Speaker 2 (00:59):
Don't forget I would see our show and uh, yesterday,
boy was I right?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I said, I guess it's rare? What did I say
yesterday Jets.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
By at least twenty They're gonna murder the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Do you want to hug? Run a hug or a
high front?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
And if I hold myself accountable when I'm wrong, I'm
allowed to pat myself on the back when I'm right.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Didn't you say by twenty six points?
Speaker 2 (01:23):
It should have been by thirty something, Nate? They that's
why lobber, that's why a rod got so mad. Well,
that was lild mock. So I picked the Jets, and
my goodness, could they have let's just say, loved Aaron
Rodgers more last night on that broadcast. My goodness, what
did the kids say? I can't say. I don't think
(01:45):
what the kids say here on Fox Sports Radio, but
let's just say they were non stop in love with
Aaron Rodgers. But he did have a game, he was
in that zone. He wanted, no hugs whatsoever, but props
to him. But the big story even bigger than that. Well,
first of all, double time of possession, three times, the yards,
(02:06):
that game could have been forty to three if they
really wanted it to be.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Well, I think did want it to be.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I think that's why he was mean mugging coach Sala
at the end when he tried to give him a hug,
He's like, yeah, we're up two touchdowns. I want to
be up four touchdowns. Bro, We're gonna get to all that.
We're gonna get to the Jets. We're gonna get to
all your picks. This week, it's a Friday Fun show
with CNR. Right, but yesterday was all about another man. Yeah,
(02:32):
his name is Showtime show Hey Otani. Unbelievable. I'm here
to say, f Babe, Ruth, there's a new standard in
town and hot. We always glorify the past, we always
do it, and that's no disrespect to the legends. It's
just like we're seeing legends making history right now. And
(02:56):
his name is shoe Hey Otani, and it's unbelievable. What
we saw was unreal. Where it's still processing the fact
that he was six for six, he's now fifty to fifty,
he's stealing bases, he's hitting home runs. Dude, he's doing
things we've never seen before. And by the way, we
just missed his fiftieth home run. It was like ten
(03:18):
seconds after we signed off the air yesterday.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
We have no control over the network.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Hard out, I know, and you guys ended by saying,
and watch this at bet from Otani right now and
the hard out hit we are Fox Sports and literally
fifteen seconds later.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Damn think about it.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Talk about big game player guy rising to the occasion.
He's trying to go fifty to fifty, but he does
it in such a way where he's six for six.
He could have got that cycle if he made that triple.
He almost had that triple. And I don't know if
this is true, but Mike runs his Place set it
and he saw it on social media, so it has
(03:54):
to be true.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Mostly true. Who said it, Ohn, Mike runs his Place.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Not player in baseball history was able to do what
sho hail Tani did in one night. Six hits in
one game, Okay, five extra base hits, fair, ten rbon ah,
(04:21):
three home runs.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Right.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Some people may have had three home runs, but they
didn't have ten RBI. Someone may have had ten RBI,
but they didn't have the three home runs or six
hits or six hits. He accomplished some of these milestones
in one game, and no other Hall of Famer has
done all of these things throughout their career. Throughout their career.
He did in one game. I know that sounds confusing,
(04:44):
but think about that for a minute. We're seeing an
unbelievable player do unbelievable things, and again he's not completely healthy.
But I do agree that also allows him to focus
on being a great hitter and we're reaping all the benefits.
That's that's better that a slow pitch softball stat line.
(05:04):
That's better than a little league stat line. Who goes
six for six with ten Ribby's three home runs, five
extra base hits. That is again, no player has done
that in their career.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Video game mode. He did it in one night. It's
unreal watching this guy. Oh my gosh, so oh Tony.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
The greatest day baseball history really was.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
It's not debatable. It is the greatest day. We witnessed,
the greatest day. No props to Joe Davis on calling that,
but truth, yeah it was great. This is not real.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Life doesn't feel like it. It's not even little league.
I don't think a can little league has ever had that.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Thing.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Told you I dominated a little league, not even close.
