Keenan Allen may be looking to go back to his
old stomping grounds, but Moncy Belanios wants an upgrade. Yes,
bring Terry McLaurin to the Bolts. Is that what you're saying?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yes, If he's demanding a trade, why not. We'll take him.
We'll take him.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
The drama of the National Football League is here. It's
also a Friday, righty right fight? Hey, Frie. I don't

Hello?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Today's Friday, TGIF Friday Friday and Isaac Low and Crown
is at the news.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Desk Friday Friday and cron Here's the other great thing.
Cavino and Rich don't have a lot of guests on
their shows trail, but at times they do, and when
something interesting happens and someone may be available, they'll bring
(01:29):
someone on. And I feel like today that's the case
because the guys who've talked about Happy Gilmore Too previously,
and I'm sure if Adam Sandler had an opportunity to
speak to the guys about Happy Gilmore Too, they would
more than welcome it. I'm sure that they spoke with
Adam Sandler many times throughout their career. So I find
it only fitting that as we sit in for Cavino
(01:51):
and Rich, we actually have the guy who sat in
for Adam Sandler during Happy Gilmore two, former PGA tour
player Hunter mayh It's going to be joining us six
o'clock Eastern time, three Pacific. He served as the body
double to Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore Too, dressing like him,
(02:11):
so Hunter a friend of the network. He and I
love to talk NFL uniforms. He's going to join us
just after six o'clock Eastern time, three Pacific to talk
about how you land a role like that and what
he y'all did behind the scenes a Happy Gilmore too.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Okay, Sam, I'm gonna call you out right now.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
I've seen half the movie so far because I was
supposed to watch it this weekend. Sorry with somebody and
the boyfriend. I'm not I started watching it.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
It's so fun. What are you mad about?
Speaker 5 (02:39):
Fun?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well? Okay, I don't are you mad about it? I
think today's show reading about it?
Speaker 5 (02:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Fun or funny? Though, that's a big difference.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Okay, Either it was so funny.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
What did you did You tune in because you thought
you were going to learn something you've never learned about
Happy Gilmore or you watched him to watch a sequel.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Of Happy guil I don't want to relitigate what we
talked about earlier.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
This week. We have a very great guest coming up.
We will celebrate Happy Gilmore to today. I will be quiet.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, you're calling you out. You're crazy. It's so fun.
It's so fun.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
Stay tuned for the sequel to Happy Gilmore to Angry
Bolanos one.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
What No, I'm just saying it was so fun, all
the negativity.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Give the second half a watch and then get back.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
But I'm not going in there expecting to get no.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
I think I think it's a win already. It did
well for them. I'm happy for him. No pun intended.
The movie did very well for Netflix. You are banned
from the Hunter Mayhan interview. There will be no no.
You are banned.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Why would you brand negative Nelly on during something that's
supposed to be positive and happy?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yes, no pun intended. So I will stay out. Gilmore
Storry Iowa, Sam, this is a happy interview, Okay, so
I will stay out of it. Gladly. I want to
own all the shine to be on Hunter Mayhan. All right, wait,
I will celebrate the day that we stop releasing official
statements on iPhone notes. Could someone get letterhead? Could someone
(04:04):
just type something out on a computer and print it out.
Because Micah Parsons released his trade request in size four
fontmnty like it is, it is squint worthy today.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
Hey, you can zoom in.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
You can use your fingers to pinch.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I gotta do the triple click on the magnifying glass
to zoom up on my computer screen to read everything
that Micah Parsons has typed, by the way, kudos for
him to not have the first line in size thirty
two and then the next line in size six. Isaac
Lonkrawn knows exactly what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Is the cursor still there though it is a little
orange cursor like right after the final letter of the statement.
Usually the orange cursor is like the snat the screen
grab of it.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
No, it is, it is off of that. I don't
and I don't see at any point where if he
made an edit that that was off the screen. But
you can tell that it just kept it kept going
and going. And it was three images that he posted
on his ex page that's now got twenty six thousand retweets.
