when it gets like part way into the seventh. But
i've heard now started in like the sixth.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
I would say like, hey, there's a game going into
the ninth inning.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
And you should watch.

Speaker 9 (16:28):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
You should watch. That's all. You gotta say, that is it,
and then that way you are not jinxing it.

Speaker 9 (16:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
It's hard though. If you're announcing and call in the game,
what do you say? That's not excited?

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I know, But I think people will start to pluge
into baseball. We'll see, we'll see that, they'll they'll decipher
the code. Okay, guys, stuff.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Is happening, happening. Pay attention.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
I want to stay too.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
I want to stay tuned.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
I feel like having an interesting game so far.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Yes, look at the box score.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
If arms steel strong, see there.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Are ways to go about it. Unwritten rule, don't mention
aknow hit all right.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Along those lines, then Moss, what about the unwritten rule
of the free throw jinks in the NBA? Would jump? No,
the free throw jinks where the team is like going
ten to ten from the line or Steph Curry's been
thirty five or thirty five the past three games, and
then it's a thing don't do. Don't do that as well,
every single time field goal kicker, same thing. Same Well,
he hasn't missed a kick in six games.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
Yeah, oh, you're like great, thank you?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
What right?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I don't know if this is an unwritten rule, but
to a pent to add on to this, especially for
college kickers, because it's so temperamental, don't mention if they're
a first time kicker or they're a freshman.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Don't.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
It's like I think I always remember from the Kick
six when Nick Saban pulled the kicker who had missed
twice and put in a true freshman, and I'm just like,
that is the worst curse you could ever do.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
He's totally gonna miss this. He's gonna miss it.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
That's a perfect example because all of this, like mentioning
a streak, mentioning that it's their first kick, just say
it after, just say it after they've kicked and made it.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
And you can still say this information.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
By the way, that was his first kick, yes, by
general freshman kicker as well. It's like that's something I
don't want to hear, right, Yeah, and ahead of time.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
You don't want to hear that. If you're a fan,
you're like, why would you put in a freshman a
kick right now? Like, that's not what you want to hear.
Say it after, say it after.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
Okay, there is one unwritten rule that I I like,
I'm not against it in baseball.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
What is it?

Speaker 5 (18:38):
This is gonna sound bad. It's gonna sound bad. You're
not supposed to hit a battery in retaliation.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
I knew you were going there. Why did I know that?
I felt like that, I felt the spies in this
coming with this, with this comment, I saw her like
start the glow of our chicks got red. I was like, yeah,
it's coming.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
It's the plush. It's not that I like it, it's
that I'm not against it.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Like if you do it's sent to my boy and
I'm pitching, I may I may accidentally hit you.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
You know what I'm with Mancy on this.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
I appreciate this part of sports that really feels like
Eastern European blood feuds, like like the kind of feuds
that get taken back because sometimes they will remember a
like a pitcher or a batter for like months before
pinking the guy.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
Yeah you know, you know what I'm saying. It's like
this is to me, that is like protecting your dude.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
That's old school. Take ten paces forward. I'm going to
turn around and get you type of deal. That's that's
what you're alluding to right now, Guys, Yes, yes I am,
And it's what I want.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
It's not that I want to, like, you know, hit
you in the elbow and hurt you, but I'm gonna
hit you in the back just a little bit. Maybe
Still You're gonna be fine, though.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
The point is that you're gonna be fine. That's my point.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Carry What about the bottom of a big pile during
an NFL game? Are there any unwritten rules because we
know some guys are dirty, Like, is there no biting?
Stay away from the junk?

Speaker 2 (19:55):
There is zero unwritten rules unneath the pile.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
That's what I thought.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
I know it is a free for all, free for all.
I mean, you'll you'll be surprised people can bite through helmet's.
It's it's pretty it's pretty awesome. What no, no, did
that ever? Who's the worst bier? Who's it didn't happen
to me?

Speaker 4 (20:12):
But I know.

Speaker 9 (20:14):
You like.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
Getting out of his seat.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
I don't want that.

Speaker 7 (20:20):
I knew that. Bring me back some flashbacks.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Literally he literally went into actually, yeah, like I'm not
doing this, do you guys?

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Yeah, go get it, get that. Get that.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
So there's no really no unspoken rule of like if
we're under there, don't don't hit my junk, don't bite me,
don't poke me.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
No, it is poking in the eyes and biting, it's grabbing,
grabbing the jewels, and it's a lot of things.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
Is that the real reason Cam Newton didn't go after
the fumble and the Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Now you get it, now you understand, Yes, let that go.
Now he doesn't get paid for that.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
Now we're gonna every time we see somebody not.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Go into you'll know why.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Now that's why they didn't go into the pile. He's
probably had a bad experience to the South exactly.

Speaker 3 (21:03):

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Pauli Fools go here with Tony Foodsco.

Speaker 10 (21:17):
Yeah, as everybody knows, we're the hosts of the award
winning Polly and Tony Foodsco Show. Yeah, but instead of
us telling you how great we are. Here's how Dan
Packrick described us when he came on our show.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
Quick, knowledgeable and funny, opinionated.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
What what are you doing? Were interrupting our promo?

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Yeah, you wasn't talking about you. You took those clips
totally of context.

