learn that sometimes in sports, sometimes in life, in order
(01:52):
to get what you want, you have to expose the problem.
And that's what Aaron Boone could be doing tonight with
the New York Yankees lineup a playbook from Joe Tory
back in two thousand and two. Now, the Grimmest Conspiracy Theory,
tell Us, have you ever heard about this at all?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Or is this like news to you? The Grimmest conspiracy
Theory not that he's secretly getting with missus Mett causing
some trouble because we be a little purple headed baseball guy.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
No, no, before he was the Mets mascot this year
Grimace last year. The viral rage of the Grimace Shake
and McDonald's correct.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, people posted videos of them like dying right. That
was the whole.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Gimmick tasted purply social media rage. You drink the drink
and then you're like, oh, you're dead, purplely and I
didn't have one of those. It was to celebrate what
Danny g.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
The Grimace Shake celebrated. What do you remember, No, I
don't remember. It's Grimace's birthday. Who cares? Just tell us
he has a birthday? Yeah, no, that's to see you
think everybody knew it was stupid Grimace's birthday. Corporate muety
muck came up with it.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, no, no, you see. Oh, here's where you guys are.
It was the first time he was unveiled to the public.
You guys are playing into my You guys are playing
into my, uh my story. You're playing into my story
perfectly because you're like, wait, why was the Grimma shake
out again? Oh, Grimace's birthday? Who knows Grimace's birthday? Oh,
was it fifty years? No, it was like fifty three years.
(03:33):
So people wonder why why the Grimace Shake and why
the Grimace celebration. Here's the here's the conspiracy theory. McDonald's
was it about to unveil Grimace as like a gender
fluid or transgender character, and then bud Light did what
they did and the backlash was crazy. So some of
(03:56):
the McDonald's last minute was like, fool little, it's his birthday,
let's give him to the Mets. But why because.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Because why else would they celebrate Grimace's birthday for the
first time when he's like fifty three or something. So
the conspiracy is that they were going to unveil something
to do with Grimace during Pride Month because the Grimma
Shake came out in June last year, and then they
saw the backlash that Butt Like God and Kid Rock
was shooting butt like cans and the stock went down
(04:25):
because of that. McDonald's took a last second, PERI here,
you're telling me that Grimace is non binary. I'm telling
you that that's what I think. There's a conspiracy that
they were going to go with that, and then they
realized the backlash and people weren't ready for it. So
what they did was they said, oh, the Grimma shake
for his birthday?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
How old is he? Is it a big a big
year because you're bringing out a whole shake and.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Everything, No makes sense when you add it up. Huh.
Not a bad conspiracy. Definitely better than the Biden one.
I like it all right, So thank you guys for
hanging out with us. We're Covino and Rich. What are
your thoughts? At and Rich on social media at Steve Covino,
at Rich Davis and of course the number eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox Quick reminder too. Shout out

Speaker 2 (05:21):
You're right, hey, Danny, g one quick question before I
get into an NFL not a conspiracy theory. How the
NFL and the quarterback The quarterback situation around the league
right now very much like a dating show, and I'll explain.
But after watching Quarterback last year where we all fell
in love with Kirk Cousins and his coal shirts.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Where we all where we all realize?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Man, you know what Mahomes wife, she's just really super supportive.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
She got a bad rep. We watched her grow up
though she looks well. Here's my conspiracy. Since Taylor Swift
is getting all the attention and they were the power
cup on the team Kelsey and Swift, I think Mahomes,
Brittany Mahomes really just stepped their game. Yeah, but you
know there's another layer here.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
She was.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
More props to Brittany Mahomes. She actually got to glow up. Dude.
She has children. Tailor Shift never had a kid. Yeah,
but she.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Looks good, Covino saying she went into the lab. Yeah yeah, secret, Like,
I got to step it up hours.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
It doesn't matter any woman out there listening. After a
woman has a baby, the difficulty to bounce back for
a woman that's never had a baby, give me a break.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I give way.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
More props to Brittany Mahomes, Props to you and every
mom out there. So we watch quarterback. Yeah, but don't
tell me you're lying. Rich pants on fire, liar liars.
