What a morning.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
I mean when I tell you I'll do ain kidding.
I feel like we should be on the Amazing Race.
I want to put our audition tape in now. We
had a six ham flight, not that it matters, but
we went to the rental car place, and the rental
car place is always a pain in the ass, like
they ask you a million questions.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
You're up there for like twenty minutes, give me the car.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, but six ham flight means you're leaving at four am.
So yeah, our day started a long time ago. But yeah,
we get to the flight, we get to a rental
car place, we get a car I never heard of.
It's the Brown Hornet or something. Was it the Brown Hornet.
It's a Dodge Hornet.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah, Dodge Hornet, Yeah, Dodge Horney. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
I had to take a photo of the logo because
I was like, what is this. By the way, the
first image search on it. That's a random fat Albert reference.
I don't know if anyone even got that.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
The Dodge Hornet needs a new front bumper. By the way.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, so we're driving and because we're we're so behind
on time to make it here here, and we're so
pumped about the broadcast spot. Let's just say, was driving
a little frantic, but it wasn't even his fault. Got
to make this very clear, I mean, woman stop. How
do you say that woman stopped? Because she stopped real
(02:13):
short ahead of them, and we're on the rush, on
the go to get here for our broadcast.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
And let's just say it was a little love town.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
So yeah, it was a merge onto like a two
lane road. Yeah, and there was no traffic coming. She
was starting to move, so I'm like, okay, we're all
gonna move, and.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
She just stopped short. I slammed out. I swear to god,
it was the most precision, like boop love to you
give her a yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
But of course, thing whatsoever, Dan put your hazards on.
She has to pull aside or she was sessed, that
sets us sets us back even more.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Let me tell you she was on her phone. Yeah,
and I know for a fact she was on her phone.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
And whether trying to make a mad dash here to
make it out of time.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Whether she was on her news or not on her news.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I just trited a text message, Dan Buyer's got breaking news.
We'll get to it in one second. But whether or
not this woman was on her phone or not, spot
did bumper, and for one second, I'm like, Yo, if
this becomes the hassle of like I'm calling the police
to do a report, I'm like, yo, we're not gonna
make it.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
So the fact that she was like, yeah, we're good,
I was like.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Thank god, but again, if you're not piecing this puzzle together.
We had to fly to Atlanta and rent the car
and drive to Auburn, Alabama. I think this is our
first time ever in Alabama, so it's a pleasure.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
To be here.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
You could hear how frantic and excited we are again
live from the lobbary of the and it is beautiful.
Fight on you. Orange and blue is the sign. Did
you see the bathrooms too, How beautiful they are. Everything's nice,
every brand location. But you know what, we got a
lot to get to today. College football, NFL.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
We're in Auburn. But Dan Bayer's got breaking news. Let's
hear this breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 6 (03:55):
The San Francisco forty nine Ers will be without quarterback
Brock Purty and defensive end Nick Moosa for Sunday's game
against the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Both have been ruled.
Speaker 6 (04:02):
Out because of injuries. Brandon Allen expected to start at
quarterback for San Francisco on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
When did the Pastro Nac get hurt?
Speaker 6 (04:13):
There was a debate but on whether it would be
Dobbs or Brandon Allen, but it sounds like it's going
to be Allen's gig coming up on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Hey, Dan Byer, this is the breakout moment for Brandon Allen.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Who needs brock Party when you've got Brandon Allen?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Right, Daniel Jones is available.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I heard for all I'm saying, I mean for all,
for all we know this is a big moment for
Brandon Allen. The forty nine Ers and Kyle Shanahan have
played well against Matt Lafleur and the Packers, so.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Hey, who knows? I want to see how much the
line moves.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
I mean, the Packers were favored by two to two
and a half in Green Bay.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Do you think this jumps up a lot without Brock Party? Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I think so. I mean, dB would have a better
idea than me. You would have the best idea. You're
the gambling fool.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
You Well, it's already five and a half. It's jumped.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
It went from two to five and a half, So
so our instance Nobosa.
Speaker 6 (05:08):
Yeah, I mean that's you know, that's the that's the
undercard and all this, but that's a pretty big deal
as well. Yeah, first time in what two years the
forty nine Ers haven't been favored in a game. The
last time they were underdogs was against the Chiefs in
October of twenty twenty two.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
You know what I hear, dB, that that little window
Rich always talks about, teams have a window to make
it or break it, and I'm feeling that little forty
nine Ers window closing slowly.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Man, this is not.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
The season your mouth, but it just might not be
your season. Man, it's just not looking good. So many
injuries this season, Thank you, dan By. You know, you
gotta hope for dB.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
If you're a forty nine Ers fan or your team,
you know, if your team is consistently in the mix
and it's just not not their time. This is when
you were like, all right, Josh Allen or you know,
Jared Golf and the Lions get one this year so
we don't have to ever worry about them again, and
then maybe next year Niners are back in the mix.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
But I'm not counting him out yet, Kyle Allen. I'm
putting my faith in this guy.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
All right, Well, hey, someone's chance to step up, like
they say the old Asian proverb rich I'm making this up.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
But wherever there's.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Crisis, there's opportunity. So we'll see what happens. And based
on that, hope you had a Brown's sort of Thursday night.