Speaker 10 (21:38):
Oh yeah, well after this promo, I'm gonna take you
out and beat you.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Let me put this into context. Shut up.

Speaker 10 (21:44):
Yeah, anyway, just listen to the Paully and Tony Fusco
Show on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Yee, do we have a caller, any caller I want
to chime.

Speaker 9 (22:00):
In on this.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Yeah, let's start with Jay in Kentucky.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
Jay in Kentucky, you are on Cavino and Rich who
are off Gallivanti, but Monty and Carry are here.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
What's up, guys?

Speaker 9 (22:10):
So I have one of each that I'll say really quickly.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
If that's okay, no, please go ahead.

Speaker 9 (22:15):
The sports one is when the game is out of
hand and the offense is taking a knee and then
the defensive line fires.

Speaker 11 (22:23):
Off like.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
That's a really good.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Yeah, Like if somebody is calling it, everyone calls it. Yes, yes,
we agree with you. On that one? What's your other one?

Speaker 9 (22:33):
The last one is, well, you're in traffic and like
a merge lane, and we see a car coming up
on the shoulder going around everybody.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Do not let that guy in.

Speaker 9 (22:46):
Love.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
That is also those people are the worst trying to
take their shoulder. I hate it.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
I will tell you.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
The only time I'm okay with someone taking the shoulder.
And here's the thing it's I will never know is
if you desperately need to.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Get to a restroom.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
Yes, you know what I'm saying, Like, if you are
in that position, then by all means, take the shoulder.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
You know God's speed. I hope you make it to
the restroom.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
But in my mind, that's never think he's trying to
get in front of me, trying to beat me. Oh,
don't like it.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
I agree with that. Yes, do not let that person in.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
I may, I may. I may actually be that person
that doesn't let people in.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Oh I don't.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
Yeah, of course not.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Oh I'm definitely going a little faster and I'm looking
at you.

Speaker 11 (23:30):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
How about at a theme park, guy's ever been in
a long line? You're waiting for that ride and you
see somebody cut in the middle of the line as
a group. You've all been waiting a long time together.
You do not let that person come.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
You do not, and I will fight.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Like. That's where I'm like, oh no, no, no, no,
Like I don't care. If you're four people away from
me and you cut, I'm gonna go around and be like, no,
you can't just cut all of us.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
Oh no, we know him. No you know you don't.
You don't know that. I'm stop playing. Stop. That is
a good one.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Yes. If it's Indiana Jones at Disneyland, do not get
in front of me.

Speaker 9 (24:03):
Do not.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
It will be an altercation.

Speaker 7 (24:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (24:05):
The chances are the rides going to break down. Get
to the ride anyways.

Speaker 8 (24:09):
It is.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
It's like you could cut behind me and talk to
the people behind me.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Ye, right behind me, it's behind its right behind me.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
You see how they're doing. That's a good one. The
line one is good. The traffic one, that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (24:20):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
One that's like one that doesn't bother me as a
as a lady. Maybe because I grew up with brothers.
It's like the unwritten rule of.

Speaker 5 (24:27):
Put the toilet seat down. I'm not really bothered by
that one as much. To be honest with you, I don't.
I don't know if I'm just so you because I
grew up with brothers.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
If I'm just like yeah whatever, that's probably why, you know,
like I.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
Walk it and I'm just like, yeah, it's up, I
get it.

Speaker 7 (24:40):
It's I think it's a written rule at at a lot.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Of houses it is a written rule. I'm just like, huh,
I'm not really bothered by that one.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
And if it's not, it's if it's not a written
rule or an unwritten rule, it will be a sign
on the thing, written piece of tape.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
That says flip it, flip it, yes, yes, no, and
I and I get it.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
But you're right, that's probably is a written rule in
some in some households, but yeah, not not for me
at all.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
The there's like the other unwritten rule of you know,
the big ones with relationships, like don't date somebody that like.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
Your friend dated at some point. That's an unwritten rule which.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
The bro code, the bro code and and the and
the girl code.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Like you know, don't don't do that because it's just it.
No matter when people say I'm okay with it, they're not.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
They're not, and it's just gonna change the entire relationship
that you have, you know, like even when you think
you're okay with it, so I know you're not.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Ye, you're okay, So you're not okay, So you're not okay.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Oh, we're all gonna hang out together.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yeah, that's that's a double date. No, that's I think
that's also.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
An unwritten role that everybody seems to be universally on
the same page about, right, Like, all right, so, I
guess we're.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
Gonna take another caller. Hello, I'm to Cabino and Rich.

Speaker 7 (25:54):
Go to Jimmy in Texas.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
Jimmy, Yimmy, Hello, Yimmy, my bad hand.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
One more button there, Jimmy, Hello, I.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Take a Vina and Rich, thanks for calling? What hundretten
rules do you have that? Maybe you hate you love
let us know?

Speaker 9 (26:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (26:11):
No, what's up monkey?

Speaker 9 (26:12):
What's up? All pro?

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Yeah, I like, we're gonna tell you we're gonna get
him in ice chain.

Speaker 9 (26:21):
It's gonna sick, I feel it.

