Speaker 5 (00:26):
Byeay rightay bye right.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Even though it may not feel like it, it isn't
just Moncey belagno sen myself. Jason Stewart is here, our
executive producer. Hello, everybody, Hello, Maybe we can have another
Keith Jackson off between you and Isaac Loyro from The
Rose Boil Yesterday, Iowa Sam is here? Whoa Nelly Hello,
Iowa Sam, Isaac Lohengross my Friday drop. There is Friday.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Hey, looking forward to having that Keith Jackson off contest.
Unfortunately we did get a cease and desist letter from
the Jackson estate. Jason, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Sam Farmer of the La Time spent the day with
the Keith Jackson family. It's part of his piece of
the La Times and the only thing I could think
of is the dueling Keith Jackson impersonations impressions that we
have here at Fox Sports Radio and Jason Stewart and
Isaac Lohnkron get together and college football is the topic,
and it is the topic. And this show is sponsored
(01:25):
by a DraftKings sportsbook and official sports betting partner of
the NFL and NBA. Right now, use the Promo code

that's Promo Code CR Show at DraftKings. The crown is yours.
Now we know Chris Fowler and Kirk Herb Street called
the Rose Bowl yesterday before we get into Indiana's great
win and the Ole miss or should I call him
(01:46):
old make Huh? How about that? That's a little twist
on the old words.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
They ain't missing nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
University of Mississippi's win against Georgia? Are you drinking the
water to get your Keith Jackson impression? Ready?
Speaker 6 (02:00):
Stewart, I'm ready to go, But I will say this,
I'm not an what's it is? An impressionist impersonator?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I don't know if yeah, I didn't know which one
to go with. Either to me goes.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
I'm not like j Moore is a world class impressionist.
I'm not. But the few impressions I do do I
can only do like five words. In other words, if
you want to have a conversation with me as Keith Jackson,
I would fail miserably. But I do like I do.
I think I do a little bit correctly. I have
another one, John Travolta. This is my John Travolta impression.
(02:32):
I don't know it's like, but if you asked me
to go beyond that, if you asked me to go
beyond that, I couldn't do that. Like my Pat Summer
al is like this, Isaac hand off the smith for
three maybe four, and that's it. I can't do any
more Pat summerl Uh?
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Do you have any of those in your repertoire Isaac
loncorn A, Travolta, a Summer all? Is it just Keith
Jackson and Ben Holland bring me up such a random
one that, you know.
Speaker 7 (03:10):
What, I have a pretty wide range.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I've got to say, you know who, since you guys
are sitting in for Cavino and Rich Coveno is a
real He's really really good obviously Mahomes. But there's a
couple of under the radars where he's he does a
great Keanu Reeves, by the way, he's spectacular buyer, Monsei,
do you have.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
Any No, not at all?
Speaker 6 (03:32):
Wait do you do a killer Mike Linguard. I just
heard you do it yesterday.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
It's one pm on a Friday. What am I still
doing here?
Speaker 5 (03:42):
Ah? That's pretty good, that's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
I'm out of here. Uh.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Why is he going to the bank?
Speaker 4 (03:50):
That was you would always go to the bank. All right,
I'll be back in minutes. He's going to the bank.
He's got four hours before they close, So those are
the old I don't think he goes to the bank anymore.
I don't know people who really go to the bank anymore.
They're all closing down right.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
I hate going to the bank.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
All right, let's uh quickly before we move on to
Indiana and Ole, Miss. Can I get a Keith Jackson
off from yesterday's game, Isaac, could you like do anything
not tendio?
Speaker 8 (04:15):
When you get those when you get those big horses
from Alabama and you get those hoosiers from Indiana rumbling
into town, wore a whole lot of things.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Can go on the twenty twenty six Keith Jackson off
is well underway.
Speaker 8 (04:27):
Not supposed to rain on New Year's Day, but but
a new Year's day in Pasadena and the rain is
still better than a New Year's day everywhere everywhere else.
Whoa now that I gotta statue outside the stadium?
Speaker 4 (04:37):
He does? He does? Jason, would you like to counter
that Keith Jackson impression for your portion? This was the
extent on Mike Keith Jackson.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
Ready, whoa nellye grenn daddy of them all?
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Here? It is all right, job well done every single time.