I don't know how the Browns pulled that out, but
they did. It was fun to watch. It was like
you were watching a video game, the Snow Game. I
don't know if anyone had more fun than Jamis Winston.
We're going to talk about that, but props again to
the Browns over the Steelers. We're also going to talk
(06:36):
about Daniel Jones. We're gonna talk about the movies coming
out this weekend, Sonic Worker or NFL Player giving away prizes,
and we're having fun live in Auburn. I said it yesterday.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
I'm not saying I'm making all the right picks, but
yesterday I said, Kevin, a Thursday short week. I want
to be shocked if the Browns and you cut me off.
You cut me off, and you're like, get out of here, Feelers, Browns, Steelers,
old day bro, and you were adamant that Why am
I even mentioning the Browns.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah no, I mean, like you always say, Vegas always
knows little something.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
They had it close.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I didn't see that happening, but that's how it turned down.
I guess that short week. As your dad says, those
Thursday games all the little what does he is wonky
screwing all those Thoday games. I don't want to put
my money then, always screw it.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
It was cool to see Nick Chubbs snow plowing into
the end zone, and is there anything more fun to watch?
I even told my kids, I'm like, yo, Emmy, Ben,
come by dad for a second.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
It was cool?
Speaker 3 (07:36):
How fun? And my daughter's like, aren't they cold? I'm like,
they're grown men.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Baby, Yeah, grown men, but grown men doing snow angels.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Nothing more fun than watching an NFL game in the snow.
And I want to start the show by first of
all saying hey, thank you Graduate Hotel for welcominging us
to Auburn, Alabama.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
By the way, can I make a personal sort of assessment.
It's the brand new location in Aubourne, right, so it's
a beautiful place. We're here in the lobby, there's a
lot of hustle and bustle going on, a lot of excitement.
We're happy to be here, We're meeting listeners, people are
partying with us later on. But there's like a lot
of like like like a distracting amount of women here.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
You know it is on the other side of the lobby.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, there's some like good looking women that have like
a pop up boutique.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yeah, hold on, no creep bo. But you do notice
this lobby, guys, is full of beautiful women. It's like
a damn fashion yet what is going on? Though?
Speaker 3 (08:32):
I will be partly distracted, but let me get back
to what I was asking you.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, Danny g how are you?
Speaker 4 (08:37):
By the way, I'm same as you, guys.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Badly distracted.
Speaker 7 (08:42):
But at the same time, no, I'm I'm still a
little shaken up by that hit and run from Spotty.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Hit and Run. No one got the shower or anything.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Our playoffs to get here, shower, get ready, everything was
so last second because the travels. I mean, all we
did is though some deodoran on and comb our hair,
and we came right back down to do the brundcast.
Speaker 7 (09:02):
You know what's cool though, all the help from the
front desk Brittany, oh yeah, and Tanya and then our
affiliate here in Auburn, which we'll talk about a little later.
Van who's their program director, helped us out with some
equipment and some stuff. So we had we were on
the bat phone while we were sitting and bumper to
bumper traffic behind it accident. You guys forgot to mention, right,
(09:23):
So we're sitting behind an accident for twenty five minutes
looking at the GPS and Rich if you could pace
inside a car, you would have been pacing.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
And the thing is like everyone listening is like, yeah,
you guys are on the radio, who cares?
Speaker 2 (09:34):
But we're done talking about it.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
But the reality is, you know that feeling you have
a big meeting, you have to be at.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
A work site. Whatever are you doing?
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Yeah, And it's like, yo, we're cutting it really close.
And we get here probably fifteen twenty minutes before showtime,
and we're happy to be here.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Let's get into it.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
First question of the day, because I've seen both narratives.
Jameis Winston, Yeah, National Treasure or Cringiest.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Guy on Earth? You know, Exhibit A.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
I was Sam play me little Jameis Winston from last
night never get enough.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
No let us no, let us snow. The Cleveland Browns
got some more wins. Baby, that's kidding.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
You gotta tell anybody, I just got off Amazon and
I'm pap fuck going off Amazon.