Speaker 12 (26:25):
I was gonna say, like one of the ones that
I have that for sports that I don't like, because
I was just like y'all were talking about earlier, I'm
I'm the type of guy that loves just the purity
of the sport. And it's like, hey, if you don't
want something to happen, stop it, you know. So I
like whenever people bat flip and when whenever they get
or whenever the picture throws throw somebody out and they're

(26:46):
not supposed to like, you know, get pumped about it
and not supposed to do the bat flip when they
when they crank one yard. You know, it's kind of like, dude,
that's that's that's what it's about. Like, show a little passion.
I think that's great, you know, like that that should
have That's one of those quote unquote unwritten rule that
should just be done away with. Let them, let them
have that fun.

Speaker 5 (27:05):
Yeah, Jimmy, I'm with you on that one. I don't
mind a little celebration, No.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Me, neither at all. Yeah. So excitement, I mean, the
fans have come to see you be excited about what
you do when you're out there. Have some fun with it.
And I mean, obviously, if the scores tend nothing and
you're hitting the home run, you might want to, you know,
keep it down a little bit.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
The team's already on the edge or right and I
think that's that's a perfect example carry where it's like, Okay,
are you going to do a bat flip if it's
ten to one? Maybe not like at that point, just
run the basis exactly. But if you do all of
a sudden hit a homer and then you've taken.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
The lead, batflip, all you are, babe. I am into it.

Speaker 13 (27:41):
And in football, I love the creativity when it comes
to scoring, like a touchdown last year when the Dolphins
did like a roller coaster, they sat down, pull down
the roller coaster and they went left and right.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
That was hilarious.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
It's fun creativity. I like it fun and it's fun. Again,
is the score seventy to seven?

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (28:01):
Maybe maybe not do that could be it could have been,
especially against.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
The All Yes, so, but I don't think we saw
that in that game. So it really does matter a
little A little bit of context does matter as to
when it comes to celebration.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
Another caller of teenager, Yeah, we got a couple in
Vegas standing by here.

Speaker 8 (28:18):
John.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
Let's start with him in Las Vegas.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
All right, John in Las Vegas, Welcome to Cavino and Rich.

Speaker 11 (28:25):
Hello, Hello, I've got I've got a customer. The lady,
her husband and the two sons. She makes them squat
to pee instead of lifting the seat up, splashing everything else. Wow,
when you brought the thing had handed call in.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
That is a that is a house rule. That seems
like a house rule.

Speaker 7 (28:47):
And by the way, a written rule. You have to
say you're innate when you're on the radio.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Yes, it's true to you do a rit rule. You
do have to say you're a a yes, yeah, no,
or the restroom.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
That one scared me for a second. Yeah that was
I was scared. I didn't know where it was going.
But yeah, no, I get it. What more are Yeah?

Speaker 7 (29:05):
We got another caller in Vegas trip trip trip.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Welcome to Cavino and Rich. I'm MANSI carries here with
me a former All Pro safety happily help you.

Speaker 14 (29:14):
Excellent. I great to talk to y'all. I got to
kind of lead off of what y'all said. One, I
can't stand when you're at the elevator and you've already
pressed the button you go up or down or a number,
and the person watches you. Then they come and press
the button.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
That's right, don't make it go faster, you go faster,
and then.

Speaker 14 (29:36):
The second thing driving. I hate this, especially living in
Las Vegas. When there's no one behind you. Put the
car from behind you flies past you, then cut you
off and turns in front of you. Why could they
just go behind you?

Speaker 4 (29:48):
Right? I also don't understand why are you going to
around there? There's space for everybody. Yes, you're just annoyed
by me.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Maybe that's what it is. They've been following you for
ten minutes months. They're done, They're done trip.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Thank you for the call from Las Vegas. I agree.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
You know when when people do hit the button after
you've already hit the button, you're like, what you didn't
think I hit the button?

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Right?

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Yes, that you want to hit the button?

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Is that what that is?

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Oh? That's a good That triggered a lot. I need
a second because I got triggered by that. Let's chick
in with Isaac Lohancron to see what's trending.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Well, thank you, Monsi and Kri.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Do you have unwritten rules at home?

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Don't talk back to you?

Speaker 5 (30:38):
And that's the update?

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, back to you pretty much. I mean, uh, that's
how love lasts in our household. I suppose I can't
say I disagree with it.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
By the way, Paul Skeins, who is just becoming a
sensation in baseball in a way that we've never I
don't think we've ever seen, Like I was thinking about,
have we experienced a pitcher or a player like this
like Paul Skins was a number one draft pick just

(31:11):
last year. And in baseball, unlike every other sport, the
player gets drafted, they go to the minor leagues and
sometimes it can take years. Like we hear where it's
like this guy was playing for eleven years in the
minor leagues and just got called up.

Speaker 5 (31:24):
We hear that all the time. Paul Skins, not even a.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Year later, gets called up to make his MLB debut
and now has been named the NL.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
All Star Star.

Speaker 7 (31:35):
Turk crazy.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
I mean, I love this story and I'll tell you why.
Because he's a Pittsburgh Pirate.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
That's why I love this story, and I think most
sports fans, baseball fans feel the same way.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
If he was a Yankee, nobody would be this excited
about him. Nobody, No, they hate him. If he was
a Dodger, oh, they would hate him a lot, a
lot of hate. But he's part of the Pirates, a team.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
That hasn't like done a lot of damage in recent years,
Like you hear about them here and there, but not really.
And then all of a sudden, you have this guy
who is six and oh yeah, in his six starts,
just pitched a seven inning shutout and then they didn't
let him go back out, and it's a big conversation.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
You should have let him go back out. I agree
with that, and e er of one point nine zero
eighty nine strikeouts, like what are we doing?

