Speaker 2 (00:39):
Funny East side story. My wife just texted me. She's like,
are you okay? You go to the liquor store in
the middle of the day. I go, oh, we are
are Apple paythings go to each other's phone and I
got cavino and I have little coffee drinks at the
liquor store as I first needed more caffeine, and my
wife's like, you drinking No, just a coffee? Hey, drinking

(01:02):
rock out celebrating holiday season is here. It's Cavino and
Rich on Fox Sports Radio getting ready for Midweek Major.
We do it every Wednesday. The biggest stories in sports
and pop culture? Are they midweek or major? Spotties on
Standby Danny G's on the phones at eighty seven seven
ninety nine on Fox Iowa, Sam and Bayer hanging out.
Thank you guys for hanging out with us. Now I'm
gonna make it real quick. That's why I told her

(01:23):
mind your business, devil woman. That's right, today's my wedding en.
If you guys share Facebook accounts too, bro, No, you're
credit well you're not married.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I was gonna say my after the wedding Anniustry and
herd Apple Pey.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
So I blame Rich because he had me saying Spotify unwrapped.
It's Spotify rapped, Okay, I'm a big fan. I listen
to all my music there. A lot of people got
their Spotify rapped today. All streaming services provide their own
year in review, that sort of thing. Des Rocks was
my Artist of the Year. I'm a big Des Rocks fan.

(01:56):
I like rock music right, but we're doing our own
version of the Top five Athletes. Top five talked about
stories in tribute to the rap as we wrap up
the year. We'll probably readdress some of this stuff as
the year continues, right closer to the new year. But
because this came out today, these are my top five,

(02:17):
with no interruptions from rich Number five athletes. Number five,
I said, he this count Lebron James. I was gonna
put Judge in here. I took him out, Lebron James.
How noble of you.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Number four Aaron Rodgers. Number three, Number three Travis Kelcey
makes sense.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Uh huh uh huh. Number two show hey Otani fifty
to fifty also a big story. And number one, I
would say, number one Caitlin Clark. Okay, oh come on,
how could she not be dude? She took the world
by storm. So those are my top five athletes, my

(03:05):
top five stories. Now this is your own spotifyer five
wrapped in your mind, right, Like who you talked about
the most?

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, in my opinion, everyone's gonna have
like their own. That's the beauty of the Spotify rapped
or whatever. Right, everybody has their own. Yeah, Like you
might say, oh wow, I didn't realize how much Ed
Sheer and I listened to exactly. But you know what,
before I give you to top stories, Rich, let me
hear your top five athletes. My top five athletes based
on five what I feel that we talked about the
most on the show. Number five Tom Brady between the roast,

(03:38):
the announcing that's just oh TV twelve is shirt off,
the divorce, Justselle's having a baby. There was a million
Tom Brady story. So I think Tom Brady's definitely if
we did have a sports Spotify rapped.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Number four. Number four Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I mean every day I felt like AND's like stopping already.
So number four Aaron Rodgers. Number three Mike tyf between
the fight and cancelation, the fight again, Tyson trivia. He's
always on our mind on this show. We talk a

(04:17):
lot of Mike Tyson. In fact, we have some pretty
cool Mike Tyson news later on in the show. So
we have Mike Tyson at number three, number two, number
two show, Hey Otani, the Battle of Aaron Judge, the
gambling story.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Was he involved? Was he not? The world series?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You have a gambling story and his numbers this year
he might be the number one and number one number
one Travis Kelcey, he was just still everywhere. Travis Kelcey
by far. Number one, you have Kaitlyn Clark on your
I did not because I have Caitlyn Clark. I didn't
kill number zero sex. I didn't care much to talk

(04:58):
about her. Why are you talking about it every day
this summer? Two? You guys did it, and I rolled
my eyes. Okay, So she was googled billions of times.
Now you as far as talked about story, right, because
when you get your Spotify wrapped or there's all different sections, right,
So we're making up our own talked about story. I'm
going with the Brady Roast because it was a big

(05:20):
deal at one point.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Number five.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Number four, I'm going with Juan Soto and where he
ends up and the whole Sodo storyline.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I'm actually throwing him in there still unfolded.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Number three, Taylor and Travis at number three, I know,
roll your eyes, that's the story.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Number two, Sho Hao Tani fifty to fifty. That's what
I had down the fifty to fifty.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Did it outweigh Aaron Judge all the other stuff, but
show heo Tani?

