Radio dot com, or stream us live every day on
the iHeartRadio app. It's like searching FSR yo you ready
for this or what? Truthfully, no, not really.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I feel like astreaks and not the nice ones, like
the Mike Tyson looking ones. Oh yeah, dohas that we
were exposed to over the weekend. Oh was that a
whole bit? Yeah, I feel like ours. I got sick
over the weekend. You go away to have a good time,
come back, you're like, I think I came down with
the black lung popp. We'll make sure to breathe on everyone. Then, yeah,

(00:45):
well I get everyone, Get Jay ston Na, get out
with Sam Naw. Guys, Look, I'm in good spirits.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
This all that matter.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
It's always fun to be here for the best two
hours of the day. According to us Fox Sports Radio
with Covino and Rich, hope you had a Jake All
John Jones Steelers, Seahawks sort of weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Let's go yeah, dB I got maybe Josh Ellen's tub
of weekend. Yeah, dB, I'm man enough to admit it.
My number one thing that maybe go hmm this weekend
that we'll get to is not positive and it's about
my forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
So I'm gonna be a realist today.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
So all our observation observation olmes from week eleven of
the NFL. We'll recap a little bit Jake, Paul, Mike Tyson.
I mean, we talked about it enough, we might as
well give a little recap.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Absolutely, Friday's entire show was pretty much on location. We
were in Miami, we went to the game, just a
bros sort of weekend, but we still did Fox Sports
Radio from Miami. Had a great time, and the whole
show was pretty much leading into the Tyson fight, so
we were all about it. I gotta say I enjoyed

(01:49):
my time. I enjoyed the event. Hold On, it's like
sad about the outcome.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Hold On.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Our show's buffering. Now, Yeah, that's another part of it.
You know your observations. Let's go eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox. And of course, like Rich said, we're
going to talk week eleven. Get you ready for Monday
Night Foosbaul, Dan Bayer, Jay Stu, Iowa Samuel who doesn't
have Netflix?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I imagine you've at least seen the highlights? Yeah? Or
Instagram highlights? Do you start highlights? Do you have a
star tech clip phone?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Like?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Where do you?

Speaker 5 (02:21):
What world are you living in? iPhone ten? It's getting
pretty dated though. Oh yeah, you have still the button
on your phone.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
It's no, but.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
It's got this weird light bar across the thing. But yeah, no,
uh no Netflix, I saw what highlights you could quote
unquote highlights.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I saw those.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, so you know that's enough. Your phone still have
a button that just said that. No, millions of people
tuned in. It broke records, think and say what you want,
Jake Paul do my big things. In fact, he made
an announcement today. The update is, according to Jake Paul,
his boxing path forward is building MVP promotions. The companies

(02:58):
can be focused on women in prospers and cultural events
in any sport. Look, the Serrano Taylor fight was insane,
the Mario Barrios fight was great, so if.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
You were able to watch them.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Is leaning into women's sports his way to try to
get people to hate him less like, let me do
something that's that's very like approved by society. I'm going
to lead it to women's sports. I won't be that
much of a douche. Well, he promotes. He promotes Serrano,
who basically fought Taylor in won twice, but has nothing
to show for it because she lost.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
That was arguably the greater fight of the week. Arguably
well because I thought fight was really great too.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
That was a draw.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
The best fight of the weekend was by far Serrano Taylor,
and we're paying attention to Barrios. That was a good fight.
I think the Barrios fight, it was a.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Really good fight.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Man.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
It was a draw, that's how good it was. It
was a close fight.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
So anyway, he says he's focused on becoming a world champion,
but he won't fight a better bye if he's nowhere
in that range and doing massive events along the way.
That's according to Jake Paul today MVP Promotions. You got
top five pound for pound boxers calling him out now
because he's the payday he's the money guy, and he

(04:08):
also do want to show like, hey man, he's not
that good. He beat a fifty year old guy who
hasn't fought in twenty fifty eight. I said fifty eight.
He said fifty fifty eight sounds fifty. Those eight years
make a big difference. Sounded like fifty. I know he's
fifty eight. I oh, he said it eight thousand times
in the past few months leading up to this. Did
wait akay, dude, you're second. We waited nine months to

(04:30):
get this fight. Finally get it. Your thoughts? Did you
feel like deflated afterward? Like Mike Tyson Buchecks, Did you
well feel premiere the next day? I feel like I'm
still processing the whole thing, Like, yeah, I mean, what
did you expect if you listen to everything? I said again,
I'm Cavino, Yeah, of course I was rooting for Tyson.

