(00:01):
You're listening to Bill Handle on demandfrom KFI AM six forty. You are
listening to the Bill Handle Show inVenezuela. Their prisons have been emptied into
the United States. They're criminals anddrug dealers have been taken out of the
(00:24):
cities and brought into the United States. And that's you are watching and listening
to the longest SNL live show onrecord. This is an entire show with
no commercials. This is former PresidentTrump at his press conference that started what
(00:44):
almost forty minutes ago? Amy,do we have a time when it actually
started. I think it was beforeeight o'clock, right, it was right
after eight o'clock. Okay, Sohe's now at a little over thirty five
minutes, no, thirty eight minutes, scording to my clock. And you
know that you said that we weretalking if he had just done like three
or five minutes, made a coupleof points and got out. He made
(01:06):
one point a minute ago. Hesaid that. You know, the Biden
camp is saying, oh, allthose Mega people are so bad. He
goes, Mega means make America greatagain, and that's all I want to
do. That's all it is.That is a strong line, that is
a strong line. I mean, whether you agree with him or not,
that's a strong line. I mean, bring him up, cono, bring
(01:27):
him up again. It's a great, great honor. We're gonna We're gonna
do what I have to do.I'm going to do it. And the
support has been That's why I mentionedhere's what's going on. I mean,
as we were just talking about andwe're just talking about communication here. We're
not talking about politics. We're justtalking about broadcasting effect, which of course
(01:51):
Amy knows is a newsperson and I'vebeen broadcasting for a while. And that
is making the point as a point, making it short, not credible.
It's a different issue, making itshort to the point. And that's it.
You're done, you walk off.And I don't think he's doing himself
(02:13):
any favors. Fox is still coveringthis wall to wall without any kind Oh
there he is. He just finishedright now. I can't recap this because
he went all over the place this. I don't even know what to say.
Of course, he's getting applause likecrazy from the people that are there.
(02:34):
But this is why they have teleprompters. Yeah, and Trump doesn't speak
on the teleprompter, and he likewe were talking about. He made some
points during it, but then hekept just flying off the handle and getting
off on these tangents and going back, and then he'd come back to his
point, and then he'd fly offagain and get completely off track and repeat
himself over and over again. Anda lot of what he said very broad
(02:58):
strokes. And it's not it's morenuanced than that. Life is more nuanced,
you know. For example, it'sa business records falsified, and he
explained what falsification and business records are, which, by the way, he
was wrong on that, and talkedabout Michael Cohen and just went through and
interpreting the law in a way thatmade no sense. For example, the
(03:20):
should have never been brought. Okay, I can see that argument, because
it's a misdemeanor at worst. No, the felony is falsification and business records
for the purpose of interfering with theelection. That's what made it a crime.
Okay, whether you believe that ornot. That's what happened in court.
And we're sort of missed the pointof a lot of this. But
(03:45):
then again, I guess that's whatyou do as a politician. You don't
go into the minutia you want todo broad strokes. If you listen to
any part of this, you're gonnahear a lot of babbling within there his
points which he has made and thebottom line, and obviously I disagree with
everything, but it was a riggedIt was rigged. I mean, I
(04:06):
love the fact that it was droppedby every federal court. There was no
case to the feds yet Joe Biden, who said the head of the federal
courts ordered the state court to prosecutehim, of which Biden has no jurisdiction
at all, and so he,I guess, told the Feds to drop
(04:28):
it, but then called the stateof which he can't do, and told
them to go ahead and try him. See a lot of it made.
It makes no sense, but youknow, again, this is politics,
and to many people politics, ifyou love your guy or you love your
gal, then there's no wrong. You're gonna hear tonight, for example,
(04:53):
Fox is You're gonna hear not somuch the newspeople that are now, but
you are going to hear the commentatorsliterally say, this was the most brilliant
speech that he has ever given. The American people now understand in many ways
and this is going to cause evenmore support. By the way, that
might be true. Certainly the donationshave exploded. The website crashed last night.
(05:16):
Yeah, back to the conviction. There was so many donations that were
coming in. And here is thepolitical spin on this on both sides.
Biden camp is obviously going to usethis like crazy, which I think is
a mistake. My opponent is aconvicted felon. My opponent is a convicted
felon. I got news for you. Everybody knows that. And if the
(05:39):
argument is my opponent is convicted felonand underneath that people believe that he was
wrongly a convicted felon, then thisguy becomes Nelson Mandela being in jail for
twenty seven years wrongly. And Idon't know if the Biden camp quite understands
that. I mean here, ifI were a Trump advisor, I would
(06:04):
say, you go out there anduse this as a badge of honor and
then walk out and say this iswhat the Biden administration and the Democrats are
all about. Thank you. Now, let's talk policy. But we'll see.
