(00:21):
DeVante Adams is a sad Panda.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
We gotta talk about all that more plus show time,
homes trivia, some trivia giving back to you. We got
some prizes to win if you want to get involved.
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox and again hit
us up at Covino and Rich. Hope you had a
Titans Lions sort of Monday. Hope you're enjoying the games today.
We'll go over a lot of the baseball games and
all the action going down as we speak. But you
(00:46):
mentioned Pete Rose. I do gotta shout out John Amos
eighty four years old, Good times, good times. That dude
was a g and owner and founder of McDowell's. So
you know, I'm hitting the Golden Arcs tonight. And dude,
if you're an American history fan, History Channel fan, I
should say American Pickers. Frank Fritz, Mike and Frank. American Pickers,
(01:08):
one of my favorite shows, passed away at the age
of sixty. If you ever watched American Pickers.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
He's the dude with the beard and he had I
think stomach issues a while back. They moved forward with
Mike's brother and he had a stroke about two years
ago and passed away today at sixty. So man celebrities
going down. It has been a bad week for celebrities,
everyone from John Amos to Pete Rose to Maggie Smith. Yeah,
(01:33):
between last week and this week. Christopher Sefferson, I mean
there's a ton of people unfortunately, a lot of our
childhood legends.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
John Ashton, the captain from Beverly Hills Cop that's right, yeah, yo.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
I was saying, maybe out with some good times when
you get a chance, because I want to pick the
brain of one Dan Byer. Ain't you lucky we got him?
You know, the best update guy in the game. Ain't
you lucky we got him? dB? Last night You're Seahawks
putting up II one hundred and sixteen total yards. It
was the Lions defense. Little suss last night as a kid,
(02:05):
say or do the Seahawks have a legit offense going
there in the Northwest.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
I think that they're a legit offense. I think that
Gino Smith is proven his worth. And now when you
have a new offensive coordinator and Ryan Grubb now four
games in, when you look at their team, they actually
have weapons everywhere that way. Yeah, whether it's Kenneth Walker,
the third Zach Scharbernell's field in for him when he's injured.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yet, weapons everywhere, but you can't use him or I'll
still throw a flag on Hie.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Sorry Wizard. Yeah, it's they were just playing catch up.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
But with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and Jackson Smith
and Jigball thet they got plenty of guys to throwass
like that.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
The whole time I'm watching, I'm like, I'm so confused
because the Lions it felt like they convincingly won. But
Seattle threw up twenty nine points, Gino Smith three hundred
and ninety five yards moving the ball. It was Dino
might it's a high scoring game. You called in the
beginning of the year, when I was saying, yeah, Niners,
who else in that division you did call? Your Seahawks
(03:06):
might be a little better than people think, and the
Rams certainly look like they're struggling without wide receivers. Yeah, yeah,
you can't count on that, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
I think the Cardinals are a team that plays tough,
but they were kind of outmatched by the Commanders this
past weekend.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
So so you say we're going back to the twenty
teams where it's Niner Seahawks or what we could be.
I think the Seahawks can get one against them.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
I think they'll go as far as they are in
the playoffs, but I think they could they could get
a win this year.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Well. As I said yesterday, the Niners just seem to
not finish strong, even when they hold on Wilson Phillip style.
I know your favorite song spot. Someday somebody's going to
make it want to turn around and say good bye, thanks.
I do think that the Niners need to figure it
out how to be ahead in the third quarter and
(03:51):
say finish him and really just step on the throat
of their opponent. They let teams hang around, and I
think if you let a team hang around, you will
bump into a couple opponents to take advantage of your
lackluster finishes. It's been a lackluster.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
That would be the Dolphins last night, oh Man Titans
with the big win over them. But again, I hope
you enjoyed your football. Some great baseball today, Like you
mentioned DeVante Adams, got to talk about him and other
sad and unhappy players. But any other thoughts on Pete
Rose to really get it going. I want to get
into Pete. But one last thought. You did wrap up
last night's Monday night doubleheader Seahawks Lions. Both teams look good.
(04:30):
It just seems like the Lions just outplayed him right
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
And they were at home. They were fired up in
their new uniforms, which did look sweet. I thought so.
I thought they were cool. They you know, Jared Goff
was looking crispy. My thought about the other game not
interesting on the field. But Danny, you hit us up
with this article and I saw it on barstool and
a couple other places. Some dude in the crowd was
showing how Mason Rudolph was dming his girl, and he's like,
(04:57):
not only is this guy messing up and beating my team,
he's dming my girlfriend.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
Like about a terrible night for a Dolphins fan there
in that crowd.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
You did not see this. Here's a dude, a Dolphins fan.
He's like, not only they beating me. He goes, look, honey,
he gus his girlsen and Mason Rudolph is dming his girlfriend.
But that's Legit seems like.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Well this is here's the thing, and we can probably
grab the audio. By the end of the segment, Mason
Rudolph joined Doug Gottlieb on The Doug Gottlieb Show just
prior to you guys coming on and addressed the whole situation.
So there's an answer to this wreck news. Yes, yes,
I want the.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Teat Doug Gottlieb an entertainment journalist.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Now all right, Mason had break it down and at
a head coach, tell us what happened, give us the scoop,
where are you DM or what?
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Let us know.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
I want I want to scoop on that. That's juicy,
as Rich's dad would say. So before we get into
unhappy star players in football, primarily Pete Rose. We said
it here on the air, we said it on our Patreon.