Let's hear this because rich was the first guy to
be like, she's kind of annoying, and all of a sudden,
she's looking hot. And his tone changed a little bit,
like she thought supportive.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
It was kind of whiny. Yeah, people are less annoying
to me exactly. That's my point. The hotter she got,
the more supportive.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
She got a little bit of backlash. Remember from the
show when they were overlooking all their property where they
were building their.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, Brittany, I like, I like contention the mansion we deserve.
So we saw Quarterback and then we just watched Receiver
and you fell in love with George Kittle and Claire
DeVante Adams. You see what a great dad he is.
And Justin Jefferson and.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Justin Jefferson's alter ego, the Jet Jet.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
All his jewelry on, and then to put it all together,
he puts the bad sunglasses on.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
It makes sense, though he did explain that when he
puts his jewelry on, he goes from Jefferson to the
jet or jet.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Thank god he signed that huge contract. As I looked
at that jewelry, all I kept thinking about the waste
of money on materialistic like, hey, diamonds.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
If it puts him into that that mindset. Good for him.
If it works, and it seems to be working, I've
got no issue with it. He basically says. He puts
on that character, he becomes that guy, puts on the sunglasses,
the jewelry. He's ready for game time.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
You saw I'm on Ross Saint Brown and his disciplined
dad who had him training since he was in diaper
is his mother who taught him German from the time
he was a baby.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Smacks Deutch Yah the Jones.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
So my point is we watch these shows and love
them both. Moving forward, two layers here, great job produced
by Peyton.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Manning on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
I don't think they could go to another position. I
think they got to go back to quarterback, then back
to receiver. Guys, if they're be like next year defensive players, like,
I think we have to stick.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
You don't want to see center? Yeah next year on
the next season on Netflix Free safety, yeah right right guard. Yeah,
It's not gonna work, But I think strategically players should
want to do this. I know Kelsey declined because he's
already living the life with Taylor Swift, but all this
did was make me really admire Saint Brown. Justin Jefferson
(08:56):
you know Kittle and his wife. Ever, he'll come more
invested in mspople.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
So I think that just makes you more love throughout
the fan base in the league, makes you possibly one
of these guys that gets a post career announcer gig.
I think you're gonna see the show continue, and it's
gonna be something everyone wants to do because in a
world of social media and attention, what wide receiver or
quarterback or marquee player, especially with a contract coming up,
who wouldn't want.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
The world to be like what a great guy? Yeah? No, yeah,
I mean if you're painted in that light.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
And you know, they're never gonna unless you're a complete
a hole, they're not gonna paint you in a bad light.
Like even I said, Devanta Adams at times seemed like
a cry baby, but it was just because he wanted
to win and they told them, hey.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Come here with Derek Carr and they're like, later, Derek Carr.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
I'll be honest, my better half an eye. We didn't
like DeVante Adams on the show at first. He seems
surly and just like like you said, a little unlikable.
But then as the show progressed and he explained that
he loves to play. He plays his best in the
biggest games because when he's on the field, if he
feels like everybody is watching him, that's when he does
his best.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
It's kind of the opposite of what most of us do,
where we got to go puke because we have so
many butterflies in our stomach. If we think everybody, millions
and millions of people are watching us.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Some people shine brighter under the bright lights. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
So I just think you're gonna see the show continue
because I don't know why. It wonn't much like I know,
people have hard knocks for you know, decades now, but
Peyton Manning, I guess I'm just saying slow clap to him.
