Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, thanks for listening to the best of Cabino and
Rich podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Be sure to catch us live every day from five to.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Seven pm the eastern two to four pacifics on Fox
Sports Radio. Find your local station for Gabino and Rich
at Fox Sports Radio dot com, or stream us live
every day on the iHeartRadio app by searching FSR. Travison
Taylor not even thirty seconds into the show, I know relations, guys,

(00:31):
wishing you the very best from your friends at CNR.
That guy with the smooth, buttery voice is the greatest
producer in the land. He's the man, the pimp known
as Danny G. Yeah, he is the g. We got Sam,
we got long Crown, We got you hanging out with us.
We be rocking out. I don't know about Danny G.
According to a blimp that was flying over LA over

(00:51):
the weekend, ice cubes of pimp. Well, that's why I
use those words like, we're gonna talk maybe if we
have time. It's the quickest two hours of the day,
favorite two hours of the week. If we have time,
we'll talk some ice cube. We got to show time,
mahomes trivia, we got some NFL to talk about, best

(01:11):
promos in sports. Like I said, I don't want to
overpromise because we tend to do that. But that's why
we have a bonus pod called over Promised, where we
get to things that we didn't have time for. It's
on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page. It's actually on our
YouTube page right now. It's YouTube dot com slash at
Covino and Rich FSR At Covino and rich FSR. We
are streaming live, but you can also get our bonus

(01:33):
podcast there. Episode one oh five dropped last week. It's
one of my favorite things we do. But the big
story today, Yes, of course we're getting closer and closer
to football. Yes, and yes we're getting closer to baseball playoffs.
But the biggest story today is Kelsey and Taylor Swift
are officially engaged. Yeah, and Taylor again, As the headline says,

(02:01):
you're the English teacher and your gym teacher tied the
knot getting married. But you know what, man, yay. I
am happy for them. I mean that everybody loves a
good love story. We always see so much crap in
the news. It's nice to see two love birds having fun.
But much like everything in our culture, and that involves

(02:23):
social media. Eventually, they're just looking for stuff to tear
this story down. That'll happen. It's gonna be a tabloid
sort of nightmare eventually, because people are just trying to
tear good things down all the time. That's just the
world we live in, especially with social media. Like I said, well,
I do wish him all the best. I think it's great.
I think there's sort of a match made in heaven.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Agreed.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I thought the match made at Hebu was a macho
man and Elizabeth though that was.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
A great one too.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
But you know what it really really proves or reminds everybody.
You got to think back to where this started, this
love story, where it all started. You know, he had
the hots for her, like millions and millions of other people,
but he's Travis Kelcey and you're not.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
And he was a fan of her music.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
I gave him all the credit in the world for that,
because a lot of guys don't even admit that he
did the corny bracelet. Yeah, he was all bold and
he was trying to hand off some friendship. He tried
to meet her at the show and was denied, and
then he went out on his own podcast and said, yo,
I want to take her on a day he had
the bracelet, like Danny G said. And I think the
moral of the story is this, you got to shoot

(03:26):
your shot because this guy, I mean, he really was
just a big, dopey football player and she was an
international superstar. He shot his shot. He's a smooth guy.
I'm not trying to take anything away from he's got game,
he's good looking, all that. But she didn't know him,
she didn't follow football. Shot his shot. And now he's
marrying the biggest pop star in the world. And I'm

(03:48):
not trying to downplay, you know, his accomplishments and who
he is because to guys like us and football fans
and Americans, we all love Travis Kelsey. We think he's great,
super charismatic guy. But Taylor Swift is and I hate
to say this rich, but the Michael Jackson of our time.
Not comparing her to Michael Jackson, I'm just saying of
our time right now, there's nobody bigger. So the reminder, guys,

(04:10):
shoot your shot, Shoot your shot. What's that Hamilton song,
I'm not gonna miss my shot?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
What did Eminem say?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
You only get one shot? Do not miss your chance
to blow. This opportunity comes with this once in a
lifetime yo, So you gotta give him credit for that.
Shoot your shot. Guys, whatever it is, whether it be
a promotion, a new job, a new woman, a new opportunity,
go for it, as has the lame song, and Rocky
five said, go full root. No.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I mean that is like the moral of the story.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
This guy is marrying the biggest star in the world, right, Yeah,
you know what I watched, and she adores him.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
That's the other thing I watched.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I finally finished the Billy Joel documentary on HBO Max
last night. Big Billy Joel fan. I'm an East Coast
guy originally, and.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
We all are.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
But I don't like after like nineteen eighty one, that's ridiculous.
I feel like so many of his great songs are
on that Stormfront album. I even like River Dreams. You don't,
but that's corn. We only do eighties Billy Joel, I
don't really do that. He likes was like fifty second
Street or nothing. I stopped like moving out and he's

(05:19):
still rock and roll to me, A town girl and
all that's eighties.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I like Uptown Girl. That what year is that that's
why all eighties.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
That's on the Christy Brinkley but Again inspired album. He's
a legend and he's another guy who shot his shot.
But he was also an international superstar who had all
sorts of hot models all over. So I bring up
Billy Joel and I compare this only because being a
celebrity couple.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
What are you spying on me with your phone? Sorry?

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Man?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I was, yeah, what are you doing trying to capture
some evidence on you?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
You got Mayo? What are we doing? Sam? Still using aol?
They're listening, man.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Watching the Billy Joel documentary, was her that celebrity couples, Well,
there's fame and fortune and fortuning Glowe opportunity, as short
round would say, fortuning gloe. It doesn't seem like it's
all easy and awesome. So Travis Kelsey and Taylor, you
got to give him props for making it work. She's
traveling around the world. They know they have the money
to accommodate this world and life they live together, but

(06:20):
it's not easy.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
As you saw Billy's Joe.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
What I thought you were going to say, I thought
you were going to say, and I hate this expression,
but this Dominican girl once told me this. She said,
your fly has to match her fly, and meaning like
you got to find your match in a lot of ways.
You also have to find like your your counterpart, no doubt,
just attract the yank to your yang. But you can't
have like two people living two completely different lifestyles. Yeah,

(06:45):
I mean, you know, in different expectations. Christy Brinkley was
an international model and Billy Joel seemed like he was permanently.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
On the road.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
There's an understanding with maybe with Taylor and Travis, you know,
not to be all gossipy. Maybe there is a very
safe light at the end of the tunnel for them.
What does he play one? Two more years? Calls it
a day? Does his podcast with his brother makes millions?
And that's just a few years of excitement for her
because she seems to have embraced that side of his life.
And then that's kind of cool as long as he

(07:16):
doesn't get bored doing the podcast. And I'm sure he'll
pop up on Fox or NBC or ABC or doing
the podcast. It just made Guinness Book Records today, they're
making ducats, They're making butt loads of money with that.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
So my point is care if he's sick of it
or not. He's got to keep that goal mind going.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
If he could keep that going with his bro and
stay busy, she's gonna keep making albums, and you know what,
good luck to them. We don't need to harp on it.
I will say this the one thing that it doesn't
matter if you harp on it or not. The world
is gonna harp on The one thing that shocked me
is that it's very hard to get people to share

(07:54):
your stuff, and even to get your friends and family
to like your stuff. It's very difficult, difficult to get
support in whatever you do. You open a pizzeria, you
think everyone you know is going to go to your pizzeria,
and you get support from strangers, strangers and people you
never expect. I saw a really sad clip that said
your best support comes from strangers, and your most hate

(08:14):
comes from the people you know.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
It's really weird. I mean we've experienced that.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
I mean, aside from our family, how many people close
friends of yours actually listen to the show now because
you're a dope to them. Yeah, all the support weekend,
the people we met just randomly, the people you met
along the way, friends, like people you would consider close
to you. Oh, Covino, I've never really checked out your show.
Thousands of strangers though. Yeah, they're always telling me about

(08:40):
someone else's show. So if you realize I'm on Fox Sports, right,
I'll be filming in for Dan Patrick on Monday.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
No, no, that's no.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
They want to tell me about someone else, some Gabbroni Jones' podcast.
I don't care about Gibronie Jones' podcast. Your buddy here,
we went to high school. How about you check me out?
I sent you the link. Did you follow it?

