Speaker 5 (01:04):
What a morning?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I mean when I tell you, I'll say you ain kidding.
I feel like we should be on the Amazing Race.
I want to put our audition tape in now. We
had a six am flight, not that it matters, but
we went to the rental car place, and the rental
car place is always a pain in the ass, like
they ask you a million questions.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
You're up there for like twenty minutes, give me the car.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Yeah, but six ham flight means you're leaving at four am.
So yeah, our day started a long time ago. But yeah,
we get to the flight, we get to our rental
car place, we get a car I never heard of.
It's the Brown Hornet or something. Was it the Brown Hornet.
It's a Dodge Hornet.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Yeah, Dodge Hornet, Yeah, Dodge Horny.

Speaker 6 (01:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I had to take a photo of the logo because
I was like, what is this? By the way, the
reverse image search on it. That's a random fat Albert reference.
I don't know if anyone even got that.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
The Dodge Hornet needs a new front bumper. By the way.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yeah, so we're driving and because we're we're so behind
on time to make it here and we're so pumped
about the broadcast spot, let's just say was driving a
little frantic, but it wasn't even his fault. Got to
make this very clear, I mean, woman stop. How do
you say that woman stopped? Because she stopped real short

(02:16):
ahead of them, and we're on the rush, on the
go to get here for our broadcast.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
And let's just say it was a little love town.

Speaker 7 (02:23):
So yeah, it was a merge onto like a two
lane road, and there was no traffic coming. She was
starting to move, so I'm like, okay that we're all
gonna move, and she just stopped short. I slam about.
I swear to god, it was the most precision, like
boop love to you.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Give her a yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
But of course, thing whatsoever Dan puts her hazards on,
she has to pull aside.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Or she was sessed, that sets us sets us back
even more. Let me tell you she was on her phone. Yeah,
and I know for a fact she was on her phone,
and whether trying to make a mad dash here to
make it out time, whether she was on her news
or not on her news, I.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Just tried to expecially Dan Buyer's got breaking news. We'll
get to in one second. But whether or not this
woman was on her phone or not, Spot did bumper,
And for one second, I'm like, yo, if this becomes
the hassle of like I'm calling the police to do
a report, I'm like, yo, we're not gonna make it.
So the fact that she was like, yeah, we're good,
I was like, thank god.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
But again, if you're not piecing this puzzle together. We
had to fly to Atlanta and rent the car and
drive to Auburn, Alabama. I think this is our first
time ever in Alabama. So it's a pleasure to be here.
You could hear how frantic and excited we are again
live from the Lobbaryl, and it is beautiful.

Speaker 8 (03:38):
Fight on you.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Orange and blue.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Was the sign. Did you see the bathrooms too? How
beautiful they are.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Everything's nice, but you know what, we got a lot
to get to today. College football, NFL. We're an Auburn
But Dan Buyer's got breaking news.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Let's hear this.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 9 (03:57):
The San Francisco forty nine Ers will be without quarterback
Brock Party and defensive end Nick Moosa for Sunday's game
against the Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 8 (04:04):
Both have been ruled out because of injuries.

Speaker 9 (04:06):
Brandon Allen expected to start at quarterback for San Francisco
on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
When did the pastro Nac get hurt?

Speaker 9 (04:15):
There was a debate but on whether it would be
Dobbs or Brandon Allen, but it sounds like it's going
to be Allen's gig coming up on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Hey, Dan Byer, this is the breakout moment for Brandon Allen.

Speaker 8 (04:29):
Who needs brock Party when you've got Brandon Allen?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Right, Daniel Jones is available.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I heard for all I'm saying, I mean for all,
for all we know this is a big moment for
Brandon Allen. The forty nine Ers and Kyle Shanahan have
played well against Matt Lafleur and the Packers, so hey.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Who knows. I want to see how much the line moves.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I mean, the Packers were favored by two to two
and a half in Green Bay. Do you think this
jumps up a lot without Brock Party?

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so. I mean, dB
would have a better idea than me.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
You would have the best idea. You're the gambling fool.
What do you think? Well, it's already five and a half.

Speaker 8 (05:05):
My fends jumped.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
It went from two to five and a half, So
so our instance.