I had a three home run game. I didn't have
ten RM behind.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I set it minute ago.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
That's that's better than any little league or slope pitch softball,
like I'll come home breaking to my wife, like Cony
I went four for four with two home runs.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, I'm playing with fat old guys at the park.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
And by the way, he was like a half a
step from the cycle though, think about that would have
been man, he deserves everything and more. You know when
that guy is unbelievable, You know when you don't want
to be the old guy and think a replay is real? Yeah,
like another one, No, Grandpa, that's a replay. I felt
that way at the gym. You know, Tony hit another right, yeah, yeah, player,
(06:34):
I was like, no, I saw this he already he
oh wait, hold on, hold on one second. I didn't
want to put John Sterling. Oh oh oh, sorry, it's
the replay.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I felt that way.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
I'm watching the Mets Phillies at the gym and they
cut it with a Tony home run and I go, oh,
it must be the one that we that we saw
at the studio.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Oh wait, no, that's not the what Okay, So my
question based on this.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
We gave you the stats, you've seen it, You've heard
about it all night long. They were talking about it.
Show Hey and Aaron Rodgers, they both had nights, but
show Hayes was ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Was getting about one twenty in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Of all the things that he accomplished yesterday, No, but
of all the things you've seen and the highlights you've
watched and everything he did yesterday, the five extra base hits,
almost the cycle, three home runs, ten RBI six hits.
Of all the things you've seen from this guy, what's
the most impressive to you? Like, Rich, you were really
impressed to see how he just flew around the bases
(07:31):
yesterday because he took a regular, like routine double and
almost turned that into a trip. I said to you, guys, like, what,
Dude's fact, what just wreaked of stand up double? Ninety
nine percent of guys, he almost got that stand up double?
Do the little dance at second. Yeah, he almost legged
out a triple on what really was just a ball
in the gap picked up cleanly.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
What's the most impressed.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
The speed and the fact, the obvious fact that we
are forgetting there's another layer of his game, and that
is a cy young level pitcher. It's when we were
kids thinking about how Bo Jackson was running for touchdowns
but also climbing walls in the outfield Robin home runs
and hitting home runs and beaten infield hits out like
(08:17):
like he's you know, Ricky Henderson. What we're seeing is absurd.
Put it in perspective, it would be hard. It's hard
to process and put. It's when we talked about like
circus numbers, when we talked about bo Jackson.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
You try to put in perspective, like all right.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
That would be like, you know, Derrick Henry also hitting
home runs or McCaffrey also playing baseball. It doesn't make sense.
But when I tell you that would be like Aaron Judge.
What if I told you, oh yeah, by the way,
you don't might not know this, but Aaron Judge is
a starting pitcher that could get you maybe fifteen to
(08:54):
twenty wins.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
It just doesn't feel real.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
How about this too, It's very subtle. I gotta give
Mike who runs this place credit. He makes great observations.
He really does, Michel Mike who runs this place looks
like Rick from Punk Stars.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Looks like Stone called ten years old, even though he's
younger than he looks like this.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Never heard of him. He goes and look how respectful
he is when he takes his curtain call, like not
only putting up monster numbers six for six, three home runs,
ten rbi, fifty to fifty. But he's so humbly. He
takes his curtain call right. He waves to the fans.
(09:34):
He's a super duper star.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
He almost sits shy.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah, he's shy and humble about it, but so respectful
to the point where you see him wave to the crowd.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
But he also acknowledges.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
I think he acknowledges the picture and says like, I'm
not trying to show you up. Yeah, right, like you
see him he waves to the crowd. Then he turns around, Rich,
and you see him look toward the diamond, and I
think he's looking toward the picture and be like, hey man,
I'm not trying to show you up. I'm just you know,
I'm just saying thanks to the crowd. He gave the
picture a little look like no.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Districh, like it's unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
And then to think about this, remember how the season
started with all the controversy.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
I was just about to say, I'm glad you brought
that up. Rich. You took the words out of my mouth.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Rich, Remember your first thoughts on that when we were
live on the air when that was all breaking news
with Dan Bayer on our show. You thought, and some
others thought too, uh, oh, that translator is covering for Otani.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
He's going to go to jail.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
And you thought that was Ah, you don't need this
noise to start the season. This is a bad start,
you know, to think that he put up these numbers,
these type of numbers, with that kind of start.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
All that controversy. That was weeks of controversy. Man, You're like, oh,
man Oltani, look what he's doing. He's blowing it in
La This is terrible.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Do you think his old translator, uh made a prop
bet for him to go fifty to fifty before all
this like that.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I knew that was coming.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
But it's kind of a forgotten thing. It's like we
all kind of forgot about it.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
There's some other athletes who probably would have unraveled around
all that noise.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Unbelievable. So again I posed this question based on everything
we saw. What impresses you the most. It'd be something subtle,
like I said, the respect he showed to the opposing team.