I don't want to take any sort of credit there,
but it's just coincided with the recent documentary that came
(06:11):
out on HBO Max. We're like, you gotta acknowledge people
when they're alive. The dudes in his eighties. You gotta
get him in the Hall of Fame. You gotta be
able to separate the man from the athlete, the man
from the artists. We do it all the time with
music and movies, but we don't do it with Pete
Rose because he gambled.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Give me a bread with that. The weird part is
if you go to the Hall of Fame, his stuff's
in the Hall of Fame, right, He's just not enentrined
in the hall. Here's what irks me.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
I get that, But you got to acknowledge him in
the sense of putting him in officially because his numbers
are ridiculous. What he did and meant for baseball is
unheard of, unprecedented. He was a player manager using the
league forever he was baseball. He played hard every game,
Charlie hustle. So to hold that over his head all
those years when life had evolved within his lifetime, to
(07:05):
me was hypocritical and ironic. And when we learned in
that documentary that the Hall of Fame could have independently
done whatever they wanted aside from baseball, meaning Baseball could
have said, hey, you broke the rules, and your ban
for life and rules or rules and tough. The Hall
of Fame still could have said you're in the Hall
(07:27):
of Fame, but they chose not to, and they chose
to follow the Baseball's league, Like the Commissioner of Baseball had
even said, Hey, we don't care if the Hall of
Fame puts them in. We just can't do that with baseball.
It's very clear in baseball you can't bet on baseball.
So I do find it to be sort of ironic
and hypocritical, and I think it's gross to irolling that
(07:49):
the Hall of Fame, even through a post on social.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Media acknoledging I was gonna say that was gross to me. Yeah,
that's like when you hate someone and then they die
and you're like, yeah, rest in peace, Rest in peace.
You don't even like the guy. Everybody, all these dudes
that we honor till this day, guys like ty Cobb.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
You always hear terrible things about all these dudes, but
they're in the Hall of Fame. You mean to tell
me all those dudes there were great guys.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
They're all in the Hall of fame. And you know,
the guys that we admire in Hollywood, the artist we
moonwalk to. You know, we're able to separate that.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
But when it comes to Pete Rose, no no, no,
rest in peace to Kemia with Tambain.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
We're not consistent with the music thing though, like R.
Kelly's not on radio or TV anymore as far as
his music goes, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
And so if you're if your jams are banging enough,
then we make it kind of like.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Radio.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Pete Row should be the Michael Jackson of baseball then,
because look at those stats, good numbers, it's insane. Second
in second place is what is Ty Cobb? And is
by a lot. So he broke crazy records. He's the
hit king. Was he the best guy? No one's saying that,
But was he one of the greatest hitters, the greatest
hitter of all time?
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Probably his stats prove that.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
And I think it's kind of whacked that didn't acknowledge
him when they had the chance, when he was alive.
And the moral point that you and I came to
Rich on our Patreon this morning was you got to
take these life lessons and use them to your advantage,
Like if there's someone who's around and you had a
falling out, you know, piece that up before they're gone,
before it's too late. Because if they put Pete Rose
(09:23):
in the Hall of Fame, now, who cares he died already. Yeah,
if there's someone you hadn't say I love you too,
where I miss you or I'm sorry to you, do
it now while they're here. Honor people while they're here,
not when they're gone.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
I don't I want to be careful making this analogy
because they're different people. But I feel like as we
dig in and learn more about certain quote heroes of
ours and legends, there's a lot of people that have
a great side and a dark side. You saw that
with Vince McMahon. If you watch McMahon, If you watch
mister McMahon, you're fired what he provided. And you know,
(09:59):
all these old school wrestlers looked at him like a father. Meanwhile,
he was doing a lot of bad thing.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
But you could separate the mogul the businessman from the
actual man.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
And Pete Rose. I'm saying he's a great guy, saying
he's a great businessman. I heard Matt doc Grosso he
was taking phone calls, and there's people telling stories, and
the consensus was Pete Rose was great to the common man,
like if he met fans, blue collar guys in Philly
or Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
He's also very victim of being a generational sort of guy.
I bet you as a guys guy, people got a
kick out of him. But in today's world, as an
old man, he just stayed around too long and probably
got in his own way based on the things he
said and how he handled the whole gambling controversy, and
you know.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
There's some other suspect things about Pete Rose, but there's
a lot of people that said, like a lot of
heroes and a lot of legends, there's there's the good
side and the mad side, right, and if you stick
around long enough, you probably get both sides exposed. Right
For every guy.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
That says it's a tragic story though, that that guy
didn't get what he wanted. Look, that means the world
to him. Guys like like a rod, you know, the
Hall of Fame means everything to those Listen.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
I get it's a different time, and I get there's
still no gambling in baseball, but you know how there's
some dude that probably got locked up for having a joint.
And now like everyone's smoking weed and buying gummies and
edibles and oh my my drinks with THC and them.
The way weed is just so accepted in society. And
there were people that got locked up because they had
a little bag of marijuana. Pete Rose did his time.
(11:27):
Essentially to me, there there's something about Pete Rose and gambling.
And then you look at a me myself this morning
and it's like, yeah, how funny the day Pete Rose dies,
all the all the gambling sites are putting up Judge
versus Otani playoff special parlays. By the way, who do
(11:50):
you think Otani to hit more home runs than Judge?
Minus one oh five when it comes to oh, Otani
and Judge, you combined for more eight more than eight
home runs in the postseason plus plus two hundred. That's
that's a lot. But they see there's all these prop bets,
and you're like, look at us. We live in a world.
We live in a world of DraftKings, code, see our show,
(12:11):
you know, fandels, bet MGM, all these different things, and
it's and it must be odd. It's all great, Pete Rose,
it is. It's sad. It's probably sad to us.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
It's obviously sad to his family because they all know
how much baseball meant to him. And off the air,
we were discussing in our pre show meeting that Baseball
MLB did give him his opportunities to sort of work
things out, you know, in that All Star Game in Cincinnati,
and they opened the door up a little bit, and
instead of making it right and owning up and taking accountability, Yeah,
(12:42):
he was Pete Rose and got in his own way.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
I acknowledge that.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
But it is sad still and tragic that this dude
didn't get into the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Before he passed.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
You know, at least he got to see the documentary though,
John Madden style. He got his documentary on HBO Max
and if you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth the watch.
Was he a flawed guy, Yeah, seem that way. Was
he a generationally different guy?
Speaker 1 (13:10):
One hundred? You mix those things together. He's an old guy.
He said a lot of inappropriate things. He behaved inappropriate
in today's world, for sure, There's no question about it.
