into it, Cavino and Rich with Danny g. He's on
the phones at eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
Iowa Samuel, Sammy, sam Low and Crowns hanging out with
your updates and we hope you had a Cleveland Cavaliers
sort of night.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Yeah, now Ot Little Ot Victory ruining Eminem and Fitty
Sen's date night, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
And the Colorado Avalanche night.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's right. That's right, Hey, Rich, that's right.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Before we get into the schedule release at eight pm
Eastern tonight, Why do guys like you love these videos
so much?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Not the schedule.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
The schedule has always been important, but the new social
media videos because there's something this year that's intriguing me.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
I'll explain.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Okay, Well, the reason I love them, yeah, is because
I feel like it's every team's ability and every team's
opportunity to show like, yo, are we fun? Do we
got do we you know? Are we gonna push the envelope?
Are we gonna be creative? Are we gonna, you know,
make a cool video? It's so easy now actually make
that cool creative videos.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
That to me, it's like, oh, let's see what the
Minnesota Vikings do.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Let's see what the Buffalo Bills do, or the Niners
or the Cowboys, Like, you have this opportunity to be like,
here's our schedule.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Okay, I remember how accurate do you think that is?
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Though?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Like do you think that the video is always sort
of on point with the team's chemistry and the team's
character and the team's identity, or do you think they
don't often match up? Like that's a fun video, but
there's nothing really fun about that team.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
It's really just the social media team's opportunity to flex, essentially.
But to me, if you were given Hey, Cavino, let's
say you were twenty something years old, you're, you know,
fresh out of college, and you're working on the social
media team for the Tampa Bay Bucks and they said,
here's your seventeen game schedule.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Be creative, make a funny video.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
You can make throwbacks, you could incorporate celebrities, you could
use fans, you can do whatever. How do you want
to announce the schedule? And I just think it's everyone's
opportunity to be creative. And I'm a fan of just
creative energy. So to me, I find the ones that
fall flat like that's it, and the other ones I applaud.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
You know, I think it.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Does everybody talk about this at the barbershop? Does everybody
love them the way we love them? The videos? Or
do you just care about the schedule? I mean, I'd
love to hear the Fox Sports radio here, so a
little bit of ninety nine.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
A little bit of proof here. Cove USA Today even
has a big article out ranking the social media teams
for the NFL.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Oh okay, I mean, yeah, dude, It's become a big deal,
no question about it. The thing is, we live in
such a sports bubble sometimes that I know, we discussed
it every year, but I've never been hanging out at
a bar, and my buddy's been like, yo, man, did
you see that Raiders video about the like It's never happened.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
With all due respect, when do you hang out at
a bar.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Uh pretty often, not as often as I used to.
I mean, but we go out, we talk to millions
of people every day. But I'm saying it's not like
it's not like you're like, you know, chopping up with
bar ten. There's like you have a stool, like you're
a you know, Larry Down a few times. I know
you're like trapped in dad life. And that's awesome because
I'm a father too. But while you're coaching little kids
(03:22):
all the time, I got some lonely nights where I
walk to a bar just to grab a sandwich, you know.
So I'm out watching a game at least twice a
week sometimes.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
So you are like Larry Dallas from Thre's company.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, like I'll go to a not a bar to
drink necessarily, just to get like occasion shit and salad
or something, you know what I mean. Like, so I
do hear what people are talking about, and I wonder
is it just a sports bubble mentality or is all
fans you know, really into it as far as.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Video, as far as the video, whether you want to
admit it or not.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah, the world revolves around social media now at least
it's a it's a prong of your life. Whether you've
got teenage kids, you got little kids, keeping them off
social media. You know everyone's job. Now you have a
small business, guess what you gotta do. You gotta get
your small business on social media. What do we do
every day? After the show? We decide what clip to
put on social media? So to say that social media, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook.
(04:17):
If you tell me that stuff's not part of our lives,
you're out of your mind.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I'm not, like I said, I just want to make
sure it's not just our sports bubble and everybody's buzzing
about it, because I'm gonna give you reason to care
because me personally, I'm not into.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
The videos that much.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
And I'm like, am I the only guy and doesn't
care that much about the videos? But now I'm gonna
be tuning in and I'll tell you why. This is
kind of wild to me, Dude. I feel like there's
more to this story. Danny g correct me if I'm wrong.
But according to Yahoo Sports, right, Yeah, I know, Richie're
a big ask Jeeves rest in peace kind of guy.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
You know.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
I'm really I'm still trying to just trying to still
accept the fact that Jeeves is gone.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Jeeves has got ask dot com is gone, well, according
to Yahoo dot com, and yeahoo's sport.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
It's get this. I'm the yodeler. I still get residuals
from that. That's how Rich got into radio.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
The NFL will not will not be reviewing teams videos
for jokes surrounding New England Patriots head coach Mike Rabel
ahead of Thursday nights Tonight's annual schedule release.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
That's per Front Office Sports.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
The league is letting all NFL teams use their own
judgment regarding potential content about Rabel's connection with Diana Russini.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
And we're talking the.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Hot if it's all about clicks and viral and talking
about what I'm now wondering since this is the biggest
viral Rabel story for whatever reason, people won't let it go.
Will any team have the cahonis, oh, yes, to take
this cheap shot?
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Are you kidding?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Is it necessary? Is it a cheap shot? There's so
many levels of thought to this. Are we gonna see
this go down? Because guess what now I'm intrigued. CC Well,
look at it this way, buddy boy. But the NFL,
don't you think they would would. Don't you think it
would have been in their best interest to say, yeah,
don't go there.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
No, they really I think that the listen, you can't
tell a team what to do on TikTok or Instagram, like,
don't do this, You'll hurt feelings.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
No, it's fair game.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
In fact, in past years there there have been subtle digs.
Nothing obvious, but subtle digs in the little videos they make,
and there's creative ones. I just saw someone repost last
year's Buffalo Bills when Josh Allen just goes, I don't know,
use AI and they got Allen Iverson to announce their
schedule instead of actual AI. I mean like every year
it's again it's a contest of yo, who's witty, who's creative,
(06:45):
who's going to cross the line at who's gonna play
it safe and.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Be late enrich a lot of dissing, especially for your
division rivals.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Oh, Dave, Raiders and Chiefs have gone at it in
the past.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
You know, Chargers go at it with everybody.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah, we're fresh off of this Kevin Hart putting up
big numbers on Netflix. Yeah, and how does that tie
into what I'm getting that? Well, it seems like all
of a sudden, political correctness has gone out the window,
and we're now over correcting that by leaning hard into
things that were deemed inappropriate the.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Past few years.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
So if you watch a special, you realize, like, wow,
we can get away with these kind of jokes.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
That you think the Eagles hired Tony Hinchcliffe to do.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Their's what I'm saying, like, based on that, if the
world's ready for all this, all these low blow digs,
then maybe we do see you know, when they're playing
the Patriots two people floating by on a boat or
something like that, Like you may see this tonight and
that's going to be really interesting. And I'm wondering what
teams you think will cross that line division rivals? You
(07:46):
think so mostly maybe maybe just longtime rivals. There's gonna
be teams that push the envelope because they want to
go viral. And when they go viral, guess we get
to pad on the back that twenty four year old
social media kid. That's like I think we should add,
you know, make fun of Rabel, you know, like it's.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Gonna happen, and you know what. To point this out,
I got to bring up one other point. Yeah, you
ask do people care? And I'm not expecting people out
of like the sports. Of course we care. We talk
about these things every year, and every year it's like
Christmas for us. But I'm saying in my real life,
I've never had a buddy be like, bro, did you
(08:22):
see this video Yobra? And I know he put up
big numbers, but I'm like, does everyone care the way
you care?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
I care more than the average guy.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
But I'll say this, Okay, to quote Steve Covino, I
don't expect.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
You to care.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
You can't expect everyone to care about everything you watch,
everything you consume. You can't expect grown men to be
locked on social media. I get this, But our buddy
might hit us up in Cincinnati and he said, look
at Pittsburgh a week or so ago at the NFL Draft.