It could be the fact that, hey, they pitched it
to him in the first place. What impressed you about
the whole experience or his skills. And man, I'm also
here to say, for as much as I love history
(11:22):
and the legends, seriously, Babe Ruth, forget about him.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Step aside. Yeah, there's a new guy. You know what
he has in common?
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Though, And I'm not old enough to have seen Babe
Ruth play, unfortunately none of us are, should I say, Yeah,
but those old black and white videos we've always seen
growing up our entire lives.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
The one thing that and I'm not alone, that we
notice about Babe Ruth how easy and smooth his swing was.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
It looked like effortless.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
He sort of stepped into it because they weren't pitching
nearly as fast.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Well, that's one thing with Otani though that I love
watching in yesterday that forty ninth home run. That might
be the most beautiful swing I've seen all season, where
it literally looks like just a smooth little golf swing.
It's so natural, and it's like he was born to
be the best player ever to live.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
It's insane. You know what it is, You've seen it
more so with pitchers.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Japanese baseball players have slightly different mechanics sometimes than American
and of course Latino players notice it. Yeah, yeah, there's
just a you know, I guess said this is a
different strutting there swing or something. And there's just this
little hitch and smoothness to his his swing that is
just different.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
There's something about in swing. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
I believe it was Colin Cowherd that said it this morning.
You know, you see all these highlights and clips throughout
the day. Guys, we lived the same life as you.
You know, you're scrolling, you're watching highlights, you're seeing all
these clips. And I believe it was Colin that said
something along the lines of even in the Dodgers lineup,
when it's just stacked with superstars, you got Mookie Betts, right,
you got Freddie Freeman, you got sooner per stars on
(13:00):
this team, and they pale in comparison to the skill
level of this guy. He makes them look average, where
guys like Mookie Betts are even like man, I don't
even know what do you call it. Call him sexy.
He's just a sexy player. So you may have thought
they were. He thought they may have been, you know,
going overboard with Aaron Rodgers last night on that broadcast. Well,
let me tell you we're gonna go overboard on Shohil
(13:23):
Tani because I've been a baseball fan my whole life.
We all have, and what we're seeing is unbelievable. And
mind you, I'm not a Dodgers fan. I'm just making
that clear. I'm not a Dodgers hater either, but I
think we're all a fan of greatness and we witness
it every night with this guy.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
And he stepped up so big last night, big le
big lee for real.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
And clinched a playoff spot rich with that, which is
something obviously he never did with the Angels.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yep, yep, yep.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
So the next thing, is that the single best performance
ever by an athlete?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Yes, yes, yeah, yes, dude, absolutely give me a one
in a single game.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Thinking about like again, those are those are video game number.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I know what you're saying, Like like a one hundred
point NBA game and he could join the game. I
know who beat him, Bo Jackson and tech Mobile had
better stats.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
That's the only person.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
That's the only Marcus Allen maybe in Tech Mobile, Mark
McGuire in RBI Baseball, Like I don't there's no other
person I think that had that kind of day with
that kind of significance too. He was going for fifty
to fifty. They're clinching a playoff like unbelieved. Talking about
big time play Well, there's two layers I want to
bring up before we move on to the NFL. Layer
(14:36):
Number one is and by the way, Rich, I'm just trying.
I'm trying to process it. I really am, so talking
it out with you guys is making me and hopefully
you guys sort of absorb what we're witnessing. Skip Schumacher.