This is the problem when you get me with these
two is I have to hear there Keith Jackson impressions
and and again it's it's woe Nelly and Jason, what's
his own Keith Jackson spin on it Nelly, old Nelly.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
And I let's agree to disagree. I think, he says,
old Nelly.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Okay, yeah, let's ask Isaac low and Cross.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
It's well, here's the thing, it is woe Nelly. But
the late great Keith Jackson insisted, although he appreciated the impression,
that he never ever ever said woe Nelly ever, and
then it became a thing, and then he wound up
doing it in commercials later in his career.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Oh interesting. Yeah. The more you know, all right, the
more we know about college football, the less I feel
I actually know about it. My final four was Oregon, Alabama,
Ohio State in Georgia, and we're one for four. Thank goodness.
I didn't pick the first round games because I probably
would have got three out of those wrong as well.
(06:04):
Maybe I would have picked Tulane to knock off the
ole Miss Rebels. Nothing stopping ole Miss right now, not
even Lane Kiffin, who some wondered if you would stop
some of his assistants from continuing to coach in the
Fiesta Bowl against Miami coming up next week. Right now,
it sure seems that Ole Miss will continue to roll,
(06:24):
and likely will continue to roll with the coaching staff
that coached last night in the Sugar Bowl.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Good.
Speaker 9 (06:29):
I can't believe that's that's even a discussion, Dan, of
whether these assistants that are gonna eventually follow Lane Kiffin
to LSU, who he already allowed to go and coach
ole Miss finish out the season. How it's even a
discussion of whether they can still coach again. I can't
believe that that's even a story. How was it not yes,
go until you're.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Done, because I think they.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Thought that it was going to be out one and night.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
That it was going to be done.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
Last night, done last night.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
With Lane Kiffin leaving that this isn't a problem that's
gonna go to mid January, that when the transfer portal
opens up today, that those LSU coaches would then be
full time LSU coaches and I don't have to worry
about anything, as El said, Ole miss Well, it just goes.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
To show that Lane Kevin doesn't know anything.
Speaker 9 (07:15):
But even if that's true, to even have a story
come out that now it's being discussed at that point
when they had won, it should have been like the
text like all right, see you guys when you're done,
you know what I mean? Like as simple as that,
it didn't need to become a story, because again Lane
kiffn like, what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (07:30):
What are you doing? You're hanging out with what's your face?
What's the LSU coaches name?
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Kimki, Kim Bulky.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
You ain't out with Kim Molgy walking in hand in hand?
Speaker 4 (07:39):
I thought it was an avyvy with me like who
let's hold hands?
Speaker 9 (07:47):
I don't, I don't know, but this guy is over
here hoping ole Miss is going to fail because of
his own ego, because he wants to be right and
because he can't just let people have their fun without him.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
He wants to be often running at LSU. And this
is what else Lane Kiffin knows. That things don't go
well in year one, there are gonna be people that
are going to turn on him, saying, like, we did
all of this, We spent all of this money and
did all of this stuff just to let ole Miss
have their run, and now it's hurting us, and now
you're not winning football games, or you're not getting the
(08:23):
players that you would have wanted, or honestly, let's be real,
for any of the ole Miss players that want to
stay in Oxford to not go to Baton Rouge, that
maybe they would have left if Lane kiffen, if ole
Miss wouldn't have made the playoffs, or we're knocked out
in the first round by Tulana, we're knocked out last
night by Georgia. Maybe there are players that said, yeah,
I'm on my way to LSU, and now they're going
(08:43):
to be at ole Miss, and they're gonna be at
ole Miss longer. And you know, I give a credit
to to our colleague, our former colleague. Now, Doug Gottlieb
was by the way, Green Bay gonna win yesterday on
New Year's Day, So congratulations to Doug in that win.
But he has talked about the ability to go back
to your school and celebrate your championships and your teams,
(09:05):
and that by jumping in the transfer portal, you're gonna
come back and not have a school. So if you're
an ole Miss player and you go on this run
that ten years and twenty years down the line when
you're remembered, if you jump ship and leave for LSU,
you're probably not going to be welcomed back as much
as the other members of this team. And if you
win a national championship. Now for ole Miss or playing
a national championship game, they're an underdog against Miami, But
(09:29):
who doesn't think that ole Miss has a chance in
that contest. You're not going to have that if you
jump ship to LSU, and the further you go, the
more it keeps you in Oxford. So that's why I
think Lane Kiffin is probably kind of panicking in a
little You wanted to appear on college game Day, wanted
to be at the Sugar Bowl. Didn't happen with the
game day thing, didn't happen with him going to the
Sugar Bowl. Instead, he's holding hands with Kim Maulky prior
(09:51):
to the women's basketball game. It's all a weird situation,
but I think that Lane Kiffin is feeling the heat
because of what could go wrong for LSU in your
one and if this run continues for ole Miss.