If hundreds of thousands of people crowd the streets to
watch a name announced, you don't think teams and fans
(08:58):
are clicking on their team Instagram at TikTok page.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I sometimes wonder if everybody's using social media like a
teenage kid the way we do as sports fans. You know,
I'm sure that they do all the time.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
So you think hundreds of thousands of people, the crowd,
the streets, if there's a lot of dudes in their
forties and fifties that don't live that social media life,
and yeah, they'll see the schedule and they'll you know,
observe it.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
But I don't know if they care about these these videos.
I'll say this, I don't know. I'm not saying that.
Don't saying I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Because we work at Fox Sports Radio. iHeart you know,
we're one of their premiere shows.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I mean so I heard.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Yeah, I think because of that, of course I will
skim through all thirty two teams.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
To be like a let me, let me see who
that's crazy U about? Buddy. Here here's the thing.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
You know that everyone from Awful Announcing to our friends
at Barrett Media, to Fox Sports, ESPN, USA Today, Danny,
you name it. You know they're gonna tomorrow there is
gonna be top five best, top five worst.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Yeah. Like I mentioned about USA Today, every year they
rank the teams one to thirty two. And Coveno to
me and Rich's point about how popular this is not
just in our bubble. You remember, this still gets resurrected
from time to time the Titans when they released that
video that went viral. It was the twenty twenty three schedule.
I remember they were on Broadway there in Nashville and
(10:22):
they were asking just random people to identify NFL team
logos and all the stupid crazy answers they were getting.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah, like week three, and it's like, I don't know
the like the.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Thunder Turtles, you know, I don't like like the fans
are just trying to interpret the logo.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
I think I think a woman said the Falcons logo
was the Red Stallions.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, it's all like I remember, oh yeah, I remember
hits us up on the YouTube chat again. We're streaming
live at Covino and rich FSR and YouTube who want
to chime in and chop it up at Covino and
rich FSR. People went after Bill and Georgian last year
Bill Belichick, so we're bound to see some potential lines
being I think that's ultra personal.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
It's a very personal story and people.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
I think it opens up floodgates because nobody is perfect,
and if you're gonna take that low blow route, then
you know it's all.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Fair game for everybody moving forward.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
And we're gonna see a lot of slaicious dirt as
a result, And I think that's more intrigue if people
care as much as you say they care, even more
intrigued with the possibility the NFL allowing cheap shots to
Rabel and the Patriots, I mean, because.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
People love to hate them.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
They may be Taylor Swift, Travis Kelcey wedding jokes.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah, jokes, but some jokes are are a little harsher
than others, you know what I mean, little off color,
and that Rabel Russini story is a juicy one. And
the NFL, if you're just joined to announce that they
did not put any ky bosh on any team, they're
letting the team use their own discretion on these videos.
(11:53):
So again, we'll find out and see what's going on
in just a few hours. West from Idaho, west from
Vegas is the line crossing is the name of the
clickbait game. So we're definitely gonna see that.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Man.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
I'm I'm thinking of any players that have had legal
trouble that might be h good culprits and victims tonight.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Out of the thirty two videos, how many make some
sort of Rabel crafty, creative Rabel this, well, keep them on.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
There's only going to be you know, two games in
each in the division rivals, there's only going to be
a handful of teams that play the Patriots. But I
bet you how about this, fifty percent of the teams
that play the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
We'll do it.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Even if it's a little like Rabel winking or something like,
there's going to be something, all.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Right, climbait the name of the game.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Hey, Sam, you're the least active on social media by far.
You don't even have an Instagram page, which bothers me
because people need to see Iowa, Sam, and you can
see them right now streaming on our page at Sorry, yo, dude,
where you are you? Are you going to X at
eight pm? Just to check it out?
Speaker 5 (12:59):
Or what?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Now? He's going on friendster Camino? Yeah, what does Sam do?
Speaker 4 (13:04):
I don't really care about this stuff, see.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
All right, I know him not alone, bro.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
I know these things put up big numbers, but I'm
telling you, grown ass men are not all living that life.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Even if they're a hardcore facebold football.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Then hold on, then hold on, Sam. Yes, I'm not
I'm not coming down on you. That's fine, But I'm
just I wonder like what moves your needle? Like what
would you click on?
Speaker 6 (13:23):
What?
Speaker 1 (13:23):
What does I with Sam click on?
Speaker 4 (13:27):
I mean just in terms of football content, you know,
in general.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Like what what do you click on? What?
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Anything?
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Sam?
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Sam, You're in your third like thirty year old ioa
Sam not a big social media guy.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Sadly, I'm forty in October.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
It's scared.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
I'm scared.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
And Sam's a little uh, little old school in his ways,
you know, so, and he's a football fan.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Yeah, a single ish forty year old I was, Sam,
what what do you click on social media?
Speaker 7 (13:52):
I click on like weird news stories like about just
weird crimes that happened. I mean I don't know, Yeah,
anything is like dramatic or like you know, I don't
This stuff is just like I don't care. Like the schedulers,
like if in college football, you might, oh, we're playing
North Texas, the North Texas team that went undefeated last year,
Like they're not gonna be on the schedule like ever again.
Like so, like a college schedules are mostly fluff because
(14:15):
like they do play a lot of Patsy's. But like NFL,
it's like these teams they see each other they don't
like they come and go.
Speaker 4 (14:21):
It's like, I don't really care. I just don't.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
I just think it's another it's another vehicle to get
fans hyped. And I really do think that if take
away the schedule video releases CAVI, you know, I think.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Oh, you're not gont hate it by any means.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
I think it's fun, but I think it's like it's
so it's kind of goofy fun that I think like
a lot of grown stuff there.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
I know what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
What you're saying is the same guys that say pooh
pooh to this are the same guys that never watch
the reality show with their wife.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Yeah, kind of right.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
And I'm not necessarily that guy, but I could see that,
and I'm giving you more reason to maybe check it
out tonight.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I think the Rayble thing is juicy. I think it's
I do think it's wrong.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Bro, if you can't if you can't sit through a
couple of minutes of your team making a clever video
of who they're playing, then I guess you're too cool
and like you have better things to do, and God
bless you.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Then. But I will say my big observation.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
So far from hearing the Koran and Dan Bayer and
Manse and everyone go over some of the leaks in
the schedule, the NFL is really right now. I feel
like they're right there as far as maximizing international games, holidays, holidays,
(15:34):
random days, standom days. I think right now, yo is
the Kron there? Because Isaac, I know we talked yesterday
about the.
Speaker 6 (15:44):
Loan.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Kron is my age, Isaac. Do you sit there and
watch all these videos?
Speaker 8 (15:49):
The charm of these videos is the easter eggs. The charm,
if it's done right, is re winding and going through
in slow motion and freeze framing them to see the
easter egg people like I think we all are those
(16:09):
those those people saw our particular teams.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah, for each team.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Okay, I was gonna say, Kron, when you look at
the schedules, now, do you feel like the NFL it's
almost like you remember Dealer No Deal with Howie Mandel.
Speaker 9 (16:24):
Not really not. I wasn't a fan of that particular show, but.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
You know, I remember Kron.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
I remember you've heard of it.
Speaker 9 (16:30):
Oh, I've heard of it, of course.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
I remember, you know, when we were doing our talk
show for Maxim magazine. We'd invite all those girls to
the show as often as possible.
Speaker 9 (16:39):
There are those episodes archive just out of care.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Yeah, Covido wanted them to open more than their suitcases.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Hey, I didn't say that anyway.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
My point being on that show, there would always be
one person that was like, hey, deal with no deal
three hundred thousand dollars, and they'd be like, over to
open one more case?
Speaker 1 (17:01):
How we and then they lose it all.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Or there'd be that rare case where someone's like, I'm
gonna do it one more time and they they end
up with half a million dollars. I think the NFL
right now, or maybe Isaac, how about press your Luckammy
Noammy stop?
