Sports Radio's YouTube page. Yoh, that story you told me
this morning on our Patreon. I can't say much about
it here, but if you're bored later just google sug night,
boiled egg, boiled egg test, boiled egg test.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Actually, maybe you don't want to no, no.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
When you're doing the bull scroll later, let's say happiness.
Let's just say there's a disturbing, ditty story. I mean,
all of them have been disturbing. This one was like, wow,
this is like holy banes. All right, Hey, Baseball NFL tonight, Hey,
you maybe watch old Caitlin Clark. See if she stays

(02:04):
alive in the w NBA.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Now, I'll be watching that Vince McMahon documentary, you.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Know's uh, let's both watching old chat about it tomorrow.
So there's a story that it's gotta be true because
it was on social media and I saw a lot
of people chatting about it.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Danny, you said it to me, yo, this guy has bananas. Huh.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I love this guy, at least for what we do
for Dan Newton's funny. Not only does he have funny hats,
he's funny. I find them entertaining. What kind of hats
are those? By the way, because he used to wear
mounty hats. Now he wears like marching band hats like
Grand Marshall of the Nerd Parade hat? No, I mean
what is he wearing? A water buffalo hat? This hat
he's wearing in this clip, right, Yeah, it's like looks

(02:48):
like Christian McCaffrey brought this back from Germany from What
kind of het is that he goes to leader Hosen?
I don't know what kind of hat that is. Yeah,
he's very fashioned fit German for sure.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
The Jonans fashion something Cam Newton looks like a jockey hat,
like a tall jockey hat.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
He's gonna get on a monstrous horse. This guy's huge.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I gotta see him holding a lantern. Oh yeah, you're right, spot,
he's like a bud crane. Right, it's a jockey hat. Right,
it's a jockey hat.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Dumbest thing. But here's how cool hicker it it? He
really cut him. He pulls it off though he's a handsome.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I imagine I just want everybody for a moment, just
to imagine wherever you work right now, wherever you work,
your buddy Hank rolling in wearing that ridiculous hat. I
will say, there's something to be said, and I'll before
I make fun of him, because I'm going to, I
will say, because he's a handsome guy and well dressed,
he could pull it off. I would feel so insecure

(03:48):
and embarrassed. Dude, there's like a handful of people that
could pull that off. It's like Lenny Kravitz and him.
That's it. They were a new pair of sneakers that
are a little you know, if I were Jordan's had
a little too much color in them. I'm like, Oh,
everyone's looking at my feet. He's ridiculous. Well, Cam Newton
in the news because he's always saying nonsense. But I'm

(04:08):
curious if you think this is in regards to Eli
Manning being announced as a nomination for the National Football
League Hall of Fame, this is what Cam Newton had
to say. If he gets a gold jacket before me,
I deserve two of them. Well, you can't spell elite

(04:30):
without Eli, as they used to say. Right, he did
beat Tom Brady did he not. He is a Manning
and he did post that he had a better college
debut than his brother, his dad, and his nephew.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Did you see that.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah, Eli Manning is a two time Super Bowl champion
that beat Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, not once, twice.
I mean, that's remarkableressed. I can't give all the credit
to Eli, but he was the starting quarterback. Some crazy
remarkable plays tyree comes to mind, for sure, But to

(05:06):
think that he did it, you can't take it away.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Ever, it's amazing. Listen. I know that there is Am
Newton didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I know there's a difference between athleticism and being a
good quarterback in the NFL. And I understand why Cam
Newton gets mad because he looks at Eli Manning and
he's like, that guy's better than me. Yeah, he's thinking,
I got more athleticism in my big toe, in my
little toe, the one that cried all the way home,
we we wee. I got more athleticism in that toe

(05:36):
than Eli Gunberger Manning.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
There, and he's probably right about that.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
There's truth to that. Doesn't mean Jack Didley squat. That's
not the question. The question is Cam Newton more deserving
of the NFL Hall of Fame than Eli Manning. No,
does anyone think that? No, he does. Again, is he
a better athlete? Did he have more potential? Does the

