listening to the bill Handle show TeamZuck Pizza up there, and it is
KFI AM six forty bill Handle hereon a footy Friday morning, June fourteenth,
(00:24):
and a couple things are going on. Well, actually, you know,
I'm going to do it all onthe World in Review because all the
big stories I try to cover. So how's that you want to have a
World in review, whether the trendingstories? You get to wait half an
hour? Okay, how's that fora tease? Okay, It's time for
Foody Friday with Neil tomorrow Saturday, two to five pm. He's the host
(00:49):
of the Fork Report. He doesall things food with us his social address
at Fork Reporter. All right,Neil, I want you to weigh in
real Okay, okay, hang on, okay, I am yeah, that's
very strong. That's good. Allright. You go to Costco, which
obviously I do a lot, andthey have that and it's fair to say,
(01:11):
if not world famous, certainly nationallyfamous hot dog for a dollar fifty,
it's still the best deal hot dogMinnesota, hot Dog Annesota for a
buck fifty, which has been aroundsince the eighties and it's still a dollar
fifty. They will never ever lowerthe price as far as the CEO is
called. They'll change the dog.Yeah, they did change the dog.
Used to be Hebrew National and nowit's I don't know, you know whatever
(01:34):
big parts they use. But it'sstill good stuff. In any case,
you go to those stations because there'sso many people that buy them and that
that you go to those condiment thecondiment station. Sure, and you have
mustard, and you have you gotrelish, and you have onions. Didn't
(01:55):
they take it away during the pandemic. They may have. I don't remember
because I thought recently. But there'sso much that they have. It's actually
a crank device on a big boxfull of it and full of the condiments,
and you crank it and then itcomes out. You know what they
don't have as mayonnaise and neil. Why wouldn't they have mayonnaise, And maybe
(02:15):
they should because this is not alot of people. Well people don't think
about mayo on a hot dog. However, you know, you do have
those three squeeze bottles three people,no, the squeeze, the squeeze bottles.
You have a red one, ayellow one, and a white one.
(02:38):
There are people I like mayo ona hot dog. I like ketchup
on a hot dog too, Andpeople are like you, if you're over
seven years old, you shouldn't putBut there's certain things that Mary Nicely is.
I like all three on a hotdog too. But they've found out
that, according to the survey conductedby the National hot Dog and Sausage Council
(03:00):
of North America MEAN Institute, thatnineteen twenty percent of Americans throw a little
mayo on their glizzies. I see, I didn't know that because I'm not
a big hot dog eater. I'mnot a big fan of hot dogs.
But you seed it for the priceat Costco. Yeah, pretty much.
That's my lunch. That's Clark Howard'sfavorite lunch too. By the way,
(03:20):
I love I love a good Ihad hot dogs last night. But the
point of mayo is, I've neveractually seen anybody put mayo on a hot
dog. And to your point, you know, you go in your refrigerator
and you've got those squeeze bottles ofketchup, mustard mayo, but they're not
necessarily to be used the time. What happens to you have insulin next to
(03:42):
that? If you're a diabetic,do you put that on your hot dog?
Sure? If you want to cutdown on her blood sugar during depending
on what you're eating. Now,the point is a great hot dog that
is filled with insulin. Yeah,if that's just not an American thing,
you go for example, you mayois about as American, is he?
Yeah, it's not an American thingin terms of I don't see it.
It's not here's Relishou's not onions.Mustard is the big one, isn't it?
(04:06):
Yeahs is the end all be all. But you know what's interesting is
maybe it's shame. I don't know, but if I put mao on a
hot dog, I don't tend toput it on the top of the hot
dog. I tend to put iton the bot ah everything else. Yeah,
that's that's hot dodge. Someone outthere just got that joke. By
the way, anyways, what hotdog shaming. But in terms of mayo,
(04:29):
for example, we French fries andwe had lunch the other day and
ordered fries. And with the firstthing you did, I wont ketchup and
you put ketchup and you use ketchup. But in some countries or some places
go it's gonna me mayo. Yeah, you go to Holland, uh and
you ask for ketchup for your fries, they'll think you're out of your mind.