(04:51):
That guy's my childhood. The three mics, Mike Tyson, Michael jordan'
oh I thought, Mike Pagliulo, No, oh, Mike Brady, Mike.
So you know, I was rooting for Tyson, but I
knew Jake Paul was gonna win. Actually father time wins.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
But there's still a lot of feedback coming in rich
of how it was all fixed just because a guy
like Jake Paul shows mercy to an older Mike Tyson
knowing he could beat him doesn't mean he's fixed. It
means he has compassion. That happens in sports, that happens
in life. You know, you want, you don't need to
embarrass the guy. I don't look at that is fixed either.

(05:29):
But people have a problem with that like that, like
that adds the icing to the fixed cake. Like see,
and he didn't even end. It's like, yeah, that's cold compassion.
Anytime a young fighter is in the ring with some
guy who looks washed or old and he has a legacy,
you see compassion showed sometimes because there's no need to
hurt somebody, Like would you have felt better if Jake
Paul sadly knocked Mike Tyson out?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
And then we all got even more said? So your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
I am very excited to see what spot and Jay
Stu had to say about it, because I know they
weren't that pumped about it to begin with.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
What's up, Spotty? I'm curious.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
I think the question of the fix was not whether
Jake Paul was, you know, a scriptory was going easy
on him. It was the videos we had seen of
Tyson leading up to the fight, of him in the ring,
doing those like quick little shit.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
But that's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I could do that at the gym, and then I
would be the biggest wimp in the ring, Like that's
like putting a punch of being in front of me.
And if you're a generally athletic guy, you could look
like you're working the big plum.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Me in a ring. I would cower in the corner.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Like, yeah, you know, a one time great, a legend.
Everybody has a plan till they're punching the face by
a twenty seven year old beefcake who's been in the
gym consistently for four plus years. And that's exactly what
you saw. You saw Mike Tyson, a feeble could barely stand.
The dude tripped walking into the ring. You know, he

(06:50):
just battled from an ulcer almost that defying sort of
moment just what four months ago.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Where he's wearing the knee brace. He's wearing a knee brace.
He got his ass trieks out, so your thoughts. He
got paid, He made twenty million dollars. There's no losers here.
Mike Tyson was very gracious in defeat, saying, you know,
he already out came the odds. He lasted eight rounds
with the young man and made a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
What are your thoughts, Let's chop it.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
Up before we get into things that made you go hmmm,
NFL everything else this weekend?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
One last thing spotting.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
One more thought based on what Rich said earlier about
what Jack Paul's announced, like he's focusing on women box
By the way, was the night Toronto? He's a promoter,
could this have been like were we a little bit duped?
Like was this a bait and switch? Like let's create
this massive event, but really have this like greatest female undercart,

(07:47):
exciting fight, and That'll draw attention to that and then
I'll be able to launch my brand.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
I think that's I think that's a given.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Meaning if if Jake Paul really is one of the
greatest marketers of our dad, he's a modern day don
king but taking it into the ring, putting on these
circus acts and putting on a show where how many
millions of people tuned in so much so that Netflix
was crashing. Of course he's gonna showcase his own team

(08:15):
of boxers and people he promotes.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
That's a given. So that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Your thoughts, Let's go to the Phones eight seven seventy
ninety nine, l Fox and Jay Stu. You were so
reluctant on Friday. It was so great to hear your
perspective on Friday Show. He said he wasn't gonna watch,
but guess what he gave into the Fomo. What were
your thoughts, man?

Speaker 6 (08:38):
Yeah, I walked away here on Friday thinking I'm gonna
be the one person that doesn't watch us, and I
was gonna remain stubborn to that.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
How did he get Lawyer all the way home?

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Linking Lawyer was gonna Yeah, See, I was like a
nine of Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. It would be would
be great with the uh with with Christina. But I
will say this. You get home and then you're on
Twitter and all all the buzz is about the fight
and all the circus going on in the undercards, and
I'm like, I gave in to Fomo. I couldn't know

(09:08):
experience that you're.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
One of the sixty plus million people that tuned in
and crashed the site.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
I did.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
I did, and I really regretted it afterwards, guys, because
as compassionate as you guys think Paul was, I just
thought that I fell for it.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
I fell for the.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
Hype when Paul was saying He's gonna kick his ass
and all this stuff. I didn't see that as just
like boxing hype. I actually thought the kid was dumb
enough to want to kill an old man, and I
fell for that, And I feel really stupid for doing it.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
So you wish you didn't watch it? And did you
feel bad?