Speaker 4 (32:33):
He's also a local guy here now he's from Fullerton,
but he went to LSU. Has his girlfriend, Livy Dunn,
who I also love. Hey girl gymnast at LSU. I
really think that this is such.

Speaker 5 (32:44):
A good story for baseball. Yeah, because he's a pirate.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Yes, it's a great story for baseball. Because he's a pirate.
I'm gonna say, enjoy that now while it lasts, No,
don't go yeah yeah, yeah right, so enjoy it at last. Pirates,
you know, really put him out there, really admire what
he does, show him as much love as you can
because it will not last long. And I don't want

(33:08):
to be Debbie Downer. That's not what it sounds like.
I don't, but I'm a realist. I talk about that
a lot like, let's be based in real realism here.
So enjoy and why you can, because the big bucks
are going to come in rolling and the big teams
who can afford him is going to try to poach
him away. So enjoy it now.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
Well, the Pittsburgh Pirates should look at what the Los
Angeles Angels have done when they've had two of the
best players but did not capitalize on the situation. Pirates
do not do that because it's kind of like the
Caitlin Clark effect a little bit. Everywhere he goes, the
fans are going to go see him, whether it's an
away game or not.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
He was at an away game and they give him
a standing ovation.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Did they really yes when they took him out of
the game, Like.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
He he is welcomed with open arms in the baseball world,
and I really don't remember the last time this happened
with anybody I know. Stephen Strasburg is the first guy
I think of two thousand nine number one overall pick,
came right the next year, made his MLB debut and
was amazing, but injuries derailed his career. He did get

(34:09):
a World Series in his career. So lucky for him
that he was able to get that. But Steven Strasburg
was the last one. And again two thousand and nine
is when he was a number one pick. I really
can't think of another player like this. But it's because
baseball is such a different format of like getting drafted
and then going to the minor leagues.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Well, Strasburg nine, two thousand and nine, it's been that one.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
It's been that long.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
Wow, two thousand and nine, and made his debut June eighth,
twenty ten, and then that rookie year, they shut him
down for the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
If you remember that, yes, everybody was like, why that's
a baseball It's not.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
No, you just remember you know, big story, like certain stories,
you know what I mean, You just remember certain and
because he was such a big name.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yes, that's just it's just you.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Remember that moment.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
But they shut him down for the playoffs. And it
was because he was he had exceeded his like innings.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
Like yes, and everybody was like, what what do you
mean you shutting down for the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
That was one of the dumbest things ever. Hopefully that's
not the situation here with Paul Skeans. But I do
think Paul Skeins by himself maybe making people baseball fans
who weren't or maybe were at one point and then
kind of like turned away. I think he's bringing them
all back.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
It's a beautiful it's a beautiful story outside of the
main stores that we already know, the Yankees, Dodgers, the Phillies,
all the teams that we expect to be there, this
team and having a guy like that pissed away he has,
it's been a beautiful store.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
It's been awesome, and it's just the beginning Star and.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
It's also just the beginning of you and I here
for Cavino and Rich because we have a second hour
coming up.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
It is Friday, so we do have Hobnovin coming up
in the grand scheme of things.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
I think Jalen Brown is good and you know, but
obviously a couple of days ago it was announced, surprise surprise,
Kawi Leonard is not going to participate with the US
Olympic team.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
Surprise surprise.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
Why didn't we even entertain that in the first place.
I don't understand everybody expected that. They were like, no,
he's not gonna play, Oh, you don't say, he's gonna
prepare for the season. Thankfully, that's what they decided. And
then they just they said, we are going to replace
him with a fellow Celtic, but not Jalen Brown.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Yeah, as soon as you heard that we're going to
replace him with the Celtic you would probably think it would.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Be the finals MVP. Yeah, that guy, right, the Finals
MVP automatically. And this is no dis to the guy
that they chose, Derek White, who was a very important
piece of the Celtics championship. In fact, there was games
where I was like, that was the MVP of today's game,
mister Derek White. You know, like he one hundred percent

(36:36):
deserved all the credit throughout that entire run that the
Celtics had, but he was not the Finals MVP, and
he is still not their one two punch. There one
two punch Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown. Jalen Brown not
selected and maybe a little bit upset, but rightfully so, yes, right.

Speaker 5 (36:55):
Yes, Like how would you feel?

Speaker 9 (36:57):
You?

Speaker 5 (36:58):
I ask you because you have actually been a professional athlete, right,
so sometimes I think, well what I feel, but I
don't care. Who would you feel?

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Carrie?

Speaker 5 (37:06):
In this situation?

Speaker 2 (37:08):
I would have sent out a tweet and pulled up
the tweet thirty minutes later, like I would have at
least gotten it off of my chest really quickly. And
then my mom would have said, Carrie, that's probably not
the right thing to do, and I'll take it down.
And I think it's funny because Jayleen Brown literally said,
and I think at the SP's his mom was mad
at yeah, and I'm sure it was you.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
It was that, Oh, that's so good. I didn't even
connect that. I didn't even connect the two. In case
you missed it. Yes, in fact, let's see if he
has taken anything else down. So Jalen Brown, after this
was announced, he tweeted at Nike and said something like, really,
is this what we're doing?