(06:06):
Does he look at his peers in the NFL and
think they all know I was legit? Yeah, they all
know he was legit. But the NFL is all about winning.
Man doesn't matter how legit or how great he could
have been and should have been, and it actually was.
Eli Maning won two Super Bowls. If he gets a
gold jacket before me, I deserve two of them. Your

(06:28):
thoughts at eight seven seven, I give him two high
five nine to nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Now, I'll give him.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
I'll give him a high five on his ridiculously stylish outfits.
Could he be one of the greatest specimens and could
he have been one of the greatest quarterbacks that we've
seen in the NFL. I'll give him all of that.
That dude was electric and I love what he says
when he talks about the game. I saw someone interviewing him.

(06:56):
It could have been Oprah, I forget who it was,
Gail King, somebody was interviewing him. They're like, when you
knew it was done? Where did you feel it in
your head or your heart? And Cam Newton said, I
felt it in my head. I'll never feel it in
my heart. Like He'll always feel like he was the man,

(07:17):
and I always feel like he could play. He'll always
have that love for football and cove. I've seen Cam
Newton break down plays. Yeah, he's an incredibly smart quarterback,
athletically gifted. It just didn't work out for him. I
don't know what the real reason is. I mean, I
don't think any of us really do right. Sometimes it's
maybe his own way. Sometimes it's circumstance. We've seen it

(07:40):
with quarterbacks. Maybe you end up on the wrong team,
maybe you end up with a supporting cast that can't
get you there. But Cam Newton in his prime was unbelievable.
He's an MVP. I picture him going in the end
zone and ripping open in his jersey or Superman style.
But with no Super Bowls and one MVP. I don't

(08:04):
see how you.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I don't know lest I checked two super bowls. Trump's
all of that.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
It's not a popularity contest, and it's not a Who's
cooler contest? Yeah, if it's a who's cooler contest, who
had the most potential. Who garners more respect from their peers?

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Contest? Yeah, Cam Newton all.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Day, every day, and unfortunately, you know what's gonna follow
Cam Newton for the rest of his life.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Not going after that fumble in the Super Bowl. That's
what I picture in that hat he wears. And again,
if it's among his peers in respect and style, like
they are a popularity cool contest, Yeah, Cam Newton, all
they bring it in. He gets all the respect in
the world because everybody knows what he was capable of.
What has Eli Manning done two times more than Cam

(08:46):
Newton And nobody knows probably more than his peers and
his teammates, the people he played against. So he gets
their respect all day every day. But dude, Eli Manning
can't take it away.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
What does he is the goofiestess be really about it.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
I'm sorry. I say this with love, I do I
say this respectfully. Eli Manning is the most unassuming goofy
guy probably to ever win more than one Super Bowl.
He has hosted two Lombardi Trophies to Cam zero in fact,
to back up the goofy thing. And that's what that's
why this seems so odd. And that's why Cam has
that attitude about it. I mean, because it seems so

(09:21):
wrong by like optically to back up the goofy angle
as a joke, when Covino would bust my chops, he
would jokingly say, oh, you look like Eli Manning and
that would be like a it would make me mad.
I'm like, no, no, someone said that to you once
and you got mad. So I just leaned into that.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (09:42):
I was gonna say on the heels of that. This
past weekend, I was in on up on game for
LaVar Arrington and t J. Hushmanzada hush Manzada. So it
was me and Plexico Buris, who was a teammate of
Eli Manning at the Giant. So this topic came up
because of last week in the modern era, which is
why Cam new is talking about it, because because Eli's,

(10:02):
you know, on this ballot. And I asked Plexico, who
was in steadfast support of his quarterback, of being in
the Hall of Fame. I said, what, what is What
does Eli have that we aren't talking about, that we
don't know, that we don't see in the locker room.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
It's a great question, Dan.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
And he said nothing. He's a goofball like that, Like
that's what it was. He was my locker mate, he
goes he was a prankster. That's who he was in
the locker room. So like I thought there would be
this deep message of leaders. He rallied us in Philadelphia,
you know, in that point. But he but he said no.
He says his numbers speak for themselves. The Super Bowls,
he's tenth all time in yards passing and that that's

(10:41):
there's only nine guys that have thrown more than for
more yards than him. Matthew Stafford probably going to pass
him this week. But top ten in all time passing
yards is nothing to sneeze at.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Tom Brady twice, When you beat the goat twice, doesn't
it to be the man?