Was he the all time hit king and then he
gave over twenty years twenty plus years to baseball. Yes, now, listen,
you could say everything I'm saying is not mutually exclusive.
Just because gambling is legal now doesn't mean it was
(13:32):
okay for him to bet, but again on himself. He
never bet. We can't treat it.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
We treat his gambling rich like he murdered somebody. But
to bet on your chief Bob Costas famously said he
didn't bet on every Reds game, So what did he
know about the games he didn't bet on. And he
was the player manager at the time, so that could
change some things about pulling a picture or keep or
putting a picture in you normally you.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Don't know if you're always trying to win, Betting on
yourself is not illegal. In my mind, if I would
be like Danny, I bet we're gonna have a great
show today, I'm trying. I'm trying. If I said Danny,
I bet that we have a bad show today, and
then also I just doze off.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
Yeah, And I get the culture of gambling and all
that not being fair right now as far as your
point about Otani versus Judge and the way things are
now with sponsors, but that's for the fans of the game,
not the players. We still obviously care about the integrity
of these games.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Agreed. Agreed to Danny's point.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
What about if you didn't bet on them on the
night game, but you liked tomorrow because the other team
was throwing their number five starter, so you hold back
on who you put in from your bullpen.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
I guess there are little rubs and captain. But again
that's fair. Then fine.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Baseball could hold him accountable for as long as they want.
MLB could say, hey, you're one of the greats, but
your ban from baseball for life. The Hall of Fame
still had the opportunity to say, true, but we still
accept you into the Hall officially if they wanted to.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
And now we'll never get that. He'll never get what.
I'll wrap it up by saying this, because we are
going to talk Devanta Adams NFL Wildcard games going on
right now. Don't you dare whoa Hall of Fame? WHOA
put Pete Rose in? Now? It's dad. It would be
in the most gross taste in my opinion. I gotta
(15:20):
say it before it happens. One and A, one and
five hundred and thirty eight teams trailing by three runs
in the ninth inning, and Houston is now down three
to one second and third one out. A base hit
ties the game. And historically I just pop up teams
that are trailing in the ninth by more than three
or more one and five hundred and thirty eight.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Wow, Detroit fans have to be nervous right now. This
is a big game to take from Houston. But Houston
battles in these situations. And the Royals, I believe, are
off to a nice start. They're up one and yeah, Baltimore.
So we'll keep you posted on the wild card games.
We'll talk some NFL. We got show time I ma
homes trivia prizes to give away again. We're Cavino and
(16:02):
Rich eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox before we
took Devonte Adams.
Speaker 5 (16:06):
Rich.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
We do have a few.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Calls on Pete Rose and John Amos and everything perfect.
And by the way, I hope this trend stays alive.
It seems like all the traveling teams are on the
board first, so that let's go Mets.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Let's go Mets all the road. Tosh I held up
two outs, no tag and no tag that was too
shallow to tag. Good move, but you can drop. I
thought it was gonna drop. But yeah, two outs Detroit
up three to one on the Astros will keep you
in the loop. But let's say, what's up to Bruno
and Brooklyn Bruno, what's up? Any thoughts on Pete Rose?
(16:40):
Rest in Peace and the Hall of Fame and all
that was up?
Speaker 7 (16:43):
We love you guys. Man, Hey, I just want to say,
this is the divisive is the character as the man was.
I do believe that there's going to be some sort
of a push to get in and after the fact,
and I don't want to see it. I keep him out.
I don't want to see this guy go win posthumishly
because it's it's not only not fair to him, but
to all the people that have been pushing to get
(17:04):
him in all these years. To put him in now
because they think it's the right thing to do is
completely upside down.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
I agree, let him rest in peace. No hall of fame,
it's his legacy. No hall of fame.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, I mean again, can't state enough he was an
imperfect guy, got in his own way, but still belonged
in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
That's how I feel about. That's my personal feeling on
Pete Rose.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Growing up as an eighties kid and just studying the
back of baseball cards, thinking, man, what he did is insane.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
What's that crazy stat?
Speaker 7 (17:33):
Rich?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
If someone hit two hundred hits for twenty years, they
still wouldn't have that. If you got two hundo for
twenty you'd still be shy of the amount of hits.
Pete Rose has some Major League Baseball. Yeah, but Anyboddy
gambled I know, and it was wrong at the time,
but he did his time, and he lived in a
world to see a change where they could have accepted it.
Let me make something else clear. Only two players of
(17:56):
Major League Baseball this year hit two hundred hits, So
you'd have to hit more than two hundred a year
for twenty years to catch Pete Rose. Imposse Bladee. You
know what. There are two strikes, two outs, bottom of
the ninth. Let's see if Detroit could finish off Houston,
and then we'll talk, said DeVante Adams. Oh live fell ball,
(18:20):
and of course we'll talk some more wild card And
I do want to play this Doug Gottlieb Audio about
Mason Rudolph kicking it to a girl in the stand.
So why don't we cueue that up? Iowa Sam, and
we'll wait one more pitch to see if I know
we can't do play by play, but we'll wait one
more pitch to see if Detroit could finish out game one.
Because in these best of threes, you win game one,
(18:41):
it's a major advantage. You're like, it's this is not like, oh,
you drop game one. It's okay, you drop game one.
You can't lose again two and two? What if he
watchs the bases loaded with two outs? Oh, nerve racking.
That's why playoff baseball is so great, you know, after
we you know, hold the hold the Doug Gottlieb budios
because I do thoughts about playoff baseball all over the place,
(19:03):
having fun here on CNR. Do you think the pitch foul? Again?
Do you think too? While the Major League, While the
NFL season's super exciting, while the NBA has a cast
of characters and personalities and they're very social media driven
and always in your face and a lot of fun
after you get through the one hundred and sixty two games,
(19:25):
fair to say that baseball postseason is as.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Good as any sport. I mean, I think so. You're
talking to a baseball fan.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Yeah, full count.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Call me old school. I'm like an eighty five year
old white guy. I like baseball and boxing.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Baseball eighty five year old, thirty five year old white
guy caught forty year old Latino guys by Yeah, yesk dude,
I love baseball. I think it is great.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
Way did you see who's in the on deck circle?