Speaker 8 (10:24):
Is gonna get hid in my house about nine o'clock tonight,
That's how fast it is.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Was that Jameis Winston or Randa Watson? I mean during
the post game he had some other great quotes.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
He said, the horse is prepared for battle, but victory
comes from the Lord.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
And he said the Lord blessed us with snow tonight,
and then he's sexual chunk.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
I believe the children our future. He's doing well and
that them need the way. No, it was great, man.
I thought it was awesome. And they asked him, Hey, jameis,
where does this come from? Like, is this from my soul?
Speaker 4 (11:01):
From my whole?
Speaker 2 (11:03):
He's saying soul glow?
Speaker 1 (11:04):
But he did say from his heart, and I do
believe that's just who he is. He's a genuine guy.
I'm leaning treasure all the way. I did see the
social media feedback of cringe whatever dude, people hate on everything.
That dude is awesome. I think he's great. I love
seeing it. I love seeing how he doesn't take it
for granted. He's happy to be there, happy to be
(11:25):
in the moment, feels blessed. He's expressing it. He's saying,
what did he say? We're playing a kid's game, dude.
They're playing football in the snow. They got the win
on Thursday Night Football. He didn't even know if he
was going to be starting until a few weeks ago.
That was awesome, man, I thought it was great. Anyone
hating on that is just lame and bitter.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
You know what it's like.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
When you're a little kid and you do see it
snowing outside, dandy g I know, hartroy Let, you're a
California kid, but on the East Coast those snow days,
one of your first thoughts was once the snow stops,
or even when it's going.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
You get the neighborhood kids together.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
You're playing tackle football in the snow, and own men
are doing it in Cleveland, Ohio.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Home hold on.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Because you know they're on TV, they're in the NFL.
We do admire them and think they're larger than life.
But when you say grown men, you have to use
that loosely, because these guys are.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Young young men. They're very young in the.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Grand scheme of things, so they're out there having fun
as they should be. You know, you're a grown man.
You're in your forties. These guys in their twenties, you know,
so they're living it up. They're living large, and I'm
excited for them. We all want to be living through
them and playing in the snow on a Thursday night
game on national television. It was awesome, man, it was
(12:40):
so fun to see, so fun to watch. Your screen
was a little I almost had to put sunglasses on
the screen was so bright. But I think Winston owned
the moment and made us feel like kids again. And
I thought it was just something to applaud, not something
to make fun of. But that's fine if people have
an opposite reaction and you think he's the weirdest, cringiest
(13:04):
guy byomi, He's.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Just explained why because we saw a lot of that.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Yeah, eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox Covino
and Rich Live Today in Alabama.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
I'm not gonna fight you over that's just my opinion.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
I mean, I'm telling you I saw equal feedback, cringey,
equal feedback. You know, this guy is, as they keep saying,
a national treasure.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
He's a blessed guy and he's expressing it.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
I think it's awesome.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
One thing, can you know, I don't think any of
us could take for granted as a fan watching, like
I said, watching football in the snow. Nothing like it right,
Like when there's bad weather conditions, rain, snow, fog.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
It just adds a layer like ooh, you almost want
to watch more to see how the players react. It's
like playing a video game or watching a video game.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
I saw Russ get hit a couple times, pretty hard, Danny.
I even missed the last way you said he got.
Speaker 7 (13:51):
Oh yeah, he got hit pretty bad. At when he
threw that hail Mary up. He got hit hard and
he landed on his back like he was on a.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Side full of grace.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Sorry, But the one thing I did notice that I
don't care if you're an NFL player. I don't care
if you're an eight year old kid playing in the
school yard when you get sacked. And I saw Russ
get hit a bunch of times. When you got that
slushy snow up your sleeve in your waistline.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Did you tell me that's not cold?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Remember you'd be playing with your friends in the yard
and if you got some of that snow like crept
up your back on.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Your days and getting hit always stings, and those helmets
get real cold and stiff and a rattle when you
yet hit.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
But it was it Myles Garrett helmet with a paint
was chipping off. I think you're so.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
In the moment though your adrenaline's flowing. It's the NFL.