I really admired what he said after the game. It
was interesting because you could have pitched around this guy
(14:58):
at some point, you could have not went after him.
And listen to what Skip said.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
I think that's a bad move, baseball wise, karma wise,
baseball god wise. You go after him and see if
you can get him out. And I think I'm out
of respect for the game.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
We're gonna go after him, right. I love it.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
That's a great answer. Like, listen, I'm not dishing it
up for him, but I'm not gonna walk him. I'm
not gonna You know, this is good for baseball. Have
our best pitchers go at him and if he wins, yeah,
then he deserves it. Yeah, but we're going after it.
I love that.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
And the other layer is all.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Right, now that we've done this six or six, ten
ribis fifty to fifty all right, Show Hey, you're the greatest.
You'll be pitching next year, maybe in the postseason. Here's
the question, how much does his postseason performance play into
how you view him? Because this is his first little
little taste, his first sniff of the postseason. Keep in mind,
(15:55):
the Angels weren't taking him there, so we get to
see show Hay on the big stage wearing the little
patch on his hat. He's a playoff player now come
two weeks from now, Little Taste. I think he's one
of those unflappable, unrattled sort of guys where he steps
up and lives in those moments. Seems like it right,
He's so calm and cool and collected. I mean, just
(16:18):
what he did last night proves that. I don't think
there's any moment bigger than what he's capable of. And
I can't wait to see that in the playoffs. And
like I said, with that greatness, you get that discipline,
that that humble side of his culture as a Japanese player,
have you seen that Rob Low story that's gone viral too.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
No, Rob lowell handsome.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
He's on the view or something telling stories about I
forget what show it is.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
It's definitely a show. I don't watch Rob Low.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
The guy who was the NFL hat. Yeah, No, that's
Rob Polenka. No, or is that Rob rob Low tells
the story of how he met Shoheo Tani And it's
like a magnificent sort of thing. Oh my god, show,
Like even movie stars are like enamored by this guy,
right because he's massive, just by stature too. And he
(17:08):
says that he's working out and he goes to show. Hey, yeah,
I'd love to get a picture, and he's like, absolutely,
give me one minute. He goes, He comes back out
in full uniform. He goes, he gets stressed just for
this moment, stirrup socks hat just for the picture.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
He goes, And I felt so bad, like he didn't
have to do all that.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
And then later on he texts Rob Low and asks
him permission if he could post.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
The photo just out of respect.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
He goes, No other athlete would have treated me with
that amount of respect. He goes, kind of shows you
what type of guy he really is he goes. No
one else would have done that. So man, it's the
little things about the guy. Forget about the monster home runs,
the little things that are also pretty impressive about this dude.
Speaker 6 (17:59):
Show.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
I'm going overboard, rich and I think we all are.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
What we witnessed was a once in a lifetime thing
where we'll tell our grandkids that, Well, we were on
the air right before it happened, Rich, or as it
was happening. So we all witnessed it yesterday and it
was unbelievable. We have a Babe Ruthian type of story,
you know how old guys be, Like I saw him
call the home run, he called his shot. Oh let
(18:24):
me tell you about the babe. We could tell our
grandkids one day he was. He was September, September nineteenth. Oh,
they never forget it. Showho Taney.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
He was going to be the first fifty in fifty
to fifty.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
And let me tell you it wasn't just a new
ordinary day for him, Grandpa, how you're trooling? Yeah, no, seriously,
but it was one of those days. You'll be feeding
the ducks thinking about that one day as an old guy,
and what a better time to be a sports fan
with NFL Week three here, nine games left in the
baseball world.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
That to me is ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
You got a weekend series, you got a weekday series,
and then the finally, you know, the final weekend. So
every team's got three game sets left. It's just as
good as you could get in the world of sports. Ably,
we'll talk some baseball playoffs, of course, most importantly a
little preview of Week three of the NFL all coming
up here on Fox Sports Radio. Oh right, Now, there's
(19:24):
one feeling in sports better than anything.

Let me just read us to you and then your
phone calls. Eight seven seven ninety nine, OL Fox. Our
buddy Michael sent us this. It's circulating all over social media.
