Speaker 2 (00:23):
Mostly your thoughts on the Dodgers game yesterday. Less about
the Dodgers, even though it was a great win, Danny
g and a great game. More about show Hayes triumphant return.
We talked about it here on the show. One to
two innings was expected. We're like, well, how many pitches?
Thirty forty pitches? I don't know, But do you feel

(00:45):
like it was a little bit of a letdown for
people that overpaid for tickets and or where you just
impressed to see show Hey back out there. It was
a bit of mixed emotions for me. So cool to
see him clock it out one hundred, one hundred, one
miles per hour. Yeah, but it did seem that he
had no command of his fastball. Maybe that was adrenaline,

(01:06):
maybe that was rust. I don't know, but it seemed
like he didn't have that control, and then he let
up one arn run right, one big single, a nice
single from her eyes. But he was only in for
one inning again, one inning more than we've seen since
twenty twenty three. But if you overpaid for tickets, or it's
just to say you saw that.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Should have been a strikeout when Machado went around, No,
I mean that swing was all the way around.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
That's why I'm glad we're talking about it. And if
you just read the box score that it was Tatis
with that bloop single, right, if you just thow a
box short, that was a weak single and then a
wild pitch and you know, so it was a bloop single.
But it didn't seem like he had the command. Was
it the fact that he hasn't been on the mountain
in a minute, or was it just adrenaline flowing and

(01:53):
he was overthrowing. Well, if you're a casual fan and
you were disappointed, like, wait, we paid all that money,
oh Tani's return. If you expected more than twenty five
thirty pitches in one inning, I almost say shame on you.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
You deserve it.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Because a real Dodger fan, Danny, I'd imagine out here
knew what you were gonna get to be disappointed. You
knew he wasn't even gonna go ninety pitches five innings.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
That was never hit.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
But you were at least hoping for two winnings. Right
if you just go on strikeout, you're sitting all that
game lef front. Yeah, yeah, but you're sitting all this
LA traffic. You're a mansion to get out of the office.
You're getting the kids are going to go see Shore.
You're probably paying double the amount because of show hel
Tani's first time on the mount as a Dodger, and again,

(02:38):
all these things are great and it's gonna end up
being great in the future, but you're at least hoping
for two innings. I felt a bit of a letdown
on a little more than that is there. I know,
I know, very cool, and I know the answer is
one yes, But can you imagine being one of those
fans that you went to the state thinking you'd get

(03:01):
there early, you hit some terrible LA traffic, and you
get in there in the middle of the first and
you're like, what.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I don't feel sorry.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
I don't feel sorry for any of the fans that
just want to brag to people. I was there for this,
and I was the one there for that. Like, either
you're a fan and you could watch it on TV. Okay,
that's great if you can go, But you know what
I'm saying, Covino, like, it's a show off kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You know, Hey, on a sideon you knew what you
were walking into.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
The MLB free game of the Week, And of course
it was blacked out, so I couldn't even watch it
out here in LA, but I saw all the highlights,
you know, I made sure to tune in. I was
watching the box score the game day live. Rich you
have personal friends that made the last minute decision to like, yo,
I guess we're going out.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Do you know how much day overpaid for that? I
think they said easily over a hundo a ticket each.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
So I got to ask yourself, if you're a family
of Ford, that's an extra four hund do you paid?
Was that one inning that maybe maybe a caught, maybe
a missed even still is one inning?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Was it really work? I mean, if you're in pain
that you were one of those.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Type of people that like to be at the event.
If you're the person that's like, y'all, big event, I
gotta be there. I think it is a little la
braggy in a finally to me that I was there
for Otani's pitching debut. I think it was braggy, but
I also think it was awesome for the sport of baseball,
for Otani, for the Dodgers, just to see him back
out there, and just to be reminded of why he

(04:24):
is who he is and how ridiculous he is that
he can just get out there and throw one hundred
and one miles prior, like, this guy's gross. It's like,
get out of my face, you're too good.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
And then tempers flared later in the game when.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Cese hit pahes and it looked like it looked kind
of intentional. I understand why Pahez was upset and sees
was lights out at first he had struck out five
straight Dodgers, and then the bats got to him. Dodgers
rallied and had a big inning against him, and suddenly
he looked up and the score was six to two,
and Cese was doing that little silly smirky does as

(04:56):
he walked off sadly but.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Not bad for him.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Monday Night, Monday Fun Day, Dodgers win six to three.
In Otani's return, you had your NBA OKC stepping up again,
breaking that streak went into in a row because it
was back and forth, back and forth. They won too
in a row one twenty one oh nine. Haliburton gets
hurt and you're like, oh, no, I don't know about that.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah, that that could be the beginning of the end
of that.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Now now it just seems like soone exciting yeah Monday night,
but still some question marks, like, hey, was it worth
all that hustle and bustle to get to the stadium,
that extra flow to see one inning even though we
knew it was a seven o'clock local time start, so
it wasn't like one of those five PM games where

