Speaker 3 (00:22):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
You ready for this or what? Truthfully? Oh? Not really?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I feel like astreaks and not the nice ones, like
the Mike Tyson looking ones. Oh yeah, dooves that we
were exposed to over the weekend. How was that a
whole bit? Yeah, I feel like ours. I got sick
over the weekend. You go away to have a good time,
come back, you're like, ugh, I think I came down
with the black lungpop. We'll make sure to breathe on everyone. Then, yeah,
(00:48):
well I'll get everyone.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Get Jaystu Na, get out with Sam. Now, guys, look,
I'm in good spirits. This all that matter.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
It's always fun to be here for the best two
hours of the day. According to us Fox Sports Radio
with Cavino and Rich, I hope you had a Jake
Paul John Jones Steelers, Seahawks sort of weekend let's go.
Yeah dB, I got maybe Josh Ellen's tub of weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah dB, I'm mad enough to admit it.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
My uh my number one thing that maybe go hmm
this weekend that we'll get to is not positive and
it's about my forty nine ers.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
So I'm going to be a realist today.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
So all our obs observation olmes from week eleven of
the NFL, we'll recap a little bit Jake, Paul, Mike Tyson.
I mean, we talked about it enough, we might as
well give a little recap.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Absolutely, Friday's entire show was pretty much on location.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
We were in Miami.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
We went to the game, just a bros sort of weekend,
but we still did Fox Sports Radio from Miami. Had
a great time, and the whole show was pretty much
leading into the Tyson fight, so we were all about it.
I gotta say I enjoyed my time. I enjoyed the event.
Hold On, it's like get sad about the outcome. Hold on,
(01:56):
our show's buffering. No, Yeah, that's another they're part of it,
you know, your observations. Let's go eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox, And of course, like Rich said, we're
gonna talk week eleven, Get you ready for Monday Night? Foosbaul,
Dan Bayer, Jay Stu, Iowa Samuel who doesn't have Netflix?
Speaker 2 (02:15):
I imagine you've at least seen the highlights?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, or Instagram highlights? Do you start highlights? Do you
have a star tech clip phone? Like?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Where do you?
Speaker 4 (02:23):
What world are you living in? iPhone ten? It's getting
pretty dated though.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Oh yeah, pH you have still the button on your phone.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
It's no, but it's got this weird light bar across
the thing. But yeah, no, uh no Netflix, I saw
what highlights you could quote unquote highlights.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I saw those. Yeah, so you know that's enough. Your
phone still have a button that just said that.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
No, millions of people tuned in. It broke records, Think
and say what you want, Jake Paul do my fake things.
In fact, he made an announcement today. The update is
According to Jake Paul, his boxing path forward is building
MVP promotions. The companies can be focused on women in
prospects and cultural events in any sport. Look, the Serrano
(03:06):
Taylor fight was insane. The Mario Barrios fight was great,
So there were if you were able to watch them.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Is leaning into women's sports.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
His way to try to get people to hate him less, Like,
let me do something that's that's very like approved by society.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I'm gonna lead it to women's sports. I won't be
that much of a douche.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Well, he promotes He promotes Serrano, who basically fought Taylor
in won twice, but has nothing to show for it
because she lost. That was arguably the greater fight of
the week arguably well, because I thought's fight was really
great too.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
It was a draw.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
The best fight of the weekend was by far Serrano Taylor,
and we're paying attention to Barrios.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
That was a good fight.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
I think the Barrios fight, it was a really good fight.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Man.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
It was a draw, that's how good it was. It
was a close fight.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
So anyway, he says he's focused on becoming a world champion,
but he won't fight a better BYEF.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
He's nowhere in that.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Range and doing massive events a lot along the way.
That's according to Jake Paul today MVP Promotions, you got
top five pound for pound boxers calling him out now
because he's the payday he's the money guy, and he
also do want to show like, hey man, he's not
that good he beat a fifty year old guy who
hasn't fought in twenty fifty eight. I said fifty eight.
(04:20):
He said fifty fifty eight. Sounds like fifty. Those eight
years make a big difference. Sounded like fifty. I know
he's fifty eight. Oh he said it eight thousand times
in the past few months leading up to this.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Did he wait?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Akay, dude, you're second.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
We waited nine months to get this fight. Finally get it?
Your thoughts? Did you feel like deflated afterward? Like Mike
Tyson Buchecks, Did you well feel premiere the next day?
I feel like I'm still processing the whole thing, Like, yeah,
I mean, what did you expect if you listen to everything?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I said?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Again, I'm Cavino, Yeah, of course I was rooting for Tyson.
That guy's my childhood. The three mics, Mike Tyson, Michael Jordan, Oh,
I thought, Mike Pagliul No, Oh, Mike Brady, Mike. So
you know, I was rooting for Tyson, but I knew
Jake Paul was gonna win. Actually father time wins. But
(05:12):
there's still a lot of feedback coming in rich of
how it was all fixed just because a guy like
Jake Paul shows mercy to an older Mike Tyson knowing
he could beat him doesn't mean he's fixed. It means
he has compassion. That happens in sports, that happens in life.
You know you won, You don't need to embarrass the guy.
I don't look at that is fixed either. But people
(05:32):
have a problem with that like that, like that adds
the icing to the fixed cake. Like see, and he
didn't even end it, like yeah, that's called compassion. Anytime
a young fighter is in the ring with some guy
who looks washed or old and he has a legacy,
you see compassion showed sometimes because there's no need to
hurt somebody, Like would you have felt better if Jake
Paul sadly knocked Mike Tyson out?
Speaker 2 (05:55):
And then we all got even more said? So your thoughts.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I am very excited to see what spot and Jay
Stu had to say about it, because I know they
weren't that pumped about it to begin with.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
What's up, Spotty? I'm curious.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
I think the question of the fix was not whether
Jake Paul was, you know, a script theory was going
easy on him. It was the videos we had seen
of Tyson leading up to the fight of him in
the ring doing.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Those quick little shit.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
But that's ridiculous. I could do that at the gym,
and then I would be the biggest wimp in the ring.
Like that's like putting a punch of being in front
of me. And if you're a generally athletic guy, you
could look like you're working the big plum.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Me in a ring. I would cower in the corner.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah, you know, a one time great, a legend. Everybody
has a plan till they're punching the face by a
twenty seven year old beefcake who's been in the gym
consistently for four plus years. And that's exactly what you saw.
