but Moncy Belanios wants an upgrade. Yes, bring Terry McLaurin
to the Bolts. Is that what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (00:30):
Yes, If he's demanding a trade, why not, We'll take him.

Speaker 6 (00:33):
We'll take him.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
The drama of the National Football League is here. It's
also a Friday, right right, right, right right. I don't
know if the guys did it just as they were
in for Colin Cowhert earlier today, but we know if
you're hopping in your car, you just got done with work,
you want that Friday feel, We're here to provide it
for you in the Conveno and Rich style as it is.

(00:57):
Jason Stewart's our executive producer today on Day Buddy, Hello,
all right, Iowa, Sam is here.

Speaker 7 (01:03):
Hello.

Speaker 8 (01:04):
Today's Friday TGIF.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Friday Friday Ed, Isaac Low and Crown is at the
news desk Fridayron. Here's the other great thing. Cavino and
Rich don't have a lot of guests on their shows trail,
but at times they do, and when something interesting happens

(01:29):
and someone may be available, they'll bring someone on. And
I feel like today that's the case because the guys
who've talked about Happy Gilmore Too previously, and I'm sure
if Adam Sandler had an opportunity to speak to the
guys about Happy Gilmore Too, they would more than welcome it.
I'm sure that they spoke with Adam Sandler many times
throughout their career. So I find it only fitting that

(01:52):
as we sit in for Cavino and Rich, we actually
have the guy who sat in for Adam Sandler during
Happy Gilmore two. Former PGA tour player Hunter Mayhan's going
to be joining us six o'clock Eastern time, three Pacific.
He served as the body double to Adam Sandler in
Happy Gilmore Too, dressing like him, so Hunter a friend

(02:15):
of the network. He and I love to talk NFL uniforms.
He's going to join us just after six o'clock Eastern time,
three Pacific to talk about how you land a role
like that and what he y'all did behind the scenes
a Happy Gilmore too.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
Okay, Sam, I'm gonna call you out right now.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
I've seen half the movie so far because I was
supposed to watch it this weekend, sorry, with somebody and
the boyfriend.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
I'm not I started watching it. It's so fun.

Speaker 8 (02:40):
What are you mad about fun?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Well? Okay, I don't are you mad about it?

Speaker 8 (02:44):
I think today's show read it about it.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (02:46):
Fun or funny? Though, that's a big difference.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Okay, either it was so funny. What did you did?

Speaker 5 (02:51):
You tune in because you thought you were going to
learn something you've never learned about Happy Gilmore?

Speaker 6 (02:55):
Or you watched him to watch a sequel of Happy.

Speaker 8 (02:57):
Gil I don't want to relitigate what we talked about earlier.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
This week. We have a very great guest coming up.
We will celebrate Happy Gilmore to today. I will be quiet.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Yeah, you're calling you out. You're crazy. It's so fun.
It's so fun.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Stay tuned for the sequel to Happy Gilmore to Angry
Bolangos one.

Speaker 6 (03:15):
What No, I'm just saying it was so fun. On
the negativity.

Speaker 8 (03:18):
You give the second half a watch and then get back.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
But I'm not going in there expecting to get no.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I think I think it's a win already.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I did well for them. I'm happy for him. No
pun intended. The movie did very well for Netflix. You
are banned from the Hunter Mayhan interview. There will be
no no.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
You are banned.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Why would you brand negative Nelly on this during something
that's supposed to be positive and happy?

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yes, no pun intended. So I will stay out. Gilmore
Storry Iowa, Sam, this.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Is a happy interview, Okay, so I will stay out
of it gladly. I want to own all the shine
to be on Hunter Mayhan.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
All right, wait, I will celebrate the day that we
stop releasing official statements on iPhone notes. Could someone get letterhead?
Could someone just type something out on a computer and
print it out? Because Micah Parsons released his trade request

(04:15):
in size four FONTMNZI like it is, it is squint
worthy today.

Speaker 8 (04:22):
Hey, you can zoom in.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
You can use your fingers to pinch.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I gotta do the triple click on the magnifying glass
to zoom up on my computer screen to read everything
that Micah Parsons has typed, by the way, kudos for
him to not have the first line in size thirty
two and then the next line in size six. Isaac
Lohnkrawn knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Is the cursor still there though it is a little
orange cursor like right after the final letter of the statement.
Usually the orange cursor is like the snat the screen
grab of it.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
No, it is off of that. I don't and I
don't see at any point where if he made an
edit that that was off the screen. But you can
tell that it just it kept going and going, And
it was three images that he posted on his x
page that's now got twenty six thousand retweets. But Michaeh.

(05:12):
Parsons wants out of Dallas so much so that this
tweet announcing that he's unhappy through this contract negotiation that
apparently he's unhappy about the contract negotiation that has completely
gone sideways. He wrote thank you Dallas, and through a
couple emojis next to it, Michaeh. Parsons wants out of Big.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
D That's great, but he's not going anywhere.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
It's hard to take any of these demands from players lately. Seriously,
that's the initial feeling I got when I saw this.
I was like, he's not going anywhere. Think what happened
with Miles Garrett. He's not going He's not going anywhere.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
TJ.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Watt's not going anywhere. I don't think Terry McLaurin is
going anywhere, and I do not think Michael Parsons is
going anywhere. He is frustrated, he's mad, because when you
care about something, you write a goodbye like that. If
you truly did not care, you just be like Cowboys fans,
I'm gonna miss you and love you, but I've gotta
I've gotta move on. This is someone who cares and
does not really want to leave, and he's putting that

(06:10):
out so the fans can see. He wants Jerry Jones
to fix this. And what do we know about Jerry Jones.
He waits till the last minute to do the extensions.
I don't know why he likes to pay more, but
he does. He ends up paying more, So I don't
think he's going anywhere. That is my initial feeling.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
But by the way, I'm sorry. If it wasn't size
four fonts, it would be sixteen pages.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
Front and back, front and back, front and back. I
fell asleep, you fell asleep.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Oh sorry, my other side of it, because it is
the Cowboys, obviously, it makes me wonder.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
I always felt like Michael Parsons was the.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Thing that didn't move with the Cowboys, like he was
the cowboy right because there's been issues with Dak Prescott
issue obviously with Jerry Jones, that he was kind of
like the staple there. If this does end up going
further south and Michael Parsons does get traded, is this
the beginning of the spiraling out of the Cowboys as
we know it?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I think, because I sense that you're asking me, I
think that if Jerry Jones does trade Micah Parsons, he's
actually taking a stand and it would be the time
that he shows backbone and actually real GM qualities. Whether
it would be a good trade or not, who knows.
We've seen a lot of the graphics of the Khalil

