Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, thanks for listening to the best of Tabino and
Rich podcast. Be sure to catch us live every day

pacifics on Fox Sports Radio. Find your local stations for
Devino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio dot com, or
stream us live every day on the iHeartRadio app I
searching the FSR. We're gonna talk about you, Savage and

(00:25):
Snell in a second. But you know, we talked about
how every little kid has six seven turetts. It's like
when that dance move the floss came out and kids
couldn't stop doing it.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
We're in control.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Every little kid's like, ha ha, they had no control themselves.
It's the same thing with six seven and it means nothing.
It's a scrilla lyric that went viral describing LaMelo ball.
He's playing like seven seven and six seven kids ran with.
It became a viral thing. They don't know, they can't stop,
they don't know the origin. They just say, but it

(00:57):
means six to seven. Yeah, it means the thin. I'm
guilty of leaning into it. So this morning I dressed
up as the mascot and my kids elementary school. Oh,
I thought it was some freaky Friday bedroom antics. Oh
not at the school with my wife. I dressed up
in a Oh so, I dressed up as the lion.

(01:20):
I'm in a big costume for my kids elementary school. Okay,
it's you know, assembly Friday. They give up little awards,
so it's the school's mascot. Yeah, so I volunteer.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I dress up.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
You know, I'm pumping my fist. I'm having fun with
the kids, giving high fives. All these little kids love
the mascot.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
I feel like you were born to be a mascot.
I don't know if that's an insult or nu.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
In a different time, I feel like you'd be the
town jester of sorts performing for being Draffrey.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
So that's why I feel like in today's world, you're
a great mascot. Just like jumping around dancing with the kids,
and I have fun doing it. Why not, right, I'm
the fun dad that likes to do all these corny things.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
But I did lean in.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I saw like the third fourth in fifth grade is
the little the older kids in that elementary school. The
minute I went up to them, I started doing the
hand thing six seven. They all lost their little minds,
and I felt so I'm like, I'm the idiot that
I'm playing into it. But they all start screaming in unison.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Like six seven six. I'm like, they didn't even know
what it means.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
They're schools throughout the nation that have banned it from
the classroom, Like, you can't say that because kids can't
control themselves. And I imagine moving forward, every high school lineman,
every kid on basketball if he could, if kids playing baseball,
I'm sure he's trying to get a number sixty seven.
Stop it, exactly, stop it, but stop it. If you're

(02:40):
living that mom or dad life, or just in society,
Danny G. Have you seen this at all with your
your kids.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Or no.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
They are a little older, Yeah, and they so they
kind of look down on it. They're like, that's lame.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Well, not everybody lives that life.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Just say that if you have a nose picking nephew
or a little kid, or you know some grade schoolers
or teenagers, they're uncontrollable. They can't stop saying. Did you
see that viral video of that poor female sports reporter
who's trying to do a story. She's trying to do
a story, she's trying to just do her job, and
these drunk or high buffoons, these like little college kids

(03:19):
are just behind her the whole time, like shouting out
six to seven and doing the little thing NonStop at
the top of their lungs. Though it's wild insane how
that swept the nation. So just figured I throw that
out there, six seven, stop it. But let's talk some
snell Let's talk some you, Savage. We talked about how
the Blue Jays pitcher started the year and has had, like, wait,

(03:43):
the most miraculous year a little kid could have. When
I say little kid meaning he's a kid start of
the year at single A.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
You mean yes, vich you said?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Snell I said, yes, Savage, Yeah, Okay, started the year
at Single A and progress through every stage of the miners,
finds himself on the Blue Jays, pitches in the playoffs.
Now he's pitching in the World Series. We're talking about
a kid that didn't make the team out of camp,
was on a bus playing single A baseball, but just

(04:12):
put his head down, worked hard, and is what takes
a lot of minor league kids years to just keep
moving up the system. This guy started the year and
look at where he is now. Look at me now, mom,
starting game, So good for him, like that he lit
up the Yankees. Man, that game was insane. Remember he
h he pulled a Schlittler on the Yanks, like he

(04:35):
stepped up and dominated them. So he's pitching at home
Game one, the first World Series game in Toronto in
over thirty years, and he's the guy that takes the hill.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
That place is going to be electric. Buggy Yogi Yogi.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
But then on the other side of things, we talked
about dominating, dominating pitching performances in the postseason. We always
love to go back to you remember with the Giants
in the two thousands, Madison Bumgardner carried that team, or
we love to talk about years where Randy Johnson and
Kurt Schilling carried a team, or Don Drysdale.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Back in the day.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Right now, I don't think we're given enough credit to
Blake Snell in the postseason three and zero zero point
eighty six ERA twenty one innings pitched. He's only walked
five guys, has given up like a run like. Blake
Snell is everything Danny your Dodgers could have wished in
dream for.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, and he fit right in.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
He was injured obviously throughout the season, so he got
healthy at the perfect time.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
It doesn't even matter that he missed the regular season.
He's giving you this. He's earning his contract simply now.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
The one thing that he's pointed out, he said that
all throughout his baseball life, this is the best chemistry
he's ever been around or a part of.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
So he loves playing with the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Like the Dodgers needed that. You know they're gonna Honestly,
I think they're gonna win. I'd love to see a
competitive series, but I don't think that Blue Jays are
gonna be able to handle this. The Dodgers just too good,
too healthy, at the right time. Blue Jay's got their
hands full. I hate to say that, but.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Is there a party of the things?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Well, maybe the Blue Jays will be playing a little
loose and the Dodgers there's an expectation. Hey, they fight,
they're scrappy. Here's their advantage. Here's what you're gonna witness.
If you haven't paid close attention, you're gonna see still
in the mountain. You're gonna see every Blue Jay falling
off pitches, starting with Alejandro Kirk who just fouls them
off until eventually he gets a hit.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
That's how great this team is. And it's contagious with them.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
They just keep foling off pitches, falling off pitches, battling, battling,
tough on two until they either walk or they make
some count. They're always making contact and that's what makes
them dangerous. So you know they have that going for him.
But they always say it good pitching stops good hitting.
And the Dodgers got some pretty good pitching all lined
up tonight.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Game one. Excitement in the air, super pumped. I'll be
watching again.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Danny g big time Dodgers fan, Sam Spott, Bayern, none
of us big Dodgers or Blue Jays fans, rich Mets fan.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
I'm a Yankees fan.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
But you don't see this hat right here. You see
his hat. Yeah, well that's la hat. That's nice to
you because he's live here. He's La Sam rail l.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I mean ten years. I mean he's been here.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
I'm a Dodger fan. Like if the Phillies didn't knock
the Dodgers off, I'd reach for the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
No, that's fair enough. I mean Sam's a big sports fan.
He's been here ten years.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
I mean my son, Danny G.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I mean he's got his uniform, him in full uniform, Danny,
I don't know. I don't know if he's ready to
go back. I don't know if I don't know if
I could get behind Sam with the Dodgers hat.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I'm having a hard time. I got to Dodgers shirts.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
I got a Dodger's hat, I got a Dodger's clock,
I got a Dodgers Clayton Kershaw bobblehead.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
What more do you need?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I'm with you on Matt.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
He's official.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
I'm official, Danny G said.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
So my son is five, that's around the time you
start really developing your interest in sports, right for ten years,
but I'm saying that's around the time you start deciding
what teams you like. You know, I mean you're a
little boy, and my son he's like, call me Benny Betts.
Unlike Benny Betts. That breaks my Mets heart, But Betts
breaks your metst You're Benny. So my son's like, call