Speaker 9 (17:15):
Mmmm well yeah no, I'm you absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
The NFL as at a point now where it's like,
all right, dude, I could get down with the Thanksgiving
EVE game.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
I could get down with the Black Friday Game.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Thanksgiving you got not only two games, now you have
that that Night game. We are at the point where
it's like, all right, stop pushing your luck. Stop pressing
your luck Whammy style. I get a holiday Christmas game,
maybe a Christmas EVE game, but you like, stop now,
now's the time to stop. Don't start being like and
we should start doing Tuesday games, because then it's gonna
be too much.
Speaker 9 (17:45):
I agree one. I think the only remaining thing that
they will do and they should absolutely stop after that,
is the eighteenth regular season game. They should absolutely, under
no circumstances expand add any more teams or have a
full time team outside of the United States and Europe
or otherwise. If they do something like that, they jump
(18:05):
the shark.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
I think that as we've talked about the eighteen week
schedule with two bye weeks, or or maybe even the
bigger schedule where they play eighteen games with two buys
at international games, they're at the limit of pushing the envelope.
And I feel like, right now, it's like you got it.
It's like you're playing boci ball. You're close to the ball.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Stop like just stop now like this, see you got it?
You got it. NFL, you got us.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
And tonight is the holiday five pm on the West
eight pm Eastern. Social media drops the NFL schedules and
their crafty little videos. Who wins the social media battles?
Who crosses that? Who crosses that? Mike Rabel line that
the NFL is allowing that, to me adds another layer
of intrigue, where, yeah, when I'm doing the ball scroll
later on, I will be looking for that Easter egg cove.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
You know what else you're forgetting? You? You bring this up
every year, so I'll I'll remind you.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, Cavino always points out tonight tonight, when you could
start saying, all right, let's plan that much needed bros
trip that maybe you go away with your brother or
some of your old college or high school buddies. Tonight
you will get a clear view of all right, what
October November December weekend?
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Could I know?
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Tell the WiFi, Hey, do you mind if I dip
away have a guy's weekend like tonight, you will get
a very clear scope of, hey, maybe a fun catch
up with some of your old pals.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
As they released the NFL schedule today, according to Yahoo Sports,
the NFL is allowing any sort of rabel Russini diss
They're not saying no to it. So it makes it
more interesting to see who crosses those lines. And if
you heard Bayer and Monse today, props to them.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
They're the best.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
I love them, Dan Bayer and Monte Bolanos were reacting
to the reports that the NFL is eyeing the Patriots
versus Seahawks to kick off the season, insinuating rich kind
of what I was getting at, Like, I'm surprised that
the NFL said, yeah, sure, use your own discretion because
by saying that, you're also saying because we like it,
(20:04):
and we're leading into this publicity because if it bleeds,
it leads, and this is gonna be.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
More eyes on the schedule tonight.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
Yeah, I mean, schedule night is a big night already,
but now at the little added bonuses of like, oh,
who's gonna take digs at who?
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah, it's the NFL tapping into the hype of this story,
which is kind of cheap but kind of interesting.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
Yeah, I mean, and social media directors unfortunately know, as
you said, if it bleeds, it leads. If it's more
juicy and more salacious, people are gonna click. If you
hear that out of nowhere, I don't know, pick like
a Rando team. If you heard that the Houston Texans
were the ones that took a shot, you'd be like Texans,
you look up their video.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
But you know, by the way, I again, I don't
want to be the cheap show that dives into this story, right,
because it's a weird story. But and nobody's perfect, right,
there's a lot of skeletons out there.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
I mean, mister perfect Kurt heading is yeah, but rest
in peace? Yeah, what's the is it a boat? Like,
what's the what's the dig?
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Like they're at a casino? Like what's the viral image
or thing that we see that implies like, oh, and
then we're playing the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Oh, it's like maybe like the mascot laying on a
lounge chair next.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
To Vrabel.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
That's a good yeah, yeah, like like let's say it's
a then they go play the Patriots and it's I
don't know, Danny g like a sour dough sam of
the forty nine ers, like laying on a lounge chair, Right.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
That's perfect.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Yeah, we're gonna see something like that for sure. How
much of it will we see? How do you feel
about the NFL leaning into this.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Or maybe like the Philadelphia Eagle like his head popping
out like behind them at the at the gamble at
the table in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
I would have Russini saving my mascot in a in
a truck accident.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Oh, by the way, another story that just sort of
went nowhere. I don't know if that was a PR
stunt or what, but yeah, that's another story tied into
it where they said Russini saved an old guy. I
don't know, man, but you know she's very nice to us.
So I'm not talking smack. I'm just speculating. So your thoughts.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
It's tonight, the videos come out, the NFL schedule will
be dropped. People will be buzzing about it.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
I think even more because of the possibilities of what
we're going to see, and.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
I think we're living in a.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Time again where political correctness is more out the window
than we've seen in years, and people will be crossing
those lines more than expected. We're live in the Fox
Sports Radio studio. We'll get to your feedback now at
Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio, and I'll pull
up some of the live chat at Covino.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
And Rich FSR.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Not only do we have the schedule release tonight, we're
finding out more and more about another season of quarterback Buddy.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Oh yeah, speaking of the NFL, this is pretty cool, man.
I think this is a really cool story because only
certain people Look, I'm the guy that doesn't care about.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
These goofy videos.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I think they're kind of goofy, Like they're a little
corny to me. But I'm atriating, OK, I think I'm
the only guy. What I am interested in is a
guy by the name of Baker. Must watch Mayfield, Baker Mayfield.
The story is, Danny G, back me up on this.
(23:17):
That Quarterback, the series that everybody loves, went to Baker
Mayfield for season one and season two, but because Mayfield
wanted to spend all of his quality time getting to
know his teammates and acclimating to Tampa Bay and being
there with his family as they adjust and everything like that,
he wanted no part of it. But they approached him again,
(23:38):
Hey will you be on season three? And it seems
like we're getting them.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Baker Mayfield will be part of Quarterback season three along
with Jayden Daniels, Flocko, and Ward Net. Premiere is July fourteenth,
And it got me thinking, like.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Does he make you tune in? Is he the type
of guy that makes you watch? And who are those
other guys?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Danny G.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Your guy gotta be on that list of like, yeah,
Fernando was on there, you're watching.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Oh, he probably will make it next year.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Who's that dude in Hollywood? Nowadays?
Speaker 2 (24:10):
That gets you out of the out of the house
to the theater.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
When we were younger, it used to be like Timothy Shallomy,
like a Jim Carry or like a Tom Hanks. Now
is it Timothy Chalomey? Is he one of the few
guys or what?
Speaker 2 (24:21):
How?
Speaker 1 (24:22):
For me? Personally?
Speaker 10 (24:23):
No?
Speaker 4 (24:23):
I like him.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
I love his love of sports, But I'm too lazy
to get up for that guy.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
I would say, Michael B.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Jordan, Oh, that's a good one. I don't know if
I'm glad. That's a good one. By the way, Schalomey
rich for I think for we Neil kids.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Absolutely so. I'm just saying for me, like, it's got
to take a lot. Mayfield is yo. I'm watching because
of him, I'm watching anyway. But I think he's an
intriguing dude.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
I don't see anything. I mean, maybe I'm wrong here.
I know he's outspoken saying that he still could deliver.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
But FLACKA huh, yeah, yeah, that's that's pretty interesting. I
thought that was interesting too.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
You know, the storyline always bounced from quarterback to quarterback
and I'm like, is this gonna be the story of
like I won a Super Bowl when I was a
younger man over a decade ago, and I'm still the
grizzly veteran that I could still contribute.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Yeah, they want to balance the story lines out because
you've got a couple of younger dudes in Ward and
Daniels Mayfield kind of in the middle, and then of
course the grizzled veteran in Flacco.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
So I want to be must watch it.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
I mean athletes who are the Baker Mayfields. I think
he's one of those guys who are the must watch athletes.
I'll tell you why, Rich you think I'd give a
Diddley squad about the Buccaneers, But I'll always check to see,
like what Mayfield's up to, what he's doing, how he's
leading the team.