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Number two. Number one.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
The Mike Tyson storyline this year was number one for me,
I'm not putting him as like a top athlete. He
had an exhibition fight. But as far as storyline, it
dragged out, we talked about it leading up to it,
then it got postponed. We dragged it out again and
talked about it, talked about it afterward. It just garnered
so much conversation here on the show. So as far
as talk about story as my number one, but as
far as athlete Jake Paul Tyson, they're not making the

(06:16):
top five for me. But again that's the beauty of it.
It's gonna be different for everybody. That's my top five stories.
Talked about stories Rich, what are your top five? And
again Fox Sports Radio Nation agree, disagree?

Speaker 1 (06:30):
What are we forgetting?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
You know, add to your own, think about your own
Danny g Any thoughts on what you've.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Heard so far. No, I like your storyline so far.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
The one that came to mind for me because here
and there over a couple of weeks, we'll health throughout
the baseball season. In fact, we talked about MLB in
Oakland and sports in Oakland in general.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
That was a big storyline. That was a big storyline
for now.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
My top five number five storylines now again, this is
what I feel in my heart.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
We talked about this is this could be totally wrong.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Remember that the wrapped it's very personalized, so it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Yeah, I mean I feel like ray Gun the Breakdancer.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I'm kidding. That is not that is not on my list.
And you know what missed my list, Travis and Taylor.
I really feel like that was more last year. While
we did touch on it a lot, the whole swear
jar every time we said their name that was twenty
twenty three, it was because it culminated with it culminated
with the super Bowl January.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Start over with the Twoe season period we started the
year with.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Yes, so it's still big, but don't think it's top
five high number five on what I feel like, we
touched on the most father son stuff. Lebron, Bronni Griffy,
Griffy Jr. We talked a lot about Lebron and your
day Jane Big Justice. He said father, That's what I'm saying,
favorite father and son number four. I think number four again,

(07:52):
this is what we talk about on the show. My
fascination with what the Niners need to do with Brock
Party because it goes back to last year, like is
pretty awesome?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Is an elite guy? Honestly, did you bring up the
forty nine ers?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
So I feel like it started with you driving alone
through the desert, shouting, raising your fist at the heavens.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Birdy, I drove home after the super Bowl. All off season,
it's like party, Brudy, so rock party. Definitely Number four
for me.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Number three if I had my own.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Spotify rapped when I think we talked about most on
the show.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Number three.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
When it comes to baseball Otanian Judge, there was a
lot of there's a lot of who's better, who's the MVP.
They're chasing records fifty to fifty Judge. There was a
time of the year where Judge was unstoppable. And remember
the postseason was so exciting for this show in particular too,
because you had Danny.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
G's Dodgers, the Yankees, the Mets.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
It was.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
It was just a great postseason and the only one
that really made it to both my lists.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Number two.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Number two Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, I think we exhausted
the hell out of that more than any other show
on Fox at ESPNCBS.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
We both have that at number no.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
That's number two. For me, Oh, it's number two. I
really think that it was such a story that was
in our wheelhouse of pop culture sports, the reminiscing of
the nostalgia of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul being an
unlikable but yet awesome infuncil couldn't care less about it,
Jay stew and the Goleep Show.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
So your number one is what? Then?

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Number one? Green Bay College Basketball?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
No?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Number one, and number one the Mets Magic Grimace Lindor
for me that I was obsessed for a good month
and a half with the Mets were Grimace as no
dude listen as Jerry Seinfeld was on w f AN
in New York yesterday and Seinfeld, Hey, you know I'm

(09:48):
a Mets fan, and Seinfeld brought up an interesting point.
Short of winning a World Series, the Mets really gave
their fans arguably the most magical season you could give
a fan base within actually agree with that with very
special without winning it all. Without winning it all, the
Mets gave that fan base more to cheer about other

(10:09):
than the championship.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
It really was magical.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
So I forbid you so many amazing like the amazing
Mets moments this year For your team, So I agree
with that, but can we all agree in the room
between Danny g I was Sam Spotty me you, Dan Byer,
what do you think as a show we talked about
the most on Kavene on Wretch. Do you think it
was Aaron Rodgers Do you think it was I wish

(10:31):
we had those, Travis and Taylor? Do you think it
was Mike Tyson?