But Michaeh. Parsons wants out of Dallas so much so
(05:13):
that this tweet announcing that he's unhappy through this contract
negotiation that apparently he's unhappy about the contract negotiation that
has completely gone sideways. He wrote thank you Dallas, and
through a couple emojis next to it, Michaeh. Parsons wants
out of Big d That's.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Great, but he's not going anywhere.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
It's hard to take any of these demands from players lately. Seriously,
that's the initial feeling I got when I saw this.
I was like, he's not going anywhere like what happened
with Miles Garrett. He's not going He's not going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
TJ. Watt's not going anywhere. I don't think Terry McLaurin is.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Going anywhere, and I do not think Michael Parsons is
going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
He is frustrated.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
He's mad, because when you care about something, you ride
a goodbye like that. If you truly did not care,
just be like Cowboys fans, I'm gonna miss you and
love you.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
But I've gotta move on.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
This is someone who cares and does not really want
to leave, and he's putting that out so the fans
can see.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
He wants Jerry Jones to fix this. And what do
we know about Jerry Jones.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
He waits till the last minute to do the extensions.
I don't know why he likes to pay more, but
he does. He ends up paying more, so I don't
think he's going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
That is my initial feeling.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
But by the way, I'm sorry. If it wasn't size
four fonts, it would be sixteen.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Pages front and back, front and back, front and back.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
I fell asleep, you fell asleep.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Sorry, my other side of it, because it is the Cowboys, obviously,
it makes me wonder.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
I always felt like Michael Parsons was the.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Thing that didn't move with the Cowboys, like he was
the cowboy right because there's been issues with Dak Prescott,
issues obviously with Jerry Jones, that.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
He was kind of like the staple a staple there.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
If this does end up going further south and Michael
Parsons does get traded, is this the beginning of the
spiraling out of the Cowboys as we know it?
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I think, because I sense that you're asking me, I
think that if Jerry Jones does trade Micah Parsons, he's
actually taking a stand and it would be the time
that he shows backbone and actually real GM qualities. Whether
it would be a good trade or not, who knows.
We've seen a lot of the graphics of the Khalil
(07:32):
Mack trade, the aj Brown trade after Treylon Burks was
released by the Titans earlier this week. That graphic was
shown up that was won by the Philadelphia Egos. It
was a bad trade by the Tennessee Titans. They failed
on it. I think that when the Khalil Mack trade
went down, we thought that the Bears were the ultimate winner.
The Raiders may not have gotten everybody that they would
have hoped in that deal, but Josh Jacobs was solid
(07:55):
for them for a while. So you look back at
these these trades and it would take a while for
you to decipher whether it worked or not. And I
just think that if Jerry Jones were to do a deal,
which I think you're right. I don't disagree with anything
you said, but if he were to go down and
actually do the deed and trade Micah Parsons, it would
(08:15):
actually show Jerry Jones being a real general manager. And
that's part of the problem that I felt that is
missing with the Cowboys is because he always does cave in,
and it feels like that's an ownership sort of move
and not someone who is running your franchise. So if
he did trade Micah Parsons Monty, I actually think that
that would show something and show that Gary Jerry Jones
(08:35):
actually has some guts.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah, I don't think that's happening.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I don't think show either.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
I just don't see because then that makes no sense.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Every other decision that Jerry Jones has made up up
until this point wouldn't make sense.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
We're the greatest Cowboys that you can remember of all
times because you're talking about current.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Yeah, I'm talking about current right that he's the staple.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Right, I say, Dallas Cowboys just to Tony Romo, Okay
to Romo, I knew Troy Aigman perfect, Yeah, Emitt Smith
and Smith. Emitt Smith's holdout is a historic in the
NFL because he actually did miss games in the regular season. Now,
he ended up rejoining the team and they went on
(09:15):
to go win a Super Bowl. But Emmitt Smith and
Jerry Jones were at a standoff thirty years ago, and
ultimately Emmitt Smith came back and played in a Cowboys uniform.