Speaker 8 (25:37):
You know.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I mean, like he's just that type of guy. He's scrappy,
he's relatable. You root for him because you know his journey, Like, ah,
he's come a long way.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
I think he's a good one.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
I think one that would intrigue many just because he's
young and like a charismatic cancer dude. Celebrated a birthday
yesterday Jackson. Dart would have been an interesting choice.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
I think would have been Yeah, that would have been
like rain Baby ratings, the guy like Dart, you know,
adjusting to living in the Big Apple, New York City,
the pressure of being a New York football giant.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
That that would have been a good one. I thought,
you know, who I think is getting there.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
I don't think they're there, but as the Canelo rain
slowly goes away in the world of fighting, I think
the Mexican Monster, David Benavidez is slowly becoming like a
must watch guy in the world of Bodley. Yeah, like
he's the next He's that next dude. He headlines single
to Mayo. When do you think single to Mayo? You
(26:27):
think Canelo Alvras, You think Floyd Mayweather, Right, he was
always fighting around.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
That, you're Boxington. I don't think the average person even
knows who he is yet getting there.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
The Mexican Monster.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
He's Look, he's got that name from Mike Tyson himself.
He calls him that. I think he's gonna be that dude.
He I don't think he's there, but I think he's
like they're they're opening the door for him.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
To be that guy.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
So who else must watch by the way, box Office
or you know in sports.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
By the way, really quick. Two guys who have been
reported to have turned this series down Jalen Hurts and
Justin Fields.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Oh, Justin Justin Fields living in La dating Madison Beer.
Did I say just Fiel's I meant Herbert Herbert, you know,
being an LA guy.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Little involvement. Maybe you get some cameos from Harbaugh Madison Beer.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
That would have been an interesting one. I think that's
I could see why he turned it down, though. I
guess if you have a celebrity.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Well and then the other Harba Rich, maybe that's why
Jackson Dart if they did approach him, maybe that's why
he would say no. Having a brand new coach there
that you know has has some rules.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
West from Vegas as Baker is must watch TV. So
this is a cool announcement. Again he'll be on season
three Quarterback. This is funny because Jones one ninety nine
is boxing is essentially non existent nowadays. Cove, Well, that's
funny because I think Jake Paul, who says his career
might be in jeopardy because of his broken jaw, was
a must watch draw. Whether you like him or not.
(27:53):
I'm just one of those guys. They're usually polarizing guys.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
The answer of must watch, I think Mike Tyson, up
until that last fight with with Jake Paul.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Mike Tyson. Anytime Mike Tyson does anything, I'm intrigued, he's
must watched.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Still for me, I think Sugar Shan O'Malley was on
that path and he slipped a little bit, but he's
on his come up again. So in UFC, who do
you think that is? Is it Strickland after his big
win over the weekend? You know who's that guy that
gets you to tune in or gets your lazy ass
off the couch.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Or speaking to go to the theater?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Speaking of must watch, Yeah, this weekend. It's on Netflix,
and I don't feel like we've talked about it much
at all. Rond de Rowsey, Gina Carano's like two days
away and we haven't really chatted about it.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
You're gonna watch or what I mean?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
I'd imagine, dude, I absolutely think that that's must watch guarantee.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yeah, all right, well, I mean for for all sorts
of reasons. Man, not anymore. But in her prime, Rond
de Rowsey was like that was like a must watch UFC.
Speaker 10 (28:59):

But on this day you love on this day, Rich,
I on this day, Guy, Doc Gooden's No Hitter with
(29:58):
the Yanks.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
I was at when I beat this house, Bro.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
I was at my grandma's house eating tacos on this day.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Thirty years ago. Yeah. How does it feel with the
Yankees as a Mets fan and disgusting, disgusting you know.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
I have a buddy who has a legendary story about
how his dad came home from work early and goes,
I got tickets.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
It's the Yankees, not the Mets.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
He's a Mets fan, my buddy Mike, and he said, uh,
Dad's like, you want to go to the game. He's like,
I don't want to go to the Yankees game. But
it's Doc Gooden. I still don't want to go. And
that was Docs. Oh and that always.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Regrets, always regrets.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah, I can see why as a rock fan twenty
five years ago, on this day, let the.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Bodies hit the fuck. Let the bodies it.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
The bodies came out by drowning pool. That's an anthem
in the turbo rock world. But anyway, C and R
on FSR and it's time for our tire I rack.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Play of the day.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
The Pistons couldn't generate scoring in the last three minutes
of Game five, blew their lead and then got behind.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
In over to ooh right side Mitchell, don fakes to
three steps left, shoots.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
It buried it Donovan Mitchell, Oh my goodness, he hit it.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
From Man Harbor can alice steel.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
By Streus Bounce to Mitchell laid it up and in
Sruce on the loose with the Steel Saliers. Huh yeah,
I'm the loose.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Cavaliers win one seventeen point thirteen in ot and take
a three two series lead. That's courtesy of one hundred
and seven WMMS Cavaliers Radio Network.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
And that's our TIRERANCT play of the day.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Uh now you said today, it's a lot of anniversaries,
a lot of on this day. But not only is
there an on this day, there's a birthday of someone
that you and I are big fans of. We've interviewed
this guy multiple times. He's always been a delight. He's
like a fun frat guy come to life, but also
a very intelligent guy who the rumors are he hasn't
(31:52):
spent a dollar of his NFL money.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
He uses only endorsement money. So way smarter than you think.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Happy thirty seven to Rob Gronkowski and we get into.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Old School, win fifty hits. Let's go there's a certain YEA.
What we gonna do is go back body back into town,
throwing it back for a Thursday.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Old School went fifty hits. At fifty after CNR give
you the time capsule topic and we reminisce together.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Yeah, you know before we were talking about Hillary Duff
and her stuff.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
On the cover of SI. Gronkowski's beautiful girlfriend. He's been
with for years.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
I think that's how and when he met her. She's
a cover girl from SI. Camille Kostek. We've had him
both on the show. Fun loving couple, great couple, and
he's just a fun loving.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Dude, great kind of dude.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Thirty seven years old today, honestly, still such a young guy.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
You think about it when you think about how his
buddy Tommy Yeah, played until he was forty five.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
Think how like I pictured them as like bros. Gronk's
like a little bro to tom Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
But based on him and his persona and who Gronk
is and who we know him to be, and by
the way we've interviewed him, like I said, he's been
a part of our show at certain events, he is
who that's.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Really just who he is, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
And that's what you love about the guy. But based
on that, who is cut from the same cloth. I
don't know if that's a polyester or whatever the jerseys
are made of Roger that, but who's cut from the
cloth of lovable goofballs in the world of sports and entertainment. Oh,
goofy guy, lovable goofy guys. Yeah, I mean the first
(33:38):
that comes to mind.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
It was recently the anniversary of his one home run
Bartolo Cologne. No matter where he played, everyone's like, dude,
you gotta love Bartola.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
I mean people love him that way. Is he that way?
No doubt?
Speaker 2 (33:51):
And there's something about him that entertains. But this is
where we get you involved. At eighty seven to seven
ninety nine on Fox, So your phone calls next mostly
number goofballs and sports.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Oh see yo, soy fiesta.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
It's Gronk's birthday. He's only thirty seven, right, you feel
like he's been around forever. Thirty seventh birthday. He's got
a beautiful girlfriend, He's got lots of money. He's never
spent any of his endorsement money. That's the rumor, right,
I mean, that's they say. And you know, for his
goofy as he is, he's making great decisions.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
He's a fun dude to root for in life.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
And it got us thinking about other fun loving goofballs
and sports and entertainment.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
And this is where we get you involved.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Guys be part of the show and calls now at
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Ritchie, no came to mind for me.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Nope, Well, there's a few great answers, like great, I
want to give him props at Covino on Rich FSR,
We're streaming live when Manny Munio hit us up, Man,
he was like, dude, Nick Swish delicious.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
I wrote down, Nick Swish, I'm not a joke and
I had him down. You know, we all know it.