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Dana Well, Tyson was a big deal on our show,
but also Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Neither of you mentioned I Mahome.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Yeah, he's a staple on the show and a big
storyline for the NFL leading into the season. Caleb Williams, Yeah, we.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Did talk a lot of when you get your Spotify
rapped and by the way, I don't care what streaming
service you use or where you get this from, right,
there's always different little categories. And it was like, You're
longest streak was I listened to Des Rocks ten days
in a row, Sad. Do you think there was a
streak of we talked about Patrick Mahomes for like ten
days straight on every show, Like, I think Tyson would

(11:11):
be on that list for sure, Aaron Judge and show, Hey,
they'd be on that I bet we talked about them
for weeks straight. You know, you know who would have
a great perspective because he works not only you know,
with our show every day, and he's here a lot
of the day, has his own show. Dan byer dB,
you're here every day, you do your own show, a
respected man here at Fox Sports Radio. You hear our

(11:33):
highly respective, you're with Doug Gottlieb. You're all over the
place when you think of Cavino and Wretch for real,
like what silly storyline?

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Do you feel like we exhausted?

Speaker 5 (11:41):
I'm surprised. Do you guys think that you talked about
Tyson as much as he did? I think it's because
it's recent, because the fight had happened. Okay, it's very possible.
I think that your number one topic. If I'm making
it a combo, because I do think it's real. It's
New York Baseball. Not only was it the Mets push,
but it was even before that in April and when
they stunk.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Rich was not happy with him, right, he was quick.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
If you know, you've talked about their bullpen throughout the summer,
and then when you think of the.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Clay Holmes he knows love for Clay Holmes now saying
he might start for the Mets.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
You know, I had the Aaron Judge versus Kaitlyn Clark popularity,
you know, Yeah, that was that was a big one,
you know, and you guys talked about that, but obviously
through the month of October it was New York Baseball,
and so I would say, so, I can't just say
Yankees and Mets because of both of your fandoms and
how far they went, but I would think that would

(12:35):
be number one.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, dB, I think your hottest topic as a host
and as an anchor and everything. You brought that Aaron
Judge Caitlin Clark topic to life that every other show
on the network was talking about that because of you.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
It was almost just by accident, because Jason Stewart made
the comment that when Judge was meeting Kitlyn Clark that
it was a problem for Major League Baseball that Clark
was the more popular player. And I said, hold on
a second, is way more popular, And then the entire.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Channel talked about hold on, hold on, didn't I was SAYM, actually,
uh have an aneurysm turn.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
That conversation I survived somehow, By the way, Rich, I
know why you think Home Alone two is better than
Home Alone one because you guys are so New York City.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, lost in New York, New York Court.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Of course you don't like the Homeless bird lady, I
actually love the pigeon more. Dan Bire makes a great
point to do like because he's there listening to us
BS every day. New York Baseball definitely took up a
lot of the show. But the postseason was great. Like
I don't I don't want to think that we're so
Yankees met, but.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
It was such a great season there was reason to
talk about talk about it. I remember Rich complaining about
April and May and how the Mets were when they
didn't have any expectations and then roller coaster. Yeah, then
everything switched.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
So that's our Covino and Rich. Fox Sports Radio wrapped
It's number two, uh, Danny G's unrealistic greaters expectations looking
pretty good.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Return to the Super Bowl. Number one for me was
Gardner Minshew's most number. Man's so funny.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
So you know, we just want you to think about
yours because there is no stat there's no rapt But
what were your favorite storylines? What do you think it
would say about you what are those stories, what are
those athletes for you?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
You know, let us know.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
And if there's stories you think we're forgetting or your
perspectives different, let us know. At Covenoor and Rich at
Fox Sports Radio. Your f SR rapped spot on your
on your Spotify rapped coulplay, I know is like probably
your top one?

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Right? Yeah? What what was shocking? Uh? A j and
big Justice. We bring the booms stream song this year.
It's a big song. We're bringing a great dance too.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Well.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Hey, your thoughts at Covino and Rich if you want
to chime in, what do you think the biggest sports
story of twenty twenty four was? I jokingly said ray Gun.
But there was like a few There was a few
days where that was funny. Guys were doing touchdown celebrations,
but also everything. You could just group the Olympics together
because it was an Olympic here. There were a lot
of Olympic storylines. That stupid story was one of the pulvolters,