I can't wait to see the fallouton this. I really can't.
(06:25):
By the way, I'm not evengonna watch CNN or MSNBC. I know
what they're gonna say. I'm goingto be watching Fox because of the entertainment
factor. I want to see thedefense of this speech. That one I
want to see. I have togive Amy the credit on this one.
She came in and said, thiswas a Seinfeld episode, another version of
(06:48):
Festivus for the rest of us,the airing of grievances. Kudos to you,
Amy, very strong. Now let'sdo this. There is actually other
news around the world, so letme tell you a little bit about that
with this week's World in Review.Living under a rock. Well, here's
(07:10):
what you've missed, piping hot offthe newswires from around the corner to around
the world. This is this week'sWorld in Review. Oh yeah, and
there actually is other news, althoughyou would think about it this morning.
So a quick recap. Former PresidentTrump spent thirty five minutes airing every grievance
(07:33):
he's ever had. But I'll tellyou the news, and this one just
gives us an idea of his popularity. And that is within six hours after
the verdict yesterday, almost thirty fivemillion dollars was reached. I don't know
if that's ever happened before. Thirtyfour point eight million dollars, as reported
(07:56):
by Fox, came into the presidentialcampaign within six hours after the verdict.
I mean that is extraordinary, andthat gives you idea of the power of
this man, certainly within the RepublicanParty. But let's talk a little bit
about what's going on out there. In addition to that, a little international
news that we have looked at andwhere is this? I just had it
(08:20):
here, Okay, here we go, and that is that horrific landslide last
week Papula, New Guinea. Nowit looks like two thousand people were buried.
I mean that is just completely crazyin that mountainous region on This happened
actually last Friday, but we startedreporting on it Monday, and it was
(08:41):
just well, an entire village gotburied. Pope Francis I said earlier about
Pope Francis, right, mister liberalor the Pope, the most liberal pope
out there. He's not. It'snot. I mean, he looks like
it. He comes off substance isthe same. It's being reported that he
allegedly told the Allian bishops and aprivate meeting not to permit gay men to
(09:03):
train for the priesthood. No shocker. And then there was a story that
happened in Gaza, and this oneturned the table in many ways. There
was an air attack in Gaza ata refugee camp. This is after Israel
was told these people move, move, move, move, and there's some
Palestinians that have moved seven or eighttimes per instructions by Israel saying we're going
(09:28):
to bomb that place, get outof here, and then the next place
they go to that's bombed. Well, there was a building that was hit
with an air attack. Forty fivepeople dead, over two hundred wounded,
and the building literally blew up andthey were going after two Hamas leaders.
They got them. Now, thequestion is was that building targeted. Israel
is saying absolutely not. It wasan ammunition dump that exploded. I must
(09:52):
tell you. If you look atthe video, and according to Israel and
the United States, they used thesmallest bomb that the United States provides to
Israel, it looked like that itwas attacked by five massive bombs. The
explosion was so great and Israel wassaying, we hit it and it was
(10:15):
the ammunition dump. So we'll seeon that one. But it doesn't really
matter. And at the same timePresident Biden said right after that that he
is not altering his policy towards Israel. The red line has not been crossed.
And then on a political slash judicialfront, Samuel Alito, probably the
(10:37):
most conservative judge on the Supreme CourtJustice him and Claris Thomas are in a
race, as he was more conservative. He had or at his house two
flags were flown. One is twohouses, one beach house, one house
in Washington. The flag upside downdistressed signal in Washington at the beach house,
(10:58):
a flag that was used during revolutionoutionary war times that is said that
the MAGA people picked up and usedduring the insurrection. It's just become part
of MAGA, and that is thatwas troubling, and he was asked to
recuse himself. Democratic lawmakers did andhe wrote a letter saying, no chance,
I am not recusing myself. That'snot enough. So what a week
(11:22):
it's been. What a week ithas been. And I'm sure we're going
to hear today about Trump's speech wenton. I mean, that is the
news that just ended a few minutesago. So we'll catch you tomorrow.
No, we're back on Monday.Sorry about that. Tomorrow is Handle on
the Law from eight o'clock to eleveno'clock and then Neil with the Fork Report
(11:45):
from two to five, which Inever miss. I'm usually eating while I'm
listening to the show. Okay, back on Monday with this show five Am