You saw Mike Tyson, a feeble could barely stand. The
dude tripped walking into the ring. You know, he just
(06:53):
battled from an ulcer almost that defying sort of moment.
Just what for months ago where he's wearing the knee brace. Ya,
he's wearing a knee brace. He got his ass strieks out,
so your thoughts. He got paid, He made twenty million dollars.
There's no losers here. Mike Tyson was very gracious in defeat,
saying you know he already out came the odds. He
(07:16):
lasted eight rounds with the young man and made a
lot of money. What are your thoughts, Let's chop it
up before we get into things that made you go hmmm,
NFL everything else this weekend, One last thing spotting.
Speaker 6 (07:28):
One more thought based on what Rich said earlier about
what Jack Paul's announced, like he's focusing on women box By.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
The way, was the night Toronto's he's a promoter, could
this have been?
Speaker 7 (07:41):
Like?
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Were we a little bit duped? Like was this a
bait and switch?
Speaker 6 (07:43):
Like let's create this massive event, but really have this
like greatest female undercart, exciting fight, and that'll draw attention
to that and then I'll be able to launch my brain.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
I think that's I think that's a given meaning if
if Jake Paul really is one of the greatest marketers
of our day, he's a modern day don king, but
taking it into the ring, putting on these circus acts
and putting on a show where how many millions of
people tuned in so much so that Netflix was crashing.
(08:14):
Of course he's gonna showcase his own team of boxers
and people he promotes.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
That's a given, So that's what happened.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Your thoughts, Let's go to the phones eight seven seventy
ninety nine, l Fox and Jay Stu. You were so
reluctant on Friday. It was so great to hear your perspective.
On Friday Show. He said he wasn't gonna watch, but
guess what he gave into the Fomo. What were your thoughts, man.
Speaker 8 (08:41):
Yeah, I walked away here on Friday thinking I'm gonna
be the one person that doesn't watch us, and I
was gonna remain stubborn to that Lincoln.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Lawyer all the way home. Linking Lawyer was gonna yeah. See,
I was like a.
Speaker 8 (08:53):
Nine of Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. It would be would
be great with the uh with with Christina. But I
will say this. You get home and then you're on
Twitter and all the buzz is about the fight and
all the circus going on in the undercards, and I'm like,
I gave in to Fomo. I couldn't know experience that
you're one.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Of the sixty plus million people that tuned in and
crashed the site.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I did.
Speaker 8 (09:17):
I did, and I really regretted it afterwards, Guys, because
as compassionate as you guys think Paul was. I just
thought that I fell for it. I fell for the
hype when Paul was saying He's gonna kick his ass
and all this stuff. I didn't see that as just
like boxing hype. I actually thought the kid was dumb
enough to want to kill an old man, and I
(09:37):
fell for that, And I feel really stupid for doing it.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
So you wish you didn't watch it? And did you
feel bad?
Speaker 8 (09:43):
Absolutely? Wish I didn't watch it. But I will say
all the hubbub around it and the I experienced in
the buffering and all that stuff, you felt like you
a shared experience with the rest of the world.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
We all got buffered on Friday night. That is true.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Now the question is who's the greatest buffer? Michael Bruce
or Netflix? You know that is the question. After the game,
iowa Samuel, who doesn't have Netflix. He's that guy I
would have watched if I had Netflix. I mean, you
have friends with Netflix, you have made.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
I was still here finishing up work, and I caught
a little a few of the undercard fights in passing
and then out of the studio. But yeah, I didn't
see the actual fight. But what was your impression of
the highlights? It seems like a lot of holding, a
lot of grabbing. There was really not like a big
punch that even made it just sticks out in my mind.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
He was gassed after the second round he had. The
first two rounds were exciting, and then like we said,
father time kicked in. We thought Tyson could have had
a chance up until four rounds if you miss Friday show.
But uh, you know we're gonna go to your calls
and your feedback now. Tyson said, this is one of
those situations when you lose but still win. I was
grateful for the fight, no regret to get in the
(10:57):
ring one that time. I almost died in I had
eight blood transfusions, lost half my blood and twenty five
pounds in the hospital and had to fight to get healthy.
He was happy to have his children see him stand
toe to toe and finish eight rounds with the talented
fighter half his age, packed Dallas Cowboy Stadium, and an
(11:18):
experience that no man has the right to ask for.
He thanks the fans and again, over sixty million people
watched that fight. Let me ask you, you said one
last time. Was he a little caught up in the
moment or was he actually actually mean it when he
said that he might fight again, he should be done.
That was it, But I mean not in this capacity.
But you don't know, you don't know, like what does
(11:40):
that mean? Because he didn't seem like he was done.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
You know, He's like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
I maybe I think However, everything you're saying makes sense.
I grew Jay Stell. It was a shared experience. Oh,
your Netflix is a working everyone that we were with.
That was one point where my phone was the only
thing that was working, so like, oh, we gonna have
to get around Richard's phone. And then the TV started working.
We had another TV in another room. Everyone had that
(12:06):
same shared experience. You know, it was working Sidney Thomas.
Sidney Thomas was working, and that I got the brunette
ring card girl. We monitored this because you know, I
care very much about these ladies. The thought I was
watching the Golden Globes, the hot brunette hold on, well,
I kept buffering and pausing and freezing on the ring
(12:29):
card girls.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Sidney Thomas, a lot of people are saying, was the
big winner of the night.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
It was one pitch where it was our El Hawani's
head right in front of her boobs, and I'm like,
how was everyone that screenshotting?
Speaker 8 (12:39):
This?
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Would be like, this is where we're at, right, she
may have been the real Star, real winner. And of
course the Mike Tyson asked shot that really I think
confused the nation. So we're gonna go to your phones,
all right and wrap this up once and for all.
Watson Store for Jake, Paul, do you care? Are you
over this?
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Now?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
We back to get back to real fighting, real boxing.
I found her the girl that I was like, oh,
who's that too? Besides the Bond Sydney girl.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Her name is.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Rafaela Milagress. Oh yes, see course, oh I yes, I
looked at the minute they flashed her Instagram. This is
something Jay Steward though. Because Jay stew is always quick
to the punch on social media, I was like, how
many followers does she have? And let's see what this
does for her? She had one hundred and twenty eight
thousand followers. She currently has one seventy nine, So she
(13:35):
picked up a good fifty plus thousand followers just by
being hot and then flashing a picture of her and
her Instagram handle for a literally three seconds. Shows the
power of dude's dirty brains and how big this event was.
