Speaker 2 (01:29):
Well, the third and final episode comes out on Wednesday.
I wait, today's the eleventh, eleven eleven, Make a wish,
Make a wish. It's eleven eleven, make a Lekahei mchaheiny ho.
Actually it comes out tomorrow, I believe, on the twelfth,
the final episode, and we also discuss our expectations of
Jake Paul, Mike Tyson on Over promised. That's on Fox

But when I woke up today, I did put on
my Army greens you see this representing for Veterans Day.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Got me a little army bracelet on right here. Rich.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
But I also thought immediately like yes, because this Friday
is Tyson just got very pumped for this week. Friday
is new Lincoln Park. I keep talking about it, New
Cobra Kai, final season of Cobra Kai and Mike Tyson.
So it's gonna be an exciting week. Thursday Night football
is gonna be exciting.

talking about it up. Wish was to block that field
(02:48):
goal yesterday, So yeah, eleven eleven. We know his wish.
So he's gonna come here. We're gonna do some trivia,
give away some prizes, so beyond standby if you want
to win a Swiggy our CNR on FSR water bottle
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. We want to
play later on. Plus, we got to get into all
our observations of the NFL this weekend.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Man, we have to.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Start with with something where I must say I'm a
man of integrity I'm a man that emits when he's wrong.
I'm not too good to say, guys, that was wrong
Fonsie style, Yo integrity. I feel like I've made some
pretty sweet predictions over the years. You've been on fire lately,
(03:31):
but not a good weekend. Specifically, one game that my
read on was dead ass As.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
They said, dead ass wrong. Oh you're wrong about it.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
I was Sam You, Dan Bayer, Danny g everyone in
the studio argued with all of us. I said, you
guys were all clowns of the ass ass clowns, and
I am the ass clown who believed in Aaron Rodgers
and the Jets.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
What was I thinking? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I mean, I just I got that gut feeling that,
you know, maybe it was just in suggestion. I thought
that Aaron Rodgers and the Jets would turn it around
to give New York fans a little something to feel.
And you my prediction was they'd be good enough just
to tease the fans. I liked that theory because it
felt like it felt possible, just knowing how Jets seasons
(04:22):
usually work and how the fans are pulled in. But
this team had nothing going for it, and you know
what my into the Rogers thing this year at all.
It was a double doozy for me as a forty
nine Ers fan, because not only was I calling for
the the rise of Aaron Rodgers and Yo, this guy's done,
He's gonna bring it. I was also downplaying the Cardinals,
(04:44):
probably because as a Niners fan subconsciously, I'm like, man,
I hope the Cardinals think, but it looked like the
Cardinals our team that's getting better and better. And not
only that, did you hear Kyler Murray had to say
after the game about getting hit because he got hit
right head was in that helmet. I was like, oh
my god, did he get it decapitated? Helmet went flying off?
(05:05):
Did you text you a lot?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:06):
I texted you guys.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
No, It's like it's like a remember a naked Gun
when they show the highlights and the guy goes up
to centerfield to get a ball and his.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Head falls off.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, I mean it looked like that because he was
hit so hard from behind.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
If you missed it.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
But they asked him about it after the game and
he said that sort of was a good thing because
it just woke everybody up. If you missed it, this
is what he had to say about it.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
It juiced everybody up in a sense, and you.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Know, I'm glad nothing bad came out of it.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah, it was a good thing, I think.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
You know.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, man juiced him up.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
When he popped up so fast like that, it reminded
me of like falling down in high school in front
of a whole bunch of kids at the quad and
like you, you would like jump up really fast like
nothing happened.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Dy G.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
I once in high school. I'm not even joking. I
was at school once. I'm guessing like tenth grade. I
was wearing some baggy jeans and probably some Nirvana T shirt,
thinking I was cool than I was. You didn't even
know three songs from Nirvana, but you were rocking that shirt.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Here.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I am a little bit of a muddy day on
the East Coast, you know, I sluddy banks from the Wishcock.
I slipped on my ass into the mud in front
of like the popular girls outside the school. And that
is the worst feeling like a fourteen fifty year old
kid could feel.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I think you gotta do that pop up like you said, like,
I'm good here, nothing wrong, I'm good. No, you know,
you know.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
But the way he described it was, you know, I
compare a lot of things to prize fighting. It's just
a raw sport. We could all relate to it in boxing.
