sport NBA, NHL, football, baseball, you name it. Sometimes a
fighter could win a championship because he just has to
beat like the interim guy that just got the belt.
And what I'm saying is the path sometimes is the
most important. Oh and you got to beat the team

that's in front of you. You know, sometimes you don't
make the schedule. Even in the NFL season, it's like, yeah,
but it was an easy win. You know, a win's
a win. You're supposed to win those games. Got to
capitalize on those moments. I mean that year where the
Eagles went to the Super Bowl. I'm not saying they
didn't deserve it. Jalen Hurts came up a little short,
but that year they beat a Niners team where Rock

Purdy got hurt on the first play and not the
first play the first you know quarter, and sometimes your
team is just blessed with whoa the good team got
eliminated before we even played them. M hm. The Yankees
are used to dealing with Altuve and Springer and all
those you know the Astros, those familiar Astro's names, or
even those ridiculous rivalries with the Red Sox. The simple

fact that your Yankees could get to the World Series
by beating, in my opinion, like the good teams, like
the Royals and the Guardians, good teams, but they owned
the Central, so they had the Central's numbers, so it
is an easier path. Even though Derek Cheter didn't want
to necessarily admit that, Hey geez, what do you think

and he didn't want to say it. A Ron's like,
I'll say it, an I'll say it. They got an
easier path through the World Series, they do, and when
you have there's no real easy path because you still
have to deliver, you still have to capitalize. But we
all understand what it means. Agreed, you could only play
who's in front of you. And that's why I hate
when people say, well, your team's a soft you know

five and one in the NFL or something. Well, you
don't choose your schedule. That's another layer of this. But
when you do have an easy path, that's when you
really hope your team capitalizes. You know, as an NFC fan,
as a Niners fan, I think the AFC is so
much stronger that I always keep talking about how the
forty Niners window of winning is closing, because eventually there'll

be a rebound. But right now, when I said, give
me the best teams in quarterbacks, you'd say, oh, mahomes
Lamar Jackson. You know Burrow may turn it around. Josh
Allen with Buffalo. That whole AFC has to battle it out. Well,
what if the Niners had to do like beat the Lions.
Lions are the team to be right good? But yeah,
you know what I'm saying, Like, there's just a simpler path,

and that's the Yankees right now. Is the truth. If
you're a Mets fan, which I am, do you realize
what you had to do now? You put yourself in
that scenario by being a wild card. But the forty
nine Ers, their path is easy. That's my football team,
my baseball team. The Mets had to go figure out
what they were doing in Atlanta. The Lindor home run
they got them into the playoffs. Then the Dramatics repeat

Alonzo and Milwaukee three games on the road. Then they
had to beat their division rivals, the Phillies. Now they
have a battle with Danny G's Dodgers. To even make
it to the World Series, the Mets had to jump
through multiple circus hoops. I think the same applies in
life too, when you try to compare your path to
someone else's path. Everybody's path is different, and just because

someone had an easier path, it's not their fault. It's
not their problem. It's a matter of them capitalizing on it. Though.
There's some radio broadcasters that worked in ten small market
cities before they made it to New York, La, Chicago, Miami.
Rich was on I'll Brag for you. Rich rich was
on New York City radio number one market as the

nighttime hottie, and I thought, that's funny. The number one
market in New York City Z one hundred at like nineteen.
People work their entire career to get that opportunity. Now
you get hate on Richard, you can say, hey man,
good for him. It's what you do with that opportunity
and do it that moment. The point is everybody in
life has a different path. In their own path does

a matter of what they do. It's a matter of
what they do with it. And the same in sports.
You can only play who's in front of you and
make the best of it. And the same with the Yankees.
And I think it's true they have an easier path,
but they still have to get passed through this so
past the Indians and then beat either the Dodgers or
the Mets to be the champions. Now you could argue

that this is, like you said, in every aspect of life,
and what do they always say? Success is luck combined
with being prepared for the moment, right. I mean brock
Party is a great example. There's quarterbacks like brock Party,
that Tom Brady that thought I may never start really

playing the NFL. An injury a couple. You know, balls
bounce a certain way, you get your chance, you capitalize
on that chance. And now brock Purty's gonna end up
making fifty sixty million dollars a year. If you would
have asked brock Party, mister irrelevant last pick of the
draft a couple of years ago. Hey, Brock, do you
think in like three years you'll make sixty million dollars
a year? Yeah, but there is such a difference of

getting an opportunity to be a young quarterback on a
great team, any young quarterback on a struggling team. Dude,
look at Sam. I saw an article about is Sam
Donald gonna be a guy that because of this season
if he keeps it up and then the Viking's going
to run postseason have some success. Is Sam Darnald gonna

get paid? But my point is you can't hate on
the guys that got that lucky opportunity because you still
have to bring it. A Lah Brady, a lah Purdy.
So there you have it. Like I said, a Rod
wasn't scared to admit that the Yankee have the easier path.
I'm a fan and they do. But I'll take it
every day you have to take. You have to capitalize.