It just breaks down everything we talked about. Bob Costas
made the case that all things considered the game by
show Heyo Tani was the greatest single day performance by
a player in baseball history. Here's what you need to consider.
Six for six, three home runs, two doubles, two stolen
(23:20):
bases ten RBIs. Became the first to join fifty to fifty.
This is all in one game, guys. Dodgers RBI record
in one game. Became the Dodgers single season home run leader.
Missed the cycle when thrown out trying for that triple.
It almost got it, dude, he was motoring motor Ran
helped the Dodgers clinch the playoff spot. Played the most
(23:40):
games eight sixty five amongst active players without a postseason appearance.
Made that official and per opt the stats since RBIs
became official in nineteen twenty, only one MLB player has
ever had the course of his entire career, a game
with ten RBI, six plus hits, five total base hits,
(24:03):
five extra base hits, a game with three home runs
and two stolen bases. Otani did it all in one night.
Now one player has done that in their entire career.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
He did it in one night.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Insane like crazy at these prices back in the day, do.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
You guys think he could go fifty five fifty five.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Yeah, well doubt his game is insane, Sam, and Hegar
says no, I say yes.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I was just about to start singing that. You know
what it really is.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
It really is unbelievable, and I'm glad to have been
able to process that or try to with you here
on Fox Sports Radio. I'm excited to see what Show
Hay does in the postseason. That'll be the next chapter
of his ridiculous story. Sorry, in greatness, we shall see.
Let's go to bud in Austin. You're a a coven
on Rich, It's Friday. Any final thoughts on Show Hayes
(24:56):
unbelievable night?
Speaker 1 (24:57):
What's up in guys?
Speaker 7 (24:59):
First of all, I love going home listening to you
guys at the end of the day. Yes, it's been
going on for a long time.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
You.
Speaker 7 (25:08):
I want to say that I think even if Ted
Williams at his best or Tony gwyn as best, we're playing,
they'd want to go tick BP after the game with him.
He's so good.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yeah, and it's a pleasure to watch. Yeah, it really is.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
And I'm not a Dodgers fan. I got to make
that clear because I know I sound ridiculous and that
Rob Low story you told combined with him giving a
little bow, a little acknowledgment to the picture, like I
don't want to show you up everything about this guy, Klass.
We have put that story of the translator and the
gambling so far in the rear view. As we always say,
winning and success makes you forget all that stuff. That
(25:45):
story will never even be part of his story.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
I don't think in.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Five ten years from now when you talk about Otani, Yeah,
that blip doesn't.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Even come with Grant k It'll never be backing it up. Listen,
I disagree with that a little bit. If they're going
to do a thirty for thirty on show, hey, like
fifteen years from now, you got to bring up the
gambling stuff because it makes it more spicy.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Oho, That is true, all right, if they did a
special on this show is perfect. Nobody's perfect, but he
is almost a perfect baseball player.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
I'm gonna, I'm gonna give you one more. I'm gonna
I'm gonna add one layer.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Well, again, the question was what impresses you the most
when you when you think about all the things he's doing.
What can make this babe Ruthian what can make this
Michael Jordan level of legacy and like where people talk
about for a generation, like, no, it's better if he
plays in the postseason delivers. Follow me here, This is
this is the this is gonna be. I'm I'm Danny.
(26:33):
I'm painting like I'm Bob Ross. I mean, pretty little trees.
This is the ideal scenario for a Dodgers fan, which
i am not. I'm a Mets fan. I'm also excited.