That stuff's not even really registering in the moment. I mean,
if you're on the sidelines, that's another thing. But if
you're in the game and you're trying to win, and
it was a close game, I think that secondary. I
think you're having fun. Like Jameis Winston expressed, And.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
You know who was the happiest of all who Baltimore
Ravens fans. Oh yeah, because they got They they thought, well,
Thursday night, are you know the team that's a game
and a half ahead of us is going to roll
into Cleveland, get a get an early week w and
now that division is even tighter. Yeah, let me ask
I was Sam in dB and everyone back in the
(15:18):
studio in LA is the vibe national treasure or cringe
when it comes to Jameis Winston for you guys.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
I've always thought he was a little corny, little cheese
ball bo. What do you I don't. I mean, he's
he's he's got a future in media. He's got a
future in media, no doubt, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
See that he hams it up for sure. But here's
the thing, Sam.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
He's interesting. Yeah, you have to see that. I'm not
denying that.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I acknowledge you know where the feedback comes from. But
I do believe here's here's why I give it a pass. Yeah,
I believe it's coming from a genuine place. Especially a
guy who had an opportunity, lost an opportunity, gets another
opera tunity that opportunity, opportunity for it, but didn't expect
to be starting this year either, And he was very gracious,
(16:07):
you know when he got the opportunity again. How could
he not be grateful, That's the thing, you know, not
everybody gets.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
That many opportunities.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
So for him to be able to express that and
acknowledge that, to me, that shows in a way, I
don't know humbles the word, but you could see that
he doesn't take it for granted.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
So you know, I appreciate that and I respect that.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
I get at the NFL's fan driven the biggest sport
in the United States, and it's really not for us
to decide if it's you know, awesome or cringey. He
sounds like a pastor. You got to ask yourself. Do
his teammates respond? I just finally wrapped up that two
thousand and four comeback documentary about the Red Sox.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
You see he guy like Kevin Malar.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Yeah, clubhouse and how this clubhouse guys, locker room guys.
And I just wonder to the guys in the locker room,
is Nick Chubb turned into the other guy being like yo,
jamis yo. He's he's got us inspired? Or is he
turning to a teammate being like Cordy like inspired?
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I would think inspired.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
I mean when when you think of the athletes we admire, right,
especially in prize fighting, but in football in the NBA,
people have a big game. What are the first thing
most of these guys are doing. I want to thank God, right,
I want to thank God, you know.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
For this moment.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
I want to praise.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Hey, he praised at first, thank God and this and
that so are a lot of those guys are coming
from that place. He's just next level with this, So
I think he's more inspiring than Cringey for his teammates.
I think he's leading by example. He's changing the tone
of that team. That team needed a different sort of vibe.
Speaker 7 (17:43):
Yeah, I'm sure his teammates are entertained. And one thing
I like about jamis there's been times where it seems
like he's being serious when he's saying something, but it
comes off as funny.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
It does.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
You know why, because he's a personable guy though right Like,
I think he knows. He's aware of the moment. He
knows he's gonna get the feedback. Like everybody knows that
the cameras are on him. Everybody knows that it's gonna
be talked about on social media, so he probably leans
into it too. He knows what he's doing. But I
do think it's real. So again your feedback at eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox, it was a fun game.
(18:15):
He added to that fun but somehow the Browns pulled
it out. I did not see that coming to three
and eight. Browns beat the Steelers who were rolling. They're
now eight and three. I get it was a short week,
but I'm still surprised.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
I want you to take a look ahead in the
AFC North. You know, I love schedule watching at this
time of the year. Let me throw a little schedule
watching you guys.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Sure. So the Steelers, Yeah, you know they're done for
the week. They're rich, Rich, you said your schedule watching. Yeah,
I actually have a special thing for this.
Speaker 6 (18:44):
Let's go.
Speaker 8 (18:46):
The rich loves to look at the schedule game schedule watching.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
For that. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
I feel like Racconan in the two thousands where he
had a stager for everything.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Yeah, Rich, remember when you did this for your Niners recently?
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Schedule watch it all right? So the Steelers, So he
got the L. You know, the Steelers got the L
this week.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Now next week, so they're eight and three next week,
you might say.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Well, they got the Bengals. You think the Bengals are.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Going to give up just because they're they're sort of
out of it. I think you don't think they want
to play spoiler. You don't think Joe Burrow wants to
play big in that division.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
He has to have a ship. So they play at
these heartbreakers. They're losing.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
They play at the Bengals, and that is no sure
win for the Steelers. However, the Ravens. They needed that
loss last night by the Steelers because you know what
the Ravens have coming up, Chargers and Eagles, those are
two really tough games. So oddly enough, against all of
(19:51):
our predictions early on, it looks like it's the Steelers
division to let slip away unless the Ravens just get hot,
because the Ravens have a way tougher schedule down the stretch.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
But as of right now, Steelers dropping that one last night,
they lost a golden opportunity to really jump out in
that division.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
George Pickens didn't give them any credit, and we're gonna
talk about that too, trash talking because he said they
aren't a good team.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
So listen, trash talk. We'll talk.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Hey, Browns aren't a good team, but they still got
the WS.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Daniel Jones.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
We'll talk a little of everything, a lot of fun
doing it live from Auburn Graduate Hotel Covin on.