How many guys you poked the bear? You woke them up.
They don't wake up until they get their bell rung.
And he got popped, and it's like, oh, yeah, that's right,
this is the NFL. We better, you know, wake the
(06:50):
hell up and get moving here. Sometimes a big fighter
doesn't wake up till he gets hit hard and then
he realizes it's a fight.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
You might see that this weekend.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Mike Tyson may They asked him, Hey, Mike, so what
makes you think you're gonna win?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
He goes, I'm Mike Dythan.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Well guess what it might be that punch to the
face that reminds him that, yeah, being Mike Tyson isn't enough.
You're gonna have to get in there and mix it up.
Here's what I'm hoping for, and I feel like most
people are. If Jake Paul comes out on Friday all
aggressive and Mike saw that playful like he was with
that little hasball, Look, kid can't be and he's like, hey,
(07:26):
le've good Jake Paul and also if Jake Paul gets him,
and then also Mike Tyson like that, you see the
beast within.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Come out.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Yeah, that's what we're also to hope the story of
Lambert the Sheepish Lion. You guys know the story of
Lambert the Sheepish Lion. Hold on, let me get my
little carpet like him in second grade and you can
tell me the story. Let me sit on it Indian style.
Chris cross Apple saws a lion who's raised by sheep right,
but he doesn't realize that he is a lion and
(07:58):
he's capable of what lion can accomplish and be. He
only realizes that when his sheepish mother is being attacked
by a wolf by a coyote. I like tigrif So
when you push to that limit, you want to see
that lion, that king come out. And we hope that's
what happens with Tyson. And we saw that with the Cardinals.
(08:19):
He got hit Kyler Murray woke the hell up. They
started playing Next Level. It woke them up. It was
a good thing. It reminded them of who they were,
who they are, what they're capable of. Sometimes we all
need that kick in the s in life because you
got too content on just cruising through. Yeah. So with
that said, I want to say, Dan Byer, I apologize.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I was Sam. I was wrong.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Danny g you were right. Jet stink they do to
the high heavens. I thought this was gonna be a
statement in the Great Stink of eighteen fifteen. I thought
I thought DeVonta Adams was gonna be like, yeah, nine catches,
one hundred and ten yards and oh get that of
you know, Darren Rodgers three hundred though three tuddies and Nope,
I was I mean, I was dead wrong.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
That team is where I sort of want to start today.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
If you're a Jets fan, can you you don't want
to put that funnel nail on the coffin or that
you don't want to put the stamp on yet? But
can you say, Aaron Rodgers, the experiment with the Jets
is done?
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Or do you feel like, well, we got maybe.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
One more year and maybe you know it's it's forty
nine million dollars in dead cap space next year, whether
he retires or not. Right, did they go back? Do
they go back to think about both New York teams
to be honest, terrible. But the Giants what they're in
place for the first pick, so.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Nothing can they make a trade to get Zach Wilson back.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
To nothing more New York Giants or Jets than the
Giants came back. We all turned that game on early yesterday,
right because here on the West coast, a lease it
was early. So he turns on, oh oh because they
can have Jets are down. I'm sorry, Giants are down.
They make a sweet comeback only to fun on the
first possession of overtiming. You're like a week anyway, the Jets.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I was wrong. You guys are right, But where does
that lead?
Speaker 2 (10:11):
It's not that you were wrong. You created a storyline
felt that felt fun and believable, Like, yeah, confident, I
could see that happening. I think Rich was more confident
in his storyline than the actual Jets. Like there are
times where you're like, man, this storyline would be so good,
and that's the storyline ended up.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
You know, I'm right, that wasn't the storyline.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Instead of having a veteran QB at the very end
of his run, though, could this be like a blessing
in disguise maybe for the Jets, because they could possibly
potentially get one of the best quarterbacks up at the
top of the draft.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
I mean it's it's possibly. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Sometimes again, I got to give life analogies. You got
to hit rock bottom now under that scenario, start building
all over again. Under that scenario you speak of, Danny
j I'm sure local New York reporters and Jets people
are are thinking of those possibilities. Is there a world
in which the Jets draft a high pick and that
person sits behind one more year of Aaron Rodgers to
(11:08):
learn and Rogers tries to go all out like I
won last year because this is not.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I ain't going down like that. Do you think he's
going out like that?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
No, you know what, I could see that rich. Yeah,
And if you were, I don't know, on vacation or
you just woke up. The Jets they got destroyed by
the Cardinals. It wasn't even close. Thirty one six, thirty
one six, Kyler Murray just doing what Kyler Murray does,
looking good, fast, quick, and Connor hard to tackle. But
(11:40):
again thirty one six, the Jets showing nothing and Aaron Rodgers.