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're on.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
The hundreds of affiliates with like potentially millions of listeners.
Yeah yeah, not for me. You're my friend. So I'm
just saying supports hard to get. I bring that up
because would you believe six point five million people.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Have already.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Shared this Taylor Swift post, Like, imagine this is a
stranger that you may just like her music. Six and
a half million people shared it on their timeline. Four
hundred and fifty to five hundred thousand by now have
reposted it. That's wild, Like, I even myer people, but

(09:37):
can you imagine sharing and reposting millions of people really happy.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
They must love them.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
But again for all those six haeven million people really
pumped about it, like oh my.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah, this is like a real life Disney movie. Right.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
It's like women, we know that I saw the story,
but there's millions of people waiting for that moment where
one of these people slip and they're ready to The
women I know that posted on their Instagram story this
and they wrote like dead with like a skull emotion.
I'm like really, like you're dude, like you're that excited, Like,
oh my god.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Women were screaming.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
We both know Macy Banks from the Highway on serious Excent.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yah.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
I saw her go live to make the announcement and
she was like shaking in the studio.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
And then one of the girls from the office like
walked to Travis Kelce candle into the studio and lit
it and the they were jumping up and down giddy.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
It was crazy.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Well, you know, you got to remind yourself, I don't
want to be the grumpy pants in the studio.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
No.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
In fact, I'm wearing mine and it's really hot out.
That's why I'm grumpy. You put us one your Travis
Matthews for grumpy pants wear. I don't want to be negative,
nor birt. Let's say it so I could give you
my point, And I'm not wishing anyone anything but the best.
To be honest, I'm very happy for this story and
their love story in their life, and I really think
the match. But I really don't give a diddly squat

(10:57):
about the story. And that's what's I'd like to see
people react the way you're saying, like shaking to talk
about it.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
My goodness, man, you know how I feel about it.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
Get a life, hey, Covin, that's how I feel about
Actually have some audio from you from earlier in the
day after you found out.

Speaker 7 (11:11):
Oh yeah, that's here it.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I really don't but I do wish them well. I
think you like them both and it's a nice story.
But man, I man, I don't really, I don't really
care that much.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
I don't care. I don't. I mean, didn't we expect
that anyway? That's a big deal, you know. Is there
a surprise to this? Hold on? You got it.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
I'll be more impressed when they pop out a kid.
That's when the real challenges begin.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Can I raise a question?

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Oh hi, Isaac h who would you get that excited about,
whether it be in the sports realm or otherwise.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Isaac, you read my mind. That's what you and I
oddly connected right now, you guys getting engaged while you're
backing out of the room. No, Isaac, you took the
words right out of my mouth meat love style. I
was just gonna say, Cavino, we got to remember that
men and women like and care about different things the
same way. I would be so fired up if, like,

(12:07):
I'll tell you what I'm fired up about. The Mets
are calling up a rookie pitcher, and my buddy's on
our thread, or like your tongue's coming up. They're calling
up the the Japanese rookie. They're excited about that the
way women are about Taylor Swift. When Anthony Volpi hits
a home run, if it makes me wear his shirt.
The next thing, I'm excited about Cam Schlittler's start for
the Yankees due tonight the last week. Who Cam Schlittler.

(12:30):
This guy is the real deal, I said, Schlittler. It's
an interesting name. He's got some real major league pedigree.
He's that number solid, number three guy, maybe number two
that the Yankees are looking for, and honestly, what's better
than a nice, solid number two. I hope he's a
solid number two for our bets purpose, but I really

(12:51):
don't care. And I'm not trying to downplay the story,
because nothing I say can downplay the magnitude and magntheity
of the amount of share and retweets we're talking about
and how everyone's talking about it.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
I'm just not surprised by it. Wish him the best.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
I did see our boy, what was that divorce lawyer,
Jimmy James Sexton?

Speaker 2 (13:09):
What was his name, James Stexton. I like that guy.
He's a really great dude.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
I saw that he was hanging out with our buddy
KFC or KFC reposted it. I don't know, but we
used to interview this guy and his whole thing was look,
I wish him the best, and they're a great couple.
But if I were Taylor Swift and she's worth billions
and she's got her catalog of music, she's been in
failed relationships before. Things are great now, but life changes.

(13:33):
People change. Prenup, pre nup, pre nup.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Pre nup.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
You said Jimmy McGill, No, not Jimmy McGill not slipping
Jimmy slipping Jimmy Sexton, which is a he's a good guy.
He's he's like a divorce lawyer who actually said that
he'd give free pre nups to all NFL draft picks
in twenty twenty five. Yeah, yeah, he's a he's a
funny dude, but he's a good dick. You get him
on the show if you want to talk about tomorrow.

(13:57):
But you know, Cavino, I knew he'd find where we
want to go with this because it's just such a
big headline, and you and I were first and first
most see everybody's talking about it. Before the show, you
and I were trying to figure out, like, I mean,
you can't ignore the biggest pop star on the world
and one of the biggest faces of the NFL not
at all tie in the you know, announcing their engagement. No, no, no,

(14:18):
like And when I say, I just want to make
this clearer that like, I don't care that much. I'm
not trying to be rude and I'm not trying to
say we shouldn't be talking about it. It's the biggest story.
I acknowledge that it's something we have to bring in
men and women care about different things the same way.
I go my timeline, and women i'm friends with are like, OMG,
posting pictures of tailor. That's the equivalent of no joke

(14:39):
of you wearing last week an Anthony Volpi t shirt
to work the day after he hit a home run. Like,
you can't make it sound like that's cooler just because
you're a guy. I'm just trying to show it's the
same thing. Oh but what do you think they're doing
by r Taylor?

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Well, think about it when their girlfriends get engaged that
this is how they react to that. And so this
is that on steroids.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Bro, you did you see the video of me when
the Mets when Lindor hit a home run last year
against the Phillies in the playoffs. I was here at
Fox the video I posted. You would have thought, who
is this maniac? So to say we don't get excited
about sports? Have you ever seen me watch a forty
nine ers game?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
That's close. That's true. I get it.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
We we root for sports in a childlike way. We
get really excited. And that's women for Taylor.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Shift, I know.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
So that's why I'm saying, you always have to keep
it a perspective love, and I'm not hating on love.
Love is my love is one of my All you
need is love. Love is a many splund their thing. Yeah,
Love'll find a way.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Look what you've done to me. Love is a battlefield. Love.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
All you need is all right. My friend Nicole, who
I do my parenting podcast with, have kids. They said, yeah,
but you talk about smut the whole week.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
That is true. We talk more parenting on our show
than you do.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Today's her birthday and she reposted the Taylor Swift story
and she's like, what a great birthday present.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
I had to hit her up and be like, are
you serious?

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Maybe I also like to join the party in the bandwagon,
I know, but the same way she said what a
birthday present and reposted Taylor. I got to remind myself
my birthday is October seventh. I went to the Mets
playoff game on my birthday and I was like, what
a birthday. So again, it's really just what you care about.