Great it together quarterback and now receiver. And I think
you're only going to see those marquee positions moving forward,
because I mean, if I told you next year, Cavino
and now we're gonna follow around uh two uh you
(10:36):
know hawktaah not not hokta to uh, you know, Dak
Prescott and Jalen her It's like you'd watch, you'd be like,
of course, So it's great. It's really behind the scenes
and the fact that it's Uncensored on Netflix where you
hear these guys speaking the way they really.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Do, and you make a great point they should just
rotate receiver back to quarterback, receiver back to quarterback.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I think that's the way, and of the rock Stars
the team for sure. Yeah, so you know receiver as
you know at the sorry of running backs. You know,
any other decade it would have been running back now eh,
so not as glamorous. So I bring that up also
because I wanted to talk about the quarterback situation in
the NFL right now, because there's a handful of guys
you saw today Matthew Stafford restructured his deal for the
(11:20):
Rams TUA. You got to ask yourself are they going
to pay him? And how much Jordan Love not playing
until he restructures the deal, and Dak Prescott it appears
like he may bet on himself and play out this
contract and then be an elite quarterback as a free agent,
which doesn't happen all the time. And then you see
(11:42):
guys like Brock Purty, what's what's his value going to
be after one more year in the NFL? NFL if
the Niners win twelve thirteen games and they make another
Super Bowl run is brock Purty that level.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I mean, he keeps on winning. So I got Scott
put up big numbers last year. As we went over
yesterday during last one's standing, I.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Feel like there's a pressure and I think you're feeling
this right now, mostly with Green Bay. I said it yesterday.
I love what Jordan Love brings to that team that
you saw towards the end of the year. He's a
likable teammate. Other guys on the team like him.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
He's young, he's young, got great potential, he's likable, seeing
obvious improvement. He's been there.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I was talking to Rob Parker in the kitchen yesterday
about how it's not like he's some young kid. He's
been there years now, developing behind Aaron Rodgers. So now
they're getting the final product. But the whole team is
young and at the end of last year in the playoffs,
if that's the Jordan Love you think you're getting moving forward,
he's worth their thinking. He wants fifty ish a year.
(12:48):
And then you got to ask yourself. I said, I
was going to compare to our stupid reality shows. We
love Okay, Danny, I know you and the wife. Besides
all the sports you watch. You watch Love is Blind
in Perfect Match.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah, and she's been bugging me for a Peacock subscription,
so she watch what is it?
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Love Island? That's like the latest one everyone's yapping about.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
I'll give you my password. So perfect Match the key
to that show. Much like member back in the day
when you used to watch a Bachelor in Paradise Cavino
And trust me, there's a reason for me bringing this up.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
I still watch that one. It's a good one. Bachelor
in Paradise. Yeah, it's the best bachelor series. You know how.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Let's say this six hot women and six study dudes.
Then they bring in two more hotties, which means two
of the women have to go, because if you don't
have a match.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, they bring in the distractions, bring you're out.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
I feel like that's the quarterback situation in the NFL,
where a lot of times people are looking for just
someone to stay afloat, like listen, you know Mahomes. You
know not everyone could get there, Mahomes or Josh Allen.
So maybe you say, well, who could I match up
with to stay on this island? And I feel like
(13:58):
there are teams like the Dolphins you could say, I
don't know if two is the guy that's gonna win
us a super Bowl, but if not to and then one,
you're gonna get some like placeholder that's not as good,
Like there are guys that are gonna get paid just
because the franchise's mindset will be, well, we deep down
inside know we're a wild card and out type of team.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
But if we don't pay him, we might be a
six win team. Right who's better? So you're just trying
to You're just trying to flo You're trying to stay
on the island and not eliminated. I feel like that's
what you're seeing With teams like the Dolphins and you know,
the Green Bay Packers, you might say, well, what is
(14:43):
Jordan Loved proven a final good four? Like we said yesterday,
they're an organization that has had great success with quarterbacks
and knowing who's that next guy for their team for
their franchise.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
But Jordan Love, believe it or or not, you would think, well,
does he really Yes? He has the Packers right now
by the juavos. Because if the Packers say, now we
don't want to pay you, Jordan Love, then you're back
to the drunk board. And right now you have a
Packers fan base that thinks.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Fifty ish is proven sort of money and he hasn't
proven that, but he's proven that he's good, yeah, and
that he's you know, worthy of making it working out
some sort of deal for this team. But and again,
who the hell am ine to tell anybody what they're worth?