Speaker 9 (05:09):
Nobosa, you know I mean, that's you know, that's the
that's the undercard and all this, but that's pretty big
deal as well. Yeah, first time in what two years
the forty nine Ers haven't been favored in a game.
The last time they were underdogs was against the Chiefs
in October of twenty twenty two.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
You know what I hear, dB that that little window
Rich always talks about, teams have a window to make
it or break it, and I'm feeling that little forty
nine Ers window closing slowly.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Man, this is not.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
The season your mouth, but it just might not be
your season. Man, it's just not looking good. So many
injuries this season. Thank you, Dan By. I know you
gotta hope for dB.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
If you're a forty nine Ers fan or your team,
you know, if your team is consistently in the mix
and it's just not not their time. This is when
you were like, all right, Josh Allen or you know,
Jared Golf and the Lions get one this year so
we don't have to ever worry about them again, and
then maybe next year. Niners are back in the mix.
But I'm not counting them out yet. Kyle Allen, I'm

(06:08):
puting my faith in this guy.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
All right, well, hey, someone's chance to step up. Like
they say the old Asian proverb rich I'm making this up,
but wherever there's crisis, there's opportunity. So we'll see what happens.
And based on that, hope you had a Brown's sort
of Thursday night. I don't know how the Browns pulled
that out, but they did. It was fun to watch.

(06:29):
It was like you were watching a video game, the
Snow Game. I don't know if anyone had more fun
than Jamis Winston. We're gonna talk about that, but props
again to the Browns over the Steelers. We're also gonna
talk about Daniel Jones. We're gonna talk about the movies
coming out this weekend, Sonic Worker or NFL Player giving
away prizes, and we're having fun.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Live in Auburn.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I said it yesterday.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I'm not saying I'm making all the right picks, but
yesterday I said, Kevin, a Thursday short week. I want
to be shocked if the Browns and you cut me off,
If you cut me off and you're like.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Get out of here.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
The Steelers, Browns, Steelers all day, Bro, and you were
adamant that why a may even mentioning the Browns.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Yeah, no, I mean, like you always say, Vegas always
knows little something.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
They had it close.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
I didn't see that happening, but that's how it turned out.
I guess that short week, as your dad says, those
Thursday games, all the little what is he as wonky screwy,
all those dosday games.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I don't want to put my money then, always screwy.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
It was cool to see Nick Chubbs.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Snow plowing into the end zone, and is there anything
more fun to watch? I even told my kids, I'm like, yo, Emmy, Ben,
come by dad for a second.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
It was cool?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
How fun? And my daughter's like, aren't they cold? I'm like,
they're grown men, baby.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, grown men, but.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Grown men doing snow angels.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Nothing more fun than watching an NFL game in the snow.
And I want to start the show by first of
all saying hey, thank you Graduate Hotel for welcoming us
to Auburn, Alabama.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
By the way, can I make it a personal sort
of assessment.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
It's the brand new location in auburne right, so it's
a beautiful place. We're here in the lobby, there's a
lot of hustle and bustle going on, a lot of excitement.
We're happy to be here, We're meeting listeners, people are
partying with us later on.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
But there's like a lot.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Of like a like a distracting amount of women here.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
You know it is on the other side of the lobby.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, there's some like good looking women that have like
a pop up boutique.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yeah, hold on, no creep bo.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
But you do notice this lobby, guys, it's full of
like beautiful women.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
It's like a damn fashion yet what is going on?

Speaker 5 (08:34):
Though?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
I will be partly distracted, but let me get back
to what I was asking you.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Yeah, Danny g how are you?

Speaker 10 (08:39):
By the way, I'm saying as you guys.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Badly distracted.

Speaker 10 (08:44):
But at the same time, no, I'm I'm still a
little shaken up by that hit and run from Spotty
Hit and run.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
No one got the shower or anything.

Speaker 11 (08:52):
Our playoffs to get here, shower, get ready, everything was
so last second because the travels, I mean, all we
did is still some deodoran on and ComBar O hair
and we came right back down to do the bruncase.

Speaker 10 (09:05):
You know what's cool though, all the help from the
front desk Brittney, oh yeah, and Tanya and then our
affiliate here in Auburn, which we'll talk about a little later.
Van who's their program director, helped us out with some
equipment and some stuff. So we had we were on
the bat phone while we were sitting and bumper to
bumper traffic behind an accident. You guys forgot to mention, right,

(09:26):
So we're sitting behind an accident for twenty five minutes
looking at the GPS and Rich, if you could pace
inside a car, you would have been pacing.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
And the thing is like everyone listening is like, yeah,
you guys are on the radio, who cares?

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But we're done talking about it.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
But the reality is, you know that feeling you have
a big meeting, you have to be at.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
A work site.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Whatever are you doing?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, And it's like, yo, we're cutting it really close.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
And we get here probably fifteen twenty minutes before showtime,
and we're happy to be here. Let's get into it.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
First question of the day, because I've seen both narratives.
Jameis Winston, Yeah, National Treasure or Cringiest.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Guy on Earth? You know, Exhibit A.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
I was Sam play me little Jameis Winston from last
night never get enough.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
No let us no, let us snow.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
The Cleveland Browns got some more wins. Baby, that's kidding.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
You gotta tell anybody, I just.