Speaker 5 (37:45):
Or what are we doing? Nike?

Speaker 4 (37:46):
He took that down. That is not a thing anymore.
But he had other other ones that he posted, others
still up. The first one, I think this was the
first one. It's the emoji with the guy that has
like the the the bye what is that a little
not a bifocal a magnifying glass like like a Sherlock
Holmes like.

Speaker 5 (38:05):
After it was announced that Derek White.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
He tweeted that three of the like emojis with the
like Sherlock Holmes with the little magnifying glass like huh okay.
Then he tweeted the Nike one it's been taken down,
and then he tweeted again, I'm not afraid of you
or your resources.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Yeah, he's he's been catching a lot of unwarranted, unwelcomed attention.
And because he's not a guy that seks attention at all,
we haven't seen that. So the fact that he's actually
tweeting these things, you know, it's personally and he's starting
to fill it now. And the part about all of
this story for me and with Jayalen Brown and you know,

(38:42):
Jason Tatum and the Celtics in particular, outside of the
sources and all that, Nike's Nike, and obviously if they're
the brand that's hosting the Olympics, they do have say so.
So if anybody says they don't, they do.

Speaker 8 (38:55):
They do.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
And so that's we can. I think we all know that.
But the whole I have, the issue that I have
with all of this is the pitting of Jalen Brown
and Jason Tatum against each other. These guys have sacrificed
so much together individually as well for their team to win.
So whatever if they don't hang out outside of the sport,

(39:20):
outside of practice, they don't go to dinners and movies
together or to the club, like, that's fine. You don't
have to do that to like somebody or be a
good teammate. And so everything I know about them, and
I do know a few things personally, not a lot,
but some. They like each other on the court, They
compliment each other on the court, and they do what

(39:40):
they need to do for each other to win. Jalen
Brown is a guy that has other interests outside of this,
and Jason Tatum does as well. Jayson Tatum's a father,
So there's so many dynamics surrounding that we don't have
to make one person the good person and one person
the bad person. Is not a good versus evil thing.
They are different people that are really good that crafts.

(40:01):
Let them be, And it is unfair that Jalen Brown
is not on the Olympic team.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
We're gonna put a pin in that because I think
you're onto something of like there. There doesn't have to
be a good and bad guy, but there does seem
to be a pinning of the Celtics against each other
because Drew Holliday is also on the team. So literally,
it's like you pigged everybody except Jalen Brown. And it
really truly makes no sense because if you're gonna replace

(40:28):
Kawhi Leonard.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
Why not replace Kawhi Leonard.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
With a Kawhi Leonard type. I think they're actually very similar,
except Jaylen Brown. It has always been more explosive. But
before we move on, there is already sound of what
Carrie is talking about that they're trying to pin Jason
Tatum and Jalen Brown against each other, and we got
to free you right here to talk about having Jalen hand.

Speaker 14 (40:51):
Huh yeah, I mean, there's so many guys that could,
you know, take the.

Speaker 7 (40:57):
Last spot or whatever.

Speaker 3 (41:01):
It was.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
What was Jason Tatum supposed to say?

Speaker 2 (41:06):
He was trying because he is a Nike guy, He's
a Jordan guy. It seems like they fed him this
right before the interview started and he kind of stumbled
through it and he couldn't really get it out because
obviously Jalen is his guy. He didn't want to offend him,
but he didn't want to offend the brand. It just
it's all it's just bad.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
It is bad, but it's not Jason's fault.

Speaker 9 (41:27):
No, no, no no.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
And also I don't blame Jalen Brown for his fight, right,
you know what I mean. It's like it's two separate
guys just happened. People are wanting them to be a
good and bad guy and it doesn't have to be
that way at all.

Speaker 5 (41:42):
Or or they're also like Jalen Brown against the rest
of the Celtics, and it's like, why does it have
to be that way?

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Oh man, I don't know. It really upsets me because
I want them to They're two really good guys too.
They're both they don't have any stuff that goes on
off the court, like they're cling in both of them,
both of them. Right, there is no good versus evil here.

Speaker 5 (42:06):
There is no good and people do have a problem
with that with society.

Speaker 4 (42:10):
Like yes, perfect example, Caitlin Clark and Angel everybody wants
there to be a good guy.

Speaker 5 (42:15):
And a bad guy, good cop, bad cop.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
Already I think with like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick,
they were like, oh no, they hate each other good guy,
bad guy. Like it's never just guys, they're friends. It's
cool like they're both good guys.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
And that doesn't mean you're not going to have disagreements
or arguments, not at all. That's part of the human
experience as well, so that part of it.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
It really is though a society thing and maybe like
media pushing narratives because they're bored and they don't know
what else to talk about, so somebody has to be
the bad guy, when in reality, this is.

Speaker 5 (42:51):
Just Jalen Brown mad.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
But it has absolutely nothing to do with his teammates,
no or the other guys, And it's actually a much
bigger issue that he is trying to fight and.

Speaker 5 (43:00):
He has fought before.

Speaker 4 (43:02):
He has he has said things out loud that Nike
would not like, and that's really what this stems from.
And it's just like, don't make this a Celtics thing.
Don't make this a how are they gonna play next year?
They're gonna be fine. You're you guys out there want
to make this a thing in reality it's not.