(08:09):
me Benny Betts. He's five, Can I call him? But Bennie,
you're Benny Benny Betts. But Benny, Benny Betts.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
You're in your thirties. You can't just break up a
Dodgers fan. Now, I'm in here for ten years.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
I don't know, do you guys remember last year I
told you that my son took an affinity to the
Dolphins because they're Dolphins and he was.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Three at the time.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, yeah, there's like Dolphins. So that was his team.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
Uh Monday and Eddy rooted for the Texans against my Seahawks.
Had no reason why, but he was against me. So
I don't know. Maybe it's something with young maybe young
boys that don't want to cheer for their dad's teams.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
There was no reason, like I like the quarterback or.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
The Colors, or he does like a song called Texas
by Cody Johnson band, but that would be the only
reason why.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Or maybe they just want to be their own man.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I don't know, but that's like, you know, my son's
in that age where you remember when you just walked
around the house pretending to throw and pretending to swing,
like that's that's your life.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Paul O'Neil did that too in the airfield all the time.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
So my son he'll pick. He knows all the team's logos.
That's like his little thing, like he likes the Saints
colors and logo. But I'm like, buddy, that team is
not good, you know. I'm like, you don't want to
you don't want to be a Saints fan. He's like,
the Saints are cool, gold like golden Black. I'm like, ah, buddy,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
I feel for you guys. Thank goodness.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
My son's only two, so he hasn't revolted against my
favorite teams. If he does, I'm sending him to military school.
I'm not going to be I.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Say this kindly gives you my one of my best bros.
I if little co is like Dad, I like the Padres,
that would be the coolest thing, right.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
He's like, I love the way my Homes plays.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yea, But Dad, I love Mahomes and Tettis Junior. That's
what I love.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
Dad.

Speaker 7 (09:57):
It's fun.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Don't you dare put that out there? Yeah, not for
your sake, So get ready for it. It's gonna be
a good one. Yesovich Like you heard Rich said, he
climbed every rank in one year. What a year for
that guy. And now he's on the biggest stage of
ball versus Snell the Dodgers at Toronto.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Gonna be a good one.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I know you can say it about every pitch and
every inning of every game in the regular season, but
there's something about postseason baseball where every mistake, every fundamentally
good play, things just they feel so amplified. I get
it out obviously, but if you know, if the guy
you know pops up with runners in scoring position instead

(10:40):
of moving them. Over the regular season, yeah bummer. In
the postseason is so magnified when someone doesn't do their job.
You know, it also is really magnified. Is how what
happens in game one also plays a part of what
happens in game two. Like if these guys work your bullpen,
Danny g and they're fouling off pitches and falling off pitch,
isn't found off pitches, Yeah, that that has implications on

(11:03):
the next game.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
It's like a game of chess that carries over to
the next.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Game because then they eliminate that, eliminate that dude from
the bullpen. And the Blue Jays are so noticeably good
at that stuff, and that gonna work the work the count,
work the count. That's the only way the blue Jays
beat the Dodgers. If the blue Jays get to the Dodgers' bullpen,
which and just which is the Dodgers, Achilles Heel, the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
And now Novea. Yeah, no middle relief. Guys.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Is there any update on that, by the way, because
that's a really weird story.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
There's just formers because people had been following his wife
on ig expecting right the last time she posted was
like six days ago, and so people are worried that
she's having complications.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
So the story is he went back home and he's
missing the first two games because he has some deeply
personal family issues. Wishing his family the best, so yeah,
we're wishing them the best, but you can only help
but speculate. It's like, what could be so important that
he's missing the World Series? Right, you play your whole
life for that moment. It's to be something really serious.

(12:02):
So yeah, I pray for them and you know, wish
for the best, and I do hope on a personal level. Look, families, first,
I get all that, especially if it's something serious like that.
But for his sake, this is his chance to play
in a World series, you know. So I know it
doesn't matter as much as life in the big picture,

(12:23):
but you would hate to miss out on something special
like that. True, But I think I think like that's
like such a minuscule thought in someone's mind when they
have real stuff going on, like respects that real thing
worse and that you know when you're thinking back, like,
not only did this happen?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
But I don't think I missed the worst.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I don't. I don't think if my family had a
personal traumatic situation, I don't think the World Series would
be on my mind at all. Like, who cares, it's
the World Series? This is really you're also talking about.
That's what they identify as. I know that's a nice
righteous thing to say. Your head wouldn't be in the
right place, though, But you play a whole life, in
your whole career to make it this far, and you're
not even a part of it. You're gonna say that

(13:00):
doesn't play a factor or matter at all. Yeah, but
because it does.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
But I don't think you'd have the right.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, maybe not in the moment. In the moment, yes,
you're you'd be focused on family and whatever tragedy or
whatever severity is going through right now. But when he
looks back, he's like, and I missed the World Series,
I'll still get a ring. He'll still get a ring.
But I like that that's not an easy decision, So
I think it I think it is. I think as

(13:25):
you get older, you realize like these are, like the
World Series is important, but like pales in comparison to
anything involving your wife or kid.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Or I imagine that's why it has to be really serious.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, that's for him to be so wishing him the best,
but the only way But if you think that's not
a factor, I disagree. The only way the Blue Jays
have a chance in this series is getting to that bullpen.
And Kavino's right, they take good at bats, they don't,
you know, I don't think Snell's going to have fifty
five pitchers through six innings.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Like they work counts. They play good baseball so much so.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Like I said, you know how you say everything counts
and everything matters, You're going to see this matter and
you're gonna see this count because I'm like, oh my god,
these guys are they're they're they're what what's the word discipline? No, No,
they're fundamentally sound. Oh no, they're like they just keep
coming at you. There resilience, they don't if there's a
word assistant. I don't know if that's the crappy. No,

(14:19):
I don't know if that's you know what, when I
think of it, I'll let you know.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
We give you like seven.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
It might be resilient, It might be resilient. This team
is resilient. But it's but it is a sense of
I mean, watch tonight. We're gonna be totally wrong and
Snell cruises. But if they get to Snell, if you
could get Snell out of that game pitching six innings
or less, I think that's a victory for the Blue Jays.
If Snell get comes out of there five and two thirds,
the blue Jays now get you get three plus innings

(14:44):
of the bullpen. That's that's how you find a way
to compete. You can't let Snell, Yamamoto Otani, you can't
let these guys go in six, seven innings.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
It's just seven to eight nine eight seven. Can't do it.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
But you just did your little jerk it. So hey,
enjoy your World's series game one tonight. Yeah, it all
comes down to this series. Man, it's been a fun season.
We'll see what happens. The Dodgers are so dominant and powerful.
Their only chance is that relentless style of baseball where
they never give up a pitch, never give up in

(15:18):
that bat, and they're just falling off, found off, found
off until they get the pitch to hit and Boba
shed his back and we'll see how that plays into
their lineup too. So super excited about it. Game one tonight,
and I hope you had a great Thursday night. I
hope you watched something good. Vikings Chargers, Chargers looking dominant.
I hope you had a Chargers store tonight. We got
some NBA to talk about, we got some Joey Flacco

(15:39):
still talk about.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
What do you think of Chad Powers? I know you
finally watched I'm digging it. I like it. I can't
say I love it.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I'll come on, I love it.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Do I like it?

Speaker 7 (15:48):
Love it?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Gotta have it? I like it, I don't love it.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Rich Brenda said she usually likes your referrals as far
as TV shows.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
This one, she said, for real, Yeah, she said, how's
all good. It's Glenn Powell, it's the Manning brothers.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Thought it was cheesy, thought the acting was bad.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
It's the production on Hulu, and it's fun. It's you know,
it's goofy, it's fun. I'm enjoying it so far. I'm
on like episode four, so based on that character that
Eli played when he put that rubber prosthetic nose on,
and I know, I think it's so stupid, Like did
Breda not like Eastbounding Down with Kenny Powers?