(15:26):
the pole vaulters junk that was that was a huge
vaults poll.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
That was a huge about everybody arguing and debating the
female boxer.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Oh yeah, to sports talker, it was big for like
a week though. That was like the Tyson story that
dragged on and on like some you know, we really
really harm time.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Man, fun to look back and I'm sure we'll do
it again, like I said closer to the new year.
But today is the day that a lot of these
wrap things come out.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Now, there you go.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
We're gonna do midweek major coming up. But can I
give everyone something to do if they want? You know,
you know when you're sitting around on your phone and
your wife or girlfriends on the other couch on her
phone and you're like with each other, but you're sort
of ignoring your sending each other memes from across the couch,
like you know what most couples do every night. It's
up now ESPN. I'll give them props they do that
playoff simulator and starting in week fourteen. You love that,

(16:22):
by the way, Yeah, say this is the top story
a simulator Boys Bag Simulatorulator rap Story number three. H
Sam Rich Davis loves schedule watching right, he does, Yes,
he does.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Rich loves Alphaba. Rich loves to look at the schedule
game to watch it. Schedule.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
He loves alphaba Alphabamulator MS schedule and and and simulators.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
This simulator.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Boy, you know what, the only person that would appreciate
this is Dan Bayer. So you guys call can it
if you go? If you just google, I don't even
know where you would find. Could just google NFL playoff simulator.
It's on ESPN. You could go through each week fourteen fifteen,
sixteen seventeen, click on who you think at eighteen you
could click out who you think is gonna win, and
you could come up with the different scenarios on how

(17:13):
your team could or could not make it. It is
the tiebreakers.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
I we love. I already did it last night, and
I have the forty nine ers going ten and seven.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
To make sure you share results with everybody at the
company holiday party tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I'll go over each week. Yeah, guys, look at my simulator.
Do you hear that? Rich has the forty nine ers
going ten and seven making the play. They're gonna go
five and oh. From this point, everyone.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Gather around, Julie.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Look, they're gonna beat the line. Honestly, they gonna lose
to the lines.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Are gonna go nine and eight and all I need,
based on my simulator, I need the rams to beat
the Cardinals, and Nicardinals will lose a couple more, but
it's really just the Rams losing to the Cardinals, and
the Seahawks need to lose to the Vikings and the Packers. Yeah,
it's gonna work out. Go forty nine ers, all right. Listen,
we got midweek major with Spot coming to max. All

(17:59):

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Said someone yesterday we had one great comment because we
were talking about that golden at bat. Someone goes sounds like,
guys don't watch one baseball game. I'm like, sadly quite
the opposite. Cavino watches one hundred and sixty two.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Y dan Byer said, we talked about that nausea. You
all right, let's do this Midweek Major.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Covino and Rich get you over the middle of the
week where mid Week majorjor oh.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
I love that we.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Throw sports and pop culture headlines and topics at the
fellas and it's like the kids.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Say, that's Summit Week. Definitely leader see in our score.
Midweek Major a good one. Bro, I like it. You
hear the horns. That means you have made it to

(21:55):
the middle of the week.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Before we hand things over to the number one and
only home to the segment, we like to roll the
two big red love dice the main studio to see
who gets first take.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
I thought the horns, me and you do the Donald
Trump dance to it. That's the most popular dance of
twenty twenty five. I'm twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
You got a six? Yeah, I gotta s all right?
So rich rolling? Oh six? Look at that a tie?
All right, it's a rule. Detroll one, you troll one?

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:24):
Six again? Some shows at the craps table with us six?
Oh my gosh, six again? Has never happened? Six again?
Shut up? Wait a numbers? Are these loaded? Dice? What happens?
It's the number of the beasts, the number of the
beast if we go, oh my god, dude, that's the