Speaker 12 (10:23):
Got off Amazon and I'm pop fucking going off Amazon.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
It's gonna get gets to my house about nine o'clock tonight.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
That's how bass he is.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Was that Jameis Winston or Randa Watson? I mean during
the post game he had some other great quotes.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
He said, the horse is prepared for battle, but victory
comes from the Lord.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
And he said the Lord blessed us with snow tonight,
and then he's sexual chunk. I believe the children our future.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
He's doing well and that them need the way.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
No, it was great, man. I thought it was awesome.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
And they asked him, Hey, Jamis, where does this come from? Like,
is this from my soul?

Speaker 5 (11:04):
From my whole?

Speaker 3 (11:05):
He's saying soul glow?

Speaker 4 (11:06):
But he did say from his heart, and I do
believe that's just who he is. He's a genuine guy.
I'm leaning treasure all the way. I did see the
social media feedback of cringe whatever dude, people hate on everything.
That dude is awesome. I think he's great. I love
seeing it. I love seeing how he doesn't take it
for granted. He's happy to be there, happy to be

(11:28):
in the moment, feels blessed. He's expressing it. He's saying,
what did he say? We're playing a kid's game, dude.
They're playing football in the snow. They got the win
on Thursday Night Football. He didn't even know if he
was going to be starting until a few weeks ago.
That was awesome, man, I thought it was great. Anyone
hating on that is just lame and bitter.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
You know what it's like when you're a little kid
and you do see it snowing outside, dandy g I know,
hartroy Let, you're a California kid, but on the East
Coast those snow days, one of your first thoughts was
once the snow stops, or even when it's going.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
You get the neighborhood kids together.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
You're playing tackle football in the snow, and these grown
men are doing it in Cleveland, Ohio.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Home hold on.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Because you know they're on TV, they're in the NFL.
We do admire them and think they're larger than life.
But when you say grown men, you have to use
that loosely, because.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
These guys are young young men.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
They're very young in the grand scheme of things, so
they're out there having fun as they should be. You know,
you're a grown man. You're in your forties. These guys
in their twenties, you.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Know, so they're living it up.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
They're living large, and I'm excited for them. We all
want to be living through them and playing in the
snow on a Thursday night game on national television. It
was awesome, man, it was so fun to see, so
fun to watch. Your screen was a little I almost
had to put sunglasses on the screen was so bright.
But I think Winston owned the moment and made us

(12:54):
feel like kids again. And I thought it was just
something to applaud, not something to make fun.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
But that's fine if people have an.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Opposite reaction and you think he's the weirdest, cringiest guy.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Biomi's just explained why, because we saw a lot of that. Yeah,
eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox Covino and
Rich Live Today in Alabama.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I'm not gonna fight you over that's just my opinion.
I'm telling you. I saw equal feedback. Cringey, equal feedback.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
You know, this guy is, as they keep saying, a
national treasure. He's a blessed guy and he's expressing it.
I think it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
One thing, can you know, I don't think any of
us could take for granted as a fan watching, like
I said, watching football in the snow. Nothing like it right,
Like when there's bad weather conditions, rain, snow, fog. It
just adds a layer like ooh. You almost want to
watch more to see how the players react.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
It's like playing a video game or watching a video game.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
I saw Russ get hit a couple times, pretty hard, Danny.
I even missed the last way you said.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
He got Oh yeah, he got hit pretty bad.

Speaker 10 (13:56):
At last, when he threw that hail Mary up, he
got hit hall and he landed on his back like
he was on a sim.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Full of grace.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Sorry, but the one thing I did notice that I
don't care if you're an NFL player. I don't care
if you're an eight year old kid playing in the
school yard when you get sacked. And I saw Russ
get hit a bunch of times. When you got that
slushy snow up your sleeve in your waistline, did you
tell me that's not cold? Remember you'd be playing with

(14:26):
your friends of the yard and if you got some
some of that snow like crept up your back.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
On your days and getting hit always stings, and those
helmets get real cold.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
And stiff and a rattle when you get hit. But
was it Myles Garrett helmet with a paint was chipping off?

Speaker 4 (14:42):
I think you're so in the moment though your adrenaline's flowing.
It's the NFL. That stuff's not even really registering in
the moment. I mean, if you're on the sidelines, that's
another thing. But if you're in the game and you're
trying to win it was a close game, I think
that secondary. I think you're having fun, Like Jameis Winston expressed.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
And you know who is the happiest of all who
Baltimore Ravens fans. Oh yeah, because they got they they thought, well,
Thursday night, are you know the team that's a game
and a half ahead of us is going to roll
into Cleveland, get a get an early week w And.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Now that divisions even tighter.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, let me ask I was Sam in dB and
everyone back in the studio in LA is the vibe
national treasure or cringe when it comes to Jameis Winston?