That's the point of this, I mean discussion. I was
happy for you last night, yeah, being that you were
rooting for your Yanks, but I don't feel like Cleveland
was ever really in that game, and tonight you got
Garrett Cole pitching. I just think we're at a point
now where you should be pumping your fist filing. But
to me, it's like the Yankees are gonna be in
the World Series. It's just a matter of who has

it more. My Mets are Danny G's Dodgers, because if
the Guardians are in the World Series, I'd be shocked.
You don't want to celebrate too soon. The Guardians still
have a chance. They're a stacked squad. They got some
superstars there, great bullpens, some great hitters, some maybe future
Hall of famers. But the Yankees should beat them, and
they should be in the World Series. And whether it's

the Mets or the Dodgers, man, it's gonna be a
great one. Let me ask you, being that you follow closely,
and you and I while we are palace, this is
a battle week for us, you know, it's it's it's
a week where you and I are looking at each
they're a little funny.

So yeah, I don't wish any major injury for you
or your squad.

You know, I look at Danny g Anda like any
other time. I always pull for his team out of kindness.
But if you missed like a twenty four hour flu

You never want to say you haven't. You never have
an easy road to the World Series. But if the
Yankees could pick and choose their opponents, I think they
got the two that they would pick and choose because
of the success that they've had against Al Central.

an easy road to the World Series. Look, it's never easy, right,
but this is the clearest path in twenty years. That's
really it. The clearest path. Yeah, the clearest path. Do
you understand even Danny G's Dodgers, who won I believe
ninety eight games, how to battle it out with the
Padres who were hot. Now they got to play the Mets.

Now they're going to New York tied up one one.
It seems like the NL is the AFC essentially, where
there's just a lot of talent, where the Yankees are
like the Niners, just sort of being like, U, let's
we screw it up. There, you gotta capitalize and you
gotta be the best at the moment. Like you could
look back and say, man, the Clitch cost really had
an easy path. There was no one else to really

fight back. Then it's like, well there was Yeah, there
was no Tyson, Yeah there was no Ali, but there
was Lennox Lewis and other guys. They had to get through, right.
But sometimes the clearest path benefits you. You just have
to be able to seize that moment and make it
work for you. But when you look back, there's so
many people that did benefit because the competition was weak
in that moment.

What's up, Dan bayer Rich, do you know that your
Mets actually have a clear path? Did you hear about
the Brewer's stat with the Mets.

I think it's anyone that beats the Brewers in the
postseason ends up going all the way.

Going to the World Series. At least now obviously when
they had the penance. You're gonna if the Brewers, like
in eighty two, they end up or excuse me, in
eighty one, they end up playing the Yankees, and then
the next year they end up going to the World Series.
Yankees are going to go to the World Series. But Phillies,
you know, it started in two thousand and eight, and
then you go through of the path to the World

Series in the National League. The Brewers have always been
a part of that. So when the Mets won, that's
what everybody was saying the first time around, like, oh,
the Mets have their destined path.

I saw a favorable staff for the Mets too, because
you can find the stat for anything is there there
You could make stats work in your favor regardless. I
saw a stat that if you got blown out in
Game one of an AL or NLCS, if you got
shut out and blown out eight nothing, nine, nothing, ten,
like a big blowout, every one of the teams that
got blown out in game one went on to win
the series. Ooh no, So it's just it's a matter

of in life, it could be. It's not necessarily an
easy path, but the clearest path. I like that. I'll
take that, because to be a this level you've got
to be great. So nothing's easy. You just have to
be able to deliver. So it's the clearest path. Some people,
even in life, have a clearer path than others. You
can't hate on it. That's just the good fortune. THEGA alright,

so that could be an AFC team. Give me an
AFC borderline playoff team that could could sneak in Chargers Dolphins.
I don't those Steelers, you don't. I'm trying to think
like a low back end. I think that the Chargers could.

I don't think that teams are going to want to
play the Chargers in the playoffs for that point.

So if they get in, I think that there could
be You can say the Jets with the moves they yeah, bro,
we know, all right, but let's just say the You know,
when you look at the seedings, if you're looking at
the seventh seed, that team may very well have to
face in their three playoff rounds to get to the
super Bowl. They might have to go through Josh Allen,

Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes. The AFC is so stacked,
and I feel like the National League is similar in
that Danny G's Dodgers, who were dominant all year, have
to beat some pretty good teams just to get where
the Yankees are moonwalking to. I love embrace it. Yeah,
you got to embrace it. You gotta embrace it. You

can hate on it or embrace it.