(22:48):
first time I ever tripple.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
You just couldn't lie and say like, we don't lie. Integrity,
show of integrity. Please all right, and now, ladies and
gentle man.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
The most famous person besides Judy Bloom from Scotch Plains
New Jersey Spotty Boy.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
By the way, on Spotify, rapped number one show for
Judy Blum.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Mentions absolutely fifty two mentions this year. All right, rich
to you. I'll throw this out since it's hot off
the press.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Christian McCaffrey, coming off his seizing and season ending injury. Yeah,
just penned an emotional note to the fans, or at least
on his Instagram earlier today. Yeah, he said, you know,
just to summarize it, this wasn't my year. And sometimes
when it rains it poors, you can feel sorry for
yourself and listen to the birds.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Or you can hold the line.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
He said, he's grateful for the support of everyone in
his corner, promises to work smarter and harder and come
back better from this. So he's letting us, letting the
fans know he plans to work hard in the off
season and get back at it next season.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Midweek er Major, I I got to listen.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
I think it's major, maybe the most explosive offensive player
in the year. Just hey, listen, like you said, when
it rains at poors, sometimes you know he were hard.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
You've seen some of.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
His off season training videos. The guy's a machine and listen.
He's getting older, but he still has guess in the tank.
I think McCaffrey will come back stronger and better. And sometimes,
you know, like you said, sometimes things just don't go
your way.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Great use of cliches. I feel like this you're just
describing a bunch of cliches. I could have agreed more
with you. Spot right there, man. You know what, I
also agree.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
I also agree major because he's Christian, comes around of me, right.
But I think maybe working too hard may have put
him in this position. He works and trains maybe way
too hard than necessary, so that's why you have an
extra wear and tear on the body. And I believe
Colin Cowhart said today he's peaked.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
He has and.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
That doesn't mean he's not gonna be great. But you
think he's going to be better after all.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
These injuries, big dreaming brah.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
And I'm not rooting against the guy, but he's had
a tough season.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
I wish him the best.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
It's a major story, but I don't think he's going
to be better as a result of all this.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
I blame that damn Madden the curse. There you go?
What else? All right, Well, here's a fun one for you.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
So as you know before John Elway became the legendary
quarterback for the Denver Broncos. He had a brief stint
with the Yankees. He played one quick season. I don't
even know it was a full season. We did in
the minor league.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
You say, that's what I'm saying. Let me finish my story.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Rich in nineteen eighty one actually drafted six spots ahead
of Tony Gwynn. Well Tops is commemorating his brief stint
with the Yankees by actually releasing a special edition baseball
card as part of their twenty twenty four Bowman Draft set.
And to announce the edition, this is what makes even
more fun, they enlisted Larry David to reprise his role
as George Steinbrenner. You know they always filmed for the

(25:46):
back of the head, like doing a mock thing of
the nineteen eighty one draft show.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Guy, we need to draft John Olaya. So yeah, that
video is available online. The set is actually out right now.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
It's a two hundred card set, so maybe if you
get enough of them, you can find that John card.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Midweeker major, I think it's mid for collectors, it's major. Listen,
if you watch the docu series The thirty for thirty.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Lway to Marino.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
It is wild to think that Steinbrenner and the Yankees
had Lway slated in the opening day lineup, and then
and Lay would have played baseball had the cults followed
her and said not, we're drafting you. So I think
it's pretty cool Elway to think he could have been
in the starting lineup for the Yankees. The fact that
he did end up winning a couple of Super Bowls
went to five proves that he made the right choice
in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
But pretty cool that Lway will get a baseball card.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
It's it's on the borderline of mid and major. But
since Rich said mid, I'll go major because it's John Elway.
And I think that's one of those forgotten stories, like, man,
this dude.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Was penciled in there with Don Manning. He's starting in.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Right field John Elway. That's insane, Like a lot of
people forget about that. So if a card reminds people
of that, I think that's cool. But what makes it
mid is they're giving cards to anybody. The beehive guy
from Arizona, that was a big story this year. He
got a card. So I mean the fact that John
I always getting what I think he's well deserved and
long overdue, kind of cool, something to look forward to,

(27:07):
Like I says right there, between mid and major, I'll
go major because it's John Elway. By the way athletes
to play multiple sports. I'm always fascinated by. If you
haven't seen the clip footing around social media since Jameis
Winston's like lightening up and you know, playing the way
he's playing. Did you see the clip of him and
Carlos Korea playing with each.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
Other in college?

Speaker 2 (27:26):
And there's one play people are showing where he rifles
a guy out from right field, like you can tell
it's a quarterback arm in right field.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
He had a cannon. Comman, this one's for you, Okay,
you love you love these guys.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Your favorite internet sensation, Big Justice, just beat Bryce Harper,
no other than Bryce Harper in a whole run challenge
hosted by Internet celeb Mister Beast. In the video world,
famous athletes like Carper as well as Christiano Ronaldo and
no allows, We're put against average humans like Big Justice
to win one hundred thousand dollars. So Bryce Harper went

(27:59):
again the eleven year old Big Justice for one hundred
thousand Harper's of course, if he won would go to charity,
Big Justice getting to keep the money since there was
an unfair advantage between the two. Harper had to hit
a home run out of a major league stadium and
mister Beast allowed Big Justice to hit it out of
a little league staium with an aluminum bat. So I know,
at the end of the day, Big Justice got five

(28:20):
home runs, Bryce Harper only got four, so we ended
up winning it. So there's a little asterix on the headline,
but there you go, Midweker Major.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
It's the most major story of the day by far.
It really is.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
And to make it clear, they're the Costco guys that
have gone viral. Big How would you not know? Big Aj'
is the dad. Big Justice is the kid they bring
the boom. And by the way, how old how old
is aj?