Former Dodger Jason Hayward.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Oh wait, Hayward's on deck. It's a full count if
you walk some bases loaded again. The scores three to one,
Detroit over Houston, Game one. Yeah, so second and third,
nailn Bier right now, second and third, full count? He
walked or pitch Jason Hayward. Jason Hayward up bases loaded?
(20:16):
Talking about you mean the guy, the guy that the
Dodgers said, y'all peace out, we don't need you.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
Well, Rich, remember what we talked about when you asked
which team do you think would get him? Or why
would you grab him for your roster? And I said,
because he's a vet, he's got that experience.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
And that's probably exactly what Michael Kay's saying right now,
and this is why they got him. Yeah, we can't
hear any audio, no, but I know, Michael Kay of
the Yankees is calling this game. Yeah, so bass is loaded,
this is Houston, this is fun. What's up, dB?
Speaker 4 (20:46):
I'll tell you what Michael Kay said in the stat
that you mentioned of the three plus runs, he said
that the that Jason Hayward was a member of the
Cubs team in twenty sixteen that got the loan victory. Wow,
that's what Michael Kay was saying. And that's that was
since nineteen ninety in postseason game, they just showed it again.
One and what five thirty eight.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yes, if you're trailing by three or more runs in
the ninth in the postseason, you can't write this man,
one and five hundred and thirty eight basses, juiced basses
are just I think the I think the fact that
it is Jason Heyward makes up for the fact that
it's the astros Ooh. Like it's almost like it's a
good point. You're balancing it out. You're like, coh, damn.
I know, I find myself charing for Hayward. Yeah, he
(21:28):
was done dirty, no question, so him come through. It
would be really awesome. Detroit. Such a good story, right,
hit they're the they're the sixth seed. You know the
fighting Tigers. Come on, here's the pitch. Oh, he takes it,
Paul One.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
I will say this because we're getting the visual and
I know, if you're likely listening to the show, you
don't have the game in front of you. The helmet
logo stickers of the advertising completely distracting. They are enormous.
It is I noticed that it is. Yeah, there's there's
no hide.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
To get it.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
That also added a hypocritical feeling of yeah, but Pete
Rose gambled on his team baseball, trying to cash in
any sleazy way they can give me a break.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
So yes, And there's a big strauss on the side
of his helmet and on his sleeve.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
OX he's on his sleep. I thought it was going
to be on the back. Yeah, not like on the
side of the football helmet.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
And you know what, dB, if it's a switch hitter, wow,
I'm telling you man, Look, these are your if the
pressure is getting to Detroit right now, you got a
two in one count. If it's a switch hitter, DBA,
they have both sides of the helmet for that guy,
so that there's no way the ad could be sure.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Lost right now. They're like the Steelers there's just a
logo on the one side. All right, we got two
and two cants.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well, you know what, in the meantime, I want to
go to Dan Buy for an update and we'll interrupt it.
So if it happens, dB, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (22:56):
You better not interrupt me during my updates. So it
is three to one Tigers on top of the Astros.
Bottom of the ninth inning. Tigers are a strike away
from getting this game one and they oh getting out
of it. Tigers, go ahead? Do you want to take it?
Speaker 7 (23:13):
No?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Go ahead, o Jaz. They were lined out the first base.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
But it was like a nice line. Yes, it was.
So the Tigers survive. What a scored two, could have
scored three and ended it.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
It looked like he got a single there. I thought
off the bat, off the bat, I thought he had it.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Yes, But in the end the Tigers have it, winning
three to one over the Astros.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Now a final. You know what, I want to play
This audio from the Doug Gottlieb Show. He caught up
with Mason Rudolph and this was viral last night. There's
a dude in the crowd and during the game he's
looking at his girlfriend's phone. And he's like, Yeah, not
only is this guy beating my dolphins, he's dming my girlfriend.
(23:57):
And Mason Rudolf addressed this take a listen.
Speaker 8 (24:00):
I was responding actually to whoever the girl was had
sent sent a few messages my way. I believe he
was a Steelers fan, and so I was responding back.
Speaker 9 (24:09):
But you know, water under the bridge, it's.
Speaker 8 (24:11):
It was a response, and it was about eight months ago.
It was definitely not in between second down going to
third down. Put a good frame job, a good frame
job for a little fifteen seconds of same. I guess
you know, it's all that's what these kids are going for.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
You know what if if I'm Mason Rudolph, I would
I would have been like, yeah, you know what I was.
I was in such a zone. I was dming girls
in between downs. I'm that good bro. So there you,
Doug Gottlieb, Doug Gottlieb, thank you for clearing that up
with Mason Rudolf.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
I got three street hits to start the game. That
is awful. Nothing brew. You gotta.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Take Sevy off the mound for a minute, come to breathe.
But then, but the bummer was that the first ground ball? Yeah,
you could argue was an error by Ventos a third.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
But it was hard. It was hard.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
It was misplayed though, so the Brewers up one nothing
early lead, three straight hits, and it's playoff baseball man
wild wild Card Taco Tuesday. In fact, this National Taco Day.
And that's why I'm wearing my LFE shirt. You see this,
he has a plethora of pignatas and tacos and a
(26:41):
taco to need.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
A great three amigos reference. You have a plethora of talking.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
You see a planthada, and we have a plethora of
things to get to. We haven't even talked about DeVante Adams.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah, let's let's get to DeVante right now. He seems unhappy.
Huh means an understatement. I mean, listen, what's with all
the poudy attitudes? Even Aaron Rodgers seemed a little poudy.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
He took accountability, but I don't think him and Solid
are getting along that well based on some of the
body language and things he said.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Well, you didn't need to be an investigator to see
during the show Receiver on Netflix, Danny, I know you
are a little bit of denial of this. You gotta
be honest, because I'll give you the props when you
get it right. But it wasn't denial Rich. It was
watching the entire series. You made it seem like, yeah,
I think he's old, right, No, no, no, no.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
What I said was he got along with Antonio Pearson.