Speaker 3 (15:27):
For you guys.

Speaker 13 (15:29):
I've always thought he was a little corny, little cheeseball
bo what do you I don't. I mean, he's he's
he's got a future in media. He's got a future
in media, no doubt, no doubt.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
See that he hams it up for sure. But here's
the thing, Sam, he's interesting. Yeah, you have to see that.
I'm not denying that. I acknowledge you know where the
feedback comes from. But I do believe here's here's why
I give it a pass. Yeah, I believe it's coming
from a genuine place. Especially a guy who had an opportunity,
lost an opportunity, gets another opportunity again that opportunity, I

(16:04):
got an opportunity for it, but didn't expect to be
starting this year either, And he was very gracious, you
know when he got the opportunity again. How could he
not be grateful, That's the thing. Yeah, you know, not
everybody gets that many opportunities. So for him to be
able to express that and acknowledge that, to me, that
shows in a way I don't know humbles the word,

(16:26):
but you could see that he doesn't take it for granted.
So you know, I appreciate that and I respect that.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
I get it. The NFL is fan driven, the biggest
sport in the United.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
States, and it's really not for us to decide if
it's you know, awesome or cringey. He sounds like a pastor.
You got to ask yourself. Do his teammates respond? I
just finally wrapped up that two thousand and four comeback
documentary about the Red Sox.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Yeah, you see he guy like Kevin Malar.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Yeah, clubhouse and how this clubhouse guys, locker room guys.
And I just wonder to the guys in the locker room,
is Nick Chubb turning to the other guy being.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Like yo, jamis yo, He's he's got us inspired? Or
is he turning to a teammate being like Cordy inspired?
I would think inspired?

Speaker 5 (17:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
I mean, when when you think of the athletes we admire, right,
especially in prize fighting, but in football in the NBA,
people have a big game. What are the first thing
most of these guys are doing. I want to thank God, right,
I want to thank God, you know for this moment.
I want to praise, Hey, praise at first, thank God
and this and that so are a lot of those

(17:32):
guys are coming from that place he's just next level
with this, So I think he's more inspiring than Cringey
for his teammates. I think he's leading by example. He's
changing the tone of that team. That team needed a
different sort of vibe.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Yeah, I'm sure his teammates are entertained.

Speaker 10 (17:48):
And one thing I like about jamis there's been times
where it seems like he's being serious when he's saying something,
but it comes off as funny.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
It does.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
You know why, because he's a personable guy. Though, like
I think he knows. He's aware of the moment. He
knows he's gonna get the feedback. Like everybody knows that
the cameras are on him. Everybody knows that it's gonna
be talked about on social media, so he probably leans
into it too. He knows what he's doing. But I
do think it's real. So again your feedback at eight seven,
seven ninety nine out Fox, it was a fun game.

(18:18):
He added to that fun but somehow the Browns pulled
it out. I did not see that coming. At three
and eight, Browns beat the Steelers who were rolling. They're
now eight and three. I get it was a short week,
but I'm still surprised.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
I want you to take a look ahead in the
AFC North. You know I love schedule watching at this
time of the year. Let me throw a little schedule
watch it you guys?

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Sure? So the Steelers, Yeah, you know they're done for
the week.

Speaker 13 (18:42):
They're Rich, Rich, you said your schedule watching. Yeah, actually
have a special thing for this.

Speaker 8 (18:46):
Let's go.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
Rich loves to look at the schedule game schedule watching.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Wow that, thank you, thank you. I feel like Raccona
in the two thousands where he had a stager for everything.

Speaker 10 (19:02):
Yeah, I love it, Rich, Remember when you did this
for your Niners recently?

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Schedule watch it? All right?

Speaker 1 (19:07):
So the Steelers, So he got the l You know,
the Steelers got the L this week. Now next week,
so they're eight and three next week you might say, well,
they got the Bengals. You think the Bengals are going
to give up just because they're they're sort of out
of it. I think you don't think they want to
play spoiler. You don't think Joe Burrow wants to play

(19:29):
big in that division. He has to have a ship.
So they play as the heartbreakers. They're losing. They play
at the Bengals, and that is no sure win for
the Steelers. However, the Ravens. They needed that loss last
night for the Steelers because you know what the Ravens
have coming up, Chargers and Eagles.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Those are two really tough games.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
So oddly enough, against all of our predictions early on,
it looks like it's the Steelers division to let slip away,
unless the Ravens just get hot, because the Ravens have
a way tougher schedule down the stretch.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
So we'll see what happens. But as of right now,
Steelers dropping that one last night, they lost a golden
opportunity to really jump out in that division.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
George Pickens didn't give him any credit, and we're going
to talk about that too, trash talking because he said
they aren't a good team.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
So listen, trash talk, We'll talk.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Hey, Browns aren't a good team, but they still got
the ws Daniel Jones, We'll talk.