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (28:42):
I'm sorry Big Justice eleven? Yeah, he's eleven years old,
So he sold the field boom like.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
His dad, and he hit.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
I think Bryce Harper hit four home runs and he
beat that with finding one hundred thousand dollars, and I
think this completely proves that he's better than Bryce Harper.
So Major, yes, you know what I am impressed. Oh,
it's major, And I'll tell you why. If he was
like thirteen or fourteen and he was on a little
league field one eighty dimensions, I'd be like, come.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
On, But the reality.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Is he's an eleven year old, which he would play
on the little league field. Honestly, if I were the Phillies,
I'd get rid of Harper and definitely get Yeah, that's
probably what should do Big justice. And a related story,
did you see the Tom Brady one where they had
some young high school football player He beat Tom Brady
in target practice and a very similar Mister Beast stunt,
So hey, pretty could beat Tom Brady or Bryce Harper

(29:30):
in anything that's a bragging one.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Yeah, pretty cool. I think mister Beast showing why he's
the number one guy on social media, right, all right,
Travis kellch just hey doing it.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Travis Kelsey opened up about his performance this season on
the latest episode of The New Heights podcast. Addressing his
quote lack of chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, he said,
I'm just not on the same page as Patt.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
It can get frustrating.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
Acknowledge that once he gets in the ends of the
red zone, he gets hungrier, but just can't find his
way to the end zone. He says that they find
a way to win, but they're not playing their best football,
so maybe first step.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Is admitting it. Who knows it's going to come next
Midweek or major.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
This is the weakest thing ever. You're welcome only because
I want to hear about his Taylor's Christmas, because I
can't give you that. No, No, it's a good story
spot week only because the reality is the Chiefs aren't
playing their best football, yet they're still eleven in one,
so it's like, oh God, could the could the Bills
or Ravens or someone do us a favor come January
because no one wants to see a three peat unless

(30:31):
you live in Kansas.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
Jason Kelsey says it's their Tay voodoo that's causing them
to tailor.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Yeah, you know, I think it's a major story.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
They've been playing all these seasons together and they've lost
rhythm and chemistry somehow. I blame the political uh landscape
with the political divide they had throughout the election. I
do I do something something is stirring. If they've lost
chemistry somehow, they've been playing together for years.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
I think that speaks ohings for him to.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Come clean and admit that on a podcast, I think
more than meets the eye there, something's not right.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Since you mentioned the P word politics aside, I'll say
that we all felt a little bit of a loss
after kirkhirb Street lost his beloved dog Ben last month,
who was a gay staple. On the college game Day,
will herb Street shared that he received a personal note
from President Joe Biden sharing his appreciation and compassion over

(31:27):
the loss of Ben. The letter read, I'll sum it up,
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of
your beloved Ben. Ben brought so much comfort and unconditional
love to millions of Americans across our nation. Went on
to say that he hopes Kirk can find comfort and
cherishing the memories he shared, ending with he was a
good boy. So a very sweet little nod from the
President of the United States. Midweeker, major, I think it's lovely.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Major up because Biden, though he wrote the.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Letter, he probably he just signed it that so you know,
let's be honest, I'm gonna say major too. Any acknowledgement
from any president I think think is a major honor,
regardless of your political affiliations an acknowledgement because your dog died.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
That's incredible. Listen, I asked as major as a guest.
I've said this before.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
I hate having to say politics aside, but it would
be an honor to meet any president, whether it's Biden, Trump, Clinton,
you name it to me, meeting the president, you gotta
put politics aside. It's just an honor. And and imagine
your first of all, your your dog died. That's a
horrible situation for anybody, right, but imagine your your your
president acknowledges that. That's a pretty pretty wild that is

(32:33):
that's a major story. And h I did give props
to our buddy Clinton Yates, who we worked with at ESPN. Yeah,
he welcomed the baby, I believe. And he got a
letter from Tim Kaine, politician.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
And he posted. I was like, that's pretty wild.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
The thing like you got to congratulations from a pretty
significant political figure, Mickey.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Mouse and what you reached out to Clinton? Yeah? So
you kissing ass.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Yeah, by the way, congrats to Clinton.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
He's a good dude. I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Yeah, damn, Bayer, what are you doing, buddy? What's going
on news?

