Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
six forty.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I am six forty bill Handle here on a Friday morning,
and we still have another hour to go. I also
want to remind you Neil's show tomorrow from two to
five is going to be at Wendy's and Mission Viah.
I will join him and we are going to eat

(00:28):
like completely sloths and pigs, because that's what we do.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Well. They have great salads too.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
They do. Yeah, but food will be flying out of
our mouths for three full hours. Okay, it's time for
foody Friday. And that's what happens with Neil and me.
So before we get to the Costco story, I want
to get into the Tupperware story. Tupperware, of course everybody knows,

(00:55):
are those plastic storage containers that are made of plastic
that people buy because they are plastic, and Neil there's
a story orgulately.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
If you put spaghetti in them, once they turned, they
look like President Trump right afterwards. They just you can
never get that spaghetti sauce out. However, we've heard that
Tupperware obviously has been going through some issues because they've
been around forever. But you know, there's more brands on
the market, there's other options, but this story was interesting

(01:33):
as it looked at the first time in the eighty
year history of Tupperware. This past September, they launched something
called Wi La. It is Tupperware's glass line and it's
it hit the market and right before Thanksgiving. This is
kind of them going against Anchor, Hockey or Pyrex or

(01:55):
those types of things. But they have these glass dishes
now and the cool thing about them they have the
lids for them.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
But their microwaves, say.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Re refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, even under a broiler, they can be used.
They can be cooked in, so your cast roles and
things like that can go from the refrigerator into the oven.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Wow. And okay, that's just kind of neat.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Yeah, this is something that you know that prep for
Thanksgiving and go straight from the refrigerator.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Okay, makes sense. That resonates Joila. That makes sense now.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
So I just thought this was a nice and they're
they're not expensive. It's sixty five bucks right now for
a set of four of the containers.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Uh, and you go to Tupperware dot com.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Okay, Now there's my question. Do they still do Tupperware
parties because this thing was sold at Tupperware parties for
years and years. That was their model. As a matter
of fact, you couldn't.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Buy them retail.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
I remember going to Tupperware parties because I would you know,
I have always liked the food, you know, saving in
the in the tech of Tumperware. I don't know if
they still have parties. If they do, they have diminished.
They've been really struggling to be relevant because there are
so many different options.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
And by the way, they were not inexpensive. Today they're competitive,
high quality. Yeah, no, I'm not arguing that at all.
And when you were the only guy in the Temperware party,
right yeah, she was.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Yes, I absolutely was nice way to pick up women,
for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Exactly. It's like being the only straight guy in a
chorus in a musical, in the chorus, right yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
I'll take Okay, fair enough, odds properly, But I just thought, uh,
you know, these are a nice set. It's it's fairly Uh,
it's well priced and if people are interested now it's
a good time because Thanksgiving and the holidays are coming,
and who doesn't need more food containers?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Fair enough? Okay, I think we have no wet Let
me take an early break because I want to get
into Thanksgiving bundles. Yeah, you buy Thanksgiving Walmart much cheaper.
And the President is making a very big deal of
the fact that Walmart is selling the Thanksgiving bundles this
year for far less than last year, leaving out the

(04:19):
fact that it's basically one can of yams and that
is it. That's your Thanksgiving?

Speaker 3 (04:25):
How long before we get trump Mart? Trump Mart?

Speaker 2 (04:29):
All right, a couple of things, the grocery store, the
Thanksgiving bundles, and a lot of people buy their packages
of Thanksgiving, which I'm doing. You know, I'm not going
to cook. You know, I'm going to deli. Here we go.
There's eight of us, give me eight dinners. So what's
going on with this?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Well, this is kind of a hybrid.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
You're if you're going to be purchasing all the you know,
we tend to eat the same things around Thanksgiving, right,
So places like all the and Costco of course, and
I think even Sam's Club and Target they're putting together
these bundles, and I think it's kind of a smart idea.
So rather than just grabbing things off the shelf and

(05:13):
hoping that you're going to hit a particular dollar mark.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
For the staples.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
They're putting together these lists, and most of them around
the forty dollars mark, which is about four. It feeds
ten or serves ten, and that means it's about four
dollars per person. So you're talking the turkey, chicken broth,
condensed cream of mushroom soup which a lot of people use,
evaporated milkoins, sweet rolls, all these things. These lists, yellow onions,