Speaker 6 (09:40):
Absolutely? Wish I didn't watch it. But I will say
all the hubbub around it and the I experienced in
the buffering and all that stuff, you felt like a
shared experience with the rest of the world.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
We all got buffered on Friday night. That is true.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Now, the question is who's the greatest buffer? Michael Bruce
or Netflix? You know, that is the question. The iowa Samuel,
who doesn't have Netflix. He's that guy I would have
watched if I had Netflix. I mean, you have friends
with Netflix, you have.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Made I.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
Was still here finishing up work, and I caught a
little a few of the undercard fights in passing and
then out of the studio, But yeah, I didn't see
the actual fight.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
What was your impression of the highlights?

Speaker 5 (10:22):
It seemed like a lot of holding, a lot of grabbing,
there was really not like a big punch that even
made it just sticks out in my mind.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
He was gassed after the second round he had.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
The first two rounds were exciting, and then like we said,
father time kicked in. We thought Tyson could have had
a chance up until four rounds if you miss Friday show.
But uh, you know, we're gonna go to your calls
and your feedback now. Tyson said, this is one of
those situations when you lose but still win. I was
grateful for the fight, no regret to get in the

(10:55):
ring one le time. I almost died in June. I
had eight blood transfusions, lost half my blood and twenty
five pounds in the hospital, and had to fight to
get healthy. He was happy to have his children see
him stand toe to toe and finish eight rounds with
the talented fighter half his age, a packed Dallas Cowboy Stadium,

(11:15):
and an experience that no man has the right to
ask for. He thanks the fans and again, over sixty
million people watched that fight. Let me ask you, you
said one last time. Was he a little caught up
in the moment or was he actually actually mean it
when he said that he might fight again.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
I should be done. That was it, But I mean
not in this capacity. But you don't know, you don't know,
like what does that mean? Because he didn't seem like
he was done. You know, He's like, I don't know,
I maybe I think However, everything you're saying makes sense.
I grew Jay stew It was a shared experience. Oh,
your Netflix is a working everyone that we were with.

(11:53):
That was one point where my phone was the only
thing that was working, so like, oh, We're gonna have
to gather around Richard's phone.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
And then the he started working. We had another TV
in another room. Everyone had that same shared experience. You
know what was working Sidney Thomas. Sidney Thomas was working
whoa and that I thought the brunette Ring Card Girl.
We monitored this because you know, I care very much
about these ladies.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
The SOT. I was watching the Golden Globes, the hot
brunette hold on well.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I kept buffering and pausing and freezing on the ring
card girls. Sidney Thomas, a lot of people are saying,
was the big winner of the night.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
It was one pitch where it was our El Hawani's
head right in front of her boobs, and I'm like,
how was everyone that screenshotting this would be like, this
is where we're at, right, she.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
May have been the real Star, real winner, and of
course the Mike Tyson asked shot that really, I think
confused the nation. So we're gonna go to your phones
all right and wrap this up once and for all.
Watson Store for Jake, Paul do you care?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Are you over this now?

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Can we back to get back to real fighting, real box?
I found her the girl that I was like, oh,
who's that too? Besides the Bond Sydney girl.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Her name is.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Rafaela Milagress. Oh yes see, of course, oh yes, I
looked at the minute they flashed her Instagram This is
something Jay stew with though, because Jay stew is always
quick to the punch on social media, I was like,
how many followers does she have? And let's see what
this does for her? She had one hundred and twenty
eight thousand followers. She currently has one seventy nine, So

(13:32):
she picked up a good fifty plus thousand followers just
by being hot and then flashing a picture of her
and her Instagram handle for a literally three seconds. Shows
the power of dude's dirty brains and how big this
event was.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
So we're talking about the biggest event of the weekend,
Bigger than UFC three oh nine, bigger than week eleven,
bigger than the Sechai Takai.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
No, it's not, well, that's debatable. Maybe we'll bring that
up in things that make you hop. But now we're
speaking of speaking of good looking women. The girl on
the new season bananis you're all what's her name, Reina
val the Landingham, Rena the Landingham. Her last name has
like seventeen letters. But she is the new girl on

(14:21):
Cobra Kai who's gorgeous.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
Yeah, and and she actually has legitimate skills. It's not
just an actress's thirteen times world champion in taekwondo. Anyway,
let me just give you one last though about the fight,
not about all the fine looking women. Damn focused Vampire's
ears per go Vampire.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I know I been waiting.

Speaker 7 (14:42):
I've been waiting to you know, for the transition over here.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Damnbi's thinking to himself, why do you wear gray sweatpants?
Keep it down in there, buddy.