(16:18):
So give give him lady some grace today, because you
know it is what it is.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Man at anybody the same way you would post junk
Carlo walk off and.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Be all pumped.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
That's a woman being like, did you see the Kardashians
did whatever? You know, it's we care about different things.
But I thought you brought up a great point, so
let's let's move to this. I didn't, oddly you did. Wow,
We're gonna get to a lot of NFL today. I even
saw on Aaron Rodgers headline that I want to get to
and I know you, Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
You're gonna go from Taylor Swift to Aaron Rodgers trying
to kill me today.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
These are Danny's. We're gonna tak Lebron James next, and
then Lebron Danny and then I'm gonna talk about it.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Then I'm gonna talk about the AFC West and how
they're all better than the Raiders. No, but Aaron Rodgers,
this might be something to rather hear that my favorites.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
You're extra hyped up about this though. I could hear
it in your voice.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Yeah, I picture you skipping in your living room this
morning when you found out the news.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
You could pretend like, yeah, women are pumped about this,
Like I could hear in your voice and just the
like the voice, the level of your voice. I just
feel like it's uh, you got extra energy. You're super pumped.
I have extra energy because we didn't. This was the
only thing we did today. I don't do a podcast.
I can't tell yeah, but it is extra I look
at it like this will provide content. We live in
a content world every morning when I wake up, the

(17:33):
same as Cavino and Danny and all producers and host
We look for things to talk about. So when the
biggest star in the world gets engaged, you're like, oh,
what's the angle? And it was hard to find one
for this because you're like, oh, yeah, you could go
with the typical who cares?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Do you care?

Speaker 1 (17:47):
I don't want to talk about that. I like Cavino's.
Do you think at this level they have to get
a prenup.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
We won't prenup. We won't prenup.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Hey, he signed a big NFL contract, even a bigger
podcast contract. But then again, she's a billionaire with a bee,
she's got a team, and she's got lawyers. I think
it would be in everybody and her team's best interest
if that was automatic hydramatic Bee, because he's a guy
that could serve. He's done very well on his own.

(18:18):
He doesn't need to be dipping into her billions. That's
an understood thing, and I think people always love to say, well,
you just jinxing the relationship. No, it's just protecting, like
sometimes the inevitable sixty percent of marriages. I think it's
that like close to sixty now, and in divorce or
some sort of or some sort of swinging situation, so

(18:41):
you know, you gotta protect yourself, so he protect your neck.
Here's my thought. At their level without each other, they
are not just fine. They are extraordinarily fine. We're talking
about a billionaire and a guy with probably hundreds of millions.

Speaker 7 (18:56):
Right.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
If it was you that said would you.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
I'd be like, yes, sure, if I'm Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
My question though, is did they even discuss it? Maybe
that's something where it's like, hey, my agent lawyer is
going to talk to yours. Let them handle it. And
maybe it's as simple, whatever you came in with, you
leave with, and we split properties and assets. They are
both or ridiculously well think about this, like, hey, whatever
we build together moving forward, you know that sort of thing,

(19:27):
and you leave with what you came in with. Right,
that's all.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I do.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Wish them the best, but I also have to play
the side of honest and what I think a lot
of guys listening to this probably are thinking, however, your
wives and girlfriends are super pumped about it, So, like
Rich said, give them grace. It's more like, just understand.
You get pretty pumped about I don't know, WrestleMania, or

(19:53):
you know your football team made a sweet draft, pick
your baseball teams in a playoff run.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
You get just excited. This is their super Bowl. This
is there.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
If you post on your TikTok, Instagram or Facebook page
about your fantasy football team, or John Cena when he
turned heel.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Or you know the Laker women.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
You know their eyes were rolling in the back of
their head when the Lakers got Luca Danny g if
he was a woman, would have posted on Instagram, OMG,
it's dead. You know this is that for them. I
think that's I mean, that's.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
What we do react differently though, because I didn't run
to social media and post anything. We were in Vegas,
remember late that nights, like everybody was talking about it.
But do we run and have to publicly address it.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
People will go like for an NFL schedule release, and
I don't even get that amped.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Ay, I run think about it, abnormally amped about that,
you know me in schedule watching.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
You know, I don't know which loves to look at
the schedule, game schedule, watch it.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
I already looked at the twenty twenty six baseball schedule today.
Remember how I said I blame everything, all my ailments
on COVID not getting older just like COVID. Yeah, I
feel like excitement levels are just not the same either
after COVID. You got I used to be so pumped
about you know, baseball playoffs and everything after COVID.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Yeah, what does it all mean anyway? My dopamine?

Speaker 1 (21:17):
So guys, some of Yeah, if you think like life
feels a little more bland, probably covid' I mean five
have many years five years later? Yes, yeah, you know,
I think when you think about it, has life really
ever been the same? Think about it? Think about it,
think about it. Well, listen, coming up, we're gonna get
to a lot of fun. Danny G's super pumped because
Aaron Rodgers, We're going to touch on that, your favorite guy.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
I'd rather talk super Bowl prediction.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
You know, there is a list of where your team
ranks in the Super Bowl possibilities. We're going to get
to that next an NFL on Fox list, we'll talk
some NFL, But you know what I want to dissect
real quickly something Aaron Rodgers said, I'll give you the
quote and we'll talk about it maybe a little bit.
Where did this come from? He said, you just saw
this saw all right? Let me let me hear this.

(22:02):
Things are way easier when expectations are low. Do you
buy into that or do you have an expectation? I
was thinking all today, you brought up Anthony Volpi. They
passed on so many they meeting the Yankees, passed on
you know, Corey Seieger, so many major possible opportunities to

(22:22):
fill that spot. And they passed on everything because they
hyped up Anthony Volpi for so many years to be
the next coming of Derek Jeter, the next superstar in
the league. And I think when the expectations are so high,
it's very hard to ever meet them, let alone exceed them.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
I think.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
I think cam Ward is the luckiest dude in town.
How about Caleb Williams. So many people saying that if
he doesn't do it this year, it's like he's got
to do it this year. He's got to make an
impact this year when expectations are high like that. I
don't know, man, you even just ignored me when I said,
cam point proven no one can cam Ward like no

(23:04):
one cares about They're talking about a third string quarterback
in Cleveland and quarterbacks from last year and Aaron Rodgers,
and cam Ward's thinking I could have what a rookie
season should look like. And no one's gonna be bothering
me in Tennessee. So we'll talk about expectations, We'll talk
about NFL A lot coming up next right here, your
buds Covino and rich on a very special Taylor and

(23:27):
Travis Tuesday. Please, if you like our show, you want
to watch it live? Hey share this. Six over six
million people shared the Kelsey wedding announcement. Just share our
stupid link. It's free and subscribe. I'd settle for thousands.
Six point five million people don't need to share this.