He was one of Pierce's biggest supporters. That's what's changed, right,
But early on he was unhappy.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Pierce may have kept DeVante happy for a second, but
it seems like that's gone sour now.
Speaker 5 (27:44):
Yeah, exactly. He did not like Josh McDaniels, and that
was the case for a lot of players.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Yes, no doubt with that one. But he was on
the k Adam Show DeVante Adams no relation. By the way,
I don't know if Kay Adams Devanta Adams.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
I like when they do a little Adams family thing
though it's Adams a two d's yea. They talked about
his relationship and uh, everything that has to do with
Antonio Pierce and Devanta Adams.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
Take a listen. A lot of people think you're you
may never play another down as a raider.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
What would you say to that.
Speaker 9 (28:16):
All I can control is this this talk we're having
right here, and then after We're done with this, all
I can control is the next thing that I'm monting.
So I'm gonna get up in a minute and go
a nice workout in and that's all I can control.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
So this big story happens where they think your coach
or your coach Jed, I actually don't know likes this
post about you getting traded. How soon did you hear
from coach?
Speaker 9 (28:41):
Yeah, i't. I haven't heard from him. I haven't talked
to him, so I haven't. Uh, yeah, I don't know.
I don't really know exactly what that was about. Obviously,
I got you know, social media as a beast. So
it's a lot of people out there that saw it
and you know, wondering what's going on, and people reaching
out and yeah, I haven't, I haven't spoke to them.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Wow, these are social media baby games. This is where
we're at now in the NFL. It's like when the
public we're following Brittany Mahomes and how many political Trump
posts she liked?
Speaker 1 (29:13):
It must mean she's voting for Trump. She liked the post?
What is it me? List? But then again, when you're
like when your wife when you're just says to you,
why are you liking this girl's photos all the time?
But you know what, can you know a lot of times?
How did you know that you would be shocked at
the lack of communication this has happened. I've seen with
friends of mine and their ex wives and girlfriends and wives. Hey,
what does your wife think? I don't know. I haven't
(29:33):
talked to her. You haven't asked her. The fact that
there's even rumblings and him and Antonio Pierce haven't had
even a slight text message or conversation about it at all.
Doesn't that just speak volumes? No, it does, absolutely, especially
in today's world. You know, it didn't even have to
be in person or face to face. It could have
been through a text or social media DM. You know,
(29:55):
speaking of social media. Uh so the messages you know
we good? Yeah, exactly, Yeah, does nothing stop? You know,
it's so easy to communicate in today's world. The fact
that they had none, I mean, it does speak fine.
This is like a documentary where it's a sports back
in the day in the fifties or even seventies or eighties,
where it's like I tried to call them but they
weren't home, like before we explore it. Who seems the unhappiest.
(30:18):
There's probably Adams.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Adams Aaron Rodgers, based on again his eye, rolly body language,
the disconnect that I feel, and I think I've seen
with him the coach or Travis Kelcey, who's been like
the poster boy for a sad player for the past
week plus. Well, I'll tell you this, look at DeVante
Adams and hear how he spoke to Kay Adams, very desponding,
(30:42):
very like, yeah whatever, I haven't talked to Antonio Pierce.
All of this to me adds up to we can
make all the people you just said happy if you
ship Devonte Adams off to the Jets. Now, some will
say wide receiver is actually not a top need of
the Jets right now, there's other issues bruin in New York.
But could you deny the chemistry that Aaron Rodgers and
(31:05):
DeVante Adams had for years and that would probably pick
up in New Jersey right away. So do you think
the Raiders made deal DeVante to the Jets. I've heard
the Chiefs for the second it was the second round pick, right,
you're not going to go in division. Yeah, I don't
think the Raiders and Chiefs would be having dealing.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
No.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
I think that's the last team the Raiders would want
to send him away to. The Raiders do have youth
at that position. They have Turner and Tucker and Bowers.
Of course, you guys know, well, Jacoby Myers had a
great season last year in a big game this past Sunday,
so maybe that's why the Raiders are suddenly open at
least to talk about moving him if the two sides
are unhappy. But just a couple of weeks ago against
(31:45):
the Ravens, Adams had a huge game in that fourth
quarter comeback. So it makes it more upsetting because after
that Ravens game, I thought, Okay, those rumors can go
to bed. Well, there's obviously deeper problems there in Vegas
with the two.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
Dude guys are two and two. It's not dooming.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Yeah, I mean against the Panthers, they played flat after
that big Ravens win. Their O line was in tatters.
They fixed that by putting two young guys in the Powers.
Johnson Kid and DJ Glaze played really good this past
Sunday against the Brown So suddenly the Raiders had a
running game and it looked like, Okay, they're getting things
figured out, and now this mess happens.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Yeah, and I get it. You want to have a
good relationship with your head coach too. Right in all
these circumstances, but you still want to do your job
and play your best. And what I'm seeing is a
little bit of a trend of unhappy players and they're
letting that trip into their own personal performance. And I
don't think that's a good look at all. And I
think you gotta have that Ricky Henderson mentality too, of
(32:47):
you know, I'm too rich to be unhappy.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
I'm too rich to be sad. Like these guys are
living the life you don't get along with the coach.
Hey man, I get it, but not the best situation,
not the best scenario for you. But you still got
to step up and stay as positive and hungry as possible.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
The one thing that I would say, I don't think
it's the worst thing for the Raiders to do a
deal if they can get what they want for him.
He's going to be thirty two years old in December.
I don't think his value is going to go up
after this season. For who he is. You may have
to worry about leverage on who wants him, and that's
where you can maybe get your max value. But I
don't see the Raiders' best days with Devonte Adams on
(33:27):
their team like, I don't think they're as close as.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Maybe.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
I mean, being two and two is in the NFL,
as he said, half the league is, But I wouldn't
consider them a team that's knocking on the door.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
No, I, Dan Byer, one hundred percent agree with you.