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Yeah, I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
I don't see the similarity other than Powers though. It's
like dirty stupid jokes mixed in with like a sort
of a heartfelt sort of storyline. Danny McBride is raw,
him and Stevie compared to nothing this show. I don't
see the talking. Fine dude, But anyway, we have lots

(16:47):
to get to on this show. Rich's TV Rich's Big
TV Game of the Week, Brainwave is the new game
that sweep in the nation forget about World Series Game one.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Brainwave.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
That's the game that's That's what you're gonna watch, giving
away prizes when you get your chance to play. Call
it eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox Plus Weekend
hob Nobbing. What you need to watch this weekend aside
from Huluse, What's called Glenn Powers? Chad Powers, Chad Powers
Dope starring Glenn What's His name Glenn Howell.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Glenn. You just got conflated it. There is Glenn Powers,
Glenn Powell on Chad Powers.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Sam, I'm gonna hit your head against the desk relentless.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
You know. We're gonna go to DV for an update
a few but let me let me set something up.
Yesterday we talked briefly. We couldn't really get into a
run out of time. Joey Flacco talked about that guy
you would see at the bar eaten by himself.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Sam, do you have the audio of you mean me
an hour from now?

Speaker 8 (17:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Are you gonna watch a game solo style of run? Yes,
I absolutely am, and I look forward to it. There's
a lot of you know, chatter here in the studio.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
It's a lot.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
So when I go home or when I go get
something to eat later on, I need to decompress. I
got a teenage daughter, I got a NIX wife, I
got a young girlfriend. I enjoy my alone time.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
I love it. I live for it.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
You talk to the person next to you at the bar,
Small small talk sometimes matter.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah, I mean, I don't want to be bothered, but yeah, sure,
I'm not opposed to it. So I'll watch some of
the game by myself later right after the show, get
something neat, and then I gotta do the homecoming thing.
Today's actually for a lot of high schools around the country,
it's homecoming. So I have a Friday night lights game
to go to tonight here in California, and my daughter's

(18:36):
cheerleading for a lot of people, younger kids trunk or
treat weekend. Yeah, so it's a big weekend of that.
So right before I do the homecoming football game at
the high school out here, I'm gonna beating a burger
by myself. Well, Joey Flekel talked about hanging by himself
and that guy that you see sitting at the hotel bar.

Speaker 9 (18:53):
I think there's always a challenge of sitting in a
room by yourself and being lonely. So for me, it's
trying to find a way to maybe stay over here
a little bit longer, and then you know, just kind
of take myself out of that mindset, call home, go
sit at a restaurant, buy myself and realize that man,
that's pretty enjoyable to do.

Speaker 10 (19:14):
You know.

Speaker 9 (19:15):
After there's not too many situations, I tell you, I
tell people all the time I mean, I used to
see guys sitting at a bar by themselves or you know,
just sitting by themselves eating and grabbing a little meal,
and I'm like, man, I feel so bad for that guy.
You almost want to go join them.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
And now I realize, like that dude was in heaven.

Speaker 7 (19:31):
Yeah, you know what.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
I saw a meme that I agree with that it's the.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
The meme said, my two favorite times are spending time
with my kids and then spending time not with my kids.
You can enjoy all the time with your kids, but
everyone wants a little time. Like Dan Bayer on the
golf course, you love hanging with your son, but you
know you probably love to getting away for a minute.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
Yes, and there's nothing better than a late evening just
walking out catching nine holes by yourself.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Not pair you up with anybody. He's out there, you
and your clubs.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
But you know there's a misconception there, and I'm sure
he didn't mean it in any way, but he says,
you know, lonely, It doesn't mean you're lonely. I feel
like lonely is a feeling you have when you're feeling
down on yourself and feel bad about yourself or you're
sad about something, Dude, I'm gonna go eat a burger
later and enjoy every second of it.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Like there are times lonely. There are times if I
feel like, oh my god, this is great.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
If I heard or serious exam sends you to go
host something and I don't know Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Those are cool moments and you do your event, you
go back to.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
The hotel and you're like, I'm gonna sit at the
hotel bar and get a cheeseburger and a beer.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
That's sort of like a cool feeling. But there are
certain things that I try to avoid by myself.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
I feel that by myself, solo, alone, and lonely are
all different meanings. All are different meanings in some sort
of way, like Flacco going, it's going solo, you know,
by himself, there's nothing, you know, lonely different different feel
I think, alone, different feel but yeah, by himself, actually I.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Agree, it could be liberating in a lot of ways.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
I saw a video of this young Dodgers fan speaking
of the Dodgers and he says he goes to games
by himself all the time because he was sick of
hearing no all the time.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yo, you want to go to the game tonight. No,
he'd go to his girlfriend. You want to go to
the game tonight.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Now, he's like, you know what, I'm so sick of
playing by everyone else's rules and clock and whatever they're
down for. I'm just going by myself. And he built
the whole community. He goes there by himself, has the
best time. No one bothering him, no one telling him
he shouldn't have another beer, knowing I'm telling tell him
that he can't have a hot dog. He's gonna do
what he wants when he wants. Like, there's something liberating
about that too. No, supervisor, Yeah, no, yeah, No, one

(21:40):
like judging you because you're having fun at the game.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I agree with what you said.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Uh A, certain things you try to avoid well only
as a negative connotation, So I agree they're not d
me and you both said it.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Yeah, I am not.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Enjoying my time by myself, you know how much? All Right,
there's a reason I'm pretty decent at guitar. You know,
I'm good at guitar rich because I enjoyed my alone
time and I like developed a skill. You think I
was doing it in a presence and company of other
people when I'm alone. I do not play guitar, but
that but my point is the different skill that we

(22:10):
can't talk about. My point is that's what you're You're
using that time constructively. If you're comfortable in your own
skin and you like who you are, as John Candy
said yes recent documentary, I like me. If you like
yourself and you enjoy your own company, it's not a
lonely feeling. You're just having a Hamburg, you're watching the game,
but we're all removed and rich. You're further into marriage

(22:34):
than i am. I'm three years married. How many years
for you now?

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Deck over a decade?

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (22:39):
When you used to have almost every meal by yourself,
it's a little, It can be a lot after a
while if you're single for a long period of time.
I'm not saying it's all bad, but it could be
fun to eat with the right partner. No, no one's
saying that sharing a Burger and Sharon and I is
ever bad. But being with yourself isn't necessarily bad unless

(22:59):
you suck. Honestly, that's the truth. If you can't watch
a game at a bar by yourself, you probably suck.
Or if you can't go to a movie by yourself.
I always thought that was weird that people judged.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
I've never done that, But maybe it is cool, and
I just don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
I've never done that.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
Here's the thing with Flacco though, because Flacco is in
a new city, a different city, and he's staying at
a hotel. Yeah, right, that's where he's living at.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
The whole backstory is that this time his kids and wife,
they're in a school system. It's not like, let's uproot
the family, We're going to Cincinnati. He's decided this is
probably not long term stay put.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
Yes, and so who's gonna make dinner? Right, So he's
gonna go out and he's gonna go out by himself
and have dinner, as opposed to somebody who may be
home alone that guess what, they go out to maybe
interact with people at that time because they don't want
to sit at home by themselves. He's doing it out
of necessity, yea, even though if it's at four point
thirty in the afternoon, he wants to beat the rush

(23:59):
as well.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
But I think the big thing, though, is there's a
big difference between alone time, solo missions and being lonely.
Lonely to me, insinuates like you haven't dated anyone in
a long time, you don't really have many friends, and
you sort of are sad about it, like rely, Yeah,
it looks like you're kicking a rock down. Yeah, like
your your head's down, you know, like there's a cloud
above you. Maybe alone. I'm not lonely. No one likes

(24:23):
me now I have cuts. Yeah, to me, that's lonely.
A longe time and solo missions.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
That's like you.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Right, You're on a business trip by yourself and you're like,
I'm gonna go to the coolest steakhouse of this town,
sit at the bar, order an old fashioned and have
a steak and shade. You know how great it feels
when you get your bill and it's like you're only
paying for yourself. You're like, wow, that's not as expensive
as it usually is when you're paying for the whole family,
or when you're paying for your date or whatever. Like

(24:53):
when it's by yourself, man, it's a great feeling if
you're in a healthy space. I houp for your family
a Sunday morning equals you by yourself at Mastro steakhouse.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
And you get that on business trips, right, Rich that's
a great feeling. But there are certain things where it
does feel a little weird. Like if you go to
an amusement park by yourself. I think that's a little weird.
The movie thing, I know people do it. I've never
done it. I kind of think if it's a children's movie,
that's weird. You got that that's stressed, all right, that's question.
But otherwise you're going to watch the film, not to
talk to somebody. I've gone to two movies now in La.