Nine games left, let's go. If the Dodgers find their
way to the World Series, win one, and not only
does o'tani have a very productive offense in the postseason,
(26:55):
if they pull him out of the bullpen, and let's
just say he has a one, two, three inning in
a close World Series game, if he somehow adds that layer,
it would be almost like he's give me a mythical character,
like he's Paul Bunyon or something.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Casey at the bat, it's gonna be ridiculous. That would
be mind blowing. Did you hear Rob Parker yesterday here
on Fox Sports Radio? Though I love the wordy, he's like,
it's fool gayzy. The bases are bigger now. He's like
the bases are like pizza boxes.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Anybody can steal fifty bases. We would have seven texting
Vince Coleman while we're saying that it's true, or Rickey
Henderson on his phone if it was easier.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Ready to be doing it. It just proves that when
we all swim this direction, Rob swims.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
The other direction was protecting the legacy of lou Brock
or something. But he loves his baseball, man, and I
love what I'm seeing. And now we gotta shift gears
to Aaron Rodgers because that was the other really big
story last night.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
He had a game, man, he really did.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
I'm telling you, very rarely do I see something so
year and it plays out because a lot of times
I'm like, it's so obvious, guys, and then it's like, no,
that that didn't happen. It felt like it was going
to happen last night, which is why I was so
adamant that dude jets by at least twenty.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
They're gonna murder him. And that's what they did.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Aaron Rodgers looked like the Aaron Rodgers of old. We
were waiting for it. You knew it was gonna take
a week or so, and they couldn't say it enough
last night. And he had touch, he had accuracy. He
was throwing tight spirals like all this money. Crispity, crunchity.
He was looking crispy last night.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
He was. He had yeah mobile, he was crispity, crunchedy,
he really was. He was. He was extra crispy yesterday, man.
And it was fun to see.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
It was the Aaron Rodgers of old, and it felt
like he wanted to really show that last night on
a bigger stage. But after the game, that viral clip
of him hugging Robert Sala that rubbed me the wrong way.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
I didn't like that. That wasn't a hug.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah, that was weird, and they both downplayed it like
it was nothing.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
I mean attempted hug by sort.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
I mean Rogers joked that, you know, take a listen
to both of them and then I'll give you my take.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Aaron Rodgers, please.
Speaker 8 (29:13):
He's not a big hugger usually, so I don't know
he was going for the hug.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (29:17):
He likes to do the two hand chest push as well, so,
but he talks a lot about two score leads, so
I just kind of game a push and said two
score lead. That's what happens.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
I believe Aaron Rodgers. I feel like Aaron Rodgers was
in a zone last night where he wanted to make
a statement. He wanted to annihilate the New England Patriots.
And after the game he said, like, these Jet fans
have been through a lot, They've been through a lot
of misery. If you're saying that the eye of the
Tiger prevented him from, you know, being buddy chummy and
(29:51):
huggy in that moment, because he wasn't. He wasn't in
that zone, I'll buy into that. It's like baseball if
you had a three or four on lead and people
were celebrating. No, no, no, no, celebrate we have a ten
round lead. Like I think what was going on. I
think Aaron Rodgers was like, no, I'm not done. I
want to break this team. I felt like he was
being a jerk. And here's why. Before we hear what
Sala had to say about it again, I hate to
(30:13):
quote the guy that runs this place, Mike, but I
agree with him. We were talking about it before the
show started. Is he gonna start getting writing credit for you?
Speaker 5 (30:21):
Is he?
Speaker 2 (30:21):
No? Because I actually agree, I mean I noticed it
when I say when I say it, you're like, yeah,
I noticed it too. It wasn't just when Salo went
in for the hug. It wasn't just a push off
of don't hug me, I'm in my zone from Aaron Rodgers.
It was that get the f off me mf or
look that he gave him. He gave him a mean
(30:43):
mug stare right after, like, who do you think you're hugging?
You know you're on my s list, Like there's something
more that I stir in the kool aid, Danny g
you saw that. I think Aaron Rodgers is a peculiar
guy and it's hard to read him sometimes. I think
that was there was a bit of sarcasm, like, yo,
not up by enough.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
I didn't like that get off mek. It was the
look that look.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
We have all seen it from a female and she's
had enough of you.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Yes, that's what that looked like.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Watch that again, guys. You know, like I said, it's
the subtle things like when Sho Hay took his curtain call.
Yes he acknowledges the pictures, very subtle. When Aaron Rodgers
pushes Solo off, he looks at him like like f you, dude,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Look, well, are not cool. I'm captain Romance. I don't
know what you're talking about, Danny.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
But yes, that was a take me to Mastros, not
Taco Bell. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Yeah, like something's not right, Like there was something off
And that does pose the question today, and we'll take
your phone calls on at your observations again. Was that
something or was that nothing at all? Let's hear from
Salah real quick and then an update.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Let's do it.