(23:47):
If ten people did it, I'd be pumped again. At
Covino and rich FSR on YouTube. At Covino and rich
FSR were streaming live. All our videos are there. Our
bonus podcast is there again. YouTube dot com, slash at
Covino and Rich FSR so the big news Today, Kelsey
and Swift engaged. Rich pointed out the amount of people

(24:07):
that get excited and love to share the news about
people they really don't know. We also made the correlation that, well,
people get excited about this the same way you get
excited about your teammate in the playoffs position I thought
about I guess I just saw a lot of women
are doing reaction videos, and while we could make fun
and be like, oh my god, Taylor Swift and Travis.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Kelsey, who cares.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
If you had a reaction video of me when the
Mets signed Juan Soto, you probably would have.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Been like, well look at that guy. Well, I got
one more observation.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Before we get through the phone calls and give away
prizes show time of Homes Trivia, you should have saw
NFL Rich wants to talk Aaron Rodgers. You should have
saw the New York New York in Vegas gets That's
where we were when Luca got traded to the Lakers.
Every guy was to look at his phone, like, you know,
chat it up.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
So again, it just.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Really a matter of what you're interested. I saw Danny
ge Chess, I'm somebody. He was so pumped, jumped in
the air, chest bump.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
But it has to do with a game that we're
excited to then watch him play for a different team,
and we are not attached to Taylor Swift in the
same way, like we're not getting like you said or
what Coveno was alluding to, He's not going to be
at her wedding, So that's true.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Some of this is imaginary.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Another observation, this only really happens to celebrities, but it
does happen to people on a smaller level. I'm seeing
so many different headlines about the announcement, Right, Kelsey and
Swift are engaged. We see the imagery and the images,
but I see a lot of like dopey pictures of
Travis Kelsey. Like the main TMZ one is when he's
wearing that stupid bucket hat. Right, so remember that like goofy,

(25:43):
dopey looking guccin and it almost looks like he has
makeup on. Yeah, he has like a green and red
like dopey looking bucket hat. And he imagine that was
shared like over and over again, like a picture you
weren't a fan of was just shared millions and millions
of times for your big announcement. Kind of hate that
something I noticed. But anyway, it's like about my abe
Lincoln theory. What's your abe Lincoln theory? I used to

(26:06):
slave vampires. Yeah that besides that, what if he really
wasn't into the top hat that much? But in the
few you know, photos and paintings and drawings like he
had the top hat, so we know were like late Blincoln.
Kelsey wore that dopey bucket at one time. We all
saw it because it was I don't know, is that's
some big events. There was a lot of a Lincoln
without a beer any everywhere today. He'll be remembered for

(26:27):
this for the rest of his life. So your phone calls,
congratulations again, Kelsey and Swift wish him the best. But
it's amazing to see the amount of coverage and how
excited people are about this. We're not hating on it
by any means. I think Kelsey's cool, I think Swift
is sweet. I think they're a great couple. Let's go

(26:49):
to the phone calls and just.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Wrap it up. Travison, sokel what's up Trav Yeah, Steve,
I think you're more excited about the weekend guy's pompadoor
than you are about tailor's engagement to ud.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Have you seen moneyline Monocles pompador You love this guy? Yeah,
he's on weekends, He're on Fox Sports. It's something to
marvel at. It's just incredible, you know what I am
Actually I see that. I'm like, man, I did a
slow clap when I saw it on social media.

Speaker 5 (27:14):
That photo should get shared six and a half million times.
Those are hair goals.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Look them up, you know.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Before we get into NFL Super Bowl stuff and the
tier rankings and Aaron Rodgers, let me ask you what
what would provide excitement for you? Your grown ass man and
a grown ass man. What would get you excited the
way a lot of women are posting reaction videos Like
I just saw a woman, a broadcaster. She was behind
a news desk during a commercial and they filmed her

(27:41):
and she she has her phone. She's like, oh my god,
oh my, oh my god, and she's like flipping out
at this. Maybe it's the same. Like I said, the
only thing I can think of is when your player,
your team acquires a big player, and all your buddies
text you at the same time that how about hitting
the lottery. You know, things like that, something a lot
of expected, Like this is very expected to me and

(28:03):
maybe a little sooner than I expected, but still not surprised.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Like been dating like eighteen months, right, yeah, but it's
like like soon.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
It feels a little soon, but it's it's a major
love story and you gotta you gotta, I'll give you
want to strike when it's hot, I'll give you one. Yeah,
Like the Mets just announced that Alvarez the injury isn't
as severe as they may have thought, so Francisco Alvarez
will be back soon. When Aaron Judge had that health
scare and there was a thought like, oh, maybe he's
out the whole year his elbow. Yeah, when you got

(28:32):
that alert where it's like Aaron Judge like the MRIs
and everything came back fine, what you have to you know,
for me, you probably gave a little it's case by case,
but it would be something unexpected, Like I said, this
is not surprising to me. Something unexpected, like if producer
Spot came walking in, who's been uh with his wife
for like fifteen years and all of a sudden, I
know where he's like, guys, what we're having a baby.

(28:55):
I'm like, no way, Yeah, dude, that was unexpected, right,
Like so expected good news would get me that excited.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
This is very expected good news. When I was SAYM
got a haircut, I was pretty excited about that. Shocking, stunning, shocking.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Yes, I thought I would never say this on our show.
But can we move on to Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah, let's do it? Yes? Yes, all right? Well can
we get Danny g care isolate that.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
You know what, Let's go to Ilo first. I'll gather
my Aaron Rodgers thoughts and we'll discuss what's up?

Speaker 2 (29:25):
H I love? Well, what's up?

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Travis Kelsey has placed the franchise tag on Taylor Sweat.
He asked the Chiefs tied End and the music superstar
announcing their engagement today on Instagram with the caption your
English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
I love. I have two other quick thoughts.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Do you think the podcast like a week ago is
almost a soft launch and the fact that everyone received
it so well was like they're almost go ahead to like,
all right, let's let's do it. And do you think
the Chiefs put the picture of her and Travis in
their Hall of honor? Knowing they'd get engaged, because I don't.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Think you do that. Who thinks of these questions if
they're not getting stakes, No, if you've cracked it Sherlock
like Danny.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
They posted a picture of Taylor Swift in the in
the Chiefs Hall of Honor. Do they do that if
they don't have the feeling they're going to get engaged.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
I think it was more than a feeling. Come on,
I think they knew no more.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
And then, in fact, some horticulturalists are probably going to
analyze the the foliage in the background of that garden
shot and determined that that was that they proposal actually
happened two months ago and they were just planning the
soft launch ever since then.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
See, that's very savvy of you. But we'll think about it.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
I'm trying to be like that into his weird little
conspiracy to.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Be like that. I'm trying to be like that.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
You said that girl on social media that deduced that
Taylor Shift will be the halftime show because she said
it took her she thinks about sourdough sixty percent of
the time in the like sourdough San Francisco sourdough, SAM
Super Bowls in San Francisco sixty So I.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
Mean I would say and to you next to the
Kennedy assassination. It's been long enough anyway. Elsewhere we go
to well what was previously Miss Swift's specialty breakups because
it's roster cut down day in the NFL. The New
York Giants what too soon? The New York Giants are
releasing quarterback Tommy Devino the Washington command Here's yes, I.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Know what was that other sound?

Speaker 1 (31:22):
I just.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Want to disappointed?

Speaker 1 (31:25):
Oh he went to STOs outside of Giants Stadium for
a little well.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Place.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
He had a good sendoff though he put up some
big numbers in his last appearance, and all the botch
of g loops that we grew up with on the
East Coast were.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Like, ooh the met don't Colley and he got a
good send off. Will he be picked up? Is the watching.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
The big dumper cal Raley? Why not making it even fifty?

Speaker 3 (31:55):
The three to win of cow swinging a well hit
ball deep the left field head into the up deck,
state fair out for deck, Goodbye baseball, not for fifty
for cal Raley. He becomes one of only thirty three
members of the fifty long run Club and the Magical Season.