(05:43):
you really are up against it trying to get to
the stadium. I was hoping he at least went two winnings,
though Sam, I really was, And again I know from
a player perspective, like or baseball perspective, you don't want
to push him. You don't want to push it, and
that's what we expected. But I was hoping for the
at least to Dodgers MO though, to be very cautious
with their pictures because the people upstairs are look at analytics.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
And yeah, it worked out really well over the years.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I was hoping he lit him up though if it
was one inning, I wanted some gas, like three strikeouts,
immaculate inning.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
But one thing the announcers pointed out was how cool
it was that show Hey walks off the mound, goes
and gears up to lead off in the batter's box,
and he said, They said he didn't say a word
to anyone, not a coach, not a teammate, nothing. He
just went about his business and went up to bat.
And I was like that, that is kind of cool
that you step off the mound and then you go
grab your baseball.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Bat or I don't know the National League until a
couple of years ago, you Yankees show Hey, though it's different.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yeah, but they had a lot of those pictures rich
were almost sure strikeouts.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, no doubt they had expectations. Do you think he
even sweats that a little bit? Meaning, here's a guy
who shines under the bright lights, he steps up, he
has cameras up his nose everywhere he goes. You think
he feels a little bit of nerves going out there
in this sort of moment.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I think he does and I think he does. Stop it, dude,
he hasn't pitched since twenty twenty three August twenty three.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Now, after seeing that last night, I think the bigger
question to wrap this up as we move forward, we're,
you know, less than a.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Month until the All Star break.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
We're seeing how the NL and AL are unfolding, Dodgers
where you thought they'd be. Is Shohatani part of the
postseason starting rotation or is he a weapon out of
the pen? Did maybe you make him a closer down
the stretch of your bullpen starts to falter like I
thought that was the plan, Like he wants to start,
there's no bullpen action, there's no relief pitcher.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
He doesn't want anything.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
So you're saying fast forward to October Baseball, Dodgers, Padres, Dodgers, Mets, Dodgers, Cubs,
Phillies like Big Series.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Would we say yesterday? Oh TONI on the hill. Life's
a risk.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Are now you're taking that risk and that's why you
paid him the big bucks to do exactly that, And
that's what he wants to do. So forget about what
he wants to do, what they're paying him to do.
So I know you want his bat in the lineup,
but you're also getting him on the mound. That's what
I think anyway, Danny G. That seems to be where
it's headed, right. Otherwise, why is he starting now?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
If he's healthy, he's gonna be in the starting rotation.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
And the cool thing is I mean maybe you spread
him out in the meantime to keep him healthy, of course,
but I think the cool thing is Cavino we forget,
not that we I mean I didn't, but maybe the
casual fan forgets. When they went to the Universal DH
a National League or American League team could there was
never a rule that you don't that you can't hit

(08:35):
your pitcher. It's just no one would ever opt for
their pitcher to hit. So you have real flexibility with
shoe he Atani meaning Danny G middle of the game.
He could come in the third inning and start pitching
and no problem, meaning there's no limitations. You will never
have to take sho ha a Tani out of the lineup,
whether you start him middle, relief, close or anything. He

(08:58):
will always be a bat in your nine in the lineup.
So there's no old school National League like, well, if
you pull him out, no, he is he's hitting no
matter what, and the new rules really favor a guy
like Otani where you could do whatever you want with him.
Could you know you want to get out of a
jam in the fourth inning, you could bring on Otani
for like a batter and then right back to d

(09:18):
H and no no difference.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
What's up, Dan Bayer? Yeah, that is the funny thing.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
It's sound like you have to put him at first
base then then move the first basement out to bring
in your pitcher. It makes it very very easy box
score DH dash pit you know, Dash pitcher.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
It's amazing. So he's Tani is amazing last night.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Again, my criticism comes from I just want more. I
just wanted to see more. But we'll get there. I
get it's the process. But for the people that paid extra,
I do wonder how they felt about it. And you're
probably going there for the brag, like you said, So
it'll tend to have that new cocktail, that big frozen
blue bowl of.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Jungle juice whatever.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
It is, and that frozen bat that there is in
bat of goodness. So your thoughts chime in at Covino
and Rich at Fox Sports Radio, and of course dandyg
is always on standby at eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox. That's our number eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox. You plan on having any frozen cocktails during
our broadcast on Friday.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
As we do it live from the Pool Circa.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
I've backed off on frozen cocktails only cause I just
sounds lame, I know, But like, who needs the added calgary?

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Oh gee, I don't know what this sugar gives you? Headaches?

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Yeah, like slurpees in vodka. I don't need that RSVPs.
We got five hundred plus people, you know, coming out
to see us, but don't buy Covino Miami Vice. I
don't want to lava flow. I want a vodka soda
or or an old fashioned like a real man. I
just don't need the slurpees anymore. I'm not a little

(10:52):
young baby boy anymore. I'm all grown up.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Now.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Let's talk cry babies in sports. Yeah, I want to
set this up. There's a recent story, but there's another
story that's in the headlines, and that's Rafael Devers. You know,
the Red Sox dishdum for a bunch of Nobody's a
bunch of prospects from the San Francisco Giants. So he's
now a San Francisco Giant because he refused to play
first base. That's really what it comes down to. They're saying,

(11:18):
the minute he said no, can do, I can't.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Go for that.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
No, no, the minute he said no can do, they're like,
all right, you're not willing to do what I don't know.
Players like Mookie Betts are willing to do. Play where
we need you play like a team. Then a mental note, yep,
Rafael Devers doesn't want to play it, says it's not.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Good for him.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
We get all that they dish them, and now he's
going to be playing DH and third, his natural position
for the Giants. The thing was, he said he wasn't
comfortable playing first base. But he also through the management,
the coaching staff under the bus, saying, look, they told
me I was going to be DH. You got Bregman,

(12:05):
you kick me out a third, I'm the DH. Now
you want to put me at first?

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Yo?

Speaker 2 (12:10):
You guys playing poorly. I told you I didn't want
to play first. I don't play first. He refused to
play first. Doesn't it make you respect a rod a
little more when you look back at how he's so
badly wanted to be a Yankee, even though you guys
in the fans sort of treated him like a chump.
He wanted to be a Yankee so bad that he's like,
I'll play third base, Derek Jeter, you got short stuff.

(12:31):
It makes you look back and say, did people not
give a Rod who was a bigger star than Jeter
at the time. I don't think he got enough credit.
He's a really your star. But you know that Jeter
owned that team and he owned New York, so I
don't think he had much of a choice. But I
do give him credit. You're right, and maybe he doesn't
get enough credit for that. And I think he wanted
that ring. He knew that was his chance to win.