Speaker 1 (10:58):
You gotta beat the man? Is that what they say?
That twice? Bro?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
And beginning, middle and end of the day. You can't
take it away from him. Is Cam Newton? Was Cam
Newton a better quarterback?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah? Every day of the week.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
But did he win? And that's really what this is
a game of winning. Man, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Eli also had an extraordinary ability to stay healthy in
a league where everyone gets banged up.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
I mean, hey, and that's found a way to them.
You know, that's a lot.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
You can say a lot of that's luck and we're
conditioning or you know, hey.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Dude, that applies to life. Though that's just sour grapes. Yo.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
There's people on the radio way more popular than me,
and I know, in my heart of hearts, I could
do radio circles around them, radio circles because I've been
doing radio since I was a teenager. Yet these guys
are getting paid tens of millions of dollars in a
stink on the radio.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Okay, A life's not fair.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Cam Newton could be one of the greatest quarterbacks we've
ever seen. He didn't win facts and that applies to everybody.
There's someone doing better than you right now. You know
you're better than that guy. That's all that Cam Newton's
really saying here, That's all he's saying. I could say
that all day. There's dudes on TV that I see
every day. I'm better than that guy.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I know every TV in.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
The studio is on ESPN, FS one, CBS, Sports, NFL Network.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
I see people every day where.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I'm like, they stink, I'm there. I you can't get Yo,
you don't even want to know what I think because
it would sound arrogant, and I don't want to be that.
But I know I'm better. That's just confidence, right, So
I don't want to sound arrogant, but I'll be confident
and tell you that I know that I'm better than
a lot of these podcasts that are making tens and
hundreds of millions of dollars. We've dedicated our lives to this.

(12:57):
We're broadcasters who do a podcast. So I know that
I know him better. That's what Cam Newton's saying. I'm
better than Elin. Just pulled to Cam. Yes, I did
it for the sake I know saying what he's trying
to say. What I'm better than Eli, And that's what
And that's the best way. You just made your point.
You are. You are better at what you do than

(13:19):
someone that may be more popular, allow winning followers, or
you know, touted as as man.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Have you heard that podcast? I'm like, yeah, I did.
And his stinks.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
That's how he feels, but hey, that's how life is
sometimes such as life, such as life. Sorry, Cam, you
were great, everybody knows it. You didn't win a super
Bowl and Cam Newton sees scenarios where and by the way,
it doesn't mean he can't be.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
In the Hall eventually. Not everyone in the Hall of
Fame won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Cam Newton's see scenarios where guys like Malik Willis or
Brock Purdy or Skyler Thompson the other day got a
chance like he sees that and that angers I'm.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Sure, yeah, But you know his misstep here is also
bringing someone down to lift himself up. That's never a
good look either, Right. I'm not calling people out and
saying this guy stinks I'm better than him.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
You know it. He knows it. You keep it and
leave it at that. Let the people decide that for you.
Everybody knows it, and when it comes time for him
to get in, maybe he will eventually. That doesn't and
shouldn't take away from what Eli Manning accomplished. I think
that's the bad look here, and that's where it gets lost.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Do you think Eli sees that and he's like, Yo,
what did I do to you?

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Ken?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Exactly? That's my point.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
I wonder if Eli's affected by it, laughs at it,
gets mad at it, chuckles to himself like, yeah, I
got two Super Bowls? What do you got funny hat.
Everybody feels that way. So your thoughts in some way
covid and rich. You know, I'll take a few phone
calls on this now and then Spot. I could see
you fevershly working on a sick episode of.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Midweek Major.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I was just stop thinking my resume, sir. He's updating
his LinkedIn spots that looking for new gig. But uh,
Danny g the phones are hot. He's on amalle. Start
with Mason, your thoughts on Eli and Cam Newton?

Speaker 1 (15:13):
What's up? Mason?

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Hey?