Speaker 7 (14:49):
No way she's gonna beat Sam LaRusso though I don't
know girl in any karate match, I have no idea yet.
Is in some world champion, but I haven't said that.
Take the second part round spinning, round, kick or whatever.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
This is. Sam LaRusso is less convincing than Mike Tyson.
We staided, can you know?

Speaker 3 (15:11):
And after after some drinks and one of the nights
we were partying in Miami with our friends, we watched
the first couple of Cobra Kai. You more so than
ever you have to check your brain at the door.
The fact that, like the crime that happens, the fact
that karate they make it seem like karate is the
biggest thing in the world.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It is the most fictionally hilarious.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Thing in the world, Like like there was a I
don't want to give it anyway, but there's one point
where someone gets like assaulted, and it's like, all in
the name of karate, you finished this portion, right? No, No,
it's it.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
One more, there's one more chunk, three parts. This is it? No,
there's one more chunk, spotty boy.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
What if you don't want even the little to spoilers,
just close your ears for five seconds.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
But there is one part.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
There's one part where as Dan Bio, I'm starting to
regret that I even said kai. There's one part where
let's just say, Ralph Macchio goes to like a random
place like that, he doesn't know where he's going, and
he gets attacked with a crowbar and I'm like, what
is going on here?

Speaker 1 (16:17):
In the name of.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Anyway back to the fight? My last observation. Then the
phone calls and TB blabber mount. I think he's in
the middle of something. I think the hype and all
the lead up it gave us was worth it, even
though the fight stunk, meaning the millions of people got
together the press conference to push it a great night,
regardless that they even even Tyson's intro and walked to

(16:41):
the ring was like a throwback to our childhood, Like
we turned to all our friends and said, did you
ever think you'd see Mike Tyson walk to the ring again?
And I think even though the fight itself stunk and
there was one round where Mike Tyson you felt like, oh,
maybe he's got a punch and you're like, it's not
going to happen, that alone made it at least. I
think war I love that he walked by himself. I

(17:02):
love that that was the look in his eyes. I
wasn't sure what to make of that. Jase, Dude, do
you see the look like when he was walking down myself,
I was like, is he that focus like he's gonna
murder Jake Paul? Or is he like I'm old and
this is a bad idea.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
I just always got the impression, even during the fight
that Mike was on something some mind altering. I don't
know if I was or what My question is.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I smoke, I smoked.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
I mean that's how I felt watching Errol Spence fight
Terrence Crawford.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
Has a has Paul's car got into the ring yet.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
The pigeon behind him? That was good? Alright, TB, It's
all right.

Speaker 7 (17:37):
I felt I was in the zone on Twitter during
that fight. I felt like it was just here, I want.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
To hear something.

Speaker 7 (17:45):
I think the moments passed, but I will say this,
there got to a point, you said after the second
round where I was just holding on hoping he wouldn't
get knocked out, where it.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Was like, you're you're on the ride.

Speaker 7 (17:56):
You're just like, just ride, please stop with nothing you
know happening. And that's how I felt basically through rounds
three through eight.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yeah, no me.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
The way you just described you're getting a car with
someone and they try to be a showf and they're
driving really fast and you're like, yo, what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (18:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Slow down.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
This one guy in Oklahoma took a curve at like
ninety a couple of weeks ago. Oh oh, it's Jase Du.
That's that's who it was. Who's on the phone right now.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
That's all right, Jase Du scaring you on the road. Yeah,
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
If you want to chime in, these are the observations
speaking of going fast the two minute rounds advantage. Mike,
I get it. That went too quick. It really didn't
give you any time to build a rhythm or really
get into it. The fight went fast, so it was
a great time regardless, just a crappy fight. I'm still processing.

(18:46):
Let's take one phone call now and then then the
rest next okay. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox,
We got Well's over with anthy in Providence.

Speaker 8 (18:54):
Andy, Hey, what's going on, guys.