(12:52):
You know what, I call it the softball theory. When
you're playing rex sports, softball, pick up basketball, you name it.
If you're the new guy, right, or anything for that matter.
If you say, hey, where do you play?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Where can we use you? You know what?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
The answer always is, wherever you man, wherever you need me.
Nothing is more irolly than when some new kid that's
playing on a team is like, I play shortstop and
I got third Yeah, I only play short I.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Mean, it's a bad look for rex sports, So you.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Don't nobody could use my bad You don't think it's
even a worse look in pro sports when you're actually
playing for something of significant significance. We're playing for a
World Series or an NBA title or a Super Bowl
or anything. You don't think the answer always should be
wherever you need me, well, let me plant this nugget,
because I want you to look at it from a
different perspective, or at least try, or maybe you're not

(13:44):
gonna see it or agree at all. But my first
instinct was, well, my first instinct was, what a cry
baby Raphael Devers is? You're gonna say, You're gonna say WEENI,
it's Weenie play first base. You're a baseball player, You're part.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Of the team. They need you at first.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Then when they dished them, my first thought was good,
because he's a Yankee killer. He has over thirty home
runs against the Yankees in his career, the highest amongst
active players. But then I heard Joe Girardi talking about
it rich and it made me think a little differently,
and I just want to share that with you. Joe Girardi,
former Yankees manager and now broadcaster, analyst. So he's talking
about it and he goes, you know, it's very common,

(14:31):
very common for players to refuse a manager's request, he said,
but the difference here was that it was made public,
and that's where the problem is. He goes, as a
former manager, I have plenty of experience in going up
to players and saying, hey, I need you to do X,
Y and Z or play this position, and oftentimes they

(14:52):
have told me I'm not comfortable doing that. And if
it's such a common thing, why are we so hard
on Rafael Devors? And then he goes on to explain
this too. It's a very common misconception that anyone could
just get out there to first base and play like, hey, hey,
fat guy, this is on first break. This isn't little

(15:16):
league or wreck softball where it's like the tall guy,
lefty or fat guy could just play first.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Now that's easy.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
That's not it's major league base This is coming from
Joe Girardi. Okay, former manager, So he's sort of letting
you in on the secrets. He goes, this happens, but
I'm not going to call out my player because they
told me in confidence that they weren't comfortable I'm not
going to put them somewhere where they're going to fail
or feel uncomfortable. That's going to be detrimental to them,

(15:41):
their career and the team.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
He goes. And this story went public, and that's really
the difference. He goes.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
But what he said in his request is no different
than what happens all the time. And he said, the
biggest misconception is that first base is easy, get out
there and play, he goes. It's not easy. It's not
an e position to learn. And when you think about it,
aside from catching, I would say that first base is

(16:08):
your second skill position. You have to learn how to
how to position yourself and cover the bag. You have
to learn how to scoop the ball, you have to
have a special glove, like there's certain things that go
along with So to expect Traffield Evers to just get
out there and play when he's never played before is
kind of understandable, especially.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
From a veteran.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
And and I was gonna say leader of the team,
but he didn't act like a leader in this moment.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
But he's a guy who delivers. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
I mean, Kevino makes the point in that, for all
we know, pick any other star on a team for all,
you know Bryce Harper or lindor.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
You know Aaron Judge.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
They might have been like, yo, Judge, how do you
feel about you know, playing first base or dat? Or
he might have said yeah, coach for real, like feeling
I know, I'm not comfortable there, and like, okay, so
we're not going to put you there. But this became
such a thing where it's like, no, but we need
you there. Because they again poor planning, which he called
them out on, they had no choice but to try

(17:05):
to get him there. So the moment they were able
to dish him, they did. So is he right or wrong?
When you listen to both sides? Is he a cry baby?
Or did he have a point? This is the major leagues,
this is his career. Do you want to put somewhere
where you're not gonna shine your brightest and and have
that potential to fail and all of a sudden everyone's

(17:26):
thinking you suck when meanwhile, hey, I'm not a first baseman.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
I'm saying, look at us.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
There is the sentiment that you said that everyone that's
a fan loves to lead with they're getting paid millions,
But that doesn't necessarily mean that's what's best for you,
your future, the team, everything.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Just give me.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Someone pays you millions, Like if you got cant reputation,
if you got a contract here at Fox and it
was for a really nice amount of money, they like,
you have a cavino. What we want you to do
is before every show, you got to just pop on
Instagram Live.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
And start dancing. Now think about this, So hold on,
think about this, guys.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
I want every want to think about it because we're
real quick and I look, I can't stand Raphael Evers
because he's a Yankee killer, but I do understand that
everybody has strengths and weaknesses. This guy wanted to lean
into his strengths and not expose himself as an unqualified,
unskilled first baseman, something he wasn't comfortable with, so he
spoke out, and it makes him look weak. If management

(18:24):
did come up to me and said, hey, I need
you to dance because there's new trends on TikTok and
we think that'd be great for our social media pages,
I'm like, yo, man, I'm not that comfortable being your
social media clown like that. That's not who I am.
That's not my persona. I'm not good at that. Maybe
rich is good at that, but I'm not good at that.

(18:45):
So you're asking me to do something I'm not comfortable with.
So is he wrong? Is he a cry baby or not?
Because we have another cry baby crybaby story in the news.
And by the way, you would not dance on social media,
you know what, I'm rich because that's not my strength.
The difference, though Kuvino, would be if my strength is
is doing what we do here on the air. If
the boss then said, yeah, I get a Covino that's

(19:06):
not you, versus then went out and said, can you
believe Cavino won't be a team player and dance?

Speaker 1 (19:12):
And that's what happened. One what happened.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
And when Joe Girardi's saying that happens all the time,
it just doesn't go public because he wants to protect
his players and vice versa. Doesn't that make you think
a little bit. I mean, it's coming from Gerardi. He
has a little experience here. Even on the simplest term.
Sometimes we're asked, are you guys willing to do this
commercial read? I'm always like, yeah, sure, cool, But imagine

(19:34):
there was a host. It's like, I don't want to
do that one and then the boss made a deal
about it. There's not it's not always a yes, yeah,
so's not. Sometimes they'll throw things my way. I'm like, yeah,
I don't feel comfortable doing that.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
I don't. So why do we expect?