Speaker 7 (15:16):
Hey, So if if Cam Newton deserves two gold jackets
over Eli, uh, well, then von Miller deserves four for
putting him on his ass and cracking him down in
the super Bowl and giving him a wolf in. How
about that Cam lash?

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Mister Gilmour's jacket, Thank you man, thanks you.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives it?

Speaker 8 (15:42):
Chick?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Thank you? Thank you. I was saying, I love you
for having that on stand bike. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
I mean I've said all I need to say. Cam Newton,
cool guy, athletic, super athlete. But we judge people in
sports based on winning.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
I think the argument came from should I be a
first ballot Hall of Famer, Like, I don't think that
there's really any question that he's going to get into
the Hall of Fame at some point, which is what
I think. Cam is arguing that he shouldn't even be
in the Hall of Fame. But he's up for induction
for the first time this year, and there are a
lot of people think that he should be a first
ballot Hall of Famer.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
H that's it, that's the arc. That's a good argument.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
That's so a bad look, and that's why Cam gets
to criticism. You think he should be saying that Eli
shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
I'll tell you what he should, probably say he should
because I think that would better Cam's case, that's what
I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
I don't know, he's he kind of gets in his
own way, and that's why he's in these situations. When
you mean to talk about MVP voting and Hall of
Fame voting, there's always contrarians, and there's always people that.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Say, well, they don't deserve first ballot.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
But eventually, and that's an interesting thought too, like we
don't want to give you credit quite, you know, you
want to give you too much credit, which leads me
to and I don't want to derail the conversation because
we got all the phone calls, but I want to
ask you, Danny g Danbayer. I was talking to my
buddies at softball last night. A lot of Dodgers fans
talking about the Yankees, Dodgers, Otani, Judge, they.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Were all firing up about that who's having a better
season conversation.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, I got all the softball guys listening to our show,
Danny j and number one in the softball community. There's
a lot of people to play softball in the valley.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Number one in Rosita, California, number one in the valley.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Listen if you play softball off of Balboa. You know,
Cavino and rev. But the conversation was, should a voter
get their vote taken away? Should a sports writer or
or media personality get their vote taken away? If Judge
and Otani don't unanimously win MVPs, Yeah, because.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
I think you're not taking your vote serious. Yeah, if
there's one.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
If there's If it's not one, Otani one hundred percent, Judge, if.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
There's one, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Like the there was a solid case that people made
for a long time about Lindor. There's other guys, right
that were really crucial to their team's success. But you
know that fifty to fifty and that game in which
he did it really put it over the Mets fan
and I'm I would almost argue that you should get
your vote taken away if you don't vote Otani and
then Lindor.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Number two, and it would judge them.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
You know, if there was a real convincing argument as
to why I'd let that guy slide. Maybe, But now
if it was just because uh, I don't know he
had something against him, or the take wasn't legit, yeah,
you lose your vote right. Three quickies and then little
midweek major coming up. Let's go to Calvin in Indianapolis.
What's up, Calvin? Hey Calvin, Oh, how y'all doing.

Speaker 6 (18:33):
I woulda tip my hat off to you guys. Your
guys are awesome and announcers and everything.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Oh thanks, man.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
I I think I agree with what the one of
y'all said about Cam Newton.

Speaker 9 (18:44):
He make it in.

Speaker 8 (18:44):
Eventually, but you don't make yourself look good.

Speaker 6 (18:47):
About it down to somebody else. Because some of my
family grew up with Cam Newton. Uh and they just knew.
They thought he was going to be the new everything,
which he had the talent, he has everything. His situations
didn't work out. He's liopit in his ego, you know. Yeah,
thing came out and just got in his ways.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
That his ego is not his amigo.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Because when you say Cam had everything, and he had
everything from the from the looks to athleticism, he had
it all. Still has it all. So you can't take
anything away from the guy. It's his attitude that needs
maybe a little little tracking adjustment.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
It's a little if.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
It was a VHS tape, that little tracking, that's just
a little Jimmy, what's up Yimmy in Texas?

Speaker 8 (19:32):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 9 (19:33):
At a Monent's happy to call into the best show
on radio and uh hopefully soon on TV.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
But what's up? Broo? Bro?

