There's a new docuseries on Netflix.

Simpson not a Jew. But guess who is Hall of

don't get that, then you're dumb.

When I tell you again, I thought we all had
uncovered every little piece of OJ info on all these documentaries.
I'm two episodes in and I'm learning this stuff I
had no clue about. So it's actually worth the while,
sadly informative to the point where you should probably want.

I think that made Rich go hm is another documentary
and the fact that you're still learning things that you
never knew about the OJ try we you.

Know, they take you through the whole car chase, and
they interview the cops that were on the phone with
OJ while we had the gun to his head, and
there's audio that I never heard before with AC and
all that. So it's it's an interesting documentary, So that
made me go.

All right, this made me go hmm, speaking of foosball,
Speaking of football, the big story today is Miles Garrett
is requesting a trade away.

But it did make me say hmm because also over
the weekend, Kevin Durant went public and said, you know,
this whole Ad Luca trade goes to show you that
nobody's safe. You know, when people criticize players in the
movie that they're making protecting themselves in their career and
them either holding out like Pete Alonzo or Jimmy Butler

who's saying he does want to play anymore, and this
and that. You know, when people criticize the moves that
players make, look what the owners are capable of doing
to a player's life.

Which is why I always take this side of play,
when people always take this side of you know, ownership,
I'm like, do you mean the billion dollar owners, because
it's not only superstars. I always feel bad for the
dudes that are like a second year lineman who gets
cut and it's right, that's it, right.

But it made me say hmm because in one breath
you're like, damn, man, that's messed up for Adie and Luca.
They didn't even see that coming. That's what I hope
it works for their benefit. And then on the flip side,
you got Miles Garrett taking control of his career basically saying, yeah,
all right, well I want out now and again we're
gonna dive in deeper in a few minutes.

About that, I got another thing that maybe go hmm,
and not as it you know who won the trade?
You know, was Luca gonna fit in in LA Because
I feel like so much of that's been discussed. What
made me go hmm is when you trace back even
the A D trade, This has been a great progression
of trades. And I was, I was doing the homework

on this myself, and I saw Nick writes all give
him a little props on FS one.

Is that why you brought your trapper keeper.

I'm still I wasn't wondering man, Nick Wright put it
out this out, but I was already on this train
track of little research. When you go back to realize
what the Lakers gave up to get a D, won
a championship with a D bubble or not, I still
give it.

You know, it's still a championship. I always thought it
was a harder victory. I really always looked at it
like that was under the most difficult of circumstance. And
then you take a D and now you trade him
to get Luca.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
I feel like when you originally look at what the
Lakers gave up to get a D, you could say
that that's the progression of what led them to now.
And it's been some good moves to the Lakers' front office,
and I think it makes up for it makes up
for any criticism for drafting Bronni because it's Lebron's kid.
It's not like there were superstars in this year's draft.
It was fine for me.

No, Polanka did absolutely what he had to do in
that situation. I don't think there's any debate whatsoever, because
the Mavericks approached them with this offer, and again you
heard the story as it unfurled, like this started over
a cup of coffee, like.

When someone approaches you with a generational superstar like Luca

think in order to call it a big trade, you
need to have two names that are sort of household names,
because a lot of times it's Superstar for it's a
ton like four picks and this and money, And when
it's like essentially Superstar for Superstar with a couple add ins,

could ball with just about anybody, but there is gonna
be that moment of, well, we got to build this chemistry,

traded Rich for Jonas Knox. So, yeah, Jonas is great
and all, but I don't work with him on a

Do I like him? Do I know he's good? Yeah?
Do I respect him as a broadcaster? Absolutely? I love Jonas,
but I never worked with him every day.

So you have to imagine how the Mavericks feel about Ad,

all great names and they could do the job, but
will it work? And that adjustment period is real and
that makes me.

real quick, like getting caught off guard, and then some
people that hold a little resentment and they're all sour.
How do you know, Like Anthony Davis had can have
two approaches. He could go into Dallas bro hugg Mark

of this organization. Let's go win a title. Or he
could like come in with a sour out of t

because you're disappointed that the Lakers blindsided you with this,

move along to the Lakers. I'll being like, oh yeah,
I'm out of shape and don't play defense he can

both that you got to take that.

I live with that chip on a much lesser level,

that it's actually a tostedo. But like I relate to that,
it's wherever you find motivation. Now here's another question that
makes me say, hmm. When you don't win with your
franchise and you're a superstar like Luca, is it considered
a failure because he did address the fans and he

was like his dream since he was a teenager was
to bring a championship to Dallas. When on the flip
side of things, AD did that with La. So do
you look at like Luca failed them in a way
or no.

That made me say, I mean, he made it to
the NBA Finals and it didn't have a great series.

AD has that on Luca. He won for his city.
Can he win for the new city? Let me let

want this dude to feel any type of way heading

He said, like he's kind of feeling that matchup. I

Another thing, I don't know who lost more followers Selena
Gomez for crying about immigration.

You know, she lost like a million followers.

Did you see the Dallas Mavericks lost seven hundred thousand
followers after trading Luca.

Snoop Dogg lost a lot of followers too. Just throwing
that out there.

But I said Gianni's commented on this. He said, all
the Stars did. Stars reacted? Man Yanna said, I just
love it. I want Luca to the Lakers. I want
Jokic to the Knicks. I want all the European stars
to go to big markets. That's my dream. So he's
saying this is great for the NBA. He's saying, you know,
he's in Milwaukee. Let's be honest. They wanted a chip
with him Milwaukee, the Bucks, small market team. That is

a lot of fun. But he's saying, what would be
great for the NBA is if Luca succeeds in Los
Angeles and what if a guy like jokicch or someone
like that ended up in New York.

How great would that.

Big time, big time move for the Lakers. Again, their
future is set up.

for Miles Garrett, you got to ask yourself, do you

the Angels. He exhausted his time there, and Otani said,

mean one of the greatest Japanese players that he plays

Trout will forever have the reputation of what a great player.

this other thing that he doesn't like a ton of
world series. If you want to take the Mike Trout route,
it sort of lessens your value. Yeah, and your legacy.

loyal to the Angels. But as I've said for years now,
these pros ain't loyal. And that's part of the game.
When you see how owners are still able and capable
of treating their players. You know, say that to Luca

really the question here. Like you see, they were on

I think you got to take a little piece out
of these playbooks and use them in your own life,

we passed by other people that employed us, and we
say to ourselves, you know what, glad we moved on time.

and easy to stay and remain where you are right

that you made a right decision. There's yeah, there's something
honorable there too, and you know, and hold on with

a professional is to win a super Bowl. So if

I play for me. I don't think that the Cleveland
Browns are in any position to win a super Bowl

that that's the progression of what led them to now.
And it's been some good moves to the Lakers' front office,
and I think it makes up for it makes up
for any criticism for drafting Bronni because it's Lebron's kid.
It's not like there were superstars in this year's draft.
It was fine for me.