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Why do we have this misconception I'm Steve Cavino for
butt creem. We have a misconception that just because he's
a fat guy Raphael Devers, yeah, or he's not that spelt,
let's put it that way, that he should go out
there and he's scooping him up like he's marked to chera.
It's a skilled position. How to straddle the bag is

(20:12):
another thing. How to position yourself, how to stretch. He
wasn't willing to do it. But guess what, He's not
the only cry baby quote unquote cry baby in sports.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
There's another story. We're going to get to it.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Yeah, a story in the NFL. And it's the reason
why a star player said, you know, I'm done.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Get on Cavino. That is rich Danny g is here.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
We're playing quote me later on, Sam has his Is
that a turtle shirt?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
It's in the vein, but it's actually for a tire
shop in my hometown.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
We'll get that.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I thought you were a fan of the porn. Did
you ever see the porn version? No, I did not,
Rich has and of course Dan Byer, you've ever seen it?
What is it called again? Ten inch mutant? There's a
version of it. I was not expecting that question. What
if our listeners sent it to us. Watson like, what
is this? Whoa watch the O'Neill. We're going to talk

(21:10):
about cry babies and our sports are continuing this conversation.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Raphael Devers was traded.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
From the Red Sox to the Giants in exchange for
Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison, James Tibbs.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
And some cracker ja.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Yeah, and I'm help prospects no one of significance because
the Red Sox are like, dude, you're a cry baby
and we want you to be a team player. But
Joe Girardi made me think differently. He said that there's
a misconception that anyone could get out there and play
first base at a major league level, and that players
often came to him to express that they're not comfortable

(21:47):
doing certain things, so it's not out of the norm,
and it made me double think. So your thoughts on that. However,
there is an update on the Dever story, because I
don't know if you saw this. As of today, Craig Breslow,
a Red Sox executive, has been getting all sorts of
threats from making this deal, and he's trying to put

(22:09):
the fires out saying no, we're confident this is all
going to work out in the future. Because, whether you
like Devers or not, he produced for the Red Sox.
Move over Nico Harrison. Yeah, am I right? An angry
fan released his address publicly. Yeah, so it's not been
taken kindly. The Red Sox got rid of Babe Ruth,

(22:29):
they got rid of no Mob, No Mob, no bets,
and now Rafael Devers. Again, this guy is a slugger.
He just didn't want to play first and it rubbed
people the wrong way. So your thoughts when you really
think about it, and when you put yourself in his cleats,
do you want to do things you're.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Not comfortable with?

Speaker 2 (22:48):
I thought of this before we get to the other
story about the NFL.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
This is not just sports. If you got hired for
a job, and.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
By the way, he was a big dog, that's like
you think big dog's here at at Fox Sports, right,
you think they would all of a sudden want to
do the overnight shift because they needed them to.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
They'd be like, Yo, I've been here hitting home runs forever.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Colin, you're gonna be on at ten pm every night?
You think, well, we need your Colin, we're short on stage.
You think you'd be like, well, sure, I think I
have something to say about it. Guess who's not on
it that hour?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Stars like Marie. It's a star.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
So I'm just trying to look, like I said, I'm
not in a business of defending this guy.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
I hate him, but.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
I do see a little bit of his side when
you think about it from that perspective.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Well, then again, there are people that do roll with
the punches. Danny J.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
You're you're big, You're a big hip hop guy, you're
a big music guy. Does it stun you sometimes when
sometimes there's such a good thing going on a rock band,
a hip hop group, and there's like creative differences, and
you're like, oh man, you got something so good you
can't just get along and roll with it.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Some people have a.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Harder time rolling with the punches, Like you might argue, yo,
Raphael Devers.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
You couldn't roll with the punches. You couldn't.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
You couldn't. Just you know, welcome the new guy. We
got another superstar in the lineup for you. Some people
just are like, no, I'm not going to play their base.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
That's what I do. That's what I do.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I win told And now there's another crime baby in
the world of sports. Well, it happened a year ago,
but we finally got to the bottom of this. He
was a pro bowler for your Raiders, Danny g But again,
tight end.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Keep that in mind. Darren Walla one of.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
My favorite players on the Raiders at the time. Unfortunately
he ran into a lot of injuries. Yeah, you know,
for a minute, I also got sidetracked with a hip
hop career. Speaking of hip hop, if you could call
it a career.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
My mom's a Raiders fan like you, and I remember
her being like, I love Darren Waller. Great dude and
really really good tight end.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
But he he was from the practice squad in Baltimore,
and Gruden helped him elevate all the way up to
one of the best tight ends in the country.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
You know, brock Barers made you forget about that guy.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
But but the story came out when he got traded
to the Raiders. There was a reason why he ended
up retiring to.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Take to the Giants.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
You mean, so what I say he got traded to
the trader to the Giants, That's what I meant.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
We were running like this counter lead running play and
I'm kind of like leading through the hole like I'm
a full back and the play is working.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
But I sit down on.

Speaker 5 (25:20):
The sideline after like a drive where he ran like
three times, and I'm like, what am I doing with
my life? I'm not here playing fullback. I don't even
want to do this anymore. And I'm just like looking
at the moon. It's like early first quarter or second quarter.
Nobody else would really even know that I'm thinking this,
but I'm alost alling, like, yep, I'm going to finish
this year the best of my ability, but I'm definitely
done playing after this year.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
So that's Darren Waller again, who decided to retire after
the Giants made him play full back against the Bills.
So again another guy resistant to play a different position,
tight end. He had experience as a tight end, But
then again, when you grow up and you're a professional,
you probably have experience all over the place, right, but again,

(25:58):
at a professional level, it could be a big ask.
So cry baby, you're not based on the whole Devers
story refusing to play first, obviously he was bitter about Bregman.
You got Darren Waller now admitting why he decided to retire.
How do you feel about it? Are these cry babies
in sports? Or do you see their side? We made

(26:20):
a case. I think we made a case from both
sides of it, like your inability to roll with the
punches on a highest level of what you do versus Hey, listen,
if you're a big star, you might say, well, guess
who doesn't have to roll with the punches? The big star?
Should Rafael Devers the best player on the Red Sox
before they get Bregman?