It's what also made it so difficult for quarterbacks outside
of Brady and Manning to break through those years because
you likely had to get through both of them at
least at at some point. So you know, typically cap
to the to the Steelers and their opportunities to do so.
But yeah, it's tough. That's what the Chiefs last year,
I felt like their road Like, even though they had

the Dolphins at home, we had always said that they've
never played a road playoff game. Okay, so go to
Buffalo and Baltimore and win. And they did, and they
played your forty nine, you know, like, so you know
they that was it. That was quite a path for them.

Also made Tom Brady's Bucks run spectacular because he he
beat Breeze, Aaron Rodgers, and Mahomes. Yeah. I mean, if
that's not earning a super Bowl trophy, you hoist that
Lombardi Trophy with pride after that. The first route barely
got by, yes, but you know what, do you remember
that they had a clearer path or easier path when yeah,

when all sudden and done, you're like, oh, they won
and that was it. You don't remember that, all right?
Embrace it, Embrace it, take advantage of it, seize the moment,
all that good stuff. Unlet's go a little Chonkis and
you know what, if your Mets end up winning rich
they had a tougher path, they had the toughest path.
You feel a little more proud about that, you know,
but it's still the same feeling. No one's gonna remember that.

They're just gonna remember they won, except the super fans.

move along from baseball playoffs to NFL football. You're seeing
it everywhere this morning. Who's not talking about Aaron Rodgers

getting what he Well, let's backtrack a little bit and
say the Jets blew that game. The Jets were jetting,
They had every chance to win that game. And they'll
tell us that Aaron Rodgers doesn't have any pull because
I guarantee you that the field goal kicker is gone.
He don't wanting to play. There's no way that guy
is not getting Greg's alines conditions. I know, but don't

tell me that. You know, he's not happy he did
get Mike Williams booted. Well, that's where I was going.
And by the way, I think Greg's airlines sent Aaron
Rodgers an edible arrangement, just just how to smooth it over.
Like I'm sorry, Aaron Rodgers can't hide his his his discontent,
how unhappy he is with the with the way the

team's playing. I'm not saying he should be happy, but
he really wears it on his face, and I can't
feel good for his teammates. It's just the eye test.
That's just what I noticed, right or wrong. I mean,
I'm looking at highlights now and all you see is
him looking aggravated and frustrated. And if that's what it
takes to get things to happen, then hey, it worked because,

like Danny g said, Mike Williams out, you know what
he looks Vante Adams in. You know what it reminds
me of. You know when you clean up your house
and your kids immediately make a mess after, like you
just folded the bike, gets fluffed the pillows, Yeah you did,
and your kids just make a mess. You give that
look that you know, the famous Ben Affleck meme where
he's spoke in a cigarette with his eyes closed. Of course,

with that blue sweater on. He's got man boobies. He's
that feeling where you know, you close your eyes and
you take a deep breath. That's that's the Aaron Rodgers
default Jets face. But when all cameras are on you
and you're Aaron Rodgers, you know that people are going
to pick up on that body language. But guess what,
he's getting what he wanted. Jets are all in with

the Vonte Adams and guess what the Raiders. Dannyg's Raiders
sort of got what they wanted to. The Jets took
on the entire salary. That was the big part of
the the deal here. And if Devonte Adams correct me
if I'm wrong here, Danny G. If Davonte Adams makes
All Pro or if he's on the AFC Championship roster

or makes it or they make the Super Bowl, the
Raiders get a second round pick. If he doesn't, they
get a third place yeah pick.

Yeah, if he's a Pro Bowl starter or backup, or
he's on the active roster for the postseason.

There there you go. So they sort of covered themselves there.
Raiders making moves, Jets making moves. And I think this
is going to work to the Jets benefit. Now I
think things could change, but there's still that stigma or
something about the Jets where no matter what they do,
they're still the Jets. That's really weird. Dan Bayern had
said it like a week ago, and we had discussed,

and I feel like we're sort of on the pulse
of this story. Joe Douglas Jets GM unless Woody Johnson
puts the ky Bosch on any move. Joe Douglas realized,
my days are numbered if nothing happens, So I'm going
all in right right now. All in and all in
means sacrificing a little bit of the future because you

have Aaron Rodgers. Now, you got Aaron Rodgers not as
a seat filler. You didn't get Aaron Rodgers to be like, oh, look,
fans have got a future Hall of Famer, and he's
clearly not happy with what he's got. Aaron Rodgers came
with an expectation that for the first time since Mark
Sanchez and Rex Ryan, the Jets were a playoff team.
They're two and four. Joe Douglas is like, he's in