(32:17):
Justtion tissues for kel Rawley. Holy smokes, what a shot.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
As an Aaron Judge fan, I rolled my eyes, but
I give him a slow clap two. At the same time, Well,
Danny's happy because beating up on the Padre is put
your Dodgers back in first place.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
Yeah, I was loving that. That's the tire Ract play
of the day. Props to cal Raley.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Mariners went on to beat the Padres ninety six as
courtesy of Mariners Radio Network and again thanksgating tire Rack.
I really want to focus on Tommy DeVito real quick first,
because I don't think you have focus on anything. That's
what I think Tommy DeVito. I think you don't want
to focus period. Tommy DeVito is a guy that he's done.

(33:00):
Was the quarterback for the New York Giants. As you know,
I do want. I do wonder like there's an analogy
that's a weird one, but we could think of others
where something only works under a certain set of circumstances.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
There was a radio DJ.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
In New York when we lived on the East Coast.
Let's say his name is Gumba Johnny. I mean, let's
say his name is yeah, but like he's a guy,
or there's another guy Brooklyn's own Joe causey. There were
guys that were on the radio New York that I
wondered could they really ever be on the radio anywhere else?

(33:39):
And were appealing to their audience in a different time,
you know, they weren't playing that national game that it
turned into.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
They were trying to appeal to their people.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
So you could be the number one You could be
the number one guy in your city or market, but
you realize I want to translate other places. I feel
that way about Tommy DeVito. I feel like it was perfect.
It was Tommy Cutlers Italian East Coast Jersey, New York.
Could Tommy Cutletz go to like Indianapolis or Jacksonville or
somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
He's gonna have a much shorter leash. But I just
feel like.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
The fan base there would there wouldn't be the embracing
of it.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
They don't even get the Cutlets reference.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
So with that said, I almost feel like it's New
York or bus for Cutlets. Can you think of a
player that's been on one of the teams you root
for that the fans really embraced, and then you saw
him move along to another town or city.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
And the other team just sort of didn't embrace.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
The guy that way about all the like Italian guys
growing up that played in New York, like Lee Mazilly.
Yeah he was a good player, but you don't think
that people in New York like Lee Mazilly more than
you when he played somewhere else. You mean the handsome
Italian playball Yeah, great example, by the way, but of
course you know that's a great one. That is I
mean Lee Moszilly. People loved him here in New York

(34:56):
because there's a bunch of Italians. And I'm saying it
that way because my dad's a dag. I know, I
thought of what I thought of one of a player
where their vibe matched what was going on, and it's
not the same.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
I read it. I saw a great little clip of J. D.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Martinez, who I'm not talking about him, but he tells
a great story. J D.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Martinez, who only don't Martinez? I think J. D.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Martinez is going to go on to be a great
manager or bench coach. They say he's a great baseball mind.
Played for all of our teams at one point except yours.
J D Martinez talks about how the Mets were flat
last year. He encouraged Carlos Mendoza and the Mets brass
to call up Jose Iglesias. He's like the kid's yappy

(35:47):
in the clubhouse. He's funny, won't shut up. Everyone likes
this kid. And then when they called him up to like,
wait and he has a song, and JD. Martinez goes, yo,
when he comes up for his first game, let's blust
his a little bit and play a song. And everyone's like, Yo,
this song is good. And JD Martinez talks about how
that believe it or not, meant so much of that

(36:09):
team last year. The OMG, that's a very Hispanic demographic.
Do you think the Padres fan base is embracing July
Oglesias Jose too?

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Do you think they embrace Jose Glacier's the same way.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
I mean, they should have a lot of Latino players
there too, But I don't. I don't think it's the same.
I don't think it's the same magic. But again, I
think we're just talking like fan favorites and that same
feeling of the local celebrity, you know, will it translate everywhere.
Probably not Danny g who comes to mind or what's
on your mind?

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (36:45):
For southern California, y'a ciel Puigue comes to mind. Like
I couldn't imagine him on another baseball team. Being as
popular as he was.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
He felt irrelevant once he left, when he went to
the bands.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
In other places, there was like, exactly what about Fernando
Mania that that fit this market?

Speaker 2 (37:00):
There was something about it.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
And by the way, Tommy Cutlet's stats in the preseason,
he was thirty of thirty eight three and twenty three
yards four TD's one pick, had a passer rating of
one twenty six point two, and.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
His last appearance was solid.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
You know what, all combined, I apologize you were right
for his combined preseason stats.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Big good, Yeah, pretty good. I agree with you, Rich.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
We may have seen the end not rooting against him,
but yeah, it's pretty obvious. When you have a lot
of talent in the quarterback position, it was no room
for him. Let's go to Doug in Maryland. I think
he might have an example here. What's up, Doug?

Speaker 7 (37:36):
Not really, that's not really I have.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Nothing to contribute. What's up?

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Ed?

Speaker 7 (37:40):
Well, you can't compare him to leave Mozilly.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
Lee.

Speaker 7 (37:43):
Mozilli was a great baseball player, right he was, And
I think I think Tommy's days are over. But the
reason I'm callings because I'm laughing out loud at all
you guys and all the country out there was saying
it all that they wanted to come to Vegas. Well,
we got a quarterback. We got two starting quarterbacks now,
and I think you know the Gino gets in any trouble,

(38:05):
in comes Kenny and everything's gonna be fine now, Danny
said off air, you know he mentioned about the Raiders
the defense is in a couple of places, there are
some question marks. I agree with him, but I think
that the Raiders are gonna be okay, and they're gonna
be much better than they were last year.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Would would you argue that the Raiders and the Giants
are the two teams that might surprise us a little
bit as far as like maybe they're a little further
along than we thought. Because as of right now, Danny,
unfortunately you're Raiders and the Giants both are projected to
be towards the bottom of the league.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
I'm really nervous about the Raiders defense. Offensively, They're gonna
score a lot of points. They're gonna be fun to watch. Defensively,
they're kind of like Swiss cheese right now, and they
don't and they lack a lot of depth, and they
lost a lot of guys to free agency, so teams
are going to score a lot of points against them,
so they're going to be in shootouts.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Well.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
To wrap up our previous conversation and thanks for to
call man, I think certain players are just more belve
in certain places for whatever reason. And the same thing
in our industry, we worked with a guy named Vic Latino.
Would that have worked somewhere else the same way it
worked in New York at the time when he was
a big deal, Right.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
He's not going to be put on the radio in Boise, Idaho.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Exactly Like it's a local thing or a specific market thing.
And people loved them and that was the de Vito vibe.
But I think he could still make it somewhere else
and do his thing, and we'll see what happens, because
he was released from the New York Football Giants.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
Unless there's a mania, unless there's like a mania that
sweeps the country. Yeah, because remember when reggaetone was the
thing for a couple of years and then you heard
those kind of morning shows in every market.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Almost yeah, yep, I'm thinking of players that were lightning
in a bottle and you're at it. So it's usually
so specific to a team, a moment, everything. So if
you can think of some more where they love that guy,
you know, hit us up eight seven, seven, nine nine
on Fox.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
So just hit us up at Covin on Rich.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Now the other QB that usually gets a lot of
attention taking a back seat to Shador and some others
this preseason, Aaron Rodgers, I mean, we talk a hell
of a lot about him, but you know, the Steelers,
we've already made our assessments. Right, Everyone's like, yeah, they'll
probably be good, but not good enough to really do anything.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
I think the overall.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
Consensus on the Steelers is they'll be good, but maybe
probably not good enough. And again that's sort of the
Steelers MO already. It might just be a little better now.
I think the consensus is, like, yo, if they were
ten and seven and won or lost a wildcard game,
you'd be like, yeah, sounds about right. So Aaron Rodgers
was quoted as saying life and sports are a little

(40:39):
easier when expectations are low and he's liking it. And
I mentioned cam Ward before cam Ward, we've talked about
Danny the lowest Madden rating for a rookie quarterback that
was drafted number one, the least talked about number one
pick in years. When you think about how we've talked
about Caleb Williams and all the years before that, every

(41:00):
quarterback class, cam Ward's like, just really.