(04:51):
They really will. It's only mayonnaise, that's their thing. Other places
it's insulin. But that's the onlycountries that have a little eggs, a
little bit of vinegar, probably oil. It's an emulsion, you know.
It's it's really not that odd toput on a hot dog or any other
(05:11):
I mean, you get it on, you'd get it on a burger.
You'd put mayo on a burger.Thousand Nineland dressing. Yeah, oh,
I'm a big fan of thousand Isbecause you know, you're thinking of your
in and out burger. It's fantastic. They have that style as well.
But it seems that more I thinkpeople are freaked out that almost twenty percent.
(05:31):
Yeah, I think that's what threwthem off. How many Well,
let me ask you, we alldo it in the closet. Yes,
how many people actually put insulin ontheir dogs? I'm just milking that one
way too full. They should putit into the mayo and then get it
all together. All right, guys, that's enough of that. We've milt
that one to death. Neil.Whatever anybody can come up with, there
(05:55):
is some new food item, somenew gizmo gadget that fast food places come
up with. They kind of haveto today, yeah, today, because
with the advent of social media, you know, you need something that's colorful,
that you need something bright, youneed something that makes people go hmm
and want to try it and thenthey post pictures. So whether it's good
(06:18):
or not is who knows. Butseven to eleven does this as well.
They jump on these different bandwagons. This one happens to be for the summer.
It's a new drumstick. We allknow and love the traditional handheld ice
cream with the sugar cone and it'sgot chocolate in the bottom and the vanilla
(06:39):
ice cream with chocolate on top. This is the soft serve. No,
this is the typical drumstick that youeat like the ice cream. Yeah,
I know, I understand that. But instead what they have is instead of
the chocolate that's dripped all over thetop, they have this blue do Rasz
(07:00):
sauce, which is like slurpy. It's like the flavor of the slurpy,
the thing that's ice on vanilla icecream. Yeah on vanilla ice cream.
Sounds disgusting, and it's it soundsto get so disgusting. It is for
a limited time. It'll be throughoutthe summer, but this is there.
They've partnered with the folks from Drumstickto make this special old exclusively at seven
(07:25):
elevens Speedway and stripe locations nationwide.I don't think we have speedway and stripes
here, but we do, ofcourse have seven elevens. I think a
lot of it. I don't knowif you're into trying all this new stuff.
Some of it I am, becauseI've been surprised at times. And
if I can kind of what wecall in the show mind to taste it,
if I can take those things andin my mind go that sounds interesting,
(07:48):
then you know, I'll give ita shot. Last night I was
at BJS, one of my favoriteplaces, and BJ's is great. Yeah,
it is great, and I thatI was with my daughters and my
and they. Part of the dinnerwas a pazuki. Oh yeah. And
for those of you that don't knowwhat a perzuki is, first, well,
it is not a body part that'sfor starters to look at the fell
(08:13):
or what up. But it's justgonna get worse. Okay, So the
pazuki is a big chocolate chip.It's not even a cookie. It's a
pizza cookie. Yeah, it's azuki. It's a pizza cookie. You
never knew that, did you?I never knew that. Yeah, I
never could what You're right, I'mcookie the size of a pizza. Wow,
(08:35):
served like a pizza and a bigjust half a gallon of an ice
cream I love. But that's beengoing on forever. That's traditional. That's
something uh you know, it's comfortfood. These items slurpy drumsteak, ice
cream. Is that something that actuallysells and it sells big and it's a
real revenue issue and it's a profitmark a profit issue or is it just
(09:00):
sheer pr I can't stop thinking aboutBJ's. Oh yeah, BJ's pizza with
a pazuki. Maybe a flight ofthree pazuki's AnyWho. It's a publicity stunt,
yes, because that's why they're limitedtime. If they were, if
they came out and they were fantastic, then I think people would get them
forever. But imagine this. Youthink of a slurpie that's similar to like
(09:31):
it's it's it's blended, a blendeddrink without alcohol. Well yes, but
but imagine this. It's kind oflike sherbert sort of right. You know,
it's more icy, less creamy. But think about a fifty to fifty
bar. You've got the creamy iceof an all ice cream up against that
kind of Sherberty or icy orange.Right. Well, imagine that with this
(09:54):
particular flavor, which is like blueberryor something. So you put those together,
it may I think it actually probablytastes pretty darn good. Let me
go one more before we leave.By Denmark recalling Korea noodles. I'd like
Korea noodles. What's going on?This is obviously this is a health issue.