(07:35):
Mack trade, the aj Brown trade after Treylon Burks was
released by the Titans earlier this week. That graphic was
shown up that was one by the Philadelphia Egos. It
was a bad trade by the Tennessee Titans. They failed
on it. I think that when the Khalil Mack trade
went down, we thought that the Bears were the ultimate winner.
The Raiders may not have gotten everybody that they would
have hoped in that deal, but Josh Jacobs was solid

(07:57):
for them for a while. So you look back at
these trades and it would take a while for you
to decipher whether it worked or not. And I just
think that if Jerry Jones were to do a deal,
which I think you're right. I don't disagree with anything
you said, but if he were to go down and
actually do the deed and trade Micah Parsons, it would

(08:17):
actually show Jerry Jones being a real general manager. And
that's part of the problem that I felt that is
missing with the Cowboys is because he always does cave in,
and it feels like that's an ownership sort of move
and not someone who is running your franchise. So if
he did trade Micah Parsons Monty, I actually think that
that would show something and show that Gary Jerry Jones

(08:38):
actually has some guts.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
Yeah, I don't think that's happening.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
I don't think show either.

Speaker 6 (08:42):
I just don't see because then that makes no sense.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Every other decision that Jerry Jones has made up up
until this point wouldn't make sense.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
We're the greatest Cowboys that you can remember of all
times because you're talking about current.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
Yeah, I'm talking about current right that he's the Staples.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Right, I say, Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Just to Tony Okay, tell me I knew Troy Aikman.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Perfect y, emmitts Smith Smith. Emmitt Smith's holdout is a
historic in the NFL because he actually did miss games
in the regular season. Now, he ended up rejoining the
team and they went on to go win a Super Bowl.
But Emmitt Smith and Jerry Jones were at a standoff
thirty years ago, and ultimately Emmitt Smith came back and

(09:24):
played in a Cowboys uniform. And so that's why I
say what I say is that if he actually did
the trade, that it would be a general manager sort
of move. But also, Micah Parsons can't think that he's
alone in this because I do think we think of
recent history or think that he's special in this case.
And look at Dak. We've talked about they overpaid Dak,
gave Ceedee Lamb his deal the san Ezekiel Elliott way

(09:46):
too early. So now the current thinking is, well, I'm
next in line, how are you gonna treat me? Jerry
Jones has tried to mess with the bull when it
comes to his players, and there's really none bigger than
Emmett's and it led to a holdout a long time ago.
So as we say all this stuff about Jerry Jones,

(10:06):
and I am not disagreeing with you in all of this,
I don't think that Michael Parsons should think that he's
out on an island and just because he hasn't gotten
a deal done, Especially to your point, I think this
is the only time that Micah Parsons can do this
because we're still four weeks away from the start of
the regular season. Get back to me in three weeks's
when he's not signed, or when the preseason games are

(10:28):
done and you're getting ready. That's the part where I
think it's where and I think to your point, that's
probably where we're going to get traction and Micah Parson
ends up coming back. But Michael Parsons is not alone
in this. It's just right now, I think this is
his only leverage that he has.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Yeah, he does have leverage because and this is part
of the thing too, why I don't see Jerry Jones
making a real GM move like you just described, because
Jerry Jones knows that someone will gladly pick up Michael Parsons,
and he would fear that Michael Parsons would be the
X factor on whatever other team he goes to and
then leads them to a long run in the playoffs,

(11:03):
like he would not he would never let forgive himself
for that. So he's never gonna let go of Michael Parsons.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
And here's but here's the news flash to that. What
defensive player has led a team to the playoffs?

Speaker 7 (11:16):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (11:17):
Ramson, thank you.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
I'm talking about one of one yes, but I gave
you one yes.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
He did. Good job, Manzi wins Monzy is correct, great job,
But give you one other way that was really good
because it was meant to be like an open ended
start of my question and then she answers it and
stuffs it in my face. But then then I say,
outside of Aaron Donald, like like, Michael Parsons is not
on the level of Aaron Donald. And here's the thing

(11:44):
about like Trey Hendrickson with the Bengals, does Trey Hendrickson
really make the difference for Cincinnati, considering he was on
a defense last year that couldn't stop anybody.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
M hmmmm.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
So like that's like so like when you're Cincinnati and
you're trying to figure out what to do, you're gonna overpay,
You're gonna you're gonna pay a guy. I shouldn't say
overpay a guy. You're gonna pay someone and commit to
them long term when it may not directly affect and
have an effect on your season. As crazy as that sounds,

(12:18):
I don't know if Dallas is set up defensively to
allow Micah Parsons to be the Micah Parsons and someone
that's gonna carry them to the next level. The lines
that have been set in Vegas, I guarantee have Micah
Parsons with the Cowboys cooked in and the win total
is seven and a half. Okay, So that so that's

(12:40):
what you're looking at if you're Dallas. So now somebody
wants to give you a king's ransom for Micah Parsons
and maybe wants to overpay for him, maybe you should
look at it. Maybe you should look at that option
because Micah Parsons isn't on defense, especially in the NFL.
Quarterback different story, maybe even wide receiver because of what
he does to your quarterback. But a defense player in

(13:01):
almost ninety nine point nine percent of the cases in
the NFL isn't necessarily going to lead you to that title.
And so that's where like if I'm Dallas and I'm thinking, okay,
it's not Aaron Donald, I'll even like, you know, someone
like JJ Watt who is so dominant during his time,
Like you're just talking about like a one man wrecking crew,
Like those players like that are few and far between,

(13:22):
and for as great as the accolades as Micah Parsons has,
is he at that level? And I think that would
be some of the cowboys that have to ask themselves
is he worth it to give that contract to? I
think that's a conversation they have to.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
Have, and that is a legit conversation to have. But
if he goes to a team where the defense is
already strong, he can be an X factor. You're right,
he's And Treyanndrickson is a perfect example with the Bengals
because we saw their defense last year couldn't stop anyone.
And so he if he does join a team that
is already good defensively, he can.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Be that X factor. I think he has it in
but you're right, they're far and few between. You make
the good point, but I.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
Just think Jerry Jones's ego, he wouldn't want to let
him go and fear that he does become an X factor.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
So I think you're right. And if the best offer
is to a team like you're not. You're not trading
him to the Eagles, right right.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
The Commanders or a team you know, it's like, who
wants him?