Speaker 1 (20:28):

Speaker 1 (22:22):
I gotta recommend me because I started something on the
plane and I feel like it's got to be my
lead for a little weekend hob not oh yet, it's
all the stuff you got to watch outside the world
of sports too.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Plus we're giving away prizes Sonic worker or NFL player
having fun this Friday. But Rich, before we talk Daniel
Jones and everything else, are you ready, man?

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Do you mean my big TV game of the week
let's do let's go.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
You just hear my fat up?

Speaker 8 (22:49):
I got an extra TV were.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
The game game that I will have Rich's big TV
game of the week.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
It's Rich's Big TV game of the week.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Focus Rich. I know there's a lot of beautiful women
in the lobby here. Listen.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
What are we doing toget this guy? Oh my big
game TV.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
This guy's big head is on a swivel right now
going live.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
You know I do this live every week, meaning I
don't plan ahead. I genuinely look at it with you
as if I'm deciding right now.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
I mean, when do you ever plan ahead? When you
think about it?

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Now, there are, like I've said, we're at the stage
of the year where there's some bunk games and you're
seeing them being flexed in and out of Thursday night
and Monday night because let's be honest, as games that
we thought might be good and it turns out not
so good. Right so, early games on Sunday Saints Giants,
Brown Steelers.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
I'm sorry, I'm in the wrong week, My bad. I
was looking ahead.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
No, you looking at the hot blonde that walked by.
Shut the short skirt. Be honest, at least hilarious, honestly,
right handed.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
You cat that where my good?

Speaker 5 (24:05):
You know they couldn't hear you.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
I know, I know, I know, Bucks, Giants, who cares right,
Chiefs Panthers, that's gonna be a blowout.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
No one cares about that one. Commanders hosting the Cowboys
unless you want to see the Cowboys. Just get even sadder.
Patriots Dolphins. There's not a lot of Pickens George Style
on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Titans Texans, no thanks.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I think you might have to say early games Lions
at the Colts to the Lions keep rolling, it's the
best game.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
In the early part of the schedule.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
I just want to see, you know, how many points
they're gonna score, how dominant they look. That's the difference
between the Lions and other contenders this season.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
They seem to be dominant.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
But you get to see Anthony Richardson. That could be fun.
You know, Jonathan Taylor is with you know, good stars
to watch. But honestly, the early slate of games.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
You might go see Glad Gladiator two on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
It is really like the early games are sort of
weak vikings that bears to see if the.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Vikings could keep pace.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
You know, just behind the Lions there in Chicago. Those
are your early games as far as late games go,
not much better.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Okay, so you're sticking with the Lions, Yeah, not much
better at all.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
This does three late games and it's got to be
the Niners at Packers, just to see what could what
could be happening here with Brandon Allen to the forty
nine Ers. Is he gonna prove that Kyle Shanahan's offense
works for most quarterbacks? Because that's a true test, right
if it does, It's like, man, is Kyle Shanahan capable
of making anyone look all?

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Right?

Speaker 1 (25:39):
So Niners at Packers and some might say Cardinals at
Dan Beyer Steelers, that's a battle that I'm still trying
to figure out who I want to win as a
Niners fan, because someone's got to lose.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
I just don't know who I want to lose more.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
What helps the forty nine ers.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Let me ask you, Danny g Rich is always gonna
throw his forty nine Ers into the big TV game
of the week, especially with Allen at quarterback?

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Does it make it more.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Interesting or less interesting?

Speaker 5 (26:05):
Right?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Do you care? Less?

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Is it the forty nine Ers? I know it's Rich's
big TV. But what's the real answer here? Forty nine
Ers Packers or Cardinals Seahawks.

Speaker 10 (26:12):
Well, after seeing what Buyer Seahawks did last weekend, I'm
curious to see how they're going to match up with
a better looking Cardinals team.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
But you know, so it's that game.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Take away the homer side of this, right and take
it might be that game, but then take away the
curiosity of like, could any quarterback plug into Kyle Shanahan's offense?

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Because that's what everyone always says.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Right, Rock Purdy, I'm Jimmy Garoppolo. That makes it interesting.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
So but and it's your TV, so you get to choose,
but I'm thinking that might be Also.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
You get Geno Smith and Kyler Murray.