Speaker 5 (43:22):
But Jalen Brown should be upset.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
He has every right to be upset.

Speaker 4 (43:26):
Every right to be upset, right, And I don't I
read some things where like you know, uh, Grant Hill,
like he said that he gave a very what he's
supposed to say.

Speaker 5 (43:36):
Of course, right, Oh, it's a tough decision.

Speaker 4 (43:39):
It's about what works well and what doesn't, you know,
depending on the team, but very what he's supposed to
say type of thing. It did make me think because
some people, you know, I like reading what fans say,
I like reading what what people are thinking, and they're like, well,
he's just not gonna get as much playing time. And
then it was like remember with Caitlin Clark being snubbed
and they were like, well, the fans are gonna get
mad because she's not gonna get playing time. Like that's

(44:01):
what that kn't that could not have been the reason.
And I honestly feel that, like if you told Jalen
Brown that maybe he was gonna come off the bench,
I don't.

Speaker 5 (44:10):
Even know if he'd fight it.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
Because if you, if you were part of this team
full of stars to go get an Olympic medal, I
do feel that a lot of a lot of athletes
will probably get their ego checked a little bit, just
a tiny bit.

Speaker 5 (44:22):
And he doesn't seem like the type to be upset,
Like we just said, he seems like a nice guy,
like an easygoing.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Dude, and on his team. Yeah, it's you know, Jason
Tatum has been, you know, widely considered the best player
on that team, right, Jaylen Brown doesn't have to agree
with that. But even with that being said, he doesn't
cause any disruptions. He doesn't mess up the floor of
the game. He is a team player. He would have
been perfectly fine at the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (44:48):
Perfectly fine at the Olympics. A complimentary piece to anybody.
What are you talking about his explosive How many blocks
did we see during the playoff run where it was
a Lebron style block right coming out of the door.

Speaker 5 (45:01):
Because explosive, because he still has it. And Carrie, we've
got some callers that have some thoughts on this. So Danny,
she's gonna set us up.

Speaker 7 (45:11):
Danny and Vermont wants to weigh in.

Speaker 4 (45:13):
On the Celtics, all right, Danny in Vermont, thank you
for joining us on.

Speaker 5 (45:17):
Covino and Rich the guys are on here. But I
am Moncey and Carrie, what's up?

Speaker 11 (45:22):
Hey, not too much.

Speaker 8 (45:23):
It's an honor to speak with both of you.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Thank you, thank you for having me.

Speaker 8 (45:27):
I just think that the Celtics are sort of like
willing to say, Okay, you can have Tatum or you
can have Brown, which can't have both. And they're holding
Brown back literally just putting his hand on his shoulder, saying,
say next chair or you know whatever. And the Olympics

(45:48):
four years is it now still or two anyway? And
I think they did the same thing with Kawhi Leonard.

Speaker 4 (45:55):
Well, the Kawhi want I understand, But why do you
think they'd don't want Brown? Do you think they're just
worried about him getting injured?

Speaker 8 (46:03):
Yeah, I think they're just being cautious.

Speaker 5 (46:05):
I see.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
So you think it goes hand in hand with Kawhi,
even though Kawhi has a history of injuries. That one
fully makes sense. So you just think that they are like.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Oh, yeah, he's saying they don't want Tatum and Brown
to be at risk for being injured. I think that's
what he's saying. Huh, they want to have one of
those guys still left standing. That that's that's his that
would be his.

Speaker 5 (46:25):
Point, Danny, that's not that's not a terrible point.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
That might maybe maybe I just feel like Jalen Brown
hasn't had any issues with injuries, like, no reason to
think that that's but but I like thinking out of
the box.

Speaker 5 (46:38):
Thank you Danny for calling.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
Got another one, Danny G Yeah, JP and Glenville, New
York in New York State. He's a little off topic, Bonci.
He wants to say hi to you and shout out
his racetrack. But that's a that's the Covino in Rich way.
We always let callers go.

Speaker 7 (46:53):
Out of topic, all right, JP.

Speaker 9 (46:56):
Hello, oh Hello, This is a big rebound from the backboard.
I'm in Saratoga, New York, in Upstate New York, and
I've spoke to you guys before and hello Marx.

Speaker 5 (47:10):
Wow, that was perfectly said. Hello.

Speaker 9 (47:15):
I work as the famous Upstate New York Sarahtoga Racetrack
in Saratoga, New York, and forty days in the summer
we host some of the biggest thoroughbred horse races there is.
And this year we had the Belmont Stakes because Belmont
is undergoing construction. And I work for the Emissions Department,

(47:37):
and I'm telling you, I have the best job in
the world. The characters that come through the racetrack, every
one of them is different. They are so happy to
be there. I feel like I work in a movie.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
Well there you JP I'm happy about his he has
the best job in the world. I'm going to disagree.
I think we have the best job in the world.
That's the only thing I'm gonna disagree on there, even
though I have feelings otherwise about horse racing.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
I just I just just really like the you know,
animals and all that. But JB, thank you so much
for Colleen, and we appreciate it, and I hope.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
I feel I should have just laughed out that that part,
because uh, I mean, he's a New York guy. Didn't
even say what's up to me? That's just that's weird.
He went straight to you, Manta, that's what happens.