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Just in guys, as the NFL is up held the
three game suspension given to Texans linebacker as He's Al
Shire for his hit on Trevor Lawrence this past Sunday.
Ramon Foster was the one former NFL player who heard
the appeal, but that was upheld, so now el Shire
will service three game suspension starting after Week fourteen, as
the Texans have a bye this weekend, so weeks fifteen, sixteen,

(33:28):
and seventeen for el Shire, he will be out of
action he hit Trevor Lawrence last Sunday. Lawrence is not
going to be out of action for the rest of
the season, placed on injured reserve because of that concussion.
Mac Jones now the starter in Jacksonville Baltimore Ravens Today's
suspended wide receiver Deontay Johnson for one game for conduct
detrimental to the team. GM Eric DeCosta said Johnson refused

(33:50):
to go into the game this past Sunday against the Eagles.
He'll miss Baltimore's Week fifteen game against the Giants. Giants
is sticking with Drew Locke as their starting quarterback for
Week fourteen against the Saints. The lines will be without
offensive tackle Taylor Decker for tomorrow's game against the Packers,
Well Green Bay won I have corner jyr Alexander or
wide receiver Romeo Dobbs for the game in Detroit, US,
he had football coach Lincoln Riley committed to staying at USC,

(34:12):
telling reporters quote Tommy USC Trojan, this is the only
place I want to be end quote. USC linebackers coach
Matt Ands is gonna be the new head football coach
at Fresno State, Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold entering the transfer portal,
and Sons forward Kevin Duranto miss at least a week
of action because of an ankle spring.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Guys back to you. Yeah, thanks, dB, have a good night, buddy.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Thanks Dan. We're gonna party tomorrow, bro, Yeah, yeah. Dann
Byer heard he's gonna do keg stands at the Company Park.
Hell yeah, it's gonna be like Craig Olsen at a wedding.
Is gonna be so buzzy. He'd be doing the cabbage
patch on the dance floor.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Can't wait. It's gonna be fun.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Tomorrow the Mexican restaurant this time, get ready for the
finger Takeitha.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Oh yeah, I heard Isaac lowingkron is gonna be playing Mariachi?

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Is that true? Yeah, he's got some Burrow already. I
can't wait.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
I was sam'sy be doing greattoes I listen, we gotta
end the show. The really fun story about Joe Burrough.
So Joe Burrow, Hey, listen, Cincinnati a little down and out,
but Joe Burrow continues to, you know, just be the
guy we always love. So a fun story about Joe Burrow.
We'll talk a little NFL next right here on Fox

Covino and Rich CoV I n O Covino and Rich
on social media. Get this Covino and Rich in real
life guys, Iowa Sam is here. Yep, Danny G with

(36:36):
the old school hip hop because he's an old fool
that's so cool. And speaking of old school, old school
and fifty hits tomorrow we throw it back on a Thursday.
Join us and Spotty. We're all hanging out. Thank you
guys for hanging with us now. Joe Burrow is in
the news today. Well it's Hard Knocks. Hard Knocks is

(36:57):
back and Danny G I got to catch up, but
debuted last night.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
Right, that's good a North, Yeah, And so it shows
they go back and forth to all the different meeting
rooms between the teams and they're gonna play against each
other in the same division, and so you could see
how the coaches are preparing to play against their nemesis.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
You know what I was doing, honestly, I was finishing
wrapping up the John Bennet Ramsey docu series on Netflix,
and I have already, to be honest, I'm trying to
every night the kids finally get to sleep, and I'm
trying to finish Penguin on HBO Max, which is awesome.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
I'm finally up to the last episode.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
But you know when you start something, you dozing off
and you're like, I can't sleep during this.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
It's too good. It's called Edibles richer. Maybe you shoul lay
off them. I haven't taken that. I feel about this.
I'm so tired of haven't had to take it Edible
in weeks, so I feel about the show. Every afternoon.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
By the way, Cove as Mike Tomlin and the Steelers
were getting ready to face Joe Burrow in the Bengals.
They give Burrow so much love they call it the
Joe Burrow plan. It's up on the screen and they
have this whole plan about how Joe Burrow cannot beat them.
They give him so much respect. And then the show
goes into Joe Burrow on the practice field and that's