You could tell he's upset. You could tell he didn't
want to say the wrong things too. After the game,
he wanted to sit on before he actually spoke his
heart and spoke his mind. He actually took a breath,
which I thought was a little refreshing and smart, because
I think he would have said some things he regretted yesterday.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Good thing Robert Sala is still there so they can
fire him. Oh wait, yeah, I'm so away. Does it
look like he was the problem after all?
Speaker 7 (12:09):
Huh?
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Maybe?
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Sure? Byre yourself exactly, Thank you, man Iowa Sam, He's
on the ones and tuesdayny G Dan Byer, Elijah's here
on the videos. You could watch what you're hearing. And
you see my sweet new haircut too.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Yeah, and that.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Nice jacket you were a sweet army jacket again on
Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, Fox sports Radio dot Com
at Fox Sports Radio, Yeah exactly, social media at Fox
Sports Sports Radio, at Cavino and Rich. So any other
last words about the Jets, because that brings us usually
to things that made you go.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Hmmm. We do it every Monday here on the Cavino
and Rich Show. Things that make you go, things that
make your goal.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
So this is where we get you involved. Fox Sports
Radio Nation. There's no wrong answers. Okay, it could be
in the world of sports, preferably football, because we just
got off this kick ass weekend of football heading into
Monday night football. Any of your observations in the world
of sports and entertainment, anything that made you say hmm,
anything that made you scratch your nog. And I'll start
(13:11):
off with an easy one, because I thought it was noticeable.
I mean, the game itself was great. We're gonna obviously
talk about that. But for someone that always talks about uniforms,
I loved the Texans uniform last night.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
I thought it was cool. Did you like it or no? Different?
Speaker 2 (13:25):
I like it that I feel like you have, like,
like a stronger opinion on these. I love alternate uniforms,
and I think the Texans they have a cool young quarterback.
I think they have a cool coach, they have cool
uniform matches, more of the young vibe, young quarterback. I
like the look. Hey they fell short, but I thought
they looked cool with those uniforms. Danny g was like,
they look like jolly ranchers.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
I listen, I know, oh, And I said, I wasn't
mad at it.
Speaker 6 (13:50):
They've been They've been accused in the past of having
a boring uniform.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Yes, it was nothing boring about that. Yeah, I would
like some XFL sort of uniform. It's all takes, I said.
Is always a winning attitude. A couple of star players,
and you can make a previously boring team cool, pretty good.
You and dB are the first guys always to bring up. Ah,
they're they're busting out these uniforms. You didn't even mention those,
(14:14):
I said. I was like, whoa, those are sweet. The
Jags had a white helmet. You know, teams are being
able to experiment a little more as long as they
don't go crazy like the NBA, where every day seems
like a different jersey.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Right.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
I think the NFL has a pretty good right now,
and it's noticeable.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
It's hard to argue that that's not a sweet UNI.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
You gotta feel a little cooler once in a while
busting those out. But again, they didn't win them, but
it did look good.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
I thought.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
So anyway, Well, Mike, we're gonna I want to save
some of the bigger storylines like the forty nine Ers,
the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
That's why we open Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
So you know your your phone calls with feedback at
eight seven seven, nine to nine on Fox. So story
number one, Rich was wrong about the jet. I'll give
you a light one because I'm like, how did this happen?
Just when you thought they couldn't get worse bringing a
new interim coach, and you.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Bring the Riz And how did the Falcons lose to
the Saints? The Falcons I thought were ready to just roll.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Dude, not only that night to the post, Saints would
have beat them even worse if Kamara didn't dropped that pass.