In fact, I think every week that passes, Devonte adams
value goes down. As you see these young receivers get
better and better, Davante is just starting to talk older
and older and unhappy, and Danny, I think your team
is on the they're a young team, they're on the rise.
The Raiders, you know, have some things to be excited about.
(33:58):
Maybe it's just not a good fit, right, Like have
you ever dated someone where you're like, Yo, she's hot,
I'm all about her, and then you just don't have
that chemistry're like, yo, we have bad conversation and the
bedroom's not as fun as I thought. It's a mutual
sort of feeling.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
And I guess if he's unhappy, there's what are they
supposed to do about it? Then I guess it is
the best for everybody to just part ways. If DeVante
Adams really is unhappy for whatever reason, maybe it's Minshew,
Maybe it's the leadership, maybe it's maybe it's the coach
Antonio Pears.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Then they're not gonna get.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
His best, so it's better and best for the Raiders
to say, well, then all right, we'll move on to
get a number two draft pick and find something else.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
So I get it.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
It's a mutual sort of agreement. But not everybody gets
that luxury of calling the shots.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
So when you do, I guess he answer yourself this,
uh Covino, when you are unhappy? Yeah, or most regular
people just got to suck it up in a relationship.
If you're lucky enough to be a professional athlete, do
you think vocalizing your unhappiness is it good or bad luck?
(35:04):
Is a bad look unless you're a superstar, Squeak you
you have been the guy that says, squeaky Wheel gets
see he's.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Earned that he's a superstar. So that's the luxury and
benefit of being a superstar. When we were at our
a previous job, right, we didn't get along with some
of the bosses there. We didn't, but you know what
we were expected to do every day, deliver and perform
and not bring that into the workplace.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
And hey, you didn't get along everybody. Hey, that's life.
I'm just relating it and showing you the contrast and
difference between regular people or an average player and a superstar.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
When you're having problems in your relationship, do you get
more benefit out of complaining about it to every single
one of your friends or do you get more benefit
out of going to your partner and discussing it and
figuring out a solution.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Yeah, he probably could have worked it out. I get
what you're saying. He doesn't have to because he's DeVante.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
I'm saying at this stage of the game, spot DeVante
Adams is a just saying Pro Bowl top ten wide receiver.
Him and Aaron Rodgers were one of the best duos
ever when they were in Green Bay. You think Aaron
Rodgers shoot him a text? Do you think he'll reach
out and communicate? You can't imagine him not, but you
think so. Right? If I were betting, man, I bet
(36:17):
you know Aaron Rodgers is pushing his front office all right,
He's already been texting. I mean, if you didn't do it.
If Aaron Rodgers told the Jets to get Randall Cobb
last year, you don't think they're trying to get Devonte
Adams this.
Speaker 5 (36:29):
Year, you know, to spots point though, about bleeding your
heart to friends and family or people around you rather
than just trying to work it out behind the scenes
with that one person. You're having the issue with both guys,
Ap and Davante, two passionate guys and two emotional guys.
Just a couple of weeks ago, a lot of people
were like, man, maybe Ap should have took a couple
(36:51):
of breaths before the press conference afterwards.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Already called out the business decisions.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Yeah, business decisions where Jones on the defense didn't make
a tackle and so he sat the first half of
the game last weekend, and there was some you know, speculation,
was he talking about DeVante Adams because of course everybody
went right to that. But both guys emotional, so I
can see where maybe they would not get along, But
(37:15):
they need to be talking to each other behind the scenes.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
When you're when you're negotiating with emotions, you're playing checkers,
you're playing baby games.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Explain how about on social media spot the whole thing
was a baby game story.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
To be honest, you're better off, like, you know, keeping
things close to the chest and being a little bit
smart about how you express yourself and when you express yourself,
and where you're express yourself and who you express yourself to.
If you're just letting it out, it's it's eventually going
to work again.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Hold on, let me just two layers. I just wrote that,
wrote this down because I didn't want to forget. I don't
want to forget because everyone's making great points and Mets and
and I'm watching the Mets. Winker scored on a sack
fly by getting attention to the Mets Starling Marte. No,
I'm writing down my points, you knucklehead. I wrote down
that nowaday compared to the seventies, eighties, nineties, even two thousands.
(38:04):
Social media is a layer of this, of course, where
a guy's unhappiness always in negotiations, he unfollows his team,
he unfollows us team. These are this, These are just
other tactics. And when you see the coach and your
star player not talking, oh we haven't talked. You haven't talked.
You haven't talked about what every so every sports talk
(38:26):
TV and radio show is talking about it. But you
two haven't even addressed this Antonio Pierce, DeVante Adams thing.
And the other layer is you're seeing more and more.
When we were younger, good players, great players had this
loyalty to a team. I'm sticking with the team that
drafted me. I'm there, Yeah, I'm good to go, regardless
of the relationship with the coach. Look at the Look
at the what I wrote down there, Short shelf Life
(38:50):
these I was wondering if you could read that because
you haven't got your glasses yet.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
There's also a lot of phallic images you're drawing on
that paper. What's what's going on there? Mind your business?
So what are the initials PA with a heart around it?
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Short shelf Life. Devonte Adams, like Dan Bayer pointed out,
it's not twenty two thirty two, and DeVante Adams may say,
I want to get to that promised land. I want
to win a super Bowl, you know, outside of Aaron
Rodgers in Green Bay and I how long has DeVante
been there? How long was Devontiny?
Speaker 7 (39:26):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (39:26):
Third season?