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Should the best player have to quote roll with the punches.
That's what I'm saying. So there are just two sides.
There's two sides to the story.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
We real quick to see one that was sort of
the point, And I got a credit again Joe Girardi
for making me at least see it in a different way.
But I think it depends who you are. But then again,
there's always the mookie Bets of the world. That just
they're just awesome at everything. Yeah, and they just excel
everywhere they go. But you know what, not everybody's like

(27:06):
Mookie Bets. That's the other thing. Not everybody's good at that.
Not everybody's as versatile as Mookie Bets does it makes
them great. Let's go to Mitch in New Jersey. Mitchie,
you looking at.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
It as cry babies or listen.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
I'm a big star player. I don't want to play
just anywhere.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
You tell me, oh, well, how you guys doing?

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Good man? What's up weekend?

Speaker 6 (27:30):
But dogs, I traded him because months he's okay. But
he's doing tail him as clear as you would get
Josh l But I think he does that right. The
age is pretty born first base. You know you're not
get that much action and activity the age that the
thurp is our core and he should get some lee
weight always other starts get good presidence.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
And you know, Mitch just made me think of you
know what you just Mitch just all I said that
I needed to hear. Was I heard hot corner corner.
When you play an infield position and you've honed your
abilities to be like you know, I'm an infielder. Man,
if your team that you signed a big deal with
is like, yeah, that's not you anymore. Is he pretty

(28:13):
much saying like, yeah, that's not me anymore, you know
what I'm saying?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Or no, not really? All right?

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Heat his mind is I'm a left side of the
infield guy. I'm I can handle that hop. I'm a
I got the hot corner. It's a very.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Reaction position.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
And now you're telling them, yeah, like you're as long
as you're with this organization, Yeah, that's not you anymore.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
You're a DH You're gonna play first base. I want
to do that.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Like that's sort of an adjustment that would be, Hey,
guess what, you know what you're you're making exceptions for
Shohio Tani? No one really what do you really want
to pitch and take that risk? Yeah, I know you're
paying him a lot of money. But it's also him saying, no,
I'm a pitcher and this is what I want to do.
So they're like, okay, whenever you say show Hey, you know, dude,
Devers is a big star in Boston.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I don't know about Waller. Do you think that with
the Giants.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
It was them stepping on his toes or should he
have I think he wasn't what he was a big
star with the Giants at the time. This was twenty
twenty three, his eighth year in the league.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
Yeah, he was about a year and a half removed
from Pro Bowl form at that time.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Right, I had with some injuries, you know, Kmino. I
had one more analogy because I'm gonna I think that
was almost the reality check of like, oh, I guess
I'm not the superstar tight end that I once was.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
They got me here a full back.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
It was like a realization he had in that moment too,
I guess I should retire. I'm gonna beat this horse
to death with one ten second analogy. Then we'll go
to Dan Buyer for an update. You've been playing rock
music from the early two thousands on k Rock in
New York and outside of Fox Sports Radio. You are
Turbo octane OSSI's boneyard. You're a rock guy outside of sports.
You love rock. Yeah, what a serious XM your side Hull.

(30:00):
So I was like, yeah, coming, No, that's great, We're.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Putting you on Prime Country. It's a great example.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
I'd be like, look, respectfully, yess not what I do
I'm not comfortable doing it. You want to be a
team player, Tom hop along, Cavino, hop along Stevie. I
would say, I'm true that you and Micro runs his
place are driving to Vegas together.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
That is correct?

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Oh yeahm is that not gonna be live stream the
whole time? I can't wait, so thanks, gonna be party fun.
It's gonna be lots of fun. Damn by, can I
pay you to be in that car? Or no way,
you couldn't pay me enough. Torture Bigod's control the radio, Dan, Mike,
Dan would have to ride in the truck beds.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
We're taking Mike's.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Truck sham that it's not correct. I would just not
produce the third most amount of chestnuts in the United States.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
There'll be some real heated discussions for sure.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Wright, Down, Cavino, and Rich are live from the Fox
Sports Radio studio, and it's time for our tire rack.
Play of the day, All Eyes ron O'tani's arm.

Speaker 7 (31:04):
Last night, Otani's twenty eighth pitch a one one to
Bogart's but chopper to the left side. Munths He charging
along the line in the glove, throws on the run,
Freeman stretches in time to.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Get him and so that will strand arise.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
But the Padres do get one, although Manny Bachado sacrifice
why following the back to back singles to Greek show
Hey Otani in his Dodger pitching debut in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Just cool to see him back on the hill this time,
obviously for the first time with the Dodgers. He did
his part with his bat though Dodgers beat up on
the pod six' three courtesy of and five Seventy Dodgers Audio.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Network and that's Our tirac play of the.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Day everything At covino And Rich and to wrap up
our first, Hour Darren waller decided to retire after The
New York Football giants made him play full back against The.
Bills he was a tight. End he's, like what AM
i doing playing full? Back and it sort of ties
Into Raphael dever, Saying, Yeo i'm a, veteran the star

(32:07):
of the, team and you're asking me to play first.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
BASE i don't want.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
To and because Of la, resistants when player, retires this
guy gets traded and today they introduce him as A
San Francisco. Giant but you know your thoughts on people saying,
No i'm not comfortable with, this the change of, scenery
the change of. Position, well what have we learned over

(32:31):
the cry baby you're not everything you say yes to
means you're saying no to something. Else so by saying
yes to, that he's saying no to doing what he really,
wants and that's play. Infield, bruno real, quick you got thirty.
Seconds what's, Up brooklyn, Boys.