Speaker 9 (10:02):
Lane Kiffin, I think likes to feel the heat. He
just does too many things where there's no way you
know what you're doing. You'd like to stir the pot.
That's what the vibe get from Lane Kiffin. But this
heat that he is feeling is not the heat that
he thought he was gonna fall. And so that's the
best part of all of this. Obviously, Ole Miss, even
before Lane Kiffin decided to leave, Ole Miss was trying
to win a championship. All these schools are right, but
(10:24):
now him doing this you said it in the you
know earlier on the show, that's almost like they have
a chip on their shoulder. Yeah, they're trying to spoil
your homecoming because of what you did. And they're not
just spoiling your homecoming, they can really spoil just LSU
and what they see in their future, like you just said, because.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
They thought we got this guy.
Speaker 9 (10:42):
And now if you don't turn things around in one season,
how are you gonna feel? Because we did say Kurt
Signety turned things around pretty quickly. Absolutely, So this is
adding to the pressure of LSU.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
And I think that the head start that Lane Kiffn
had were some of these players from ole Miss because
you could bring them to LA and there's LSU does
give you an ability to cast a wide range across
the recruiting trail, and the nil money that you can
bring in will also be a big deal. But you
don't want to start from You don't want to start
two steps behind. In the more weeks that go on,
(11:16):
that's going to be the case. And you're also heck
if you're Old Miss too as well. Not that you
want closure to this, but you don't want to see
some of your assistants leaving to do transfer portal stuff.
So that's the other side of it that really isn't
spoken about is for as great as things have been
at Ole Miss, they probably haven't been operating on full capacity.
The coaches have done a great job, and maybe the
(11:36):
familiarity of Georgia and how they matched up with them
earlier this year helped. I'm curious to see how that's
going to match up against Miami. I don't know if
Miami will be more of a physical situation for them
to have to deal with, but ole Miss is doing
this at a disadvantage as well. Georgia had much more
of an advantage going into the Sugar Bowl without the
(11:57):
distraction surrounding their coaching staff than what ole Miss had
to deal with.
Speaker 9 (12:01):
Absolutely, I was surprised when you said that Miami was
favored in the game.
Speaker 5 (12:04):
I did not.
Speaker 9 (12:04):
I had not looked at the line and so checking
it out right now, what I'm looking at says Miami
by three and a half, And I'm like, what have
you seen your I know Miami has a good defense.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
They had, right, they had a pick Sick had a sick.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yes, I'm pretty sure Carson.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Sorry, yeah, I wasn't trying to do that, but I
was just like, was it.
Speaker 9 (12:23):
My point here was like, didn't Carson Beck throw for
like one hundred and thirty yards in a touchdown in
that game?
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Like it was?
Speaker 3 (12:28):
There was nothing else.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
It was very modest and not that you can't win
like that.
Speaker 9 (12:31):
But you see what Old Miss is doing with Trinidad Chambliss,
and if he gets on a heater, I understand that
maybe you think you're not going to allow them to
score what thirty eight points? Thirty nine points, But that
that seems like now you are underestimating Ole Miss.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
What do you think is more America's team Ole Miss
or Indiana?
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Oh that's tough.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
That's a really yeah, that's tough. Uh, because I think they're.
Speaker 9 (12:57):
Both as Jason and I have been talking about, you know, ak,
even in the world of a college football, they both
have storylines that intrigue me.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
So I I I am rooting. I don't know, I
don't know. I think Indiana wins.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
If your national championship game, which was Indiana and Indiana,
so then you're probably gonna side with the Signettes the fighting.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
Probably, but it's so close. It's like I am still like,
if all Miss wins this.
Speaker 9 (13:25):
It would be so awesome for different reasons than if
Indiana wins.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
That's exactly it. It's the different reasons, right, because I
think I think most of the people in the Indiana
thing is the new blood people. You know, there's always
that faction of people who just want new blood. I
think that's mostly the Indiana fans. The old miss thing
is screwling Kiff. You know, it's totally different, much more toxic.