Speaker 10 (26:41):
Yeah, which both guys can go into video game mode
at any moment.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Who do you like in that game? By the way,
which one? What is your instinct? Oh, Seahawks?

Speaker 5 (26:50):
I always like Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
I'm a damn buyer guy.

Speaker 8 (26:55):
Yeah, dam byre I love it.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
No, it's true.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
I've always liked g Knows. This is a true story.

Speaker 11 (27:00):
Man.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
You know we're from New York. We followed that guy
since what twenty thirteen? He was on the Jets thirteen
twenty fourteen.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Not to go in a Geno Smith tangent, but Cavino
and I remember the days when Gino Smith was all
set to be the star of the Jets and he
got punched in the face by a teammate and that
was sort of like derailed his whole career.

Speaker 9 (27:18):
Right, Gino Smith had a heisman by the way for
half of his college football season West Virginia. Then Johnny
Manziel took over.

Speaker 14 (27:27):
Yeah, so you know, the Gino Smith story is fun
Kyler Murray, Truthfully, I sort of want to see your
team went to I just want to see the Arizona
Cardinals fall apart.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
As a Niners fan, I feel like we have a
better chance to find a way to keep pace with
you guys, because if the Cardinals stay hot, Yo, Dicky Noleiki,
I do not like that.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
So, hey, what is your big game of the week?

Speaker 1 (27:50):
And then Sunday night again, this is arguably one of
your weaker weeks of the NFL because you got Eagles
at Rams. If you pick the Rams can hang in there.
They're five and five, They're not bad. The Niners are
five to five, right, They're hosting the Eagles. This is
Philadelphia's chance to sort of start owning that NFC East.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
Well, if you're checked out as some of these later games,
that's why we do weekend hobnobbing. Later on, we give
you other things to watch, so we'll fill you in
on that, plus your chance.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
To win some prizes. We do that next.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
And I do want to talk if we have a
little time, writch talking about Daniel Jones and what do
you think about him? Do you want him to well,
you want him to thrive, right, but do you think
he's gonna thrive or do you think he's gonna bust
somewhere else?

Speaker 1 (28:31):
It's an interesting thought, right, And I'm also curious what
other people think the big game of the weekends because
this might be the weakest week.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Of the NFL in the last month and a half.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
We got more Kamin on Reretch next live from the
Graduate Hotel and all real.

Speaker 6 (28:45):

Speaker 1 (29:44):

Speaker 3 (29:49):
So two things. Number one, I want to go to
waffle House in the morning. Oh hell, you all right?

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Cool?

Speaker 3 (29:55):
I went down with that. You think you're the only one.
I don't know if you're down with one clo. There
are times you get a little la. I mean you're
like avocado toast.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Oh I didn't come here to yeah to eat a
little lettuce wrap bunny salad.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Okay, I was gonna.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Say, you got you got a waffle house up with
me tomorrow morn and all I want some waffles, man,
you want some fifth Yeah? I want some fig thin.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
And the number two is if you are a crypto person,
did you see earlier today bitcoin hit ninety nine thousand,
eight hundred dollars. Yeah, it just went down a little.
It's still almost ninety nine, but so close to a
six figure deal.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
And I'm thinking about what you're saying, is waffle house
on you tomorrow?

Speaker 6 (30:35):
Well?

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Sweet, you know what.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
I'm saying is I was the guy that just Adam
dumb pure luck was like, oh boy a bitcoin when
they're like six grand I don't.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Want you break about it. Don't know you want me
to feel bad for you. No, I'm putting it all
on Brandon Allen. Oh okay, alright, what bitcoin on.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
The niners on Sunday money Line, Let's go that's it.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Drinks on rich Imagine.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Imagine I was like, kids, your college fund is gone
because of Brandon All this.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Hour is going to be action packed, more bragging from
Rich I'm sure no break. But speaking of money in
mister money bag, by the way, you were the guy.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
That told me I was an idiot and crypto meant nothing.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah, I did say you invested in butt coin. I
said that for a good few years, based on Matt,
based on Daddy stacks over here, and all the money
that Daniel Jones has made. Listen, and when we tell
you how much money he has made already, you're gonna
want to vomit? Can you really feel bad for a
guy like that? We're gonna get to Daniel Jones plus
weekend hobnobbing. But now we want to give away prizes. Guys,

(31:33):
So I want someone listening to call now we want
to include you in on the game. Fox Sports Radio
Nation again it's Sonic Worker or NFL player, and we're
gonna do it now. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
We have our buddy Chuck here. He's going to represent
our listeners on site, but we want somebody at home
or in the car to play along as well. Eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. You simply just can't lose.