Speaker 5 (41:04):
And some of this is because Tennessee has had their
problems the past couple of seasons.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Especially no one's saying Tennessee's making the plass.

Speaker 5 (41:12):
Meanwhile, start being overlooked, and so cam Ward is going
to be overlooked to m last year.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Can you not said it before?

Speaker 1 (41:18):
There was people preseason like, yo, Cable Williams, rookie year,
better be taking the Bears to the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
And you're like, that's a lot.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Like no one on earth is saying cam Ward better
take the Titans to the playoffs. No, I think he's right,
because not only in football, in life, it's hard to meet.
Like I said, let alone exceed those expectations. But that's
why you also have to tip my Yankee hat, tip
your hat to guys that did live up to the hype.
It's hard to live up to the hype Lebron James Man.

(41:46):
That guy was touted as a superstar when he was
in high school. So to meet that hype, that's what
makes him a legend. It's not easy. So Aaron Rodgers
making a solid point, and I think there's a lot
less pressure based on his performance the past few years
and the fact that most people are thinking, yeah, they're
gonna be good, but not go all the way.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Hey, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
So it takes a lot of pressure off of him
to have a decent year and probably his last year.
Every aspect of your life, the goal is to never
The goal is to never have the expectations to a
level that you can't meet. Professional overhype and underproduce.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Ye professionally, personally, athletically. You always want to under hype
and overproduce. It's the number one rule. Conveno's right.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
The number one rule always is almost like downplay it
a little bit like imagine if you.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
Talk like you're a skill in the bedroom.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Yeah, never tell a woman you're gonna get with like
you're I'm gonna rock your world more than any other
guy ever has. You're setting yourself up to be a dud.
Never tell your new boss that, oh, these sales projections.
I'll double that boss, Like, what are you doing? Don't
tell your wife you're on your way home from guys
night when you just ordered another round to drinks. People
love to overpromise an underdlay of her, and I think

(43:00):
what Aaron Rodgers is sort of talking about here is
when expectations aren't through the roof, it's easier to surprise
people and be like, oh, like cam Ward, if the
Tennessee Titans go seven, ten, eight, and nine and are
actually like hovering a little under five hundred, you'd say, well,
that's a good start.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Now you got nothing to lose at that point.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
Yeah, right, If you come in with all these expectations
and all this hype, you have everything. Look, can I
you're just letting You're just letting everybody down. At that point,
I'll give a dirty example based on what we just said.
I thought you already gave one. No one has to
do with you. Oh, I remember you and I were
in our twenties and there's some hot girl at the
club that was like one of those bottle service type girls.

(43:44):
I remember she claimed to be What did she say,
like when it comes to beep, I'm the best in
the West or some nonsense. And Cavino was like, yo,
she hyped up, like I'm going to rock your world.
And Covino was like, yeah, I wasn't because she overhyped.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
She over hyped. You just don't ever want to overhype.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
Like like, I'll give you a great example, Jay Stu
from the Gottlieb Show. Love that guy. He came out
to play softball. Them all pretty decent softball player. Good
Jay Stu came out to play softball with my buddies.
Jay Stull here, Doug, I don't know what you think.

(44:25):
He said, I'm a decent ballplayer.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
He came out and he was.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Way better than I thought because he he set it
up by saying I'm a decent ballplayer. I'll play wherever
you need me. Guy was ripping line drives. Now, you
don't you don't join a new interim year old sports.
You don't you don't go pick play pick up basketball
and say, uh.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
I thought you took off the field on a stretcher.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
Though that's because he he didn't stretch handed up. He
did go three for three and then pull the hand out. Okay,
that's a different story. But again, you know, ever want
to overpromise under deliver the end. It's the number one
lesson in life, relationship, sports, anything. And Aaron Rodgers, he said,
we might have a different feeling at the end of

(45:10):
this Steelers season. You know what, I'm excited to go
over this list next, Danny g because when you think
about where the Steelers are, I said Aaron Rodgers when
he joined the Jets. The USA Today among other publications
and journalists and people were saying, Aaron Rodgers, remember super Bowl,
Super Bowl and must for Aaron Rodgers and the Adam

(45:32):
winning the Super Bowl, right, like winning or just playing winning.
There were people that had Aaron Rodgers and Jets winning.
So maybe he's liking the tone down expectations. We'll go
over that list and we're gonna do some trivia coming up,
so a lot of fun. You want to do it now,
Danny or what? Yeah, we have time right now. Actually,
he gave me the he gave me the offensive coordinator
like huffing sideline, like.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
Like, oh man, you should have went with the audible.
I didn't throw my headset down yet though.

Speaker 1 (45:55):
Okay, so let's go over this list then.

Speaker 5 (45:57):
Yeah, let's do it, all right, Fire up that NFL
on Fox music.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
So is this our boy, Ralph? Yeah, yeah it is.

Speaker 5 (46:05):
We had fun with his power rankings raw.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
Forget about.

Speaker 5 (46:12):
NFL on Fox's lead guy for these lists. This is
a super Bowl tiers. According to him.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
I had super Bowl tiers when the forty got his
loss to the Chiefs a couple of years ago, super
Bowl tiers, but.

Speaker 2 (46:22):
Then he ended up winning it.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
So all right, So he's got five teams for NFL
on Fox that he lists as top contenders.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
Guess the five.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
Okay, top tier contenders. The two Super Bowl participants last year,
the Chiefs and the Eagles, are on this list.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
The Bill's definitely on this list W three F three
So far.

Speaker 5 (46:43):
Bill's Chiefs, Ravens, BAM two more Joy Chiefs. Oh did
you already say the winner from last year? Ravens, Yes,
Eagles Soul one more.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
So Eagles, Chiefs Ravens, Bills, Lions yes.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (47:01):
So the top tenders. Okay, all right, the next tier.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
By the way, that's that's fair because if not for
Washington last year Danny g upsetting the Lions, it really
we all thought it was gonna be Lions, Eagles and
Sure and the AFC those that's the three headed monster, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills.

Speaker 5 (47:17):
As of now right, the second tier, he's calling one
breakaway and there are six teams listed. They are one
breakaway from getting to the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
Okay, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
Joe Burrow is this is the Joe, the Joe Burrow
year where they don't start oh and three?

Speaker 2 (47:32):
Yeah, no strikes on you guys yet, Bengals on there.
I don't know. I don't tell you. I love the Vikings.
No no, no stopped, they don't they don't go Vikings.
What do you have on drugs? I don't know. I
think I got one.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
I go on.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
My forty nine ers. Yeah for sure, one breakaway lock
no buzzer. This guy's crazy.

Speaker 6 (47:51):
What do you need?

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Strike on you?

Speaker 1 (47:52):
Man?

Speaker 2 (47:53):
Shadow doesn't know? Jack, I actually agree with rich on
twenty nine?

Speaker 1 (47:56):
Is it because if if you comes back healthy and
everything works out, they have a weak ass schedule, they
could get there.

Speaker 2 (48:03):
Are all right? You know what he's going to say.