(38:09):
where this story comes from.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
You're about to die.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
So the Steelers were preparing basically off Joe Burrow, and
that leads to Joe Burrow there and he has a
batmobile on the show. Well, apparently he paid two point
nine million dollars.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
It's on order. He doesn't have it yet. He told
his teammates, well.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
I saw the image, so okay, so I see the image.
I didn't watch it yet. Joe Burrow and people are
talking about it. He pays two point nine million dollars
for the batmobile, and you're like, damn for real. It's
a replica of the Christopher Nolan the Dark Knight Trilogy batmobile,
big tank style. It's legit, And I guess he's a

(38:49):
big fan clearly if he's willing to spend three million
dollars on a batmobile, not the old school sixties one
that Sam's referencing there.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
But it does make you think it's like, man, it
must be good.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
To be Joe Burrow, to just buy whatever the heck
you want and buy the toys that you dreamt of.
It's like buying a DeLorean with all the fixes, just
for the fun of it.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
And here's what's crazy about it is while it does drive,
it's not street legal, so he can't.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Yeah, it doesn't look street legal. Can't drive it around town, right,
can't drive it to games.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
But when you have as much money he does, he can.
We can drive it around his own compound.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Can we play a little game of perspective for a moment?

Speaker 5 (39:28):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Rich.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
Joe Burrow, when all said and done, makes about fifty
sixty million dollars a year. Him spending three million dollars
on a batmobile is like someone that makes one hundred
thousand dollars spending five grand. It's just a toy to
him though, because, like Spot said, you can't take it
on the street. But I remember like someone saying, like,
can you believe Beyonce and jay Z have like a
gold plated toilet or something.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
I'm like, do you know how much money they have? Same?

Speaker 2 (39:53):
I mean, it's Joe Burrow buying a three million dollar
toy is like you buying a five thousand dollars Rolex. Actually,
no that it's like someone that makes one hundred thousand dollars,
mind a five thousand dollars roll Like, what are you saying.
I'm saying it's nothing to Joe Barrow, you're taking your
hand for the homeless. You think communal comto makes more
than a hundred thousand dollars. I'm saying someone that makes it.

(40:14):
I mean someone that makes I'm saying someone that makes
let's say one hundred thousand dollars round number them spending
five percent of their salary on something.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
What's his next purchase kit? What's his Lurian?

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah? No, really, you know that it's pretty cool. You
know the card the Rivian. He has two chips motorcycles.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
You know the Rivian.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
It's like electric, really like a high end got the
kit light in the front. The Rivian has settings for
you can make it Kit or the DeLorean.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Get out of here and kid like night night, yes
night right before.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
My daughter's best friend's parents have a Rivian and like
the guys like, yo, come here, check this out. He
has like November fifth, nineteen fifty dash and in the
back dash Yeah, which you just have a dash in
the second row is the flex capacitor?

Speaker 1 (41:01):
No, it's sweet wow.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
As the outside light up when you go eighty eight?
No outside lights up when you open the doors based
on what season it is. Maybe we'll have to talk
about this tomorrow because it does raise a lot of questions.
It's like if you had endless means, endless limits, endless funds,
what would be that silly purchase for you? And it
does also make you think of is that the ultimate

(41:25):
like car? Would you or would you buy the General
Lee or something like? It does make you think of
the other like cars in Hollywood, Right, I would buy.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
The Scooby Doo Van.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
No, what would you buy if you had to buy
a car?

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Would you buy the eighteen mobile? But what would be.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
The biggest bringing? Right, like your biggest flex. It's like
when David Wells was just like it, I'm wearing the
Babe Ruth hat on the mound like that was so
cool when he did that? Is as far as famous cars, Oh,
you and I should? You and I should come to
work on the two motorcycles from Chips Bigger and Punch.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
Maybe we should. I don't know. So Peewee's bike Pee
Wee's bike be another one. I like that too.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
I would buy Disneyland. That way, my wife could go
as much as she wants without a season pass the
whole park.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
That's pretty I didn't even think that. We'll just we'll
just play your past, We'll play the season pass. You
know what to think about it. We'll talk about it tomorrow.
What would be your crazy purchase? Until that, I'll readA
there at you baby, see you in a promise. Lang