Speaker 10 (31:57):
That's as long as our two listeners don't come in
last place, they'll both win.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Somuch. All right, we'll do this.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
We'll take a listener that's live with us here, Yes,
take a listener on the phone, so.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
We include everybody exactly and we'll have some fun.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
Well.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
And by the way, the reason we chose Sonic Worker
this week, Danny g.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Why yeah, it's a vote.

Speaker 10 (32:13):
It was voted at number one fast food chain in
the state of Alabama, with Chick fil A a close second Wownic.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
And by the way, the bitcoin thing, I only I
only bring it up because much like my Grandpapy once said,
it's not worth anything, Richie, until you sell it. You
know what I would tell him about my Frank Thomas
and King Griffey jun your upper deck cards. He's like, oh,
you think it's worth eighty dollars until you try to
sell it and no one wants it. I mean, I
haven't sold anything, so.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
For the us say, you don't know ish from Shinola.
He did say that that was his catch roll home,
but you don't know ish from Shinoh.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
And now we're cooking with guests, no see, he said
all those things too, and how I don't even know that,
and how well you know what?

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Before we get to our game, I do want to
talk Daniel doctor Jones, because there is a layer of
man I feel bit for Daniel Jones.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
Listen to how sad he sounded just yesterday. Take a listen.

Speaker 12 (33:11):
There have been some great times, but of course we
all wish there'd been more of those. I take full
responsibility for my part and not bringing more wins. No
one wanted to win those win more games worse than me,
and I gave everything I had on the field and
in my preparation. Of course, this season has been disappointing
for all, and of course I wish I could have
done more. I'm one hundred percent accountable for my part.

(33:33):
I did not play well enough, consistently enough to help
the team get the results.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
He sounds like a guy giving a sad best man.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
Speech, but he also sounds very scripted. Clearly he's reading that.
And again, if you were sleeping all day. The Giants
have released Daniel Jones. He was benched. They announced Tommy DeVito,
Tommy Cutlets the starting quarterback, and now he's done.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Before we talk about.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
His earnings, what do you think rich your gut instinct
based on his potential and all the hope there was
for Daniel Jones. Like I said, I think it all
went downhill when he had that breakaway run and fell
on his face. I don't think he ever recovered from
that embarrassment. But do you think that he's gonna thrive

(34:23):
a lah Sam Darnold like somewhere else right, or do
you think he's.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Gonna be a bust allah?

Speaker 4 (34:29):
You mentioned him before, Josh Rosen, who never really found
his footing, went a few other places and it just
didn't work out. You think that's the future for Daniel
Jones or is he a guy that just needs a
new scenery.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Well? I think he's one of those guys, I really do.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
What's interesting about Daniel Jones is you don't have a
nickname like Danny Dimes and just fizzle out that hard.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Dan.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Well, first of all, I want to make it clear.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
I mean most people listening out know this, But the
reason why they kept moving him down the depth chart
and now he's cut is because the guaranteed money he
got has been fulfilled.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Yeah, And there was a.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Way that if Daniel Jones got injured, even if it
was like, oh, I hurt my foot seat. If he
was somehow injured, the Giants would have been on the
hook for another twenty plus million dollars twenty three or something.
I mean they are playing it rightfully, so cautious, right
like you know Daniel Jones sending this bubble.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
Well, you know because overall during his time in New York,
Danny Dives has earned a combined total of one hundred
and eight million, one hundred and twenty nine thou fifty
six dollars, so almost one hundred and ten million dollars
he's gotten from the Giants. And based on that, again
the two part doozy is this, do you think he'll

(35:47):
thrive somewhere else and it was just playing for the
Giants that didn't work out for him? Or is he
done just one of those guys that just wasn't ever
going to work out like Josh Rosen as we mentioned,
And here's the real meat of the question.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
When you see this guy, he's a handsome guy.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
I've heard rumors of him dating high profile women in sports,
attractive women in sports.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
He's made one hundred.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
And ten million dollars already and his career is not over.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Yet can you really feel bad for that kind of guy?

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Or no?

Speaker 3 (36:21):
That's my question.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
Like, there's a part of you that hears him read
that speech and you think about his time in New
York and you do feel bad.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
But then you have to say, hold on, this guy's
living the dream.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
He's playing in the NFL, he still has options, and
he made one hundred and ten million dollars. Oh yeah,
and he's dating hot women. Can you really feel bad
for that? That's my question.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Seriously, that's, by the way, that's a better question than
will he succeed somewhere else? Because that's that's such a
really difficult question to answer, because Sam Darnold bounced around
to multiple places before he really got the opportunity.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Baker Mayfield looked done until he ended up somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
And then you got to look at the quarterback market
right and say, well, yeah, but where Like, I'm not
gonna play the game of let's go through each division,
but there's gonna be teams that are like, no, we
want a young kid out of college theause other teams
that have a guy like a Mahomes or a Burrow or.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Josh Allen locked up.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Then you got to ask you.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
What if Daniel Jones says he'll play for free, like
Antonio Brown said to the Steelers, did you hear about that?