And so that's why I say what I say is
that if he actually did the trade, that it would
be a general manager sort of move. But also, Michah
Parsons can't think that he's alone in this because I
(09:35):
do think we think of recent history or think that
he's special in this case. And look at Dak. We've
talked about they overpaid Dak, gave Ceedee Lamb his deal,
the San Ezekiel Elliott way too early. So now the
current thinking is, well, I'm next in line, how are
you gonna treat me? Jerry Jones has tried to mess
with the bull when it comes to his players, and
there's really none bigger than EMITTT. Smith and it led
(09:59):
to a holdout a long time ago. So as we
say all this stuff about Jerry Jones, and I am
not disagreeing with you in all of this, I don't
think that Michael Parsons should think that he's out on
an island and just because he hasn't gotten a deal done,
Especially to your point, I think this is the only
time that Micah Parsons can do this because we're still
four weeks away from the start of the regular season.
(10:21):
Get back to me in three weeks when he's not signed,
or when the preseason games are done and you're getting ready.
That's the part where I think it's where and I
think to your point, that's probably where we're going to
get traction and Micah Parson ends up coming back. But
Michael Parsons is not alone in this. It's just right now,
I think this is his only leverage that he has.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Yeah, he does have leverage because and this is part
of the thing too, why I don't see Jerry Jones
making a real GM move like you just described, because
Jerry Jones knows that someone will gladly pick up Michael Parsons,
and he would fear that Michael Parsons would be the
X factor on whatever other team he goes to and
then leads them to a long run on in the
(11:00):
playoffs like he would not He would never let forgive
himself for that.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
So he's never gonna let go of Michael Parsons.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
And here's but here's the news flash to that. What
defensive player has led a team to the playoffs?
Speaker 8 (11:13):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (11:15):
Rams An, thank you. I'm talking about one of one.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yes, but I gave you one.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Yes, he did good job, Manzi wins Monzy is correct,
great job, but give one that was really good because
it was meant to be like an open ended start
of my question, and then she answers it and stuffs
it in my face. But then then I say, outside
of Aaron Donald, like like, Michael Parsons is not on
the level of Aaron Donald. And here's the thing about
(11:42):
like Trey Hendrickson with the Bengals, does Trey Hendrickson really
make the difference for Cincinnati considering he was on a
defense last year that couldn't stop anybody.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
M mmm.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
So like that's like, so like when you're Cincinnati and
you're trying to figure out what to do, you're gonna overpay,
You're gonna you're gonna pay a guy. I shouldn't say
overpay a guy. You're gonna pay someone and commit to
them long term when it may not directly affect and
have an effect on your season. As crazy as that sounds,
(12:16):
I don't know if Dallas is set up defensively to
allow Micah Parsons to be the Micah Parsons and someone
that's gonna carry them to the next level. The lines
that have been set in Vegas, I guarantee have Micah
Parsons with the Cowboys cooked in and the win total
is seven and a half. Okay, So that so that's
(12:38):
what you're looking at if you're Dallas. So now somebody
wants to give you a king's ransom for Micah Parsons
and maybe wants to overpay for him, maybe you should
look at it. Maybe you should look at that option
because Micah Parsons isn't on defense, especially in the NFL quarterback,
different story, maybe even wide receiver because of what he
does to your quarterback. But a defensive player in almost
(13:00):
ninety nine point nine percent of the cases in the
NFL isn't necessarily going to lead you to that title.
And so that's where like if I'm Dallas and I'm thinking, okay,
it's not Aaron Donald, I'll even like, you know, someone
like JJ Watt who is so dominant during his time,
Like you're just talking about like a one man wrecking crew.
Like those players like that are few and far between,
(13:20):
and for as great as the accolades as Micah Parsons has,
is he at that level? And I think that would
be some of the cowboys that have to ask themselves
is he worth it to give that contract to? I
think that's a conversation they.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Have to have, and that is a legit conversation to have.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
But if he goes to a team where the defense
is already strong, he can be an X factor. You're right,
He's and Trey Andandrickson is a perfect example with the
Bengals because we saw their defense last year couldn't stop anyone.