Speaker 2 (19:40):
I heard just rumors that we're going to be the
main show on f S two, f S two soon
maybe f S three, we'll see.

Speaker 9 (19:48):
I don't know yet f S three. Hey, but with
this Kem Newton deal man, it reminds me of back
whenever he said that, you know, what's the difference between
a game manager and a playmaker? I think that's I
think that really is what why why Manning is over
is going to have an opportunity over him first, because yeah,

(20:10):
like you said, I mean, hell he still has it.
I mean who else do you know they can look
good in those top of hats. I mean, the dude's
got everything you want and a person and as set everything.
But he was to fix on being the game like
a superstar Inpact player opposed to be in the manager.
Every every team has to have a captain and that's
what the QB is. If he chooses to be the
playmaker at that time, great, but he should also be

(20:32):
able to know who to make the playmaker to get
first down, win games.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
You were a captain's hat, but didn't have the captain
qualities he was about him.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
You know, that was so perfectly said. That was the
difference between him and Eli. Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (20:45):
One quick thing on that though you don't lead the
league three times in interceptions in our game manager, I
know you're talking about how you would know your team.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
But he was slinging there and everywhere.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
There are times where Eli would either throw an interception
or a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
I felt like, well is he yeah, yeah, boom or bust?

Speaker 9 (21:05):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
Victor in Texas wrapped this up. What's up? Vic?

Speaker 8 (21:09):
Hey, gow's it going?

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Guys?

Speaker 8 (21:10):
This is my first time calling in at all to
any show. So the dynamic great jobs you and I
completely agree with y'all said about Cam Newton and Eli.
I mean, to a casual football fan, yeah, I could
see that, but any football fan knows he's a Brady player.
Can't take that away from him.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
True, it's unbelievable, and to do that you ruin the story.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Man.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
The Eli Manning story gives hope to every nerd out there.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
He crushed I mean, he beat an undefeated, handsome Tom Brady.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
Yeah great, Yeah, I can't tell the story of the
NFL without mentioning Eli Manning in that situation.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
You cannot, I Wilson, Spot, I know you got it
all lined up.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Tom Brady lost, who beat him? Oh wait till you
see it'll be like Steve Erkle beating who's the biggest
hell Rob Low or something that, like in the eighties,
Steve rk.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Will beat the rock and what in wrestling? No way,
Stefander Kell could.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Yeah, well, Spot, I know you got Midweek Major lined
up all the headlines that were missing in the World
of Sports and Entertainment will do that next midweek major
here on.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Coveno and Rich.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Now you've put it off long enough, it is time
to replace your tires and your car tie.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:20):

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Come on, Covino and Rich, get you over the middle
of the week. We're mid Week Major. Hey, I love that.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
We throw sports and pop culture headlines and topics, said
the fellas, and it's like the kids.

Speaker 6 (25:02):
Say, that's summit.

Speaker 8 (25:04):
We definitely here.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
To see it. Are scoring midweek major remix?

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Yes, because we've got to give Spotty at least seven
minutes here. Surely you hear the horns That means you
have made it to the middle of the week, ladies
and germs. All right, before we hand things over to
the number one and only host of the segment, like
to roll that big red love dice at the main
studio Oh, yeah.

Speaker 8 (25:28):
Do it?

Speaker 1 (25:29):
I just rolled in eleven. Danny g Oh wow, it's
gonna be hard to beat. Come on that'll hey, Danny
g guess what my car may be? Total total loss rights.
The news goes, I'm a big winner here. Did you
get to go first? That first take on this?

Speaker 4 (25:46):
And now, ladies and gentlemen, the most famous person besides
Judy Bloom from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, that's me, spotty boy.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
All right, you know what we're gonna start in baseball?
How about that?

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Right?