But I don't think he gets enough credit like that. Dude.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
You think, man, he is such such a fun loving dude,
Man Swish a lish.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
And how about the guy that stops by our show,
Kay Rain brings him up, stops by our show on
Tuesdays during baseball season, Big Poppy. I don't know what
he says. I could I could beat him, beat him.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
I don't know what.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
I think a couple of the star athletes who's drop
by our program could be on this list because Shack
has kind of morphed into a goofy spokesperson.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
You know, without a doubt, he's he's not he's never
too cool for the room and he's Shack. So yeah,
He's on that list for sure.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
And you know what, you gotta throw Barkley in there too,
because think of the controversy with him and Draymond which
is a which is a really dumb name when you think.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
About it, Draymond Green Rayon. Do you want to tell
me why, Dwayne Johnson? Yeah, now I don't.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
But the difference between them is it seems like guys
like Dreamond take themselves too serious during those broadcasts. He
didn't take himself all that serious at that Kevin hart Rose,
which was nice, right. He had some fun with that,
and maybe that was a good reason, a good pr
move for him to get out there and do it,
because a guy like Charles Barkley lets things roll off
his shoulder, and he has fun and he could take
(36:18):
a joke, right. So, Danny G I agree with you.
Shag Barkley. Who else to inspire our show from time
to time? But I thought of Adrian Beltray because any
highlight you see that guy Adrian Beltray, it's him slapping
somebody in the ass, him, you know, him doing something
goofy on the diamond I have.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
I have a couple that come to mind for me.
One of them is just absurd. I mean you could
say fun loving. I don't know if he's cut from
her ground cloth, but he's over the top, you know,
like just the lone style over the time.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
Absolutely, a guy.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
That's been on our show, a guy that's lost his
damn mind. Lenny Dykstra, I just think he's a whack
of doing.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Is he fun loving you?
Speaker 4 (37:01):
We didn't say. We didn't say any freaks me out,
we didn't say biggest weirdo in sports.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
And fun loving.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
We've interviewed him and he's like he's fun in like
the Gary Busey kind of way, like I'm scared of
what he's gonna do and say next.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
I mean, I see, I think Gary Busey's one, all right?
That how about this one?
Speaker 6 (37:17):
Then?
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Johnk Kruk, Yeah, there you go. I like John Crouch
And I'm not saying that I don't like Lenny Nails Dykstra.
I'm just saying he seems like he's unhinged a little bit,
all right, where Gronk leads with a lot of like
kindness and fun mar Could I give you someone that
passed away?
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Yeah, I don't even know if it was him on
social media, but there was such a joy I got
out of the iron cheek.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
The iron cheek I will, I mean all his all
his tweets before he died. Come on, and maybe I'm misleading.
Maybe I'm misreading this conversation. Yeah, like, k, how about
how about bo bon Like that's a great answer.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
He was.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
He's a fun loving dude, right, So I'm not saying
you're wrong.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
It's also I think more rich, think like goofy and
a lovable I like in the entertainment world. I was
thinking of the step brothers Will Ferrell and John c
Riley in entertainment.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Yeah, that's like, that's what made that movie, is like
two big kids working together.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
I agree with Mikey seventeen forty eight.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
I think the reason that Gabriel Iglesias is as popular
as he is is because he always stayed true to
his brand and he really leaned into that family friendly
comedy where he's so lovable and likable.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
He's sort of a lovable, fluffy goofball. I have a question.
When you say lovable goofball, I remember years ago. Just
think Rob Gronkowski.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
I remember years ago, our producer on video Spot got
mad because you refer to him as jolly once.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
I did, because he's like jolly, that's a fat guy thing,
he said. Yeah, And I'm thinking, like.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
When you're talking about like these lovable like athletes, I
feel like you're asking me, like name like chubby athletes.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
That had a personality.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Why would you even think that? Right, Danny, Like we're Kronk,
he's fattest. That's what if?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Kronk is the example.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
Like we're saying guys that I gotta take themselves that
serious and hey bring the fun like a Terry Bradshaw.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
Right, I go one, I go on, I go one. Uh,
he's not a vato loco, but Joey Vada what about
Joey Vado?
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Yeah, he's definitely like a fun loving dude. He's always uh,
he's always good for a fun highlight. Seems like a
nice guy. Never never met him, but he's a vatto
loco forever.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Uh. Who else comes to mind? Again?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
We get you involved every Thursday at eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Or Not. You told me this guy was fun loving
when the Mets got him. Now, the Mets are having
a struggling season. They've won three in a row now,
but relief picture Luke Weaver. Every time that guy speaks,
I'm like, yo.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
He's wild.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Yeah, Yeah, he's a He's a funny dude, doesn't take
himself serious and like he says quotable funny things that
go viral all the time. Luke Weaver definitely one of those, like,
definitely a goofball.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Absolutely rich.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
You have one of these guys on your team, Come
on on your niners.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Oh do you mean the memoth known as George Kittle? Yes, yeah,
is the hero the hero he killed a spider or
something like that, and he's a hero now.
Speaker 7 (40:26):
Yeah, plus the wrestling stuff and chugging beers, going to
concerts like he's he have.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
The Kelsey's just fallen into that category because of all
their successes. That brothers and podcasters.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Yeah, I would say so.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Yeah, especially for Swifties who now discover football. They love
those guys, especially Jason. He's still lovable and fun when
he's dancing around.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
The guy got moves. But yeah, those are good ones.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
And dude Kittle is a great answer because I mean
he's a little bit of a wild man, right, but
he's definitely cut from a gronk claw where he's fun
and he brings the energy and he's that guy in sports.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
Trying to think what about Uh? I there was this
picture back in the day. Do you remember wild thing
Rick Vaughan. He's not lovable, dude. Would you say he's
in that conversation lovable? Uh? Who'd be lovable in that movie?
Pedro Sorado.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Lovable in Major League? I don't know that's a good one.
All right, let's go to the phones. Eight seven seven
nine and Rich I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying,
huh eight seven ninety nine one Fox.
Speaker 4 (41:36):
All right, let's start with Bruno and Brooklyn. Haven't heard
from Bruno in a second. God, good to hear from you. Bruno.
Speaker 11 (41:42):
What's up, gentlemen? Hey, it's been a while.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Man.
Speaker 6 (41:45):
I've been listening every day. I'm just a busy man,
real quickly love it.
Speaker 5 (41:50):
I love you guys.
Speaker 11 (41:51):
I just I was thinking about it.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
And if you go football, we're gonna have to go
with We gotta go with the Bears are going Jim
McMahon in the fridge. As a combinator, okay, nice wi
should be sweet, But as a Yankee fan, I gotta go.
Ricky Henderson and David Wells, because those guys were both
off the rails. Wells knew it, but Ricky.
Speaker 11 (42:12):
Was just crazy and didn't know it.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
He just was just a crazy man, but still unbelievable
players that were wacky people.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
By the way, You know who has their reputation too,
and they always say like they speak of him as
one of those legendary party guys, and it is someone
you would never really expect, at least I wouldn't. But
anytime you hear a story about David Cohne, it's always
like this guy throws him down. He was a wild
man behind the scenes, and you think of him as
he David cone Cony, nice guy, great broadcaster like in
(42:40):
his day, Like this dude, he still parties, from what
I understood, I got one.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
I got one former Chicago cub New York met. Maybe
you could add a couple teams if you want to
play on the road again. He wore a shark tooth
around his neck and he slammed down the rosen bag
and he would pace around the mound like a weirdo.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
But he was lovable because he played it up with
the fans. Remember Turk Wendell.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
Yes, of course, absolutely all right, So back to the
phone calls eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox The
most Lovable Goofballs in tribute to Gronk's birthday.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
I remember he would slam down the rosin bag and
then the crowd would go nuts, like until he did that,
the crowd like stet of state silent.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
You don't remember that, of course I do. Yeah, okay,
what makes you think I did?
Speaker 12 (43:25):
Oh?
Speaker 11 (43:25):
No, I.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Feel like I feel like I feel like I'm missing
the mark on all of these in your mind, Like Rich,
like like you know you gave me. It's like when
my son shows me like a mediocre artwork. I'm like, yeah,
wait to go, buddy.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
You know who's that? I think?