And so he if he does join a team that
is already good defensively.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
He can be that X factor. I think he has
it in him. But you're right, they're far and few between.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
You make the good point, but I just think Jerry
Jones's ego, he wouldn't want to let him go and
fear that he does become an X factor.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Sir, I think you're right. And if the best offer
is to a team like you're not, You're not trading
him to the Eagles right, right.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
For the Commanders or a team you know, it's like
who wants him? AFC, Yeah, you can have him, go ahead,
go ahead, go.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
To New Orleans.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
The Saints would say the same thing I do when
defensive player is not going to make us. But if
you had Cam Jordan on one side, Michael Parson, who
knows what what could happen? That's all hypothetical and joking,
but it is an interesting point. And this is why
this is, by the way, why this is happening on
August first, if this was September one and Terry McLaurin
was saying what he was saying with the Commanders and
Michael Parsons was saying what he's saying, different story. And
(14:44):
I think that Terry McLaurin and Michael Parsons situations are
actually different. Not only are the offensive defenses players, but
mclaurin's got a little bit more, a little more equity
with the commanders. But that also means that he's a
little bit older. Michael Parson, I think you would say
he's in his prime right now. But why does Dallas
have to trade him when they actually have the ability
(15:06):
to keep control of Micah Parsons for the next two
to three years. So they would need an offer to
really blow their socks off, and then it's up to
Jerry Jones to have the guts to do it. I
don't think Michaeh Parsons holds out. I think all of
these notes that and I'm not talking about the iPhone
note that he sent, but the notes that the insiders
have sent out obviously have been fueled from the agent
(15:28):
because the talking points are pretty much the same. We've
seen insiders from ESPN and NFL Network in other places
reiterating what Michah Parson's side has been saying, so you
know that they're not going on the offensive at this
point of the negotiations. Jason Stewart's our executive producer. I
like the name that manse used ten minutes ago. I
(15:51):
think the Miles Garrett situation needs more probing. In other words,
the twenty four hour news cycle that we're in, we
just completely glossed over the fact that Miles Garrett scrubbed
his social media account. I think he put his house
up for sale. He wrote a note to Cleveland saying
that I don't think you can win a Super Bowl here,
and I went out, and then they gave him a
(16:12):
bunch of money, and everyone just forgot that he had
said anything. And I'm thinking, isn't that like that over exaggerating,
negotiating tactic, this gen Z thing that's going on, isn't
that a deservice to the union. And like Micah Parsons
right now, like anything he does, we're just taking less
serious after a case like Miles Garrett that we almost
(16:34):
forget about how ridiculously exaggerating he went with the tactic.
He was so exaggerating. They were asking him names at
the Super Bowl of what teams he would like to
go to. He was answering questions like yeah, I'd love
to go to the commanders, like what? But I also
think what is interesting in this and Jason, I don't
(16:57):
know if this answers it or not. This is their wind.
There's a weak window like the NFL is was going
to go away after the Super Bowl, in large part
for a couple of weeks before the Combine. What better
place to spread your message than at a gathering of
the league's biggest game where media from across the entire
(17:18):
country are So you release that statement and then you
go and make your rounds on Radio row talking to everybody.
It's why this is being done on August first and
not September first, because now is there time to say
their piece if they truly want to miss games, which
Manzi doesn't think they want to do. What I think
you're saying with Miles Garrett was as long as you
(17:38):
pay me, I'm gonna play. And when I don't think
that Michael Parsons wants to miss any games. If you're
doing this on September first, four days before kickoff against
the Philadelphia Eagles, then it's a different story. Then you're
missing regular season games. But right now, I think it's
because of the window that they're in. And you'll say anything,
You'll say anything in your three page iPhone note, and
(18:00):
four size font because there's just ramblings and ramblings of
this and that, And I tried to do this for Dallas,
like it's it's been four years, like all right, like
this is it's not like you were together for fifteen years.
This is all this all just fits in the window.