He knows his own value, right, So I say that respectfully, Hey,
(15:39):
let him get as much as he can. But that
does seem really high for a guy who hasn't really
proven that he could win at all, you know, won
a playoff game. Yeah, but you said fifty ish came
came within what a couple of plays of beating the
forty nine ers at candlestick out at un Santa cler
(15:59):
Do you think Rock Party gets not exactly right? So
that's really where it gets confusing, because if a guy
like Jordan Love is gonna get fifty ish, then your
boy Rock Party has a pretty solid argument. But again,
much like our dumb analogy with Perfect Match or Bachelor
in Paradise, you're just if you don't have a match,
you're kicked off the island. And let's call the island
(16:21):
the postseason. Every team just wants to be in the postseason.
You compare it to reality TV. I compare it to
real estate. It's like, well, what did that house sell for?
So our gotta be worth that's amount? Like that down
the box just sold from what? So if Jordan Loves
gets fifty ish, man, it really makes these other guys think, so, hey,
(16:42):
I think I'm worth about that much too, then.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
But yo, dB, let me ask you, Jordan Love. I
feel like he has them by the cajones because the
Packers don't want to start over when they think they
might have their guy, and the fan base feels like, wow,
we you know, we want a playoff game. We came
close to beating the Niners. So he sort of isn't
oddly the driver's seat here.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
I agree with you on that point, where ultimately I
do still think teams, because of the franchise tag and
the ability to keep a guy around longer, will have
the ultimate leverage. But I'm with you, and I also
say that when they were playing this game with Aaron
Rodgers and trying to figure out they had a backup
plan that was Jordan Love. Now, you didn't know if
it was gonna work or not. There is no backup
(17:25):
plan behind Jordan Love, and it's different than keeping Rogers
around a couple more years as opposed to being like,
all right, are we really playing a hard ball with
a guy who could be our quarterback.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
For the next ten or fifteen years?
Speaker 5 (17:36):
So I'm with you on at least I do think
that Jordan Love's side has more leverage than maybe other quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I two is an interesting one, right because Miami. Miami
has so much talent on that team, and there's some
people that really believe in to it and other people
are like, he's just not the guy. He's another interesting one,
where again, do you want to stay on the island?
Do you want to stay in the postseason when you
have the Buffalo Bills in your division?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Who? With Josh Allen?
Speaker 2 (18:02):
You always gotta you always got to figure with Josh
Allen and that team, they are playoff possibility both ways, though,
it really does because then all right, well, if not
with Miami, then with who. That's the Brock Party scenario.
In my mind, I'm a Niners fan.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
But that match goes both ways for the most part.
Not like there's opportunities everywhere in the NFL for a
starting quarters position in any business.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
If you're a quote free agent, Like if Colin Cowherd's like, hey,
I'm my contracts up, there's people that will want Colin Cowherd.
There might be a show that no one really bites on.
Like look at a what's his face to the TV dude?
Speaker 1 (18:44):
What TV dude? Skip Skip Bayless?
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Like right now he's made millions and super successful beyond everyone,
but right now does anyone want him? Like look at
look at Brock Party, Danny g next year, if the
forty nine ers don't want to pay Rock Party fifty
something million dollars, do you think this is gonna be
(19:08):
a lot of other teams like we want Rock Party?
Or do people still figure Oh it works because it's
him and Shanahan.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah, it's what you just said the latter, it's the ladder.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
It's what Cavino also said, it's the it goes both ways.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, And like I said, more power to the team,
as Dan Byer insinuated before, because you could throw it
out there and try to see who bites, but you
might end up on a whack ass team Like it's
nice to win too, right.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
And we've talked about it before. Unfortunately, it's where Party
was drafted, and he wasn't expected or looked at as
a superstar.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
He was drafted. He won over that fan base. He's
winning there, He's fitting in nicely. It's a it's a
you know, maybe a West Coast city that he likes,
and I mean San Francisco right now at this point.