Speaker 2 (20:31):

Danny G puts up a best of the week too
Saturday morning, so manyana look for our best of the
week and over promises available a new episode episode seventy.
You could watch on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. You
could listen, you could do both. We appreciate it. We
ranked the Rocky movies.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
You know no two people, I tell you no two
people agree on the order of the Rockies well, it was.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
The anniversary yesterday of the original Rocky forty eight years ago,
so we ranked them on over promise keepin Fox Sports
Radio's YouTube page.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Oh absolutely, I'm afraid. All right, I'm afraid.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
And we also talk about falling short of milestones. Falling
short in milestone.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
It's so annoying.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
What do you think Dustin Pedroia's career batting averages? Ooh,
two ninety nine wouldn't that drive you insane?
Speaker 4 (23:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Andrea Scalarraga three hundred and ninety nine home runs. So
we go over that and again. I find the Rocky
thing fascinating on the anniversary yesterday, where like some people
love four because it's Russia and Drago, and some people
like get out of Here one. It's an Academy Award winner.
Some people think Rocky one's slow.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, well I think it holds the test of time,
and we debate it again over promised Fox Sports Radios
YouTube page. I find it intriguing that Slice Delane went
public to say that the Tyson fight was a fix.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
That's that's weird.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
That's still lingering that story all right now.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
I was saym, I'm putting you on the spot I'm
putting Dan Bayer and Camino and Danny j. You played
on the road again, correct, Yes it did. We're in Auburn, Alabama.
We got the sad news from the Dan Bayer update
that Brandon Allen is the forty nine ers quarterback and
a must win.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Against the Packers this weekend.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
Tell me what teams Brandon Allen has played on in
the NFL?
Speaker 7 (24:19):
All Vikings and wrong, he was Allen the Titans.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Nope, d dam Bayer.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
You called him by a different name earlier, Rich, I'll
give him a different.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
First name, Panthers. I thought that as well.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
No, was it Kyle Allen?
Speaker 3 (24:38):
No, as Kyle Allen? Yeah, so I think that's that's
the confusion. Oh, Brandon Allen was on the Jags, the Rams,
the Broncos, the Bengals, and now the forty nine Ers.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
And I know he played at Arkansas, right, so yeah,
Arkansas do.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
And after he sucks it up this weekend.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
He lost the road, Okay, yeah, razorback.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yeah, we'll see this weekend again. Stranger things have happened.
That Kyle Shanahan offense will be put to the test,
because what does everyone say?
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Could you know what's the criticism of.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Brock Perdy before that Garoppolo is that you could do
what just put anyone in there, and when you have
kod Owen, McCaffrey and Demo and all that, anyone could
do it. So, you know what, what a great test
to see if anyone could do it.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
We'll find out. So we talked about the game last night.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
The question we in fact, I'm gonna best ten grands
on the forty nine Ers right now, go do it?
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Was Jameis Winston awesome? Is he a treasure or was
he cringey last night? It could be all of the above,
But I think he's seizing the moment, taking in this opportunity,
not taking it for granted. And I think it's fun.
I think it's fun to watch. I thought that whole
game was fun to watch, and I was shocked to
see the Browns beat the Steelers like that. But after
(25:53):
the game, not everyone was buying into the Brown's hype.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
Right and the moment.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
I don't know if you saw it, but George Pickens
went on a rant about how they're not a good
team at all, and I know Iowa Sam has a
little bit of the trash talk.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
After the game, or does.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
He not, or he fell asleep, or he's not paying attention,
or he's playing Hangman.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
With Dan Byernle.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Aren't playing Hangman? I got I can tell you that.
But the funny thing was, was I completely blanked as well?
What sound did you guys want?
Speaker 2 (26:31):
George Pickens? Pickens?
Speaker 6 (26:33):
Okay, that's where it was. We're still trying to figure
out where Brandon Allen played.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Here.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
You know what, you know what that is a tough question.
I can see the distraction.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Jacks the Jacks.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Yeah, yeah, because we have a question about trash talking.
The Steelers lost, so guess what if they're not that
great of a team, you still lost to the Browns.
This is George Pickens.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Last night the snows.
Speaker 9 (26:57):
You know, the conditions were so bad. I don't even
think you know the cutities sometimes you know my condition
like that, the kind of at the upon his home
field kind of play in their favor. I don't really
think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all.