I don't know if you saw it, but dude, Carr,
he made some nice passes that were dropped. The score
would have been even worse. So the Saints would have
won by a lot more if that didn't happen. So
I look at that and say, he just played a
good game, don't I don't know how it's it's made
(15:29):
me say that team confused the hell out of me, because, right, Danny,
remember in the beginning of the season, we all said
worst team of the league, the Saints.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
They started out to and O and put like forty
spots up. You and Bayer said that, yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
And then dude, it would have been twenty seven to
seventeen had those passes been they lose seven in a
row and then they win yesterday, but against a team,
like we said, there were people talking about the Falcons
are about to take that next step to the elite
of the NFC, and they kind of just taking your
foot off the pedal Division game. Rizz Saints step up.
The Falcons don't step on it. They don't prepare the
(16:01):
same way, even if it's subconscious, right, they're going through
all the motions on it. We take every game series.
Of course, styles make fights and styles make games. But
you got to imagine that the Falcons just didn't expect
the Saints to bring it the way they did.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
Didn't You didn't you think too in that early window
because so many of the games were close and exciting.
Game management in the fourth quarter was so important yesterday.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
No doubt in all the games, you mean, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
And that's where you know, having an Andy Reid type
brain on the sideline really puts you over the top.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
And by the way, not everybody watches red Zone, but
if you were watching Scott Hansen Red Zone, Danny g
does that. It was like every game was sort of
wrapping up around the same time.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
God, oh my god, oh my god. Yes, it was.
It was crazy play, crazy.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
Ending after although Andy Reid was one of the guys
standing there having a nervous stomach because the Broncos had
the last drive that was of the game and I'm thinking,
I swear to god, I said this out loud.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Better punch that into the end zone.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
You better get that into the end zone, and instead
it felt like they were just lining up the field
goal to be in the center there.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
That's the great things that make you go.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
All the final plays and endings of these games were
pretty exciting. Yesterday, Yeah, South Quarter was exciting. Just back
to the Saints for a second. The big win for
reporters everywhere because the headlines and puns using RIZ or
out of control. Nobody beats the Riz. The Rizzler comes
out in New Orleans like everyone, so hey, you know what,
(17:26):
got to get props to Darren Rizzy his debut, a
win over a team that people thought was about to
really take that next step. People were saying, well, the
you know, the Falcons weak division with and that especially
with Tampa losing a lot of their wide receivers and
you know Carolina being bottom of the barrel and the
Saints same thing. People thought, now is the time where
the Falcons were just going to take off.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Not so fast.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
I mean, geez, Saints, they're not going anywhere. But what
an odd win. In my opinion. You brought up coach
Andy Reid and the Chiefs and the ability for Denver
to try to punch that in. Does this just set
up for what I'm hoping is the ultimate let down.
I'm pulling for this to be like the Brady undefeated
(18:12):
Patriots where everything's so perfect from a homes and Kelsey
and I hope come playoff time, someone spoils their perfect
season because.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
That's a loss Danny. In fact, it was Dan Bayer.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Yeah, call debating teams get breaks like that, but dB
called it.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
He goes.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
I said, Dan, what do you think the Chiefs will
trip up? And He's like, probably a division game And
it was right there.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Yeah. I actually was thinking the same thing. I was like,
Dan Byer's a visionary.
Speaker 5 (18:39):
Yeah, I thought it could be Denver against Danny's Raiders.
Maybe in a couple of weeks we've seen it. Plus
it was such a trap game for them, short week
off the overtime win. They got Buffalo next week. Yeah,
and no disrespect like Denver. It sucked that they lost yesterday,
but that defense is legit, so it was all there,
but except the special teams.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Oh Man and I felt like there were five guys
are could coming for that block?
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Like the did the line freeze?
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Like?
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Oh, it was just so bad.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
Even on my Sunday show, we were identifying that we
weren't giving credit to leoshin all. We were giving it
to Carloftis because there were so many guys in on
the play that you know to make it.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Honestly, if you would have told me it was an
impractical jokers bit and Sal and Joe and all those
guys lined up on the offensive line like it seemed
like honestly, it seemed so outmatched, Like how they get
how could they get that much pressure?
Speaker 1 (19:26):
You thought the game was over? Yeah, everyone thought the
game was over.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Wow, it did feel like there were four Chiefs that
could have been in there. That was amazing, just amazing
to see the street continues for the Chiefs. But again
the numbers eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, We're
just getting going things that made you go, hmm, we
get to your phone calls and feedback. Next, any observations
(19:50):
you made in football, in life, anything that happened this weekend.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Let's go over it next. Listen.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (22:15):
The thing that made me go? Who was Dan Campbell
at the end of regulation there, third and seven with
a time out and he stands there looking at the
referee for twenty seven seconds and they're just standing there,
look at each other. And then I read his lips
and said, he goes, I called the time out, and
then all of a sudden, one second ago, he gets
(22:36):
the time out and luckily they made the field goal.