They're on serve if it's a tennis match. Now it's
time for Jerry to see if he's going to volley back.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
And that's exactly what I meant how you said the
window would close that if they actually do move on
from it. From Michael Parsons to me, this is the
unraveling of the Cowboys that we know right now.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
You think it's the unraveling. I think it would be
if he just if they would trade.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Him, right, yes, if they would trade him.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
I again, I think that it would be Jerry Jones
actually being a GM and running his football team and
running it away. Decision good or bad, we wouldn't know
until it all like sorts out. But at least you're
taking a stand and not in essence just taking the
easy way out and giving them all the money because
the season is closer.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
And now you're taking the stand.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Now that sucks to be Michael Parsons so.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
That windows close the Jerry Jones is accepted. I'm gonna
be a good GM and close up this window and
we'll try again in a couple of years.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I think he's just would be a GM. Like I
think like there are there are moves that this happens
in the NBA more often than not. There are moves
that are afforded to certain teams because of certain positions
that they're in, because they're contenders, because they can add
a veteran, and teams want to play for them. I've
talked about this with the with the Bucks, Like when
the Bucks win a title, doors opened up because Giannis
(19:27):
is there to them that they had never had before
as a small market team that didn't win a lot
of games. So they just brought everybody in. Hey, this
old veteran wants to play for us, This old veteran,
let's just sign him. Let's sign him. None of it
is any like sort of like does this fit in
our program? How is this going to work? How can
we be smart with his salary? What sort of deal? Like?
Those are tough, real decisions you have to make for
(19:49):
a team, And I think Jerry makes easy decisions all
the time in the NBA. I think they are easy decisions.
Guess what so and so is going to be released
by the Blazers. He's gonna sign with Boston on too day.
We know that is before the paperwork is even done
with the player being released, because it's the easy way out.
We just funnel him to the good team. This guy's
going to sign with the Lakers. This would actually be
(20:10):
Jerry Jones putting his foot in the ground and saying,
all right, I made mistakes in the past and I'm sorry.
Nothing personal Michael Parsons, even though it seems to have
become personal. But I'm going to make a decision that
I feel now is the best interest of our football team,
whether the fans like it or not. Michael Parsons isn't
leading them to a Super Bowl right now. Dak has
the ability. As crazy as that sounds, like, if Dak
were a play out of his mind, they have a
(20:31):
better chance if Dak has a career year than if
Michael Parsons does. But that just comes with the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
You cannot teach an old dog new tricks.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
I don't see Jerry Jones doing that, and I think
Jerry Jones kind of what you're saying. He's like, I've
got the Cowboys, I've got the brand, like you should
want to stay here, And I don't see him changing
that tune because that's how he has approached every other
contract he's had to deal with. It's like you should
want to be here, and then he gives in and
he gives you the money. And that's the thing is
(20:59):
like the money is there because of how much money
the Cowboy's name makes.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
It's a brand. It's not just a team, it's a brand.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
How do you, Jason, just to wrap up your Miles
Garrett points on this, did you believe Miles Garrett statement
more than what Micah Parsons put out today, like at
the time, or did you see through that?
Speaker 5 (21:20):
I don't remember. I think I saw through it. I
think I thought it was BS. But my point being like,
when you do all these tactics, you're crying wolf more
than ever, so the next guy that needs to negotiate
a contract, people just kind of eye roll to this stuff.
This has just become like normalized, Like it's just so
(21:41):
extreme that it's kind of like our political thing culture.
It's like you do extreme things, and then things become normal,
and then it's much less impactful for Mike go to
send out that statement. Now, I think after Miles Garrett
went even further. You know, am I making my point?
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Yeah, which is why Monsi says that he's ultimately gonna
be in a Cowboys uniform one against Philadelphia.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
Absolutely, I would have I thought, I think it would
have been more effective kind of what you're saying, Jason,
if it would have been like a one liner I'm out,
like a fax from Michael Jordan, I'm back.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
I'm out.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Sure, then all of this I don't care about you.
Here's a sixteen page letter front and back. I don't
but that I don't care, but I don't care.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
No, you do care.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
And if you would have just said I'm out, then people,
then the speculation would have been a little bit different.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
But you care, you want to stay there, You're just
trying to.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
I just I love the insider orgy of all of
Micah Parson's talking points that just came out, like everybody
they're all tweeting it at the same time because they
all got it at the same time, like this is
what like it's it was just absurd That's why this is.
It's all calculated. Absolutely, would you say much ado about nothing? Yes, Okay,
I'm out. She's Monty Belanos, I'm Dan Byer. We're gonna
(22:56):
be uh big awards coming here. Uh Fox Sports d.