I think the conditions kind of saved them today.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Now, Rich, we can't talk out of both sides of
our mouth. Although I disagree with him and it sounds
like sour grapes right. I like the fact that he's
given us his honest opinion right there, because we always say,
just tell us how you really feel, and.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
That's how he really feels.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Can ask someone to tell me the truth, tell me
how you feel, and then when they do, you get mad.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Right, No, no one's mad at it. I'm just saying
he was talking trash. Yet they lost. And there's another
story where Dylan Brooks. Now, we got to rewind Dylan
Brooks when he was with the Grizzlies. Remember he was
seeing that Lebron was old and he hit Lebron in
the junk Where did junk shots?
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Yeah, hit that.
Speaker 7 (27:48):
It was the first round of the NBA playoffs and
after Game two he made the old comments and he said,
I poke Beers. I don't respect no one until they
come and give me forty points. Then he was ejected
from Game three after giving Lebron that junk shot. He
averaged ten Brooks. Brooks didn't back up his big talk.
(28:08):
He averaged ten points in the series. James meanwhile balled
out in all the different categories.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Yeah, that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
So again, you got George Pickens talking smack, you got
Dylan Brooks, who.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Now is going after a different laker.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Now he's going after Dalton Konnec this week, who's lighting
it up hitting threes? You know, we saw it a
great week he has. Now he's talking smack about that dude.
So I pose this question, based on all the smack
talking in the past twenty four hours, do you have
to back it up? Do you have to win the
talk smack or can you talk smack anytime? Do you
respect it because it adds to the fun. Is that
(28:42):
just who these guys are? And you chalk it up
to that because what was he saying about Dalton connect
now Danny g.
Speaker 7 (28:48):
Oh okay, his quote that rookie isn't special at all.
I'll lock him up and he won't he won't even
score against me. Dylan Brooks, who's now on the rocket.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
Listen, I will say this, Dylan Brooks to the casual,
casual NBA fan. They might only know him from trash,
from the lebron trash talk a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Oh, poking the bear thing was the big story that
we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Listen, in the NHL we have talked in the past.
That was a great shun. William Scott underrated movie goon. Yeah,
there's guys that have roles in every sports right like
this clubhouse, guys as enforcers in the NBA. I feel
like trash talk is a big part of it. And
I don't think you need to be a start to
trash talk. I think Dylan brought back it up a little.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
I mean, look at the look at the NFL.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
We're talking about mediocre quarterbacks like Brandon Allen. You remember
a quarterback that did a hell of a lot of
trash talking. And Josh Rosen, Yes, remember trash. Rosen's like
every team that didn't draft me is gonna pay.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
And then it's.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Funny rich because Josh Rosen Rose, Josh Rosy, Josh Rosen,
Josh he ties in to a Daniel Jones conversation I
kind of want to have too in a little bit
because he's big in the news. But you got George
Pickens talking trash after the game. You got Dylan Brooks
of the Rockets now talking trash about the Lakers once again.
(30:12):
Dalton connect and you know, both on the losing side
of things, and we're thinking, man, you got you gotta
step it off, you gotta deliver if you're gonna be
talking smack or do you that's the question Fox Sports
Radio Nation eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven ninety nine one Fox either way, just as
a fan and a spectator, it just adds fun to
(30:36):
the story and ad funds to the game. So thank
you Pickens and Dylan Brooks for providing that.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
All right, well, you know what, I want to get
your feedback in your thoughts. But let's go to Dan
buy for an update. And Dan, I know you're gonna
lead with Bosa and Perdy just to upset me, so proceed.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Sure.
Speaker 6 (30:53):
The biggest news that we've got the forty nine ers
even more shorthanded, no Brock Perdy, no Nick Bosa. When
they face the Packers on Sunday. Green Bay will be
without corner Jaii Alexander for that game against San Francisco.
As you mentioned, if Brandon Allen will get the start
at quarterback. That was the message from Kyle.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Shit did did Fred Warner stub his toe? Was he
out to?
Speaker 6 (31:14):
Not yet?
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Not yet?
Speaker 6 (31:16):
Hey, nobody wants to think nobody thirty one other teams
in the NFL. It's what I'm trying to say, have
no sympathy right now for the forty nine ers, of course,
so but in the Giants, so they've got their own problems.
They released Daniel Jones today now ninety four point one
FM and San Antonio had Cowboys executive vice president Stephen
Jones on their station, and Jones said the team is
(31:39):
an interested in signing Daniel Jones, saying they're happy with
their quarterback situation right now, with Cooper Rush getting the
start against the Commanders coming up again in week twelve
with Trey Lance being the backup. Speaking of the Cowboys,
they do have the Commanders on Sunday, Ceedee Lambs off
the injury report. He will start in that game. Dallas
did rule tight on Jake Ferguson out because of a concussion.
(32:00):
No DeVante Smith for the Eagles. The wide receiver is
going to miss their game with the Rams because of
a hamstring injury, and Isaiah Pacheco will have to wait
another week to try to return from his fractured leg.