But why wouldn't you run another play there and then
call timeout?
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, listen, a lot of times it's very easy from
you know, sitting on your ass, scratching your belly on
your couch.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
I get it, they're on the field. It's in the moment.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
But there are times where you're thinking to yourself, like,
what is the coach doing, by the way, doing.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
The clock here?
Speaker 2 (22:56):
According to my girlfriend, that's all that I do. Rich,
I just lay there on the couch. Yeah, all day,
all the time, not only on Sundays, every day. Yeah, yeah,
I'll be doing that later. I'm great at it. But yeah, man,
the Lions, I would say Jared Goff of five picks
is what stood out to me and you. If you
can escape a game like that, yeah with a w
(23:18):
that shows how good the Lions are real that that's
really the greatest point. You had five picks, you had
your worst.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Game and you still one. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
I know Detroit Lions fans and friends of mine that
shut the game off just out of frustration. Listen, you
can't disguise greatness. Like listen, let's be honest. If you
pull like the hottest girl in the world in a
pair of rip sweatpants, she's still hot. The Lions played
like trash and they're they're just still good. They five
ways to stay in ball games? Can I throw one
out there because I think it's being overlooked because they
(23:48):
played the trash bottom of the barrel cowboys.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I hate to give Philly credit because they're noxious and Philly.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
You gotta love how passionate they are are. The Eagles
the most overlooked team in the NFL this year, even
here on our show, We're guilty of it. You said
you're excited about the game this Thursday, but we don't
talk a lot about the Eagles.
Speaker 6 (24:11):
I think it's because they took such a step back
last season that we've been waiting to see if they're legit.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
That's probably not excited about it. Danny Bingo was his name. Honestly,
you're right, because.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
The Bingo they went to the Super Bowl. They were
one Jalen Hurts fumble away from beating Mahomes the next year,
if you remember, they come out hot, then all of
a sudden, they got cold as hell. I remember in
the wildcard game they look like a bottom tier team
against the Bucks, and it's like, man, Nick Siriannis, you're
gonna stick around. And it was almost like the world
(24:44):
had figured out Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia. You know, there's
seven and two and looking strong. Seven and two, you're
on pace for a thirteen plus win season. Here, there's
no shame in Philadelphia's game with Saquon and when their
wide receivers are healthy, Aj Brown DeVante Smith is a
team that, like oh, we forgetting that it was a
(25:04):
year and a half ago that they were the best
team in the NFC, you know, before we get to
far ahead and past the Lions game that we just
talked about. I'm guilty too, Covino, because as a Niner, say,
what do I say? Oh, when the Nines are healthy
and clicking, the only two might worry about is the Lions.
Check that maybe the Eagles too, So I think Eagles
(25:25):
are overlooks. So if you're a Philly fan, I feel
you you're getting overlooked. But again, back to the Lions game,
Jake Bates brought the boom again right at the end
with that field goal. We saw like a lot of
field goal moments like barely make it come through, get blocked.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
It was like a lot of exciting field goal moments.
He came through again.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
But the I like the story of just a few
months ago, he was a brick, was a brick salesman
or something. He was laying brick and now he's, you know,
a hero in Detroit. You can't look past that. That
makes me say hmmm, because there's so many people out
there like, eh, they're.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Just waiting for their time. Did you wait for their day.
But that's awesome. Would you say he brought the boom?
Speaker 2 (26:09):
I thought so, Rich, your boy moody was kicking bricks. Yeah,
Rich went from a bad moody to a good mood.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Yeah. I was in a super bad moody.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
But speaking of the guys that bring the boom, AJ
and Big Justice, yeah they bring the boom.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
I saw someone post on social media that they saw him.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
At the airport, and like, yeah they are, and of
course a character, they're like boo, I'm so intrigued by
why them?