Speaker 6 (32:46):
I'll make it. Fast, hey, LISTEN i JUST i NEVER
i rarely sided with the, player BUT i got to say.
Tough toughest position of the hottest position besides the catcher
on that, field that's he's the most action is first,
base and if you're not comfortable, there it's not. Good
AND i think he was, okay not wanting to do,
it but because of the value of a player he,
is they should have made some sort of amends for

(33:06):
him to move off on to you, know a different,
position or keep this car. Position but outside with him like, that,
man he.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Meant a lot to the, fans to the, team And
i'm glad as The yankees fan that he's.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Gone.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Danny don't look now the team two games behind The
dodgers in THE Nl west now Got Rafael devers in that,
lineup so the giants looking a lot. BETTER i had

Fashion What i'm, saying freeze your. MIXERS i know certain
alcohols can't be, frozen but freeze your. Mixers so instead

(34:29):
of having a water down, Drink like someone, said ice
tea should never be watered, down just put an ice
cube tray full of ice. Tea wait, then, okay so
or you can.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Do lemonade and slowly make An arnold, balm because.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
If you're you can't freeze an individual, drink because, no
you're missing. It what IF i poured you a glass
of iced tea AND i threw two lemonade ice cubes in,
there but they're not.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Water it's it's. Lemonade it's just not watering down the.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Prize it's not going to fill up the glo ass
when it, melts and you're not gonna get any liquid
out of it for like half an. Hour you can
do it on the hot, sun do lemonade. Shots it
doesn't make Any that doesn't make. Sense i'm just, saying
why not make ice cubes instead of? Water you know,
What richards lots of great.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Hacks i'm not sure if to ask one of, THEM
i will screw. You.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Fine you, know you KNOW i go back and trying
words a good.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Hack now you alays a good gene hack, man find
us a good? Hack? Well CAN i CAN i tell
you something? ELSE i wanted to point.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Out you said it's summertime and so many people are
going to their kids baseball, game summertime, activities summertime, activities summertime.
Activities you go to the, beach you're at the, park
and what do you see the guy going around with
little ice cream truck with his little bell he'll be
pushing on the cart or the actual ice cream. Man
is it about time that if someone doesn't Have, zell

(35:53):
you forgot the fruit guy out here on the west,
side or of course the fruit with the. Taheen oh,
yeah they call Me Tahino. Covino if you don't have
the ability to pay By, Zell venmo Or apple pay or, tap,
like do you realize how much.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Money you leave it on the?

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Table like like if you bump into someone selling ice
cream at the beach or at the park without those?
Options is that the worst business person of all time
told you IF i was a homo or IF i
was a, Stripper i'd have A qr code tattooed on my.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Ass oh that was another.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Idea see that was the hack with the hack was
if you're a, stripper you should have A qr code
on your inner. Thigh take your right to My venmo
make it. Easy so, anyway RICH i think you always a.
Hack after, that you, KNOW i don't think of on
for next. Time and let's talk spectacles here on the.
Show WHEN i say, Spectacles i'll say it, again not

(36:43):
Talking Chris, Sabo who's still my standard answer since the
Little league of guys that wear glasses in sports and,
BASEBALL i Thought Kurt rambis would be high on that
list of you, KNOW i can't think of any who
would be a current day.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
ANSWER a current DAY i think every time The. CALVY
i think at this point.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Everyone wears some type of contact lens or you wouldn't
even know if they were.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Glass is there a current athlete that wears glasses or
goggles prescription.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
GOGGLES i can't think of anybody man a generation without
a four eyes.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Player it's a shame they.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Get All i'm sure there's reasons for moving away from
them because they get all steamed.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Up Horus, grant you have to go.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
BACK i can't think of. Anybody so WHEN i say,
SPECTACLES i Mean Jake paul type of events like silly
sporting events now Rich if you really think about, it
there's like huge opportunity.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Here even as a.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
BROADCASTER i don't really want to think about it because
you want to think about ice. Cubes, no but THERE'S
i Mean sam sort of shot you down if you
really want to be. Honest sam was, like you know,
WHAT i don't like this. Idea i'll find another hack to.
Work sam was, like, No in other, words you know,
what NOW i think about, It now that's. Dumb if
you were into cover, sports you might want to look
into the avenue of banana ball And Jake paul. FIGHTS i,

(38:06):
mean we talk about this stuff because we don't take
ourselves that. Serious we have. Fun sports is. Fun but
you're really starting to see a. Trend you're starting to
see a movement of where sports is headed because there's
room for. Both and WHEN i say, those room for
both meaning there's room for sports that matter and sports
that are really just there for. Fun the spectacle that

(38:27):
we're talking, about because today The Tyreek hill race was.
Canceled Noles olympic gold medal winner Sprinter Noah lliles was
supposed to Race Tyreek, hill but No alliles canceled.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Them it's going to be the highlight of our.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Summer, yeah but, seriously there's some fun in that and
it's not even high profile memes like. That we talked
about this last year when they planned. It, remember, Yeah
noelliles And Tyreek hill canceled the. Race but just this past,
weekend he's a social media, influencer but he sort of went.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Viral remember that.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Guy asked In hall his morning, Routine morning routine, Guy
morning routine. Guy, yeah banana peals on his face and
he race. Face a very popular streamer by the name
OF Ice Show. Speed but, dude you would, say, well
that's sort of. Dumb who cares about those? Guys that
was everywhere over the. Weekend Ashton hall, lost he, fell

(39:22):
and THIS I Show speed streamer guy sort of smoked.
Him but it got so, popular got so viral that
Even Tyreek hill went viral talking about, it, saying you,
know they both look slow to. Me i'll smoke both
of these. Guys and then we start getting. Intrigued and
then what else happened over the? Weekend The Big three
fight Between Lance stevenson And Dwight. Howard you, know, dude