Head coach Andy Reid said the Chiefs running back will
not play in Week twelve against Carolina. The NFL is
using flex scheduling on a Thursday night for the first
time in history. The Broncos Chargers game in Week sixteen
(32:21):
in LA will now be played on Thursday, December nineteenth.
The Browns Bengals matchup that was originally scheduled on that Thursday,
we'll move to Sunday, December twenty second, at one o'clock Eastern. Guys,
back to.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You, no thank you, dB.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
So we still have Rich's big TV game of the
week as we head into the weekend.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Plus we're giving away prizes.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Is it a sonic worker or NFL player will do that?
Plus weekend hobnobby we do that every Friday.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
And trash talking.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
To wrap it up, I think, I think you just
sound like a baby, like a cry baby if you're
not backing up, if you're losing and you're trash talking.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Some people aren't the best players, but they're great trash talkers.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Think about it, Yeah, but think about it win or
you have to do something to deliver.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Think about why simple in simple terms.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
If you're a trash talker at the gym playing basketball
or playing you know, rex softball or golfing, Like, there's
guys that talk a good game and that's sort of
their charm.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Right, that's empty fajitas, that's all sizzle, No substance. You
know what I mean, that's just all flash, nothing else
behind it. Don't be a fijeta, You're just all talk.
You gotta walk to talk a little bit. So again,
Picking's a good player, but they got the m Brooks
doesn't really bring much and Dalton connect is lighting it up.
So trash talking, guys, your thoughts.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
On that and Rich's Big TV Game of the week,
And that was also our reminder to don't always fall
for the fijida. Honestly, you go to a nice Mexican restaurant,
you see someone walk past you with that that sizzling tray,
and you're like ooh, and then when you get it,
you're always like, why did I get the fijida?
Speaker 1 (33:57):
It's all hot air man, it's loud mouth antics. It's like,
all right, well, what are you doing to.
Speaker 9 (34:01):
Back that up?
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Putting it out of other people, putting pressure on your team?
Speaker 2 (34:04):
What are you doing? Well?
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Has we got more convin on Rich and your feedback
trash talking. We'll get into week twelve of the NFL.
We'll go over some of our picks and of course
what gets the big TV? What games are worthy live
from Auburn, Alabama and the Tiraq dot com studio.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Doing it live Camino and Rich. Now. This is an
add by better Help. What comes to mind? Can we
know when you hear the word gratitude Jamis Winston last night?
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Maybe you think about your friends, your family, how happy
you are to have them and all the things in life.
Maybe it's a tough moment right now, and it's a
little hard to feel grateful. There is, however, one thing
in life. We often don't show enough gratitude for ourselves.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
We've all made it through a lot, and even when
it feels like we don't have much to show for it,
we still have ourselves. So here's a reminder to send
some thanks to the people in your life, including you.
A great way to give yourself some thanks is to

Speaker 1 (35:22):
It's a pleasure to be here live from the new
Graduate Hotel location in Auburn, Alabama and the tired rank
dot com studio. Beautiful hotel. Man, I can't wait to
check out the rest of the room. Like everything was
so boom boom. Where As my dad would say.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Bam, he was like, I went bam, and then it
was boom, boom boom, and then bing bang bang. We
got here boom went upstairs real quick.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Now we're bringing the boom here in the lobby of
the hotel doing Hey, come party with us. We'll be
hanging out tonight in Alabama Covino and Rich. Everything at
Covino and Rich. We still have weekend hobnobbing to get
to next hour shows.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
The shows I got recommend me because I started something
on the plane and I feel like it's got to
be my lead for a little weekend hop not oh yet,
it's all the stuff you got to watch outside the
world of sports too.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Plus we're giving away prizes Sonic worker or NFL player
having fun this Friday. But Rich, before we talk Daniel
Jones and everything else.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Are you ready? Man? Do you mean my big TV
game of the week. Let's do. Let's go. You just
hear my fatop. I got an extra TV the game
game that I will have, Rich's big TV game of
the week.
Speaker 8 (36:33):
It's Rich's big TV game of the week.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Focus Rich. I know there's a lot of beautiful women
in the lobby here.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Listen. What are we doing again? This guy, oh, my
big game TV.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
This guy's big head is on a swivel right.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
Now going live. You know I do this live every week.
Meaning I don't plan ahead.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
I genuinely look at it with you right as if
I'm deciding right now.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
I mean, when do you ever plan ahead? When you
think about it?
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Now?