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Lovable like that Michael Strahan, Right, He's like he's a
silly dude.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Everybody loves him. I think he's in that conversation, Rich,
you just think.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
Of personalities that are big and goofy all on Gronk.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Yeah, I think I'm thinking a more peculiar guy. I
think I'm thinking you thinking like wild Man.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
Yeah wow, speaking of somebody wild Let's go to Las Vegas.
Trip is in the house.
Speaker 13 (44:04):
Hey, good and talk to you gentlemen, y'all, took a
bunch of them, but I'll throw out a couple to
see what you think. Maybe John Day and Golf uhh yeah, Fantine,
Fantino Morella and the w W mispronouncing everybody's names, and
then uh Ron Darling maybe from the Mets. And then
of course Will Ferrell, even though he's a comedian, he
(44:24):
just seems like a fun loving guy.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
Oh, fun loving goofball.
Speaker 2 (44:27):
In fact, I'll seamlessly promote an old school interview on
a throwback Thursday of Us with Will Farrell. Just search
on YouTube Covino and Rich with Will Farrell. It's sort
of a random, weird one. But you know what, Rich,
he made me think, Thank you, Trip. He made me
think of three other people in the world of wrestling,
just fun loving goofballs, o.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
Hacks and and uh Luke and Butch dude, lovable idiots.
What about Georgia Animal Steel? Then he's just an idiot,
I don't know, a lovable idiot. Yeah, I don't know.
If he was he that lovable Mark again, yeah, I
don't know. He's just a weird, like, yeah, weird damn
(45:12):
weird goofball. Anyway, thank you guys. We'll take a few
more phone calls. Whoever comes to mind is old school
in fifty hits. We do it every Thursday.
Speaker 4 (45:19):
You can tell Rich is just more into wild and
crazy guys.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Yeah, dude, put that down in my profile.
Speaker 4 (45:26):
Let's go to Ohio, Kenny.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
What's up Kenny?
Speaker 12 (45:30):
Hey you guys, thanks for having me on.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
John Diesel, paper Mine, John Riggins, Mohawk and Jets Pad
Connor lighting up baby.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Every time I think of Riggins cave, you know, and
I have the same thought. We'd see him all the
time in the bathroom at Serious Exam back.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
And he had a yeah, he had a patented move.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
Tell him about you know, the move move move really Okay,
So Danny g you gotta picture this. When we worked
at Syrius Exam, it's all weird walks of life working
there and visiting there and and interviewed.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
So we'd have these.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
Random bathroom encounters, right, it's like who's It's like Axel
Rose to the right, you got uh.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Rob Low to the left.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
And then one day John Riggins comes walking in. We're
all taking you know, a break, a.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Bathroom break, and he uses he does the no hands
like head on the wall routine at the Erie elbow.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Like yeah, like like he's leaning against the wall. No hands,
no hands on the as you would like to say,
no hands on the Johnson wall.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
That's what Cole has been doing when I've been potty training.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
I know.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
It's like yeah, and Rich is right with the arms arms,
arms and head up like against the wall. Almost.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
It was kind of wild every time we see because
he was working there. I think at one point we
will see him often in case anyone was wondering, now
you an interesting technique. Now if you ever find yourself
doing that on a lazy night, it's the Riggins, the
you know.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
Our buddy Sean Weller us up listening on the Fox
Sports Radio. iHeart app He said, yeah, if you gotta
talk about wrestlers, I mean, is it Rick Flair just
with his speeches alone, and he's like whoa, Like how
he's been living off of the woo?
Speaker 1 (47:10):
I mean, isn't he a little lovable?
Speaker 8 (47:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (47:14):
But ila.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
Lately you see him go after Luca.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
Yeah, but he always had that smooth talking. He was
like a cool sort of character.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
He had a strut and everything, Like I think Gronk
is just goofy so and he's lovable, but dude, there's
really no wrong answers, like to stop taking it so personal?
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Yeah, I think more meathead rich Oh man, I'm kidding.
Let's go back to the studio lines Ethan's been holding
in Indiana.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
Would that be a good one? Like lovable meathead?
Speaker 6 (47:45):
Hey guys, how are you?
Speaker 1 (47:46):
Hey? Bud?
Speaker 6 (47:47):
Hey, two people came to my mind. One that kind
of sports, one entertainment, but just two dudes that are
kind of larger than live awesome guys that I've never
been around but would love to be uh kind of
locally here in the Indianapolis area as Pat mcafe.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (48:01):
This seems like a dude that brings out the best
out of everybody. And then Adam Sandler in the entertainment
industry where he doesn't cared to doll it up. Dude,
he is true to himself. What a guy.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Thanks for the When it comes to goofy Samdler's a
great one, like because he's a cool dude, but yeah,
he he commits to being a goofball, which is why
we laugh at his goofy stuff.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
I mean, this is old school and he's no longer
with us, But in this category of lovable goofballs, just
a physical comedy of like a Chris Farley.
Speaker 4 (48:35):
Yeah, what about like a Robin Williams.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Like falling through tables just being like Chris Farley apparently
always just went for that silly physical laugh and so
will always tell great.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
Stories based on him. Do you put Paul Walter Hauser
on that list of a come up kind of guy?
Because he's in like every movie and everybody finds him
to be fun love and he's playing Chris Farley in
that biopic do.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
You mean sting Ray from Cobra Kai. Yeah, he's an
everything Paul Walter Houser in Cove. I would put one
of your heroes, Pee Wee Herman into this category.
Speaker 2 (49:06):
He definitely was a goof. Everything he did was a goof.
I thought he was pretty cool man. He had his
own movie.
Speaker 4 (49:11):
Yeah, he was a cool goof.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
He had his own playhouse. He was a ladies man.
Thought he was all over to dude. I mean, but
then again, I don't know. Did Pee Wee want thought
he maybe be the phone's breaking up? Think?
Speaker 2 (49:22):
Yeah, he did magic tricks. I thought he was pretty awesome.
To be honest, I never thought he was like goofy
you know where.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
You're at boom both tied at work.
Speaker 2 (49:30):
One day, or what if he had a boomerang both die?
There was Peewee was a legend all right.
Speaker 4 (49:35):
Time for a couple more calls in this segment, Let's
let's go to the home of wemby San Antonio. Jason
is in the house.
Speaker 1 (49:41):
What's up, Jason, Sir?
Speaker 11 (49:44):
I don't know if you'll watch any Spurs games, but
Luke Cornett is a huge goof off and I love that.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (49:51):
And then I got a Peyton Manning and Blake griffs
and a lovable not mea heads but I guess yeah, yeah, oh.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
Peyton mann definitely a lovable Yeah, he's goofy. Yeah, that's
a great one. Eli Manning's just goofy. Yeah. But Peyton, Yeah,
I would say he's the guy who.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
Else does before I reset all the lines here Austin
and South Carolina?
Speaker 1 (50:11):
What up Boston?
Speaker 3 (50:12):
Your favorite lovable goofballs and sports and entertainment? It is
Gronk's birthday. I can't believe Gron's only thirty seven. That's
another part of it's like, I guess you you think, like, yeah,
Tom Brady's you feel like they're yeah, colleagues, they're friends, and.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
No, that's a great that's a great thought, Rich, because
it surprised me too. I double checked it and double
checked his birthday, and I'm like, thirty seven. That can't
be right.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
I mean he looks great, but just based on if
Tom Brady, you know, retired at forty five, I'm like,
and he's been out of the game a few years,
Gronk's got to be like forty right, No, thirty seven.
Speaker 4 (50:41):
What'd you have for us in Boston?
Speaker 11 (50:43):
Well, it has the birthday, Gronk.
Speaker 14 (50:45):
I didn't know that here, And yeah, it's definitely perfect
for this category. I got two Philly legends and then
also go birds, but I got the two Jordan's Jordan
Davis and Jordan Malatta. Just they fit the category and
I think they're singing voice is here just match out
how much they are fun as well too.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
So.