Speaker 9 (23:00):

(23:32):
me at Dan Byer on Fox. Jason Stewart is here
as his IOWA was Sam and Isaac Lowincron is at
the news desk. We'll get to Isaac in about five
minutes or so, giving us the latest of what's happening
on this day. Major League Baseball at Bristol this weekend. Yes,
getting ready for the Reds and Braves playing smack dab
in the middle of the NASCAR short track. So that'll
(23:52):
be a sight to see this weekend. Crazy how they
were able to make the diamond the way that they did.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
It looks so weird from the angle, you know, the
Ariels shot. You're like, I can't believe that's happening, but
it's cool, cool experience.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yes, it's kind of a branch off from the Field
of Dreams game that they had a different you know,
a couple of years ago, headed for two years and
taking a break, So this kind of is along those lines.
So it'll be neat to see with what goes down
this weekend. Lebron James right now, Monty I think hates
the Lakers, but the only thing he hates more is subtlety. Yeah,
And I texted you that yesterday when the I think
(24:26):
it was in the text you sent me of the
IG post of Lebron James working out and what do
you know, in the background, there were there were you
cannot miss it. There were La Clippers logos in that workout.
Lebron James first of all doing it in Cleveland, welcome home.
(24:47):
Working out at the Cavs facility now ends up working
out at a gym where there are Clippers logos. But
Lebron James knew what he was doing.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Oh my goodness, he knew it so much.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
It's like Michael Parson, as we just described to his
seventeen pages front and back. These are twenty seven photos
that he posted, and the first one right there, Clippers,
the very first one. First of all, Lebron, stay away
from my Clippers. We are old enough as it is.
I know you're best friends with Chris Paul because I
took you guys around when I was at Universal Studios
(25:19):
for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Hornit, so I know your friends. Stay away from the Clippers.
We're old enough. No, no, no, go elsewhere.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
This is the old Clippers training facility, which I think
Clutch Sports now has. That is the old Clippers logo.
And the reason I say this is even more calculated
because if you scroll through the rest of the gym
or the rest of the pictures, excuse.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Me, you cannot see any other picture that shows the Clippers'
logo the way the very first one does.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
All the other ones are out of focus, like you
can kind of make it out in the background that
that does say Clippers, but everything else is out of focus,
no specifics.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
That very first one right there, Clippers.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
The first the first post that you make, or when
the first picture of your post is the most.
Speaker 7 (26:03):
Important, it is the most important.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
One's gonna one through sixteen does not matter after that,
but the first one does, because that's your bait.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
That's how you hook them into the rest of the pictures.
If you think that album is worthwhile? Is he gonna
have more Clippers logos? Is he gonna have other teams logos?
What else can I find in this mission accomplished by
Lebron James?
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Absolutely mission accomplished.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
And I know there's gotta be a little call me crazy,
but I do think he maybe would like to join
the Clippers.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
You know why, because it would add to his resume.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
Let's hypothetically say he joins the Clippers and the Clippers
win a championship. He would be able to hold that
to say I took the Clippers to their very first
championship ever, a team that in LA has become way
more popular since Blake Griffin and Lob City years with
Chris Paul, so I feel like there there may be
(27:01):
some truth to him posting that picture.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Maybe like, deep down, maybe I can't stay in La go.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
To the Clippers and bring them their first championship because
I think he would love that.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
I think that he doesn't want to be a Clipper.
He just wants to stick it to the Lakers, and
being a Clipper would be a part of that. So
I also think the Mavericks are part of the conversation, Like,
we don't know how great the Anthony Davis Lebron relationship
was because it would say one thing and then you
would see another. So why then Lebron I wants to
team up with him in Dallas? Doesn't make any sense
(27:32):
with Kyrie Irving coming off of another surgery where he
couldn't even play, you know, for the for the upcoming season.
So like that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
That doesn't scream road to championship. What it screams is
if we were to win a championship, that would really
shove it in the face of the Lakers. And so
doing that with the Clippers' logos, now, that was the
thing that stood out to me as a logo person
(27:53):
was it was the old Clippers' logo.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
So it's just one of my favorites.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Yes, and I look at it as like the Tron
log go where in the game of Tron, when you're
on the motorcycle, this.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Is way before your time, no idea what you're.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
But it's like you're trying not to crash into your
own tracks. That's what that looks like. I don't mind
the new logo, but it also is it's a dated logo,
but there's a reason why Lebron is using that.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Absolutely the cool thing.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
If Lebron were to join the Clippers, their average age
would be fifty two and a half. That would be
because this team, this team is so old monci.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
I know, I know.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Did you know? Did you know that they have had
to rearrange the handicapped parking just for some of their players.