Speaker 4 (14:18):
The AFC, Yeah, you can have him.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
Go ahead, go ahead, go to New Orleans.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
The Saints would say the same thing I do when
defensive player is not going to make us. But if
you had Cam Jordan on one side, Michael Parson, who
knows what what could happen? That's all hypothetical and joking,
but it is an interesting point. And this is why
this is, by the way, why this is happening on
August first, If this was September one and Terry McLaurin
was saying what he was saying with the Commanders and
Michael Parsons was saying what he's saying, different story. And

(14:46):
I think that Terry McLaurin and Michael Parsons situations are
actually different. Not only are the offensive defenses players, but
mclaurin's got a little bit more, a little more equity
with the commanders. But the it also means that he's
a little bit older. Michaeh. Parsons, I think you would
say he's in his prime right now. But why does
Dallas have to trade him when they actually have the

(15:07):
ability to keep control of Micah Parsons for the next
two to three years. So they would need an offer
to really blow their socks off, and then it's up
to Jerry Jones to have the guts to do it.
I don't think Michah Parsons holds out. I think all
of these notes that and I'm not talking about the
iPhone note that he sent, but the notes that the
insiders have sent out obviously have been fueled from the

(15:30):
agent because the talking points are pretty much the same.
We've seen insiders from ESPN and NFL Network in other
places reiterating what Michah Parson's side has been saying, so
you know that they're not going on the offensive at
this point of the negotiations. Jason Stewart's our executive producer.

Speaker 9 (15:49):
I like the name that Monsey used ten minutes ago.
I think the Miles Garrett situation needs more probing. In
other words, the twenty four hour news cycle that we're
and we just completely glossed over the fact that Miles
Garrett scrubbed his social media account. I think he put
his house up for sale. He wrote a note to

(16:09):
Cleveland saying that I don't think you can win a
Super Bowl here, and I went out and then they
gave him a bunch of money and everyone just forgot
that he had said anything. And I'm thinking, isn't that
like that over exaggerating, negotiating tactic, this gen Z thing
that's going on, isn't that a deservice to the union.
And like Micah Parsons right now, like anything he does,

(16:32):
we're just taking less serious after a case like Miles
Garrett that we almost forget about how ridiculously exaggerating he
went with the tactic.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
He was so exaggerating. They were asking him names at
the Super Bowl of what teams he would like to
go to. He was answering questions like, yeah, I'd love
to go to the Commanders, Like what? But I also
think what is interesting in this and Jason I don't
know if this answered it or not. This is their window.

(17:03):
There's a weak window like the NFL is was going
to go away after the Super Bowl, in large part
for a couple of weeks before the Combine. What better
place to spread your message than at a gathering of
the league's biggest game where media from across the entire
country are So you release that statement and then you

(17:24):
go and make your rounds on radio row talking to everybody.
It's why this is being done on August first and
not September first, because now is their time to say
their piece if they truly want to miss games, which
Manzi doesn't think they want to do. What I think
you're saying with Miles Garrett was as long as you
pay me, I'm gonna play. And when I don't think
that Michael Parsons wants to miss any games. If you're

(17:45):
doing this on September first, four days before kickoff against
the Philadelphia Eagles, then it's a different story. Then you're
missing regular season games. But right now, I think it's
because of the window that they're in. And you'll say anything.
You'll say anything in your three page iPhone note in
four size font, cause there's just ramblings and ramblings of

(18:06):
this and that, and I tried to do this for Dallas,
like it's it's been four years, like all right, like
this is it's not like you were together for fifteen years.
This is all this all just fits in the window.
They're on serve if it's a tennis match. Now it's
time for Jerry to see if he's going to volley back.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
And that's exactly what I meant how you said the
window would close that if they actually do move on
from it. From Michael Parsons to me, this is the
unraveling of the Cowboys that we know right now.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
You think it's the unraveling. I think it would be
if he just if they would trade.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
Him, right, yes, if they would trade him.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I again, I think that it would be Jerry Jones
actually being a GM and running his football team and
running it away. Decision good or bad, we wouldn't know
until it all like sorts out. But at least you're
taking a stand and not in essence just taking the
easy way out and giving them all the money because
the season is.

Speaker 6 (18:56):
Closer and now you're taking the stand.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Now that sucks, be Michael Parsons.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
So that windows closed, then the Jerry Jones is accepted.
I'm gonna be a good GM and close up this
window and we'll try again in a couple of years.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
I think he's just would be a GM. Like I
think like there are there are moves that this happens
in the NBA more often than not. There are moves
that are afforded to certain teams because of certain positions
that they're in, because they're contenders, because they can add
a veteran, and teams want to play for them. I've
talked about this with the with the Bucks, Like when
the Bucks win a title, doors opened up because Giannis

(19:30):
is there to them that they had never had before
as a small market team that didn't win a lot
of games. So they just brought everybody in. Hey, this
old veteran wants to play for us, this old veteran,
let's just sign him. Let's sign him. None of it
is any like sort of like does this fit in
our program? How is this going to work? How can
we be smart with his salary? What sort of deal? Like?
Those are tough, real decisions you have to make for

(19:51):
a team, and I think Jerry makes easy decisions all
the time in the NBA. I think there are easy decisions.
Guess what so and so is going to be released
by the Blazers. He's gonna sign with Boston on Tuesday.
We know that before the paperwork is even done of
the player being released, because it's the easy way out.
We just funnel him to the good team. This guy's
gonna sign with the Lakers. This would actually be Jerry

(20:12):
Jones putting his foot in the ground and saying, all right,
I made mistakes in the past and I'm sorry. Nothing
personal Michael Parsons, even though it seems to have become personal.
But I'm gonna make a decision that I feel now
is the best interest of our football team, whether the
fans like it or not. Michael Parsons isn't leading them
to a super Bowl right now. Dak has the ability.
As crazy as that sounds like, if Dak would a
play out of his mind, they have a better chance

(20:33):
if Dak has a career year than if Michael Parsons does.
But that just comes with the quarterback position.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
You cannot teach an old dog new tricks.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
I don't see Jerry Jones doing that, and I think
Jerry Jones kind of what you're saying, he's like, I've
got the Cowboys, I've got the brand, like you should
want to stay here. And I don't see him changing
that tune because that's how he has approached every other
contract he's had to deal with.

