Chiefs need a hard reset. I actually, as sad as
the sounds, I think the Mahomes injury actually makes it
even easier, which I think is a pretty obvious stance.

There's no real incentive to win. I know. Mahomes says
he's gonna be back week one. He's clearly not gonna
be back week one. And if he's back week eight

people thought it was going to be really difficult for

injury to Patrick Mahomes. But I don't blame him. I
think he should have played this year. I think it
was the right opportunity to do so, and in a

it wasn't in a playoff atmosphere and you had a
third string quarterback. But it also allowed Travis Kelce to

have his nights, his moment, Yeah, yeah, his moment where
he could be sent off on Christmas. There's no need
for him to play against the Raiders in Week eighteen.
Loan reason to go to to Las Vegas. That would
be the way to go out. And I think if
we find out that he's not going to play in

So you would have thirteen seasons, not all of eighty
two games because you had the COVID year and then
the shortened season. But ultimately Davis would have missed for
one reason or another two hundred and seventy five games four.

He would have been much closer. Yeah, you would have
been really in the neighborhood. You would have been a
block away from that gas station. That's how close you were.

Can we all agree on the fact that we definitely
know that a gallon of Vermont maple syrup is more
than two ninety nine, know that it's gonna be like
four hundred dollars in the gallon.

who's really warmed up I think to his role of
being Big Dom and has done a great job with it.
This other guy from the Chiefs is just yelling at
cameraman and being a jerk. But in a moment last
night of seeing Travis Kelcey leave the field, I think
(34:08):
a lot of us felt going into that game it
was gonna be the last time we would see him
play at Arrowhead Stadium, And afterwards I just get the
sense that, yeah, it was the last time.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
As somebody who has felt like for a while, the
Chiefs need a hard reset. I actually, as sad as
the sounds, I think the Mahomes injury actually makes it
even easier, which I think is a pretty obvious stance.
You know, is what are you coming back for to?
I mean, we've seen the last couple of games without Mahomes.
(34:39):
There's no real incentive to win. I know. Mahomes says
he's gonna be back week one. He's clearly not gonna
be back week one. And if he's back week eight
and you're two and five, do you you know, there's
just not a lot of reason for him. It's gonna
be bad next year if he comes back. I actually
give him credit because it's clearly for a love of
the game thing. It feels like the logical time to see.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
I don't think there's going to be any regret on
his part. I know he wanted to change the narrative
from what happened in the super Bowl, but also if
you're there, and I thought, I think a lot of
people thought it was going to be really difficult for
the Chiefs this year because the loser of the Super Bowl.
I believe the hangover is a real thing. So it
was going to be difficult just as it is, let
(35:22):
alone having now all the injuries and then the ultimate
injury to Patrick Mahomes. But I don't blame him. I
think he should have played this year. I think it
was the right opportunity to do so, and in a
weird way, Aaron the Mahomes injury. Now, unfortunately for Chiefs fans,
it wasn't in a playoff atmosphere and you had a
third string quarterback. But it also allowed Travis Kelce to
(35:43):
have his nights, his moment, Yeah, yeah, his moment where
he could be sent off on Christmas. There's no need
for him to play against the Raiders in Week eighteen.
Loan reason to go to to Las Vegas. That would
be the way to go out. And I think if
we find out that he's not going to play in
that game, then we will know that, yeah, this is it.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Yeah, it's a lot different than an AFC divisional game
where you can't just be pulled.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
So yeah, yeah, absolutely so. But a story we definitely
will be covering in the NFL offseason. He is erin Torres.