Vegas and he has an eleven at the blackjack table.
He doesn't know if they're gonna flip a ten or
king or queen. He just said, you know what, I'm
doubling down, pushes in all his chips and that's where
we're at right now. And when you look at the
Jets schedule, they have a lot of winnable games coming up,
and that AFC Danny we've talked about, maybe ten and
seven is enough to get you that wildcard eight and

three is what they'd have to do. Look at their schedule.
I think they can if they get better. Listen to
Aaron Rodgers take on this a little bit, and.

must like they have like pet names for each other.
I love it, and Jets are all in. It's obvious.
It's like I said, it's very much like you're in Vegas.
You got a few chips left and you're like definite

like you Clark Griswold, you throw it on the table
like I bet my watch too. But it's gotta be
the right people. And I ask you, Rich, Danny Sam Buyer,
Fox Sports Radio Nation, are these the two guys to
change the culture and that stigma that the Jets seem
to have? You know, I always use the analogy, but
for me, it's a good one. There's always that local

place that no matter what opens up there, it closes
down in like two months. And people are like, I
don't know what it is about this spot, but whatever
business opens up, it never lasts. I think it's the
parking or something. I don't know. Eventually one place comes
along and it becomes a success for me. That guy's
Lindor for your Mets. I think he changed the entire

vibe of the team, him and a few other characters
on that team. But is Aaron Rodgers and Devanty Adams
really what's gonna change the Jets culture? I don't know.
I'm not rooting against it, but I'd like to see it.
What happened to that froyo place? Oh? You know it
closed down? It uhould be a Robin player, right hey? Yeah?
But that closed down to pizzeria? Yeah, but that closed down?

I know what it is. It must be the spot
spot man. It's just I don't know. And then eventually,
like I said, some sandwich shop opens up and it flourished.
That els yeah fas wow, finally it finally took off.
It finally is bringing in some customers, and they they
rearranged a parking situation. I don't know what it was.
You know, dude, you put a good product out there,

but you need that right product. You need that right guy.
I think Lindor is the guy that prevents the Mets
from metting. Is Rogers with Adams gonna be what prevents
the Jets from jetting? That's really what you got to

fan and Raiders Nation in Vegas and Oakland and the
Bay Area Raiders Nation. Sometimes what feels like the move
where like, man, we lost our guy. Sometimes that move

and it's it's near to me because I'm a Mets fan.

When the Mets gave up Max Scherzer in the middle
of a failed season a year ago, is like, yo,
you just got him. You delt Scherzer, Good riddance. You
know that what felt like the Mets just giving up
and getting rid of Scherzer they got for nothing. Luis
on Hill Acunya, little Acunya was like a highly touted

prospect that was like, yeah, yeah, give them Mets Akunya,
We're getting Schurzer. Ures is done and Acuna's got his
big bro swing, so he's so good. I mean sometimes,
like the Raider fan should also be like sometimes there
could be two winners in a deal. But and it
seems to be the case as of now. But Let's
also point out the fact that what Rogers is doing,
I'm not comparing them. People get their panties in a

bunch when I say this, not comparing them. But doesn't
it seem like he does have more power than he
alluded to last week where he's calling the shots, he
gets Devonte Adams, Mike Williams is out, he calls him
out and now he's out. He has more power than
he alluded to. I mean, he's getting what he wants,
and granted he should, he's the quarterback. But when Lebron

James is getting the players he wants and he's playing GM,
it doesn't always seem to work. I mean, it's so obvious.
I mean three names, Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Devonte Adams.
I mean without adding a little green to a little
yellow and gold to the Jets uniform, he's trying to
recreate the Packers. Not saying he didn't earn it, not
saying Lebron didn't earn it, But it seems like when

dudes like that call the shots and they get what
they want, it doesn't always equal you know, success. Yeah,
so we'll see. Not wishing anything against him, I think
the positive here because let's try to be positive. Is
the Jets are all in. They got what they want,
and it'll be fun to watch where they go from here.

I feel like this is all the Atlanta Falcons fault.
They surprised everybody, including us when they took Michael Pennix
Junior off the boor this would have been a fun
season watching Pennix Junior aired out with Davante Adams. Instead,
we have a couple of backups there in Las Vegas
at quarterback of the old saying two quarterbacks equaled nine

and all that. And it's just been a tough ride.
I loved watching Davante in a Raiders uniform. I'm gonna
miss miss him, but yeah, if Telesco can keep drafting
some real pros, like the couple of offensive linemen that
he struck gold with, then at least I'm a little
more confident going into the next draft.

New York parlay, meaning yesterday we bet Mets, Yankees, Rangers, Islanders,

and then we said let's leverage it by doing Bills
and Jets and two separate ones because they're both New

six leg parlay five for five, So far. The New