(39:44):
that looked like a, serious heated. Matchup did you See
Michael beasley in the face Of Dwight? Howard, dude that was.
Intense so of course we care about what's going on
in THE nba and, finals but.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
There's still room For Big. Three there's still room for.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
This how about That Lance Stevenson beasley one on one
tournament that happened a pay per view event just two weeks.
Ago they've got a lot of social media. Coverage you're
talking to, me, yeah you're talking to.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Me.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Yeah BUT i think a lot of, people As Rob
parker would, say pooh pooh with these, things when, honestly
there's a giant market for this, stuff AND i feel
like you're sleeping on it because there's a lot of
people in the world of social media and younger people
that really like and enjoy this stuff because it's not that.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Serious buddy, Boy i've.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Been on since the days Of mayweather, McGregor since we
have kids and it was what is, it The battle
of the network. Stars i've always loved the, spectacle the,
spectacle and you, know you could have called me immature for,
it or you like real, Sports. Danny i've always felt
like these things are. Entertaining they never replace keep this,
mind they never replace real sports for. Me BUT i

(40:52):
don't see why you wouldn't find interest In Tyreek. HILL
i think racing a gold medalist because in my mind
that's fun as. Well, OH i think real Sports Ryan gumbels,
STYLE i think real sports needs to take some notes
as to why these things are blowing up and why
they're even garnering any. Interest LIKE i THINK mlb needs
to look at banana ball a little. Bit i'm not
saying they need to clown it, up but there's something

(41:12):
there as far as entertainment. FACTOR i think THE nba
needs to, say you know, what man Our All star
break is a little. Weak we're making, moves we're making,
changes but maybe the one on one stuff is dope
with the right. Players because there's a lot of buzz
around this.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
Stuff and you guys have talked a lot about The
savannah bananas this, season and also it's why we all
care about The nathan's hot dog eating. Contests just Had
joey chessing out on. Yesterday it's a spectacle.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
Anything and there's a growing market for that because you know,
what rich is like mindless fun but yet still. Sports
just like you could be at the cookout and have
this goofy stuff. On you can have company, over still
have this, on not be glued to. It you're not
surrounding your whole event. Around it's just this background fun to,
watch and again it's not as serious as regular. Sports

(42:00):
you last. Weekend You, No Banana ball is. Expanding there's four.
Teams there's supposed to be six Different Banana ball.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
Teams in the next few.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Years and the thing, is unlike The Globe, trotters WHO
i was, Saying i'm trivia for, you, buddy who did
The globetrotters beat up every time The Washington generals?

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Bamn do you remember the whole point was any other?

Speaker 2 (42:20):
Brains remember every time they would just whoop them and
that was? IT i, mean what was the rumor that
one time The generals?

Speaker 6 (42:26):
Won?

Speaker 1 (42:26):
RIGHT i don't think it. WAS i think they. DID
i think they beat them once.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
Once the thing About Banana, ball and, again this is no.
Commercial they're not giving us. ANYTHING i find it entertaining
in that it's not just The Savannah bananas that are.
Entertaining it's not you. Rich there's millions and millions of
people on a wait list to get, in and there's
college stadiums all over the country that are trying to
get their bid on The, hey come play.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Here this money just popular money to be.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Made AND i was gonna say the other teams like
The Party animals and you know the people that play
The bananas aren't just chumps that they beat like that
of bananas don't win every, game and they're not the
only ones doing these tricks and silly. Things and we
talked about this a couple weeks, ago so let me
let me pull this back for a. Second remember we
had that, conversation would you rather be on The Colorado
rockies or be A Savannah banana if money didn't? Matter,

(43:15):
Yeah AND i think we all agree being in the
big leagues is just such an. Honor it doesn't matter
if you're on the worst team in, history The. Rockies
it's still The. BIGS i gain, IT i get. It
but we were seeing the salaries of A Savannah. Banana
is it close to one hundred thousand? Dollars, danny would
you agree that if that number goes from ninety to
one hundred thousand dollars to maybe three to five hundred thousand,

(43:36):
dollars all of a, sudden the interest level of some
of these young ballplayers might be, like you know, WHAT
i don't Think i'm good enough to make the, Bigs
but IF i start learning some trick, plays.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
Yeah definitely changes people's thoughts on. It it's a great.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Existence you're having fun touring, women love your, kids love your.
Families you're going to see. You it's a it's a
great second option if you're not good enough for the big.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Leagues and you could flip.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Around and, stuff but if you really pause for a,
SECOND i could see what's. Happening there is such a growing,
market you. Know just this, Week Jake paul said something
that there might be some truth. To he, Said i'm
the best thing for boxing Since Muhammad. Ali and it sounds,
outrageous but people tune. In there's a huge growing market for.

(44:22):
It he's Fighting Chavez, junior not this, weekend the next,
weekend the weekend of the twenty.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Eighth and guess what we're all quick to be, like who?

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Cares everybody's tuning in for whatever reason because it's fun
and there's room for.

Speaker 1 (44:38):
That and that's why there's room for goofballs like us
on the.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Radio to be, honest you got twenty three hours of
serious sports talk. RADIO i think you guys can have
some fun for two hours where we do appreciate our,
sports but we're goofing around having fun at the same.
Thing times funny is that you just put twenty five
hours in the. Day DID i twenty oh oh DID
i say?