Speaker 6 (20:59):
It's like you should want to be here, and then
he gives in and he gives you the money.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
And that's the thing is like the money is there
because of how much money the Cowboy's name makes.

Speaker 6 (21:06):
It's a brand. It's not just the team, it's a brand.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
How do you, Jason, just to wrap up your Miles
Garrett points on this, did you believe Miles Garrett statement
more than what Michael Parsons put out today like at
the time, or did you see through that?

Speaker 9 (21:23):
I don't remember. I think I saw through it. I
think I thought it was bus But my point being
like when you do all these tactics, you're crying wolf
more than ever. So the next guy that needs to
negotiate a contract, people just kind of eye roll to
this stuff. This has just become like normalized, Like it's

(21:43):
just so extreme that it's kind of like our political
thing culture. It's like you do extreme things and then
things become normal and then it's much less impactful for
Mike go to send out that statement. Now, I think
after Miles Garrett went even further, you know, am I
making my point?

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Yeah, which is why Monci says that he's ultimately gonna
be in a Cowboys uniform one against Philadelphia.

Speaker 5 (22:07):
Absolutely, I would have I thought, I think it would
have been more effective kind of what you're saying, Jason,
if it would have been like a one liner I'm out,
like a fax from Michael Jordan, I'm back.

Speaker 6 (22:18):
I'm out.

Speaker 8 (22:19):
Sure, then all.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Of this I don't care about you. Here's a sixteen
page letter front and back as I don't but that
I don't care, but.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
I don't care. No, you do care.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
And if you would have just said I'm out, then people,
then the speculation would have been a little bit different.

Speaker 6 (22:33):
But you care, you want to stay there, You're just
trying to.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
I just I love the insider orgy of all of
Micah Parsons talking points that just came out, like everybody
they're all tweeting it at the same time because they
all got it at the same time, like this is
what like it's it was just absurd. That's why this
is It's all calculated. Absolutely, would you say much ado
about nothing? Yes, Okay, I'm out. She's Monty Belanos, I'm

(22:56):
Dan Byer. We're gonna be uh big awards coming here. Uh.

Comun and Rich here on Fox Sports Radio. It's a Friday.
Thanks to Hunter Mahan for joining us here on Fox
Sports Radio discussing his role as Adam Sandler's body double
and Happy Gilmore too.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Yeah, that was awesome. Again, he just sounded so giddy
about it. Right, It's so cute.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
I wonder if his wife could tell you know, those
shots are right?

Speaker 6 (23:32):
Maybe, but again, you're not supposed to.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Yes, you're if you're so close to the person, you
know when it's that's your shoulder.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Yes, I sleep next to it every single day. That
is your shoulder. I know it is.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
No, actually, honey, that was Adam Sandler. How do you
not know my shoulder?

Speaker 4 (23:48):
All?

Speaker 7 (23:49):
Right?

Speaker 4 (23:49):
I would I would think that she she do. And
again I'm gonna definitely watch the final scene to see
if I can decipher or not. Uh, the the things
that the Chicago Bears have to dis lifer is is
Caleb Williams going to be their generational quarterback that they
had hoped when they took him with the first overall
pick in the twenty twenty four NFL Draft. She's Monty Bilagio.

(24:10):
So I'm Dan Byer in for Cavino and rich And
Caleb Williams made comments in talking about the upcoming season,
saying that he faces no pressure entering year number two
in Chicago, in year number one under new head coach
Ben Johnson, telling Waddell and Sylvia on ESPN Radio in Chicago, quote,
pressure is not a thing for me. I don't think

(24:32):
of it that way. Here's more from the Bears quarterback.

Speaker 10 (24:35):
Pressure is in a pressure is not a thing for me.
I don't, you know, think of life that way in
the situation that I'm in. And so, you know, we
keep chugging along, and you know, there's gonna be ups
and downs, and it's not you know, it's not my
job to care about with the outside, you know, noises
and things like that. My jobs take care of everything
in here and go out there and play, you know,
And I didn't you know, I I know we didn't

(24:59):
win as many you know, games we wanted to last year,
but you know, I didn't go twenty and twenty in
interceptions and things like that, So you know, take it
for what you want. But no pressure is uh previlege.
Pressure is a privilege. But you know, in the situation
that I'm at, I don't think I have pressure.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Interesting angle to look at it. I think that anytime
you're an NFL quarterback that you're under some sort of pressure.
Very very few extreme instances when you're a quarterback in
the National Football League are you not facing some sort
of pressure. Whether he feels it or not may be
a different story, Manzi, But there is pressure on Caleb

(25:39):
Williams in year two, especially with a new head coach.
And I also think that there's pressure other ways. Maybe
it's better for him to deal with it. But to
think that there's no pressure, I just don't think that's accurate.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Of course it's not accurate.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Of course there's tons of pressure, and it's different with
every quarterback. But coming into the season for Callable and
last year, the expectation was already high. Like we talk
about cam Ward, how there's not a lot of attention
for a number one overall pick. The way we've seen
in other drafts, he has all had the attention since
being at USC. Last year obviously didn't live up to

(26:16):
maybe some people's expectation.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
It was only year one. But now you have a
new coach, you have new players around.

Speaker 5 (26:21):
You, and you're in a division that is really fun
and exciting, and so you kind of have a.

Speaker 6 (26:27):
Lot of pressure.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
Not just you, Caleb Williams, you the team, the Chicago
Bears have the pressure to compete in that division.