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Well, I don't get it. That's what makes him intriguing,
all right.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
But Jake Bates was doing that dance a few weeks
ago because he's come through.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
But he came through again barely.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
But again the story this week after seeing his heroic
moment was just a few weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
He was laying Yeah, he laying pipe, was laying bricks bricks, Yeah,
maybe lame pipe. T I don't know.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
I want to talk niners in a second, but let's
say what's up to Tam. You're on the show, Covino,
what is your observation?
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Hey, guys, what's I don't know how much you all
are familiar with the Big twelve in the Oklahoma State
Cowboys football, but their downfall needs to be studied in
the lab like their own seven right on the Big twelve.
They were in the championship game last season. They have
a Heisman candidate, but their own seven and last week,
I don't know if y'all know that, Mike Gundhy called
the fans poor, the need they need to pay their bills.
(27:25):
So what's what's going on there in Stillwater? But hey,
I'm still here, the loyal and true and go polks.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
I tell you, I I can tell you.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
For college football, we had some friends that were the
old Miss Georgia game and they said that scene was
insane and they have a graduate hotel there. That was
one of the games we were thinking about going to
and I was like, oh man, that would have been fun.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah. Got to give props to Lance Kiffin, Yeah said Lance.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
What a uh what what a what a weekend of
just football and college football couple up Miami laws. So yeah,
things are getting shaken up in the world of college
football now. Danny g alluded to your forty nine ers.
I do want to get to the conflict on the sidelines.
I want to get to that and ask your opinion
(28:12):
on that. Retche to a forty nine ers guy. But
I had something that made me say this weekend, it's
misleading headlines, and that's always a thing, but there was
two that really stood out to me. One of them
was this Patrick Mahomes story of him speaking to the
refs on the sideline asking asking for a heads up.
Patrick Mahomes was caught on a hot mic asking a
(28:34):
ref if they could let him know when a defender
is close to him. That was sort of the online
twitter gossip. It goes along with the narrative of like
the refs are on mahomes side, and you read stuff
like that and it circulates quickly on social media and
like no way.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
Then you hear the sound bite and you're like, no way.
Speaker 8 (28:55):
The new starter for the Broncos comes from the Dolphins
game of two flank thrown on the play the guys.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Clearly he's talking about Taylor lining up like this is
not about defenders getting too close to him in that
way and asking the rest for a heads up. So
you're like, that's misleading because he did say that. He
said that, and he heard it.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
On the instantly taken out of context.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
But it's completely taken out of context and again a
misleading headline. And then there was a story about Mike
McCarthy and the Cowboys Michael Parsons. The headline reads, Mike
McCarthy can leave and go wherever he wants. Sounds aggressive, Allah, MICHAEH.
Parsons like, damn man, that's cold. He's just he's just
(29:50):
saying it like that he could leave and go whenever
he wants. And of course you read that and you
make this assessment or assumption, and that's not really what
he was alluding to at all. I don't know if
you heard it, but uh, take a listen, this is
what Mike Michael Parson's actually said.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
That's what both of my pay grade about. If Mike
is coaching again next year. But you know, all coaching
side coaching, you know, Mike can leave and go wherever
he wants. But the guys, I, you know, I kind
of feel bad for his guys like Zach Martin and
guys who might be on their last year, on our
way out, you know, because that's what I want to
go hold the trophy for. You know, you want to
win games and do great things with those type of
(30:25):
legends who put in more time and work than Mike
McCarthy ever did. So those are the kind of guys
that I have so much sympathy and hurt for it.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
I mean, it does sound like a dis the more
it goes on, But I don't think he meant it
like he could even go wherever he wants. The way
you read it, you know, it's more like he could
go and do his thing. He still has time in
this league. I feel bad for guys that don't have
a lot of time in this league that we're trying
to win. FO Originally, yeah, in meme form, with just
(30:53):
the quote, it's like, yo, he could go anywhere he wants.
That sounds like almost like yeah, he can leave and
go wherever he wants, almost like beat it. Yeah, And
that's not necessarily what he was saying. There was a
compliment saying like if it doesn't work out here long term, hey,
Mike McCarthy could go coach anywhere. I feel bad our
season is disappointing. I feel bad for the veterans that
this might be exactly so again, nothing.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
New, right, but but this headline, could McCarthy go coach
anywhere in the NFL? He wanted to.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
You can leave here and go wherever the hell you want.