Speaker 9 (31:47):
Part of the things that we've been talking about is
to just get the defense a two score leads, and
it was two score leads, so I guess he just
wanted to see something on defense.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
So it just reminded me that he I mean, they
both smiled it off. Unless they're both great actors, it
seems like they were being honest. But I didn't like
what I saw in.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
The heat of the moment.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
I like intensity and listen, I'm a Niners fan, as
you know, but in the AFC, I think it's a
fun story to sort of root for the Jets and
see what Aaron Rodgers could do. It's a sad franchise
that the fan base is Thurston. They're thirst They're like
Thurston Howl the third. They are Thurston for some playoff love.
It's been a minute. So when you see Aaron Rodgers,
(32:30):
you know want to take his foot and stomp it
on the throat of the Patriots last night. If you're
a Jets fan, you got to love his intensity. You
got to love to say, Aaron Rodgers is back.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
They looked that way or prisoner of the moment.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
That's a two and one team. Tua is injured. They
just beat the Patriots. Bring on Josh Allen, Let's see
what they got. In fact, let's bring on Isaac Long
Long Crown. Let's see what he's got.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
To He's got well, Rich, we're actually going to start
with your sam just go forty k gonna play.
Speaker 9 (33:03):
George Kittle doubtful.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Oh Man, the whole team hamstring injury, pass rusher and
Nick Bosa questionable, wow a rib injury and receiver Deebo
Samuel as expected, ruled out with a calf injury.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
No McCaffrey, no Debo, no Bosa, no Kittle, no Roger,
no Rerun, no rent if it if Puk and Nakua
and Cooper Cup weren't out, I'd be nervous. I think
the forty nine Ers defense has to win this game,
and Brock Purdy is going to have to do something
a little extra this.
Speaker 9 (33:37):
Week, which he is certainly capable of doing.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
I mean, the Rams got their ass whopped last week
by Cara by Arizona, So maybe maybe the Rams aren't clicking,
and the Niners on a week where they're missing I
don't know all these stars. Maybe they they found the
right team to play, so we shall see.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Timing is everything, man. They always get a lot of
fans when they play games. It's so Far Stadium, the
other team that calls Sofi Stadium home. The Los Angeles
Chargers officially listed Justin Herbert as questionable for this Sunday's
game at Pittsburgh, as Herbert revealing to reporters he sustained
a high right ankle sprain and last Sunday's win at Carolina.
(34:15):
The Chargers other quarterbacks by the way Eastern Stick and
Taylor Heineke. The Green Bay Packers listed quarterback Jordan Love
as questionable for Sunday's game of Tennessee after Eastprain has
left knee in the Packers' season opening loss to the Eagles.
Speaking of the Eagles, they ruled out aj Brown for
Sunday's game against the Saints because of a hamstring injury,
listed safety CJ. Gardner Johnson as questionable with a foot injury,
(34:36):
the Saints listing tight end, among other things, Taysom Hill
as questionable because of a chest injury, Seahawks listing running
back Kenneth Walker as doubtful for their game Sunday against
the Dolphins because of an oblique injury, and the Indianapolis
Colts listed receiver Michael Pittman is questionable for their game
Sunday against the Chicago Bears because of back and calf injuries,
(34:57):
the Bears ruling out receiver Keenan Allen because of a
heel injury. Fellas as you conclude, nodding conspiratoriously, conspiratorially at
each other, back to you, Ah right, I.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Was just looking at convenock. Is anyone playing this Sunday? No?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
No, I mean this is this the remnants of no
preseason snaps and everyone like maybe jumping right into game one.
Speaker 9 (35:19):
They would appear to be under that impression.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Oh boy, thank you, Isaac. All right, we got more
ceingr coming up. A lot of NFL will go over
our picks. I have a thought about the state of
the NFL offensive world. I'll explain coming up now, TD
Tuddy taking it to the house. That's uh. There's many
ways to say touchdown, convenow if they all matter more.

head so far? My ass? I don't you know what
I did? Yesterday?