Speaker 3 (37:21):
They should take him up on it? They should take
him up on it.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Ab throughout just today I saw it that he'll play
for free for the Steelers for the rest of the season.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Please take them up. I think we all want to
see him thrive.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
He doesn't seem like a bad guy, and maybe just
the Giants wasn't wasn't it for him?

Speaker 3 (37:40):
We can't.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
We can't look at the Giants and say they were
like some great organization and let him down. I just
don't think it worked out.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Can you feel bad for someone that's rich, famous and
successful and notable. I think the answer is no, unless
you take away the money part.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Let me explain.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
If you are Jason Alexander and you're George Costanza and
the narrative of your life is well other than pretty
woman and you know, shallow howe on Seinfeld, I haven't
got a chance because everyone's like, it's George Costanza.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
He's typecasted. But he's also made hundreds.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Of millions of dollars, and I don't feel sorry for
him as George Costanza.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
If you were typecasted, but then you didn't make a
ton of money and that's it, Hm, I might feel
bad for you.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
Well then, Danny G.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
Because believe it or not, guys, we were talking about
this on our ride here, Danny G did speculate on Yeah,
but you know money doesn't always equal happiness.

Speaker 10 (38:37):
It doesn't, right, So how many rock stars Covino have
you covered on serious exam with their death, their untimely death,
and they were miserable, no matter the fame, no matter
their bank account.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
I mean, Lincoln Park just came out with a new album, right,
that's so Chester Bennington immediately comes to mind.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Who had more success than that? Guy? Didn't buy him
any happiness?

Speaker 5 (38:58):
Right?

Speaker 4 (38:58):
So do you still feel bad? Do you sympathize? I
have to be honest. I understand that money doesn't buy happiness,
Money can't buy you love. But you're playing a kid's game.
You've made it this far, you're dating high profile, beautiful women.
You still have an opportunity. It is hard for me
to feel bad when I really think about it. I

(39:19):
hear those crocodile tiers, Sandy Lyle style great reference when
Sandy Lyle, I hear those crocodile tiers when he reads
that speech, and I do sympathize with I wanted it
to do my best. I wanted to succeed here. It
didn't work out like that does suck, But I can
only feel so bad a guy that's so fortunate.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
So you're some of those shoots. Let's say you signed
a multimillion dollar a day.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
With ten million dollars, like's just a lot of flow.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Let's say you just signed like a really sweet deal
at like Fox Sports or a network, and it didn't
work out.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Ratings aren't good and they let you go.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
But people would say, yeah, but Comino Bank, the few
mill yeah, are in the big grand s of things,
in the big picture.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
Aren't you a success even though you didn't deliver? Look
look at this way. How many people make that kind
of money in the lifetime?

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Who made people roll their eyes more than anyone within
the last couple of weeks. Wasn't it Oprah Winfrey? Not Oprah?

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Why am I? I'm sorry? It was a rhetorical you're
really asking, huh? Ellen, She made people roll their eyes too.
It was whoopy. It was whoopy, whoopy.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Goldberg made a reference like I'd quit the I'm trying
to do her voice.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
She got that deep voice, that gravelly voice. She sounds
like Steve Oh.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
Whoopy said she'd quit the view and move on. Yeah,
but she's like, got bills to pay, and someone's like.

Speaker 5 (40:44):
To view and move on.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
And someone said, I got bills to pay.

Speaker 5 (40:49):
Now you just sound like Slinky from Toy Story.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
Now you're sounding the weezy oh weezy Jefferson.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
I'm sorry, George, George. Uh No.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
One felt bad for Whoopy Goldberg when she said she
has bills to pay because then immediately people say.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Wait, hold on, what's her net worth?

Speaker 3 (41:08):
Like one hundred million dollars?

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Like, yeah, I break out the violins for Whoopy Goldberg.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
Come on, Yeah, so we get it.

Speaker 4 (41:14):
It doesn't mean you're happy, but you're still doing so
much better than the average person, right, Yeah. Look, Daniel Jones,
a handsome, talented young man who made.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
One hundred and ten million dollars.

Speaker 4 (41:27):
I can only feel so bad because I'm still hoping
that he does well and find success somewhere else.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
The question we post to you and you could leave
your answer.

Speaker 4 (41:37):
You could even chime in it doesn't matter eight seven
seventy ninety nine one Fox at Covino and rich at
Fox Sports Radio. Can you really feel bad when people
in the grand scheme of things are successful?