But until he puts.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
That whole team on his shoulders and wins a super Bowl, though,
people are going to look at him as I.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Do you think the team always has more leverage? Yeah,
I mean there's still the narrative.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Could we know that with you know, Sam Donald, the
forty nine ers could have made a pretty nice playoff run.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
I actually I don't know in that situation if I
would agree with that point. But to your point of
that narrative being out there, is true that people just
think that Brock Party is or anybody is plug and play.
And that's what that's what I find so intriguing about them.
And you know, I just said it a few hours
ago here on the network, and I've said this to
(20:31):
you in private conversations, like the Niners have to win
it this year.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
It has they have to everything that we said that
last year too. This is now, this is it, this
is it.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Dan, We're definitely talking about the narrative that's out there
because we laughed at the end of last season on
that TV show Speak on FS one, they say does
brought the Underneath? On the screen it said, does brock
Party need to win two Super Bowls to prove.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
I was like, honestly, Dad, I would saying yesterday when
you weren't here watching the final episode of Receiver really
hurt my feelings because I had to watch the Niners lose,
but from behind the scenes, sure, and you're right, they're
so close, and once they have to pay brock that money,
they can't keep everything. So I think you're forgetting the
main question that we were posing in our little pre
show meeting, and that was, well, what type of player
(21:19):
are they? Are they going for the bag or they
going for the ring? I wrote that your money, you
know ring.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
I mean there's certain players that see that there's an
opportunity to actually win, and if that's their priority, then
they're probably gonna Like then brock Party will stay with
the forty nine ers. But if he's the type of
guy that's going to go for the money, he might
not get it. If Brock Party, Dann Byer, Ghost Ray
Baker Mayfield esque team friendly contract like thirty something, I
(21:49):
think that's great news for Niners one. Yeah, that would
be amazing. And what Jordan Love going for? Is he
going for the bag? Is he going for the ring?
It really depends on that person's makeup. What they're all about.
It is their career. They have every right to get
as much money as possible. But winning on a team
you're comfortable with, in a city that already accepted you,
all those things do matter.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
We talk so much, and I think in generalities you
talk about like, oh, well, now you got to pay
the quarterback, how are you gonna pay everyone else? But
you have an aging Trent Williams, Your running back is
likely falling off the cliff at some point. In Christian McCaffrey,
you now have to pay your quote though.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
You did you see his thirst trap photo he posted?
Speaker 1 (22:26):
You missed it?
Speaker 5 (22:27):
Yeah, I thought it would be on your algorithm. But
like they have, like enormous decisions that are happening. And
the point about Party is I don't even think John
Lynch knows what type of team you're going to make
up post party contract and how it's going to look.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
That's so true, so true.
Speaker 2 (22:44):

up at training camp. Restructured deal had thirty one million
dollars due to him in base salary in twenty twenty four,
but after that just fifteen million dollars in guarantees over
the next two years.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
That's likely to change. Stafford in camp today.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
For la Cleveland Browns, a wide receiver Amari Cooper agreed
to a new deal. It guarantees his twenty million dollars
salary for twenty twenty four and gives him an additional
five million dollars in incentives for this season. The Vikings
and offensive tackle Christian Darisa agreed the terms on a
four year extension with one hundred and thirteen million dollars.
Reports say seventy seven million dollars guaranteed. Jets edge rusher
(26:48):
Hassan Redick a no show he wants a new deal.
Niners wide receiver Brandon Ayuk did show up despite requesting
a trade after he failed to get a long term
deal done this offseason. A couple of other notes, as
wide receiver o Dell Beckham Junior will start camp on
the pup list. The Buccaneers will wear their creamsicle uniforms
on October twenty seventh against the Falcons. NFLPA executive director
(27:09):
Lloyd Howell told The Washington Post the union in league

I got to start the you know, the whole process
and whatever taking. So that's why I'm ducking out a

Speaker 1 (28:06):

I know that's the that's what's keeping me from doing it.