So we're talking about the biggest event of the weekend,
Bigger than UFC three oh nine, bigger than week eleven,
(13:59):
bigger than the Sechai Ta Kai.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
No, it's not.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Oh well, that's debatable. Maybe we'll bring that up in
things that make you hop. But now we're speaking of
speaking of good looking women. Yeah, the girl on the
new season Bananas. You're all what's her name, Reina val
the Landingham, Rena the Landingham. Her last name has like
seventeen letters. But she is the new girl on Cobra
(14:24):
Kai who's gorgeous.
Speaker 6 (14:26):
Yeah, and and she actually has legitimate skill. It's not
just an actress's thirteen times world champion in taekwondo. Anyway,
let me just give you one last one about the fight,
not about all the fine looking women.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
Damn focused Vampbire's ears pert go vampire. I know waiting.
I've been waiting to you know, for the transition over here.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Damnbire's thinking to himself, why do you wear gray sweatpants?
Keep it down in there, buddy.
Speaker 7 (14:52):
No way she's gonna beat Sam LaRusso though I don't
know I girl with any karate match, I have no
idea yet is in some World championship, but I haven't
seen that.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Take the second part.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Round spinning, round, kick or whatever this is. Sam LaRusso
is less convincing than Mike Tyson.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
We started, can you.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Know after after some drinks and one of the nights
we were partying in Miami with our friends, we watched
the first couple of Cobra Kai. You more so than
ever you have to check your brain at the door.
The fact that, like the crime that happens, the fact
that karate they make it seem like karate is the
biggest thing in the world.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
It is the most fictionally hilarious thing in the world.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Like like there was a I don't want to give
it anyway, but there's one point where someone gets like assaulted,
and it's like, all in the name of karate, you
finished this portion, right? No, No, it's it.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
One more, there's one more chunk? Three? This is it? No,
there's one more chunk, spotty boy.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
What if you don't want even the little to spoilers,
just close your ears for five seconds.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
But there was one part.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
There's one part where as dan By, I'm starting to
regret that I even said Kai. There's one part where
let's just say, Ralph Macchio goes to like a random
place like that, he doesn't know where he's going, and
he gets attacked with a crowbar and I'm like, what
is going on here?
Speaker 2 (16:19):
In the name of.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Anyway back to the fight? My last observation. Then the
phone calls and TB blabber mount. I think he's in
the middle of something. I think the hype and all
the lead up it gave us was worth it, even
though the fight stunk, meaning the millions of people got
together the press conference to push it a great night,
regardless that they even even Tyson's intro and walked to
(16:44):
the ring was like a throwback to our childhood, Like
we turned to all our friends and said, did you
ever think you'd see Mike Tyson walk to the ring again?
And I think even though the fight itself stunk and
there was one round where Mike Tyson you felt like, oh,
maybe he's got a punch and you're like, it's not
going to happen, that alone made it, at least I
think worth it.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
I love that he walked by himself. I love that
that was the look in his eyes.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
I wasn't sure what to make of that Jase, Dude,
do you see the look like when he was walking
down myself, I was like, is he that focus like
he's gonna murder Jake Paul? Or is he like I'm
old and this is a bad idea.
Speaker 8 (17:15):
I just always got the impression, even during the fight
that Mike was on something some mind altering.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
I don't know if it was or what. My question
is I smoked smoked.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
I mean that's how I felt watching Errol Spence fight
Terrence Crawf.
Speaker 8 (17:32):
Has a has Paul's car got into the ring yet.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
The pigeon behind him? That was good? Alright, TB, It's
all right.
Speaker 7 (17:40):
I felt I was in the zone on Twitter during
that fight. I felt like it.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Was just here's some I want to hear something.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
I think the moments passed, but I will say this,
there got to a point, he said after the second round,
where I was just holding on hoping he wouldn't get
knocked out, where it was like, you're you're on the ride.
You're just like, ride, please stop with nothing you know happening.
And that's how I felt basically through rounds three through eight.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, no me, the way you just described you're getting
a car with someone and they try to be a
showf and they're driving.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Really fast and you're like, yo, what are you doing?
Speaker 9 (18:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Slow down.
Speaker 7 (18:15):
This one guy in Oklahoma took a curve at like
ninety a couple of weeks ago. Oh oh, it's Jase Due.
That's that's who it was. Who's on the phone right now, Jase?
Speaker 1 (18:23):
That's all right, Jase du scaring you on the roads? Yeah,
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. If you want
to chime in, these are the observations speaking of going
fast the two minute rounds advantage. Mike, I get it.
That went too quick. It really didn't give you any
time to build a rhythm or really get into it.
The fight went fast, so it was a great time regardless,
(18:45):
just a crappy fight. I'm still processing. Let's take one
phone call now and then then the rest next.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, we got Well's
over with anthy in Providence.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
What's the Andy?
Speaker 9 (18:58):
Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Guys? I'm actually calling you guys because I was the
one that called you guys on Friday, and I was
actually out there and I don't see my fiance for
the fight and the atmosphere was amazing.
Speaker 9 (19:09):
But like you guys said, the fight was a dog.
But I'll tell you what, I'm still trying to figure
out Torano find her left eyebrow because that gash was
it was dude.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
You were at the arena and I'm sure you said
those big you know, the big screens that Jerry put in.
But I'm shocked they let the fight continue. It looked
like her I like, I've never seen something like that
in my life. But she got robbed for the second time.
How did she not win that fight? The heart she showed.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
And she won. What was that fight? We were in Vegas?
That was really bloody?
Speaker 6 (19:41):
Tim any anytime you getah, anytime you get rid of
the head, I mean used to see this a few
but like the head moved was just because of the
small blood vessels always looks so much worse.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
It looks like a blood bath.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
But guys, I don't think there was any fix. I
don't think anything was orchestrated. I don't think Mike Tyson
was hold and back. I do think Jake Paul was
holding back. But that's just out of compassion. That happens
in in sport and in life. That's just a human moment.
I don't think that's a scripted moment, and I think
when you look at it from that perspective, I don't
(20:14):
think Jake Paul could have handled it any better. Not
he won, He didn't want to embarrass it. He had
respect for a legend that happens.
Speaker 10 (20:20):

the meantime and future people checking out our podcast.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
We appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Everything at Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio. If
you want to play along at home now we do
this every Monday. We go over everything that went down
this weekend. It was more to life than just Mike Tyson.
There was UFC three h nine, some great fights there.