Speaker 6 (26:35):
That is probably one of the most exciting coming into
the season for me.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
For as much of a train wreck as we felt
the Bear season was last year and the way that
they lost to the Commanders and other things that happened,
and the Lions and Ben Johnson running their fumble trick play,
you know, kind of making a mockery of him. Caleb
is right in the comments and saying that I didn't
throw twenty and twenty, He didn't throw twenty interceptions only
through six did throw twenty touchdowns, Like, so there is

(27:01):
something with that. There did seem to be lapses at
times if you felt that there was cohesion within the
offense Dj Moore. At times you were wondering if he
was getting frustrated and at times checking out because of
the frustration. So all of that needs to be corrected,
but it ultimately goes back to the quarterback. And I
think your point about the division is fair, and I

(27:23):
think Caleb Williams. You mentioned cam Ward, and cam Ward
wasn't top ten in overall prospects on some draft boards
even though he went number one overall. There's that obvious
pressure of being a quarterback. But Caleb Williams not only
was the first overall pick last year and we felt
that he was the first overall pick as soon as
the previous season ended, but he's now in a draft

(27:44):
class that is Jaydon Daniels in it, and like it
or not, you're compared to other quarterbacks that were in
your draft class during that time. So there's a weird
new pressure that guess what, Caleb Williams is actually going
to have to compete And by all accounts, and I
know it's early, but Drake may he's gotten pretty positive
reviews in New England as he's entering year number two.

(28:04):
Is they also have a new regime with Mike Vrabel
taking over. So now with Caleb Williams. It's not only
dealing with Bears fans, it's not only dealing with the
division that you talk about. But I think there's also
a conversation that in his play will do the talking,
but a conversation of just that draft class alone. And
I haven't talked about the other quarterbacks of Bo Nix
and Michael Pennox junior and who knows what happens with

(28:25):
JJ McCarthy within that division, but it's becoming a really,
really good quarterback draft class, and when you're number one,
there's pressure from it from the.

Speaker 5 (28:33):
Get go, absolutely excellent points with the all those other
quarterbacks that are going to try to prove something. So
him acting like it's not a big I'm not bothered
by that. Like if you need to say that to
yourself and approach the season this way, I'm not bothered
by it.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
But I hope when you are alone in your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
You actually do know the pressure that you have coming
into the season. But I have no problem him saying
it out loud, But there is were.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
You do you get nervous? Like do you ever get
nervous before Tuesday night volleyball games? Do you ever get nervous?

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Yea, Like sometimes yeah, like excitement, Yeah, yeah, I get
excited and nervous sometimes, you know, when we're about to
do a show all that.

Speaker 6 (29:12):
Yeah, Like it's still hatty.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
I know that's not what he's talking about. Like, you know,
he's talking about the pressure and nerves. But sometimes there
are people who are like, I don't feel nervous, and
I just don't. Like that's so foreign to me. You know,
I almost think that something's missing sometimes if you don't
have that for other people say that as well. That's
not necessarily what he's saying. He plays it pretty cool.
Came off of a season where almost everything went wrong

(29:35):
and still thirty five hundred yards mentioned the twenty touchdowns
and six interceptions, and now you're gonna have not only
you're gonna have an offensive coordinator for an entire season,
something that Bears didn't have last year, but now your
head coach has been brought in to make sure that
you work. There's a lot of time, and honestly, in Chicago,
the bars set so low because of the awful quarterbacks

(29:56):
that they've had in their history. It doesn't take a
lot to top it. But when we talk about the
grand scheme of things Division Draft class and really the
rest of the NFL. There's still a ways to go.
For Caleb Williams. The Wrigley Field news not necessarily surprising
and have been out there for a while, and Rob
Manfred made comments about it. Manfred is also on record

(30:16):
as saying the twenty twenty eight All Star Game could
be headed to Toronto, making those comments previously not officially announced.
But you know there's some events that are set up
five years in advance, and some golf. It's ridiculous US Opens. Honestly,
we know where the twenty fifty one US Open is
going to be. That's how ridiculous it is. Yes, I know,

(30:36):
I know the twenty fifty one US Open will be
at Oakland Hills Country Club in Michigan. But it's absurd.
But all Star games, we only know Philadelphia next season
and then twenty twenty seven Wrigley Field, and then twenty
twenty eight likely Toronto. But you know, the NBA doesn't
do that with All Star Games either. They don't schedule

(30:57):
six out. You know, it's just maybe like a year
in advance. But that's what you've got from Major League
Baseball hasn't been at Wrigley. Yes, in thirty five years.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
Well, it's exciting. I can't get over what you just said.
Though about golf, I'm still stuck on that. I there's
reasons for plan for twenty fifty one.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Yeah, there's the agreements. They made agreements with clubs for
multi years.

Speaker 6 (31:20):
Can I book a flight already for twenty fifteen?

Speaker 9 (31:21):
Actually, guys, I'm concerned.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
I'm actually at the US off inside at twenty fifty
one Oakland Hills twenty fifty two canceled due to meteor.

Speaker 4 (31:29):

(33:13):
a good time here on Fox Sports Radio. If you
didn't last week and he didn't hear the news, Happy
Gilmore two, forty six point seven million viewers watched the
new movie on Netflix, the largest ever for a in
the United States. For a Netflix opening, Forty six point

(33:37):
seven million viewers watched Happy Gilmore two. And when you
watched Happy Gilmore two, you were probably pointing out all
the cameos in the show, but there was one name
that you may have missed because you didn't know that
you were watching him. And he joins us right now.
You know him from his great days of playing on
the PGA Tour. Six time PGA Tour winner, now turned

(34:02):
pseudo actor playing the role of Happy Gilmore's stand in
for Happy Gilmore too, Hunter Mayhon joins the program here
on Fox Sports Radio. Hello, Hunter, great to talk to
you again.

Speaker 7 (34:14):
Who are you very good? That was quite an introduction.
I appreciate that, Thank you well.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
I did not know about this. This was kept under
wraps and only after the movie was revealed did we
know that you were in this role. So, how in
the world do you get approached to do this for
Happy Gilmore too? Who approaches you? How do you end
up being the stand in to Adam Sandler?