To be honest, I don't want to go through all this,
but they have to do.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
They knock you out or no, depends, So like you
kind of sedated, you can't be knocked out, but it's
not necessary by any means. Depends and you gotta where
it depends. Yeah, well, I don't think that's take a
nice positive.
Speaker 3 (28:28):

Speaker 2 (28:46):
So rubbed you in the kitchen from the odd couple,
and I'm like, can you believe that football is right
around the corner like that?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
To me? You might?
Speaker 1 (28:53):
I know. You think Aaron Rodgers robbed people some wrong.
You think he rubbed New York fans the wrong way
by saying they're the new Jersey Jets and the new
Jersey yesterday on barstool. Did you see that? I did?
I don't know. I thought that was a little odd.
They are though they are, but it was interesting to
hear him say it. Oh, dare you?

his fight and then calling you out, saying your next

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Was an entertaining fight. But where did you guys think?
Mike Perry had no defense. He can't get his hands down.
He was standing upright, But he was a he was
a tough s ob that got tough guy.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
He had no defense about that power jab though, Mike,
you worried at all about that?
Speaker 1 (29:58):
No, I got a head moved. I'm a box there,
so he's Friday, an actual box, different date, fame fate.
I'm gonna knock out Jake Paul November fifteenth. I'm currently training.
I'm not Mike Perry. I'm Iron Mike Typhon. All right,
and meet the contestants, right. I can't wait for Jake Paul.
Are you guys going? I want to go. I nomembers,
are we are? We gonna be your guests, Mike no wit,
(30:22):
November fifteenth is a Friday, November fifteenth, different date, same fate. Wow, Okay,

his calendar. Yeah, because I was. I'm thinking of Saturday automatically,
but it might be a Friday night fight, huh. All right?
Nine time winners spotty too, many for you. I'm sorry, yes,
and it canna be better than my fight.
Speaker 4 (30:44):

Speaker 1 (31:13):
I'm a chef over here. We're at a university where
it's a famous NBA player some much just planned. Oh man,
very nice, Hey, Evan, do you think it's going to
be me or Jig Paul? He's a young, strong, strapping,
very nice man. But he's going to because he better.
Like is he gonna beat Jay paula if Felix pretty
flabby out there? All right? Yeah, he was winded by
(31:36):
the third round. All right.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
Here are the rules for Iron Mike Trivia. The first
contestant with two correct answers is the champ. If there's
a tie, we have a tiebreaker question. Your name is
your buzzer, but you do have to wait until all
three possible answers are read. If there's two wrong answers
in a row, we move on to the next question.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Are you ready? Yeah, let's get it out all right.
Round one. Who is the first former heavyweight boxing champion
to regain its title with a George Foreman B, Floyd
Patterson or CE Larry Holmes?
Speaker 4 (32:05):
Home, Oh Evan see no, Noddy Rich for the steal
Patterson in nineteen sixty.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Floyd was the first to do it. He knocked out
Johansson in the fifth round, but Larry Holmes did come
out on the list this week at the second all
time great in the heavyweight division after Muhammad Ali. Rich
jumps on the board immediately as we go to round two.
Round two, I once famously said, what about my actions? Hey,
(32:38):
I didn't do it. My upbringing is a culprit. B
blame my birds. They put on your head and I
follow their lead or see. I just look around and say,
I'm a mess. I don't know why I do things?
Oh Evan A no, are you spot spotty for the steal?
Speaker 3 (33:03):
You know?
Speaker 1 (33:04):
See? Yes, I wanted to say the birds. But I said,
I just look around and say, I'm a math. I
don't know why I do things. The birds pull on
your head, it's upset. I was worried too. I was worried.
You'd know I made that one up. All right?
Speaker 4 (33:18):
We moved around three. As both Rich and Spotty are
on the board.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Which of these middleweight champions had the highest not a percentage?