Speaker 2 (37:50):
After Otani and Rogers, who's making their debut as a
starting quarterbacks? Oh, that's right, we talked about Arch Manning
and if he pans out the way they're thinking, the
Mannings may take over the Williams sisters, the Matthews, the
Matthews family in the NFL. Like, could the Manning family
be the most elite athletic family? What about the Mahomes family?
(38:11):
My dad, big league picture me, you know, like we
talk about family legacy.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Does this seal the deal for the Mannings?

You're making money, money, money, Who yoe? This week? Not
so easy?
Speaker 2 (39:06):

all right now, I like to do bring that solar power.
(39:35):
I like to do a little parlay money line three teams,
and I never like to go more than three, because
then now you're just being unrealistic. And if you do less,
has that any fun with the odds? No, So we'll
go three games moneyline parlay. I'm gonna keep betting against
them until they prove me right.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
The Saints are not that good. What is going on
in the NFL. I haven't not scored yet. They looked that.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
So I'm going Eagles money line, which is plus one thirty.
Do you not feel good about the Eagles coming up
a tough loss? You don't think Nick Sirianni's got a
game plan. They're going down to the Dome. I love
the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Do you agree or disagree? He said, Dome dom Hi.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
I also like the Detroit Lions, another team coming off
of disappointment. You know what they should have done, ground
and pound, run the ball. Remember Week one when the
Rams kept backing up on their heels and he said
pound stop it. The Rams couldn't stop that offense, the
run game of Detroit. They abandoned that last week against Tampa.
(40:48):
So I'm going Detroit at Arizona. I need a little
more proof in the pudding that Marvin Harrison Junior and
Kyler Murray are the real deal. Detroit should have could
have won the NFC Championship game last year against my Niners.
So I like Detroit on the row ad as a
favorite to beat Arizona. I'm going money line, though, so
I'll go money line Detroit, money line Philadelphia, and then
(41:10):
if you want to throw one more money line in there,
I hate it, but I think I'm going Kansas City
on the road another road team, but I'll again Patrick Mahomes.
Do you bet against him until they lose? I wouldn't,
and I listen. I liked you what Atlanta showed last week,
but I don't know. Kansas City is a different beast.
(41:31):
So those are your three money line bets.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
I like the k C one best. Here's why I
don't like Detroit.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
I like Detroit, but a lot of noise in Dan
Campbell's life and world this week especially. You know, he's
being stalked, He's forced to sell his home in Detroit.
Did you hear that, soul want to see a couple
of cities?
Speaker 1 (41:50):
Hey the storyline?
Speaker 2 (41:51):
Yeah, forced to sell his home after he's being stalked
by crazy fans and threatened and things like that. And
as far as the Saints, I don't know, man, that's
a tough one. I'm saying, you like the Eagles here,
but the Saints look really solid. So here here again,
let me say one more time, Draftking sports book Code,
see our show. Hey this could fall on its face,
(42:12):
or hey, maybe I'm getting hot right now. Kansas City
at Atlanta. Now, you might say Richard picking all road teams.
I know, but I just think Kansas City beats Atlanta,
Philadelphia better team than New Orleans. I'm still not sold
on the Saints until Alvin Kamara and Derek Carr called
me and they're like, yo, dude, you're just wrong about us.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
But rich you know what's not changing with the Saints.
They're oc Clint Kubiak is the name we keep hearing
the past couple of weeks. He is aggressive, He loves
to go down the field. He will not allow Derek
Carr to do his dink and dunk routine.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
Gary taught him, well, huh, his pops. So hey, we'll
put it this way. They couldn't have done anything more
to prove that they're legit, so maybe they will be
exposed this week.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
We see and Detroit, I said.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Until Arizona proves a little more to me, I like
the Lions to rebound and get to two in one. That,
by the way, Chiefs Eagles Lions DraftKings Parlay one hundred
pays five oh eight n There.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
You have it. That's power parlay.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
Thank you, Rich David Prown, Buddy, we got more NFL,
more baseball playoff runs all coming up right here, Fox

Speaker 1 (43:18):
He is so hot.