Speaker 7 (34:42):
Yeah, so I think. I mean they were obviously they
were shooting the movie, and this was at the end
of September, like the Ober. I got a My agent
called me and she had like a bewildered sort of tone,
newer voice. She's like, I got She's like the Happy
Acid team called out. They're doing Happy gal More obviously,

(35:05):
and they need She's like, I think they need like
a swing person. She's like, she's not. They didn't explain
it very well, and I'm guessing somebody who maybe doesn't
no golf well called her and kind of talked to
her about it. But I said, I think they just
want me to swing for him or be there on
the golf course. And I was kind of surprised because
I figured someone could do it right. It wouldn't be

(35:27):
that difficult to kind of get the stuff on and
go swing it. But I said, well, I'm super interested.
That's all amazing, but I was coaching high school golf.
We had a tournament the next past. This happen on Saturday,
and so I got to leave on Sunday. We got
a two day tournament, and it's a big tournament because
it's where we hold state in about about six months later,

(35:47):
so I said, hold on, let me see if I
can get some my assistant down there. I'll tell the
school I can't leave the kids just kind of hanging randomly.
Luckily we got it all sorted. I left on a
Tuesday and showed up Wednesday morning, got all dressed up
in the jerseys and the Adidas and Adidas pants, got

(36:09):
the boots on, got the beard on, got the hair
all colored, and started making some swings. And by Friday
they said I got I got the job, and I'm
going to be there for the next six weeks. And
just basically when Adam stepped on the golf course, I
stepped on the golf course. And if I'm needed, I'm needed.
If I'm not, I'm not. But I got to be
there ready for whatever whatever you know the movie needs.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
That's amazing. So you like your role was way more
than you know, even Xander Schaffley and Ricky Fowler doing
their back and forth or like you're there for basically
the entire film. Correct.

Speaker 7 (36:41):
Well, so I was there for like a spot six weeks.
But this is a big shoot, Like everything from what
I gathered about this movie was big. They they they
had to make it right, and they had to make
it good. There's so much they've never done sequel. There
was so much momentum, there was so much kind of
want for the movie, and and and then all of
a sudden you sort of saw him and from early

(37:03):
on pictures and it just started to kind of go
from there, and so I think the pressure mounted. But
it was a big shoot, like it was long. It
was at least three months, I think of shooting in
a different locations in different places. So it was a
big old movie. And I think you kind of saw
that on the on Netflix.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Yeah, Hunter mayheon joining us here on Fox Sports Radio.
You know, I'm from PGA tour days. What you may
not have known was that he was the body double
to Adam Chandler in Happy Gilmore too.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
Hunter, thank you for joining us. You're speaking like a
true body double.

Speaker 5 (37:33):
I got to know how many times did you practice
that swing? Because Happy Gilmore swing is not a normal
golf swing.

Speaker 6 (37:40):
How many times did you practice that?

Speaker 7 (37:43):
Yeah, So after I got the call, my wife was like,
go get a club right now. You need to start practicing.
You need there. They were gonna want you to swing,
and they want you to swing like came and then
I kind of at this moment, I was like, I'm
not really sure what they wanted because, like I said,
it wasn't very clear. But she's like, you got start,
this is what they want. And so I actually sent
in a swing prior, just on the rain. I was

(38:07):
actually a high school tournament and just made a few.
But it took me. I mean I talked on Saturday
at practiced on Sunday and almost every day just to
sort of get because Adam's swing is actually pretty unique
and it's pretty obvious that it's him right. It's got
that fall fall through and everything and the footwork. I
watched the first movie. I talked to people when I

(38:28):
was there. We saw Adam probably on a Thursday, and
he kind of talked about it briefly and so kind
of went through the different steps of it. But getting
the steps down, it's a it's a weird move because
you're walking forward, but you got to take the quote backwards,
and so that kind of takes you a lot of
your momentum. So it's it's it's something you need to practice,
if I you know, to make it look right and

(38:48):
to look good. And I was hitting live balls a
lot of the time there, so I wanted to make
sure I got good contact and control the ball as
best I could.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Your man joining us here at Given and Rich on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 9 (39:00):
Hey, hawdra, I know that being around those all those
comic actors and the cameos and whatnot, is there like
a story that you could tell us that didn't make
the film, an exchange or maybe an improvisation that's radio
friendly that you could share with us. The one thing
that sticks out most.

Speaker 7 (39:21):
Well, a few things. One is like it was written
very specific, which I was surprised about, Like Adam and
Tim Harley, like they wrote the movie as you almost
saw it, like all the jokes and everything, like it
was very detailed. It was not a whole lot of
making it up, which kind of surprised me because there

(39:41):
were so many incredible people on it. I thought it
was interesting. Was like love It really made Adam laugh
that was really funny. Just his small little scene in
that kind of two tier driving range, like Adam was dying,
and you could tell like that didn't need to be
in the movie, but you could tell like Adam loved
him and wanted him in it because he's just funny.

(40:02):
He's just walking around and he's funny. And that was
for us. That was cool because we were that was
like one day. It took all day, and so on
that day we were just hitting balls on the range
half the day and so Loveitz is on there hitting
balls and we're like fil him in his swinging and
we're talking about it, Adam hitting balls and he's like,
my knee hurts. I can't really swing that as well,
and I practice as much as I want. So that

(40:23):
was really cool from my perspective. Just watching him play,
I thought, uh, there was Marcelo. I think Hernandez we
played Esteban was hilarious, Like he just had a very
small kind of click kind of two scenes, but he
was so funny just like put him in the movie,
like he was making Adam crack up. We were all
just laughing. Just I mean, he had like two lines,

(40:46):
but they were It was just amazing. He was just
really physically funny, and the way he moved, the way
he talked, and just everything about him was hilarious. I
thought those two guys, to me, were just amazing.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
I don't know if you crossed pass by the way.
Hunter man joining us here on Fox Sports Radio on
Kvino en Rich. She's Monty Blaio. So I'm Dan Bayer.
Jason Stewart's here ISAA glowing crown. Iowa Sam sitting in
for the guys today. I don't know if you've got
a chance to cross paths. As Hunter was the body
double to Adam Sandler and Happy Gilmour two. I loved
Vern Lunquist, Like, so, like when you watched the movie, like,

(41:17):
did you did you know like Verne's lines? Did you
know all the lines? Was the movie still funny to
you as you rewatched it? What was that experience? Like?