Speaker 5 (48:28):
Oh you did not know you were a former All
Pro safety of the New York Giants.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
I guess not. And he's a New Yorker.

Speaker 7 (48:33):
It's just sad.

Speaker 5 (48:34):
It's just sad. Now he's probably like, oh, my goodness,
that Carry Rhoads. That's who was there. No, no, he
knows now now he's like, man, I'm gonna name a
horse after Carry Roads just to make up for it
to know. Oh, okay, back to.

Speaker 4 (48:50):
Jalen Brown and the Celtics and the US Olympic team
and all of that. I I really hope that we
stop making this and narrative soon that it's him against
his teammates, because that's not it at all.

Speaker 5 (49:07):
And he's fine.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
He was at the SPS last night looking real good,
looking real good, with Kaiser on his arm, looking real good,
really good.

Speaker 5 (49:17):
And there were rumors that they had like been spotted together.
Did you did you hear them? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (49:22):
Like, oh no, no, they were already you know, yeah,
it was. It was already becoming a thing. She was
at the parade with him. Yes, she was at the parade,
so it was already it was already out there.

Speaker 4 (49:32):
And yeah and even before that, like when if that
spotted them, like I think at dinner or something.

Speaker 5 (49:36):
Yeah, and then so then at the parade and then
there there she was on his arm.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
Uh. And he he accepted an award, he won an
award for the best Championships. I think it was something
like best Championship Plays, something like something like that. But
you know the crazy part about that is, yes, she
stole the show on his arm, and he did look good.
He did. I didn't even know that he had the
championship trope with them at all. I didn't notice that

(50:01):
at all. Because I saw her, and so I didn't
see the golden.

Speaker 5 (50:07):
I definitely was just staring at her.

Speaker 4 (50:09):
I did not look at anything else was eyes kaiser
and her outfit, and she was slaying, slaying.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
I know that.

Speaker 4 (50:16):
In the first hour we talked about unwritten rules. Here's
an unwritten rule that I actually, like, I cannot stand.

Speaker 5 (50:22):
And it happens more and more. Take your sunglasses off
when you're indoor. Oh yeah, yeah, your sun glasses off.

Speaker 4 (50:33):
Like it.

Speaker 9 (50:33):
You know.

Speaker 4 (50:34):
Jack Nicholson did it for years and years and years
and years at Laker games, and it was like his thing, right,
like you're going all right, well, Johan Nicholson, I don't.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Get no goods.

Speaker 4 (50:42):
And so my mom, who like sometimes keeps her sung
glasses on because she thinks, like I don't know that
she can be sneaking, like I don't know, look at
people and they don't she doesn't know that she's looking
at them. And I'm like, Mom, you are not Jack Nicholson.
Take your sunglasses off. You are not tactical sen And.

Speaker 5 (50:55):
That's the only one that I accept.

Speaker 4 (50:57):
They get a load of me yes, like literally literally,
and then I tell her mom, nobody does it, and
now everyone does it, so I can't tell my mom
to not do it.

Speaker 5 (51:06):
If we've got Jayleen Brown.

Speaker 4 (51:08):
Still wearing sunglasses and uh, who else did I see
yesterday during the MESA like take your son glasses off.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
Your mom was ahead of the curve.

Speaker 5 (51:17):
She was ahead of the curve. That's really what it is,
because she's been doing it free year.

Speaker 9 (51:21):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (51:21):
I literally always just told her you're not Jack Nicholson.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Well she proved that she was.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
She she didn't even care what I said.

Speaker 7 (51:28):
There's another exception. Though, you're the drummer in the band, you.

Speaker 6 (51:32):
Remember that movie, that thing you do. He gives them
the sunglasses. He's like, put these on. He's like why,
He's like, because you're the drummer.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
You're the drummer. Okay, yeah, that's cool.

Speaker 4 (51:40):
Moments fin if you're performing, okay, fine, fine, If you're performing.

Speaker 5 (51:46):
In any way, shape or form, I guess you can
keep your sunglasses on.

Speaker 4 (51:53):
Things that you should be watching this weekend in the
world of sports and entertainment, We're gonna give you what
we think you should be watching, and I'm gonna start
with so the.

Speaker 3 (52:03):
Weekend, you're winning bets for talking points. If you get
stuck socializing.

Speaker 9 (52:08):
You ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 5 (52:09):
You ever dance with the devil in the pale line?

Speaker 3 (52:12):
Friday brings us.

Speaker 6 (52:15):
We can hop Now I have imaging and I will
use it, Manzi when you fill in sometimes for Dan Bayer.

Speaker 7 (52:21):
Yeah, you're already in your car at this point.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
Yes, yes, yes I am sometimes or I'm talking in
the hallway to Brie.

Speaker 5 (52:28):
I'm not even far. I'm just not in my sea.
I'm doing something else.

Speaker 4 (52:32):
And also because I'm probably gonna tell you that I'm
gonna watch ninety Day Fiance and you guys already know that,
so I just feel like you want gonna tell you
once again what.

Speaker 5 (52:38):
I'm gonna watch this weekend.