Reason to pull for all this.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
Yeah, I'll tell you what. There's something with Signetti that
is that is really interesting. So much was made about
his Google me Yeah, and what he said on at
an Indiana home game about taking over in Ohio State
and Purdue and you know other big matchups that Indiana
would play. But did you see the clip with Pat
(14:11):
McAfee before they're about to run out onto the field.
Have you seen this? I just want if you can
look it up. So Indiana's about to run out of
the tunnel at the Rose Bowl and Signetti and McAfee
and his guys are doing the broadcast from underneath the goalpost.
Have you seen this? Iowa, Sam, did you see this? No,
Signetti turns to Pat McAfee or looks his way and
(14:33):
just gives him a finger gun salute. That is what
you would do if you were sixty five years old,
to just any young whipper snapper. And it to me,
it was done in so much confidence. And do you
see what I'm talking about yeah, like how in the world,
(14:54):
like I can't root for Indiana, but two yeah, and
it's not like he's done it would do it like
in a cool way, like you think like Lane Kiffinwood, Yeah,
it's totally Grandpa and McAfee like turns is probably like, oh, Alabama,
like it's not gonna be your day if Signetti's giving
Pat McAfee a finger gun. And so while he came
(15:16):
off so brash and cocky and confident, he turned the
message and he's done such a great job and that's
probably really who he is. But he said he had
to do that, he had to get people to believe.
And then you see a clip like that, it's like
and you see the Fernando Mendoza speech, and I get it.
I think that I think Indiana is America's team, So
(15:39):
I think to Jason's points, it is correct. So I
would also go with you guys and saying that it
is Indiana that is more of America's team, even though
they've got the number one next to their name and
in the highest seed and the only unbeaten left in
college football, which is crazy.
Speaker 9 (15:57):
And I feel like they've been getting fans since maybe
the start of the season right with like whether it's
because you like Fernando Mendoza or you like her signetti.
But they have been like picking up fans throughout the
whole season with ole Miss.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
As Jason pointed out, it's.
Speaker 9 (16:11):
More of like a we don't like Lane Kiffen, thus
we're jumping on your bandwagon.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Which listen, I'm on that bandwagon.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
Without Lane Kiffin leaving. Everybody is on the Indiana bandwagon
unless your arrival of Indiana. But Ole Miss will take
some of that. And if Miami wins, for as many
of the people that cheered for Miami against Ohio State,
it may be just the opposite because then Miami will
go back to be being the villain, of being the
you and of being the you know, the team that
(16:38):
bullies other teams like that will change. That will be
the different narrative. Oregon's in a heck of a spot,
I'm telling you in this the semi final game because Oregon.
Oregon has two things going for them. Number One, they
lost to Orgon to Indiana earlier this year in Oregon,
so you have a revenge factor. But there's also a
bit of revenge factor with Oregon with the way that
(16:59):
they lost last jeered to Ohio State, and so I
bet you they're saying to themselves, well, remember what Ohio
State did to us, we have to do that to Indiana.
So like Oregon's going to be the school really of
these four that I don't think anybody's talking about. But
I'm curious to see how that plays out. But again,
the story, the story is lin Kiffin. The story is
all missed, but the the overarching story is Indiana. And again,
(17:21):
they're the best team in college football according to the
seating and their record, and they just routed Alabama. But
if you put their name up against any other team,
like you're thinking, if they they were to play Ohio
State again after already beating them, they're the underdogs the end, right, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
And naturally everyone would pick Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Yes, doesn't mean they're gonna win, but that's like the
sense that you would you would get naturally they play
the role so well, yeah, they play the role really well.
Speaker 10 (17:48):
Iowa Sam and they're they're the losing his team in
college football history, right, They've lost those games like that,
just going from zero to hero.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
There's just something so endearing about me.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Let me ask you this is a good one for Iowa.
Sam more more intriguing of any emergence Indiana or Boise State.
Speaker 10 (18:10):
I think Indiana because it was so fast, like you know,
it was just to go from like Bowl game every
year and here and there, you know under Tom Allen,
and then like Boise State was going, you know, ten
eleven wins, twelve wins under what Daniel and they.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Emerge if they emerge as as that team that then
finally gets the chance against the big boys, and then
they upset Oklahoma. Like that was such like such a
rise that so many people and it made a name
for Boise State. The only drawback, and I think Sam's
point is is very well put is how bad Indiana was.