Speaker 9 (18:57):
I'm actually calling you guys because I was in one.
I called you guys on Friday and I was actually
out there and one my fiance for the fight in
the atmosphere was amazing. But like you guys said, the
fight was a dog. But I'll tell you what I'm
trying to figure Outrano find her left eyebrow because that
gash was it was dude, you.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Were at the arena and I'm sure you said those
big you know, the big screens that Jerry put in.
But I'm shocked they let the fight continue. It looked
like her I likes, I've never seen something like that
in my life. But she got robbed for the second time.
How did she not win that fight? The heart she
showed and she won.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
What was that fight? We were in Vegas? That was
really bloody.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Oh to Tim Zoora, Tim, any anytime you get yeah,
anytime you get rid of the head. I mean used
to see this a few but like the head moved
was just because of the small blood vessels always looks
so much worse. It looks like a blood bath. But guys,
I don't think there was any fix. I don't think
anything was orchestrated. I don't think Mike Tyson was holding back.
I do think Jake Paul was holding back. But that's

(20:00):
just out of compassion. That happens in in sport and
in life. That's just a human moment. I don't think
that's a scripted moment, and I think when you look
at it from that perspective, I don't think Jake Paul
could have handled it any better. Not he one, He
didn't want to embarrass it. He had respect for a
legend that happens.

Speaker 4 (20:18):

I guess that's me. That's true. What's up, guys, CNR?

Speaker 3 (20:55):
After an action packed Week eleven of the NFL, Mike
tython Jake Paul. By the way, that was actually Mike
when he was on our show a couple of years ago.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
I hope you had a great weekend UFC three O nine,
John Jones doing the Trump Dance sort of weekend.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Oh that really messed up, That really ticked off liberals.
Huh oh, yeah, all in the NFL. Let's catch it
on a zara a zara from the Iron Dragons, sakaia
kai sort of weekend. Yeah, now we go to your
phone calls because we're recapping the fight.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
I mean, we were all about it on Friday. We
have to talk about it.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
I imagine everybody talking about it at work today, you know,
still processing figuring out how you felt about Mike Tyson
after all these years. And then of course, like we
always do on Monday, things that make you go hmmm,
into World of sports and week eleven of the NFL.
Jay Stew's on the phone today, seven seven ninety nine,
m Fox Iowa, Sam Dan, Byron Spotty are here at
Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
If you want to play along at home, let's go
back to the phones. Uh, Kevin in Minnesota, you're up next.
What's up, keV?

Speaker 9 (21:58):
First time, longtime fellas man. Watching the Goat was awesome,
but you know so at my knees head ninth birthday,
it was really awesome. We're grinding back home on the highway,
an hour from from home to get back, rush back,
and so we don't miss the fight. My thirteen year
old and I We sit down and we're just like,

(22:18):
all right, we got back. The girls are just walking
on walking up the ramp just to start. We get
to the ninth round and it's just a heater man,
and so tenth rounds about to begin and it starts
the buffer and I can't get.

Speaker 8 (22:32):
It to work.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
And it's just like, oh, Kevin, you bring up two things, right,
the fact that you and your son were bonding. That
was a lot of the sentiment from a lot of people,
like it brought families and generations together.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
So that's a win for everybody. You know, you need
as a parent those bonding moments, especially if your kid's
a teen. It's hard to find things to bond over.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
But they know, Jake Paul, it's not like you're going
to Camp Flognaw with your daughter, yeah, which which is
where my daughter went to see Tyler the Creator over
the weekend. Right, So you find those bonding moments and
then you know that buffering part that he speaks of
speaking to generations. I got my mom, who's seventy seventy something.
Hit me up, Steven, what's going on? Is your is

(23:14):
your Netflix buffering? I'm like, Mom, everybody.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
It is Moro kid baring.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
I think obviously is to go to Twitter and see
if everyone else is complaining, right, if everyone's experiencing that
on earthquakes? Right, and my mom she has to hit
me up, what's going on? I'm like, Mom, Relax, everybody
is going through the same things. Yeah, all right, let's
go to Sebastian. You're on the Cavino and Rich show.

Speaker 7 (23:36):
Yeah, guy, balance uberdo here so I kind of know
what the citty does.

Speaker 8 (23:41):
All day long. And the fight closed down the city.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
I didn't for the entire day of this fight.

Speaker 8 (23:47):
Everybody was sitting and watching.

Speaker 9 (23:48):
I kind of like, when you know, we do that
of boll tups of people get together and watch one.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Let's see what your man. It was a big it
was a big night.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
It really was like again, you can we can look
back now and say like, yeah, you know it's under delivered.
Maybe your your expectations and what you dreamt it could be.
But still it brought us all together. Yeah, you know,
and it broke records. Uh, Bruno in Brooklyn, what's that, Bruno, gentleman.