Speaker 7 (41:26):
Yeah, no, so I didn't see a lot of what
you saw. I mean, I was it was funny because,
like I said, the movie's a big movie, had multiple sets,
it was in multiple places. Sure, I didn't know Vern
was going to be doing it. I knew that there
was always rumors of like eminem and post Malone and
kind of different people that were going to be in
the movie. But that's I thought, like Vern was a

(41:46):
great example and Scotty and everybody how much people love
this movie, and they just went all for it, like
Scottie getting arrested and Vern's cursing on the show. I mean,
everybody went all in. They did not hide from anything,
and they you know, they just Adam just convinced him
like this is going to be great, this is going
to be funny, and this is going to be going
to make the movie so much better. And that was

(42:07):
so cool. As you saw everyone just went all in
and just had so much fun with it.

Speaker 4 (42:12):
It was an amazing, amazing time watching obviously Hunch.

Speaker 5 (42:16):
You know all the golfers, But what about the other cameos.
Did you have any experiences with Bad Bunny, with Travis Kelcey,
with Kelsey Plumb.

Speaker 7 (42:26):
Yeah, so that was cool that the tournament champions scene,
it was so fun because they just they put me
in when I was there, they were like, we're just
going to put you in it since you're obviously an
established golfer and you should be You would be in
there anyway, so you should be in there. So they
put me in it, which was awesome because I knew
Travis was going to be in it. Yeah, it was
awesome to see bad Bunny. I heard he was he's

(42:46):
really wanted to get in acting, and he was really
kind of not begging for the role, but he really
put himself out there and wanted to be in this movie.
And it was great of Adam. He was fantastic, made
it look easy. Kelsey was awesome. He was just such
a pro. Like I don't know, you see him in
many different lights, but he's someone who gets it and
makes it look very easy, and he understands that this

(43:08):
isn't his movie. He's here to do his job, and
then packed it in such a great way. He was
such a pro. Got a good picture with him. You know,
my wife, I'm pretty upset and they didn't go up
and take a picture with him, but I did because
he was amazingly nice and totally he tuck to all
the extras and all that. You know, just imagine a
roomful of dudes and Travis Kelsey's walking in there and act.

(43:30):
You got a lot of questions, a lot of attention,
and he handled it incredibly well. So everyone on set,
you follows Adams Adam's lead, which is we're gonna be
gracious and nice, and we're going to make sure that
everyone is a part of the movie because they are
a part of the movie, and he makes everyone feel
totally special.

Speaker 4 (43:46):
You know, this may be a stupid question. I feel
a little stupid asking, but did you know when it
was you in watching the film or because I was
I didn't watch it until Sunday night, so I had
I had known that you were in, and so I'm like, okay,
I'm gonna try it to try to figure out where
I could see it was you. And honestly, I couldn't, like,
would you be able to tell like in like that's me,

(44:08):
that's Adam, that's me? Were you able to tell yourself?

Speaker 7 (44:11):
Yeah, there were some some scenes I knew they're kind
of quick. I mean, you got to think they had
eight nine hours of footage of shooting this movie, so
there was a lot to cut down. I was on
the course we hit some you know, we spent like
an hour trying to like stuff shots and they were
trying to get slow mode cameras of shots. They were
trying to get the ball, you know, digging into the

(44:33):
dirt and massive divits and sand shots and there was
all kinds of like other stuff that was going on
kind of while they were shooting the movie. There's some
long distance like PGA tour camera stuff that I hit
and they're like, hit it short right in the water,
you know, shake it it. Love being like. So there's
like a ton of stuff they shot that they didn't

(44:54):
use of me. But there's a few few definite times
when like the thing is spinning around at the very
end green that's me from the from the top view
when me back to me sitting around there because I
was on there for long enough and Adam's like, are
you okay? And I'm just giving them thumbs up because
I've got to be a good soldier because I'm not
feeling great, but he knew that. And there's just little

(45:16):
things like that, like my feet and the swings and
slow moos and certain stuff like that. But there's a
ton of the you know, there was a ton cut
out of that because it's moving, that's what you do.
But it was cool, I mean, just to be on
set every day. Yeah, watch how these things work. And
it's so slow and painful at times for everyone. You
can tell, but boy, they had a vision and they

(45:38):
just kind of kept working with that and it came
out really cool.

Speaker 4 (45:40):
Well, you know, just to follow up on that, so
you got not to give away the ending or anything,
but for all those of us that have all seen it,
and a lot of us have that final scene, let's
just say that there's some movement you got, you kind
of got ill, you got sick from just dizzy. What
was the what was the feeling?

Speaker 7 (45:56):
Well, that green was real, like they you know, it's
kind of funny because it looked biker than it really
was like that they made that They made that thing
go up and down, to move all around and spin
with some with some heat. So that's what was really
interesting and amazing because sometimes it looks really fake, but
it really wasn't. That whole scheme was real and that

(46:18):
dream was real, and that thing was humming that was
not like or official by any means. And so yeah,
we were on that thing spinning around and around and
it's like we got to get perfect angle the sun
the heights they want to see if they get the
ball moving, and so there was a lot of shots
taken more so than that you know, three second shot
that you see on TV. It was like minutes and

(46:39):
minutes and minutes to make sure it gets right, and
you know, got to make it look perfect for the
big screen.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
I swear all of us just thought, AI, right, that's all.
That's probably what we thought. Then, Yeah, you took one
for the team. Well, well, it was an awesome, awesome movie.
We enjoyed it. We'll watch it again and again. I
hope you get some royalties from this. Like I don't
know what the deal is, but I'll be looking out
for you. And yeah, it's always great to talk to you.
Thanks for shedding some light on what is likely going

(47:07):
to be something you'll never forget. We appreciate it. Hunter,
good to talk to you, man.

Speaker 7 (47:11):
Thank you, appreciate you. Guys.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
All right, we'll talk to you soon. Hunter Mayhan PGA Tour,
six time PGA Tour Champion, now body double to Adam Sandler,
Happy Gilmore too.

Speaker 6 (47:21):
So awesome. I you know, I have acted.