So yeah, so's there's more handicap parking at into it
Dome because of all the older players that they've had
to accommodate in getting into their new arena.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
You know, when that jersey come out comes out that
says unks, I don't want you buying it, Okay, I
better not see you wear in a shirt that says
unks on it.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
Representing the Clippers.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Into it dome this year, Tim, did you hear what
they're doing? It into a dome concession stands now open
at four pm? Yes, yes, at four pm. Because of
how old the Clippers are, they're trying to contake, trying
to cater to their fan base. They'll be open from
from four until six thirty. Then they shut it down.
Temperature inside into a dome eighty eight degrees. It is
(29:21):
gonna be sweltering. These are all the things because the
Clippers are so old. That is just some of the
things that.
Speaker 8 (29:29):
We look forward to, you know how they the uh,
the the cool thing is is there are a lot
of things that Steve Balmer does, like you know, interactive
and stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Sure like you can win free Clippers gear next year
if you text on your consumer cellular phone the Clippers
and this is gonna be amazing. Like it's like it is,
we are, we are ready to go. It's it's gonna
be magnificent.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
No, it's not happening, Lebron, stay away from the Clippers.
We're old enough as it is. We don't need you.
That was great though, Hey, that would be really great.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
I heard their alternate uniform is depends. No, I'm kidding.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Come on, hey, this guy's so rude, so rude.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
It happens, It happens, all right, Sorry, Uh hey, just
having some fun here on a Friday.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Next time you have food in your teeth, I'm not
gonna tell you.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
We'll get to that later. Isaac Longcron's at the news desk. Uh,
take a swig. I hope it's water. I hope you
don't need more to get through this show.
Speaker 6 (30:34):
Okay, Well we will start in the NFL. That's the
big story. Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parson's announcing on
social media he no longer wants to play for the
Cowboys and has requested a trade. Parsons said that, oh,
hang on, I got to increase the font size here.
(30:54):
Zoom in, zoom in.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
All right.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
He said in March that he met with owner Jerry
Jones to talk about leadership, but that the conversation turned
into an unexpected contract negotiation without parsons agent present. Parsons
then went on to say, hang on, I gotta go
to the second of the three pictures here. See what
I don't get is why does the second picture still
(31:20):
have the last third of the text from the previous page.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yes, he's being quick, he's being quick, you know.
Speaker 6 (31:27):
Thank goodness they didn't have iPhones in seventeen seventy six,
or else they would have written the Declaration of Independence
on a notepad.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah. You know what would be great, really refreshing, is
if one of these players, young guy he uh, posts
like handwritten notes in cursive instead of so like writing
out beautiful cursive franchise, and then takes us, takes us
a shot of each of those, and then posts that
James hard should he sign the declaration.
Speaker 6 (31:57):
I'll tell you what, if this was a baseball game,
they'd be testing Buyer for a performance enhancing substance after
the show. He has been on fire this last second.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
And to think I wanted to talk about the Clippers.
Speaker 6 (32:12):
Sometimes beware of what you get. Yeah, in this case, Buyer,
beware that.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Yes, there you go.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
Oh, especially when you have these pimply faced high school
recruits putting on social media who they're taking visits to
and it's this fancy photoshop in design document and now
you get to the NFL. The guy's doing it on
a notepad.
Speaker 9 (32:34):
Anyway.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
In all other lucrative news, the Washington DC City Council
this afternoon approved a three point eight billion dollar project
to build a new sixty five thousand seat stadium for
the Commanders on the side of RFK Stadium. The Cincinnati
Bengals finalizing a new stadium least to twenty thirty six,
NFL Media reported six time Pro Bowl receiver and president
free agent Keenan Allen visiting the LA Chargers today and
(32:57):
that there's mutual interest in a potential reunion. I'm only
in baseball. The twenty twenty seven Major League All Star
Game been awarded a Wrigley Field in Chicago, where today
the Cubs shut out the Baltimore Orioles one to nothing.