Speaker 5 (48:06):
Is going to say the cow Boys one breakaway? No, no, no,
that's the we're on the second tier. This is right
under top contendent say that because there's always something controversial.
There's got to be something. Let's let's go to the Packers.
He put the good call. Packers are on the list.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
So far.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
You got the Packers in Bengals. They put the Chargers
in there too. He did not whoa all right? So
so two xes on you, one break away, thank you?
I got it, I got it, I got it.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
I know I know the answer because I hate it.
The Denver Bronco Broncos put him in there.

Speaker 5 (48:42):
One breakaway, No three strikes. You guys are did he
put the stinky s rams in there? Now? You guys
will never guess this. He put the Texans in there
at one breakaway. I guess he thinks c J. Stroud
is going to back down. Have so many back in
his third season. Yeah, so any weapons. I don't hate
that one, all right? And then think of our favorite quarterback,

(49:04):
our favorite rookie quarterback from last season, Rich Washington.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
Yeah, got Redskins in there.

Speaker 5 (49:09):
He's got Coveno's Baker Mayfield in there with the bucks.
I was thinking about that and the guy you guys
just got done talking about Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers.
He calls one breakaway from getting to the super Bowl.
All right, third tier up and comers weren't that bad? Yeah,
since I wasn't thinking about that. So it was Texans, Packers, Bengals, Commanders, Bucks, Steelers.

Speaker 1 (49:31):
I could I could get with the Bengals, Packers, Steelers.
Texans do have weapons.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
I don't know. I got to see it, though, I
got to see it. Bucks. I always underrate.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
I don't know why I like Baker, but I just
feel like they're a ten and seven playoff team.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
That loses in the wild. I feel like I's gonna
pick up.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
So the third tier is up and comers, I got,
and there's three teams. This has to be Broncos in there.
Broncos are there? Yes, that's that does a lot of hype.
I thought I would have thought the Bucks were on
this one. Does he also want the Charges in that category?

Speaker 7 (50:03):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (50:03):
He did?

Speaker 3 (50:03):
At home?

Speaker 1 (50:04):
All right?

Speaker 2 (50:04):
One more, No, Jesus Christ, this is where the Minnesota
Vikings are. J. J. McCart hates my Niners.

Speaker 5 (50:13):
I gotta call this guy, all right, in the fourth
tier on the fringe, three teams here.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
On the fringe.

Speaker 5 (50:21):
Forty Yes, your Niners are on the fringe according to NFL.
On Fox two other teams Rams yes, oh one more
Vikings No, Vikings were.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
Oh yeah, Cowboys yes, man, whoa nice job.

Speaker 5 (50:44):
Nice work there. And then finally the last tier is
potential Cinderellas. Three teams Cinderellas.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
Mmmm, that's an interest that Cinderella Cinderfellas, right, Dana Dane
eminem style.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Let's see the.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
I'm thinking of whole thing, not Cleveland, not the Raiders.
I'm trying to go who else would he put it? Yea,
the Bears, yes, Bears are uh two more? Not the Seahawks.
Huh Seahawks? No, okay, I was like, who's in the Like,
I'm not terrible, but I'm maybe think.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Of a coaching change and a new offensive. They were
in this already. You missed them. They were in the
last category.

Speaker 5 (51:32):
I don't think you guys are going to get the less.
The New England Patriots.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
Oh well yeah, coaching that whole roster, by the way,
the most changed over I.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
Believe in the NFL, and they're definitely going to improve that.
What was the hint you were given, Danny guh that
was for the.

Speaker 5 (51:46):
Patriots coaching and then one last team. The quarterback loves
video games.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
Oh, Michael PENNOCKX Junior Falcons.

Speaker 5 (51:57):
No, the Arizona Cardinals get out of town. Yeah, he's
got them as potential Cinderella's.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
You're gonna be five and twelve. Wow.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
According to our resident Niners, what are your thoughts there?
Rauld Fasciano from NFL on Fox. Those are his five
categories super Bowl tiers, super Bowl tiers, like he did
his NFL power ranking. We talked about that recently. What
do you think about that?

Speaker 2 (52:24):
I didn't hate it. Some surprises, but I didn't hate
it at all. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
No, what I'm really proud of I hate that I'm
hating that we didn't get all of it. I'm proud
of my dude, George Kittle and his approach. He's every
interview Kittle's doing, he's like, I love it. I love
that there's no drama, no one's talking about us. We're
gonna shock everyone and we're gonna be great. So you
mean the same thing that Aaron Rodgers said, George Kittle's
cooler and said it first.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
That's the same thing.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
And I want to tell my kids I'm very proud
of them, you know, they were giving out ram shirts
at my kids school and like, both of my kids said, no, thanks,
I don't want this. Wow, we'll take will take the
first caller that wants to play eight seven, seven nine
nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
And as we wait to get a call for this
fun game. Oh, by the way, it's your chance to
win an IOU for their football. Yeah. President Trump has
actually commented on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey. Uh called it.
You knew he would happen. You got it? I was saying,
or what, take a listen.

Speaker 8 (53:22):
Well, I wish him a lot of love. Yeah, I
think it's I think he's a great player. I think
he's a great guy, and I think that she's a
terrific person. So I wish him a lot of love.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
Very nice, very nice.

Speaker 1 (53:36):
I knew someone would ask him about it, or he
tweeted about it, or it would be addressed and just
like that, You got it, bo Biggest News. I mean
that's kind of how I feel.

Speaker 2 (53:46):
Biggest News. I mean, I mean that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
Every I mean, does anyone really, aside from oversaturation reasons, right,
does anyone really hate them? They're not hateable people. They're
not that hateable. She's like a you know, she's a
girl that writes a good music. She's a good role
model for kids. So he's a football player being sick
of that. He's a football player that has a great
relationship with his brother. With his brother, Hello mutter, Hello,

(54:10):
my Bretta, My Bretta. We've met both his parents and
they're sweet people. So we like the Kelsey's swift is cool.
We've interviewed them. Both great people. Wish them well. All right,
let's do this Showtime Mahomes Trivia.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
The mostly lovable Patrick Mahomes. Truth is, I want everybody
to love me, not just the refs. It's time for
some NFL trivia. I'm here, I'm.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Here, Yes, we know you're here, all right, Patrick Mahomes
here to play Showtime Homes Trivia.

Speaker 5 (54:43):
All right, FSR security walking our broke Patrick into the
main studio.

Speaker 1 (54:47):

news today. Hey, what's up guy?

Speaker 5 (54:55):
Yeah, I'm sure one hundred people have asked you about
it already.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
Yeah, And I'd rather talk about the the season, you know,
the game come up September fifth, Yep, I'd rather talk
some football.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
But I will say this.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
I've already talked to my bro already hit up Trav
and I told him you knew, Oh I knew, But
I told him not to expect a tweet from me
because I'm busy. And I told him, don't sign the prenup.
That's just my advice. Don't sign it. Well, you got
that first game of the year, well, the second game
of the year, but in Brazil, Chiefs charge, that's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
A big one.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
Buddy boy, Well, happy to be here, happy to be
playing this game because I'm already sick of talking about
Travis and Taylor.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
So let's go. You're gonna be one of the groomsmen.
Maybe I don't know. I just told you doesn't want
to talk.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
I just said I want to talk about it. You know,
you got a football trivia Jason Kelsey. I'm trying to
think of who else would be. There was a million
people ask me about it. Let's meet the contestants.

Speaker 5 (55:51):
Twenty four time winner Rich Davis right over there, oh
La in for twenty one time champion Dan Byer is
the one and only Isaac.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
Lowe how many time champion add one to it, and looking.

Speaker 5 (56:03):

Darren and Tulsa.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
Hey, what's up Darren?