(25:27):
I've never done before. I've gone to two movies in
LA by myself, and I was very happy with it.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
If there's a world you're talking to your friend anyway,
you're just watching the movie Big Game.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
And you know Big Game, no one else has the
money for the ticket, or your friend can't get off,
why wouldn't you just go there and go don't.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Go fifty thousand of your other homies.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Yeah, things, there's certain things that I don't see any
problem or issue with it. K You're so right.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
If you go to a stadium to a game, you
got you got forty thousand and fifty thousand built in
homies around you. Last summer, I went to New York
for a quick like forty eight hours, and I called
up my old school pals and everyone just happened to
have plans.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
It was like a Wednesday night. It was like, dude,
I got my kids this no one was available.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
I went to the Mets game, bought one ticket behind
home plate in the kushi in the cushy seats. Because
you buy one ticket, it's sometimes it's a great deal. Cushist.
It was a kushi seats cushy. It was like seventy
bucks right behind home plate. I sat there by myself.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Did you have sushi cushy cushy?

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Please?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Feeling super douchey with my kushi sushi.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
But yeah, there are there are fun solo missions and
Jamar Chase had a response. We'll get to that after
DB's update. What's up, Dvy dam Rich no Brock. Party
ruled out of their game against the Texans.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Max Jones and I got Mac.

Speaker 6 (26:46):
Yeah, not necessarily a surprise, but Mac Jones will get
the start again in week eight as Party has been
ruled out. As for Lamar Jackson, full participant in practice today,
that's good news, but the Ravens still listening to him
as questionable to face the Bears coming up on Sunday.
Tyler Huntley will be the backup in Baltimore, so if
Lamar can't go, Huntley will get the start against Chicago.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
It's time for a tire I Rack play of the Day.
Oh you got this one, buddy? How about how about
Steph Curry. You've seen him put on a show. Hey,
speaking of shows, he put one on yesterday. He told
Denver to call time out cause he was sending the
game overtime.

Speaker 8 (27:26):
Raymond pops out on guard and gets the ball, flipped
it to Curry straight for Curry three from half courty.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Hey, first one person on a planet that would take
that shot.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
And he nailed it.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Four time, twenty one point four ago, one person on
the planet that would make it. Kids at the playground
take it all the time because they think they're Steph Curry.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Warriors ruined Aaron Gordon's big night.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
He had fifty points beat the Nuggets one thirty seven
point thirty one in overtime. Courtesy of ninety five seven
the Game Warriors Radio Network. That our tire Rack play
of the Day, even though Curry had to play the day.
Props again to Gordon, a fifty Burger is what the
meme says, fifty points, eight rebounds. Props to him playing

(28:13):
big So an exciting week of NBA basketball, even though
we're pumped about the World Series Game one tonight and
all the foosball this weekend. Yeah, honestly speaking, this weekend
weekend Hobnoben coming up next hour.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
What you need to watch. We said it, We said
it yesterday.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
In fact, we posted a clip on our Instagram if
you missed it, little summary of how right now we
really are in a great moment in sports, like sports renaissance,
like baseball, football, basketball, all of those majors are clicking
at the same time.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
That's the key.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Yeah, we've had great football seasons, we've had some good
basketball seasons, to feel like all of them are clicking,
all of them are popping at the same time. That's
what's different right now. It all seems really exciting now
to see what you're hearing. Remember we're on YouTube right now.
You can also watch over Promise our on his podcast
that debuted, Episode one fourteen debuted yesterday Coveno and Rich FSR.

(29:06):
If you want to see Rich jumping out of a seat,
If you want to see Rich spinning around in his
chair and excitement because it's a glorious Friday and rich FSR.
Now we talked about Joey Flacco and solo missions. Some
solo missions are great, grand wonderful. Some are a little
weird and creepy and may appear to be you know,
you said creepy summingly, ask you, yeah, weird or normal

(29:29):
for a guy to go to an adult establishment sola,
Like if you're going to Newdie bars by yourself, that's
kind of weird. You know, it means it's it's your
because you have creepy E're on a creepy mission. If
you're going out to meet women by yourself, I don't
find out to be weird weird, you know why. I
feel like it's like going to the mall with somebody.

(29:50):
You know, a lot of times you're not getting your
your You're you're not accomplishing what you went there for.
So if I if I'm going out and about really
to meet women, sometimes other people get my way up.
I'll be honest, you see, blocking there is something we
said about objective. Your analogy is great. If you do
go to the mall, remember like back in the day,
you go to the mall. Yeah, you show your wife
or girlfriend, Hey, what do you think it is? And
she's like, I don't like that, and then you end

(30:12):
up going home empty handed. You go there by yourself,
you feel like you accomplish something. You come home in
bags of clothes. I did a good job. But like
an example, like a gentleman's club, if you go there
with your buddies's it gonna be a bachelor party. Hey,
we're in Vegas. If you go by yourself, you're right there.
So you're in your instinct saying you're a bad guy.

(30:32):
You know you're aware on a business trip.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
I get it, I get it. I understand we've been there.
That's the guy in the corner making this sound.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Flacco says, I used to look at that guy and say, man,
poor guy. But now I look at him. I think
he's in heaven. That guy's enjoying him. So Jamar Chase
had a response to this, Take a listen.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
I would never go eat by myself. I could do
that at home.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
If you walked into a restaurant you saw Joe Flacco
sitting there by himself, would you join him or just
be like I would?

Speaker 7 (31:00):
Bro we gotta go get in the back room or something.

Speaker 11 (31:02):
You need to be in the front, you know.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Yeah, I mean Tamar Chase is a young man. Table
for one, He's he's not there yet. He's not there yet.
He still wants to hang with the boys. Go in
the back room, pop some bottles, order a bunch of appetizers.
Joe Flacco's at the stage in life now where you
do acknowledge that alone time, that me time is something nice.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Yeah, it is.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
And your thoughts your phone calls eight seven seven ninety
nine O Fox and Everything at Covino and Rich at
Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
We'll do quickie right now, branded in Vancouver. What's up man,
Hey Brandon, Hey.

Speaker 7 (31:35):
How's it going.

Speaker 10 (31:36):
So I've been a father since I was nineteen.

Speaker 12 (31:39):
I have three grown kids now, damn. I have worked
on the road for a long time, and going out
by myself when I was out on the road was
one of the best times because it's just me. I
didn't have to worry about anything else.

Speaker 10 (31:54):
You just enjoy yourself.

Speaker 12 (31:56):
Look, and then the other thing is when they go
out of town and you get the house to yourself
for a whole weekend or something.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Oh, that's a beautiful feeling. As well. But I think
I think we can all relate that alone time is special.
So Cleen is the house.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
When you're the only one there, it's great, the cleanest,
great feeling. All right, Hey, we got more CNR next
right here, Fox Sports Radio. But say hi to James
in Virginia. What's up James, James, we were talking solo
missions all out. Joey Flacco eating lonely burgers. He's at
the stage of life where sitting alone on a road
trip at the bar, it's good, you know. Especially listen,

(32:32):
this guy's played in the NFL for all long ass time.
He's got kids, he's got responsibility, So those moments of
a lone time and again I always picture sitting at
the hotel bar having a burger and a drink is
the best example.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
He embraces it. Others don't like doing solo missions.

Speaker 10 (32:50):
Around gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Hey, buddy, what's up James?