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Joke you get. It let's talk about ice.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Cubes, again you? Moron The Extra Out The Extra hour
is our best of.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Podcast yeah, yeah saying about eight days a, week eight
days a. WEEK i love you's a. Genius let's put
it in an extra.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
WORK i don't know about you, know but What kamino,
SAID i want to adjust What Jake paul said by
so much of. THIS i actually want to Adjust Jake
paul's quote and then believe. It if he said he's
the best thing that happened a boxing Since Mike, Tyson
Muhammad Ali.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
No, no he said A.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Lee i'm saying if he adjusted it Because tyson brought
so many eyes in the eighties and he revolutionized like you,
know fight nights and pay per views where it's, like
oh my, God tyson's.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
Gonna knock him out right.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
AWAY i really do think spectacle wise and must. Watch
i've never had friends be, like we've got to get
together for The clitch go. FIGHT i never had a
friend say, Yo Anthony joshua must. See mayweather was a defensive.
Fighter he was, great but he wasn't knocking people. Out
have to be a hardcore. Fan you have to you,

(45:59):
know you have to follow the. Sport this stuff is
just fun and there's room for. That AND i think
we need to be a little more open to the
fun and and talk about, it Because i'm telling you,
what you know, what a lot of people slept on
and we did mention it here that one on one
pay per view With stevenson And. Beasley there was something to. That,
man there was a lot of emotion. Involved these guys

(46:20):
still have, Game danny G as you were pointing, out
you don't want to see If Dwight howard still has
game and you're seeing them, fighting there's a lot of.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
Intensity we had Heard howard for so many months, Say,
Lakers i'm right.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Here you need a big, guy come get.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
ME i can still, play and he and some other
older players are proving.

Speaker 2 (46:38):
That imagine back in the day. TOO i mean we
could still get that, now But, madgine back in the,
day if we were able to see a pay per
view event between a Retired jordan and somebody, else that
would be there's something.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
There.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
Listen i'm not trying to downplay our love of mainstream
real sports right, hell but but it's.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
Growing whether you like it or.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
Not BUT i do think a lot of old heads
and a lot of people that are sports fans are quick,
to as you, said pooh pooh the, spectacle WHICH i
think there is room for. Both, again why can't you
love THE, Nfl Major League, baseball THE nba college football?

Speaker 1 (47:15):
Life? Like why can't you love?

Speaker 3 (47:17):
That because it's like cool to like put a thumb
down to things that are kind of.

Speaker 1 (47:22):
Gimmicky, YEAH i guess.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
So BUT i think you're allowed to love all the
THINGS i said and also watch.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
It you don't have to take a Serious you could do.
That it's not meant to.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Be you could love all the THINGS i just, SAID, NBA,
Nfl Major League, baseball but still, say, OH i want
to Watch Jake paul fight and watch The savannah.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
Bananas what why can't you like all that? Stuff do
you agree or?

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Disagree do you feel what we're saying at all eight
seven seven ninety nine On? Fox and the reason we
talk about this is because if you follow social media,
trends you're seeing just as much banana ball highlights as you.

Speaker 1 (47:52):
Are Oh tani on the.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
Mound all, DAY i was seeing that This Tyreek Hill
race was. Canceled i'm, like, oh that would have been
cool to see How Tyreek hill squared up Against Noah. Lyles,
oh but it's. Canceled and then, again like we, said
all the other side stuffed these big threes and all
the highlights we're. Seeing you can't help but notice that
there's definitely a trend in the popularity of at least these.

(48:17):
Clips we're not seeing it ON, tv but on social,
media you're seeing it. EVERYWHERE i got a question for, You,
yeah do you think hear me out on this? One
If Tyreek hill did fight no, fight if he did
Race Noah, LYLES.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
I think he was gonna smoke. HIM i.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
Do If Tyreek hill, wins does that throw everyone mentally
for a, loop that our fastest football player beat the
fastest guy in The? Olympics is THAT i don't think it,
Really you don't think it's any shade Of Noah. Lyles,
again he can't take away his golden, medals right he.
HAS i think multiple gold medals as a. Sprint doesn't
that make you think THAT i only wanted because guys
Like Tyreek hill didn't want to.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
PARTICIPATE i think it.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Just elevates guys Like Tyreek hill as, Like, wow he
he's that exceptional, Man he's that.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
FAST i really think it just puts him on a
higher echelon of.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Speed he, oh he has one gold one career Gold
Lyles again gold medal.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
Sprinter that race was.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
Canceled so just got us thinking about these spectacles we
look forward, to because you, Know i'm looking forward to
That Jake Paul Chavis junior. FIGHT i know it doesn't
matter in a grand scheme of things as a fight,
fan BUT i still find enjoyment in that.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
Stuff that's, stupid but stupid. FUN i feel. You.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
So devers made his debut his press conference today with The,
giants and at the press conference he, SAYS i am
here to play wherever they want me to.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Play you know what that's.

Speaker 2 (49:52):
Like that's like when let's just SAY i know, people
or let's just say it's.

Speaker 1 (49:57):
ME i don't.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Know in my previous, RELATIONSHIP i was, like let's have more,
kids and my ex was, LIKE i don't THINK i
want any more. Kids that was sort of the beginning
of the. End she got into a new relationship.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Had two more. Kids so it's not that she didn't want.
Kids it's not that she didn't want. Kids she didn't
want kids with. Me that's really.

Speaker 2 (50:16):
It devers just didn't want to accommodate The Red. Sox,
really The, Giants he'll do. Anything that was A jan
And michael issue on the. Office how funny is that. THAT
i was, Like, Yeah i'm here to play wherever they
want me to. Play it's, like, well you wouldn't do
that for The Red. Sox and, dude by the, way you,
know in previous, relationships, yeah previous girlfriend's wife, whatever refused

(50:40):
to move because of my, career and then in other
relationships they're, in they're willing to move to the other.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Side of the.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
WORLD i, mean you can even make it more, kinky
like you could have been with someone with someone, else you're.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
Like, wait you want to do that with?

Speaker 2 (50:54):
Me. Exactly it's really a matter of do you want
to accommodate the person or job you're with or.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
At and so it. Was laterly The Red sox rubbed
Uffe El dever's.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Wrung it was less about him not wanting to do
it with The Red, SOX i, mean not wanting to trade.
Positions it was just less about him wanting to do
it for. Them and now is time to. Play quote,
Me sports media and athletes are quoted a lot for.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
Me stars. Track here comes the hot take. Quotes Andy
wei should step down his, head. Coach this is not