I was watching them. I don't want to tell you
what Rich was doing in Miami, but I went home
to watch the fights like a good boy. Anyway, I
(22:12):
give you a good boy and support other industries, which
is a big un help pay people's college. Well, yes, yes, yes,
so let's go to the phones and go over EU option.
By the way, where I was, they were playing UFC.
I know you know what that is a game changer. Yeah,
(22:33):
so I didn't know that. But there were some great
fights this weekend, some great football, and any observations you made.
We do it every Monday is called things that made
you go, hmmm, let's go to the calls. Let's go
to your phones. I'll say hello, let's go to Super
REUSSI day in Detroit, Super a Cede, what's up about?
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Hey buddy, what's up?
Speaker 9 (22:52):
Covino and Rich was happening that made me say, hum
or one of them would be? And after that, I
got a go PDD joke for you. So you don't
want to hear it?
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Oh, p Diddy, Joe can't wait. I was saying, get
your finger ready on the dump button, let's go.
Speaker 9 (23:06):
Yeah, P didn't Joe but anyway, things that made me
go home is why are people saying that the Mike
Tyson fight was fixed? It was not. Tyson just needs
to get his stuff back together better and come back
and make a comeback. If it was fixed, then they
would have fixed it so that he would win, duh.
So it was not fixed. There's no way that they
would want Jake Paul to actually fix it so he
(23:28):
could win. So that's people just need to stop it.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
It was not him.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
I agree it wasn't fixed. You know, I think people
love to always go to it was fixed.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
But I think the only.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Thing the lamest I think take when it comes to boxing.
I'm not saying that boxing's not corrupt, but there was
no fix there. In fact, Ariel Hawani put out today
a message for the casual boxing fans, the casual boxing
fans that were there for Tyson Paul, you don't give
an ass about boxing. You weren't conned by anything what
(23:57):
you saw. If there was anything suspicious, it was a
human element of Jake Paul just not knocking out Mike
Tyson when he could have.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
But that happens all of the time.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
I'll give you the analogy'd be if we're gonna get
into NFL now. It's like when a team's winning thirty
five six, I mean, unless you're the Lions, you take
your foot off the gas.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Like sometimes you're just like, let you know, how about
that moment.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Maybe you're playing one on one with your dad and
he always beats you, and you know, this time, hey man,
I think I got him. I could just totally make
him feel a crap right now, or I could just
let him hit that one more shot and let him
feel good about it. They were actually boxing. It was
like you like, I felt like I was watching one
of the lackluster matches we've watched in the past where
(24:39):
they just kind of dance around the ring, they hug occasionally,
nothing exciting happens.
Speaker 6 (24:42):
It goes the distance, and you're like, okay, it's a
boxing match. Wasn't what I wanted, but it was still boxing. Yeah, yeah,
So thank you, super Recede. And as far as Tyson,
and we can't let him get away with that, no
come back.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
He's fifty eight done yet get out of here. I
don't know, all right, you know who said they were done?
Go make your by the way his edible ears that
he does those you know those knock me on my ass,
stick with that, stick with your read business, stick with
all the other ventures you have Iron Mike Tyson, you know,
for all the questionable stuff he's done through his career,
(25:14):
is sort of a well received guy. In twenty twenty three,
Let's be clear on this. People tuned in for him.
So he still made history over the weekend, So that
shows his impact. As far as calling it done, Steve
Amocic also called it done. He made it official. He's like, no,
after that kicked to the ribs from John Jones, He's like, no, Yeah,
I'm done.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
I'm done.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
At forty two years old, he called it. How do
you think that feels? Oh my god, Well did you
see that finishing? If not looking up the most powerful
kick in all of martial arts.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
I saw it a spinning back kicks, spinning back. I
was like, and I think I was breathing.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
It as hawks this weekend in the Sakai ta Kai
like it went like it was a precision, like under
the rib into the lung.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Kind of kick.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
That was insane. Dallas.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I'm not saying I was Sam is a weakling, but
I was Sam. You could poke it, do you think
of both Jones. If you think if John Jones kicked
you the way he kicked, Uh, what's the name step?
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Step? Do you think you'd be alive? I would perish
on the spot. You might have been You might have died.
I'm not even you might have died. No, he perished,
wouldn't die? Yeah, more dignity in parish, right right? Uh?
Speaker 1 (26:25):
So he called the quits, as should Mike Tyson, even
though Mike Tyson was like, I don't know a fee.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
All right, So let's go back to the phones.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
A seven seven ninety nine on Fox of your Observations
Week eleven of the NFL things that made you go
any of your obs? We'll take JT in New York
and then a couple of football thoughts. I had, what's up?
Speaker 2 (26:42):
JT?
Speaker 9 (26:44):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (26:44):
No, I was just talking about like the Jake Paul fight.
Speaker 11 (26:47):
What was you call somebody rolevant like John Jones after
what he did this weekend?
Speaker 2 (26:52):
I mean he called out, he listened, He listened. John
Jones would destroy.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
But you what you want, JT is there's sort of
a fun in watching this Jake Paul thing continue, because
the minute he does get whooped badly by John Jones,
then the fund's over. That's why I like the Connor
McGregor smaller than him, but I still think Connor MacGregor
would kick his ass. That's why to me that seems appealing.
There's something appealing about Jake Paul, Connor McGregor, and if
(27:20):
enough people are tuning in and there's money to be made,
there's a market there. So, like I said to Dan
Byer and to Jay Stu before, there's room for both.
There's room for legitimate boxing, yeah, which Jake Paul's trying
to make his way in, and there's room for these
fun fights. Look, I'm a fight fan. I loved it.
I loved everything that went down this weekend. I got
something that made me say, hm, that's not even NFL
(27:41):
or fight related rich Over the weekend, I saw that
James Harden became the number two all time three point
leaders three point shot leaders, number two, who do you
surpassed out? And I was gonna say, but here's what
killed me too. There's a whole other conversation, maybe for
another day. Dame Lillard has like two thousand and six
(28:02):
thirty nine, at least a day ago. Ray Allen two
thousand and nine to seventy three. So he was so
close to three thousand milestone three point shots two thousand
and nine to seventy three, James Harden two thousand and
nine to seventy five, behind Curry.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
But far behind Curry.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Just for reference, Steph Curry over almost thirty eight hundred
three point shots. But to put Harden in that category
of number two, you're like dang man. You forget how
long he's been in the league and how great he's been.
Sometimes the number two is better than the number one.
I mean, for sure, I think that, especially after Taco Night.