Speaker 10 (32:54):
Every Friday? Guys, I tell you the commanders big time,
all the time, every time. Man and no, I'm definitely
feel Chase Man. When I was a guy in my twenties,
I definitely had to be with the fellas Man. It
was NonStop. But as a forty two year old man today.
I truly believe man, that happiness starts from within man.
And you have to love yourself before you can love
anybody else man, before you can share all that look

(33:15):
and sometimes you have to be by yourself to really
learn what you like in life, man. So taking time
to be alone it's never a bad thing.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Dude. That was a great call and I really related words.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
No, no, for real, because I think we all felt
like Jamar Chase and the same way James did when
we were younger, and we evolved into like nah, man,
A long time is great time. But I think it's
a lot of you know, feeling comfortable with yourself, just
the difference between someone Jamar Chase at Joey Flacco's age.
That is the age where you start to become more

(33:48):
comfortable with who you are. And Joey Flacco was like, dude,
ive been here, done that, I'm the man. Well I
saw what's his name?

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Noah? Trevor.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Noah was on some podcasts talking about how men do
have a pro album with It's always the third thing.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
It's like me you and what are we doing? Me?

Speaker 3 (34:04):
You and what me?

Speaker 10 (34:05):
You?

Speaker 1 (34:05):
And steake me you and Burgers, Me, you, and the game.
Buddies don't just hang out and just sit there and
chill anymore, you know, so we always feel like we
need to be doing something with our friends.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
That's a good point. And I usually think that guy's terrible.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Yeah, no, I don't. I'm not a big fan of you.
Cald It like the third something or whatever. It's always Yo, me,
Danny and let's go to David Busters, Me, you, and
let's go watch.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
The game Me you, and like you don't always have
to do something.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
And I think that's the thing with guys, and that's
why we cherish our long time too, because we can
actually just chill and relax every once in a while.
But it would be nice if you could have your
buddies around and just chill and not have to drink,
not have to put on a show.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
You'll not really have to force the conversation. You just
sit there.

Speaker 12 (34:48):
You know.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I was pretty good with that with.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
My hometown buddies, but you know, we're out here in
LA and you always do feel like you need that
third thing.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
In Virginia's call there. It was a good point because
we we all have that friend or multiple friends who
can't be alone. They always rebound right to another relationship
right away.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Or need that third thing, My point is you don't
sometimes you just you could still be with friends. It's
just that pressure of having to entertain or do something
to tell jokes that doesn't always have to be there.
And women would, they say, And Trevor Noa said this too.
Women are better at that than we are because they
get to sit there and talk and talk things out
and actually speak from the heart and from the mind.

(35:27):
And we always like have to have a game on
or something, and that's fine too, But you know, that's
why I think we enjoy our alone time.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
I think a good friend is someone who comes over,
you go over their place and like you don't have
to entertain them, they don't have to entertain you.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Yes, but how often does that happen?

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Sam?

Speaker 5 (35:42):
Those are your really good friends, right, because you feel
like there's no tension in the air. You can just
sit there and with complete silence if you want.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
In complete science, you know, and if there's a lan
in the conversation, so be it, you know, get up and.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Go get more peanuts.

Speaker 7 (35:54):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Yeah, sounds uncomfortable, no, but I think that's why we
do cherish our alone time because when we are with
our buddies, you know a lot of times it's well,
what are we doing to keep it fun, to entertain
to you know, what's that third thing that's keeping us
entertained and occupied?

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Jerry in Phoenix, what's up, Jerry, Hey buddy.

Speaker 13 (36:13):
Hey guys, love your show, Love your show. Thank Davis
Fellow forty nine er fan here.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (36:19):
So when I was nineteen years old, nineteen eighty seven,
I moved up to San Francisco, had my own place
on all by myself. I didn't have the television for
about the first year I lived there, So watching my
San Francisco Giants make the playoffs for the first time
in my life, I used to walk down to left
the o'duels in downtown San Francisco and watch the game there,

(36:42):
eating my burger and drinking my soda because I wasn't
even old enough to drink alcohol at the time. But
I really enjoyed that and look back at that memory
pretty fondly.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
Yeah, that's really cool, and I think, to wrap it up,
I think it depends on where you're at in life.
And you hear that in those two clips we played
on is that contrast that we all experienced at some
point in our life. You were like, nah, I gotta
be with all the boys. Yeah too, No, I'm cool
being alone. I think that's that's the mark of a
good friendship. Like you said, when you could just really
do nothing with someone, You're like, all right, then that's

(37:13):
a pal mm hmm, totally.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
All right. We're gonna get to big TV game in
a second. But one thought about show.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Hey, as we entered Game one of the World Series tonight,
they just showed a little clip on TV of like,
you know, his last game six innings, ten strikeouts, three
home runs, one out of Dodger Stadium. Does he have
a in your mind, Danny, a mulligan of sorts for
the first game or so if he if he has
an O for tonight or has a rough start, do
we how long is he able to live off of?

Speaker 14 (37:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
But like a week ago, I had the greatest game
in the history of.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Baseball, Well he has no mull again with our very
own Rob Parker, no show tany Yeah. Yeah, I think
rich that that people are gonna understand that he can
get into the bad habit of taking those tight inside
pitches and then the pitcher.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
If they're smart, they go outside and you see him reach.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
He reaches and has the awkward outside swaying.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
It just y exactly, And that's what was going on
when he was cold. But no one he could explode
in any moment.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Like we were saying before he unleashed that three home
run game, he was bett in one fifty before that,
we we said his presence was still there. So you know,
even if he has a bad game or two rich,
his presence is still going to be a difference in
the game.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
And he is patient at the plate. That's when you
see him have his breakout games.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
And one last thought about the alone time. This is
an interesting thing too. You see, as you know, listen
our parents generation and grandparents' generation. You know what the
big difference is a lot of your parents and grandparents
got married when they were like twenty ish or so,
like twenty three, twenty two, twenty four. They went straight
from like honestly, like school or the military or whatever

(38:51):
they did to like married. A lot of our friends
meet the right woman or the right dude when they're
thirty thirty five, forty something.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Yeah, we've gotten to know herself.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
You spend a lot of alone time, which is why
I think sometimes it's hard to break your habits of like, no,
I need that alone time because if you're like picture
one of your single buds, if you have a single
friend around forty, you can't just link up with someone
and live a cohabiting lifestyle when you're really just.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Been living on your own for a while.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
So that on Love is Blind with that that one girl,
that successful woman who was like, maybe, uh, maybe I'm
not cut out for this, you know, because she's been
on her own and successful.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
Mean, yeah, the spar sparkle Meg.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Not to spoil Love is Blind for you, but her
whole deal was she's like a good looking, hotshot woman
that made a ton of money and she's the type
as he said, they could play pickleball on a Wednesday
morning and he's like he's like.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
Yeah, I gotta like work and bring my kids to
school where you know.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
She's like boring.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Yeah, honestly, think about it.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
You see you see moms out here, Calabasa's moms would
where like the Kardashians lives and stuff. They're all like
doing things at like ten eleven in the morning any
given day, Like does anyone work. That's definitely in la
right sort of thing. Yeah, you notice that when you're
here long enough, does everyone do all right? So we
have a few things that we have to get to
this hour. Brain Wave, the game to Sweeping the nationa

(40:18):
wave game one of the World Series. And brain waves
brain waves notower waves. Yeah, there's no waves, just one
bandy waves, all the same brainwaves. That's how you win
a prize. We'll tell you when to call in for
that and get ready to Waves eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox Plus Weekend hob Nob and what you
need to watch. But Rich is gonna let you know

(40:39):
right now. As far as foosball man, by the way,
last week last night, did you sort of tune out
because the Chargers sort of have their way?

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Listen last night truth be Told.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
I had my kids practice, I played some softball, I
was I was out in about I was watching the
game on and off of my phone, and I'm like,
this game stinks.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
I felt bad.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
It was kind of I felt bad for a boss.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Not that I'm kissing ass, but he's a Vikings fan
and he went there I saw with his kid and stuff.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
So it's like just a rough go for the Vikings, but.