Speaker 1 (25:58):
This is my favorite story and I want to go
the puppy who lost this way.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
No, So the a's as we know, I've had a
lesson cellar season went sixty eight eighty nine, low attendance,
the moves on the horizon, the fans hate them. So
the MLB store released the hat. Yeah, that fans say
basically have summed up the organization.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
So the hat. Let me see if I can describe this.
You can look up the picture online. Part of the
Shadow collection. Yes, it's the Shadow collection.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
It's the a apostrophe s but it's shadowed, so it's
multiple times on the hat. But the shadows of the
A kind of fade away. So basically the.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Hat just says as the team is ass and it's
a best sell.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
It was so actually the like it went viral, fans
were just being like, yeah, sums up the season.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
It got pulled down from the site.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
You can no longer find it, but like fans were
just having a great time with it.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Maybe major, This is major. I love hats, and you
know what I mean. If you're a sneak your head,
sometimes it's just about getting your hands on them because
you want it right and increases in value.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
From my knowledge as a guy who clicks hats, I'm
always on culture kings, what New Era is putting out there, fanatics,
I'm always checking out these hats. This was in my algorithm.
My knowledge is sold out. It was a thirty seven
dollars hat. Yeah, so I don't know what it's retelling
for now. Right now, I'm saying, everybody wants a little
piece of his hat. It's the Oakland ass hat. And
who wouldn't want that?

Speaker 1 (27:23):
I want the Oakland ass hat.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
I think this is major because it's you're like, yo,
you're an ACE fan.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Like, no, bro, I'm not an A's fan. I'm an
ass fan saying.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
This is the This is the most we've talked about
the Oakland Asens. Jason Gumpy, this is the most we
talked about the Asens, Mike Diego.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
So I think this hat has value too. It wasn't
sold out. They've pulled it. Yeah, I said that.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Okay, I found out that I thought it was sold out.
But you know, I'm sure you might not have the
answer in front of you. But the people that did
order it, are they going to follow through with those
purchases or no? That's funny about it too. Who's the
guy that okayed this right? Was there any time my
thought like I like this, aren't these things approved? Like yeah,

(28:06):
that one that's great Johnson, great design. Ass not an
ass man. And by the way, it looks like it
says as really not like any like you have to
try to look. No, no, it says ass with Oakland
a a.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
So farther I'm looking on eBay. No, no reposts of
the house. So we'll see if you got this one.
This is a collector's item.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
By the way, video of fans since their last game
is tomorrow, ripping out the seats at the coliseum and just.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Walking out you think they're just taking them and.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Going, Hey, by the way, do you think there's gonna
be kids in foreign lands rocking the ass hat?

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Is that what happens? So yeah, I gotta do something
with them. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Sticking to baseball, Pirates out of postseason contention, uh for
since what since twenty fifteen? Haven't been in the playoffs,
but one of their players out a whopping two hundred
thousand dollars. So with their season practically over, Pirates were
shuffling around their roster in the final, bringing up some
players from the miners, but as a result, they designated
Rowdy Telez for assignment four not games, four plate appearances

(29:10):
short of a two hundred thousand dollars bonus four plate
appearances that he had a less than stellar month batting
one sixteen.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
The GM is saying.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
That it had nothing to do with the bonus, but
the Pirates are actually one of the lowest as far
as salaries or payrolls in the MLB.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
So Midweek or major.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Dude, we just talked about getting in your own way,
as radioheads said.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
You do it to yourself. He's batten one sixteen yees
over the side.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
He was beat in the two hundreds over the summer,
but in September it was about the bonus.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
It's good business. You don't give a guy a bonus
for sucking that bad. You know what.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
I'm glad you said that this is major because I
have the other thought could be known. You just changed
my mind because my thought was even in I remember
there was one year CC Sabathia was like one inning
shy of a bonus and he hit a guy in
retaliation of one of his players, and the Yankees are like,
we'll still give you the bonus. It's good business now,
so you know what. This guy was beat in one

(30:08):
sixteen doesn't deserve anything. Yeah, man, Since when I say mine,
my take was major because this why are we Why
are we giving a bonus to somebody who doesn't deserve it.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
It's like giving someone a tip when they say it's.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Gonna ask you a question, you think that you did nothing.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
You get nutting?