(18:48):
But the only drawback is is they do come from
the Big ten.
Speaker 10 (18:50):
But they've been playing with Yeah, they've been playing with
the big boys for so long. Yeah, and they've not
done anything until now. And so it's like they're just
they were just this idle that all of a sudden
they're a power and because of their coach.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Nobody looks at them as as a Big ten team.
And by meaning you're not come to mind when you
think no, no, no, they don't and I think that
if you were a Big Ten team, it's tough to
think of a Cinderella. The Cinderellas were Vanderbilt in the
SEC of Northwestern and the Big Ten. So like when
Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl thirty years ago, like
that was something that kind of took over, like Indiana has,
(19:22):
but they weren't your typical Big Ten team, and here
they were running through the Big Ten. I think it's
part of the reason why Vanderbilt was such a story
this year, because they're not your typical SEC team. Then
you have Diego Pavia and all the hype with Vanderbilt. Now,
granted they couldn't beat the mighty Iowa Hawkeyes in the
Relyaquest Bowl, but still like there's there, you know, their
(19:43):
their comeback story. Like I always felt like Northwestern and
Vanderbilt when I was growing up, before Northwestern made it
to a Rose Bowl, that those were the you know,
the the halves and the have knots in those conferences.
Speaker 10 (19:54):
I think, and this team goes to bowl games regularly,
but I think the only other sleeping Giant would be
Minnesota because the they haven't I don't think they've been to.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
A Rose Bulls. Since they're sixty, they're not a giant.
They're sleeping there. They're sleeping well.
Speaker 10 (20:04):
I mean just like I mean any team like that is,
if you're just exists in the Big Ten, you can
become as you are, you can be you are sleeping giant.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Like, Yeah, Indiana ruins it for Minnesota. They ruin it
for Wisconsin, they ruin it for They ruin it for Purdue,
although Purdue had their time with Drew Brees and Kyle Orton.
They ruin it for a lot of schools who are
wondering why aren't we at this point. I don't think
it ruins it for Iowa, but I'm sure there are
a couple of Hawkeye fans that are like, wait a second,
(20:35):
what well you listen you?
Speaker 10 (20:37):
I always had like a winning record for the last
forty seven years, and they they've won twelve. They went
twelve and oho undefeated regular season ten years ago. But
to get this far, I'm sure a lot of Iowa
fans are like, what what is Kirk Farren's missing here?
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah? Yeah, And honestly, I think it's only fair like
it's and it's that's that's legit. She's Watzi Belaanios. I'm
Dan Byer. We got Indiana Fever.
Speaker 2 (21:02):

Speaker 4 (21:12):
We're on to the Newlywed Game, where our couple today
is in twenty twenty six for the first time, Iowa
Sam and Monzi Milanios. Who Let's see how well Iowa
Sam knows about Moncey. Now again, when we get the
Newlywed Game going, we have to put out the John
Ramos disclaimer. Hold on, don't just let me finish this
(21:36):
then you can you can correct me.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
I know you're good.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
These two aren't in love, Okay, there is no relationship.
They are talking about married, they are not engaged. That's
this is This dates back to when John Ramos and
Monzi played this game, and we had to make sure
that Suzanne knew that John and Moncey were not an item. Manzi,
(21:59):
we gave you ten questions before the.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
Show that I'm guessing what he's saying, right.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Jason Stewart's our executive producer.
Speaker 6 (22:10):
Yeah, this is a Moncey guessing what she.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
Thinks Sam will see there, we got yes.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
The very nature of the newly what game as it
was with who's the what was the name of the
host of the original new one?
Speaker 4 (22:20):
That is, by the way this is that is not
the case. You were supposed to answer what you were
going to answer? Yes, because then Sam was supposed to.
In fact, I said that to both of you in
the studio, I said, no, Moncey, you answer for what
you think.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Definitely did not hear you say yes? I did, and
I asked, and I thought it was your and.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
You didn't listen, and you guys asked and said no,
because Sam's got to guess what you think and then
you give your answer to it, will do it?
Speaker 5 (22:47):
I just will guess ask him the answer straight out.
Speaker 10 (22:50):
And it has this already poisoned the well?
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Just ask you.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Yes, because there's one question in here that I know
what Sam would say, but we don't know what Mancy
would say, which was why it was phrased that way.
This whole thing has been already created.