Speaker 4 (41:09):
The biggest reason why the Chargers were able to get
two of their best O linemen back, especially Joe Alt.
And that just shows you how important it is in
the NFL to have your your best foot forward there
on your line Nogg because Herbert was running for his
life prior to those two injured players returning.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
I know people don't care about others fantasy teams, but
Dan Bayer, you're the fantasy guy. Got the show every weekend.
I pick up Jordan Mason this week random way of like, yeah,
let me add him to my roster. Four carries three
yards like.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
That is Yeah. The Aaron Jones return was not helpful
and that was not good at all.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
I was like, damn And by the way, Aaron Jones
four carries fifteen yards.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Yes, yes, it was rough.

Speaker 6 (41:50):
And even though I'm a Rich Davis guy, Cavino knows
that I have the I Want Your Flex podcast. My
Sunday show is the NFL Late Window. So rich, I'm
a Rich Davis guy, but there isn't a fantasy show
on the weekend. You know knows about it, though you
know it does a lot of people love to talk. Oh,
you work at Fox sports. They start talking fantasy stuff
with me. That's not my expertise. So but I feel

(42:11):
cool knowing that I have your show in my back pocket,
Like you look fantasy. Here's what I direct people to
Dan to look at this guy true, like you've got
you know where I get my info from. I want
your flex podcast, Dan Meyer's great, you gotta check that out.
I'll also say having a one arm Carson wentz to
not help Minnesota last night.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
That was painful to watch. I can't imagine what she
was going through. So beat up.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Yeah, just just not a really eventful game. But we've
had some good ones on Thursday, so you're due for
a stinker here there all.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
But you know we got to do now. We got
to go over the big TV game of the week.
Let's go. You should hear my fat up.

Speaker 8 (42:47):
I got an extra TV the game game that I
will have riches big TV game of the week.

Speaker 7 (42:54):
It's richest big TV game of the week.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Well, well, well rung to you by TCL. We meet again,
you silly Jabbronis. So every week we decide if you
do what I do, which is roll out a second
TV you got four games on one, but there's that
TV that gets full screen, the seventy five or eighty
five inch TV, the big one that gets the game. Yeah,

(43:21):
the game, because you got the other TV. Maybe break
out a couple of smaller TVs and let me keep
an eye on this one. I'll keep it eye on
this one.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
But what gets the volume?

Speaker 1 (43:28):
What gets the big screen? That's what we decide every
Friday for you. Now, sometimes there's not much to really
choose from, Like I think the early when you have
family over rich, like your least important family member gets
like the cot or the couch, but.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Your parents would be we have an air mattress you
can put in the garage.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Yeah. Yeah, the person who like at least gets the
air mattress and you give him like a paper towel
to cover themselves.

Speaker 5 (43:52):
I'm not sleeping up in the loft that's where Fuller sleeps.
I'm not gonna sleep on the heighth of bed with Fuller.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
What's the bed?

Speaker 1 (43:57):
And like your parents or little jerk, you give them
the good accommodations. Like if you have a set of
eight plates but you have nine people over, who gets
to like the weird extra plate?

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Yeah that guy?

Speaker 1 (44:08):
So the best game gets the big TV. That's what
we're trying to say here the TCM. Let's zip through
the early games because there's a lot of games with
let's be honest, very little significance right now because of
you know, one of the teams may stink or it's
a lopsided like Bengals are hosting the Jets.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
I mean Bengals are six and a half point favorites,
the Jets are zero to seven.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Unless you are a massochist and you want to just
see how bad the Jets can be, that gets a
little you get a little look. See maybe you got
a fantasy involvement in that game. But Jets Bengals no
Bears Ravens is interesting because if you've got Lamar back
in action, that team is going to try to see
if they could pull off some magical happenings where one

(44:48):
in five could have one in five team somehow hold
on turning around starting.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
I know he's on the field, but he's definitely starting questionable.

Speaker 6 (44:56):
He practiced fully today, so it's not a sure deal,
but the signs are are pointing towards the possible.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Let me tune it in definitely to see what's doing
there with that.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
I would imagine dB, the sentiment in Vegas is leaning
that way because it's seven and a half, which means
it's it's only seven and a half because there's the
assumption that they're gonna.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
Try to give it a correct right.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
Yes, absolutely, And the Bears are a good team, so
I think that should be interesting because a four and
two Bears team that's really trying to keep up in
that division. I'm gonna I may change my mind here,
And I know, bro, And what about your forty nine ers?
Texans aren't the Texans favorite in that game?

Speaker 10 (45:29):
How?

Speaker 1 (45:29):
And why the Texans are two and a half point favorites?
And I think because it's at home. dB said at
best the other day. If you break down forty nine
Ers offense, forty nine Ers defense, Texans offense, Texans defense.
Of those four, what is the strongest, And you might
say the Texans defense against the guy like Mac Jones
that doesn't have the mobility of a Brock Purty where
they may just close that pocket on Mac Jones quicker.

Speaker 2 (45:49):
I feel like, what is Vegas know the defense?

Speaker 1 (45:52):
There's a part in me that just being a Homer
is like, yeah, I might want to hit the money
line hard on the Niners. It's your big TV game
the week, and I know you're leaning forty NINEHS. Anyway,
I mean, I'm gonna lead Niners just because I'm a
Niners fan, but ample intrigue, rich and I'm sorry interrupt,
but seriously, the intrigue of how are the Texans favored? Yeah,
and thinking that the forty nine Ers should win this game.

(46:16):
I think there's a few games that asks me want
to tune in. There's a few games to keep your
eye on that I like, like, for instance, Giants and
these young dudes that are just really bringing the fun
against the Eagles in Philadelphia, and we know the New
York Philadelphia rivalries in battle, So that's a game to
keep an eye on early on. So that doesn't get
the big one, but I'll definitely be watching that one.
I'll definitely be watching Niners Texans because I'm a Niners guy.

(46:38):
I'll definitely be keeping my eye on whether or not
the Bills could finally get it together against the Panthers,
who have won three in a row.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
Right They're looking good.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
But I think the big TV game of the week
and it doesn't go to the Browns Patriots, I really
do think the return of Lamar Jackson against Caleb Williams objectively,
Cavino should be your big TV game of the week.
I'm surprised. For me, I'll probably have the Niners on.
But if I'm being real, keep it it real. I
think the game everyone should be watching is whether or
not the Bears could go on the road four and

(47:08):
two against a desperate, yet Lamar Jackson Ravens team that really.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Needs to win. Ravens are chopped.

Speaker 7 (47:18):
In Bears.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
What are they gonna do?

Speaker 1 (47:20):
Seem fire right now? The Bears seem valid. You know
they need they need to go nine and two. The
rest of the wet end that ain't happening nine and two.
How Yeah, the Ravens might be as we already said that,
Ravens might be as good sentiment Covino. Later games, Bucks
and Saints. Way, I'm really surprised by the way that
you picked that game over Giants, Eagles or even the

(47:42):
forty nine Houston.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
I just I don't know the return of Lamar.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
We haven't really seen them, so I think it's it's
gonna be cool to see one of the most premier
electric players back in action. All right, all right, Later
games sort of stink Bucks and Saints still thanks Titans
cults Daniel Jones gonna be seven to one, which is
wild because I can't imagine the Titans winning. They're fay
fourteen and a half. I think the game to watch

(48:05):
the completely not sure their record defines who they are.
The fact that the Cowboys Danny g are.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Three to three and one. Isn't that just so perfect?
Is aren't in your mind?

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Don't you feel like the Cowboys are just good, like
average three three in one? That to me just makes
sense at the Broncos. So Cowboys Broncos gets the big
TV later in the day, but all eyes Sunday night,
your primetime game is where everyone's gonna be really pumped up.
Aaron Rodgers playing against the Packers. If he wins, he

(48:36):
beats all thirty two teams in the NFL. That alone,
you could say revenge game. You could say it's not
a revenge game. You could say the Packers are four
to one and one looking to be five to one
in one, but the Steelers have an opportunity to just
keep you know, controlling the AFC North. That's such a
fun game. And right now green Bay is favored by
two and a half in Pittsburgh. And wait, hold on,

(48:57):
if he beats his former team, the Green Bay Packers
is his old team, he's the first guy to beat
every team holeague guy. Yeah, the only guy to do that,
only guy in NFL history to be If you're about
watching it, I mean that's the late game anyway, that
gets the big TV. So they have it tcl's Big
TV Games. What is of all the games out, what

(49:17):
is one?