Speaker 3 (37:03):
There are, like I said, we're at the stage of
the year where there's some bunk games and you're seeing
them being flexed in and out of Thursday night and
Monday night because let's be honest, as games that we
thought might be good and it turns out not so good. Right,
so early games on Sunday Saints Giants, Brown Steelers.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
I'm sorry, I'm in the wrong week, my bad. I
was looking ahead, looking at the hot blonde that walked by.
Shut your short skirt be honest at least hilarious. I
mean honestly right handed. You got real where.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
You know they couldn't hear you.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Bucks, Giants, who cares right Chiefs Panthers, that's gonna be
a blowout. No one cares about that one. Commanders hosting
the Cowboys unless.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
You want to see the Cowboys. Just get even sadder.
Patriots Dolphin.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
There's not a lot of Pickens George style on Sunday.
Titans Texans, no thanks. I think you might have to
say early games Lions at the Cults to the Lions
keep rolling, that's the best game in the early part
of the schedule.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
I just want to see, you know, how many points
they're gonna score, how dominant they look. That's the difference
between the Lions and other contenders this season.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
They seem to be dominant. But you get to see
Anthony Richardson. That could be fun.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
You know, Jonathan Taylor is some good, you know, good
stars to watch. But honestly, the early slate of games
you might go see glad eat or two on Sunday.
It is really like the early games are sot to
weak vikings that bears to see if the Vikings could
keep pace, you know, just behind the Lions there in Chicago.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
Those are your early games as far as late games go.
Not much better. Okay, so you're sticking with the Lions. Yeah,
not much better at all. There's three late games and
it's got.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
To be the Niners that just to see what could
what could be happening here with Brandon Allen to the
forty nine Ers, is he gonna prove that Kyle Shanahan's
offense works for most quarterbacks, Because that's a true test,
right If it does, it's like man's Kyle Shanahan capable
of making anyone look all right. So Niners at Packers,
and some might say Cardinals at dan Byer Steelers, that's
(39:23):
a battle that I'm still trying to figure out who
I want to win as a Niner fan, because someone's
got to lose. I just don't know who I want
to lose more what helps the forty nine Ers.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Let me ask you, Danny g Rich is always gonna
throw his forty nine Ers into the big TV game
of the week, especially with Allen at quarterback.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Does it make it.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
More interesting or less interesting?
Speaker 4 (39:42):
Right?
Speaker 1 (39:43):
Do you care less? Is it the forty nine Ers.
I know it's Rich's big TV, But what's the real
answer here? Forty nine Ers Packers or Cardinals Seahawks.
Speaker 7 (39:49):
Well, after seeing what Buyer Seahawks did last weekend, I'm
curious to see how they're gonna match up with a
better looking Cardinals team.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
But you know, so it's that game.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Take away the Homer side of this, right, and take
away it might be that guy. But then take away
the curiosity of like, could any quarterback plug into Kyle
Shanahan's offense because that's what everyone always says, right, Rock Purty,
Jimmy Garoppolo.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
That makes it interesting. So but and it's your TV,
so you get to choose.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
But I'm thinking that might be Also.
Speaker 7 (40:16):
You get Geno Smith and Kyler Murray. Yeah, which both
guys can go into video game mode at any moment.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Who do you like in that game? By the way,
which one? What is your instinct? Oh, Seahawks? I always
like Seahawks. I'm a damn buyer guy. Oh yeah, that
dam byre Ye.
Speaker 6 (40:34):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
No, it's true, I've always liked Geno Smith.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
It is a true story.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Man. You know, we're from New York.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
We've followed that guy since what twenty thirteen he was
on the Jets thirteen twenty fourteen.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Not to go in a Geno Smith tangent, but Cavino,
what I remember the days when Gino Smith was all
set to be the star of the Jets and he
got punched in the face by a teammate and that
was sort of like derailed his whole career.
Speaker 6 (40:55):
Right, Geno Smith had a heisman by the way for
half of his college football season West Virginia. Then Johnny
Manziel took over.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Oh yeah, so you know, the Gino Smith story is
fun Kyler Murray, Truthfully, I sort of want to see
your team win too.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
I just want to see the Arizona Cardinals fall.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
Apart as a Niners fan, I feel like we have
a better chance to find a way to keep pace
with you guys, because if the Cardinals stay hot, you know,
Dicky Noliki, I do not like that.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
So, hey, what is your big game of the week?
Speaker 3 (41:27):
And then Sunday night again, this is arguably one of
your weaker weeks of the NFL because you got Eagles
at Rams.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
If you pick the Rams can hang in there. They're
five and five, They're not bad.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
I mean, the Niners are five and five, right, they're
hosting the Eagles. This is Philadelphia's chance to sort of
start owning that NFC East.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Well, if you're checked out at some of these later games,
that's why we do weekend hobnobbing.