Whether A Marvel Marvin Hagler, he was a wonderful man,
Marvin Hagler, left the B sugar Ay Robinson or the
Bernard Hopkins Evan trying to get on the board. Hopkins
Hopkins No, like a strategy, but you're oh for three,
(33:43):
He's like he's like a scan. He's just picking. He's
swinging though ambitions options. Which of the middleweight champions HI
not a perthentage A Marvin Hagler or B Sugary Robinson
(34:04):
Marry Ambition, Sugar Ray Robinson, marvelous Marvin. I used to
love his right guard commercials. That means that they never
let him diag rabbit seven.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Eighty eight eight percentage That is crazy, j percentage of
seven eighty.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Eight Marvin Hagler. All right, Round four, Round four, which
former pro boxer recently said, they think my bout with
Jake Paul is never gonna actually take place. Oh who
said that I'm gonna knock him out? Whether a Sean
Porter Showtime, Sean Porter, be Oscar de la Hoya or
C Sugar, Shane Mosley, Rich Rich for the.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Win Day la Hoya said that you think no, you
think wrong. Evan Evan can he get on the board?
He finally he said.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
It on the Porterway podcast. I never even heard of
that stupid show.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
Okay, hot boxing. Rich spot Evan all on the board
as we go to round five.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
And by the way, my fight is taking place November fifteenth. Okay,
it's a Friday, Rich You're okay with that? I mean
I might have dinner plans. Okay, you moved to Saturday. Mike,
that's a Friday night. I like Friday night fights. It's
just unconventional. Michael around five, which actor did, Entertainment Weekly
crowned the Beth to ever portray a boxer, Whether ah
(35:25):
vethis Blone, b Hillary Thwank or the Michael B. Jordan.
Entertainment Weekly said the Evan Evan for the win Michael B.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Jordan, Yes, Wow, Wow.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
I gotta say that's probably the greatest comeback in this game.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Give this man a sweetie.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
Michael yes Jordan in Creed Russell Crowe Michael B. Jordan
twenty fifteen Creed, I like Jake Jones, not like Will Smith.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
He was listed as heavyweight, but number one at the
top of their list was Michael B. Jordan.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
All right, congratulations, Evan, you win one of the very
last dispatch of our stainless steel.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Beautiful see in our swiggies. Congratulations. Hey, hey man, congratulations.
Sorry to interrupt. Can I go? Can I go back
to training now? Yes? Get out of here? All right
later guys, children, Hey Cavino, did you see Mike's fights
on a Friday night? I might just walk down angry
hate you or something? I said. He hates that rich guy.
(36:33):
You know, I just saw Mike and the hallway.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
That's interesting, not that I care. I'll still have people,
will have a little party, now, you know we should do.
That's a Friday night. So after the show, I was say,
I'm Danny g let's all just we'll go to my place,
we order food, watch a fight, have a fight night.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
Is it fair that rich bow guarded like fight nights
when I'm the fight fan. Why what if I want
to have fight night? Why we got to hang at
your house? I don't think that's fair. I've been to
Rich's house a couple of times. Have you been to
your place yet?
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Because Rich pulls the I got kids guard, so we
got to go to his place. I want to have
fight now, you want to have football night? We could
do fighting out at your house. No, no away on
this one. You can fight guards everything?
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Now.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Don't you have a spiral staircase? I do. I gotta
see this.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
He just wants to.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Slide down it. In all fairness, I have a smaller
place because I have a condo. Rich has this forever home.
He's got a nice place. But I want to see
this spiles. I have something called an ex wife, so
I have a condo. You know what I mean? Actually,
I think you have a bigger living room. I might.
I don't know. It's very high ceilings. I don't know.
It's a Friday night, so we want to We want
(37:39):
to have chicken fights on each other's shoulders. Covino's place
is perfect. We can echoes echoing you. If you want
to pile on top of each other, put a trench
coat on foballs on the ceiling. It is an observation.