Speaker 5 (56:09):
On guys, Thank you Dan, I love you all right.
Here are the rules for show Time ma Homes NFL Trivia.
The first contestant with two correct answers.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
By the way, I love Brittany and no one made
a big hooplob about my marriage is just saying high
school streethearts, and no one really care that much. If
there's a tie, Cosan is talking about Travis Kelse, we have.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
A tie breaker question. If it's needed.

Speaker 5 (56:30):
Your name is your buzzer, but you do have to
wait until all three possible answers are read. If there's
two wrong answers in a row, we move on to
the next question.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
Are you ready? Yes, Let's get it on.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
All right, Patrick Mahomes, I'm here. What are the most
total points ever scored in an NFL game? I figure
out noticed the most total points ever scored in an
NFL game? A one thirteen, B one twenty one or
C one O two Rich Rich one O two. See no,

(57:00):
some of them. Sounds like you thought wrong. Sounds like
you've been thinking about Taylor and Kelsey all day. Darren,
you want to try for the.

Speaker 2 (57:07):
Steal, Daren, b uh whatever that middle one B one
twenty one? No, you're both loser.

Speaker 1 (57:12):
All right, most total points ever scored NFL game is
A one thirteen? Is it?

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Rams Chiefs November.

Speaker 1 (57:18):
Twenty seventh, nineteen sixty six Redskins beat the Giant seventy
two forty one?

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Yeah? Right, skos Patrick.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
I don't expect you to remember the game you played
in so many but don't you guys remember that that
Rams Chiefs game? Then I was like, I felt it
was fifty something fifty something. I guess that wasn't the answer, Hi, Patrick.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
All right, round two? Nobody's on the board yet. All right?

Speaker 1 (57:39):
What was I once quoted saying about character? Okay, A,
I make sure that my friends are consistently good people.
B Never change who you are and be the best
you could be.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
There or that done? Bonehead? I mean, I mean Darren.

Speaker 1 (58:00):
See, sometimes when Max Crosby is chasing me, I lose
all self control and.

Speaker 2 (58:05):
Say really bad things. But it's not who I am.
So what did I want to say? What do you got? Derek? B?

Speaker 7 (58:14):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (58:15):
I always say it, never change who you are, be
the best you can be, and don't sign the pre nup.
I've always said that, Darren on the board as we
moved round three. All right, Patrick mahomes here on a
big day. But it's a it's a nice break from
all the questions about Taylor and Travis.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Round three.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
JaMarcus Russell went first overall in the two thousand and
seven draft.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
Who was picked second overall?

Speaker 1 (58:44):
A Joe Thomas, b Adrian Peterson or C Calvin Johnson.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
Baron Wait, darn.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
Damn mine, I could Hall of Famer Megatron with the
second pick. That was in two thousand and seven. And
thank you, Darren, dar and congrats. He said it with
his chest out and blew our air drums out. I
was gonna say his radio has turned up there for it.
Congrats brother, Yeah, hang on the line. We're gonna get
you on the waiting list for our next prize. Hey,

(59:19):
speaking of chest out, Hey, Rich, take a look at
this on TikTok. Look at his chick.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
Whoa.

Speaker 6 (59:25):
Yeah, I'm saying right, well, don't tell Britt about that.
Married Patrick.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
Yeah, I know, I know, but I'm hanging with the
boys right now.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
True, All right, all right, guys, hey, yeah, hey, congrats
to Travis and Taylor.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
And now good show guys by Patrick, Thanks good luck
on the new season. I just read a funny meme.
It's a boy.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
Imagine being a lifelong swiftye and you find out after
all these years she's engaged from Adam Schefter, Like that's
who breaks the news toal. Yeah, that's true. He's godham
shifter relation to the Big Three, Ice Cubes Big Three,
that's the thing. Yeah, that's doing good. Actually, yeah, it's

(01:00:08):
really cool. He in Orlando. It's in Orlando.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
He Orlando.

Speaker 5 (01:00:15):
Yeah, this past weekend Mario Chalmers had the game winning shot.

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
Yeah, it's actually pretty good.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Man. How am I supposed to be watching that one?
I'm so busy worried about Shade or Sanders being sabotaged.
Come on, he actually paid for a blimp to fly
around Orlando to promote the Big Three. And since it
was a good day, what do you think the blimp said?

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
I don't know what did she say? Everyone? Blimp used
to be like what you would call a fat person,
even saw the lights of the goodyear. Blimp money said
ice Cube is a pimp.

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
That's so funny, And that's a pretty cool promo to
promote his own league and to promote the Big three championships.
So this actually did happen, and you know it's base
on the very famous song today was a good day, So.

Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
It was a good day. Pimp on a blimp. It's
like yelf on a shelf.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Ice Cube is a pimp. And it made us think
of best promos and best promotions in sports. And it's
a double doozy because well, there was another I guess
sports promo in Detroit based on you said, based on
Magnum Pi, based on Blue Blood.

Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
They do this every year, they do Magnum p I
Day in Detroit. They all dress up.

Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
It's like that thing you went to dressed up like
Missus roper Rich, Remember when you went to that bridge
went to Missus roperthon or three companies. He's not He's
sort of telling the truth. I was in Jersey and
I had to go to a bar where there was
a miss there was a roper. All these women dress
up like Missus Roper And you're saying the same thing
happens in Detroit where everyone dresses up like Tom Selleck.

(01:01:49):
No dressed up like that one particular rescue ranger that
wears the Hawaiian Jones one's Magnum p I.

Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
Yeah, you mentioned this TV show could be in where
that comes into plays. This is the first time Magnum
p I's been available to actually go there and be
a part of it.

Speaker 7 (01:02:05):
That's cool.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
And he was on the Detroit broadcast yesterday. Listen.

Speaker 9 (01:02:08):
I never have been able to come to the park
and thank him because I was doing Blue Bloods for
fifteen years, so it was really nice to see him.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
The pilot.

Speaker 9 (01:02:16):
They were like three hundred people out.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
There, kids, just vic with mustach. I'm amazing.

Speaker 9 (01:02:22):
I'm glad the show survived. The show's in the Smithsonian
and for a very good reason. Quiet shirt and the
Detroit hat and my little team ring is maybe next
to Archie Bunker's chair or so.

Speaker 10 (01:02:35):
You were getting ready for mister Baseball and you were
part of spring training in Naty one. From everything that
I've read, you know, all the guys said that you
were they weren't what they were expecting, like with the
Hollywood actor coming in, and that you immersed yourself really
into just being one of the guys, and they gave
it back.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
To you a little bit too.

Speaker 9 (01:02:50):
I did, and I was glad, you know, if they
don't mess with you. They don't like it so and
I was a rookie most of the time. They treated
me like a rookie, like when we went to break
and that's where I met Jim Leland. He was at
the Pirates and he asked me over and was very nice.
But my job was to get my stuff together and
go out the front door draw the crowd.

Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
So they could all steak out.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
That's Tom Selleck in the booth in Detroit celebrating Magnum
p I Day.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
And what's shocking to me is, well, how old is
Tom Sellick. That's number one.

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
Number two is the fact that he's been doing Blue
Bloods for fifteen years, so long that he was never
able to attend. That's been on double the amount of
time that Magnum p I was.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
That's crazy. He's eighty. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
I feel it's fantastic for him man, and all our
moms still want him. A lot of people don't remember,
but he took batting practice with Detroit, remember in what yard.
He's fantastic. I will see you guys tomorrow. Have a
great Tuesday night. Until then, in the Promise Land, goodbye, guys.