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Is it really? Packers stealers?

Speaker 3 (49:19):
Feel?

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Yeah, that's that's like that's a game for sure. That's
definitely a great game. All right, So enjoy it. Get
ready and enjoy and watch on your TCL. That's Rich's
big TV game of the week. And thanks again to TCL.
And now we got brainwa You've got to get you
ready for that. So if you want it, you want
to win a prize, you want to win one of
our turbo balls. Turbo you want to get your hands

Danny g.

Speaker 7 (50:28):
Do Covino and Race really share the same brain day.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
Rich Chatty, Channy Rave, something sim Joe to measure you?

Speaker 7 (50:36):
Is their crew not far behind. We're one. Welcome to Brainwave.
Try to make sense of the brain. It's easy.

Speaker 14 (50:44):
We drop fun, sports, music and entertainment questions and if
you match with enough of these bosums, you win.

Speaker 7 (50:51):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
On the count of three, reveal Brainwave ooh, one, two, three.
It pays to match our brain.

Speaker 4 (51:03):
All right, Happy Friday, Daniel Gradio. The questions in this
game are all subjective. You just need to try and
match the brain of CNR and the crew are. We're
gonna go to the studio lines right now. Get our contestant,
then I'll explain the game. Ray is in Tennessee. He
was first through all.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
Ray, What up? Ray? What do you do for a
living there in Tennessee?

Speaker 12 (51:27):
I'm a supervisor for a company conveyor Death and Company.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
And Jack nice Man, very cool?

Speaker 2 (51:33):
What did you do?

Speaker 13 (51:34):
Ray?

Speaker 4 (51:35):
Here's how the game works. I have five rounds ready
to go. Our contestant, Ray needs to win two of
them to be the CHAMPI and walk away with a CNR.
In our football, I'm going to ask a sports, music
or entertainment question and then give three debatable answers to
choose from the six of us in studio. Are going
to write down our answers on dry erase boards for
the YouTube channel and Ray, that's going to give you
time to get your answer ready on the counter. Three,

(51:55):
the caller shouts out his answer, and then we go
around the studio to reveal ours. All right, guys, test,
it must match four of us to win the round.
So got a bat six sixty seven or no matter
the callers answer, If all six of us in studio
happened to match Ray, you automatically win that round. All right,
here we go, go, everybody ready with your dry erase bords.
Let's go round one. Let's start with music this week.

(52:18):
Which of these artists had the greatest one hit wonder
song of the nineties. That's a good one, right, said
Fred with I'm Too Sexy, Girardo with Rico Suave, or
Los del Rio with my Carina. Yoh, that's a good one, man,
But they all charted around it so difficult. All right,

(52:42):
everybody's right in there.

Speaker 5 (52:43):
That's just.

Speaker 3 (52:45):
I got it. Locked in, everybody locked in, locked in?

Speaker 4 (52:51):
Okay, Ray, on the count of three, we need your answer, one, two, three, Rico,
he says, though, we're gonna start with Steve Covino.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
Well it's ten o'clock and up two hours late, but
you can't consist. And then I meet your parents out.
They're gonna love my parents. Not only Rico Swami, but
Taco Grande by Weird now one of my favorites.

Speaker 3 (53:15):
All right, Rich Davis, I couldn't believe it.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
I thought that the was definitely Mockerina, Dan, you know
what Rich figures.

Speaker 3 (53:26):
You'd say, would im?

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Sorry?

Speaker 3 (53:28):
I like mesh so, I said, right, said Fred, shirt
it's a good one.

Speaker 7 (53:33):
It's a good one.

Speaker 3 (53:34):
That is good, but not Tennessee's answer.

Speaker 8 (53:37):
All right, spotty, uh I locked in the macarena as well.
That was that was that had a choke hold on
nineteen ninety five pop culture. Well, Ray, I tell you, yeah,
mathematically is out of it.

Speaker 5 (53:48):
Yeah, I also Saidarina, he would have lost it, I said, Gerardo,
though I also said because it cut out a lane
for Spanglish nip hop songs Toronto.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Ye, that was a great question.

Speaker 3 (54:01):
Though.

Speaker 5 (54:01):
We had, like we had George W. Bush doing the
Mackarna like that was like, don't forget international.

Speaker 8 (54:06):
I am in the Guinness Book of World Records because
I was part of the largest crowd to do the
makarinat Yankee Stadium in nineteen ninety six.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
The spots by its the my Wikipedia.

Speaker 3 (54:17):
All right, let's go to round two.

Speaker 4 (54:18):
We're gonna get to sports now, all right, who had
the more epic walk off home run in the World Series?
Kirby Pucket Game six, nineteen ninety one, David Freeze Game six,
twenty eleven, or Freddie Freeman Game one, twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (54:36):
Everybody's right down there.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
Yeah, that's a tough one, all right, So who had
the more epic.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
More epic walk off home run in the World Series?

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Kirby Pucket David Freeze.

Speaker 4 (54:47):
Where Freddy A lot of websites list them as one,
two three. I want to see what you think. All right, Ray,
I think we're all locked in on the count of three.
We need your answer. One two three. Freddy Freeman, Freddie Freeman.
He says, all right, we're gonna go in reverse order
this time.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
Samuel L. Johnson Freddy Freeman. One.

Speaker 4 (55:13):
You know I'm not gonna be a homer here. I'll
forever remember him spiking his helmet through his legs before
he gets to home plate freeze. Oh wow, yep. All
right to Spotty, I actually went with Freddy as well.
I feel like a capture.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
It was like a double doozy because it's sort of encapsulated.

Speaker 13 (55:31):
Kirby as well.

Speaker 4 (55:32):
All right to dan Byer, I said, Kirby Pucket, we'll
see you tomorrow night. The godfather, the godfather of the
walk off.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
All right, rich Now, if you ask me what call,
I would might have said, we will see you tomorrow night,
or when his son Joe Buck said, I will we
will see you tomorrow night. But I think last year
Freddie Baby, prisoner of the moment or not, but the whole,
the whole vibe and.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
Freddie Mee Gibbey, I love La kicks in.

Speaker 5 (55:59):
So yeah, so Covino's answer will decide whether he gets
the point or not. Right, Yeah, because we have three,
we need four out of six. It haunts me till
this day. And I'm pretty sure it was give me
meet Freddy. I think that's what he says. Did I say, Freddie,
give me me Freddy? And I say that only because
it made me want to vomit? Oh, because it was.
It was such a big moment off of Nest Cortez

(56:22):
Freddy Freeman. But it gets you the win too, man.

Speaker 4 (56:27):
All right, Ray, you're halfway to a CNR turbo football.
Let's go to round three. Entertainment. Okay, which of these
movies would draw the largest US box office numbers if
it hit all theaters for a month long retro showing?

Speaker 2 (56:41):
Oh that's a retro showing for a month.

Speaker 4 (56:43):
Okay, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Oh, Airplane or Major League?

Speaker 12 (56:50):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (56:52):
I got it. They're popcorn ratings all around the same,
by the way.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
Oh really, Okay, got it.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
I'm locked in, everybody, Yeah, I'm locked in. I'm locked in.

Speaker 4 (57:05):
Okay, and we're gonna start with Coveno on this one.
Right after we get Ray's answer on the count of three, one, two, three, Sorry,
major League, he said, Okay.

Speaker 1 (57:19):
Coveno say Ferris, he's a righteous dude. One strike all right, Rich, Sorry,
I wait, I think I got I wrote Walker Bueller.

Speaker 9 (57:29):
Is that.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
Ferris Bueller Major League is my favorite? But I think
this would do better mass appeal.

Speaker 5 (57:36):
Okay, but remember we're two for two, so even if
he right, yeah, we all have the same answer.

Speaker 3 (57:42):
He gets the point. Yeah, right, true, dB.