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Those I'm saying with the Raiders for a couple but
then yeah with Vegas. Yeah, maybe he's saying like, I
may have like three good more years if I don't
see myself winning with Gardner Minshew and Antonio Pierce why
I have my own personal goals. I got to look
out for DeVante first and maybe getting dealt somewhere. That's
how players look at it now, and those they are
(39:48):
superstar players we're talking about, because not everyone gets to
call the shot in the NBA. How many times you
see players and no, I'll be like, yo, I want
to I just want to shot.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
He had eight years in Green Bay and three with
the Raiders. Yeah, third with the Raiders, so eleven years
in the league and well that's it.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
I mean you just realisted he just missed out on
the Green Bay Packer Super Bowl year. Yeah, so by
missing out of that, he doesn't have that one Aaron
Rodgers Super Bowl Rich.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
You mentioned that series wide receiver receiver on what was
it Netflix? Aman Ross Saint Brown who had man that
toe tapping end zone grab last night, was beautiful.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
He's great. He spotty.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
What's the name of that video show where they eat
the hot sauce?
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Oh, hot ones? Yeah, the ones.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
It was Saint Brown facing off with Davante Adams. And
of course if you don't want to answer the question,
you you eat the wing with the hot sauce that
makes you grab the glass of milk and their question
for both of them was to answer for the other guy,
what's his weakest part of his game? And they both
are like whoa and a mon Ross Saint Brown said
(40:54):
that Davante Adam's weakest part of his game was he
showed too much emotions on the field in the sideline.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
You know, I agree. DeVante Adam was like, oh, I
hate to hear that, but all right.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
Yeah, and I could I could see that, you know.
And by the way, he's thirty one years old to
thirty step point in December. So that's the story. We're
seeing some unhappy star players in the league. Some of
it speculation. I think the DeVante Adams one is clear
to say that's true. Your thoughts on that feel free
(41:26):
to chime in. And you know, does the head coach matter?
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Does that? How much does that matter? I think it
does matter.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
But I think we grew up in a time where
you know, you make the adjustment or you're still expected
to play.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
Because he had a loyalty. You know, I'll give you
a lame example, you know, Reggie Jackson and get along
with Billy Martin, but he was still expected to play
his best even if he wasn't going anywhere, even if
there was times that you thought they might choke each
other in the dougout. That's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
And you're like, oh, but he's the manager, so hey,
Reddy Jackson better still play well or whatever. But then
today's well, it's way different if you're a superstar. And
that's just really a matter of except that it's just different.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
Now before we get to show showtime, Mahomes trivia, we'll
talk some more NFL have some fun with that. I
have a question about Travis Kelsey because you jokingly put
him away. It's not yeah, I think so you sure? Yeah,
just got a double. Your eyes are bad, Huh. I
thought there'll be the tie game if they get a hit. Now,
(42:26):
Travis Kelsey, he seems sad, But then again, that's the image,
the imagery we're seeing everywhere on social media. He's not
getting the ball the way he wants. Mahomes defended. Maybe
we'll ask Mahomes when he gets here. This past review.
This past week, he had more yards than the whole
season combined so far, and there was speculation as to
(42:46):
why has Taylor Swift not been at his last couple
of games, and they pulled the clip from when he
had his reality show back in the day. Was it
Chasing Kelsey?
Speaker 3 (42:58):
Chasing Chasing Kelsey?
Speaker 1 (42:59):
Yes, there was a clip where he said, yeah, whoever
I end up with girlfriend wife, I don't expect them
to be at every game. In fact, I don't expect
my family to be at every game. There's eight home games,
eight road games, then you got the playoffs. I don't
expect it. And it got me thinking, do you ever
expect your family to come support you at events or
(43:21):
things you do? Or if you were an athlete, would
you want them there all the time? Because there are
big league players whose moms still go to all their
games as if they're in little league. You a guy
that doesn't like that pressure. Your mom has visited the
studio one time and we've been working together twenty years.
Because you don't want the pressure. No, that's not why.
I mean.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
She doesn't want to She gets nervous from me, and
I just don't like her energy. That's my side of it,
because I know she's like nervous about something. So for them,
it's I don't know that's on them to do. It
is an added element of pressure when there's someone close
to you there, and I get that, but they're there
all the time. Then you're used to that as a performer.
Speaker 1 (44:03):
Let's say let's say life turned out different and instead
of a radio tycoon that you are and broadcasting podcaster
of glory, let's say you played short stuff for the Dodgers.
If I play short stuff for do you want Jordan
your girlfriend at every home game like Steve? Yeah, well no,
I wouldn't expect it, but I wouldn't deny it either, right,
so I would be okay with that. And as far
(44:25):
as family members, I'm sure they were there for along
along the whole journey and going to as many games
support as possible. So you're just used to it at
that point. That's all. But there is speculation as to
why Tailor's not there. This regulation is not for me
because I don't give no no. If you follow social media,
there's a lot of it. Not like she's like.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
A schlub that doesn't do anything. I understand, like you know,
you can carve that time for one game, but like
she also has to live her own life. Yeah, she's
a she's a mega billionaire pop star. She's the most
popular global recording artist and just did a billion dollar
world tour. If she may, maybe she just wants to
sit it out on a Sunday and not travel to
(45:05):
where her boyfriend's playing, or maybe she has like commitments,
or maybe she's working on a new album.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
Who knows, and he probably not saying it off wrong,
we know, unless there's something going on that.
Speaker 7 (45:15):
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
Do you think there was ever a conversation of hey, listen,
I'm not having the best year. You don't got to
come to the next few games. It's just gonna get
idiots talking more possible. I mean, there was already speculation
then I thought that's part of the reason why she
didn't show up, because of the backlashed as she was causing.
Sometimes we'll never decided to take herself out of the equation,
(45:36):
I don't think even I don't think they even discussed
that on Maybe it.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
Was maybe it was to avoid the narrative of your distraction.
So if you remove the distraction, then you know, well.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
It doesn't help it. It doesn't help it. It's best
game exactly.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
It's a all edge story because then it's like, okay,
so she is a distraction.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
And you know, just sort it just sort of goes
to so many other topics, not just your girlfriend or
wife or husband, boy friend. You asked the question, what
your daughter is a cheerleader? Do you have to go
to every game because she's cheering? If your kid like,
do you have to go to every game? Is that
just what a good parent?
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Or any as you can and as long as they
know you're there, You know, I think that's really the
rule because a lot of these high school games, they're
happening when most people are working, so it's kind of tough.