Now say it's bad. How do you interpret that, like
get out of here? Or Danny, you're so good you
could find the gig anywhere.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Right, But he did make it sound like players work
harder than the coaches.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
There he did at the end. Yeah, he did say that.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
But again, when you break it down from the beginning,
it's not what I thought he meant or said. So
we will get into other storylines. Of course, I have
to touch on the Niners coming up normal or trouble
in paradise. When teammates are squabbling, can you sometimes just say, hey, man,
these are gladiators and warriors on the field, or do
(31:59):
you say.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
I'm I've never seen Tom Brady lead like that.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Well, really, I've seen Tom Brady help him lot. I've
never seen him put his hands on some dude nets. See,
I disagree. So we'll get to that degree I've never seen,
have you. We will get to Hydebo Samuel is awesome.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Next. All right, let's go to Dan Buyer for an
update dB. What's going on?
Speaker 4 (32:16):
dB?
Speaker 5 (32:16):
Hey guys, cowboys at Coach Mike McCarthy had other things
to say, including Cooper Rush is going to remain their
starting quarterback for Week eleven against the Houston Texans, Bears
head coach Matt Eberflus sticking with Caleb Williams as the
team's starting quarterback.
Speaker 9 (32:30):
It's important that we take time to make to make
those decisions and make the right decisions that's for the Bears,
best for the Bears going forward for this week and
then going into the future. So I think that's the
most important thing that we do that we have some
steadiness here.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
Giants have a buy in week eleven, and ed coach
Brian Dabole said today they're evaluating the tape when it
comes to quarterback Daniel Jones and whether he will be
their starter when they return to action in Week twelve.
Philadelphia Eagles open up the twenty one day practice window
for left tackle Jordan Mylatta. Bills did the same with
linebacker Matt Mulano. While Buffalo at coach Sean McDermott has
already ruled key on Coleman is out for Week eleven
(33:05):
against the Chiefs. Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wurf's week to week
with a knee injury. Seahawks release linebacker Tyrrell Dodson today,
while Browns left tackle Jederick Wills said that he made
a business decision when he didn't play in Week eight
against the Ravens. Will said that he hyper extended his
right kney the week prior against the Bengals and didn't
feel well enough to play. He was replaced in the
starting lineup in Week nine and played just two snaps
(33:28):
in that loss to the Chargers Miami. He forward Jimmy
Butler are gonna miss his second straight game tomorrow against
the Pistons. Pistons getting forward to Sir Thompson cleared by
the NBA after he's been out eight months after developing
blood clots in March. Malik Monk out for the Kings
tonight as they faced the Spurs. College Hoops Kansas number
one of this week's eightp men's college basketball Top twenty
(33:49):
five poll. Jayhawks stay at one, Alabama stays at two,
Yukon at number three.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Women's poll.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
South Carolina the unanimous number one, and afternoon hockey today
saw the Canadians top the Saber seven to five.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
On this Veterans Day, Guys, back to you, no thank you.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
D B now coming up we do got to talk
about Deebo Samuel and that forty nine Ers win. Is
there trouble in Paradise or is it just a we
escaped onto the Seattle game like we'll we'll break down
the Niners a little bit because that team still has
me scratching my head a little bit. Plus Cove, we
have to talk about the Cowboys and where do you
(34:24):
go from here? Are by the way, are youre closing
the shades at the stadium or what? Dude? What about
Russell Wilson and the Fountain of Youth. That dude made
some plays. He got people, and he got people to
fall for the oldest trick.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
In the book. I know, we got to talk about him.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
So there's lots to get through, lots of observations to
make with your help, things that makes go hm.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
We wrap it up.
Speaker 2 (34:44):

a military wife. All the veterans, we salute you. Fox
Sports Radio Nation, we salute you. Cavino and Rich on
Fox Sports Radio, we saluted military wives last week as
they were responsible for nachos. That's right, Yeah, I remember
(36:20):
that on National Nacho was the military wives. That it
was a Naia, Nacho Libra whatever his name is, a
Nacho Ignacio Anaya.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
There it was, and he was.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
Making a late night snack for a bunch of military
wives in a military town and he cut up tortillas,
fried them and put.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Toppings on them. Hence nachos.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
I mean, I want to give military wives some credit,
but isn't it theo was named after military wivescho We're

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Now talk to me about my forty nine. Ers talk
to me like lovers. Dude, you talk to me about
your forty nine. Here my barely one.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
My Homer thought is this, let's talk about Holker Mayfield,
stiff arm and Bosa.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
What the hell is that? So sick?