Iraq play of the Day.
Speaker 6 (34:09):
Here it comes, swinging a drive to left field, back,
goes half half on the track.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
He's there, He's not it. When the Cubs win the
ball game.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Tyler O'Neil gave it a long ride. On a different
day that would have been out of the ballpark.
Speaker 6 (34:27):
But the wind has been glowing in all Dan long.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
And the game would end one nothing in favor of
the Cubs, topping the Orioles today on the Cubs Radio Network.
For over forty years, Tyrak has been helping customers find

(34:52):
ever been to Wrigleyfield.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
I've been outside of it. I was there during.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
An All Stars All Start game that was happening elsewhere,
and so there was no games there, weren't doing anything.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
And so I stood outside of Radleyfield and it was
really awesome.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, it's it is.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
You still get the vibe of it just outside.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Yeah, absolutely modernized now like over the over the last
ten fifteen years or so. But it definitely is a
must do on people who do like ballparks like Sturdy
Field's number one on their list. But if you're a
sports fan, it's definitely worth it. We are at August first,
and it's Jason Stewart's favorite times of the year, sowelve
(35:29):
times the year. We say, you hear what Jason? On
the first of every month?
Speaker 5 (35:35):
Yes, how crazy is it that it's already August yes,
signed that person in your wife who was always overly
amazed at how fast time goes, that's me.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
We're eight months in the year.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
It's August.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Do you believe schools here? But we're actually seven months in,
seven months completed. We're into our eighth month now.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
But seven months in our birthdays aren't half a year.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Damn Well, that's because my half birthday was a couple
of weeks ago, so Montzu's is like a week ago
as well. We are closer to our new age than
we are of what our current age was turning. But
it also means that seven months of the sports calendar
is in. And as you look at Sports Illustrated as
a sports Person of the Year, there's other ones that
(36:19):
do male and female athletes of the Year. Let's let's
take a look at some of the nominees that we
think so far could be in play for Athlete of
the Year in twenty twenty five, and Monts we have
a special guest to help us with the nominees.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Oh I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Yes, yes, President Donald Trump is here to help us
give some of the nominees up for nomination for our
twenty twenty five Athlete of the year at Fox Sports
Radio President Trump Take It Away.
Speaker 9 (36:54):
Show.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Hey, oh Tani, Wow, I am not surprised.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
That's a good one nomination.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
I I really think that show. Hey. Unfortunately, the injury
with the pitching that he that he you know, had
this week, may may hurt him in this last stretch.
But I think he's a worthy, worthy nominee so far.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
It was just cramps. It was hot, That's all it was.
Speaker 7 (37:15):
It was, Yeah, he's.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Fine, all right, Okay, Well, it's a good nominee so far.
All right, who's nominee number two? President Trump.
Speaker 9 (37:26):
He's a handsome guy, but I wouldn't want to tackle him.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Shake one Barkley. Where's sake here? I didn't even realize it.
Maybe he's hanging out with Mahomes ready to do Mahomes trivia.
Not not shocking.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
At all at all.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Not.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
I want him to jump over Donald Trump. That's the
picture I want.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Backwards, Yes, backwards, backwards. I think we go time for
one more football one, right, do we Okay, let's do it. Yeah.
Another nominee resident.
Speaker 9 (38:04):
Hometown legend, Jack Sawyer Boy.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
That's a good name, yes, Ohio, Yes.
Speaker 9 (38:10):
It sounds like the name of a legendreg Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Think he's a legend in Ohio. I think he absolutely is.
Just some of our nominees so far. Of course, he
had the strip sack fumble return on Quinn Yours in
the Cotton Bowl that led Ohio States to the National
Championship game against Notre Dame. Jack Sawyer one of our
nominees for Athlete of the Year.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (38:32):
Really good nominee so far, and there's a lot of
others to come.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
We'll do it at the end of the show. She's
Wonsi Blagio. So I'm Dan Byers, Shoheo Tani Sakuon Barkley,
Jack Sawyer. So far our nominees. Will Hunter Mahon make
the list? Probably not, but he's gonna make our list
of guests coming up next as the double to Adam
Sandler and Happy Gilmore too. That's next on Fox