Well they say it's a health issue, but Denmark recalls the spicy South
(10:18):
Korean noodles. They say it's healthconcerns, but really it's because they're just
too hot. Why would they recallthem? So just people just like spicy
stuff, well, flaming hot Tiketosthat Cheetos that are on the down the
street. We're down the hall. They say it's a risk of acute poisoning.
(10:41):
Now I don't know what's cute aboutpoisoning, but apparently, yeah,
it's this. So the noodles aremade with this spiciness, right, They're
known for the spiciness. And theDanish Dutch people are saying that this is
us it's it's got too much capsaicand they are also concerned about uh,
(11:07):
you know, neurotoxins and it's ahealth hazard not only to children and teenagers,
but also to animals if animals gota hold of it. And here
I have a question. Just notpart of their culture, it is part
of ours. You know. They'redoing sushi now with those those fiery cheetos
crushed up on top, so youknow, but that's that actually sounds pret
(11:31):
nanna. Yeah, very America. We go to restaurants, I mean the
So American I starting with California rolesin a sushi place and you wonder why
we've got male on a hot Yeah, I go figure and I have a
I want to end or what notend? Maybe we have a couple of
minutes more. But uh, Neil, you're a food expert. No I'm
not. I'm a food enthusiast though. Okay, what what do the Danes
called danishes they they call them usis. By the way, that's not
(11:58):
a trick question. I don't knowthe sort of that. I do know
what the Chinese people call Chinese food. They call it food. What do
you call it when you try andtalk somebody down in price? Wow,
Neil, I'm asking you bartering, negotiating. You know, this is the
(12:22):
stuff we normally do during breaks, and now we're moving it towards the show.
And I don't know if this isworking or not. And by the
way, if anybody knows that,I have no idea what the Danish called
Danish pastries. Let me ask this. We'll cookie. Hey, Siri,
what do the Danish call Danish pastries? Okay, Wiener broad it's called we
(12:48):
have Wiener Broad's here. There's acalled trans where I come from. You're
talking. We're done, We're done. All right, guys. We have
the last half hour of the show, and we ended with this week's World
in Review, Living under a Rock. Well, here's what you've missed,
(13:09):
piping hotch off the newswires from aroundthe corner to around that world. This
is this week's world in review, and we start with what just happened this
morning? Just a little while ago, Supreme Court came down with the decision,
and this has to do with bumpstocks. Those devices that go on
(13:33):
to us go on to a semiautomatic assault weapon, and what they do
is make them virtually make them automatic, but they don't. Neil and I
did a whole thing this morning onit, and Donald Trump put that into
place, and of course lawsuit fromthe gun lobby, and it turned out
that the court said that band isno good. That now you can buy
(13:58):
bump stocks, and there there's awhole issue that Neil and I talked about
is what bump stocks actually do.But the Court is in this case going
down and extending Second Amendment rights, and the gun folks are thrilled to death.
Also this week earlier four hostages wererescued in that Israeli operation. Scores
(14:20):
of Palestinians were killed over two hundredand well, actually the wlatest figure two
hundred and seventy four Palestinians were killed, seven hundred injured. And that was
probably the deadliest one strike of abuilding that has occurred. Now. I
want to point something out, andI took a picture this morning of a
newspaper that is well, I goingto tell you where it came from.
(14:45):
But this has to do. Thisis the Jerusalem Post. Let me have
that paper, and if you couldhand that to me. And so it
is a paper, and the greenLight. Jerusalem Post, by the way,
is paper. Obviously why it's calledthe Jerusalem Post. It's an Israeli
paper. And the headline says IDFgets green light to attack Hamas, IDF
(15:09):
being the Israeli Defense Forces, andit talks about rocket barrage hits from Kareem
Shalom to Ashkalon, the cities thatwere hit by rockets, and so,
okay, you know, the IDEFgets a green light to attack Hamas.