Speaker 6 (57:45):
So I never forget you guys did a movie thing
one time, and I'm not a movie guy. Hey, I
drafted Ferris Bueller, and you guys ridiculed me. You're awful.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
I remember that that was your favorite movie.

Speaker 6 (57:57):
Yes, So then I thought to myself, you know what,
we're trying to give away a prize here. So while
I would probably say Ferris Bueller, what's our contestant going
to think?

Speaker 3 (58:07):
I said major League?

Speaker 2 (58:11):
Major League?

Speaker 8 (58:12):
You can't win now, yay, let's see what you had
for me, And I went with Bueler as well. I
also wear Blerler, the one guy who champions the movie
I was, but I matched our contestants.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
No, he's got to match you though. Yeah, I think
next time, just go with what you. You I respect
that though he was trying to set you up for
a win. There, Ray, All right, let's go to the
next category. We'll go back to sports. Which of these
athletes would create the biggest buzz if interviewed by CNR
on the air, Lebron James, Travis Kelcey or Tiger Woods.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Come on, wow, that's a good one.

Speaker 4 (59:02):
All right, everybody locked, locked in, Okay, locked, Ray on
the count of three, needs your answer, one, two, three,
he says, Kelsey Kelsey, All right, okay, go in reverse
order this time.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Iowa, Sam, I said, Tiger Woods, what.

Speaker 10 (59:22):
What?

Speaker 1 (59:23):
What?

Speaker 3 (59:23):
Look at what?

Speaker 4 (59:24):
The other guys are kind of saturated, oversaturating. So I
also said Tiger Woods.

Speaker 3 (59:29):
Do I think that? Yeah, because we hear the other
guys all the time in the media.

Speaker 8 (59:33):
Okay, all right, Spotty, I went with number six, I
mean eighty seven. Travis Kelcey. Right, come on, he's got
to know your audience, dB, dB.

Speaker 6 (59:44):
We know you're a big golf guy. I am, and
that's why I went Travis Kelcey. Tiger wouldn't say anything.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
Travis Kelcey. We've interviewed him before. We do it again.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
Yeah, I yes, if you if you talk about generating
buzz not only with football fans but the swifties every
time we post the video and it's Travis Kelsey related
because of the Yeah, it gets more traction in.

Speaker 7 (01:00:11):
Anything I know.

Speaker 4 (01:00:12):
But he's on his own podcast though, and I feel
like that's where he breaks his own news.

Speaker 5 (01:00:17):
So you win, right, So me and Danny said Tiger,
everyone else said Travis Kelsey, and Ray said Travis Kelsey.

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
He's a winner, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Ray.

Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
Congratulations, We're going to add you to our mailing list
for a CEE and on her football when the shipment
comes in.

Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
And thank you for playing the game today.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Thanks Bud, Hey, thank you man. Have a good weekend, Rag,
Danny G. They're all great questions with great answers. That's
what makes it difficult to see if we're all on
the same brainway. Takeaway is that Dann Bayer should have
stuck by his gut with Farres Bueler And who knew
that you, Danny G. If you Dona loved s Girardo

(01:00:53):
ricove it. I mean, Marcarene is like the corniest song
that ever was, but he is, but it was so big.
So what does the Rico swab in a wedding.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
I'm a big Rico swambe guy.

Speaker 6 (01:01:05):
I know, well, let's go to dB suave Rico. What
threw me off is I should have said Freeman on
the last question. I go, I can't think for me.
I gotta think for our contestants. So that's why I
went the other way. And we matched the last two,
by the way, and I'm glad that he went home
with the prize. All Right, we'll see who comes home
with the prize of a World Series title. Dodgers and

(01:01:26):
Blue Jays start their Best A Seven Fall Classic tonight
in Toronto. Coverage getting underway at the top of the
hour on Fox. It's Blake's now against trey Ya Savage
Boba Schett batting forth and playing second base for Toronto.
He's been out since early September because of a PCL
strain in his left knee, but he will play tonight
for the Jays. The NFL find the New York Giants

(01:01:46):
two hundred thousand dollars for violating the league's concussion protocol
in their Week six matchup with the Eagles. I love
the background those, Yeah, if someone to shut off their mic,
you know, like I don't know what the deal is?

Speaker 7 (01:02:00):
What's little dew?

Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
What do yeah? dB? After your update? If are you,
I'd go ahead. We're just arguing about Danny's question the spotlight.

Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
Michael, would it be okay if I just screamed six
to seven behind them while you did the update?

Speaker 7 (01:02:12):
Six savvy six say except.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Du bar six edit? And now it's time we do
this every Friday. It's weekend, hob not go live in
for the weekend.

Speaker 14 (01:02:29):
You're winning bets for talking points if you get stuck socializing.

Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
You ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
You ever dance with the devil in the pale line?

Speaker 7 (01:02:36):
Friday brings us weekend, hob Nob.

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
All right, I'll kick it off and I'll make it snappy.
Of course, you got lots of great baseball Game one,
you got your NFL. But there's a fight this weekend.
Don't let it go into the radar. I know you
got Halloween parties and trips to Spirit Halloween. But UFC
three twenty one tom aspinall and gone.

Speaker 3 (01:02:59):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
And there's a comin event women's strawweight fight Genderoba and
Dern look out for that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
So UFC three twenty one probably check that out.

Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
I've never heard of that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Straw strawweight women's strawweight. You to lose a thing in
the Netflix.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Yeah, you got the Perfect Neighbor.

Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
I brought it up a few times. It was number
one throughout the week for a reason. It's heart wrenching.
It's all shot in police footage, police camp, and it's
about this neighborhood dilemma. It's really the worst neighbor ever.
And you can see the story unfold, the perfect neighbor,
big big barf. Like I said, heartbreaking on Netflix. And

(01:03:40):
by the way, stroweight one oh six to one fifteen,
like we'll tell you like you know, tiny women and
is there a dude strawweight division?

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
I think that's a women's fight. It's the event strawweight.

Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
And of course got to promote what I think is
one of the best shows as far as podcast that
you could watch Over Promised with Cavino and rich Are
Podcast Episode one fourteen debut yesterday because it's back to
the Future week. We went into the future and we
predicted who we think the current goats are going to be.
Who the goats of the future are the faces of

(01:04:12):
all sports. So we talked that Halloween Candy and richest
picks on over promised right on our YouTube page, Covino
and rich FSR.

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Well, you know what, you and I have no overlap,
so I got plenty of mention to you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
Season two of Nobody Wants This, I know Spot was
probably gonna mention that spot you like season one right
with Christa balle Adam Brody. It's heart heart that you
could watch with the wifey of the girlfriend where heay
by yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
It's I thought it was really good and it's filmed
in our neighborhood.

Speaker 14 (01:04:38):
Can we know?

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
So if you look around like all the places they
go or right near where you would spot live in
Sherman UOPs, Nobody Wants This? Season two, Love is Blind.
If you have not watched the wedding episode, Danny, you're right,
it's cringey and weird and I don't want to give
anything away, but I can't imagine why you dress up
and do all that just to be.

Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
Like, no, it is a beautiful train wreck. Let's say that.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
Yeah, I enjoyed it. This would interest you. Coumido.

Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
Mob Wore Philadelphia Versus the Mafia, a docuseries about the
Mob and Philly, just got released on Netflix is Chruncy
Phillips and this document is not one Chad Powers on Hulu.

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
I've been talking about that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
If you're watching something with the kids, you know there's
been thirty six Simpson's Treehouse of Horrors, thirty six of them,
so you could go backtrack those or is it cake
the Halloween edition. My kids get such a kick out
of that stupid show and a documentary I started last night.
I'm gonna watch the rest of night. So dozed off,
not because it was boring, I was just tired. Who

(01:05:36):
killed the Montreal expos Yeah? No, Ito's good, dude, it
was really good the beginning. I watched and Hey, Naked
Gun if you missed it in the theater, that's available

his first World Series appearance as a coach. So it's
going to be exciting. We'll be talking about it come Monday.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