(28:46):
I think that's the what's the thought on where it's
Steph Curry ends up like what's his Pujack is there
with four thousand, you think he'll get all Yeah, I
mean he's approaching thirty eight hundred.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Yeah, you got to think of how many he has
more in his tank?
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Right, But so cool to see, like dang because I
think he gets a lot of criticism because of how
great he was, and then we forget how long he's
been in the league.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
James Harden is number two in that category.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Now, other things that made you go hmm, NFL, I
was so wrong on the.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Stele the Cavalier is speaking of the NBA for we
move on? Does that make us undefeated? Like still undefeated?
Speaker 1 (29:26):
I mean, I'm you know, I'm not a NBA fan
to the level some other people on the network that
that's I don't.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
I don't. I'm not still good.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
I'm honed in on NFL and baseball and other sports
fighting more than the NBA.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
But I know they got some star players. I'm aware
of the roster.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
But the Calves have only been relevant a few times
in our lifetime. If you're roughly forty ish, the Calves
have been relevant, and it's usually because of Lebron over
the last twenty five years. So the fact that they're
relevant and built a team around other stars stars stars, YEA.
Good for them all right. Now, let's go to yesterday NFL.
I mean, I know it's the Jags. I'm sure we
(30:07):
all watched the Dave Campbell postgame. Are the Lions a
team that keeps going in the right direction? Are they
by far your best team in the NFS? Yes, hands down.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Yes. They just look strong and when they win, they
win big.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
I mean, you expected a lopsided game, but it was
fifty two to six. It was even more lopsided than
you expected it to be. But when they win, like
we said, if they're nine to one, they've won nine games,
it seems like they win big as opposted the Chiefs,
who you knew they were bound on the lose, right
because they were barely winning, barely figuring out a way
(30:45):
to win every game. Here's that's the difference between a
team like the Chiefs and the Lions. I don't want
to put anyone on the spot, but I think it's
not a tough question. Dan Byer, Jay Stu Cavino with
the black lung spotty boy. Who is more embarrassing right now?
And I want you to keep in mind expectations, not
(31:08):
just the not just what we've seen. What the expectations
were such a big part of this. Is it more
embarrassing if you're the Jets or the Giants right now?
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Oh, that's a great question.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Because the Jets are three and eight with the expectation
of greatness. In fact, they were people that said not
only playoffs, super Bowl, super Bowl contenders, Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Looks awful out there, and then.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
You got to look across down there was not a
high expectation for the giants.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
That's why jets the answer.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
But something to be said about wheeling not wheeling out
up throwing them out there with his uh pizza apron on.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Tommy DeVito's back. That day's a side show.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
The gold Freshmoo Todel, like, are you serious and putting
Tommy DeVito?
Speaker 2 (31:57):
It's cutlets bro cutlets, which you know what this week?
You know what?
Speaker 1 (32:02):
I was gone, don't feel bad. I called them Tommy
pork chops in the break. I was like, they got
Tommy pork chops coming back out. I mean, you know
what I gotta do this Thursday. I was doing old
school East Coast chicken cutlets every Thursday with my kids.
In honor of the return of Tommy DeVito. We're gonna
make it a chicken cutlet Thursday this week. I think
that's equally embarrassing the fact that they're like, hey, season's over,
(32:23):
let's get some guidos in Jersey excited about this team
put cutlets back out there.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
It's honestly, he's.
Speaker 6 (32:30):
A fizzled hype. It was exciting and like it was
great for like he.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Stands loved them as something exciting for the dude, guys.
I was signing pizza boxes in New Jersey. It appearances
in the lot of hype. Yeah, he for sure did
so going back.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Is his agent going to be back? That's what we
were wondering the guy. I don't know if he was back,
but he was a mysterious currier.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Was like mob guy was off off falling out today
I think so.
Speaker 8 (33:04):
You know what I found funny about this Tommy Davido
thing last time doesn't seem in this day and age
of political correctness. We just got done with an election cycle, right,
like every everyone is overly sensitive about all races and cultures.
Tommy DeVito, uh makes it big with the giants and everybody's.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
All over the Italian culture. It's okay to call every
Italian sopranos, even with accents. Right.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
You can't do anyone else's accent, especially on the radio,
or you know, for PC reasons or you don't want
to offend anybody.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
But when it comes, you know, it does a bit
on this.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
Wait a second, what about the Germans World War time?
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Everyone leans into that.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
And by the way, USA Today just wrote an article
today Tommy Davito replacing Daniel Jones is great.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
If you love being de Vito's agent again.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
We're gonna see this this batch of galop on the sideline.
Jason was so right the eighties and nineties when you
were a little kid listening to the radio, everyone did
Indian and Asian impressions, all politically incorrect stuff.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
But yet you're right. It's like totally okay, Hey got
a gold Tommy DeVito walking.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Hey, you know what it's It's gonna be embarrassing. You know,
for the record, those are our people. We're from the
East Coast. I'm Italian, my dad's Italian, Kobe Italian. So hey,
for the record, for those of you keeping score at home,
that's just how it is. Brother talks that way. That's
Spot's brother in real life. Rizz Is all of my
friends talked that way. I came up from that rank.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Actually, you accidentally just said it, riz I know. Can
I tell you?
Speaker 5 (34:50):
I know?
Speaker 1 (34:51):
But our brains must have been fused for a second,
because I was gonna say, you know who's gonna probably
come out and cheer on Tommy DeVito. Ah, the boom guys,
the father guy Costco, Guy Costco. You're gonna be a
giant stadium like bringing the boom Tommy DeVito. He brings
the boom all the Sean Stillado fans.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
That's the agent. By the way, Seawan Stillato love that guy.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Who was if you remember the backstory last year because
everybody was like, who is this Drabroni on the sidelines.
He was a former college football like star to some degree.
So anyway, Tommy DeVito's back. But Rich does pose an
interting question. But I think it is an easy answer. Rich,
what's more embarrassing based on expectation? You can't cancel that
expectations based on expectations alone, even though Daniel Jones did
(35:35):
have expectations and signed a fat contract. The fact that
you have Aaron Rodgers there and his winning percentage is
lower than Zach Wilson's and who is who else?
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Sam Donald as a Jet.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
And lower than Sam Donald's as a Jet should tell
you everything.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Like this guy Stay, he stinks the whole team.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Still, they're gonna be doing Tommy DeVito is gonna do
an autograph signing in Jersey or like Stattnile, the next
stat is going to be Tommy DeVito has greater stats
than Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
He's the best quarterback in New York. Is what you're
gonna see next.