(05:43):
baby peeled care, it's celery, cranberries, pie crust.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
That you can and that's one package you buy.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, these are broken up to feed ten people or
to serve ten people.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Now, this is not pre cooked. We're not talking about buying.
It's you put it, you heat it up, put it
on the table, let's go, let's let's go eat.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
No, this is the ingredients to make these things.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah, I do it. I do it the other way
because I'm lazy. I'm just incredibly lazy. As you know.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Well, if you get into doing it the other way,
there are options. Of course, this is just for people
that are like, hey, if we're going to have a
lot of people over, or you don't want to have
to worry about having all the ingredients they're put in
these bundles, and I think it's smart.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Now.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
They did a recent study and when they broke down,
especially on the turkeys and stuff, the cheapest place or
the least expensive place to get your turkey, uh and
the fixens came out with Walmart.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
And that's not a huge surprise.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
But as far as the turkeys and stuff like that,
if you want it to be done for you, you
know pop Eyes.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
You and I enjoy pop Eyes. We haven't gone in
a while, but.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
They do occasion turkey, a whole cooked Cajun turkey that
you can order by calling your local Popeyes and you
can pick it up right there at the store. And
I think it's like eighty dollars or something like that,
but that's not that's.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Not inexpensive, but it is obviously different. Yeah, and it's
different than your traditional turkey, which frankly is dry as hell.
I mean, one of the things about Thanksgiving meals is
they're fairly tasteless. It's just there's not a whole lot there.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
How dare you The only thing tasteless here is you, sir?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Exactly?

Speaker 4 (07:32):
The turkey I think, when done right and when they're juicy.
I think turkey is very delicious, especially the next day
on a sandwich.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Oh good night.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
All right, let's do one more. And of course it's
a Costco story. The best Thanksgiving sides.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Okay, so this is great.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
If you're looking to cut corners, you want the pre meal,
you know, pre made stuff. Costco is going to be
a great place. They've got their Kirkland signs. At your
broccoli salad, it's got walnuts, it's got a dressing with it,
the Kirkland signature cranberry walnut round.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I have one of those right now. Yesterday I had
a sandwich ham and cheese on the cranberry walnut bread. HM.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Fabulous, nice, very simple. But can add the potato and
cheese pirogis. If you want a little appetizer. They've got
the scalloped potatoes. That's the main Street bistro scaloped potatoes there,
they've got the signature. These come on now, garlic parmesan
dinner rolls come on.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
And their mac and cheese is spectacular.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Their mac and cheese is one of the big ones.
As a matter of fact, if I don't get time,
that's the dish I've got to make this year. If
I don't have time to make it, I'm gonna grab
those because oh yeah, they're excellent. So and you can
get your turkeys.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
There big difference between fresh and frozen turkeys. Big difference
between turkeys with and without feathers.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
So it's a little too fresh, the beak a little
too fresh.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah, So what do you do? Do you go frozen
or fresh? It's a lot more money for fresh, a
lot more money.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
It depends. I go both.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
And I don't have a problem with a frozen turkey
at all. It's it's still the quality of the bird.
You're better off getting a smaller bird, getting two of
them than getting one twenty five pound because the truth is,
turkeys don't grow that big naturally.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
No, I know, they're I mean, you know, the birds
just you know, they actually will. They're so top heavy
that they can actually fall over. I mean, it's just
just way top heavy. I like Michelle, who is incredibly
top heavy.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Leave producer Michelle alone. Okay, but it is funny when
she tips over.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
It certainly is. It's like tipping over a cow, you know,
just you.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Press it a back And that's the term you want
to use well, no, I'm not comparing.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
I'm not comparing her to a cow, but I am
comparing tipping her over just by uh huh.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Okay, I swear to God I'll come slap you.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Uh that We're done with this. Okay, let's get right
into it. Ask handle anything, where you ask handle anything.
We record the questions, Neil chooses them, and they're as
humiliating as possible. Okay, cono, first question.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Good morning, mister, Please ask mister handle what his hardest
class in law school was. I imagine it was all reading,
nothing but reading. What was his hardest class and why
in law school?

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Hey, what was your hardest class in law school?

Speaker 3 (10:45):
And why? It was all reading?

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Everything is reading in law school, I would sink. My
hardest class was that I had the most difficult time
with was under charging clients. That one I had a
tough one, probably criminal procedure, you know, and constitutional law
were pretty tough. So contracts were pretty tough for that

(11:11):
was first year, so administrative law was tough. I had
a lot of tough classes. Okay, good question.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Girls react when you told them you were leaving their
mother for a much younger woman. Yeah, you said, how
did your girls react when.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Oh, how did your girls react?

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Not well?

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Not well now, I mean they have no love Lindsey.
And by the way, she's not that much younger. I mean,
we make a big deal about how much younger she was.
I mean, granted I had to wait until she graduated
high school before we could have sex because I didn't
want to be arrested. But for the most part, yeah,
they didn't take it very well. They're fine now. But

(12:02):
that's a good question. Okay, Hi Bill, I have three
yes or no questions for you. Do you think in
your lifetime you will see manned flight to Mars, a
woman US president, and democracy in Russia?

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Thanks very much?