Thursday December twenty five, two thousandand eight is the date of this newspaper.
(15:33):
And I put it up on Instagram, and that gives you an idea
of what's going on in Gaza. And as a matter of fact, here's
one and this has to do withthe hostages. We don't know how many
hostages are dead or not. Israelis rescuing some. By the way,
(15:54):
that rescue took weeks to plan.It was. It's pretty extraordinary. And
remember these Israelis. Whenever you talkabout Israelis, there are no militants on
the Hamas side. There are onlycivilians that are being killed. In Israel
just attacks civilian targets and goes afterpeople and doesn't fight anybody. Because there
(16:18):
are thirty seven thirty eight thousand Palestiniansdied have died, and Hamas doesn't differentiate
between militants and the innocent men andwomen and children, and neither does the
world as far as the international community. There are no militants. It's all
innocent civilians that have died. Andso at this point Israel has said,
(16:40):
we now know that X number ofhostages have been killed. Their bodies are
held by Hamas deep underground because theydon't have refrigeration. They're on electricity there,
but where it's cold and bodies it'slike a morgue. It's almost a
refrigerated facility. And that's how sickthey are. And they're holding bodies hostages
(17:03):
too, so the families the pressuretoo in the war. In the meantime,
a senior Hamas official has said inan interview, he has no idea,
no one has any idea of howmany of the hostages are still alive.
So when you're talking about the negotiationsto return the hostages. How many
We don't know how many are alive. Frankly, we don't know how many
(17:26):
there are. This is a seniorHamas official. Where do you negotiate on
that one? And by the way, that's believable. Why because there are
splinter groups in Hamas. It's notjust Hamas. There are other terrorist organizations
in Gaza, and they were partof the attack on October seventh. And
(17:48):
of course Hamas at this point isholding everything up. Israel's coming to the
table. Israel is actually coming tothe table, and Netigna, who officially
has said no, but the talksbehind the scenes are yes, Hamas new
complete total withdrawal. War has toend and then we'll talk about hostages.
Well, I mean, where doyou go with that? Even Anthony Blincoln,
(18:11):
who is our Secretary of State, has said that Hamas has to come.
We've got to stop this. Alsoright now in Italy, the G
seven Summit, the world's most powerfulthe seven economies, are convening for policy
discussions. A lot of it hasto do with Ukraine. A lot of
the discussion has to do with Ukraine, and it's Biden who is leading this
(18:36):
issue. Leading the move to backUkraine up and saying to Ukraine will always
be on your side, will alwaysbe there, and most of the world,
the G seven is firmly in hisfavor. The problem is how much
power do these people have. Theseare leaders of the G seven, all
of them democratically elected, clearly, all part of democracies, all of them
(18:57):
in deep political trouble. And whyis that? Because the world is turning
right Macron. Macron is in deeptrouble because what used to be a fringe
party lipins woman who is well conspiracytheories, complete nutcase. Her party has
(19:19):
just decimated the centrist party of Macrondecimated it. And he has to call
it, and he is. He'scalling a snap election to just put it
on the record and hopefully get themoderate parties in place, and because he's
got the biggest chance to win now, because they still hold the majority of
(19:41):
seats. But it's this far rightmoving into a position of real power and
real acceptance among the French people. It's scary. I mean it's not just
the right here, by the way, it's not the conspiracy idiots here who
are gaining power. I mean,it's all the Internet. I'm convinced of
(20:03):
that. I'm assuming the same thingin France too, where you know conspiracy
theorists. Let me think about this, those of us that are old enough
to have been around prior to theInternet having the kind of influence that it
does. You know, where youheard these people were these kind of crazy
people. They'd be on on thestreet corner with a bullhorn. That's where
(20:23):
they could be heard. And that'sit. But don't you think when people
get scared or nervous about things likecrime and unlike, they tend to or
war, they tend to get moreconservative. I don't know, not necessarily,
Not necessarily because you had do youwant to hugger in the White House
when they war? Well, duringWorld War during World War Two, they
(20:47):