Speaker 8 (24:12):
Good afternoon. Hey, I had to watch party. It's nothing else.
We had a good crew together, good hardcore party. We
had a lot of fun. You know, with all the
glitches and stuff, we still had a good time. The
wild thing was and I think everybody went into this
oneing ma see Mike looked like old Mike wasn't going
to happen unfortunately. And you know what, I think Paul
held back. I think he could have knocked him out,

(24:33):
But what good would that have done. He would have
looked like a dog if he did it. And he
only want to say about it, It's like Christmas. The
hype leading up to it was bigger than the event itself.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Damn perfect, It's Thanksgiving dinner. He took the words right
out of my mouth. I was, I actually had written
down much like Christmas, the holiday season itself is way
better than Christmas Day.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Christmas Day. Let Bruno have it because I agree it's
so right on. I also was gonna say the same thing.
Next time someone has a killer point, I'm gonna steal it,
just like rich I'm gonna do that too, Hey hold.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
On, Yeah, my god, that's so crazy.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Brune and Richard sayings that the journey was better than
the destination and.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
It was a perfectly are you reading my paper in here.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Come on, sometimes the thought of sleeping with a woman
is better than actually sleeping with.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
No, He's right, that's exactly it. Maybe not even bad pizza,
still pizza.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
He nailed it though, So what's next? We'll see. I
really hope this. I was gonna say this guy, I
was gonna say something mean Jake Paul. I hope Jake
Paul really fights a guy his age, A contender takes
the sports series continues down that path, And what was
your favorite meme?

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Who's next Jimmy Carter? Did you like, Yeah, that's not fair.
He was holding back?

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Then?

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Why are those memes out there that like, oh, he
should go fight the corpse of some you know. So
it's like, that's not fair because if he was holding
back and giving Tyson a break, then it's not like
it was. The Internet's not fair, period. It's really not Well,
let me ask you this then, but no more than
Jake Paul.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
And then we could put a stamp on this and
seal this conversation and move on to football. And maybe
there's a little part of me delaying football because I
have a reality I must face as a forty nine
Ers fan. I'll explain boy. But Jake Paul, you could say,
who cares about this guy? You've said it forever, and
yet he's still the guy. Is Connor McGregor interesting to you?

Speaker 1 (26:25):
No, because he's too small?

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Yea, But Connor McGregor is a pretty famous badass, the
most followed MMA.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
We're talking Davis like if you want to talk like
against circus, sideshow, or like just fights of intrigue, like
a man versus bear, like Jake Paul, Gervonte, Davis Gravonti,
Davis who he's one hundred and thirty five pounds, Jake
Paul walks around at like two hundred and thirty five pounds.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
I'm saying that those are ridiculous things too.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
I'm not saying they can't happen, because if there's enough
money there and enough interest, then it could happen.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
But it's ridiculous to think that that. Connor McGregor, Jake Paulck.
First of all, Connor McGregor, don't think we'll ever do it,
old just don't. You and I are suckers for these things.
So let's go to the more you know, logical folks here.
But he's a lot smaller.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Dan Bayer, Jay Stu, Connor McGregor, Jake Paul, are you watching.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
We don't watch except for Jay Stu.

Speaker 7 (27:19):
Yeah, I'd probably tune.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
In Jake Paul, Connor McGregor.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
I think I do only because I honestly think McGregor
might kill the guy, Jake Paul.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Jake Paul said, Hey, he said to McGregor in the octagon.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
I saw that.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
If that's the case, imagine if Jake Paul is confident
to be like, I'll get the octagon with a smaller
but it's guy I.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Can't remember Connor McGregor fought Mayweather. If I'm not mistaken
around one, well, it was a one forty seven fight.
If I'm not mistaken, Jake Paul, weis almost one hundred
pounds more than that.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
But then you can't mock this guy and say he's
some little corny kid dancing on YouTube. If he beats
con McGregor in an octa, god, no matter how much
bigger he is, he's got to can't bigger than exactly.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
But I'm out.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
I mean, boxing just seems so like structured and traditional
when you start bringing these spectacles into it, which I
think is what a lot of people thought about this
fight is just you know, you're you're kind of taking
away from what boxing actually is.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
It's given boxing new life, dude. I'll tell you when
you hear names like better bl But I.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
Feel like the traditional fans are just are turned off
by it. It's exciting to watch, but it's not boxing.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Here's a traditional event, your grandpappy. They're all dying generated
Steve Cavino. He's the biggest traditional boxing visual for both,
for both.

Speaker 7 (28:38):
To me, it magnifies the game of all right, would
you fight Mike Tyson? Okay, what about for forty million
dollars and a sixty? Then you're like, okay, I'll do it,
you know, like that's like that's what it is, Like
would you fight Connor McGregor? I don't think so. What
about if we gave you thirty million dollars?

Speaker 3 (28:53):
That was the old Remember that was like a total
bar hypothetical math in the day, Like, Yo, would you
Mike Tyson punch you for a million dollars?