Speaker 11 (51:04):
But thanks guys, Thank you.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
Man, Thank you buddy. He made me think of like music.
Is there anyone in music that goes into this category
or all musicians? Jack School, Jack, you go, yeah, that's
a good one, Rich, I love I redeem myself. Yeah,
just when I thought you're gonna give another wild and
crazy answer, you say, Jack Black and totally redeem yourself.
Speaker 1 (51:25):
Thank God's move on.
Speaker 4 (51:28):
Yeah, we get rich there, I got one and you
met him, biz Marquee, the late great Oh the.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
Biz Yeah, the late great bis Marquee, so lovable. He
taught us a valuable lesson. It's never just a friend.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
Cavino and Rich here on the East Side, ready to
bite into a Taylor Ham sangwich tomorrow. Probably getting some
pizza tonight, you lucky Doug, Yeah, buddy, So that's.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Never part about visiting New York or New Jersey. Honestly,
like I could say family and friends, but honestly, pizza
and bagel.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
So yeah, I'll probably get some Taylorham on a bagel
Manyana Taylor Ham, egg and cheese, salt, pepper, ketchup show
off yep, And we will get to one phone call
now to wrap up when old school Old School in
fifty ye's and then we got to talk about what
happened at the game last night.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
All right, we're talking a little basketball.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
Actually couldn't hold their lead, Yeah exactly, but something else
though right now, maybe affected it.
Speaker 4 (52:27):
Let's wrap up old School with Ross. He is driving
to Connecticut right now, Yo, Ross the Boss, what's up?
Speaker 12 (52:32):
Man, not much, just driving here, and I wanted to
time in on the comical duos in sports. I couldn't
believe nobody mentioned Elvis Andros and Adrian Beltrae when they
were with the Rangers, all the stuff they were doing,
phantom catches, running the outfield, of boy tags, moving on
deck circles, getting thrown out of playoff games.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
We're on the same brain wave, prow. You should join
our game on Fridays, because I did say that.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
Yeah, I'll be honest, I'll try.
Speaker 3 (53:00):
I've watched compilations of those two and you know when
people have fun playing sports, that reminds you, Oh yeah,
it's a kid's game.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
We're just We're just we come on, let's have fun.
Guess for sure, goofball? You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
I think it's safe to say when it comes to
lovable goofballs and tribute to Ron Gragkowski's birthday, I say
most of our show are lovable goofballs on this show.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
Yeah, I'll be honest, that's true.
Speaker 3 (53:23):
Now, Danny, I know you say he has the most
punchable face in baseball, but there is a side of
Machado that is a little fun.
Speaker 4 (53:29):
Yeah, I've never seen it.
Speaker 3 (53:31):
Okay, I've seen Come on, I've seen Manny Machado seem
to have some fun along the way.
Speaker 4 (53:37):
He might have a silly bone, but you still want
to punch it.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
Yeah, okay, that's fair. I'll give you.
Speaker 4 (53:41):
What about keyk Hernandez he's silly and yeah he's very goofy, goofy.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
Yoh co oh see. I feel like I'm not nailing
this category, so I don't like taking chances.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
But you should have just quit. You should have just
dropped your headset Rich crack at the back.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
Why don't you pretend like someone else said it at the.
Speaker 4 (54:00):
End of last segment, Rich, remember the really good answer
you had.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
I don't remember any you don't even remember. Yeah, I
think Rich is ready for the weekend. What about Roger
McDowell and his hot foots back in the day?
Speaker 4 (54:11):
Oh yeah, oh funny, Yeah, come on, hotfoot He was
on the air with Stu Gotts a few weeks back
and Roger mcdalls, Yeah, that was cool. It was a
good interview.
Speaker 1 (54:22):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
So that's old school and fifty hits. We do that
every Thursday, getting you involved, and we want to thank you.
Fox Sports Radio Nation. We're Cavino and Rich and yesterday
the Pistons fell short. You heard Danny g Calves are
up three to two one seventeen one thirteen. But the
side story there, aside from the Pistons sort of losing,
(54:42):
it was the celebrities on site. And you know, aside
from the story, it was cool to see all the
New York celebrities on the road with the team.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
That was pretty awesome.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
I thought it was cool to the Met Gala was
a couple of weeks ago, and that had nothing to
do with one Soto by the way, nothing else, nothing
to do with Boba Schet, but the knight of the
Met Gala. I thought it was cool that Timothy Shallomey said, nah,
I'm going to the Knicks game because you know, a
lot of Knicks fans are die hard and this is
the closest they have felt in a long time to
something possible.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
And that's part of the playoffs and part of the NBA.
When it comes to you know, court side, it's a
big deal. And last night, if you follow social media trends,
and tonight we're all going to follow that. As the
NFL schedule drops, we're gonna see how many Rabel Easter Eggs,
verbel sneak disses are on these videos. Last night you
kept seeing oh Man, Eminem and Fitty sent Or court
(55:35):
side for Detroit represent that's pretty cool. And they were
there looking like nothing goofy about them. Rinch right, like
Eminem looking hard every second even though he's like he
leans humorous, he always looks mad. Right, So they're there
and he got their game faces on, and based on that,
pistons fall short. We're wondering, like, do you think sometimes
(55:56):
that's sort of a sort of a subconscious distraction because
these are.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
Young men on the court.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
You can't act like they're not fans and they're not human.
And it makes me think immediately of your boy, Joe
Montana Rich like the famous story of the forty nine ers,
because I feel like that proves like there's something more
to the fact that you can't ignore these celebrity faces
right there.
Speaker 1 (56:21):
I mean Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (56:22):
The story is before the famous drive when Montana led
the team down ninety plus yards or a game winning
touchdown to loosen up the offensive line who seemed still tight,
and they're playing in a super Bowl. He pointed out
John Candy in the stands and hey, the let just
pointing out John Candy and just giving that team a
(56:42):
little bit of levity. They're saying, loosened up the team
for that game winning drive because there is something to
be said about, Hey, they're athletes, but they're still fascinated
by celebrity a little bit.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
I can't we're not M and M and fifty ten,
but we're just saying, like, could it be subconsciously that
they played a little tighter because you know, they're super
famous idols and and people they look up to, and
those famous faces are right there. So that's all like subconsciously.
And here's another thing, right, here's another like example of
what we're getting at Rich and I have a theory
(57:14):
that And again, we live in La so keep that
in mind.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
We live in Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
You're let's say you're at a local restaurant, nothing fancy,
but a random celebrity walks in.
Speaker 11 (57:25):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (57:25):
Let's say let's say you're you're at in and out
Burger and you're just Jared and all of a sudden,
Jerry O'Connell's there and he's ordering a medal.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
You're gonna pretend like you don't notice.
Speaker 2 (57:38):
Animal by the way animal style, like, it doesn't even matter,
it matter the level of celebrity. You're gonna notice that
his famous face is biting into an animal style burger
and you can be like, yo, man, check about is
that you're gonna tell your buddy like yo, do look, look, look, look,
but don't make it obvious. Cherry O'Connell right there, So
you're gonna tell me these NBA guys.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
Don't care at all when you sit near a celebrity,
no matter how, no matter how used to it you
are or not, it still will throw off your meal.
I remember you telling me a story that you and
your daughter had breakfast at a table right next to
Howie Mandel, and the whole time it's like, yeah, how
we Mendeal's right next.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
How are we going to pretend that his bald head
wasn't sitting right next to us the entire time? Our video,
our videograph, my breakfast game. No, but it was hard
to ignore our video.
Speaker 3 (58:23):
Guy spot and I've have a couple of these stories
just by pure coincidence. We were in Vegas once and
I think you dipped out or something, but we had
dinner and we had sat at a table right next
to Darius Rucker, Hoody and the Blowfish, and if you
are literally the next table the whole dinner, you're sort
of just like, yeah, it's hard to ignore the fact
that Hoodie's right next to us. Or the other time
(58:47):
we were at a popular spot in La called Craigs
and Angeline and Joe Lee was like two tables away,
and the whole time you're like, how do you eat
with Angelina.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
Joee ten feet from you and not at least peek
over every so often? Right?