Speaker 7 (23:09):
Why don't we just change it to the newly a
nullve game?
Speaker 4 (23:12):
And yes, unbelievable.
Speaker 7 (23:14):
That's my wife you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Man oh.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
For over forty years, Tyrek has been helping customers find
the right tires for how what where? They drive ship
fast and free, backed by free road as a protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tyreq dot Com.
The way tire buying should be Are you ready to
play the newlywed game? No?
Speaker 5 (23:33):
But apparently.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
Question number one Iowa Sam, the winner of this month's
college football playoff will be, who do you think?
Speaker 3 (23:46):
This is what I think?
Speaker 10 (23:47):
Mancy will say No, just answer your yeah, yes, oh
we have we do it differently, just answering, all right,
little reverse engineering here?
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Uh repeat the question.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
The winner of this month's college football playoff will be,
who do you think?
Speaker 3 (24:02):
Oh, man, let me think here, boy, I'm gonna say Oregon.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
All right, let's see if you guys are a match.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
The winner of the college football playoff.
Speaker 9 (24:17):
Well, since Sam is an Iowa fan, he has to
think with emotion, not just logic, So I'm gonna say
that Iowa. Sam thinks that ole miss.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Champion the end of the month.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
That was a miss.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
We're on a miss strike one for one here. I
think we're gonna do better on question number two.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Maybe, all right, Sam, who's gonna be the NFL m VP.
Speaker 10 (24:48):
Oh man, mmm, trying to think of like who because
like it was for a while I was thinking Stafford,
but they've kind of faded a little bit. Man.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Mm hmm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Time is a wasting.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Sorry, I'll say, I'm gonna say, I'll just go.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
With Drake May. Drake May, all right, I thought he
was gonna go Stafford. Well, let's see what Moncey thought.
Speaker 9 (25:12):
Sam thinks that this year's NFL MVP is gonna be
Matthew Stafford because that's the only answer, and he knows
it should have stuck to my guns and Sam, Sam
has been a Rams like supporter for what they've done
all year long.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Yeah, yeah, you thought the Patriots just nine and eight.
Speaker 10 (25:30):
I know, well, I'm a man who lives in the moment,
and I did pick the Rams to go and win
the Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
Come on, Sam, I know.
Speaker 10 (25:37):
Okay, I'll try to think more in general. I'll try
to just yet Sam with what's the flavor of the
of the moment.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
As Sam's girlfriend has landed back in Iowa right about now,
right about how she has a long layover in Phoenix,
she's listening knowing like, all right, my man is mine.
As you are zero and two, you don't have to
worry about any Monzi interference.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Well, the whole, the whole flow of this thing got
screwed up.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
So what can I say? All right? Question number three,
let's do this, Let's get back on track. Who's gonna
win the twenty twenty six Masters, Sam, who's gonna win
the twenty oh man?
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Second week in April? Is Rory McElroy going to be
putting the green jacket on himself? Will he be putting
it on Scottie Scheffler? What about maybe John Rahm and
a live guy winning Justin Rose, maybe breaks through. Maybe
Xander Schaffley adds to his major hall les go is
Xander Schoffley? Okay? There's zero chance Moncey said that. I listen, Yeah,
(26:41):
got okay, I have got one hundred dollars bill.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Guessing like you think I don't want to go with way?
Guess yours.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
There's no way the answer is going to be Xander Schoffley. Okay,
So I'm putting it down right there. Killing if I'm wrong,
you all you can take this and you guys can
carrying one hundred dollars bill around. He's a baller, big
baller spender, a.
Speaker 7 (27:06):
Big baller buyer.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, don't worry, don't worry. There's not another one in here.
So let's let's hear the answer. Okay, so I said
schlot Shofty.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Here we go the twenty twenty six Masters.
Speaker 9 (27:17):
I feel like Sam is tossing around a few names,
but I think he thinks Scottie Sheffler.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Oh, thank you master, back in the wall, and it
goes what could have been alphabetically, you were close.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
That's not even real.
Speaker 10 (27:32):
Hundred dollars Bill. Yeah, I weren't even prepared to give
it out. I keep fake ones. Yeah, you know that's
what I.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
Do, Sam, giving fake fake answers.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
I wasn't prepared for these. We got we got time
for uh, we got time for one more. I think here,
name a college basketball team or school? Did who did
Mancy say? This is the one question?