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Could you?

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Which that's all this is what was it? Would you
last a minute in the ring with Mike Tyson? Or
take one million dollars?

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I remember the other one?

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Do you have a better chance of lasting one minute
a ring with Mike Tyson or one minute with a
porn star.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Do you remember that hypothetical that, yeah, it's a good one.
What's your answer? What's your answer?

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I'd have a way better time with I think I
could ask more the porn start Mike. I'm I'm not
a I'm an in shape guy, but in a ring
I'd get demolished.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
All right, So you want to start focusing on a
little NFL next, Actually it could it could be a
little of everything, because when we get into things that
made you go hmmm, it's just all your observations throughout
the weekend. So you could still bring up the fight,
but we got to talk football and your week eleven
observations and get you ready for Monday night football.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Well let's do it. Things that made you go hmm,
things that make you go, things that make you goal.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Now, first observation is Dan Byer saw a firsthand as
a Seahawks fan, the forty nine ers have this inability
to finish. And I hate to say this, being the
biggest forty nine Ers fan on this network, maybe one
of the biggest forty nine ers fans anyone knows. I'm nervous.

(30:23):
The window as closed. I feel like this team what
they had us, I sat fire, Yeah, and you're not
gonna get rid of Kyle Shanahan. He's you know, or
are you? That would not be a wise move, I think.
But what is going on? You can't say, well, Kuda
wasn't there. Every team is banged up. I don't know

(30:43):
what it is. If you look at three of the
forty nine ers division losses, Yeah, Geno Smith out there
looking like a superstar against your team. There was a
sense yesterday, dB, when the Niners are up seventeen thirteen.
I turned to everyone in the room when the ninersn't
put them away, I said, this reeks of twenty seventeen
Seattle wins.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
And I felt it.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
I felt it in my bones, the same way I
felt the Rams and the Cardinals both down double digits
in the second half, and I'm like, the forty nine Ers.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Took their foot off the gas. What did you see?
As a Seahawks fan?

Speaker 7 (31:16):
It was during our live show, so I don't get
as much focus on it because we have two other
games going on, and Bills and Chiefs was a big
as well. I thought when Seattle didn't convert on their
third and shorts and then the fourth down run that
that was actually the end all be all. But I
look at it from the Seahawks side of things in

(31:38):
saying like, oh wow, they were able to persevere, and
why people want to get rid of Gino Smith? I
have no idea. But on the forty nine Ers point
of it, it's kind of been my point all season
is none of this is given and so now you
get Christian McCaffrey back, which was the point that everybody
was pointing to, and Okay, you don't have George Kittle,
you don't have Nick Bosa. Those aren't excuses. That's what

(31:59):
is reality.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
I hate to say this as a Niners fan.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
The Niners fan base and everyone involved in that organization
is cocky.

Speaker 7 (32:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
The mindset of like, we'll turn it around, because the
last three or four years they started slow.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
And then come playoff time they were the team to beat.

Speaker 7 (32:17):
We'll turn it around, yep.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
And there's like a cocky sense of like, don't you worry.
We're the forty nine ers and maybe you're not the
forty nine ers. I think Fred Warner even said, you
know this is not us. But I guess this is
if what we're doing this on the field, maybe this
is us.

Speaker 7 (32:32):
Yeah, there's no Armstead, no DeForest Buckner. I know it's
been a couple of years for him, but there are
pieces that you hung your head on. And let's be honest,
it's no Dimico Ryans, there's no Robert Sala. At some
point there's a point of diminishing returns for you're a
defensive coordinator. And it wasn't just last year. Now there's
you know, could even transition to this year.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Well made us say we all watched that together. Watch Rich.
He wore some holes in his socks pacing around by
the frustration.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
I don't want to say anything, but I do feel
like I need to, uh, I need to bring it up.
I waited all show for Rich to say something about
the Seahawks and forty nine Ers in the hallway. The
whole first thing I said to Cavino was like, you
got to say a Seahawks start a weekend. But when
the Mets beat the Brewers on the walkoff, Rich is like,
hey man, what's up.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Hey? You gotta admit that was a great moment, right right?
That was awesome moment.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
You don't run it in at the end was a
great I'll admit Gino Smith winning if I did step Curry.
Oh when Yo, when he did this Sleepy Sleepy time,
I was like, oh, it was a good moment. I
hated it, but I was a good moment.