Speaker 8 (36:06):
Week and some weird poser announcers gonna be like, yeah,
Tommy DeVito gave Aaron Rodgers an offer he couldn't refuse.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Yeah, of course, Tommy DeVito's gonna be in Staten Island
at Apasta Place signing autographs, you know, with who probably
the guy that tried to grab the ball at a
Mookie Bets Miant now by Koch, with Kujenie and those
those other twin batch of groups that you're friends with
that you like, the Costellanos, those viral guys from the Circle.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
They were on the Circle on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Yeah, yeah, whatever, they're not the Yankee Dance Yeah yeah,
those those guys. So anyway, Tommy the Vito's back. That
makes us say hmm for those that are speculating. dB
also did want to make it clear too, Daniel Jones
takes third string just to prevent them from injury, not
because they think he sucks that bad. Yeah, yeah, more
embarrassing though in your mind, Jets are giants.
Speaker 7 (36:56):
All the Jets without it, Yeah, without it hesitate, no
doubt because of everything, and it's the combination of two years.
I give Joe Shane credit for being like all right,
we made a bad move. Let's try to make this
thing work. And it didn't work out, and it's likely
going to cost him his job. And the Jets just
seemed to put everything in the basket of Aaron Rodgers,
(37:18):
let him do everything. It wasn't like Daniel Jones was
making personnel decisions. So Jets by a mile.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Tommy DeVito's back. That's something that made you go.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
Now, you gotta put that in perspective, though, right, Daniel
Jones can't do Diddley squat with this team. If Tommy
DeVito does go out there and give the fans something
to cheer about, plays exciting like he did last year,
actually maybe wins a few games with the Giants, you
gotta give him credit because they're throwing them out there
to the wolves of course then right, I mean like
(37:50):
you're throwing his dude out there with no chance at all,
and he might do well because he's one of those
spark plug dudes. Got to give him a little credit
because he's in a no win situation. Really, guys, just
a heads up for tonight.
Speaker 7 (38:01):
A story that's developing over the last thirty minutes or so.
A piece of metal fell from the roof of at
and T Stadium as they were trying to open it
tonight between the Texans and Cowboys and so, yeah, just
to keep your eye on this. They were trying to
open the roof, which they can do, and a piece
(38:22):
of metal fell. No one was injured, but they halted
the opening of the roof. But Jerry Jones talking about
the shades and the whole deal, Yeah, do.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Wasn't even a bed Beth and Beyond earlier for Cretz.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
Yeah, So it was as they were trying to operate
the roof to open, a piece of metal ended up falling.
And there was another piece of metal that is not
on some scaffolding, but it's on a you know, a
walkway that you have up at at and T Stadium.
So something to just take note of.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
No doubt.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Now, yesterday a couple of quickie things that maybe go
home Cavino. I'm not saying a losing's not good, but
there's a parting me that feels like Chiefs and chief
fans shouldn't be so bummed about losing that type of
game to Buffalo. Losing is not always a bad thing,
especially when you're nine to zero and you have some
leeway to, you know, to lose a game here and there,
(39:11):
there's that sense of being like, all right, humbles us
a little refocus, where'd we go wrong? You know what
happens to As a result of just week eleven, it
seemed like Lamar Jackson was one of the premier names
for MVP. But they lose Bill's win, and now I
feel like this week it's like MANSHV. So I feel
(39:32):
like that narrative changes a little bit too. And then
it makes you say, I'm like, yeah, you know what
if they keep playing like that? They're nine and two.
He just beat Mahomes, Yeah, I think. And what Lamar
Jackson couldn't score against the Steelers?
Speaker 2 (39:46):
Is there?
Speaker 10 (39:46):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (39:46):
By the way, it makes me say, is their defense
really that good? So I got all these thoughts that
make me say, hmm, but yeah, the Josh Allen thing
really starts to be a headline after this week. One
last both on and I have one other. I have
a baseball note, believe it or not, in fact, two
baseball notes. Let me write this down back to my Niners.
(40:07):
Just for a second, I was saying how even as
a fan, I have to be real with myself and
and are you know, super supportive, awesome audience window might
be closing. They come across as cocky like, oh we'll
fix it, times running out, you're five and five. It's
not looking good right This coming week they're playing in
green Bay. Do you ever have it in your heart
(40:28):
to bet against your team? Because the Green Bay Packers
in some places are like a one point favorite. And
I'm thinking, I don't know, am I like to me?
I think green Bay? I know green Bay just snuck
by Chicago. But is the sentiment still like the Niners
will get it together.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
You're still waiting for them to play like the night,
like the way they're supposed to go. What if they
don't do it? Fred Waner said, I mentioned the last hour.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Fred Waterer said, but they're not We know this isn't us,
but if that's what we're put out there for, Like,
I don't think the Bengals have anything to play for.
That was their chance yesterday, that was it forty nineers
still have to play hard and turn it around eventually.
I mean, du Is Kiddle back likely, But what about Bosa.
I'm just saying, like, no, but I think you needed
(41:12):
him yesterday.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
I do. I think you need to kill. Give you
the analogy.
Speaker 1 (41:15):
Remember when you said, when you watch the Old School
speaking of Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson, Buster Douglas. Remember that
whole fight. You weren't thinking, oh, Buster Douglas is kicking
his ass as a kid. You were like, all right,
when's Mike gonna turn it around?
Speaker 2 (41:27):
And Michael win this? Fot?
Speaker 1 (41:28):
I mean it's Mike Tyson. And Mike never turned he
never turned around. Like, yeah, what if the Niners go
eight to nine, nine and eight and just missed the playoffs? Like,
how is that not unlikely? Possible? Five and five? We're there, guys,
Niners are stinking like Gabe Lincoln.
Speaker 10 (41:40):

Coveno and Rich Show, The Coveno and Rich Show, The
Coveno and Rich, the swab Latino brother with the smooth, educated,
rich white guy on the sack.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
I guess that's me that's your what's up guys?
Speaker 1 (42:18):
CNR After an action packed Week eleven of the NFL.
My typhon Jake Paul By the way, that was actually
Mike when he was on our show a couple of
years ago. I hope you had a great weekend. UFC
three on nine, John Jones doing the Trump Dance sort
of weekend. Oh that really messed up, that really ticked
off liberals. Huh oh yeah, all and the NFL it's
(42:42):
catching on a zara, a zara from the Iron Dragons.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
So Kai ta kai sort of weekend. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
Now we go to your phone calls because we're recapping
the fight.