Speaker 5 (47:24):
We've talked about this, and I have friends who act,
and I have a friend who was the body double
for like Lady Gaga in American Horror Story and now
she's Jennifer Amston's body double for the Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (47:35):
And so it's so funny because when.

Speaker 5 (47:36):
You ask, like could you tell when it's when it's
you versus you know, actual Adam Sandler, you should not
be able to tell the difference, like you should not
be able to, And it's usually when they're walking away,
and it's like the back of their head when like
there's a scene in American Horror Story Lady Gaga, I
think if I remember correctly, it's been a while, but
she kills someone or she chokes someone, and it's like,
that wasn't Lady Gaga's hand. That was my friend's hand

(47:58):
who did the killing her, like the stabbing or whatever
it was. It's whenever you don't see their face. Typically
it's the body double.

Speaker 4 (48:05):
That's And you're one hundred percent right like with that,
like we shouldn't be able to. We shouldn't be and
I couldn't and I.

Speaker 5 (48:11):
Couldn't exactly, and they're not gonna make it where you squint,
you're like, was that him?

Speaker 6 (48:15):
They don't want that. I wanted to look as smooth
as possible. So typically, like if they're walking away, it's
just a body part. It's probably the.

Speaker 5 (48:22):
Body double, especially because Adam Sandler not there's people who
you know in the business who are lazy and don't
want to be on set.

Speaker 6 (48:29):
They want to be on set as little amount as possible.

Speaker 5 (48:31):
Adam sandler situation was, he wrote it, he produced it,
he directed it, like he had other things to do.

Speaker 6 (48:36):
It wasn't that he didn't want to be on set.

Speaker 5 (48:37):
He was running the show, sure, and so I'm sure
he did a lot of a lot more work than
maybe even a typical body double because of how much work.

Speaker 6 (48:45):
Adam said Sailor had to do to get this, you know, going.

Speaker 4 (48:48):
Jason Stewart's been on set of TV shows, so you
know a little bit of the run around. But it
was interesting just to hear how to give his perspective
and and just a life on set of a of
a major production.

Speaker 9 (49:00):
I think what came out was like and he alluded
to this, but it's something that I think people don't
quite understand unless you have shot something, and that the
first couple of days you're just kind of like in
awe of how the whole thing works, and you're seeing
people that you're familiar with, actors and whatnot, and then
just the way things work and how it's all about

(49:22):
hurry up and wait and so much patience, and like,
I think that he experienced that and that and then
you get over that, and probably by day three or
four he got kind of used to it. But that's
the thing that I think that most people who aren't
in the business that either kind of get hired into
for a day or two, they're just kind of mesmerized
by how everything works, and it's really neat to experience.

Speaker 4 (49:43):
The funny thing that I thought. And I don't think
that Hunter's gone. I don't think you would disagree with this.
Hunter may looks nothing like Adam.

Speaker 6 (49:49):
Sandler, absolutely, you know, like like like and so it
doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
No, you're right, it doesn't matter. And Sam sent us
one of the stills that Hunter had of him and
his happy Gilmore you know, get up and you know
he looks pretty close, but there's a lot of makeup
and a lot of stuff to be done. And yeah,
just fooled me, Like I couldn't tell on camera.

Speaker 5 (50:09):
They were like, is it the same height, same kind
of you know weight, perfect will make you look like him.

Speaker 6 (50:15):
Height is what they really want to be right on
the money.

Speaker 4 (50:17):
Yeah, he provided a lot of insight just to know
that the end of the movie wasn't fake. Is now
something that I'll go back and watch and take a look.
I totally thought a lot of that was AI star, sure,
and then stuff that you can do, you know, a
technology now the days. I never would have thought, even
though like the TGL has their greens that move up

(50:40):
and down that we see the indoor thing like this
was like a different version of that, And I just
thought for what they did and what they were trying
to do, that it would be that it was just
somehow imaginary and they were able to make it but
green screen or something like that. But apparently that wasn't
the case.

Speaker 9 (50:56):
That was fun, That was a fun conversation. Yes, I
kind of wanted an I didn't think it was like
necessarily relevant. But the biggest challenge for me and Monci,
I don't know if you thought this, but I've been
on sets with amazing Craft Service, and then there was
like sets with like kind of their own sweet factory
that's like all candy and chocolate and then they refill

(51:17):
it when it gets well. It's hard not to gain
ten pounds absolutely on Craft Service alone. Yeah, I was
just wondering what Hunter's experience was with them.

Speaker 5 (51:24):
You know, I have a feeling that they had a
great craft services because it's absolutely you know what I'm saying,
because of the stars, but like you're right, they it's
hard to stay away from the goodies.

Speaker 6 (51:34):
When you're on set.

Speaker 4 (51:34):
Plus Hunter was on tour for you know, well over
a decade, so they didn't have bad food at the
player's lounge or anything like that, so I'm sure it
was up to the level.

Speaker 5 (51:45):
He sounded also so like giddy about it, still just
so well that happy about it.

Speaker 4 (51:50):
That's the other part of it is so all of
the players that are there are either his contemporaries or
guys that he may have mentored, like Ricky Fowler, you know,
played at Oklahoma State. They're all in the movie. They're
into their career. So he's not gonna get I mean,
he was competing against these guys. He's not gonna get
awestruck by any of the players and knows them on
a personal level, friends with some of them. But it's

(52:12):
different when you cross into that different world. So even
though he's an athlete, he's in awe of Travis Kelcey
and says his wife would you know, would have killed
him if he didn't get a picture obviously working with
Adam Sandler. When he gets the offer, he's like, oh
my goodness, I want to you know, this is something
that once in a lifetime opportunity. Yeah. Yeah, it is
neat to see that because he because he was you know,

(52:33):
he was a Ryder Cup Teams the whole deal. Like
he was. He was really really good when he was
on the PGA tour and it's neat to see that.
You can get awestruck by other spots.

Speaker 6 (52:44):
Absolutely, what a great experience.

Speaker 4 (52:46):
Yes, yes, glad that he was able to join us.
And I'm sure more people will watch the movie if
they haven't already this weekend, or will letting up going
for a second serving, and some may actually finish the
movie now to see that final scene, to see if
they can get to the get to the rotating green