Though November fifteenth is a Friday night. I just double checked,
so you know, we'll talk a little. I want to
talk about the fight next. We'll wrap up with that
more Kevin on Rich. Right here on Fox Sports Radio,
(38:04):

I have a trivia question for you knuckleheads in the room,
(38:50):
and it's always easy when you have the answer in
front of your right. Yeah, you always say that I'm
like Trebeck back in the day rest in peace. It's
easy to look smug when you're reading a hard question.
You're tribunk, Dicky Trebunk, I'm a Samuel Steven Cavino, Danny G.
The three of you will play. Okay, a lot of
(39:10):
criticism because there's a lot of close games with Team USA, right,
they just beat Sudan. Germany was tight, and everyone loves
to glorify the past, right, Like, well, they're not the
dream team that like, you know, you get a lot
of like speaking up. You see Clyde Drexler selling his
gold medal from ninety two. Looks like it has like
the mold on it. Yes, starting clean it before he
(39:32):
listed it, starting at two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
So Clyde the glide Hm selling the Middle So nineteen
ninety two, yeah, and twenty twenty four. Okay, teams that
are thirty two years apart. But we love to glorify
the past. There's two types of people, Danny G always says,
people that are prisoners of the moment, and then there's
(39:52):
people that glorify the past. It's nice to be in
the middle somewhere, right if they played each other. I
hate when people say, oh, dream Team would have whooped them.
I don't know about that. I mean, we're talking about
elite athletes. Here's the question I have for you. The
NBA has made basketball more global game. There's two numbers
(40:14):
I want from each of you. In nineteen ninety two
versus twenty twenty four, how many NBA players are on
Olympic teams other than the US like in ninety two.
In ninety two they had to play How many other NBA.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Players that were in different countries versus how many NBA
players are in different countries.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Ninety two not nearly as many as now. It's become
way more of a global sport. Even you know a
lot of criticism that Gilbert Arenas got for what he
had to say about Sudan. They had a lot of
professional coaches and players and things like that on the team.
So let's see, I already know the answer to this.
You do say that our intern actually told me is
(40:55):
very very cool. Piece it versus is it like hundreds
versus like, well, just take take your take, your guests.
How many NBA, how many NBA players on other countries
around the world that are represented in the Olympics versus
nineteen ninety two. I know it is extremely minimal in
ninety two, So I'm gonna say a dozen in ninety two. Okay,
So you're saying there's gotta bee hundreds in ninety two,
(41:17):
you're saying twelve. How do you say in ninety two?
And for fun, I'll say fifteen? Okay, And now in
twenty twenty four, seventy five, I'm gonna say one hundred. Yeah,
I'm gonna say seventy. You guys are pretty close. In
nineteen ninety two, the Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson
Dream Team had to face foreign countries in the Olympics
(41:40):
with nine total NBA players. Whoa nine only that's crazy. Now,
the twenty twenty four Lebron James Steph Curry led team
has to play foreign teams the Olympics represented by sixty
one current NBA players. Close, So nine and sixty one,
I mean, major difference though, Right, here's why you choose
how much it's grown. It's great. You can't compare.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
You can't say, well, the Dream Team would have whooped
these guys what they have or is the game more
global now?
Speaker 1 (42:07):
It's like the World Baseball Classic.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Yeah, I mean you're you're a kidding. So they have
it nine versus sixty one. Drop that little fun factor
with one of your buddies later at the bar.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
The other countries have all improved, uh Cavino.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Maybe we'll talk about fight night at Europeans. Maybe we'll
talk about who gets Fight Night tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
We'll do that. Plus Midweek Major we do it every Wednesday.
The biggest stories in the world of the sports and
pop culture are they mid week or major. We'll see
you guys later. I'm going to the gym. I don't
know what you're doing. Sae. We'll see you later. Arriva
there you may see you in the Promised Land having
a Tuesday every bow.
Speaker 5 (42:36):
Oh,