Speaker 2 (42:53):
I mean, we were all about it on Friday. We
have to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
I imagine everybody talking about it at work today, you know,
still processing figuring out how you felt about Mike Tyson
after all these years. And then, of course, like we
always do on Monday, things that make you go hmmm.
In the world of sports and Week eleven of the NFL,
Jay Stew's on the phone today seven to seven ninety
nine on Fox Iowa. Sam Dan Byron Spotty are here
at Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio. If you
(43:17):
want to play along at home. Let's go back to
the phones. Kevin in Minnesota. You're up next.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
What's up, keV?
Speaker 5 (43:22):
First time, longtime fellas man. Watching the Goat was awesome,
but you know so at my knees head her ninth birthday,
it was really awesome. We we're grinding back home on
the highway, an hour from from home to.
Speaker 10 (43:36):
Get back, rush back, and so we don't miss the fight.
Speaker 5 (43:39):
My thirteen year old and I we sit down and
we're just like, all right, we got back. The girls
are just walking on walking up the ramp just to start.
We get to the ninth round and it's just a
heater man, and so tenth rounds about to begin, and
it starts the buffer and I can't get it to work,
and it's just like.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
Oh, Keaven, you bring up two things right, the fact
that you and your son were bonding. That was a
lot of the sentiment from a lot of people, like
it brought families and generations together. So that's a win
for everybody. You know, you need as a parent those
bonding moments, especially if your kid's a teen. It's hard
to find things to bond over. But they know, Jake Paul,
it's not like you're going to Camp Flognaw with your daughter, Yeah,
(44:21):
which is where my daughter went to see Tyler the
Creator over the weekend. Right, So you find those bonding
moments and then you know that buffering part that he
speaks of speaking to generations. I got my mom, who's
seventy seventy something. Hit me up, Stephen, what's going on?
Is your Netflix buffering? I'm like, Mom, everybody it is,
(44:42):
bro kid. I think obviously is to go to Twitter
and see if everyone else is complaining, right, if everyone's
experiencing that on earthquakes? Right, and my mom she has
to hit me up.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (44:53):
I'm like, Mom, Relax, everybody is going through the same things. Yeah,
all right, let's go to Sebastian. You're on the Cavino
and Rich show.
Speaker 9 (45:01):
Yeah, guys called two Court Valance our uper dressed bull
time here, so I kind of know what the kitty
does all day long.
Speaker 11 (45:06):
And the fight closed down.
Speaker 10 (45:08):
The city that didn't have in the eyes for the
entirety of this fight.
Speaker 11 (45:11):
Everybody was sited in the watching.
Speaker 9 (45:13):
I kind of like, when you know, we do that
of aoll bunch of people are getting together and watch one.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Let's say that It was a big It was a
big night. It really was like again, you can we
can look back now and say like, yeah, you know
it's under delivered. Maybe your your expectations and what you
dreamt it could be. But still it brought us all together. Yeah,
you know, and it broke records. Uh, Bruno and Brooklyn,
what's that?
Speaker 11 (45:35):
Bruno, gentlemen, good afternoon. Hey, I had to watch party.
It's nothing else. We had a good crew together, good
hardcore party. We had a lot of fun. You know,
with all the glitches and stopped, we still had a
good time. The wild thing was and I think everybody
went into this oneing machine. Mike look like old Mike
wasn't going to happen unfortunately, And you know what, I
(45:55):
think Paul held back. I think he could have knocked
him out, but what good would that have done. He
would have looked like a dog if he did it.
And the only I want to say about it, it's
like Christmas. The hype leading up to it was bigger
than the event itself.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Damn perfect, It's Thanksgiving dinner. He took the words right
out of my mouth. I was I actually had written
down much like Christmas, the holiday season itself is way
better than Christmas Day. Christmas Day, you can let Bruno
have it because I agree it's even so right on.
Speaker 6 (46:24):
I also was going to say the same thing.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Next time someone has a killer point, I'm gonna steal it,
just like rich I'm gonna do that too, Hey hold on,
yeah down, Oh my god, that's so crazy.
Speaker 4 (46:36):
Breunian Richard sings that the journey was better than the destination.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
And it was a perfect are you reading my paper
in the air?
Speaker 1 (46:43):
Come on, sometimes the thought of sleeping with a woman
is better than actually sleeping with No, He's right, that's
exactly it. Maybe even bad pizza, still pizza. He nailed it, though,
So what's next? We'll see. I really hope this. I
was gonna say this guy, I was gonna say something
to me, Jake Paul. I hope Jake Paul really fights
(47:03):
a guy his age, A contender takes. The sports series
continues down that path. And what was your favorite meme?
Speaker 2 (47:10):
Who's next? Jimmy Carter? Did you like who?
Speaker 9 (47:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (47:13):
That's not fair to he was holding back?
Speaker 8 (47:15):
Then?
Speaker 4 (47:15):
Why are those memes out there that like, oh, he
should go fight the corpse of some you know? So
it's like, that's not fair because if he was holding
back and giving Tyson a break, then it's not like
it was.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
The Internet's not fair, period, It's really not Well, let
me ask you this.
Speaker 1 (47:28):
Then more than Jake Paul, and then we could put
a stamp on this and seal this conversation and move
on to football. And maybe there's a little part of
me delaying football because I have a reality I must
face as a forty nine Ers fan. I'll explain, boy.
But Jake Paul, you could say, who cares about this guy?
You've said it forever and yet he's still the guy.
Is Connor McGregor interesting to you, No, because he's too small,
(47:52):
But Connor McGregor is a pretty famous badass. The most
followed m M A record Davis Like, if you want
to talk like against circus, sideshow or like just fights
of intrigue, like a man versus bear, like Jake Paul, Gervonte,
Davis Gravonti Davis who he's one hundred and thirty five pounds,
Jake Paul walks around at like two hundred and thirty
(48:13):
five pounds.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
I'm saying that those are ridiculous things too.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
I'm not saying they can't happen, because if there's enough
money there and enough interest, then it could happen. But
it's ridiculous to think that that. Connor McGregor, Jake Paul like,
first of all, Connor McGregor, I don't think we'll ever
do it.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Hold just don't.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
You and I are suckers for these things. So let's
go to the more you know, logical folks here. But
he's a lot smaller, Dan Bayer, Jay Stu, Connor McGregor,
Jake Paul, are you watching.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
We don't watch except for Jay Stu.
Speaker 7 (48:44):
Yeah, I'd probably tune in.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
Jake Paul. Connor McGregor.