Speaker 2 (37:26):
If there's not a person on planet Earth that loves
football that doesn't at least respect the fire and passion
of Baker Mayfield. Yeah, he was of a punk when
he first came in the league, and you know, maybe
maybe he rubbed the few the wrong way, but at
this stage of the game, Baker represents to me, hardworking,
figure it out, the man he wanted to be, and
(37:47):
now he's executing and he just so happens lost his
best receivers and he's just battling now. But the fact
that he could stiff arm Nick Bosa and somehow continue
that play unreal to me. And as they said, that's
why the team loves playing behind him. The dude just
is always fighting, and I feel no disrespect Danny g
(38:08):
Like that's what Gardner Minshew should be or tries to be.
He's like that kind of guy, just not quite Mayfield.
Speaker 6 (38:17):
Earlier in the hour, you know how you said, Kyler
Murray got woken up by being smashed on that sack.
I wish Gardner Minshew could get sacked like that, not injured,
right right, hell up?
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Yeah, like play for your life, like your life's.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Depending on it, right to me as a Ninersand and
we're gonna go over the whole moody and debo thing.
But I watched this team very closely, and I'm sure
we all watch our teams a little closer than just
the way you watch other games. I've always been such
a huge Kyle Shanahan fan, but there's some lack of
discipline or execution or something.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
This team is.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Too good player for player on paper the roster. They're
not as injured as you thought. Yeah, Drake Greenlaw's coming back.
You know you lost Ayuk, But every team's banged up.
This team is too healthy in this moment to sneak
by the Bucks twenty three to twenty in a game
that should have been way more lopsided it was. It
(39:12):
was tough to watch, and they snuck away with the w.
They're five and four. They play Seattle next week, and
I expect the Niners to win that game. But I
look at them and say, what, what's doing well?
Speaker 1 (39:24):
I mean there's special teams are off.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
They had a bad day, bad moody, as you said,
But again.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
He came through at the end. He's good.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
They put me in a bad moody if they did
not win that game. I know he's a young kid
and they signed them to a deal a couple of
years ago, but coming off injury too. So don't you
think it was just like a bad Everyone has a
bad day, Yeah, but I don't think can you can
your field goal kicker? Haven't If he would have missed
that last one, oh, if he was zero for four
from that range, is that a loser job? In the
(39:54):
NFL type of week, it would have been at least
a brawl in your locker room. I just to me, yeah, he,
as you said, kave you no. Perhaps he saved his
job and just made everything okay and chalked it up
to hey, he's coming off an injury week by making
that field goal. But the forty nine ers were playing
with fire there. They lose that game, they're four and five,
like things are still not right in the Bay Area,
(40:15):
and there's a lot of forty nine ers that spoke
about the little scuffle. Tabor Pepper is the long snapper.
Jake Moody's the kicker. Just for people that don't know
the names of a kicker and a long snapper, we
all know Debo. Debo gets in the face and he
sort of pushes back by the face mask. Taber Pepper
the long snapper, and the initial report is Deebo was
(40:39):
pretty much saying, Yo, Special Teams, did I.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
See it wrong? Was it the face mask? I'm taking
your word for it.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
It was pretty much a lock the f in Deebo,
who's a competitors like Yo?
Speaker 1 (40:50):
Lock in? This is a big game. Lock in, you're
missing field goals. Lock in.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
It got a little chip back and forth. We have
sound from Debo, we have sound from Jake Moody.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
But in the meantime, look it up. If you missed
it, it wasn't a good look. I mean, I think if
you saw highlights this off. But you're right if if
you did not see it, now's your chance to say,
go on X, go on Instagram, look up demo because
it'll be the first thing that pops up. Maybe you
didn't miss it. There's something to be said about why
the Niners aren't clicking because if you ask me, Rock
(41:25):
Perty's playing the best football he's ever played.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yet they don't look right. What is it. McCaffrey's back.
It was a hot day in the Bay Area. First
game back, it's ninety degrees. They don't want to push them.
I get it.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
But something wasn't right in San Francisco. So we'll talk
about that and more things that made you go. We'll
play Mahomes trivia for a prize and go over everything
in the world of sports today.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Cavino and Rich hang tight.