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yes, yes, and maybe really yeah, I think I might
be Russia. Maybe maybe that's so maybe you know, I mean,
at some point Putin's gonna die and Putin controls everything.
You know, for example, when you know at the end
of Trump's term and let's say jd Vance runs and wins,

(12:42):
it's not going to be the same presidency. It will
never be the same presidency as President Trump. That'll just
never happen. So yeah, we might we might see a
democracy and then the first two or yes, yes, definitely
marsh and yes to the first one, which I've completely forgotten.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
What he asked about a woman president.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Oh yeah, absolutely, I don't think.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
A woman president's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Well, you know, here's the problem. What we certainly, I'll
tell you, what we can't have is a woman who
is still has and she still has her period every month.
We have to have a postmenopausal woman because we cannot
take a chance of someone pressing the button every twenty
eight days. Really yeah, wow, Okay.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Kim Conway, Junior ladies and gentlemen, one.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
More till we take a break.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
Hi, I wanted to know when you were purchasing outdoor
furniture and your designer recommended furniture.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
That would last.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
Was that part of Dean Sharp's advice? And also was
Dean involved in your home remodel and design?

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (13:55):
And also as good question.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
Ah, my love to Neil and Dean, thank you.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yeah, the answer is Neil was a Dean was not
involved in my purchase and yes, furniture that last outdoor furniture.
I had no idea how expensive good outdoor furniture.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Oh yeah, for the good stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
It is science fiction because it is outside because of
the sun. Because of the weather goes up and down,
and it costs far more than the furniture inside my house.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
I will tell you this. You know, I love.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Doug and the whole gang over there at Outdoor Elegance,
I will tell them, And that's who I purchased mine from.
It is red, and it is in the sun constantly,
and there is no shift in colors. And it's got
to be at least eight years old.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yeah, but you pay big money for that. Yeah, yeah,
I mean that's the reality. I mean it's yeah. So
I did it on my we did it on our
own and it's what we shop. Then we took a
look and I mean we had a pretty good deal.
A lot of there's it's seconds. I mean there's a
lot of fading there. They got a lot of patches
that are on that furniture.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
And did you ever get the Motel six logo off
of it?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
No, No, it's still there. Before we get to the
next question, Neil a mention about.

Speaker 4 (15:22):

Okay, let's do it. We finish ask handle anything on
this Friday. KNO.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Next question George from North rich Bill.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
I hear you talking about we do of people having
to work on the holidays that will be Thanksgiving or
let's say Christmas or whatever holiday. Well, I know there's certain.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Jobs that require people to be there.

Speaker 6 (16:35):
But you know you're talking about the radio stations. Do
you think AI can can be applied to those days?
We're rather than to have a human come in, you
just have AI run the show.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Yeah, you know what, that's actually a good question too.
We're playing with that to find out, you know how AI.
Let me tell you if it works. You can to
see AI running the show three hundred and sixty five
days a year. Well, we looked for a couple of dollars.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
And a monkey's doing conna.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Yeah, but they got bumped.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
They were overqualified, well said, well said. Okay, another question.

Speaker 7 (17:10):
Hey, Bill, here's my question for you this morning. I
know you probably are quite aware of what the Mile
High Club is, and I don't care if you're remember.
I am curious though, that elevator you've installed in your home.
Are you a member of the Elevator Club? Just curious?

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Well, yeah, I mean it's it's my eighteen foot high
Mile High Club, eighteen foot High Club, And no, I
have not engaged in stripping in my elevator.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
How long does it take to get from the bottom
floor to the top floor?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
You know, it's a pneumatic elevator, so it takes from
first to second floor it takes about eighteen seconds. They're
pretty slow, and then time and then going yeah I
can do it, Yeah I can three times, and then
going down it takes longer because it's pneumatic and the
air escapes. But anyway, it's no, I have not. I

(18:08):
have not, but yeah I have not. Okay, cono Bill,
I'm curious.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
My question is this. A lot of people will talk
about owning gold. My question to you is, if you
do own gold, do you physically have it in your
hands or is it somewhere stored for you? And if
you say you have it in your hand, so what
value is it? If you don't go away, you can't
buy anything with it? Or how do you cash it out?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Okay, that is a very good question, and you have
a choice of how you hold gold. You can physically
have it in your house. I have a little bit
of gold. I use it as a doorstop. You can
store it, it's easy to cash it out. Who's ever
holding your gold? Like I do spots for lear Capital,
you can call them, call them up and just say hey,

(18:55):
sell the gold and you get a check. So there
are a bunch of different ways of holding gold, and
a lot of people physical gold. You can do it
with coins, you can do it with virtually anything.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
I do it with teeth, solid choice.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Yeah, yeah, so that was a while ago when I
had my tooth's done. They don't use gold anymore. All right, guys,
we are done. Quick word about tomorrow. Neil is broadcasting
live two to five pm at Wendy's in Mission via
Ho on Alicia Parkway. I am joining him. We'll be

(19:31):
there two to five o'clock and we are going to
be raising money and just having a great time. And
it's for pastathon.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
So going to follow up.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
He's going to be there, yeah, following you. I don't
know why I don't mention Tiffany because I just think
of your show and then.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Well, yeah, but she was new, she was newer addition, Yeah, okay,
great to have her out there, and it'll be yea.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Oh buy that fair enough. So that's tomorrow, two to