Any of the fights over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Maybe Bones Jones handing his belt to President Trump doing
old dance, Like there was a lot that went down.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Yeah, so much against Takai ta Kai. Lots of lots
of big events. You know what, Rich you talk so
much about the forty nine Ers, and look, they're a
great team to talk about. That's your team, and you've
been been ignoring teams like the Eagle and the Steelers
who play again on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Is the time to put respect on their name.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
I was, I'm like completely wrong, and I've never had
a more of a miss I've never had as big
of a misread on a team.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Because we were at the Dolphins game, right we were
there and that's the story in itself.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
But you know, we're watching all the scores.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
We're like, the Steelers are beating the Ravens right now,
Like we got to include them on in our conversation
on Friday, Like I said on Friday to stop ignoring all.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
The field goals.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Nonetheless, Yeah, it was. It was more like I said
about a weekend of buddies just getting together, that the
game we chose to go to is the backdrop, because
I don't know who would voluntarily have chosen Raiders Dolphins
week eleven. I was more busy people watching and the
game itself. Still, I'd never been there at hard Rock Stadium.

(35:49):
I had a great time. I was actually sick. That's
when I started getting sick, but I still had a
good time just being there and hanging out with some buds.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Yeah, I was all right. The game stunk. You thought
that game was good. I had a good time with
my friends. I'm not. I don't care about you know
in that moment.

Speaker 5 (36:05):
Tyreek Hill, I don't think Danny G would have thought
that game was good. No, but the Raiders aren't winning
much these days.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
I wanted to look. They look so weak. They really did.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
There's something about Danny G that he has such optimism
about the Raiders, and he's not here today. Jay Stew's
filling in that you were talking about nothing's given in
the NFL. Dan Byer, which is such a great thought
about sports in general, but the NFL more than anything.
Nothing's given these teams that have a good legacy, Like
Antonio Pierce came out like, you know, hyping up this

(36:37):
team the face, you know, the guys in the locker
room smoking cigars, like trage of the culture. That team stinks.
That team stinks to the high heavens. It stinks like
the great stink of eighteen fifty eight. His team, it's
a huge stink. Oh yeah, they're terrible. And Danny g
does such a good job of being like.

Speaker 11 (36:56):
Yeah, man, well think about it really like the best
too and eight team and you know, like roll and eighteen,
and he really doesn't go a lot of heart, a
lot of heart.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
There's a lot of close games.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
He does a great job convincing me that there's anything
other than hot trash.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
It's true.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
I have thought this the entire time on Cavino and
Rich You guys give him from day one here.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
He was too kind to him behind his back.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
That's not fair you no, no, it's too kind as
his team. I've said it on the air before I go.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
Man, this is like, you guys, are this team just
lost by like fourteen and you hear what he's saying.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
It was a lot closer.

Speaker 7 (37:33):
Yeah, yeah, Rich is like, yeah, I gotcha. Cavino's like, definitely,
come on, all of you. I don't to say this
to his face tomorrow will all.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Right, I am, but nobody's heard me. I will back
you up.

Speaker 7 (37:44):
I've always said when Danny g pops on, it's like
those yearbook videos that they put at the end of
the season where everything was great even though you were
two and fifteen.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
That's what it was. When he talks about the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Yeah, it's amazing though, Yeah, I can see that's funny.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
There'd be ten clips from the race game where they
won inexplicably, you know, in season.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Here's what changed it too, when you're there and there's
no excitement from that end at all, the two and
eight Raiders, but nineteen points against Hues. We were at
the game. I enjoyed, no hype. I mean, I think
it goes without saying.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
If you if you're with like six or eighty year
good buds or a weekend trip, you're gonna have fun regardless.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
But the game in.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Itself focus on the positives. The fans showed up.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
They did. There was a lot of Raiders fans.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Yeah, there were a lot of Raider fans on our
flight back this morning, and.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
I'm like, what a sad bunch.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
They're loyal for sure, but your observations the things that
made you go, Jay stew you had to get a
little nervous last night because you know, Chargers, they got
a vibe now. But there was a minute where you're like,
are they gonna let this game slip away?

Speaker 1 (38:45):
I thought they were gonna charger.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
They didn't charger.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
It's a good sign that team.

Speaker 6 (38:48):
They let the Bengals charger.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
The Bengals charged more so, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
So is horrible. I feel so bad for Joe Burrow there,
Like what more could he have done? You got to
make a field goal for that guy and win that game.
That was their game. So you're you're absolutely right, the
Bengals charged. I don't know how much credit can give
to the Chargers. Well Bengal should have that.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Let's let's go over all the next this hour will
be a ton of NFL more Convene On Rich coming