certainly wanted to huger and they gotit. They had the most liberal president
up to that time that's ever been. So. Yeah, I think it
depends on the circumstances the time. They are liberals during World War Two,
are not liberals today? Well, you look at JFK and JFK is is
not a liberal by today's standard.He's a conservative. No, he's not
conservative, just moderate. He wouldbe a moderate, he'd be a Bill
(21:08):
Clinton. He'd be a Bill ClintonDemocrat, you know, not particularly left
wing, not particularly moderate. EvenObama was not particularly left wing all and
but as Trump particularly right wing.Uh yeah yeah, Trump is particularly right
now yeah win yeah yeah, Butwhatever whichever way the wind is blowing is
(21:33):
what he is. But you know, you're right, I mean, today
it's it's hard to define, youknow, you know, the only thing
you can define are the crazies. Those people you can define. They know,
they are engaged, they know exactlywhat they want. They are organized,
and they certainly do. On Tuesday, jury found Hunter Biden completely totally
(21:57):
guilty on all three fell Any guncharges that he faced, concluding that he
violated the law meant to prevent drugaddicts from owning firearms because he lied on
the form asking if he was usingdrugs during the time that he ordering that
(22:18):
moment when he was applying for theownership of a gun, which is a
federal form and he can't lie onit's signed the penalty of perjury. And
the jury said, yeah, helied. The defense was kind of interesting
because he wasn't using drugs at themoment he filled out the application. Therefore,
it's fair to say I'm not usingdrugs. Well that's a little problematic
(22:41):
because they brought out his own statementstatements from his book Texts, in which
he said I'm a crackhead. I'musing before and after and the jury said,
you know what, yeah, yeah, you were. And now it
gets interesting because this is when peopledo this, and there were some former
(23:04):
prosecutors, federal prosecutors say, whenyou have this kind of a violation,
it's usually it's usually some jail time. However, it is not that often
that you have someone who's never beenconvicted before of a crime, where the
weapon has never been used in acrime. And the entire the entire case
(23:29):
was did he lie or did henot lie? So now sentencing is coming
up, and the president was asked, while he was in Europe celebrating the
norm and the invasion, the presidentwas asked, will you pardon your son?
Nope, absolutely not. And acouple of days ago and there was
(23:51):
some talk about commuting his sentence.A commutation is it's not a pardon.
You get out of prison or youlower the prison set, but you still
convicted felon. You just do lessprison time or no prison time. And
so that was an open question. You know, he won't pardon his son,
(24:11):
but will he commute And the Presssecretary wouldn't answer that question. Well,
he was asked again yesterday and thePresident said, no, I will
not pardon him. I will notcommute the sentence. He is letting the
system do whatever it does. Andhe said he loved I thought they handled
it very well. You know, the President said, I love my son.
He's a better person. He's gonethrough some real issues, and I'm
(24:33):
not going to pardon him. He'sbasically he's a dad. His hard decision.
I mean, wouldn't you want topardon you one situation? I would?
I would. And now you havethe right wing and this is in
reference to former President Trump being convictedof those family charges in New York with
the Stormy Daniels case. And asyou know, the right wing is arguing
(24:57):
the weaponization of the justic Department andthe whole thing was rigged. And the
Justice Department is run by Biden, who ordered the judge to make it's his
decisions, ordered the case to bebrought forward because it's weaponization. Biden has
weaponized the Justice Department. I wantto hear how Biden has weaponized the Justice
(25:21):
Department to convict his son, tobring his son to trial. How's that
for weaponization? And I haven't heardmuch coming back on that one. And
by the way, that's one ofthe premises of Trump's sub Trump's platform is
I'm going to stop the weaponization ofthe Justice Department in the FBI, and
(25:45):
I'm only going to allow people whoare loyal to the Constitution to be in
the Justice Department and in the FBI. It's the winking and pointing in himself
when he says that was funny.Yeah, I guess. By the way,
Hunter Biden was asked about pump stocksand it was snorting off the back
of a gun. Okay, wellsaid, and that's how we're going to
end the show. I guess.Oh wait, Top up, Up Up
(26:07):