Speaker 5 (27:54):
And when I saw this, I was like, this is interesting.
All right, Sam.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
Gonna college basketball school? Name a college basketball school, any
school that plays college basketball? Yukon. Okay, let's see what
Monty had to say a.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
College basketball team.
Speaker 9 (28:10):
For some reason, I feel like the first school that
Sam would think of would be Yukon.
Speaker 11 (28:15):
What what's on the board.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
This makes sense.
Speaker 7 (28:21):
This makes one that had the least odds of all
of them.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
How is it not Iowa?
Speaker 5 (28:26):
Because I was like, just like a jazz you got
the first one that pops into head, into the head
right now.
Speaker 10 (28:31):
It's not Iowa because Iowa hasn't been to a Final
four in like forty five years.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
So this is a strange couple.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
It's a strange couple.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
They're not parents. The job done?
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Oh you got one more? Time for a quick one more? Okay?
Who will be Travis Kelsey's best man at his wedding?
And again, just to show this is set up for
Manzi to answer, but it ends up trying to guess
what Sam would think. So this is Manzi's guessing what
Sam would think.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
I'll go with his kin and his podcast partner, A
go with Jason Kelsey.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
Okay, I think there are a lot of good nominees.
Who did Monci think Sam would say?
Speaker 9 (29:08):
Obviously Travis Kelsey's best man. It's only one answer, and
it's gonna be his brother.
Speaker 7 (29:12):
Hello, Yes, actually an almost like comeback two and three.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
That's right, we are going to take a time out.
All right? Good? Halfway through this we'll compete it next hour.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Let's see if the scales tip in the favor of
this newlywed couple, Mancy Belanos and Iowa Sam. How are
they compatible? How much are they compatible? On guessing what's
gonna happen? In twenty twenty six, Manty has recorded her
answers of what she thinks Sam will say. We'll ask
Sam the question, We'll get his answer, and then we'll
hear if Manzi was able to make a match. You
guys ready to do this? Let's go all right, let's
(30:30):
do this. Come on, Sam, you got two questions out
of the first five. Let's see how you do out
of these next five. The two teams, Sam, that will
make it to the NBA Finals will be who.
Speaker 10 (30:42):
Let's see here, out of the West, I'm gonna say
the Thunder and out of the East, I'm going to
say the Knicks.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
All right, let's see what Mancy had to say.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
The NBA Finals.
Speaker 9 (30:53):
Sam thinks that the NBA Finals, out of the West,
it's gonna be the Oklahoma Thunder, and he thinks out
of the East, it's gonna be the New York Knicks.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
Yo.
Speaker 10 (31:08):
I think Mont and I both want the Knicks because
it'd just be like a sexier matchup or like there,
everyone wants the Knicks to go to the finals. So
maybe we're thinking in that that same vein.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
One more right, and Sean's gonna start to get worried.
Here my wife, all right, number seven? Who will be
the w WNBA MVP in twenty twenty six? Iowa, Sam, Well,
we both.
Speaker 10 (31:32):
Have this same T shirt bearing her name. Sometimes we
rocket on the same day. If we plan it out,
gotta go with hopefully the comeback queen that would be
Caitlyn Clark.
Speaker 4 (31:44):
All right, who did Monsey think Sam would think it's
gonna be the MVP again?
Speaker 9 (31:49):
Because Iowa Sam, I think thinks with emotion and doesn't
always think logically, which is not a bad thing. I
think he thinks the w NBA MVP for the upcoming
season is obviously going to be Kaylin Clark.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Yes, how could I go with anyone else?
Speaker 4 (32:05):
You Kuys are four out of your last four? Let's go.
This is crazy, especially off of the Yukon question of
that wasn't even a Yukon question. It was a tone
if you're joining late last hour. The question was just
name a college basketball school. There's three hundred and eighty
of them, and Iowa Sam is Iowa Sam, and he
(32:27):
guessed Yukon. Mancy said Yukon, like, I don't get it.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
It makes no sense, no things, They're just meant to be.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
The way the questions have played out since then, I'm
shocked that she didn't get Xander Shop.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
Yeah, now, I I can't believe that.
Speaker 10 (32:41):
I mean, I'm loving what Ben McCollum's doing at Iowan
his first season, but yeah, I wasn't about to pick Iowa.