Speaker 4 (52:40):
All right, Well, let's start in sports, and this is
actually for today if you don't feel like going out,
I believe it's gonna start in about thirty minutes. Ronnie
James is gonna be making his Las Vegas Summer League
debut with the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
Carrie, are you into this?

Speaker 7 (53:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (53:00):
I just want for his sake to finally. I hope
he's not on social media because he's been catching it,
but I want people to give this guy a chance. Man,
It's I get emotional, looking at all the tweets. I'm
tired of it. Let him play.

Speaker 5 (53:14):
It is tough to read.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
He is getting a lot of heat and unfortunately he's
not even asking for the not at all. So yeah,
Brownie James is gonna make his Las Vegas Summer League
debut today.

Speaker 5 (53:27):
Don't miss it?

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Yes, so yes, I agree with you. Now, since you
win sports, I'll go entertainment, all right. And so the
entertainment that I'm most looking forward to today and this weekend,
but probably today.

Speaker 5 (53:40):
For me, you gotta do today.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
I'm going tonight to go see the new horror movie
starring Mica Monroe and Nick Cage called Long Legs. I
cannot wait the board?

Speaker 5 (53:52):
Are you going today? I'll go with you if you
go tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
You want me to prolong my excitement for days?

Speaker 4 (53:59):
I do?

Speaker 5 (53:59):
Is is that too much to ask for?

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Sean?

Speaker 5 (54:01):
And I will go with you.

Speaker 4 (54:03):
We do a little triple a little triple day or
not triple trio whatever, I don't know, whatever that is.

Speaker 7 (54:08):
Yeah, how many men are you dating?

Speaker 5 (54:11):
I was like, that's not right. You get all y'all go,
that's not right.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
I was like, I'm going tonight. Then I'm going tonight.

Speaker 5 (54:17):
No, no, we'll go with you if you go tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
I do want to see you, know you do.

Speaker 4 (54:22):
I'm so excited about it. They better give me better,
give me nightmares.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
I don't want those.

Speaker 5 (54:27):
The scarier the better.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
But yeah, I agree with you.

Speaker 5 (54:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, guys, what you got for this weekend?

Speaker 7 (54:31):
Netflix?

Speaker 6 (54:32):
All eight episodes of Receiver are out really good and
surprisingly I like Hard Knocks off season New York Giants
even more, which I didn't think was going to be
the case, but since that starts in January, it's more
about the front office and then building the team, so
you kind of feel like a fly on the wall
as they're putting the roster together, which is a very
cool angle to Hard Knocks. So check that out. And

(54:55):
Apple TV. New episode out today for Presumed Innocent. Oh,
it's that new show with Jake Jill in Law.

Speaker 5 (55:02):
I'm into it.

Speaker 6 (55:03):
Oh it's if you like crime thrillers, you're gonna love
this great cast. So check out Presumed Innocent. And finally
for me, Netflix has Sprint, which is a docu series
following the fastest men and women in the world. So
if you're getting Olympic ready right now, that is awesome
to check out as these athletes prepare for Paris.

Speaker 8 (55:23):
I like that.

Speaker 5 (55:24):
I like that, Chris, do you have anything?

Speaker 1 (55:25):
This weekend for me is all about soccer, soccer, soccer,
and more soccer. Sunday we have the finals in not
just European Championship, but also the Copa America, where he
just saw fights in the stands a malice in the palace,
except it was Miami after the Columbia Uruguay game, which
was very funny. But yes, I think it is three

(55:48):
pm Eastern. We're gonna have England and Spain. I'm so excited.
This is the biggest thing I have seen. This is
an England team that I just repeatedly doubt. This is
Spanish tea I didn't even think too much of. Both
have gone through hell to get to the top.

Speaker 9 (56:03):
Here.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
It's going to be a tremendous match. And then Colombia
and Argentina. Columbia, who holds the longest unbeaten streak in
the sport right now against Leonel Messi.

Speaker 5 (56:15):
Yeah, no, that's gonna be good on the same day,
on the same day.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
I'm so there.

Speaker 1 (56:20):
And then I just have some other old movies to
catch up, and I'm trying to even remember the name
it off the top of my head, and I can
as well.

Speaker 5 (56:26):
If you think of it, let us know. I got
one more for you. If you're into The Boys.

Speaker 4 (56:31):
The fourth season is out and I think episode seven
released either today or last night, so they're releasing the
last two.

Speaker 5 (56:40):
But it's episode seven The Boys, Season four. Great show.
If you haven't watched it, start from the beginning though,
because it's so good, so good.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
I will do that. But I just want to say
something about Chris. I've found out that Chris is really
violent today. I'm violent today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, like you
like violence. You wanted to jout somebody earlier. You like
to fight in Miami. The guys in the stands it runs.

Speaker 6 (57:07):
You guys started the show by talking about WNBA New
York at Chicago Saturday.

Speaker 5 (57:13):
Yeah, they just.

Speaker 4 (57:14):
Say they're going to play again. This is like right
before they take a month break for the Olympics. So
you are soaking in the last of the WNBA first
half of the season. Do not miss out on that one.
When is that Danny on Saturday?

Speaker 7 (57:28):
The Sky in the Liberty Saturday Morning?

Speaker 5 (57:29):
All right, Well it's Friday today.

Speaker 4 (57:31):
Cavino and rich Warton here I am Monsi Blanos alongside.

Speaker 5 (57:34):