So you do what you can as a parent, but
as a significant other. I don't think it's that big
of a deal. People are just speculating. But I do
think it's interesting to see how, you know, we were
(46:32):
taught and the average person was taught to suck it
up and yeah, you got a thing with your boss,
you don't get along. Yeah, I mean you're free to leave,
but you got to suck it up. In today's world,
if you're a superstar, more and more and we've accepted it,
the power, the power is like, all right, well you
know I'm not happy. You don't want an unhappy guy
on your team, do you. And of course they're like, no,
(46:52):
and we don't very rare. I guess we'll make that work.
In fact, that's when you brought up to Reggie Jackson example.
That was one of the few circums senses where the
player seemed to have some pull yeah, because it's like, well,
who said, are you going to take Reggie Jackson? Who's
the star of your team? Or Billy Martin or something right,
So that was one of the few times where it's like, Wow,
who has more power here? You're seeing it more than
(47:15):
ever now the power is in the hands of the
star player. Did iowa sam just say it's gonna be
a October I believe he did. Is this the start
of the October Fest?
Speaker 1 (47:30):
I was Samuel? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
On the boards, rock on Cavino and Rich October first,
first of the month, pay your bills.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Every time they do the close up of the hitter
in the batter's box, you're seeing a big ass logo
on their helmet. It's noticeable. It does seem a little selloutish, noticeable,
but it like to be mad about it the way
social media is reacting. I'm not mad but you, but
social I see the reaction on social media. People are
so mad about everything you got unhappy DeVante Adam's unappy
people on social media relaxing. I mean it does say
(48:06):
you know you're watching the the Orioles trying to make
a comeback here, and it says Strauss on their helmet
that it is slightly distracting. But hey, we got some
good wildcard baseball and we'll keep you in the loop
on anything. And I want to bring up one little
fun fact that we'll hit up Mahomes trivia on this day.
Danny g I know you're a big you like to
bring the kids to Disney once in a while. Disney
World in order of Mister Toad's Wild Rhymee. Yeah, I
(48:29):
was one of my favorites. I love California Adventure Ario man.
I love when Tiger Bug was flying across during the fireworks.
It's all that Danny says that stuff all the time.
Speaker 5 (48:37):
No, it's when Buzz was flying.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
So sorry, miss Caddy Buzz. Disney. Today was the day
Disney World in Orlando opened up. And guess how much
it costs in nineteen seventy one to get into Disney World.
Speaker 5 (48:53):
I'm gonna say four dollars and fifty cents.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Close three dollars in fifty cents. And if you do
one of those inflation calculators, you know what it should
cost now to get into Disney. Probably fifty five dollars,
twenty seven dollars. It's like one hundred and seventy dollars, right,
two hundred dollars, So yeah, inflation. Oh and you know,
since I am an on this day type of guy,
I know you love to say that the model t
(49:16):
Ford was released today, eight hundred and twenty five dollars
for the premium car. For the premium Model t Ford
out of the factory eight hundred and twenty five dollars
today would be a state. It would be the equivalent
of buying a brand new luxury car now for twenty
seven thousand dollars, picked up my own lady and everything.
(49:39):
He's just so damn expensive. All right, let's get into it.
Speaker 6 (49:42):
Showtime of homes Mike Tyson was a mania.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
I want your heart, I want to eat a children.
Put an ear to this.
Speaker 6 (49:51):
If you're a boxing brainy act.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Starting to rop.
Speaker 11 (49:56):
Mike, no disrespect, Patrick Mahomes. Here, it's showtime, Mahome, it's trivia,
It's a Tyson Tuesday takeover.
Speaker 1 (50:03):

about this. I'm really sorry, Mike. You get the week off, Mike.

Speaker 5 (50:12):
All right, Look who's uh walking into the main studio
FSR security.
Speaker 11 (50:17):
And when I see these wild card games, I'm I'm
really happy I chose football.
Speaker 1 (50:22):

super Bowl?
Speaker 7 (50:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Yep, Hey, guys, good to see if Patrick Mahomes here.
I I'm here.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
And that was a nice tackle the other day against
your wide receiver, right.
Speaker 11 (50:33):
That was unfortunate, my head gotten away, but uh yeah,
it takes me back to when my dad was playing baseball.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
And man, good games today, Rich, I'll tell you what,
Patrick Mahomes, I love you guys. At home against the
Saints this coming Monday's not gonna be two and three,
will be five and oh.
Speaker 11 (50:49):
But even though we'll be undefeated, still got a lot
of work to do. I gotta get Travis de ballmore
just to make him smile. He had eighty nine yards
just this week. But uh, you know, I gotta get
him a tuddy this coming week. But we'll be five
and zero, and you know we're in perfect but we're
winning on experience.
Speaker 1 (51:05):
We'll get there. All right, Well, so let's get into
the triple.

Speaker 5 (51:43):
The rules for Showtime Homes NFL trivia. The first contestant
with two correct answers is the champion. If there's a tie,
we have a tie breaker question. Your name is your buzzer,

answers are read. If there's two wrong answers in a row,
we move on to the next question. Are you ready?
Let's get it home? All right here, Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 11 (52:03):

those are those padded stats that Matthew Stafford had for
like a decade where you're always try You're always trying
to come back.
Speaker 5 (53:08):
Yeah, and I love some of the coverage too. Did
the Packers rush him back too quickly?

Speaker 11 (54:45):
It's Lamar right, yes, sir, Evan Heisman Trophy winners have
gone to be MVP.
Speaker 5 (54:49):

Speaker 4 (55:16):
It's been a while since the Dolphins won a playoff game.
It's also been a little while since the Orioles have
done so as well. Swinging a ground ball face Hitler field,
Bobby wit Junior drives in Mike cal Garcia and how
many times would we say that? In the first half
and the Royals lead. Won nothing in the sixth was
the only run of the game. Royals top The Orioles
(55:39):
won nothing. On the Royals Radio network,