Speaker 2 (59:00):
Have to like you're concentrating on your bites and on
your chewing the way you should so based on that theory,
no matter how cool you are and how used to
it you are, when you got these super famous faces
like Eminem and Fitty sent you know, I'm not saying
it's the reason, but I'm saying, I'm saying it's a chance.
(59:20):
I'm stand I'm saying I understand.
Speaker 1 (59:23):
Right, yeah, no doubt, no doubt. And listen, think about you.
You you would notice in high school sports if your
girlfriend and or friend showed up, or like your parents,
if your uncle came to a game, you'd be like, oh,
my uncle's here.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
You know how many kids play great and their dad
shows up and all of a sudden they strike out.
Speaker 1 (59:42):
It happens because there, you play a little tighter and
these guys are above it.
Speaker 3 (59:47):
You could say that, but I'm saying, even if it's
one percent subconscious, there's probably a feeling of like, yeah,
look who's court side, dude, it's you know, it's fagetting them.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
And then completely off because they're superstars in their own right,
they are, Danny.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
What are your thoughts, man, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:00:02):
Bring bring some clarity, Iowa, Sam, because you are not
enamored by celebrity at all, Sam, do you think these
guys get flustered at all?
Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
Do you wait, which guys NBA players any like celebrities?
I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Sam.
Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
If you were there and and Caitlin Clark sat right
there just to watch you press buttons, you think you'd
be on your a game.
Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
Probably not, dude, when.
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
Our boss, when our boss swings by once in a
while with a client or his family or something. I
even though I'm a little like, oh, sit up a
little straighter in the scene.
Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
Step their game up, you just don't want to try
too hard like.
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
But dude, even if you're stepping your game up right,
That could take you out of your game.
Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
Yeah, it can mess with your head, It can mess
you up. I remember we did like a charity basketball
game in southern California, and you guys know the singer Maya,
Yeah aged like fine wine. She was one of the
celebrities there, and she was sitting courtside, and me and
the other DJs we tried to show off way too
much in front of her, and I damn near pulled
(01:01:07):
my hammy and I remember kind of limping thinking, what
did I just do? What an idiot?
Speaker 7 (01:01:12):
It's getting It's called getting too cute. You know, you're
just just focus on your job and do your job well.
But you're getting too fancy, too cute. You mess something up.
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
Hey, guys, Danny's mindset though, If Danny's like, man, if
I hit this three, I might have a shot.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
What's out by Love.
Speaker 9 (01:01:26):
This is a one hundred percent true story. This was
about maybe two thousand and seven, two thousand and eight.
Holly Berry was at a Lakers game sitting behind one
of the baskets. After the game, I broke down the
free throw shooting by both teams by Baskets at the
(01:01:46):
non halle Berry end. The teams combined to shoot eighty
one percent at the halle Berry end fifty two percent.
I remember I remember asking lamar Odom about this after
the game and he.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Was like, that's amazing.
Speaker 9 (01:02:01):
Yeah, Miss Barry is a very very very wonderful lady.
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
You can't take your eyes off of them.
Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
So I'm not saying that, but look, and certain faces
are way more famous, like Rich and I actually Rich
wasn't there. There's the one funny story. Rich wasn't there.
Me and Spott went to a party in La and
the most famous face I've ever seen showed up to
that party. And guys, I know this sounds crazy, but
it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
To us too. Okay, Ian walks in Sylvester still alone
to this party. It was the most famous face we've
ever seen.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
You think the rest of the night, we could we
can continue partying, like his famous face wasn't there in
the corner of the entire time. So if you're a
young NBA player and Fitty sent and M and M
right there mean mugging everybody, you're gonna say it has
no effect, no effect, I mean it could have no
conscious effect, but no contract.
Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Like like you I remember Covino, you always jokingly tell
the story about how you're like Hi, school sweetheart's family
saw you at the batting cage once and you missed
every ball.
Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
Everyone you want.
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
And by the way, if there was nothing to it, right,
you wouldn't be seeing all over social media and TMZ
Sports that M and M showed up and he was
court side because it is a big deal.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
He's a big star, of course, and there's that mutual
respect between musicians.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
Do you think they want to suck in front of
those guys? They don't want to suck in front of anybody,
but they definitely don't want to suck in front of them.
Speaker 4 (01:03:28):
Can I ask you guys one last quick question before
we get to the update here? How about if one
of your enemies and I know Rich, everybody loves you
except like one or two guys on the whole planet, right, yeah, exactly.
We talked about that the other day. Rich is a
very lovable radio host, but Lebron James, he has a
lot of haters, including NBA's own villain, Dylan Brooks, who
(01:03:49):
sat courtside at the game where Lebron and the Lakers
got swept Ooh, and he you. The viral video has
been going around to him chuckling with his gold teeth
and his So if your enemy was sitting courtside, would
that throw you off?
Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
Oh that's a good question, I say A little bit
that could be even worse.
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
Like like if steven A, like if remember like steven
A and Lebron had that be for a minute and
it was like, ooh it is Lebron.
Speaker 4 (01:04:14):
Like something like that want to make an enemy out
of me?
Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
I were able to.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Block it out, block that out better than others and
they're in the moment. But again we're talking like that
one percent, Like Rich said, subconsciously, I.
Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
Think Lebron should have had a turnover where he passed
the ball right into Brooks's face.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
It's uh, it sounds silly and to some you might say,
what are these idiots talking about? But even if it's
like one percent subconscious, if a young NBA star sees
a rapper, a diva, I don't know, if like a
Cardi b or someone's like front row, Kim Kardashian's or
some generous cakes or something that you don't think there's
a little bit where it's like, oh, what's going on.
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
If you think if Hillary Duff was there, they you know,
wouldn't be distracted. Now tomorrow, all we get you ready
for the weekend brainwave, of course giving away some seeing
our prizes. If you're on our brain wave, it's multiple choice,
is fun, it's interactive, and of course weekend hobnobbing living
for the weekend. We get you ready with the stuff
(01:05:18):
you need to watch in all the sports and entertainment.
We do it every Friday and tonight tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
Is you a night bro? I can't wait? Man, work
a couple of nights.
Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
What are we an hour and ten minutes away from
the release, the great NFL release. And it has nothing
to do with the massage Parlors, has nothing to do
with the Justin Tucker.
Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
Yeah, okay, Robert.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Now there's also there's also a game five and a
Game six in the NHL Canadians at the Sabers. That's
a Game five, tied up to two. In the Vegas
Golden Nights at the Ducks in Anaheim. That's Game six,
Vegas looking to close out there, leading three to two.
Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
Das Quick's I so perfect though, because we don't have
NBA until tomorrow, and no Yankees for me today, so
I'm excited about it. We'll be talking about it tomorrow
as well, Cavino and Rich. I'm live in Jersey, everybody
else on the West side and speaking of East Coast.
As a Yankees fan, I saw a story.
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
About Carl Pavano, now a pitcher man. He was, well,
I would say he's a very good pitcher, Carl Pravano,
very good picture, just not for your Yankees. I looked
at his stats and I was like, Carl Pravano had
a couple of really good years, but none of those
were for the Yankees.
Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
He was at best pedestrians as a Yank. But then again,
you know, well, now they're calling him hot Carl Pavano. Oh,
I don't know if you know what he did.
Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
But according to the New York Sports the New York
Post Sports section, more sordid details have come to light
in the post divorce prenuptial agreement. Who want pren up?
Carl want pren up? In the prenup agreement drama for
the former Yankee pitch and his ex wife.
Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
Get this allegedly come on.
Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
Allegedly, according to the stories, you know, things get ugly.
Come on, He soiled her sheets and was was going
to the bathroom number one in her shampoo bottles.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
That's what the story is. I'm not kidding you. She's
makings in this.
Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
I'm just saying, come on, Carl, I mean, let's just
all hope it's not true. Okay, don't be on eighteen
games in four. Come on, take the high road always,
everybody and join us tomorrow. Covino and Rich read it.
There you baby, see you in the Promised Land.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
Goodbye.
Speaker 4 (01:07:38):
Not the shampoo