Speaker 3 (30:26):
All right, Well, I know we mentioned it earlier. Everyone's
kind of getting down on Travis Kelsey about his less
than sellar performance this season. We've talked about it, other
organizations are talking about it.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Well, Rich your favorite show coming to his defense, the
view of Whoop be.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Goldberg went on a rant defending the relationship, their relationship
and mainly Taylor Swift, selling all the haters to quote
shut up. She thinks it's outrageous that fans think Swift
had any role in the stats so far, says people
need to grow up. Your team is they're winning. The
rest of the panel chimed in, I'm sure Joy was
jumping in rich you love Joy. I hate saying it's

(31:05):
a sexist and tired take from their misogynistic fans.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Yeah, so Midweek or major.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
I guess any story involving View and Travis and Taylor
Swift is going to be major. So I think it's major.
But dude, when you're as big as they are, right
and they put themselves in position to be I guess
I don't say scrutinized, but with all this power and

(31:35):
popularity is going to come a little criticism. So I
think it just comes with the territory. Nobody's hating on him.
He hasn't played well. I think any story involving the
View is weak no matter what. And let me explain
this is coming from me, says a lot. They're the
most unprepared show on television. Have you ever watched those

(31:56):
Have you ever watched those women talk about a subject
they've done zero research on. I'm not saying they're unintelligent.
I'm saying they don't research their own topics. It's manure.
It's been ten in truck of manure. It's honestly, stop
talking about sports. WHOOPI Goldberg cost me three hundred bucks.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Thanks.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Let me squeeze one more in full circle moment. So
Tom Brady signed Ricky card recently went on the auction
block for with Southeby's and Fanatics, and on Tuesday, one
lucky buyer snacked that card for a whopping a one
hundred and twenty thousand dollars. The buyer none other than
Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Oh, this is cute.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
The card itself, which was graded in min condition with
a nine point five rating, the autograph itself a ten rating.
Only one of the few cards actually printed. Because Brady
being the one hundred and ninety nine pink and pick
in the sixth round, not many cards were printed, so
very rare card Cresson's Craft took a chance on Brady.
I thought it was a nice little moment mid Weeker Major.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
I think it's major. They have a great relationship, they
have a lot of history. I love that these guys
are fans at heart. It's like the owner of the Diamondbacks,
Ken Kendrick. He has one of the most stellar baseball
card collections.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Of all time.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
So when you see these dudes showing extra love for
the game and their players, I think that's kind of awesome.
You know, Nasty Nestor who's on the IL as Dan
announced before he collects his own cards.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
You know. So the fact that Kraft got this one,
it's kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I'm not gonna say midweek war Major. I'm gonna say beautiful.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yes, the Becta Robert Kraft bought Brady's card.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I think it's really nice and it shows what a
great relationship they had. And hey, championship after championship hoisting
that Lombardi gotta love it.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Thank you, Spot, thank you. And Rich put it in perspective. Man,
You know.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
We think we love sports. Guess what these guys we
talk about love it more than we did.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
That is true, all right, Dan Bayer, what you got man?
Update the world really just quickly.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
That was also an era when he was drafted when
we just assumed cards were never going to be anything
because all of our cards, yeah, ended up being worthless,
so we just assume that especially NFL cards, Yeah, those
would be worthless as well, just like ours were.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
And you're right, they came back because we realized they
are worthless, and then it sort of created the reverse
to me.

Speaker 5 (34:12):
Yes, yes, absolutely so more power to those that continued
in the game. There will be no game between the
Mets and Braves tonight in Atlanta, and there won't be
one tomorrow. Major League Baseball announcing that those postponed games
will be made up as part of a double header
on Monday, and if playoff positioning is not needed where
the Braves and Mets would be set in their playoff spots,

(34:32):
then they won't play the doubleheader. But otherwise, doubleheader set
for Monday one, ten Eastern time in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
I mean, I know you don't know the answers, because
no one does yet, Dan, so I'm not putting you
on the spot. But imagine if it took one game
to figure it out, like I wonder if they would
play the second, Like let's say the Braves won and
that meant they were the two seed. Would they be
like scratch the second game?