Sometimes it's the heart. Sometimes it's the head. Yeah, a
threet go to five. We've only got three questions left
to go.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Who will be the American League MVP in twenty twenty six? Iowa, Sam,
who do you think it's gonna be? Is this is
question eight? Yes?
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Okay, question eight?
Speaker 4 (33:02):
Here?
Speaker 10 (33:03):
You know, I'm just gonna go with the stock the chalk,
the chalk answer. I'm just gonna go with Aaron Judge again.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Aaron Judge again edged out Cal Raleigh for voting last
time around this Glad Guerrero, Toronto Blue Jays, a lot
of other great nominees. All right, Monci, who do you
think Sam was gonna say?
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Who's gonna be the AL MVP?
Speaker 9 (33:22):
I feel like I owe with Sam is just gonna
give an easy answer because it's Aaron Judge.
Speaker 8 (33:29):
Right.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Well, I swear I didn't listen to He's ahead of time.
Speaker 10 (33:33):
I just listened Mons and I were like, as husband
and wife, we went on a first date and it
was very rough, and then we're like, well we'll try
it a second time.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
I go, things are u our jiving this time.
Speaker 6 (33:43):
I didn't even I didn't even think that Sam could
have listened these ahead of time and since he just
denied it. Now I think he did. Fox Sports Conscience.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Fox Sports Radio internal investigation has been launched.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Jason, You've been in here the whole day, you know
I haven't.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
The Only other evidence that leads to that is like
Sam's like, I don't know. I'm just gonna go chalk
and say Aaron Judge. The Manzi's like he's gonna take
the easy way out. He's just gonna take Aaron Judge.
We're like Et and Elliott. We're on the same wavelength here.
All right, if I get sick, she gets sick, all right,
don't say that your preview of I'm.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
Already h no, I already got sick, so good, all.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Right, all right, all right. The most important Dodger not
named sho Heyo Tani for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 10 (34:27):
Is who question nine here? Yes, I'm trying to make
sure I haven't lost my place here.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (34:33):
Most important Dodger besides show Heotani, well, he was very
very important during the World Series Championship run. I'm going
to say Yoshinobi Yamamoto.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Okay, all right, went from the picture status, who did
Manzi say? Sam would say.
Speaker 9 (34:48):
The most important Dodger not named sho Heyotani. That's a
good question because you could give.
Speaker 5 (34:54):
A couple of answers. But I know that I always
say am probably said Freddie Freeman.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
All good things must come to an endy.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
How convenient that you got the one long after we
called you guys out.
Speaker 10 (35:08):
Yeah, sorry, we had five in a row. We got
all right, we're five and four.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yes, okay, so give you above five hundred. Yes, yes,
you've gotten five out of the nine questions correct. Final
one ends up NFL question for next year? For next year,
the team Kyler Murray plays for in twenty twenty six is.
Speaker 10 (35:33):
I'm just thinking of like similar styles and maybe like
similar height, stature, body type and the fact that he
was benched this year. I'm gonna say Kyler Murray plays
for the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
All right, let's see what Monty has to say Kyler Murray.
Speaker 9 (35:50):
Well, Iowa Sam thinks that Kyler Murray will be taking
his talents to South Beach.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
I don't know it's South Beach, but he's going to
the Dolphins.
Speaker 11 (35:59):
Yeah, yes, my wife, I know there weren't you're talking
about other options, like like he's not going to go
to the chiefs.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
We know that.
Speaker 10 (36:17):
Yeah, there's there's only a couple of options really with
I mean, how many guys have already been you know.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
Job, soul mates, job, job, thank you job. It's not
a bad place to be here in the summer. Started
a little rough, but we we rebounded very well.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Monci.
Speaker 6 (36:39):
I'm trying to think of how I would react if
I had pre knowledge of the answers. I would throw
people off the set with that that fourth question with
Freddie Freeman, then go right back.
Speaker 10 (36:52):
Maybe things just play out the way they play out,
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
I thought he was going to go Mookie Betts.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Yes, that's what I thought too, But I went Freddy.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
I thought Freddy or Yoshi, and I went to Yoshinobu.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Well, good job, thanks sticks out of ten all right,
twenty twenty six.
Speaker 5 (37:10):
Thank you, I love it.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Good job, Mancey, good job. We really know each other.
Speaker 5 (37:14):
We really do start out a little rough because.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Of the kind of reverse things, but we're good now.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
You're very compatible, not surprising, you're both very likable.