Speaker 8 (48:49):
I think I do only because I honestly think McGregor
might kill the guy Jake.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
Jake Paul said, Hey, he said to McGregor in the octagon.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
I saw that.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
If that's the case, imagine if Jake Paul is confident
to be like, I'll.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
Get the octagon with a smaller. But it's kind of guy.
I gotta remember Connor McGregor fought Mayweather.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
If I'm not mistaken, around one for well, it was
a one forty seven fight, if I'm not mistaken, Jake
pauls almost one hundred pounds more than that. But then
you can't mock this guy and say he's some little
corny kid dancing on YouTube. If he beats Coni McGregor
in an octagon, no matter how much bigger he is,
he can't bigger than exactly.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
But I'm a ass.
Speaker 6 (49:32):
I mean, boxing just seems so like structured and traditional
when you start bringing these spectacles into it, which I
think is what a lot of people thought about this
fight is just you know, you're you're kind of taking
away from what boxing actually is.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
It's given boxing new life.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
Dree.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
I'll tell you when you hear names like bettor b
But I feel like.
Speaker 6 (49:50):
The traditional fans are just are turned off by it.
It's exciting to watch, but it's not boxing.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
Here's a traditional event. You're grandpappy, They're all.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
Dying generated Steve Cavino, He's the biggest traditional box got
out visual for both, visual for both.
Speaker 7 (50:02):
To me, it magnifies the game of all right, would
you fight Mike Tyson? Okay, what about for forty million
dollars and a sixty Then you're like, Okay, I'll do it.
You know, like that's like that's what it is, like,
would you fight Connor McGregor. I don't think so. What
about if we gave you thirty million dollars?
Speaker 1 (50:18):
That was the old Remember that was like a total
bar hypothetical Mack in the day, like, Yo, would you
let Mike Tyson punch you for a million dollars?
Speaker 2 (50:24):
That's all? This is? What was it?
Speaker 6 (50:26):
Would you last a minute in the ring with Mike
Tyson or take one million dollars?
Speaker 2 (50:29):
Yeah? I remember the other one.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
Do you have a better chance of lasting one minute
in a ring with Mike Tyson or one minute with
a porn star?
Speaker 2 (50:35):
Do you remember that hypothetical? That's a fun one. Yeah,
that was That's a good one. What's your answer? What's
your answer?
Speaker 1 (50:42):
I have a way better time with I think I
could ask more of the porn start Mike. I'm I'm
not a I'm an in shape guy, but in a
ring I'd get demolished.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
All right?
Speaker 1 (50:51):
So you want to start focusing on a little NFL next,
Actually it could it could be a little of everything,
because when we get into things that made you go hmmm,
it's just all your observations throughout the weekend. So you
could still bring up the fight. But we got to
talk football. And your week eleven observations and get you
ready for Monday night football.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Well, let's do it. Things that made you go hmm,
things that make you go, things that make you go. Now.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
First observation is Dann Byer saw a first hand as
a Seahawks fan, the forty nine Ers have this inability
to finish. And I hate to say this, being the
biggest forty nine Ers fan on this network, maybe one
of the biggest forty nine Ers fans, anyone knows.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
I'm nervous. The window is closed.
Speaker 1 (51:50):
I feel like this team what they had the US
got fire. Yeah, and you're not gonna get rid of
Kyle Shanahan. He's you know, or are you? That would
not be a wise move, I think. But what is
going on? You can't say, well, Kuda wasn't there. Every
team is banged up. I don't know what it is.
If you look at three of the forty nine ers
division losses, Yeah, Geno Smith out there looking like a
(52:13):
superstar against your team. There was a sense yesterday, dB,
when the Niners were up seventeen thirteen, I turned to
everyone in the room. When the Niners couldn't put them away,
I said this, reeks of twenty seventeen Seattle wins.
Speaker 2 (52:28):
And I felt it.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
I felt it in my bones, the same way I
felt the Rams and the Cardinals both down double digits
in the second half, and I'm.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Like, the forty nine ers took their foot off the gas.
What did you see? As a Seahawks fan?
Speaker 7 (52:41):
It was during our live show, so I don't get
as much focus on it because we have two other
games going on, and Bills and Chiefs was a band
as well. I thought when Seattle didn't convert on their
third and shorts and then the fourth down run, that
that was actually the end all be all. But I
look at it from the Seahawks side of things in
(53:02):
saying like, oh wow, they were able to persevere, and
why people want to get rid of Geno Smith? I
have no idea, But on the forty nine Ers point
of it, it's it's kind of been my point all
season is none of this is given and so now
you get Christian McCaffrey back, which was the point that
everybody was pointing to. And Okay, you don't have George
Kittle and you don't have Nick Moosa. Those aren't excuses.
(53:23):
That's what is reality, dude. I hate to say this
as a Niners fan. The Niners fan base and everyone
involved in that organization is cocky.
Speaker 2 (53:33):
Yeah. The mindset of like, we'll turn it around.
Speaker 1 (53:36):
Because the last three or four years they started slow
and then come playoff time they were the.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
Team to beat.
Speaker 7 (53:42):
We'll turn it around, yep.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
And there's like a cocky sense of like, don't you worry.
We're the forty nine ers, and maybe you're not the
forty nine ers. I think Fred Warner even said, you know,
this is not us, but I guess this is if
what we're doing this on the field, maybe this is us.
Speaker 7 (53:57):
Yeah, there's no Armstead, no DeForest Buckner. I know it's
been a couple years for him, but there are pieces
that you hung your head on. And let's be honest,
there's no Dimico Ryans, there's no Robert Sala. At some point,
there's a point of diminishing returns for you're a defensive coordinator.
And it wasn't just last year. Now there's you know,
could even transition to this year.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Well made us say we all watched that together, watch
Rich He wore some holes in his socks pacing around
by the frustration.
Speaker 7 (54:21):
I don't want to say anything, but I do feel
like I need to uh, I need to bring it up.
I waited all show for Rich to say something about
the Seahawks and forty nine Ers in the hallway. The
whole first thing I said to Cavino was like, you
got to say a Seahawks start a weekend. But when
the Mets beat the Brewers on the walk off, Rich
is like, hey man, what's up?
Speaker 2 (54:38):
Hey? You gotta admit that was a great moment, right right?
That was awesome.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
Don't run it in at the end was a great
un I'll admit Gino Smith winning if I didn't buy
Steph Curry oh when yo, when he did this sleepy
Sleepy time, I was.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
Like, oh, it was a good moment. I hated it,
but I was a good moment.