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Sure, like if they had a if someone had a.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
One game, it was like, well, it's so interesting or
than one game? League is the Mets of the tiebreak.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
Jason starkhead along, thread on it and I'll think, yeah,
he'll give you the scenarios. As Kavino mentioned, Nester Cortez
placed on the fifteen day il Yankees pitcher not available
tonight as Marcus Stroman will take his spot in the rotation,
and who knows if he'll be available in the postseason.
Earlier today, Mariners took it to the Astros eight one. Seattle,

(35:20):
still alive for the final wild card in the American League,
fills out to a three to nothing lead on the
Cubs heading to the third inning in Philadelphia. Some NFL
injury news Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold along with Niners quarterback
brock Perty we're both full participants in practice. Justin Herbert
of the Chargers limited Packers quarterback Jordan Love limited Commanders
who ruled Austin Eckler out for their game in Arizona

(35:40):
in Week four because of a concussion. Bronco's head coach,
excuse me, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce confirmed that Gardner
Minshew will start Week four against the Browns of Broncos.
Linebacker Alex Singleton done for the year because of a
torn ACL Guys, back to you.

Speaker 2 (35:54):

Speaker 1 (38:08):
What what are you doing? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (38:09):
Hurricanes, I'm thinking tonight is a good night for Do
you ever have a meal that you designed for like
one of those? Yeah, I'm a little under the weather
chili nights and I'm thinking tonight. How good does this sound?
You're having a chili night?

Speaker 1 (38:21):
No, No, chili does sound good? Chili? How about this?
Danny J. You may think this is gross or awesome?
Are you down with a sweet grilled cheese with tomato soup? Oh?
That sounds lovely? Yeah? I like that? Is that like
a perfect fall?

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Like that?

Speaker 1 (38:35):
I feel like sweet spot?

Speaker 4 (38:40):
Have you ever had like the deluxe grilled cheese where
the cheese is like cooked on the outside of it, having.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
A nice bisk o spot butternuts, no chunks of tomatoes
tomato that's just gross creamy tomato soup spotty? If you
do so, do you got the sniffles or something?

Speaker 2 (39:00):
I just feel like there's a difference I think between
being sick and under the weather, or do you not
believe in that a little rundown? Are you trying trying
to be like Humpty Dumpy and have a great fall,
nice little crispy night apple, a little crispity crunchity night,
maybe some tomato soup. Well, I'm just saying, if you
spot you're the you're the foodie of the group here.

(39:21):
If you were to construct with your creamy tomato bisk
or soup, yes, you want to get like a thick
artisan bread.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
What type of.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Sour dough I'm gonna need a sour dough, basic grilled
cheese if you're dipping it dipping it in any bakon
or tomato, No bacon or tomato, no fixing multiple cheeses.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Of cheeses.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
Fix there's going to be at least three different cheeses powers.
I feel so left out of this, But you guys
are like way passionate about this. Or you could try
that trick with a you spread mayonnaise on the outside
and it creates like a nice don't get silly, No, I.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
Didn't know there was so much of a science behind this.
Some of us don't eat protein bars for every meal
like you. Yeah, so hey, tonight, enjoy it's one of
those nights.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
I guess whatever you're doing, I just.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
Think it's the night Rich You're gonna have to just
root against the Padres tonight. Be an honorary Dodger fan
for the night.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Well, Danny, I want your team to win the division
for you to be happy. But what I need, though,
is for the Padres. This is all dumb thinking, but
follow me anyway. I need the Padres to keep their
hunger alive because when they play the Diamondbacks in the
final three, I want the Padres to feel like they're
playing for the division. Still, Well, why don't you do

(40:39):
an instagram live of you eating your grilled cheese them
a little bit?

Speaker 1 (40:43):
Maybe I will.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
You could do an instagram of you keep their hunger
scratching your thighs watching Aaron Judge.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
Yeah, it's gonna be the Dodgers finishing out the season
in Colorado for the final three, and as you said,
Padres at the d Backs in Arizona for the final
three tonight. Dylan Cees versus Jack Floherty.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Oh look, you got lots of options, mister McMahon on Netflix.
Great baseball. But remember tomorrow something else to look forward to. Yeah,

fifteen twenty years and you know, do this till we're
